A midsize SUV with towing capacity is a vehicle that is able to tow a moderate amount of weight behind it. This can be useful for those who need to tow a trailer or other large object occasionally, but don’t need a full-size SUV or truck to do so.
midsize SUVs with towing capacity typically have engines with more horsepower and torque than a standard midsize SUV, as well as a stronger suspension and brakes. Some models even come with special features like a trailer hitch and wiring harness, making it even easier to tow a trailer or camper.
Looking to upgrade your truck or SUV so you can haul your gear or new camper? Needing to haul some materials or equipment out to that next work site? These HD rear hitches are rated up to 8,000 pound towing capacity (depending on model) and come with a standard 2′′ receiver mount.
The Class III hitches are perfectly designed for use with smaller trucks and SUV’s. Engineered with a vehicle-specific design these hitches are precisely welded for superior strength and fit. Curt’s rear receiver hitches are co-cured in rust-resistant liquid A-coating inside and out to ensure the strongest protection against the elements.
A carbide powder coat finish gives a sleek look and acts as a final protection layer against corrosion. Vehicle-specific mounts allow for a seamless OEM look. This design also ensures maximum towing capacity for your specific ride.
Included is an open-back receiver tube that allows for easy cleaning and maintenance. Made in the USA (may include imported hardware) each hitch has vehicle-specific mounts that include all heavy-duty mounting hardware to help provide a hassle-free extra secure install (no drilling required on most models).
Grab yours now and hit the road with your mind at ease with the American-built tough Curt hitches!.

I feel as though I got what I paid for since I needed a 2 hitch receiver for my Sienna. I thought I was getting a Curt brand receiver and it even came in a Curt box and the hitch receiver was U-haul brand.
Personally, I dont care since it was black and fits my van great and gets the job done. But clearly the Curt product was switched for a U-haul, hence the three star review. The U-Haul product does work well and is secure to get the job done.
Got 5his to mount a snowplow on my 2016 JKU(haven’t got the plow yet). The instructions are very basic, but it’s literally 6 bolts. The toughest part is fishing the wires through for the bolts. Getting it on was a pain by myself so you might want a friends hands to help.
I had to pound it on but it’s solid steel so you won’t hurt it. Overall I was happy with the purchase.
I ordered the Curt Class III hitch for my ’02 Sienna. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Installation instructions were simple and clear. Just dropped the spare tire and released the muffler from its rear hanger, and with four bolts the hitch was installed.
I really like how the hitch tucks up under the rear bumper with only the receiver visible. The hitch is well-made and beefy. I will be using it mainly to mount a 5-bike hitch rack but will likely find other uses too.

We took the Rightline truck bed tent with us on our cross- country honeymoon trip from Nebraska to Maine, and slept in it every other night. It’s actually pretty comfortable sleeping in the bed of a truck with a foam pad below (not included), and feels more safe and secure than a ground tent.
Park the truck anywhere within reason, and sleep for the night. It’s spacious and private enough to change clothes in. It went up in less than 5 minutes with one of us doing each side. The tent fit our ’14 Silverado (just like the one in the pic.
– same color, too) perfectly. It won’t scratch the paint. It comes with a little storage bag, and fits under the back seat. It’s made of durable but lightweight fabric, and is stylish and functional.
It comes with a rain hood. There are a couple of pockets on each side of the interior to store your cell phone, etc. in. We’ve used it more than 10 times now, and it’s still in new condition. The one feature I would add (that could likely affect other areas of the design, though) would be a pass- through from the tent front into the cab of the truck (provided it has a sliding rear window, of course).
That way, you could run cables for charging devices, listen to the radio, and even possibly use the vehicle’s heating/ cooling system for the tent. This wasdefinitely a good buy at the discounted price I paid, and I’d unhesitatingly recommend as sleeping quarters for anyone who wants to be able to just get in their truck and go.
Draw-Tite is the premier brand of custom trailer hitches. Established in 1946, Draw-Tite was born out of a passion for outstanding performance and has come to represent one of the best custom-fit vehicle products available today.
Each hitch designed must pass rigorous tests to become Tested Tough. With increased tongue weight capacity and integration of Hitch Match, an all-new accessory pairing guide, Draw-Tite is the brand of choice for years of dependable service.
Very easy to install. Look up Watch U-Hauls install video to learn a couple of tricks. “Drawtite hitch install 2014 Ford Explorer” Not as hard to wrestle in place as I expected. Since the truck has dual mufflers, I just rested the hitch across the top of the mufflers.
Although it is not visible in picture, mine came with the little tab welded to the hitch so you can install a plug connecter mounting bracket. I am very happy, this is a very clean looking install.
One of the few hitches I have mounted that actually seemed to be made for the vehicle. All hardware, which is 6 bolts, 6 washers and 2 nuts is included. The Tacoma frame is already threaded with “weld nuts” that accept the 4 large anodized bolts.
My truck was new and had no frame corrosion. If the truck has been on the road you might have to clean up the weld nuts with a wire brush. As such the 4 main bolts threaded right in. The other 2 bolts actually thread in through the rear step bumper then down through the hitch.
Draw-Tite provides 2 fish wires to help position the rear most bolts. This was the only time consuming part. If someone can help you for a couple minutes to hold the hitch to the frame this job is easier.
I used a floor jack and some boards to hold it up as there was no one else to help. Anyway, all the holes line up, there is no drilling and all you need is a 1/2 inch drive socket set and you definitely do not need to pay an installer.
It should have been easier than it was. The flanges that bolt to the frame were not quite square- may have been dropped on one end to tweak it out of place- so it required a bit of mechanics to get it bent back out to proper alignment.
Fortunately I did it at work so I had some heavier equipment to persuade it to cooperate. Otherwise , all good. Easy instructions, straight forward project There was no damage to the shipping box, so if it was dropped, it was prior to shipping.
Ideal on 2-door Jeeps and lighter SUVs for everyday pulls and getting yourself out of trouble. The VR EVO 8 and 8-S feature IP68-rated waterproof construction, an ultra-reliable Albright contactor inside a relocatable control pack and a state-of-the-art, 2-in-1 remote for added ease of use and versatility.
With its fast line-speed and lower amp draw, the VR EVO series of winches are the hardest-working standard-duty winches weve ever made, with tactical styling that looks great up front and at a price that wont pull you out of your budget.
I have a 99 Isuzu trooper with a ARB bumper. winch arrived with broken plastic cover on top. This is the first Winch I’ve ever had but it was sent back and am currently waiting the replacement. The instruction for installation would be easy If I Owned A jeep.
The installation instructions for a Trooper are not included. I know the simple fix is buy a Jeep, but I like my little outcast At least it isn’t a bronco.
Can’t really say much about it as I haven’t had time to fit it. “To many projects on the go” but they keep nagging me for a review, so here go’s Winch looks the part, quick service and delivery. there is one thing Bimson power could improve on.
When ordering online it would be helpful if you were presented with a list compatible items you might need to complete the installation, such as brackets, and how about stocking some Anderson plugs for disconnecting power cable if making your winch portable/removable.
The warn be evo 10k winch with synthetic rope is by fr the most superior winch of all brands. Sure its a little more pricier but Id rather have a warn and get stuck than trust any one of the other brands.
Have not used it yet on my Jeep but I have used subpar winches on other peoples vehicles and they overheat or snap the line,(which is so, so dangerous), or they just plain old dont operate as describe in the manual.
Bottom line, why buy multiple winchs when you can just get a warn, with synthetic rope, and dont forget the cover to keep the rope from dry rotting, and you will never have to buy another ever, ever again.
When the wide-open road is calling your name but the convenience of having a daily car is holding you back, simply combine the best of both worlds when you tow your vehicle behind your RV with the Falcon 2 motorhome tow bar from Roadmaster.
This high-mounted tow bar easily simply slides into your trailer hitch receiver without requiring a ball mount, and features telescoping arms that lock into place automatically for secure use. The large hookup radius makes it easy to connect to your car without requiring hairline-accurate lining up.
Built with strong, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, this tow bar is finished in a high-tech powder coating. A fast and easy hookup and disconnect design lets you pack up and park with ease, and when you’re back home you can easily stow with a simply fold up design.
Best of all, this tow bar is made in the USA using real world physical testing.
Everything in the picture came in the box. No worn or broken/bent parts. All parts fit like they belonged on this setup. Very happy with the entire unit. It’s a earlier model with a pin and bail used in the stow position which to me is more secure than the plunger latch.
Great option for us. We wanted it to lock on to the back of the RV and stay there. It works slick as can be. I am 76 and hoped to never have to lift a heavy tow bar again, this does the trick. Easy set up even if tow vehicle isn’t perfectly straight.
Deluxe nylon-wrapped handles w/neoprene knuckle guards. Neoprene seat pads. Kwik-Connect Tow System. Three 30 gal vinyl air chambers, fully encased with 840 denier nylon.
Amazing tube! My kids favorite and the original tube lasted three years with heavy use so we gladly purchased another. This new tube is not the same quality – they cut major corners! Used to have three nice valves.
Now the only good valve is for the main chamber. The valves on each side are absolutely horrible. Worst design ever. Just terrible. They are cheap! Only tube I’ve ever seen with a valve that doesn’t hold air inside automatically.
This loses air as soon as you take the air pump out and it leaks until you rush to get the plug back into place. Not easy to do since the opening for the plug isn’t even lined up well and will get worse with use.
I bought one of these in the summer of 2013, we’re going into our 5th lake season with it. Other reviewers complained about wear and durability, but I haven’t had that problem with mine. We use it every other weekend from May to late October every year, and it’s held up.
We did have a hole in one of the pontoons, but that was from the kids ignoring my suggestion that they not jump on it while it was laying on the ground at the camp site. It patched up, and has made it two seasons since then with the patch still holding.
The hot dog is versatile, it’s an easy smooth ride if you choose to do that. My wife has fallen asleep on it riding, as has my daughter. If your kids like to be thrown, it’s a little harder to sling people off the hot dog than a conventional tube, as the pontoons provide a lot of stability.
I’ve found that running a tight figure-8 a few times builds a nice bed of waves in one of the loops, that is sure to launch people. My youngest enjoys riding the hot dog the length of the lake while we’re cruising, as well.
We have bought 4 additional tubes since I bought the hot dog, and no one likes them as much, so this year, I’m just going to leave those at home. The only problems I’ve noticed in nearly 5 years of very extensive use (hundreds of hours) are that the canvas cover has faded from exposure to the sun, and while there are three seats, we’ve never been able to get it to stay up with three passengers.
Even in a best-case scenario with one adult and two 8-year olds, with the adult in the back, the front submarines with a third passenger. And that’s with using a stabilizer egg (keeps rope above water and out of the wake) on the rope halfway between the boat and the hot dog.
When this one finally does die, I’ll definitely be buying another.
This hotdog towable works well, is very stable, and our kids love it, but it doesn’t hold air very long. I aired it up until it was pretty firm and after about an hour of use it was kinda floppy and needed to be filled up again.
I would give it 5 stars if it would just hold air. I have read other reviews that complained about this same issue and still purchased it. It may be a flaw in the design or materials. I would not recommend this toy unless you are okay with adding air every hour to keep it firm.
Universal Nighthawk Tow Bar (676) by Roadmaster. With 8000 lbs Safety Cables and 6-wire Electric Cord. With this product that is made utilizing only the highest quality materials and the latest manufacturing technologies, you can safely haul your loads no matter whether you’re simply going from point A to B or heading for a long trip.
Built to last, it brings a great combination of durability and worry-free performance.
First time we went to use it LED lights do not work. I think Road master makes a good tow bar, but I bought this one because I really liked the added safety of the lights on the bar. If I could return it I would, looks like I’m stuck with it.
The CURT Class 3 trailer hitch is the most common type of trailer hitch installed on full-size pickup trucks and SUVs. It is also popular on crossovers and mid-size trucks. CURT Class 3 hitches range in gross trailer weight capacity from 3,500 lbs.
to an impressive 8,000 lbs. and offer a comparable tongue weight capacity ranging from 350 lbs. to 800 lbs. These hitches are engineered to be strong and capable, having a quality steel frame in round tube or square tube form.
Class 3 trailer hitches are able to tow most standard size trailers. This type of hitch uses a 2 in. x 2 in. receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or towing accessory with an equivalent shank.
One special feature about the Class 3 that is not found in Classes 1 or 2 is its compatibility with a weight distribution hitch. When used in combination with a WD hitch, the Class 3 hitches gross trailer weight capacity increases to 12,000 lbs.
and the tongue weight capacity to 1,200 lbs. CURT Class 3 hitches are put through strenuous testing before they are deemed ready for market. They also come with 2 coatings a liquid Aquence coating and a powder coat in high-gloss black that cure together to form a strong resistance against rust, scratching, UV damage and other wear.
Wow! That shipped really fast. I had someone put it on for me and he had it on in less than 20 mn. It bolted right up. That is the best thing ever and for a great price. Thanks
My friend has a hitch made by curt for his Honda CRV, and I liked how it looked on his vehicle. I did some research, read several of the online reviews and decided to go for it. I mounted the hitch in about 15minures using hand tools.
The rear howls in the hitch are cleverly designed so that the hitch can be mounted with ease, it will basically center the hitch on the vehicle automatically. After its mounted there is barely any exposure, so you cannot hit your knees on it while your loading.
First installed a class 3 hitch on my wife’s Subaru Outback. On that installation contrary to the directions, I found it better to drill holes from the inside rather than outside exposed to the weather.
On my sons RAV4, no Drilling, 4 bolts into threaded holes in the frame. 15 minutes.

I watched the Curt video to learn how to install the 11555 class 1. It was very helpful BUT the diagram of the under-panel that had to have a hole cut into did not even closely resemble the actual panel.
I had to estimate and then modify my cut once it was being re-attached (while under the car). I did learn what “fish wire” was.
have to modify vehicle frame took well over an hour to install, the instruction were not clear. i install a curt hitch on my other truck with no problem. both vehicles are hondas, but this is not an exact fit as advertised.

This was not an easy job at all. The exhaust system had 3 connections points that had to be taken off to drop the muffler to have access to mounting the hitch. Drilling the hole was okay and feeding the lugs, washers and nuts was okay.
The heat shield was a real problem as I cut it as shown in Utube videos but it was not enough and the shield was blocking one of the attachment bolts, so snip, snip and I got it in place. The rubber straps to reattach the exhaust system (3) were totally difficult to do especially the two on the muffler.
The tail pipe was okay. I had to lube the rubber fasteners and stretch the hell out of them to reattach. Finally got it. Looks great, works great. Oh year I was NOT on a life but on the ground.
Arrived in a box – nice! Hitch had one pretty good scratch on it – no worries, touched it up right away with some Rustoleum. Install kit was intact – that’s the main problem I’ve seen with these. Watched a video on YouTube for installing a U-haul hitch (looks exactly like the Draw Tite) on my 2017 Honda CR-V, and was spot on.
Took the gal in the video about 15 mins, took me 2 hrs, but hey, I’m an amateur, don’t have a lift, used jack stands, and was operating upside down under the back of the vehicle the whole time. There’s like 6 steps involved in the install, and each has its “Challenges”.
Overall, a pretty easy install and now we’re set to haul bicycles around!.
I got this for my 2015 Outback. I actually had the dealer install it when another garage didn’t want to drill into the frame because they didn’t have the right tool. That made me do some investigating and I found another reviewer somewhere mention that this can actually be installed using the Subaru install instructions for the OEM trailer hitch.
So I took it to my subaru dealer, cost a little more to install that way. Maybe $200-250, I can’t remember exactly. But the Subaru instructions include removing the rear bumper to get to the frame, so no drilling is needed.
This seemed much better to me for the integrity of the car. Well worth the extra $100 on the install. Still, the install plus this hitch came in lower than what the originally quoted me for to have the Subaru hitch with a little 1″ receiver.

Ordered on a Sunday, said would be here in 5 to 7 days. it came in 2 days! super easy installation! had an issue with my 2004 saturn vue. the welded nuts inside the fame were to rusted to accept the supplied bolts.
had to take the rear bumper off and cut the welded nuts off the frame and added nuts from the hardware store. hitch fits perfectly and looks great!.
I’m 66 yrs. old and by far this was the easiest and fastest trailer hitch install I have ever done by my self. Well designed for super easy install of this quality built class 3 hitch. Highly recommend this Curt hitch and I give it a five star rating.
I was very surprised to find that I had to bend the side bars in order to get the hitch to fit. When I sent an e mail to the manufacturer they said this is common and go ahead and bend it to fit. It was not easy to bend especially as a do it your selfer I have bought several of these type hitches from Hidden Hitch and and never have had to bend anything to make it fit.

Strengthened with a cast welded seamless collar. Equipped with an open-back receiver for easy cleaning.
I just installed the hitch on my Nissan Xterra. The instructions were clear and straightforward. The hitch seems very well constructed. I had a little trouble getting the bolts one side to line up, but I’m pretty sure that has to do with my 18 year old car being a bit banged up, rather than a defect with the product.
A slight “adjustment” to the rear bumper did the trick.
Very nice great quality hitch and accessories. The installation time is roughly 2 hours under good circumstances, I took me 3 hours because I had trouble with removing the spare tire and exhaust bracket.
But overall, it’s nice to have. You will have to lower the spare tire and loosen the exhaust bracket.
Auto anything is great they had it in stock and it shipped right away(and on the weekend of the fourth of July), other places that I shopped around at had it back ordered for two months! Installation was simple with two people, I didn’t even have to even detach the exhaust pipe, just dropped the spare my dad set up the passenger side then I linded up the driver side dropped the bolts and it went up one two three.
The only thing I did was put a spacer for the rear exhaust pipe clamp so that it didn’t touch the hitch and you wouldn’t hear any clanging. Also the hitch is going to touch the rear spare tire(like most hitches) and when pressure is applied to the hitch it totally clears the rear tension bar in front of where the spare tire sits.
Would buy the product again and again and would also buy from auto anything in a heart beat. BTW thanks for the free fusion mount!!!.

For easy transportation and storage, the steel apparatus weighs 40 pounds and folds to stores on the backside of an RV. Count on convenient, reliable towing with the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar for any adventures you seek.
I had it installed by an RV and Jeep specialist. All went smoothly, from the base plate to the tow bar to the electrical hook-up. I’m confident, having made close to a dozen trips in the past three months.
My Jeep follows the RV solidly and the hook-up and un-hitch has proven to be easy to manage; and I am a senior citizen. I made a study of a number of tow products and I’m very happy that I chose the Blue Ox! It’s worth the cost, honestly.
Blue Ox products are superior. and I believe them to be the best in the RV flat towing industry. I can find no fault with this product, and in fact would recommend that anyone who needs a flat towing bar buy Blue Ox equipment.
I do though, have a big problem with sellers who use bait and switch tactics on their pricing. I looked at this product one evening. which we all know is tracked by IP addresses. and went back to buy the next morning only to discover that the price had increased by almost $100.
Since I was replacing a CHEAP tow bar that had failed I had extremely high expectations. I was not disappointed. I am especially impressed with how quick I can hook it up. Considering the alternative this product is worth every dollar.
Take your towing jobs to the next level with this Reese Towpower Adjustable Tow Bar. It is equipped with a split rail bar that folds closed for easy storage. The bar is also simple to attach and remove since only four pins are in place.
The kit also contains a 2-inch coupler and one set of universal bumper brackets. With a capacity of up to 5000 pounds, it a dependable tool that will help you tow vehicles and trailers. This Reese adjustable tow bar allows for the easy transport of other items, as well.
The base plate may require some fabrication prior to use to ensure the best fit for your truck. It is available in black and weighs 32. 45 pounds so you can be sure of it long-lasting durability. The tow bar kit will make sure you are ready to haul your toys, cars and campers.
The tow bar looked quite acceptable quality wise, and I was pleased until I assembled it. The two main bars from the hitch to the towed vehicle are each made in 2 sections joined together during assembly with steel inserts.
Unfortunately, the steel insert has too small a diameter to be a snug fit inside the main bars. After tightening the 4 bolts holding them all together, the fit is so loose that the bars wiggle and rattle.
Tightening the bolts to the recommended torque did nothing to correct the looseness. Neither did making them tighter. This appeared dangerous to me, and I promptly returned the tow bar to Walmart. Not a good product, and it’s especially disappointing that it has the Reese brand on it.
The only possible explanation for having the bars in 2 sections is to make it fit into a smaller box so it takes up less shelf space at Walmart. Husky has a tow bar that can be viewed online that appears to be made by the same manufacturer using the same components except the main bars are each made in one piece.
And it’s at a lower price than the one with the Reese branding at Walmart.
I purchased this tow bar to tow my son’s (Heavily modified) Suzuki Samurai up to the off road park behind my Chevy Blazer. The tow bar was easy enough to mount (drilling required) with the included hardware.
It has a two piece arm construction. There is a solid metal insert that goes between the two arm pieces to add rigidity to them, but the insert remains slightly movable inside the arm pieces, creating a little slop in the tow bar.
Because there is no brake control on the towed vehicle, the tow bar “clunks” and jerks a little on stops and starts. Probably not noticeable behind a large tow vehicle like a motor home, but is noticeable behind my Blazer.
Probably would be better if inserts fit tighter into arm sections and bolts would squeeze it down to make a tight fit (no slop). Other than a slight “clunk” every now and then, it works fine. This tow bar is rated for 5,000 lbs.
I believe this would be extremely noisy with a lot of jerkiness trying to tow that amount of weight.

Purchased this hitch receiver for my 2021 Ram 1500 Bighorn with the Class III Bumper Hitch. I didn’t realize you needed a separate hitch receiver to make it functional. It was definitely a cost savings instead of purchasing the full trailer hitch unit.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a 1/2” hex driver to start the install, so I had to visit a local auto parts store. Installation was easy, took about 30 minutes, torqued the bottom bolts to the recommended ft lbs, but the top bolt (350 ft lbs) exceeded my torque wrench capability, so I cranked it as hard as I could with the leverage I had.
I work at sheet metal fab shop, so all the components and the construction of the part are solid especially for the price, it looks really good on the truck it is nice and tucked up to the bumber, but the install is my only gripe on the install some of the holes didn’t line up and it made it difficult to get the bolts to tighten down.
The holes that didn’t line up were the ones that are located on the frame, where they supply the hardware to bolt to the frame not so much where the existing hardware is located on the frame. It also could of possibly that mine just pulled a little extra when they were in the welding proccess making it a pain for me to install, overall I am happy with it, just letting people know its not impossible but might be difficult.
Very well built. Not really worth a negative rating but the instructions are atrocious. Black and white, small photos and horribly blown out. Text is poorly worded. Better upclose photos in color OR computer graphics would be a lot better.
Use Curt’s website instead for instructions. Sorting through all that added quite a bit of time.
The CURT class 3 trailer hitch is the most common type of trailer hitch installed on full-size pickup trucks and SUVs. It is also popular on crossovers and mid-size trucks. This particular hitch is designed to be custom-fitted for the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado or the 2015 GMC Canyon.
It packs the punch of a heavyweight hitch while still staying light on its feet. CURT class 3 hitches range in gross trailer weight capacity from 3,500 pounds to an impressive 8,000 pounds and offer a comparable tongue weight capacity ranging from 350 to 800 pounds These hitches are engineered to be strong and capable, having a quality steel frame in round tube or square tube form.
Class 3 trailer hitches are able to tow most standard size trailers. This type of hitch uses a 2″ x 2″ receiver tube opening to accept a ball mount or towing accessory with an equivalent shank. One special feature about the class 3 that is not found in classes 1 or 2 is its compatibility with a weight distribution hitch.
When used in combination with a WD hitch, this class 3’s gross trailer weight capacity increases up to 10,000 pounds and the tongue weight capacity to 1,000 pounds CURT class 3 hitches are put through strenuous testing before they are deemed ready for market.
They also come with two coatings – a liquid Aquence coating and a powder coat in high-gloss black – that cure together to form a strong resistance against rust, scratching, UV damage and other wear.
This is the 3rd Curt trailer hitch I have purchased. And it is a very high quality hitch like the first two. Installation was as easy as can be expected. It is well designed for the intended purpose.
The only issue I have is that the cross bar is visible from behind the Sedona. It’s the same with other manufacturers but I’m slightly disappointed because the crossbar on the Curt hitch on my Chrysler Town & Country is hidden behind the bumper for a cleaner look.
The item is a real piece of art. Fit very well my Kia Sedona 2016. Not too much effort. I was under the impression it was going to be smaller. Is big and weights about 50 pounds. But looks very good and there is no effect other than the extra weight on the vehicle.
Is going to be another 40 bucks yearly in gas to have it there. But I am very happy with it. Good construction, good appearance It does the job perfectly ok. Looks like factory install.
Even for me at age 77, it was simple to install The hitch without jacking up the van. The 6 attachment points aligned perfectly with the Sedona factory bolt holes. It only took about 1/2 hour to complete the installation.
The instructions were easy to follow but I don’t know why they said to discard the plastic dust cover on the driver’s side. I used a pair of scissors to cut a slit in it to fit around the hitch bracket and reinstalled it.

The installation would have been simpler with instructions and new bolts, both of which were neatly tucked into the receiver opening. If only I had known sooner than later. So, words to the wise: (1) After opening the box, look inside of the receiver neck; and (2), there are install videos available on U-Haul’s website.

No complaints. Fits perfectly on 2010 Honda CR-V. No drilling required. Used WD-40 in frame mount points to clear rust and debris (Florida car). Did have to lower muffler by slipping two rubber hangers off of top mount points.
No big deal after spraying with WD-40. Note that the hitch is expectedly heavy. I used a helper (wife) and an 8-foot 2X4 to lever the hitch into place.
Trailer hitch went on very easy. No modifications to car or hitch (Use one guy to hold while you bolt it in place. ) Electrical harness plugged in right where the instructions said it would. I have been using this system for over three years now with no complaints at all! JCG.
For starters, after FedEx delivered, there were large holes in the box and one of the hitch mounting areas was sticking out of the box. I am glad that CURT tapes the hardware to the hitch, or it probably would have been gone.
I installed this on a 7 year old CRV. The instruction stated that the threaded nuts in the frame might be rusty and it would take some effort to get them ready to accept the bolts. That was an understatement.
it took about an hour to get all the hole able to thread the bolts into. If I had a large metric tap, it would have taken much less time. When trying to get the hitch in place, the holes would not line up.
I finally got one side started, then needed to use a pry bar to stretch the hitch to reach the other holes. I think it may have been damaged in shipping, but I am not sure. After I got the bolts all started it finally went in fine and works well.
It did take me about 3 hours in total to get it in.

Nothing but love. Free shipping and better price than anyone I could find including wholesalers. Looks awesome also. Bluetooth remote unexpected cool feature.
After him-hawing for months I chose the WARN over cheaper made alternatives for reliability, ease of installation and safety for my family when the need arises. Installation was a snap. It appears to be put together nicely and worked as it should when I hooked it up.
The wiring harness installed easily. The Split loom was already installed to protect the positive lead. The bulky remote is not flimsy and easy to find when you need it.
There were NO installation instructions. Should the wiring been done BEFORE it gets mounted, or after? There is no “descriptive” layout of what is supposed to be hooked where on the module box. Currently I have no main ground wire hooked up, and have no idea where it’s supposed to go.
And the winch is already installed into the bumper. So as of now, it’s a 40 lb weight on the front doing nothing.

These trailer hitches are very confusing as many say that you need to drill. This is completely false. worst case you may need to enlarge the holes some, but that is unlikely. I installed on a ford escape 2011.
They have an install video where they have you use the included wire to pull a spacer doodad and a heavy bolt down an open hole on the side of your truck and then out 3 preexisting drilled holes in the chassis.
THe spacer doodads get “stuck” inside the long narrow hollow part preventing the bolt head from turning and allow you to tighten the bolt from the outside. SO you have 2 bolts sticking out the side towards the other side of the vehicle and 1 sticking out facing downwards.
They have you set up all 6 bolts first, but unless you are Kryptonian you obviously will not be able to compress the giant steel hitch and get it to fit. Thus I recommend doing the two bottom facing screws and then 1 side.
Raise it, tighten by hand, then fish the other side’s 2 bolts through, then tighten all. The product itself works great. Heavy bolts give a very secure finish. Nice thick coating as far as I can tell.
Everything lined up perfectly for me. great tolerences for the one I got at least.
Though I haven’t pulled anything with it yet I am impressed with the rugged, simple design of this hitch. The instructions are helpful and the mounting is straight-forward. not necessarily easy, however.
It’s just a little tricky to get the bolts inside the frame on my 09 Ford Escape. But with the included fish-wire it worked out quite well. Definitely helps to have two people to hold it up in place while starting the nuts.
Youtube videos were very helpful and it all took about an hour. I’m sure this hitch can tow more than my Escape can handle. PS It didn’t seem necessary to take off the spare tire for installation. We didn’t and it was no problem at all.
We did move the muffler off the hangers and out of the way, however, and that was helpful for the passenger side bolts.
Hitch was great. Exactly what I wanted. After installing wiring harness that came with this package my trailer lights woudnt work. After some troubleshooting and only plugging the plug in once I separated it from the trailer plug and found the ground terminal damaged.
After contacting Curt approximately 10 days earlier have received no satisfaction. I guess I’ll just cut it off and splice in a new plug. Should have bought a drawtite.
