20 Best Men’S Soap For Dry Skin (2023 Updated)

My husband loves this soap because it lathers well, is gently exfoliating, and doesn’t leave any film or residue on the skin. I love it because it has a wonderful scent that makes him and the bathroom smell wonderful without being overpowering.

We purchase a year’s supply during Dermstore’s annual holiday sales.

I’ve been using solely this bar for the past year and I love it. I work in southern Alberta climate in construction which means sweat build up and dust and dirt / cement constantly being packed into my skin.

I have to wear a harness 80% of the time which cause some aggressive acne to effect my shoulders and back. This bar has helped clear all that up. Smells great and works. I see no reason to switch.

For me, favorite soap of all time. Nice scent, exfoliates and does not leave my skin feeling dry. It is pricey. I’m a Dad with 3 kids and usually for the price of 1 bar of Baxter, I usually buy the 12 pack of soaps at Costco for the same price.

I do treat myself on Cyber Monday when it goes on sale. It last a decent amount time. Even when it gets down to the size of a quarter, I will put it on another soap bar wet so it will glue itself on and can be used up the next day.

My husband definitely like this soap he used same brand over and over for ages. He always telling me how soft and hydrate is he’s skin. Smells good too. He can wash he’s face too and he’s face is always soft and smooth.

It’s usually comes in three different colors or say fragrance to choose. Always smells fresh and controlling body odor specially my husband work all day landscaping. I didn’t see dryness or break outs on his face and his body skin feels smooth and soft always.

Looks hydrated and glowing. Price affordable.

For the first time I use such cosmetics for men. I took it from a promotion, very profitable. Excellent quality, my facial skin feels good. Moisturizes. I like the ingredients. Light aroma, very pleasant smell.

Does not irritate the skin, suitable for sensitive skin and aftershave. It’s like I used a cream. The packaging is suitable for travel.

I discovered this soap about a year ago and have used it since. The scent is very positive but in no way overwhelming. a fresh outdoors kind of scent. It helps moisterize my skin and reduces the dry skin itch during the low humidity of the winter.

I also use it for shaving my head and face because it works very well. I don’t waste my money on bodywash which was introduced by the soap companies to sell more soap and make more $$. This is a good product for men!.

Firstly I was amazed at the size of the soap bar. It is bigger than the normal bar soaps. The soap has a slight fragrance to it, so not too strong and not totally fragrance free as well, just the right amount.

The soap lathers a lot, so a small amount does a lot. First time I applied a bit lavishly and ended up with too much lather. Given this, I think a single bar will last a long time. At the same time, it doesn’t dissolve easily.

I haven’t dipped it and left it soaked in water, but with the usual water in the shower the soap doesn’t dissolve and create a mushy mess. Having used it for a week, I feel like the soap does a decent job at cleaning.

I’ve used it on my hair, face, body and am generally satisfied with it. It doesn’t leave my skin too dry. Overall I am pretty pleased with this.

The Art of Shaving Lavender essential oil body soap just smells fantastic. Can really tell quality ingredients used in this versus some of the synthetic additives used in others. Soap left no residue I experienced with others in the past and left skin feeling clean.

Soap is made in USA which is a plus and is an essential of my routine to tackle the day. It’s formulated same as their shaving products so I was able to shave using this as well in addition to using as soap in the shower.

Can’t recommend this enough to others.

The bar is HUGE. I mean its one of the biggest bars of soap I’ve ever used. The smell out of the package was great. Really refreshing and pleasant. The bar lathers really really well. Really surprised! The smell of the actual bar though went away after its first few.

The smell from the soap on the body doesn’t linger on your body. Overall the soap is just lacking the quality over time.

Another amazing product. My go to soap. No cons. All pros. This soap gets the dirt off. Lol I’m about to wash with the soap right now. Soap bar is big. Lasts and. Price is fair. My favorite is the amber woods scent one I believe it’s no 103.

The soap is great as expected but I find it hard to give this scent 5 stars due to product inconsistencies. My first bar was given to me as a gift and was a medium brown color and the scent was very oak forward with a hint of ‘spice’ to round out the scent and give it a clean and fresh quality; It was amazing! The next bars I ordered were very different; so different I thought they got mixed up and mislabeled/packaged.

they were a light tan and very spice forward with no hint of that nice earthy oak scent I love. The scent isn’t bad by any means; it still smells amazing. However, it’s not what I was expecting. A follow-up order yielded the darker, brown bars with that oak forward scent I love.

Quality Control on this bar as far as scent and color consistency isn’t there. There’s no way of telling which one you will get. I’ll still order because the scent(s) are still good. just wish it was more consistent.

Great soap! It’s good for my skin and it leaves it feeling clean, not oily or dry. I had a rah on my leg, and it went away after I began using this soap. I’m not sure if it was the soap, or something else, but all I know is that it went away.

The smell of the soap doesn’t linger on the skin, so it’s not a problem using a deodorant or cologne that would possibly clash with it. I’m not the most active person, but some soaps leave me smelling like I have been working out after a half a day, Dr.

Squatch does not. The bar lasts almost two weeks with the wooden soap dish included with my purchase. This soap costs a little more up from than the big name branded soaps, but I believe it comes out even or better in the wash (pun intended).

I believe this soap is a good value. I have tried the pine tar soap also. It’s good too. I look forward to trying other scents.

My now 16 year old son came across a Dr. Squatch ad on YouTube almost 2 years ago and begged me to buy it for him. I did without hesitation because I was so happy that my teenage son cared about how he smelled (LOL).

I was immediately impressed when I could smell the bars of soap through the packaging. I was in awe when I could smell the soap in the hallway that lead to the bathroom as he showered. My son was so amazed at how the scent lingered on him after he showered.

We both fell in love with this product and he is the only one that uses it (LOL). Since my first purchase 2 years ago for my son, he has only used Dr. Squatch soap. Makes me happy that he wants to not only be fresh and clean but smell fresh and clean as well.

I’d review your product but I can’t! I ordered it October 1st and it is now 20 days later and I still have not received it!! I only live 3-4 hours from your place in Toledo Ohio and so far USPS has shipped it from you to Indiana, back to Columbus Ohio, back to Dayton Ohio.

It’s taken 2 bars of soap over 20 days to make it only half way here!!! WTH?!? I ordered something from China the same day and it’s HERE already!?! That’s 6,000 miles away and had to go through customs and it got here before your soap coming from Hebron KY which is only 175 miles! The last time I ordered from you USPS shipped it from Hebron to Indiana then up to Wisconsin, back down to Columbus then over to Dayton, up to Detroit and finally to Toledo?!? UGH! Look, the soap is great other than being a little soft and the grit etc is perfect.

But for god’s sake for what people pay for a bar ship it with UPS or Fed Ex. It may be a little more than USPS but your customer’s will be happier when they get their product sooner, use it quicker and order more often! And before we say “it’s just a fluke” I first heard of you through a coworker who buys it for her husband.

So I asked her and she said, “yeah if I want to order it for his birthday or something I have to plan a month in advance. Their shipping department sucks!” So, not a fluke ya think?.

Pros: It definitely moisturizes my skin better than the bar soap I currently use. It lathers well and makes for a quick, clean wash. The smell is great and long-lasting, and I prefer this natural scent to the already good original body wash.

Cons: I haven’t used triple milled soaps before, and the smoothness takes getting used to. One of those plastic soap grippers would do well here. My only real gripe is the price. It costs close to double of what I usually pay for bar soap.

It’s definitely better than what I’ve use currently, but a smaller $ difference would make me switch more easily.

I enjoy my new HURON bar soap for cleaning my face and especially for pampering my whole body! The large bar creates a very creamy and dense cleansing foam with a lighter scent than my liquid HURON body wash.

The bar soap gently removes dirt, oil, and the stickiness after a long day or following a workout. I find the HURON bar to be soothing and softening; it is not at all oily or greasy. I like to use the HURON bar soap for my face interchangeably with the HURON liquid face wash.

I appreciate feeling the hydration from the bar without excessive moisturizing. It rinses easily and seems to replenish a natural equilibrium to my skin. My skin doesn’t retain an oily surface or spotty redness when I use HURON products.

The new HURON bar soap leaves my skin feeling healthy, enriched and refreshed!.

Literally the best soap I’ve ever used hands down. Citrus eucalyptus is my fav but that sandlewood reminds me of the smell of the resort I went to for my honeymoon. Very pleasant and relaxing as you exhale the aroma.

Wonderful job guys and don’t even get me started on the deodorant it’s my new favorite and I will not be using anything else but this. All I need now is for you guys to make a lotion or body cream for men.

Then I’ll have every bit of my shower routine I would need. Again all your products are amazing I’m so glad I found your website.

First got this because my skin has become sensitive to various chemicals found in a lot of household cleaners over the years. I liked the fact it was unscented. That was almost 2 years ago. This has been my “go to” ,I use it daily ,travel with a bar of it and just love it.

My skin issues have virtually disappeared. I usually order 4-5 bars at a time so I always have it on hand. And several people that have tried it here now also use it.

I have been using Bulldog Men’s After Shave Balm for years and especially like its fragrance. I tried their Sensitive Bar Soap and found its functionality and fragrance also to be appealing. I have very dry skin and the soap applied very smoothly with no irritations.

The lather was adequate, and the rinsing was very quick and complete leaving no soap film. The soap felt very nice and smooth on the skin. I often use a Body Wash during my shower and showered several times with and without with no skin reactions.

I now use the sensitive soap on its own with no other products and it functioned outstanding. Overall, the Bulldog Sensitive Soap is an excellent option for folks that have dry skin. I liked the fragrance as is and if it’s not too strong for your preference, you can supplement the soap with a fragranced Body Wash.

I give the Bulldog Sensitive Soap a 5-STAR Rating.

I have mild eczema, and my sensitive skin becomes irritated very easily. In my opinion, the Bulldog Sensitive Bar Soap is large than most soaps out there. Thus, you get bang for the buck. This bar soap is unscented.

This bar creates a rich lather to gently cleanse, without leaving your skin feeling tight or dry. The unscented soap contains baobab, oat, and willow herb. This bar soap is specifically formulated to cleanse the face and body.

Bulldog products never contain artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, or ingredients from animal sources. Lastly, this product is specifically built for men and contain natural ingredients.

First off I have to say my husband was very excited surprised he received a VoxBox from Influenster. He’s already a fan of Dove so I figured it would be perfect for him. Here is what he said about each: Extra Fresh Body Face Wash: ✅ for someone who is used to the bar of soap he actually liked this a lot.

He said all you need is a drop it goes a long way. The smell is great and he liked that you can get a body and face wash all in one. So far so good. no breakouts or irritation. Extra Fresh Antiperspirant: ❎ it was decent, had a great smell but he didn’t feel like it lasted him as long as the brand he currently wears.

He works outdoors and right now it’s summer, hot and sticky so he didn’t feel like this would be something he’d purchase again. But again, like everything else. great smell! Extra Fresh Fortifying Shampoo + Conditioner: ✅❎ He was mixed on this because normally he just uses shampoo because he has really short hair.

He couldn’t really say much about the all in one other than the smell being great and his hair feeling super clean. Extra Fresh Body Face Bar: ✅✅✅ His favorite, like the original he said it nourished his skin but unlike the sensitive bars we usually get this one made him feel manly HeHe (it did smell really good) All in all he said he would definitely purchase most of these products again when he runs out, just the antiperspirant wasn’t too great in his book.

Everything did smell really good I am extremely jealous that he got such an awesome VoxBox !!!.

This is the best bar soap for my money. I’ve used body washes in the past from many different brands, but I always found myself preferring bar soap instead. After that, I tried quite a few brands again.

This is my favorite for a few reasons: 1. It’s a moisturizer as well. As a child I had some skin rash problems and had to use the original white Dove bar soap. That is actually what originally led me to trying this one.

It certainly doesn’t make my skin baby smooth and soft (I wouldn’t want it to anyway), but it does help prevent cracking on my hands, knuckles, knees and elbows. 2. It smells good. My girlfriend loves it and says it smells “manly”.

Ok that’s all fine and good, but the real selling point is that the scent isn’t overpowering or cologne like. And, as mentioned before, it doesn’t smell like a pre-pubescent boy trying to get his first date.

3. It’s barely more than a dollar per bar. For something that cheap you would expect it to basically disintegrate after two showers. Not so with this soap. It lasts a full week usually, and very often more.

You can reasonably expect to get 7-10 showers per bar AT LEAST. So, less than $10 buy you some great smelling soap that will also help your skin stay healthy and it will last you almost three months.

It’s gone from 16 simpler ingredients to 22 and it doesn’t moisturize any where near as well as it used to. Why the major formula change from what it’s been for years without honestly disclosing it on the bottles? Companies advertise “new formula!” all the time.

This was my favorite body wash- zero dry skin quality clean scents. Now my skin is dry again and I would have never known why had I not had an older bottle on hand to check.

So sad that the scent changed on these bars. We compared a bar from the last pack to one from the new pack and it is like 2 different products with the new bar smelling like a cheap green apple/chemical smell.

It’s cloyingly sweet and overwhelmingly strong. We are likely going to donate the remaining bars to a shelter and look for something that smells better. This used to have a very pleasant masculine type of fresh scent.

I actually got this to fulfill a “free shipping order ” and wow! I’m actually gonna get like 10 more boxes! Perfect for my face and body as I’m switching from the “new style of liquid body wash” back to classic and old style of “bar soap.

” This does have a rough like texture as you scrub your body. Not sure why it’s like that. I guess the mini crystals or something to make it “cleaner ” gotta look into it but ya it’s better then your average “Mans” soap.

(Liquid body wash with the “loofah” lol always made me itch as i now know it irritated my skin and left me dry after showers. Switched to bad soap and no more itching or dry skin.

Her son recommended to her and she smells good, it has like a spice scent to it but agrees with her chemistry so I gave it a shot. Most soaps that work dry out my skin but this is the first soap I have used that cleans well and does not dry me out.

Even if this soap was unscented I would still get it. It’s now my go to soap. Bed Bath and Beyond has the best price as well. Love it.

I want to start this off by saying that if you smell this you cannot resist. It’s way too hard to. This easily is going to be my new favorite bar of soap to use. I’m usually a body wash person, but this felt amazing on my skin and lathers so well and the lather feels nice.

The shape of the soap is creative, looks like a brush shape at the bottom. Cleansed my skin wonderfully. My skin felt clean and smelled lovely, as well as looked hydrated and not at all stripped away of my natural glow.

My skin feels nourished and healthy and I genuinely recommend this bar of soap. Please keep this product available and don’t discontinue because I need to stock up, I have fallen in love with this scent and formula and look forward to expanding to the Shea Moisture products that I have already tried.

So this product was given to us complimentary to test and review! This is a review from both me and my boyfriend. Overall this soap was just okay. When I first used the soap I was very dissatisfied with it.

It dried out my skin completely. I was not happy using it. Outside of the fragrance I did not find this item as anything I would purchase in the future. However when my boyfriend used it he has found how great it is in clearing up skin blemishes, and scars.

He’s been targeting some body blemishes and noticed after the first use his bumps and skin imperfections were dried up and had little to no texture. He loves that about it and is so happy we received two bars! The fragrance is a big perk too.

He’s going to continue to use this on breakouts, blemishes and other common skin imperfections that appear on both face and body!.

I gave this soap to my nephew because hd has sensitive skin. He also likes this brand. The soap hydrates his skin and the infused shea butter and oil is a also benefit that leaves his skin feeling soft and moisturized.

His beard is also soft and healthy, thats one reason he likes it so much. Its a 2 in 1 product that he uses to clean his face and beard. He has added this product to his daily face regimen. The smell is light and not overpowering.

I picked this up on a whim when I was traveling, and I’m glad I did. I sometimes prefer more woodsy scents and this one smells very subtle and unisex. It doesn’t linger after so those prone to headaches don’t have to worry.

I like how it doesn’t have a strong scent. The scent says it all “Clean Comfort. ” That’s how it smells. It is very soothing for the skin and doesn’t leave the skin dry. I buy this all the time when available.

My husband uses this in the winter time because his skin likes to dry out and flake without it. It smells like cocoa butter, almost chocolatey smell, really helps moisturize and repair skin in no time.

It’s not greasy and cleans his face really well. His breakouts will be greatly improved upon the first use but especially after a few days of continual usage.

I love Palmer coco butter. I love the smell of it. The way it feels. The way it works. The smell is relaxing. I use it on my son the lotions. It makes your skin so soft really kills the dead skin. Try buying Palmers.

I love Palmers brand anything. It is not runny and it lasts long. I got this for my fiance because he is very particular about lotion. He dislikes floral or fruity smelling oils and lotions but he loves this.

We just purchased the oil and have yet to try it. But If it’s Palmers, it’s got to be perfect.

I’m very sad to admit, I don’t know what you guys have done, I’m not sure if it was a bad batch, or you’re cheaping out on materials, but I’ve ordered 2 competing brands pine tar soap because whatever you’ve been selling the past few months is GARBAGE compared to what it was.

James ‘and mikes commercials brought me in, pine tar kept me happy. until you changed the recipe and now my girlfriend and I can’t even walk into our bathroom with that soap being in there. It’s smells so synthetic and fake now.

I don’t know what to think. I used to LOVE the original pine tar, bought it for all brother in laws for Christmas. now I wouldn’t give it away for free. I have 2 bars downstairs you sent me “free” that I’m actually trying to return, I genuinely don’t want FREE soap, it’s that bad.

I sincerely hope you fix it soon, because you’ve lost a 200$-500$ a year customer for good. I’ll let you know how 360Feel and the Black Stuff Companies soap compares because that’s who I’m going with until you fix this.

Make it right! go back to your original recipie, take this garbage you sent me back, and send me a few bars of original to replace this, and we’re square. Google “Dr Squatch Pine Tar new formula” and you’ll see there’s lots of others who’ve noticed and are extremely disappointed.

Fix it.

Basically, it’s soap. It’s main selling features are the scent, and the fact that it’s hand cut. OK neato. The scents are lovely, but they’re basically aromatherapy in the shower. Once you’re dried and ready for the day, there’s no lingering effect from the smell anyway.

As for the hand cut, that just means it’s inconsistent. I bought three bars, and they were all different sizes. Plus, each bar was basically gone in less than two weeks of just regular daily use. Simply put, you can go to a local farmer’s market and get as good or better for half the price, and not have to pay shipping (three bars of soap shipped to Canada was over $40.

so, not worth the price of admission). I might ask for a gift pack if I thought someone could buy this in a store. Fun and quirky YouTube ads are fun and quirky, but that doesn’t mean the product measures up.

Oh man what can I say about this awful product. 1) leaves your skin feeling all sticky and gross. Like a cheap bar of soap from Motel 6. 2) the color from the soap will stain your bath tub so be aware of this.

3) it doesn’t last long for the price you pay. I was able to finish my bar in about a week and a half. Thats pretty bad when I paid $16 for the soap and beard oil together. 4) once the bar gets smaller, it will break into multiple pieces which is super annoying.

5) the smell is so average. They market their soap as if women won’t be able to get enough of the smell but it doesn’t smell any different than any other soap you can find in the store. Final verdict: stick to body wash especially considering the price of dr Squatch products.

No wonder they advertise so much. They are desperately trying to make sales.

My boyfriend, son and I have been using Dr. Squatch products for just the last year and its completely changed everything! Our skin has absolutely never felt or looked better. I was a little weary of purchasing at first due to the bars being $7, tho when you consider the fact they are completely natural soaps I took the chance.

Their bars range in grit levels from zero to high grit. Zero grit leaves you feeling clean smelling great. My personal recommendation would be to go with medium to high grit as It opens up your pores and penetrates deep into your skin after removing the layer of built up dead skin.

Bro let me tell you about this soap. Absolutely LOVED this soap, it smells good, it cleans well, it makes my skin feel soft without drying it out, and the money goes to good causes. I hate bars of soap but these are amazing, the only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I wish it had more grit in it which is really just a personal preference there’s nothing wrong with the soap (I bought another soap with more grit in it from you guys).

I’ve had eczema my entire life, and none of the soaps I’ve tried have ever been okay for it. The best I’ve gotten is they don’t make it worse. I was about to give up and just accept that I would have painful rashes forever and I remembered this brand (thanks to those excellent commercials), and decided to give it one last go.

And god, I’m glad I did. This is the one soap in the world that /doesn’t/ exacerbate my rashes and /doesn’t/ dry out my skin. This soap makes my skin feel better, even. It cleans extremely well and leaves you very soft, and some of their scents have ingredients that are very soothing for damaged skin (goat’s milk, aloe, oatmeal, yogurt, etc.

), not to mention all the oils in it that hydrate you. I used to have to bandage my hands every other day because they could never heal due to exposure to all the chemicals and allergens used in other soaps.

But since I’ve tried this brand, I haven’t had to bandage my hands a single time, and my skin is /finally/ healing. It’s been /such/ a huge relief, I’ve cried multiple times over it. So if you’re like me and are looking for a soap that’s eczema-friendly, I can’t recommend this brand enough.

It might be a little pricey compared to big brands you see in stores, but I promise it is more than worth it. I know everyone is different and has different allergens and triggers, but because there are so few ingredients in this soap, I can only see people having issues with it if you’re allergic to a specific type of oil they use.

I like Mountain Ocean Coconut Skin Trip Lotion better than the soap; very coconut-y. I have used it for years. The soap smells more flowery/powdery than I remember it; but it is dense & lasts a good, long time.

This soap really makes you feel as if you’re on a trip to the islands !! Or a rain forest shower! It’s light and sensitive on the skin. Keeps skin feeling smooth and clean. I’ve been using since I’m 14 years old.

I seriously love this soap. It smells wonderful and it makes my skin really soft and smooth by the end of my shower. I like to lather it on directly or with a shower pouf. It smells slightly like coconuts and it feels really great.

It’s not oily, greasy, or too harsh. Ids fantastic. My only complaint is that it seems to melt away very quickly.

I’ve struggled with keratosis pilaris for years and years. Who knew that I just needed to find the right balance of moisturizing and scrubbing, or that this soap was it? My wife loves the scent, I feel confident and comfortable.
