20 Best Men’S Running Shoes Under 100 (2023 Updated)

I’ve been a Newton running shoes user for some time now. I had the Motion 10, the Boco at 5, the Chicago, NYC, and Texas Marathon special editions, the Distance 10 and I now got the Distance 11. I absolutely love all styles I used, the special editions are so much fun and they are always so very good, hands down, top performance.

At this time my favorite is the Distance and I got this later Distance 11 style. Newton never disappoints and this shoe has definitely met all of my expectations. From Day 1 they’ve felt as if I always had them – light, comfortable, confident, familiar, a bit springy, playful, it’s just awesome to run in them.

The older shoes I use for walking, it is always so tough to part with any of the older Newtons I had. I actually keep a couple as souvenirs. Oh, and over the years I did use every other running shoe brand.

The perpetual problem with every other brand is that when they modify the style that you liked, they usually change it for the worse. Just when you think that you found the shoe that fits you well and that you like, six months later when you need to buy it again you encounter the updated version which turns out to be not the one you hoped you will get.

I was tired of looking for shoes for hours, I no longer search. Newton is the solution. Strongly recommended. Not to mention that the company provides excellent and super timely service any time you may have issues of any kind.

This is my story. Love to run and usually run distance just for the sheer joy of it. As a younger man, I wore minimalist shoes. When I hit 40 I transitioned to a cushioned zero-drop. Little over a year ago, I took a bad step while running in the hills and hurt my knee (not bad enough to warrant a visit to the Dr.

) but continued to run for 10 more miles (eye roll). Wore a brace and had a rest period and soon after I started running again I had symptoms of IT band syndrome. Pain would set in right around 2 miles every run.

I found Newton shoes again and I thought at the very least it will help get my form back in check. Ordered a pair of Gravity’s on sale and went for a run and no pain. None. Tried out different Newton models but the Gravity’s are the perfect fit for me for comfort, weight, and stride.

Newton’s return/exchange policy is pretty amazing especially for me testing out the other models. I currently own 3 pairs (10, 11, +). Not saying Gravity’s will cure your aching parts. Just saying that this shoe worked out for me and now Newton has a customer for life.

I’ve been running weekly at least 15 miles for 20+ years. I’ve run marathons and other length races. These shoes are a game changer. For the past ten years, I’ve been running in Nike Frees and other Nike styles that give me more of a natural running position.

I credit those shoes and style of limited foot support with eliminating chronic IT band issues. A month ago, I took a chance on the Gravity 10 after trying them on a treadmill in the store, and without any transition, began running in them three times a week.

I doubt I’ll ever go back. The shoes actually add energy to my legs. The shoe has a support just under the ball of the foot that encourage my foot to land/strike at just the right spot for me. Like if I was sprinting barefoot in the grass.

They are lightweight and very breathable. A cold breeze runs through the shoe; my feet stay dry and cool. Good for treadmill and concrete/asphalt. Also ran well on packed dirt/low grass. Haven’t run more than 5 miles at a time on them yet, so I can’t say for sure the IT band will stay quiet.

But they are fun so far!.

I do HIIT style workouts that alternate between cardio based hybrid classes to heavy strength based classes. I’d been experiencing tight calves for months and thought nothing of them being related to my shoes until I purchased these and have them a whirl! Well I’m both surprised and happy to share that my calves are no longer giving me the trouble they were! These shoes are comfortable, with the best support on the ankle, they come up at a good height and fit snug giving good support for all directions! Perfect for my kind of training especially when there’s some running thrown in ! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a CrossFit style trainer!.

These shoes are CUTE and let me tell you how I can NEVER find cute shoes for my Husband in a Size 15 Wide! His shoe selection has been SO limited since he hit his teenage years and I FINALLY found a store that not only Carry’s his shoe size but also – has clothes that fit him length wise! SO many normal department stores have a ‘Big and Tall’ section and that has never worked out for us.

It’s 99% for more larger people – which is fine, but we need some 42, 36’s around here! So thankful that I found this store! P. S. He LOVES his new shoes! We’ll be shopping here Often!.

I am an Under Armour devotee. When I found these UA sneakers, it felt as if I had discovered gold! I live in an assisted living center with many other people who have medicinal and health needs. We are like a large family.

Word got out that my room is full of pink. So, these UA shoes were meant to be mine! We get many visitors. People always tell me that I have beautiful sneakers. I know for a fact that these are the most comfortable shoes.

I am a type 2 diabetic. I walk around several blocks to keep fit. It feels as if I were walking on clouds in the sky. I truly am in heaven.

The Nike Revolution 6 is a nice, lightweight running shoe with a thick cushion that provides good shock absorption and I believe would hold up against the test of time. Upon opening the box, I was immediately struck by the design of the shoe which is simple but striking.

My particular shoe was primarily dark gray with all of the trim being bright white. It’s a very smart looking shoe that stands out without being loud and audacious. Also the shoe looks and feels great barefoot.

I normally wear a size 12 shoe across the board and I felt the Nike Revolution 6 size 12 was a little snug. If you are doing casual running around the block, I would stick with your true size and wear a thin sock.

If you are running long distances, definitely get the next size up. Finally, a common problem I face with running or cross training shoes is that the laces are always untying. These shoe strings have a ribbed design that prevent them from untying easily and it works very well.

The laces have not untied once while wearing them.

Bought these a few weeks ago and treatin me well! My last pair was pretty loose behind my heel so I was pleased to find these hold on to my feet really well. Extra built in lip on the back makes pulling them on easy like a shoe horn would.

The adidas stripe logo is hard plastic and sometimes digs into the outside top of my foot though but with readjustment of the laces/tongue it settles into a more comfy position.

Very happy with shoes. Lightweight construction yet durable. On my feet all day, the construction is very breathable and feet do not get hot. I only wish the gel support was a little thicker but not a deterrent to purchase.

i bought these because it looks good, but after having them on as work shoes, they sure are excellent for the kind of work that i do. with its rounded toe feature, it sure does gives you the extra room for your toes to work with, even with socks on.

airy cause of the mesh like fabric that covers the front of the shoe. it sure is comfortable and a bargain for the price i paid. worth buying in my case.

I was so impressed with a previous pair of UA running shoes I bought which have now been totally worn out, I wanted to replace with a similar pair. They no longer make the ones I previously had so I purchased these hoping they would be similar.

Well believe it or not, they are better. As comfortable, but also have the addition of the toe reinforcement which is where my previous pair wore out. Very impressed no wearing in required either.

Great shoes as in my husband says they’re comfortable but you aren’t exactly getting what it shows either. These are men shoes and in the picture, the green is a dark color. Well they just arrived and the green is a very bright green almost feminine looking.

Not happy since I bought these for my husband and they now look feminine.

Everything was great about them except the material. Not a fan of suede because of how the material gets once you try and clean it, it turns ugly fairly quick; and I couldn’t really tell how much of the actual shoe was suede just by looking at the pictures online.

I’ll make sure to look closer next time.

Maybe the most comfortable Nike running shoe I ever bought. And stylish!!! Loved this show so much I bought 2 additional pairs in different colors. And then I started to wear them and the same issue happened with all 3 pairs, which is consistent with many other reviews.

They fall apart. The mesh area around the heel rips from the sole of the shoe. Happens after only a couple months. Very disappointing. I’ve filed claims direct with Nike.

I had been looking for a super comfy shoe to replace my OG flyknit trainers and these are exactly what I needed. Can easily slip them on and go. I even enjoy wearing them in the house as they feel like socks and I like being able to quickly go outside to the mailbox or hop on the bike for a quick ride.

I don’t run much anymore but I walk a ton and ride my bike daily and these are great for that. Worth the buy, just not sure about the durability aspect, if you are concerned about that you may have concerns.

Personally I don’t care and I’ll prob order a second pair to have as a backup when these are beat up, I can’t stop wearing them.

These were a gift for my husband. They are light weight and so comfortable! They look and feel amazing! Great quality for the affordable price. The free style has been my number 1 for years now. Totally recommend!!.

Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit Shoes Review The Nike react infinity run flyknit shoes are made for road running as well as work well for everyday use. They also work well in the trails although I would recommend running spikes if you run the trails a lot.

They come in variety of different colors and sizes with a very comfortable fit. They are by far the best running shoes I have ever used, and their shape and design improved my running form almost immediately.

The Nike react infinity run flyknit shoes have a lightweight fit with a stable feel. They have a more durable design with a flexible fit. Their higher foam sole gives for a softer feel while their wider base provides more stability.

They feature three main layers keep your feet secure while you’re running as well is designed to reduce injury to keep you on the run. The shape of the midsole helps the phases of a runner’s stride and creates flexibility at the toe which helps propel you forward.

The midstance provides for a cushioning at contact for a smoother run and it almost feels like you’re running or walking on cushion. When I run in the Nike infinity run flyknit shoes I just feel faster.

The soles design propels you forward and gives your bounce in your step. The curved sole helps you strike the ground on your toes which improves your stride and by landing on your toes you have a lesser chance of injury.

A faster tempo is guaranteed with running in them. Their vaporfly like rocker sole shape merges takeoff and landing into a smoother transition. This causes very little energy to be lost in stride so your legs will feel fresher longer throughout your run.

They have a sleek design that is comfortable for running but also for everyday use. They have a soft feel for walking or just chilling with your friends although the price is a little hefty if you’re only looking for shoes for everyday use.

They have a titer fit so if you are looking for slip on shoes, I would not recommend them although this does provide for a very comfortable fit for everyday use and running. If you are not particularly a runner but need athletic shoes these will be perfect.

Their easy to carry around and the lightweight fit is good for warming up for your game or just going to the gym. They do cost around $160 dollars although they are worth it. After wearing these shoes, I would highly recommend them especially to runners.

If you need a shoe that will give you a bounce in your step with a comfortable feel the Nike react infinity run flyknit shoes are the shoes for you. There durable design will last you for a long time however you wear them, running or just hanging out.

There price may be on the higher end at $160 but the Nike react infinity run flyknit shoes are worth it. If you need a new pair of kicks, I would highly recommend checking them out.

The Nike Jordan Delta 2 shoes are terrific shoes. While you can debate style and if it’s the right shoe for your lifestyle, it’s hard to argue that they are not well made high quality shoes that are worthy of the Jordan brand.

The shoes are very comfortable – they feel great to wear. Compared to other shoes I’ve worn these definitely feel like a lifestyle/casual shoe as they are immensely comfortable and have a lot of cushion.

Some of the really serious basketball shoes I’ve worn have felt a lot tighter with less cushion to allow for quicker movements and pivots on the court. And these shoes are a big bigger and bulkier compared to some of the running shoes I’ve worn.

So causal/lifestyle seems to fit them really well. The style of the shoe is of course subjective to the owner, but in my opinion these are well done. I’ve seen lots of shoes lately go with a lot of color and flair and these shoes are have that similar design direction, but they are muted enough that I think they’ll have a wide appeal.

The material is top notch on the outside and probably the most interesting stylistic piece are the attached brown suede (?) pieces of fabric. The brown attachments definitely stand out both from a color point of view, but also the way they are attached on top instead of blended into the shoe draws attention.

As mentioned above, these shoes are incredibly comfortable. I was able to wear them with essentially no break in period and got a lot of use out of them with no issues. I wore them simply as a daily shoe – not basketball and not running, did put a lot of miles on them.

All in all, these are great shoes. You can tell when wearing them that they are really high quality shoes. If you like their style and set your expectations for a comfortable shoe but not necessarily a serious basketball (or at least I prefer others) or running shoe you’ll be happy.

I LOVED my Under Armour Women’s Charged Bandit 5 Running Shoes. I bought the Halo Grey Size 7. ID 1535748. They were the most comfortable shoes I think I’ve ever worn. They were so light weight I would forget I had shoes on! The mesh allowed my feet to breathe it was so refreshing.

The huge bonus was the fact they were so stylish!! Overall one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. You may have noticed I’ve talked about these shoes in the past tense. That’s because these shoes are so nice two weeks after I purchased them my house was broke into and unfortunately my shoes were one of the things taken.

Believe it or not they were the one thing I was most heart broken over!! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quality stylish comfortable shoes.

My original purchase for these shoes was the wrong size and I realised a little later in the day. I contacted Rebel and informed them and they provided the easy return process for when I received the incorrect size.

Due to this, I was able to order the ‘correct’ size for the 2 x shoes that I ordered straight away, knowing that there wasn’t an issue with returning them. Love the shoes, comfortable and look good. So good that I’m only wearing them to the gym as I don’t want to get them dirty.

First time I have been like this but I think its due to my son being a shoe fan. In saying all this Under Armour sizing is a little smaller and I should have kept the first ones which were the incorrect size but would in fact have fitted perfectly.

(I didn’t even try them on just sent them straight back).

I started out really liking these shoes. but I should have listened to some of the negative reviews. Apparently, the heel design is flawed and the fabric wears through after 10-12 uses. Now I have plastic cutting into the back of me heel, rendering them useless.

UA claims to have a “Guarantee of performance” but it means nothing. They do not stand behind their products because they refused to do anything about their defective products other than offer scripted & empty apologies.

Their customer service reps wouldn’t even let me speak to a manager about their defective product. I work in the fitness industry and its sad that I will have to revert back to Nike since I cannot support a company that doesn’t stand behind their products or “guarantees of performance”, whatever that is supposed to mean.

I’m always a huge Project Rock fan and I’m super excited to get these shoes on sale! I’m a bit worried with the sizing as my PR3 runs a bit smaller so I had to get a bigger size than my usual (my feet size is 23.

5cm and I use US7 for gym shoes), but after reading some reviews on these, I bought my usual size and they’re spot on. I have average width on my front feet so putting them on isn’t a problem, however once inside, it feels wider and unstable as I can still move my feet side to side (I’m using UA heat gear socks).

I just hope they’re more fitted on the toe box. Tried them on different exercises and for me, I’ll just stick to using them during strength or weights training or isometric exercises. Other than that, I love how comfy and light it is, and they still make me feel like I work harder at the gym with them on.

The colour (love whites on gym shoes) and the design is a plus for me and I received a lot of compliments on how they look.

I really wanted to like this shoe. I was looking for something I could use for Orangetheory, where I would run 1. 5-2. 5 miles, four times a week, in addition to rowing and mild strength training. Working out intensely, stomping on these shoes with all-outs, it led to intense shin splints (which I’ve never had before) and bruising on my heal.

The shoe feels like concrete once you lift the super thin sole insert up. There was absolutely no cushion to soften my stride, nor arch support. The other downfall with this shoe is that it has absolutely no breathability so if you live in a hot climate like I do it will feel wildly uncomfortable.

When I added a much needed sole insert, it added even more heat insulation, and it felt like I was running with plastic bags wrapped around my feet. It was then I knew I needed to return the shoe. I’m just so thankful to rei for having such a stellar return policy.

I’ve been wearing my On Cloud running shoes for a few weeks now and believe I’ve logged enough miles to give a pretty fair review of them. Aesthetically I love them and they’ll probably become my go to travel sneakers.

The slick black style can easily go from workout to casual wear and very much like that. Immediately I noticed that they are not as cushioned as my traditional running shoes which I normally wear a Brooks or Asic.

On Cloud does makes a more cushioned version but it’s not this pair. I prefer low socks or no socks and even after being broken in I find that they still rub the back of my ankles not to the point of blisters or bleeding but noticeable irritation.

I’ve caught two rocks in the unique sole design. I’ve seen review were people complain a lot about getting rocks stuck. I don’t think it’s extremely common but it will happen. They’re a well made shoe and I look forward to continuing to wear the pair I’ve purchased, however, for the price I guess I was expecting a bit more.

This is my second pair. I notice On was phasing this specific style out, so I went ahead and bought a backup pair. I have massive feet pain from years of wearing heels and running marathons and for a while, after a hairline fracture, I thought I’d never run again.

Every shoe hurt, even brands I’d run in before: Saucony, Brooks, whatever. Normal sneakers hurt me too, just walking around/shopping/etc. On the recommendation of a friend, I actually bought the first pair just to walk around on a 2 week trip in Europe, and I couldn’t believe how unbelievably light they were.

They weight almost nothing and after they gave me zero pain during the Europe trip, I decided to try to run in them and lo and behold, no pain. I tried other models of Cloud running shoes, and these were the most comfortable for me.

I always buy under armour shoes for my kid because they last all year. Not when you buy them from Shoe Carnival. They fell apart in less than a month – tore and the bottom is almost gone. I sent Shoe Carnival pictures of these shoes vs the usual quality of Under Armour shoes we buy and they said it had to be an issue with quality to get a replacement or refund.

Shoes falling apart that quickly is an issue with quality. From what I read, these were Made in Vietnam because they have a different contact. The quality is junk. Save yourself the hassle and just buy them from Under Armour, cheaper to just spend the extra $20 or so than to buy multiple pairs of shoes every couple of months.

I bought these for work where I typically walk around 7miles/25k steps a day in (according to my phone) a day in. The first few hours of breaking them was okay, the discomfort was minimal but by the end of the night I was impressed.

I felt like I could go another 10,000 steps in them. The usual heel pain I’d have at the end of the night is gone with these. They’re very cushiony and work well with mid-high arches. Standing up was nice too and I didn’t feel like dragging my feet or sitting down.

As far as sizing goes, I went up to a size 7. 5 instead of my usual size 7 as they run small. As far as appearance goes, the mesh on the toebox will show your socks pretty good lol so don’t wear any scandalous ones.

There’s also reflective font on the shoes which comes in handy at night. I’m happy with my purchase and hope they hold up well.

Excellent cushion through the heel; does indeed feel more cushion than other shoes! Sparse through the toes and forefoot. This shoe was perfect for me as a narrow foot person who wanted lots of heel and mid-foot cushion for standing at work all day.

My heels feel much better and I can shift my weight a little and feel the cushion massage. I think with my running stance landing more on the front of the foot, I would want more cushion there (if I was to wear these running).

For trail running in particular, I would want a stiffer sole and more insulation at the front.

These are as amazing as I’d hoped. They do fit a bit narrow, so if you have wide feet these might not be for you. They are very comfortable. I haven’t used them for running yet, but walking around all day for work, they have been amazing right out of the box.

Great ventilation, which is why I got them, really shows up with even a mild breeze. Got caught in the rain in the morning, totally soaked, were almost totally dry by the end of the day. Super comfortable, great ventilation, incredible cushioning.

Highly recommended.

Buying this product was a huge mistake. When I checked them out at the store they seemed fine, but real world usage indicates otherwise. My feet hurt after walking even for 5-7 minutes, and the shoes seem to affect even my leg.

The staff at the Decathlon store too haven’t been as helpful and available (maybe short staffing) as they used to, before. That’s another factor which could lead to a good or bad purchase/product fit.

I’ve loved Decathlon products every single time for their great combination of pricing, quality, comfort and durability. This experience indicates that the brand has messed up its once brilliant USP and global approach here in India.

Sad that the Decathlon I trusted is mostly gone. Will have to switch to another brand (reluctantly).

[Rear till the end] Material is good. Looks are good too. It is comfortable in general. Feels soft and doesn’t feel tight. BUT I came to know about this problem after buying it, after I wore it for the first time for a few hours.

The sole is not wide enough for my feet. The inner side of my feet (thumb side) is always going out of the sole. This feels like an uneven surface under my feet and feels like Im wearing some cheap shoes.

At times it causes pain too, when playing sports where I need to run a lot (cricket, lawn tennis etc) Therefore Looks – 8/10 COMFORT – 0/10.

It’s going to be 4 years with these shoes and I’m really shocked that they’ve lasted so long. Before the two year warranty, I used to wear them only for running and jogging (2-3 times a week) After the 2 years warranty expiration, I started using them occasionally for basketball and squash.

They look great, they’re super light weight and they perform well. My feet love the fit. I would suggest you try them at the store as I had a different model of kalenji earlier and that was a little loose but this model was a perfect fit.

I’d like to buy a new pair but these shoes seem like they have at least one more year left in them. 5 stars.

I’ve been running in my On Cloudmonster shoes for over three months and have genuinely enjoyed racking up my daily miles in them. As you would expect by how they look, they are plush and extremely comfortable to run in.

However, with an average of 20 miles of road/sidewalk running per week, I’ve worn this pair of shoes beyond proper functionality and support. After only three months, the rubber outsole has deteriorated rapidly, while the foam midsole continues to lose its’ rebound, leaving the shoes not level in a static state.

Being a heavier bodybuilder at 170 lbs, I would attribute the quick wear and tear to my heavy, heel-pounding stride beating down on each shoe with every step. However, one possible design oversight on many On running shoes is the use of relatively thin rubber outsoles (especially compared to equivalent running shoes from Adidas and Hoka).

Perhaps if On used thicker, more resilient material for their outsoles, their shoes would last a little longer and rack up more miles before they fail, as all running shoes do. In summary, the On Cloudmonster are stylish and comfortable running shoes that look good, feel good and are bound to make many runners go the extra mile.

Unfortunately, for the heavier runners among us, they may not hold up for as much as you’d expect, given their price tag. † †For lighter weight runners, your mileage may vary.

I’d waited to get some miles under my belt with this show before attempting a review. For trails I’ve been using Cloudultra as I like On’s shoes off trail as they’re a little more firm and therefore better feedback.

When it came to the road this firmness translated to harshness for myself. Id been using Hoka but never really been the best shoe for me. I was very excited to read the reviews that this shoe was soft, especially with the weather turning and more road than trail work ahead.

Great fit and feel straight from the box and much softer ride for my feet compared to On’s other road shoes. The profile is noticeably higher than the road shoes but my foot feels secure, no bouncing or twisting going on.

I’d read reviews that people had to change their running style in these but no issues thus far from myself. The outsole doesn’t have those more traditional grooves that are characteristic of On, which thus far means less stones picked up, noting ore annoying to your cadence than the click click of stones picked up by that older outer sole.

A light shoe for the degree of cushioning and a very secure toe box. So a thorough 5 star from myself. Apologies as I can’t comment on how long they’ll last but they seem to be of the same high quality I’ve found with On over the years.

Had to back off on my training to cure sacroillitis in both hips, but was looking for a transition shoe to help me get back up and moving again. Needed max cushioning to control discomfort and tried Hoka Clifton first.

Loved the wide stance, and soft plush ride but it was too mushy. Full disclosure. there was also a vanity element to ditching the Clifton. to my observation, it has become the unofficial footwear choice of senior citizens.

Great comfort but just not willing to be part of that crowd yet. Was a little put off by the price of the Cloud monster. $170. 00 seemed about $20. 00 too much for this product but, it delivered on the promise of comfort and performance.

Within 24 hours my pain symptoms disappeared and I was back on the roads. at a much slower pace than usual, but moving forward. My one complaint/observation is that if a product is going to carry a premium price, there is no excuse not to use premium materials.

Please upgrade the sockliner to ortholite. I pulled, trimmed and replaced the original with the Clifton sockliner and it made a notable difference on step in feel. I have a few other pair of On shoes that I wear strictly wear just for casual, but the cloud monster if finally the first On product that I can actually run in.

I strongly recommend this product and look forward to some productive miles to come.

Very disappointed with this shoe. When I went to the Chicago Lincoln Park store and mentioned to the associate that I’d be running in the New Balance Fresh Foams for the past 10 years, these Swiss shoes were recommended.

Initially seemed like a great fit and quite comfortable but after running a handful of times in them, my feet have continued to hurt. I’ve never had issues with my feet before whether running in Fresh Foams or even barefoot for that matter.

I feel like I was taken for paying $140 and will be going back to the Fresh Foams which are considerably cheaper.

I am not a runner but wanted a cushioned walking shoe and this On Cloudrunner provides great mid and heel cushioning and support. Very comfortable and no break-in needed. Tried all the other competitors and this has the best look and support of all to me.

Also, since I have wide feet (wish they made more models in wide width) this is one of the few shoes that come in wide widths that actually fit me. Runs true to size and love the variations of the materials used on the black model.
