Pretty much, you get what you pay for. It’s a cheap road bike. The quality overall is ok, just ok. The gears is the single thing thats not of good quality. Everything is ok. The gears are cheap, and switch without you even switching them.

The chain popped off multiple times as I was riding it. I tried adjust the derailer but still not quite as accurate as other high end gear brands. Its a bike for a entry level rider whose main concern is price over quality.

This is a fantastic mountain bike. unboxing was a little tricky but with little patience its easy and pretty straightforward. Just needed a little support with the seat because its quite painful when you drive a long distance seating down.

I would definitely recommend to a friend. 90/100 for me.

The bike looked pretty good for the money for one season. Recently I faced with 2 issues which should not ever happen so fast on lightly used bike – the fork started leaking and slacking. I feel it’s too dangerous to continue riding on so loose fork – and right nut of bottom bracket if fall out of the frame (inner thread on frame looks damaged).

The repair cost is more than the bike costs – no sense to repair. To buy it you should be ok to pay $200+ for the bike for just one season. After the first 10-15 rides it falls apart.

Have only rode less than ten miles so far. Quick and easy to assemble, box arrived in good condition, damage to bike. Rear derailer shifter and brakes already seem tuned accurately. Crank derailer shifter shifts through all 3 crank gears but is only labeled for H & L gears so will have to relabel shifter myself.

My first road bike so can’t compare to others and been over 20 years since I’ve rode. Did replace seat with one that is better cushioned. Nice sleek looking frame. Alot stiffer ride than mountain bikes but to be expected on road bikes.

May see about putting a little wider tires for softer ride, comes with 28 wide. All n all I would recommend this bike to anyone wanting a nice road bike for begginers on a budget wanting a sleek look and nice color combo (black & white w/red accents).

I bought this bike to be a trail bike. I bought it a 120mm trail fork and a 190mm rear shock and the bike is fairing nicely. It does have a 44mm headset that adapts a 1 1/8″ steerer tube, so you will have to buy a 44mm 1 1/2″ to 1 1/8″ headset and press it in to adapt a tapered steerer.

And, absolutely none of the suspension bushings were greased, so you will also have to grease each suspension linkage, unless you want excessive wear on your suspension. Other than that, the bike is very solid and proves to be a nice and stable trail bike.

I would not recommend going over a 140mm size fork as the bike geometry can get a little unstable.

This is a very nice mountain bike. High quality. Excellent quality components. A very sturdy, strong, and comfortable ride. I highly recommend this bike to everyone.

Purchased the bike just over a month ago and took it out immediately for a quick ride before I started the single speed transformation. Frame geometry is modern, through frame cable routing, and hydraulic brakes for $399?? What a steal! Bike is now a single speed with new wheel set, stem, bars, tubeless tires, new front fork, and dropper post and it’s amazing!! If you are looking for a light frame with hydraulic brakes for a project bike, look no further.

The bike you get is not at all what the specs say. If the bike was built to specs, it would be a $1000 bike. 1. The cassette is not a Shimano HG31. Instead it’s a Shimano MF-TZ500 which is a freewheel and not a cassette.

2. Because it’s not an HG31 Cassette, this means the rear wheel hub is a freewheel hub which makes upgrades extremely challenging, and again this is not per spec as the spec says cassette. 3. The freewheel shipped with this bike is not an 11-31 range but a 14-28.

Again, not to spec and a much cheaper product. 4. The brakes shipped with this bike are not a Tektro brand, but a much cheaper version that has no online support. Overall, stay away, as there are much more honest companies to buy bikes from with much better parts for the same price.

I’m really impressed with the bike. It exceeded all of my expectations at this price level. 1. Fast shipping, the bike was well packed/protected (not a single scratch), everything easy to assemble and working out of the box.

2. The frame seems to be relatively light, love the paint job and the frame fits me pretty well (I’m 5’11” and ordered a 19″) 3. The hydraulic disc brakes are awesome. 4. Wheels and tires are ok, they will do the job 5.

The drive train is OK, but not made for rough trail rides. Expect a lot of chain slap and dropped chains. 6. I have been under biking for a while, riding gravel bikes on single track trails, so having some suspension is awesome, I recon the fork could be better, but I’m not changing in the near future unless it breaks.

Very happy with this purchase so far. Replaced an 18 speed mountain bike that was never comfortable to ride no matter how it was set up for me. I’m a senior who rides on paved roadways and not many hills here in FL, so this bike is perfect for my use.

I got this bike last week, and it’s been such a great experience. For all that it offers, I was shocked at how affordable it is. It also rides really, really well, but then my last bike. I took it out recently at the trail by the canal, and it performed great.

I don’t write reviews often, but this bike is really something to rave about.

This bike is extremely nice and well made. But it is not easy to put together! The front tire and breaks have given me a hard time. Otherwise, it is beautifully crafted and heavy duty!

The folding is mostly a source of noise and doesn’t quite serve the folding purpose. Folding the bike is quite complex and the space it saves is not much. It doesn’t hold still and needs the pedals to hold straight.

The bike stand is a joke, it’s too straight so the bike doesn’t hold and falls down. The gears are a bit off and need some tweaking but otherwise good. For the price I was expecting more.

This bicycle is very comfortable to ride, but it’s not heavy. It has 21 speeds to choose from. It makes me feel the fun of riding a bicycle. The appearance is so fashionable. I like it and wanna share my experience.

Great entry+ trail, unpaved road, off road grass/gravel, or paved trail bike. Go with the sizing per Cannondale website and then look on YouTube to adjust seat height, seat forward aft position. I went with Large at first and it was slightly too small.

Exchanged for XL frame and REI made it really easy and good exchange! Glad I bought at REI. Once I got XL home adjusted brake lever and shifter lever position, seat height, and seat a little backward.

Now I don’t have numb hands or pelvic area and legs feel even work on quads and hamstrings. Get the correct size and fiddle around with adjustments. it makes a good positive difference. I like the Cannondale trail 6.

Nice bike so far. Decent gearing for riding on flat road/trail and good gearing for off road or up trail or up hills.

I bought this bike 3 months ago and it’s a awesome bike for the price! I ride this bike hard and it holds up good. Upgraded to tubeless tires and rims and some Chester pedals with ergon grips and this bike is amazing.

The fork is great you just have to tune it a bit to get the most of it. But when you do, your going to feel like 100mm of travel is perfect. I find myself ride this bike more then my 130mm travel bike.

Also the 2x drivetrain is great. At first glance I thought that I was going to have a hard time with it but I was wrong. I had no chain drop and the gear ratio is great for the climbing I do. And yes 1x Drivetrain would be better but you really don’t need it you can use a old inertube as a chain stay protector.

This bike is perfect. Yes you are limited to fork options. But there is still a lot of good forks in the market like a suntor 120mm air fork. But if your in a budget like I am. The 100mm fork is perfect.

Also I just love hardtails. .

I highly, highly recommend sizing down if you are on the low end of one of the sizes on the sizing chart. This bike runs large. I am a woman, 125lb, 5’7″ with a 31″ standover height. And after reading reviews for the lower models of this bike with the same exact frame, I chose to go with a small instead of the medium the size chart would have put me at.

I am very glad I did this because the small is perfect. The medium would have been too big. I do kind of wish the Small came with a 29″ tire option instead of just the 27. 5″, but 27. 5″ are fine still.

But otherwise, this bike is pretty great. It shifts extremely smoothly, rides well, and it’s light enough that I can pick it up and maneuver it around with my measly muscles. I do think this bike is a little bit pricey compared to competitions specs for this general price range.

It’s missing some key features that a lot of other slightly cheaper bikes have such as more accessory mounting points, internal cable routing, and a tapered headtube. I also think for this price it could have gotten air shocks instead of coils.

But beggers cant be choosers during these crazy times and once I saw this one suddenly came available, I snatched it up after months of hunting for an available bike. And thankfully, the red color isn’t nearly as obnoxious in person as I thought it would be!.

So I’ve had this bike for less than a month. Two and a half weeks two be exact. And I ride it to work every day. It’s 4. 3 miles one way 8. 6 miles daily. And the chain broke. I haven’t been able to find a direct replacement so I just bought a chain and used the master link in the original chain.

Other than that it’s a great starter bike. Looking to do modifications at later dates will keep posted.

For a 29″ sized tire bike it comes with a very low saddle height, had to get a extension length saddle pole from third party. Front disc break is doing a solid job. Back brake pads are a bit flimsy and small sized for the wight it has to brake.

Also, brake in the bake isn’t a too good one, but works. Frame itself is well welded aluminum, had a welder buddy of mine notice that. Bike itself is not too heavy. Unfortunately the mounting of both tires and adjustment of brakes and gear shifters is up to you.

Will have to take it to a bicycle shop to adjust them right, been experimenting with lower gears 1 to 3 forever and still have trouble shifting into them. Makes riding it in my hilly area of the city a bit rougher, maybe that’s how they speed up their eBike sales, making people want to have pedal support up hill? Anyway, decent road bike so far, but honestly, I don’t think I would take it to the trails or down to the mountain tracks, that might be kind of a backfiring idea.

Would recommend it to you, but do your own research. Was the only one left online, when I got and needed it, but it’s a good bike for road use. Builds some leg muscles too, get to it ;).

Fantastic entry level mountain bike that feels very solid and is a joy to ride! The fact that both wheels can be easily removed makes it easy to transport. Wheel dimensions and gearing make you feel like you can go over nearly any obstacle.

After riding it several miles on very rough trails, I am hooked. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking to dive into the hobby of mountain biking.

Have the 2021 model and it’s a great value for the price. Shipping was quick(I’m on the west coast) and assembly was easy if you are even remotely mechanically inclined. Shifters were generally dialed in and had to make small adjustments to the brakes but loving this bike and experience purchasing from Jenson.

The seat tube is unable to lower due to the water bottle nuts. Also the tires and tubes are about the lowest quality imaginable. My son managed to have both tires go flat simply running over stickers in the oklahoma grass.

Bought as my entry level mountain/cross country bike, and I’m presently really impressed. Ofcourse as an entry level bike the are a few or atleast 2 aspects i had to change immediately. 1st would be the fork as all bikes in this or even slightly higher price range have well JUNK coil sprung type forks.

2nd for me anyway was the front crank although it’s Shimano it has to be their cheapest crankset, it’s not a true 3 piece crank at all! It’s actually stamped and pop riveted together. So in my opinion after i changed the 2 WOW what a bike, really only road ridden with a few lite trails and less than 5 miles on the bike.

But as a kid who grew up racing bmx I’m truly impress for less than $700 I feel it’s as good as any bike that price range and I’m willing to bet it’s BETTER!!!.

Before my purchase, I studied this bike, all the components, and the frame. I love the frame, and the components are the reason why you can buy this frame at a good price. So. I stripped the bike down, and replaced everything on it, and turned it into a 27.

5 (2. 5). So now the drive train is Shimano XT 8000 (3×11), carbon bars, headset and seatpost. Hydraulic breaks. Sunlite Inferno 27. 5 rims, and WTB 27. 5 2. 5 Convict rubber, and I run this tubeless.

Did I mention I love this frame?.

First of all, I was amazed that S&S had this bike available. In the OC, I had a heck of a time finding a 29r hardtail that had hydraulic brakes. I visited about 10 shops in a span of 2 weeks. Anyways, I got the bike and it took me about 1 hour to build it up as it was fairly simple.

It came super well packed w/o any damage so kudos to S&S! The bike is super smooth and really fun to ride. I think the only thing that would have been nice is if the shifting system was a 1X instead of the old style 2X but I knew that going in.

The thing I wanted to make sure was the braking system was good since my precious 10 year old son would be riding it. And yes, it was very good with solid engagement. Don’t ever buy a mountain bike w/ mechanical cable disc brakes! I tried several in my area and it’s almost like having no brakes – surprised by how dangerous they felt.

Anyways, good bike overall, so much so that I was thinking about getting one for myself as well.

After riding road bikes for a few years i thought id like to explore the trails and footpaths around my area. I settled on the marlin 6 as a good medium between price and level of components. When on the road it handles very well and looks fantastic although i do find myself looking for an extra gear.

When off the tarmac this bike is an absolute joy to ride,it handles gravel,mud and grass trails with ease and is extremely comfortable for longer rides. I haven’t been out on my road bike since purchasing this over a month ago.

Decent bike for trail use. Not brilliantly assembled. Back break rubbed when delivered and a lot of rattling from the front of the bike. Reasonable price though. Rides nicely but isn’t a really great bike.

Top end gearing too low for prolonged road use.

I brought this bike as a birthday present for my partner and it was a great choice. Its very attractive, easy to put together and rides really well. He loves it. I would highly recommend this bike for any mountain bike beginners.

The only downside was the delivery – the guy left the massive parcel outside and refused to help me bring it up (i live in a flat and couldnt carry it in or upstiars on my own) – he could have brought it up and delivered it to the front door (my actual address) contact free.

This is a very good entry level mountain bike. Lots of fun on fire roads and trails. Easy shifting with no issues at all, the rear derailleur with the clutch is really good. I changed the grips to lock on, and went tubeless.

We have a ton of goatheads in northern Arizona, you pretty much got to be tubeless. Paying attention to the inflation really makes this bike dial in. I know the front shocks aren’t rated the best, but I have had no issues with them at all.

For around town or bombing the trails, this climbs really well. I see a dropper post in the future.

This bike is great for new to intermediate riders. It is an XC bike with spot on geometry for various types of riding. The Microshift Advent drivetrain gives you plenty of range. The main thing holding this bike back is the coil spring fork but it is really the same fork you’ll find on any bike in this price range.

Plus you can upgrade it over time and this frame is a solid platform to do just that.

Love it. It’s well equipped at a great price. Can’t beat it. Also can appreciate the aggressive modern hardtail geometry. My only gripe is with the budget spring fork but that can eventually be changed.

It has at least 120 mm of travel were most bikes in this category only have 100. Overall the bike is great and plan on upgrading it over time as parts wear.

Service was good, got bike in 2 days. However, be careful with comparison chart specs. Stated alloy pedals “better” than comparison bike Giant talon 3. Arrived with plastic pedals and when i brought this up was told there was a disclaimer that stated specs can change at any time without notice.

I guess this is where the 2 week trail is absolutely necessary in order to remain within Australian Consumer Laws. Other issue the fork has NO lockout. After checling serial number with suntour website i found this fork was made in 2011!! Comparing this to the 2019 made fork in the giant talon is misleading as it does have lockout.

Also serial number shows this model as having lockout however one supplied doea not. This may have been a good buy a few yeard back but being able to get a giant atx 2020 model for RRP $549 with hydraulic brakes and suspension lockout no longer makes this a good buy.

Initially I was sent the wrong bike, however, after a very short phone call the mistake was rectified and my Polygon 4. 0 was re sent that day, I recieved it 2 days earlier than expected. Mistakes happen but I would like to point out the speed in which it was rectified and the excellent communication from bicycles online.

Their aftercare and customer service is way above expectation! The bike itself is fantastic, you have to fit a couple of basic things yourself but it came with a multi tool to allow this. I’ve not yet taken it for a proper ride but I have been out and about on it, very comfortable and very smooth.

I honestly thought this was going to be for reviewing EVO, so I’ll start there. Evo far exceeded any expectations for getting this bike out the door for me. I can’t say enough about buying from Evo. 10 days from the day I ordered my bike it’s now assembled in my garage.

The biggest holdup was more FedEx being, well, its usual slow self. As for the bike, it feels like a beast. Pretty simple getting it together and getting my dropper post installed. Some folks complain about that internal routing but I had no issues.

I just bought some new flat pedals for it in lieu of the stock nylon flats and I was on my way. Took very little time to assemble and calibrate everything. I haven’t had much of a chance to ride the trails because I did all of that on an extended lunch break, but I can already tell for the short up and down ride I did that this is exactly what I’ve wanted.

It was not my first choice originally I was going for the Marin Pine Mountain 1 bike originally supposed to be shipped on 10/20 or so, & waited a few days after no notification or email that order was delayed so my other option was the San Quentin 2 size large.

I am known to be patient, but not that patient from 9/27 to 10/23 that is when I went with the last Marin San Quentin 2 $20 more than I had paid for. There is nothing wrong with the bike when it arrive doing normal inspection everything checks out, & the only change was tubeless tires.

The only negative was cassette itself being impossible to remove either the lockring itself could be not capable of that much torque, or cross thread only noticed the issue simply want to check there is grease on the freehub spline plus the threads, & that is when I noticed the issue a few days ago had a bike shop inspect the issue they confirmed it.

So my overall, rating is 4. 5/5. 0 the bag with instructions + pedals + bike order receipt (Sticker) weird way, but welcoming.

I’ll start with the price, of which I give a review of 2 starts. Searching for this bike I found that it can be bought in New Zealand, from a store mind you, at a cost of $1215 AUD todays conversion Rate.

Yes, it’s in stock there and it can only be picked up in store. Considering that this bike can only be bought from bicycles online at the current price of $1600 + $110 delivery, I’d say that this is highway robbery.

Full disclosure, I did get it on ‘special’ for $100 less but still. The fact that only one outlet in Australia will provide this bike provides a monopoly situation, which is what this is. On to the bike.

There is a reason I suffered the price for this bike, and that is for the build kit, geometry and ok for a kid front fork. I expect this bike will be great for any 7-10 year old that rides at a higher level than average, likes to jump and will generally put a bike through the wringer.

My son does not have it yet, it’s for his birthday in a few months – I purchased it early to ensure both delivery (which was prompt) and availability in the current market. I hope that when it’s assembled, it lives up to my expectation.

Looks cool and that’s about it. Had nothing but trouble with the bike. Stores refused to help with Marin bikes. Bicycles online were helpful to a point but wouldn’t return the bike. I ended up selling it for half of what I paid 2 months after purchase because I felt like I was ripping them off.

My brother got a bobcat and had even more issues. We think we’ll have more satisfaction burning his than selling and cutting our losses. Your better off going to a bike store in person and dealing with someone backing their products with face to face support.
