20 Best Make Up For Over 50S (2023 Updated)

Really lovely foundation! One of the only ones I can apply quickly with just my fingers vs needing a sponge to blend. I have dry skin, and redness in my cheeks from rosacea. The coverage is light to medium, and it’s definitely hydrating.

I do a full skincare routine underneath and don’t have issues with pilling or anything. I usually set lightly with powder, just so it’s not sticky feeling. I love the 50 spf, although I still apply separate spf underneath since I prefer a light layer of foundation.

Because of the more liquid consistency, if I put too much on it does settle into lines, but I’ve found if I use less I still get the coverage I want and it doesn’t do that.

I received this item in exchange of my honest review and I have to admit I was very impressed by this foundation. For years I’ve been going only for the pricier foundations thinking I could never achieve the look I wanted from a grocery store foundation.

(I know, it sounds terrible but I had never been able to find a color/texture I liked and it always ended up looking fake and cakey). Honestly I think it is mainly because you cannot try the foundations at those stores and you don’t have the convenience of color match, but that’s a whole other subject.

I had been on the lookout for a full coverage foundation that still looked and felt natural. I thought I was looking for a unicorn until I got this Vobox a few weeks ago. First of all I’m impressed by the fact it matched perfectly.

But most importantly, it looks amazing! It covers all my imperfections and still looks like I’m not wearing much makeup (or non if I don’t use blush and highlighter). Not only that but it feels like a second skin and lasts all day long even in the Louisiana humid summer heat.

It feels very moisturizing and doesn’t dry my skin at all nor does it feel greasy and pasty like other dry skin foundations. As I said, it feels like a second skin. So much so that I don’t have that urge at the end of the day to take it off and often have been forgetting until bedtime.

With my usual “fancier” foundation, I feel like I “need” to wash it off as soon as I get home in the evening. I have to say, I’m a convert and will make this my everyday foundation. I absolute love it! Thanks @Revlon and @Influenster for letting me try it.

I have very oily mature skin and find that makeup tends to crease in fine lines and break up in surface oils. This is a very good option for combo and oily skin. Drugstore pricing is a bonus. I would compare this to Mac Studio Fix, Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Liquid, or the venerable Estee Lauder Double Wear (note: to date, NOTHING has ever touched the staying power of the original Double Wear, reformulated ca.

2013. ) Texture is almost gel-like in its weight and spreadability. It is buildable and feels like it meshes and flexes well with the skin. I got great application with both a buffing brush, and a damp sponge, but I prefer the sponge method.

My photos are after initial application and then after about 6hrs wear. I set with translucent powder. You can see where oils broke through on nose and chin, but lasting power is good overall, and most importantly it doesn’t look like a cakey mess when it inevitably fades.

“Oatmeal” shade is listed as neutral, but leans slightly warm and works pretty well for fair-light olive skin. In photos I am also wearing the new 5-in-one concealer in shade 02 under eyes (see my other review.

There are many things that I love about this foundation with a couple drawbacks. I’ve been using this foundation daily for a little over a week. That shows how much I’ve actually liked it. I was a bit skeptical as I’ve jumped from drugstore powder foundation in my teens to high end foundation as an adult and have not used drug store foundationsince teenage years.

I have been pleasantly surprised. I love that the foundation goes on as a light matte finish. All my makeup goes on very well. Mostly I love that once I have foundation on it feels so light on my skin that it doesn’t feel like I have foundation on.

Lastly, I love that I do not get dry patches around my mouth/face as I normally get with my high end foundation which I have really loved. My face is combination although Oily I do happen to have dry patches in certain areas.

Has SPF15, vitamin E, is extremely affordable, goes on beautifully. The color is a perfect match. My don’t likes. I do not like that this makeup seems to rub off quite easily. I do have a bad tendency to wipe my face a lot with my hands because I can feel my face getting Oily.

When I use my phone I can see transfer of makeup and when dabbing with a napkin. My face does tends to get shiny due to oil but not terrible with this foundation. Honestly, I think the trade off of having Oily dewy skin vs patches due to mattifying too much.

honestly I prefer it that way. I’ve really grown to like this foundation and can see myself buying this for everyday wear.

I am 60 years old, with dry, sensitive, post-menopausal skin. I have fine lines, redness and enlarged pores to consider, when using complexion products. My skin is light with pink tones. I look for clean formulas without chemical sunscreen.

I just could not find a medium-coverage foundation that is not matte (looks dry and settles in lines) and not dewy (transfers easily and emphasizes pores). I have tried so many products, have read all the reviews, and have heeded store employees’ advice.

And yet, my holy grail foundation remained out of reach. Until I tried the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation. PROS: This formula grips to my primer without mottling and is not drying nor dewy. It is comfortable on the skin and protects my skin without irritation.

The wear is very good, providing a skin-like finish that can handle the occasional hot flash. I was able to find a good shade match. I like the pump tube component. CONS: This product is only offered at Ulta and the brand website, so I worry about the company discontinuing it for lack of volume sales.

There are only 12 shades, so there may be challenges for some skintones. My Fair/Light shade is the only one not offered by Ulta in the just-released value size.

I am a very loyal IT Cosmetics girl and sometimes I don’t even know why. I think it’s because I love the ingredients list including snail mucin, ferments and high SPF in their skin products. They really do keep my skin looking good even after a full day of wearing their cc cream or this foundation.

I love the finish on both which give my skin a subtle glow without making it look greasy. I prefer this over the cc cream because it has more of a medium to light coverage (it’s definitely not full coverage!).

However, with both the cc cream and this foundation, I am annoyed by the oxidization that happens. As much as I love the skin care benefits of IT’s products, I am starting to look elsewhere for my go-to foundation.

I’ve tried reducing the oxidation by mixing it with one shade lighter (yes, I had to buy two tubes) and even then I turn orange/peach, just a lighter share of it. Maybe it’s just a reaction that takes place on my skin and it won’t for others but it’s bothersome enough for me to start giving up.

I have tried every foundation known to man and am a true makeup junkie. I am 48 years old and this is the only foundation I have ever owned that has not just ONCE, but repeatedly gone through SEVERAL tubes.

I sometimes think I want to try something new and I keep on coming back to this one. I have good skin, so I will start with that. I have some fine lines but nothing terrible. I feel like every foundation cakes or makes me look older.

This foundation NEVER cakes on me and blends into your skin yet covers beautifully. The finish is perfection. It is not too dry and not to dewy. I use this and if I take it up a notch I will add the Tarte shape tape for concealing, under eye, contouring etc.

This is another of my holy grail products. I have turned countless women on to both these products. Please read what I am going to say next about application carefully: Get those sponges. You can get the beauty blender, but the old fashioned wedge sponges work just as well.

Get them wet with warm water and sqeeze out the the access water. Sometimes I squeeze into a towel. Then pump a little onto the sponge and blend on your face. The sponge actually gets better after repeated use.

On the shape tape, you put it directly on your face and blend. If you use dry brush, fingers, or dry sponges, you will not get the same set or same blend. TRUST ME on this one tip. It will make all the difference.

On the foundation do this in layers until you achieve your result. You do not need much at all. I stay completely away from powder at my age, but if you must try the IT powders. They really are the best.

I personally much rather set with my 3rd holy grail which is Urban Decay all nighter (original), but only after all makeup is on and if it is a long day or date night. I prefer this foundation very much over the CC which is what I used to use for a long time.

I find this much more natural, better coverage, and easier to work with. I never break out with this either. THe SPF 50 is also a HUGE plus. Perfect for sunny climates and going to the beach. Try this! You will love it.

I love this product. I’ve tried many foundations and feel confident to be able to leave this honest review, let me tell you. I often times found myself with a foundation that was to heavy, or left me looking like a clown , because it was so obvious that I was wearing it due to caked on appearance despite my application being a light one.

Also have you ever worn foundation and it make you feel sweaty as in your skin couldn’t breathe? Those are the worst! This one does NONE of these things! I couldn’t even feel it once I applied it. It gave me wonderful coverage and natural appearance.

Felt lightweight, Blended beautifully, Easily glides on with sponge, brush or fingers. Best part is that a little goes a long way. I can’t even come up with one negative about it. Color matching was spot on for me as well.

I looked online and bought it without ever trying it out first and it was a perfect match. I’m not sure if it is still around forty dollars or not, however if so, it’s worth it. In this case you do get what you pay for.

I initially bought this in 4N a few months ago, and it was too light so I didn’t use it. I decided to pick up 2 more shades during the Sephora sale: 11. 5P and 10N. I didn’t open 10N, but I can say 11.

5P is slightly darker than Fenty 120 yet it worked out really well for me. Unfortunately, the shade match is the only good thing I can say about this formula. I don’t know why, but this foundation hates my skin and refused to blend into it.

I tried this formula with and without primer, and tried different primers (Tacha silk canvas, NYX marshmallow, Milani No-Pore Zone, Milk Hydrogrip) but this doesn’t look good on my skin. It refused to melt into my skin, regardless of whether I used a brush or sponge.

Even my favorite foundation brush left it looking like a weird mask sitting on my skin that would move around and get patchy. It sunk into my pores and clung to texture I didn’t know I had, but would slide off of other surfaces.

It immediately creased and settled into fine lines. This doesn’t happen with any other foundation I have tried, and I couldn’t make it look good. My skincare was the same as always, and I waited about an hour after doing so to apply my foundation.

I even tried blotting off any excess product before applying primer and foundation, but it was still awful. The best it ever looked was the last time I used it, because I tried to blot it down before setting it with my normal Huda powder.

Most of the foundation lifted with the blotting paper, except for the weird bits that wanted to stick to my pores and surprise texture. I have extremely oily skin, and it’s pretty common for me to have a foundation with a radiant or dewy finish crease or break apart within 2 hours.

Not this foundation, I couldn’t even finish my makeup! I had high hopes because I’ve seen and read reviews that say this foundation works even for oily skin types. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t like my face.

I am trying Sephora’s Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation (11. 5 P) for the first time. I had been using Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 by Clinique for quite a few years (and they are discontinuing it) and was looking for a replacement product.

I have fair/light skin with lots of dark spots and sun damage. I don’t wear a lot of makeup or products and mostly enjoy tinted moisturizers. That being said, I decided to try this foundation based on the many positive reviews! I give this foundation four stars (one star off as I don’t love it) for the range of colors that could match my skin tone/issues.

It wears very light and I like that and is medium coverage which I preffer. I normally can get away with moisturizing prior to foundation products but with this foundation I discovered it’s not good over top a moisturizer so I tried without moisturizer and it stayed on much better (without marks or uneven blending).

I have sensitive combination skin (drier with age) and sometimes break out. I had a few blemishes and this covered it well without the need for a lot of concealer. I will probably buy it again. We will see.

I have sensitive, oily skin. I’m also beginning to get some fine-lines at 36. Since the pandemic, I’ve started wearing makeup less and now I HATE the feeling of anything on my skin. This is a game changer for me.

It’s non-greasy and such a thin consistency that it feels like nothing is on my face. It doesn’t cake or settle in lines/wrinkles or creases (like around your nose which I hate). It also doesn’t have any fragrance.

When choosing your shade you really need to test it in the store. I always wear fair-neutral in all foundations and when I tried this using the virtual try-on, shade 11 (fair-neutral) looked perfect.

However, when I actually tested the products at Ulta, it was way too dark. I ended up going with the lightest shade, 10/fairest-warm. Luckily I’m neutral but pull slightly warm. If you’re very pale, like me, but are cool-toned or neutral leaning toward cool, you may find that this line is too dark for you.

Definitely test it in person if possible. APPLY WITH YOUR FINGERS. I tried using a brush, as the bottle recommended, as well as a BB (which was slightly better), but applying with my fingers looked the best.

I set this with plain old Wet ‘N’ Wild Photo Focus banana powder and it lasts all day. I also tried with my Too Faced powder and it didn’t really make a difference, so go with whatever you have. It doesn’t pill up with any of my moisturizers (I use Cetaphil matte lotion combined with the AcneFree lotion).

I tried several finishing sprays with it as well and none affected it. I do still get oily, but nothing abnormal. With a lot of foundations I’ve tried I tend to get a little more oily than bare-faced, so this is great.

I just use the new Revlon oil control volcano stone thing and it’s fine.

For some reason it isn’t giving me an option to add a pic so I’ll be detailed Much better shade range and consistency than the original cc cream. Not as thick and better options for us neutral-cool girls.

No one on these reviews ever mentions what color they are wearing so I felt compelled to do this review for that reason (come on ppl start stating your shade!!!!) so let me start by saying i am a pretty solid light medium neutral and the absolute perfect shade for me is medium cool!!! Perfect! I lean a little cooler than warm so I feel someone who is a solid cool will be fine in this.

I do have to be careful how much skincare I wear under this bc it can interact with the skincare in the foundation. It’s a beautiful foundation but it’s not going to get rid of texture or just “wow” you like some of these influencers make you think! I have very dry skin with pores fine lines and texture.

I do feel it does a good job on my pores but didn’t feel it did a ton for fine lines For reference im an nw25 in Mac. I can get by w nw22 and sometimes c3. 5 Wet n wild soft beige is a good match for me but runs a tad warm Lancome teint idole glow in 305 and can wear 330n as well.

(Please keep in mind that I am biased-my expectations of a perfect foundation for my skin are low to non-existent) I’ve seen people giving this bad reviews because it’s not for oily skin. I have extremely oily skin and these comments confuse me because in my opinion there is no perfect foundation for oily skin (that’s only my experience and if you’ve found your perfect one consider me jealous of your skin).

Never had one that was fully transfer proof for me (admittedly some brands are close but the foundation doesn’t look natural on me). I have tried so many foundations over the years. Regardless of which type of skin they are marketed for, I have to do work to make them work for me.

Some I have to set immediately and use a specific type of setting spray, for example. So idk if I like this because I’m more patient and willing to experiment with foundations or because I have really lowered my expectations based on my experiences, but I would not discourage someone from trying this themselves if they are curious about it.

No foundation ever looks good on me by the end of the day, especially if I don’t touch up with powder and spray, but for an event that won’t last forever I do love how skin-like this applies. I’m fully aware that I have to be very careful not to transfer, but that’s my experience with any foundation.

Thought I would just offer a different perspective before this gets disliked into oblivion lol I am NOT saying that anyone should have to expect to do extra work to make a foundation work for them. This review is for those who already know they have to experiment a bit.

This foundation provides SPF 15 sun protection which is always a bonus. The shade I chose is 150 BUFF and it blends well with my skin colour and creates a natural look. It also contains hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to avoid drying out the skin.

Its fluid and non-heavy texture is perfect for oily and combination skin as it goes on my skin well and spreads easily on the face. I like to use a damp beauty blender to quickly apply the product on my face – it only needs two pumps as a little goes a long way.

It offers a medium-to-full coverage, and is able to cover 70% to 80% of the blemishes on my skin. Although it is a little unrealistic to say that it will stay perfectly on the face for 24 hours, with the current temperature in Australia, it will usually last for at least 6-7 hours with the combination of setting powder.

When wearing this foundation under a mask, I think the foundation in my nose area of the t-zone is more likely to come off than the cheeks. So if you need to go out for a long time, some touch-up will likely be needed.

This foundation has a matte finish which is always my preference as I don’t like my skin to look too glossy. It’s also worth noting that this foundation doesn’t leave much foundation colour behind if you wipe your face with a tissue when sweating, so it helps me to maintain a good look after exercise.

Let me start by saying that my opinions and experiences are my own and may or may not reflect your own personal experience or opinion. I have normal-combination skin and like everyone I have some texture though not a lot.

I also have a few fine lines here and there starting to form though despite my age my skin is in excellent condition. I’m a lot closer to 40 than I am to 35 and usually get clocked for mid 20’s at most.

I recieved this in the shade Pearl and upon first application the shade seemed pretty spot on. I tend to have a difficult time nailing down a perfect match because I not only run between shades, my undertone is also hard to nail down.

Most foundations run either too dark or too light and the undertones run too pink or too yellow(including neutral undertones). I was excited when I saw that this one looked like I may have finally nailed down a perfect match first try.

It did wind up oxidizing a little though and as it dried down more it did start to pull a bit more yellow though I was able to still work with it. I also tend to lean more towards light to medium or medium/buildable coverage and natural to slightly dewy/luminous (though not disco ball or oil slick) finishes and I like products that feel light weightless on the skin.

This has a medium-full buildable coverage and is infused with coconut water, alpine rose, and hyaluronic acid and oil free. It also claims to “masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin” and that the coverage is “so undetectable” that skin looks naturally flawless.

Unfortunately for me that wasn’t the case, I tried using it multiple times and tried many different applications and used 1/2 to a full pump and for me it felt very heavy and mask like despite not using that much and I found that what little texture and fine lines I do have it actually accentuated rather than blurred and looked dry in aome spots.

I did not experience that flawless natural skin-like finish that the claims boast. I tried it with and without primer, different primers even the primer that is supposed to work with the foundation and no such luck.

I just couldn’t get it to work for me or work the way I like my foundation to work. I will say that one plus for me was that it is fragrance free which is nice because some products have just way too much fragrance so if you are sensitive to fragrance this will be good for you.

Also if you like full coverage, this will also be great for you because it is full coverage indeed, it can cover mistakes from last week 😄. I think had it not been so heavy feeling and I were just a few years younger without some of these beginning signs of aging I probably would have liked it a bit more.

That being said, though I couldn’t get it to work for me for it intended purpose of a foundation, I did find that it’s not too bad as a slight spot concealer. I actually ran out of my favorite concealer and this was the closest thing to me at the moment so I put a spot on a p alette plate and mixed in a couple drops of a priming oil and applied with a concealer blending brush and it seemed to work really well that way.

The priming oil helped kind of counteract the matte finish and also thinned it out so it wasn’t so heavy though I wouldn’t use it like that for all over unless I wanted a massive break-out. So overall though it didn’t work for me personally at least not for its intended purpose I still found some use for it.

If you’re into the full coverage thing then it may be good for you, otherwise if you prefer lighter coverage or have any signs of aging at all I would probably just pass on this one.

I received this item for free in return for my review. Born this Way by Too Faced is in my all time Top Five favorite foundations and is a foundation I feel everyone should own or keep on their kit for clients.

It is extremely versatile and leaves skin looking like skin while smoothing and blurring out any texture you may have while lasting all day if applied properly. It’s not matte and it’s not dewy, it is a true satin skin line finish but can be manipulated to be matte or Dewey.

It’s extremely versatile, it can be used with lotion for sheer coverage or you can increase the coverage by layering the product once it has dried down. It also can be made either matte or more luminous and dewy by simply using the proper primer and setting powder for a matte look or using a moisturizing primer (after using moisturizing skin care) with luminosity in it and staying away from powder and just using a dewy setting spray.

It’s fantastic for all skin types, if you struggle with combination skin and visible pores this foundation is for you. A pore filling primer placed strategically will make this foundation truly shine.

This is a more affordable dupe of the Giorgio Armani Powerfabric. It does oxidize a bit upon drying so I suggest shade matching using your neck and stepping into daylight after it’s dried to find your proper shade.

You do NOT need any setting powder with this foundation during colder dryer months and in humid and hot weather a finely milled setting powder like Hourglass carries will make this last all day. There is only one drawback to this foundation which is stunning on the face, and that is if you have sensitive acne prone skin you may break out from daily use.

I believe it’s the coconut water used in the foundation that breaks me out as Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people by clogging pores and making acne worse.

However if you need a stunning foundation for a night out and use an anti-acne primer it can provide some form of protection for your skin and it, in my opinion, is worth the risk.

I would not consider the foundation as medium full coverage I would consider it as a full coverage. my skin is very acne prone with lots of scarring and combination skin. this with one coat plus maybe a few touch ups provided enough coverage to go with it.

it felt very light it wasn’t setting heavy on my skin as a lot of the other full coverage foundations do that I have tried. the only complaint I have is possibly the staying power it kind of tended to wipe off around my mouth area but that was like 8 hours of wearing it so that’s not really a complaint I would say lol.

I was very hesitant about posting a picture without it on because I tend to be self-conscious about my face without having any makeup on. but for people like me that has trouble skin I wanted to show you guys how well this product worked for my skin.

a lot of the times we view foundations on advertisements that show the before and after pictures with someone with already beautiful flawless skin and it kind of deceives the idea of if not people with skin problems should purchase it or not because it doesn’t show us how well it would work for our kind of skin.

that’s one thing I can say that I cannot stand about makeup advertisements is they show the product before and after on someone with flawless skin so it really doesn’t give us a good idea of how well the product even works.

I spent hundreds of dollars on foundations due to the product being so deceiving on in the advertisement showing it on a flawless skin and then I’ll go out and purchase the product and then it’s terrible for my skin type so it’s funny wasted.

I can say though that even with this product being $40 a bottle I will go out and repurchase this again due to how well it works. as this product if I could find products like this more often that were at a medium price point that actually worked I wouldn’t mind spending the extra money on it that way I know for sure that the product is going to be a good one.

I have tons of bottles of foundations that I’ve bought based on advertisements that are just sitting in my makeup containers. this would be a great purchase. however my before and after pictures are me applying the foundation about 1:00 p.

m. and wearing it until I would say about 10:00 p. m. the picture with the foundation on is with a drugstore primer the foundation and then a drugstore setting powder that’s all and then later the night when I took the foundation off that’s when I took the after picture of my skin with nothing on it beside the moisturizer.

BE KIND TO THE NO MAKE-UP PIC PLZ. I HAVE LITERALLY TRIED PRESCRIPTION TREATMENTS RETINA A AND ALSO DOXYCYCLINE FOR MY ACNE IT WORKS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN IT SEEMS TO BECOME IMMUNE TO MY SKIN AND THEN IT DOESN’T WORK ANYMORE SO NOW I AM EXPLORING FURTHER OPTIONS.

I ordered the Absolue BX Liquide Makeup Foundation in Ecru 130 NC about a week ago. I am 70 years old, and this was the foundation recommended online by the beauty advisor. I have applied it with fingers, with a foundation brush, and with my Beauty Blender to try to get the lightest coverage, have tried it over moisturizer and over bare skin – and I still don’t like it.

Far from smoothing out fine lines and imperfections, it seems to highlight every flaw. It goes on very shiny no matter the method of application, although the Beauty Blender was the best for getting it as sheer as possible.

Maybe it’s just a shade or two too dark for my winter–pale skin (I am a fair-skinned, light to medium tone, but easily tanned brunette). To make matters worse, the online advisor also recommended the powder in “Peche” shade, which she said would “give a soft glow.

” In fact, it just added more shine! It is very shimmery. A loose translucent setting powder probably would have been a better choice. “Peche” is nice as a highlighting powder with just a little touch on checkbones, but all over the face, for me it’s a “no.

” The Absolue BX Foundation did stay on all day, and it feels nice on the skin. I have used Lancome products off and on for over 40 years, and this is the first time I have been so disappointed in anything.

Unfortunately due to the epidemic, the store will not take it back, so I guess I’m stuck. Will try the foundation again next summer once I’m more tan, but for now, it’s not the product for me.

I have been using this formula and shade for many years. Lightweight, good coverage, moisturizing but not oily, perfect shade. It has been out of stock for several months at Dillards, Macy’s and even lancome.

com. Now I’m finding out it is being discontinued. I have tried several other formulas by other cosmetic companies and nothing comes close. Lancome did this same thing many years ago with Aquacils mascara.

Never did find a good replacement for that. Please stop discontinuing products that everyone loves.

I love this makeup. I had worn it for years. But they no longer carry my old shade, 120 (N) which is slightly darker than 110 (N). As a fair, white woman, not having the option of ordering my old reliable shade, I tried 110 (N).

But it was way too light. I had to return it. Absolue is the best foundation for me because it is rich, moisturizing, and does not dry my already dry skin. I love that it is not waterproof; (I do not like that trend toward waterproof all-day makeup.

) I want to be able to easily remove my foundation with water and water-based cleanser. Lancome does not make any other foundation like this one. I do not want a matte foundation. I do not want something that stays on for 24 hours.

I like the moisturizing qualities of this foundation, but Lancome has greatly reduced the number of shades. This means that many people who love their old Lancome shade will be left out and will not be able to find a replacement shade.

Lancome, please consider re-adding your older shades including 120 (N). Thank you.

This new foundation is wonderful for me! 49 years old. My critical mother gave me a compliment, she did not know I had foundation on. She thought my skin was that good! For me, I have applied makeup on others and it would look beautiful but i failed applying it to myself.

After all these years I came to my own conclusion that I perhaps was expecting too much and should just accept that it is what it is. I needed to buy new foundation again. I nearly bought another high end brand but decided to try this first.

It took me sometime to make a color match. I tried your camera app to match and decided on the 2nd choice instead of the preferred choice. I bought the sponge as well. I was not expecting much and my major hangup was at least get the right shade the first time.

I did not know if my skincare would even work with this. I have no primers. After the application (I normally powder because in the past i felt it was the only way to help the foundation blur up my skin.

Not only did I not need that powder in attempt to make it look more presentable the foundation alone just made my face , my skin look as perfect as my critical eye could see. I tried all types of lighting from the harsh to the ring light and it shocked me! I had all but resigned to looking just “meh” and give in to it and now I feel great with only adding mascara! I am a simple farm, rual area, married to a wonderful man.

He sees me as beautiful with or without makeup but he definitely noticed how happy I was with this foundation. When I asked him his thoughts on my new foundation he replied that my skin looked so smooth and perfect all with a smile.

Thank you for creating a foundation that looks this beautiful and the ease of application. The less I tried to make it look perfect the better it looks. I use 1 pump, I dotted a smear on my forehead and used your sponge to blend it in, went to the nose where I am red and have pores then went to the cheeks and side of face.

This is quick, it looks seamless, it covered blotches and chicken pox scars. I did not used it directly under my eyes but did very lightly blend it with a tiny bit then used a teeny bit of shape tape concealer.

Just a tiny bit. I now feel confident and comfortable with foundation and this is the first time I can say that. I hope to enjoy this foundation for my remaining years because I will have mature skin and still feel like I look my best and then some.

It is the first time I can say and appreciate the term Holy Grail. P. s. I do not read reviews by “influencers”. Personally, they just all say the same thing about a free product. It is when you have to pay for something that I consider an expensive luxury and find it it works for you that an opinion is worth looking into.

Absolutely thrilled with this foundation I received as a complimentary sample! I was afraid I chose the wrong shade but when applying it, it completely matched my skin tone. In my opinion, the shade looked darker than when it was applied.

This gave me medium coverage with just 2 pumps. It blurred my pores and gave me great coverage on my imperfections. It never oxidized throughout the day and it didn’t smudge or become oily. It is more of a natural finish than other foundations.

I usually use Matte foundation but found some can look a bit cakey or accentuates my dry patches on my skin, but this didn’t do that at all! To top it off, I felt like my other make up applied much smoother on top of this, such as my bronzer and eyebrow powder.

It didn’t smudge off and actually looked better after a few hours of wear. It’s pretty lightweight even though the consistency of the foundation looked like it was on the thicker side. I’m really pleased it’s also buildable and doesn’t look like I have so much make up on.

As make up forever says, you can use different application methods for different coverage options (such as using your fingers if you want light coverage or a makeup sponge for more coverage). This actually did work work as I tried several ways of applying it, but preferred using my sponge since I enjoy more coverage.

At first, I was skeptical that it gave an HD skin finish (as if I had a filter) but I put this to the test and took a selfie, which i was shocked because it really did look like I had a filter on! The claims of it being waterproof and sweat proof are believable so far as I wore this on warmer days and didn’t experience any fading.

I recommend this fully!.

I purchased shade 1N10 which is the closest match to the old formula’s shade Y235 yet it is not really a true match. I also went up a shade to the next higher neutral and I’m somewhere in between the two really.

The texture of this new foundation is more moisturizing which comes at a price in that it may settle into lines if you over apply or don’t blot it down with a beauty blender when done. I felt the finish looked natural – not exactly like skin but very nice thought not much coverage.

This is more of a skin tone evening foundation If you want coverage I find you need to go over those areas which need more coverage a second time and add another layer patting/stippling the foundation on.

It seems so many foundations today want to get that natural skin look and are either changing up their formulas or coming out with skin tints. For me I like the old formula better – I was a better shade match, the formula didn’t settle into fine lines as this one can at times and the old version already was very skin like and natural looking.

That being said this is a really nice foundation but it could be a little less thick in my opinion and perhaps it is a tad too moist. I think the Born This Way Foundation is better than this version by MUF and although very expensive the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate is wonderful and the L’Oreal True Match Healthy Luminous Makeup is truly a drugstore standout for great shade matching and skin like finish.

Bobbi Brown’s skin foundation (name may be a little different) is also stellar. I will keep the two foundations I bought from this new version and might even repurchase down the road. Honestly though I preferred the older version and did buy a few on ebay to keep.

By the time I use all this up I’m sure MUF will have a new version out yet again or maybe bring back the old one?.

I’m always oily on the forehead and nose, but I love a sheer foundation which never seems to come in a matte finish. So I love this one because you can use a tiny amount and blend/buff it in REALLY well and it gives a light coverage, that can be built up and take the place of concealer (maybe not under the eyes).

This stuff is thick and full coverage for sure. Color ended up perfect for me (I’m a MAC C4, Nars St Moritz) – make sure to give it time to oxidize as this one darkens up quite a bit. It gives a really lovely perfected finish to the skin that doesn’t look heavy, but it also doesn’t hide texture.

Be sure to moisturizer before. I have only tried it with MAC Fix+ but longevity seems good. Going to try it with a primer next and also curious to mix it with my Supergoop Glowscreen and my sheer foundations (MAC Radiant F&B, NARs tinted moisturizer), seems like a good consistency for mixing! Highly recommend if your skin type is like mine.

I’m surprised there are so many low ratings for this honestly. However, I am noticing that most of them are saying its dry, and when I filter the reviews by just oily skinned people, that’s where all the good reviews are lol.

I’m VERY oily. Most foundations don’t stay well on my skin at all. I also have huge pores and a few fine lines, which my smashbox primer mostly takes care of, but some foundations still don’t sit well.

THIS FOUNDATION LOOKS PERFECT ON ME. It hides my pores, it doesn’t settle into fine lines, it doesn’t get patchy throughout the day, it doesn’t transfer, it feels comfortable, and it’s FULL COVERAGE.

Also smells pretty nice. If you have insanely oily skin, large pores, texture, or any mix of these skin problems, give this foundation a try.

The best foundation I have ever tried and I have tried at least 50+ over the years. This is by far the best. This is my first review ever, that’s how good this product is! I have been using it for several years now and get compliments on my skin all the time (and I have terrible skin!).

It gives me an almost flawless look, covering acne scars, age marks, etc. and gives my skin a beautiful even tone. Application is super easy, you can even use your fingers and still get an even finish.

There are so many shades to choose from. If you have oily, combination or normal skin, this is as good as it gets. Give it a try!.

I have combo skin, as the day goes on oily in the T zone and the rest of my face is normal to dry. I hated this foundation because it was drying and heavy makeup-y looking on the skin until I found a different way to use it (mix it).

First of, I’ve been on a foundation hunt ever since EL double wear light hydra foundation was discontinued (it was my ride or die) and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find something that made me feel good in my skin and the task had been hard, and finally I looked over at the original EL double wear collecting dust and how everyone loves it I was like what do I have to lose, I gave it another chance in a different way.

Most important thing to do first is to prep and hydrate the skin. I use the Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer and Mario Badescu Facial Spray my fav is the Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea.

Let that sink in a little into the skin. And here the my magic key mixture that gave me beautiful with the EL double wear. MIX the foundation with a drop of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex Serum (I use a makeup palette and spatula , on pump of foundation and a drop of serum and mix very well! Add less serum to see how you like it because you can always add more , Vs take away ).

With the mix, The foundation becomes hydrated and so smooth to apply and looks just like skin ! Also, I love the EL shade range they blend beautifully with the skin so foundation looks seamless. This was a game changer.

My skin isn’t drying in this anymore and it has a healthy natural finish. The longevity is completely kept intact with the serum just like EL double wear is famous for and it’s just perfect combination.

Please try this if Double Wear has not worked before for you. Shade: 1N1 but I will be ordering 1N2 as this one is just a hint too light. The serum I had as a sample. This is why it’s so small. I will be ordering a bottle of it.

This is my BY FAR FAVORITE foundation. I’ve come back to review this for the 2nd time now, last time was in November after using for a month to see how I liked it and wanted to see if it would break me out before reviewing, etc.

but I’ve just been unable to find another foundation like this one! To start off, I have really dry, eczema skin. but if you use a moisturizer and some setting spray on your face before putting this on, you will be fine if your skin is like mine.

So, I had run out of this foundation at the beginning of the year, I should’ve ordered when I was getting low but I was unaware that they don’t carry this one in the ulta stores, so I finished off the remainder of this too faced foundation I had (not the same but works good) and that started getting low so I went into my local ulta to see if I could maybe find something similar to it.

Nothing similar but a worker recommended a Smashbox matte foundation for me since I have dry skin. and I returned in within 2 days because I just couldn’t. it enlarged my pores and had barely any coverage at all.

So I was out of town and went and visited another ulta, hoping I could return that one and find this foundation, they didn’t have it either! So I settled with too face again but got a shade too dark.

So now I have to return yet again (ulta is about to be sick of me lol) but I’m almost thinking about returning this, and going foundationless for a while until I can order this and have it come in the mail.

Too faced is great, don’t get me wrong it’s definitely my 2nd choice, but nothing seems to compare to this foundation and will always be my favorite. It can withstand heat, humidity and sweat, all while making your face look flawless (not exaggerating).

My forever favorite. I would never come back and review something for a 2nd time. but now that I’m without it and have had to the other foundations again, I am seeing that I need to not go without this foundation again!.

There are several reasons why I DON’T recommend this product. For context, I’m 30 with a fair/neutral undertone complexion, dry-to-normal skin, and my goals are to cover redness and a few hormonal acne spots.

I tried this product in the muggy Kentucky summertime, with the idea that it’d be a great summer concealer versus my more “dewy” winter concealers. When I tried it, I did not powder (since its suppose to set itself).

The reasons why I DON’T recommend this product is: 1. This is extremely drying. Even in a humid place where I usually use powder, this wrecked my skin’s moisture balance. The “self-setting technology” may work for very oily skin types, but otherwise it creates tight, dry patches and creases, sitting on top of the skin and emphasizing texture and fine lines.

Immediately when you put it on, its very thick, almost gloppy. Its definitely a “full-coverage” concealer (whereas, I like a more natural coverage like Nars Radiant Concealer) but after a few seconds it feels like its contracting and my whole face felt tight.

After 30 minutes, the product was separating and emphasizing the areas I was trying to cover in the first place. ITS MATTE not a natural finish, FYI! ALSO, I got (2) different colors (one to match my skin and one to “highlight”) and both were much lighter than shown online.

I got 11/Pearl to highlight and 22/Sand beige to conceal, and both were much lighter then shown online. If your interested in this product, consider the drying effects AND definitely try it on in the store.

This is a really pricy concealer (in my opinion, especially since I bought 2 of them) and I think you can find much better formulas that feel and look like skin for the same, or less, pricepoints. I love the Tarte Shape tape for bad skin days; Nars Radiant concealer and Trinny London Barely There concealer for good skin days; and Glossier stretch concealer for under my eyes.

I just don’t think this product is better than ANY of those products in its feel or finish.

I find it challenging to find concealers that work well for my under eyes. I’ve got natural creasing in just the shape of my eyes, plus aging concerns with fine lines beginning… and dark circles with puffiness, plus very dry skin.

So I need high coverage, non-drying, and crease resistant, but I also want it to look as natural as possible because I tend to use light coverage foundation and skin tints. This one checks almost all the boxes for me.

It seriously resists creasing and gives me nice coverage but still looks fairly natural. My only issue is that it’s a bit more drying than I prefer. It’s still a really nice product and I’ll keep using.

I think the trick with this concealer is to make sure you’ve moisturized well and/or having a primer that products lay smoothly over. It’s only when my skin is really dry that it can end up a little cakey if I haven’t used enough moisturizer.

Otherwise I looooove this concealer, it is pretty light for my skin tone but I can get it to blend into that perfect way that actually covers when I have puffy/bags under my eyes. Also provides great coverage for any redness:) I included a very recent clip of a video because it’s literally from last night and I have on this concealer with their matte powder lol-If this doesn’t speak volumes, I don’t know what would🤣🤣🤣….

Apparently this works good enough to be accused of using filters! (A guy got rejected and then started insulting me and that was one his insults so I sent him a live video-end is cut off because of my language😬🤦‍♀️).

Where have you been all my life? I’ve tried SO many foundations over the years. I was using Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue for a while but never really loved it, I felt like it provide enough cover and tended to cake up a lot around my nose.

Then I found this. SO glad I took a chance on it. I cannot believe how awesome this is. It really is a true moisturizer, it sinks in, feels totally weightless (I sometimes forget I’m wearing it and rub my face).

It does transfer a little – but not anymore than other foundations I’ve used. My skin feels really soft and hydrated all day. It covers SO well I don’t even really need concealer (which I had to use a lot with Complexion Rescue).

Please please please don’t discontinue this! It’s so darn good, I can’t believe it took me 10 years to finally find something I feel good putting on my face every day.

I kind of changed upon this just by scrolling. I was going to buy the new Charlotte Tilbury and I saw this and I read the one review. The colour chart was pretty scary and so I tried to go on their website and find a colour chart.

I’m lucky as I’m half Italian and speak French so could use the Italian or French site but beware there doesn’t seem to be an English website. My complaint is it’s very very hard to find your shade match.

I did pick my exact right match but this was possibly down to fortune rather than perfect judgement. However knowing that it is the exact shade of my skin I have to say it is the best foundation I have ever used and I have used a lot A LOT of the most premium and expensive foundations out there.

I’m fortunate to have very youthful skin but I am over 40 so wanted a foundation that provided all the characteristics that this did, but was not at all heavy or Cakey. Literally I wanted my skin but better.

At 45 I was absolutely thrilled when out with my 32 year old fiancée and someone believed I was younger than him. Made my day! I use with the ultra HD self setting concealer for under the eyes and apply with a brush.

Once is plenty but it’s very buildable if you like more of a finish. I think it would suit any age skin but if you have scars or blemishes you would need to use concealer as well, as the finish is not full coverage.

Can honestly say this is by far the most superior foundation ever and my skin is grateful I bought it.

Everything this foundation claims to do, it 100% does. And it does it so well. My skin is dry and flakey, so my foundation usually gets really streaky only an hour after application no matter how well I set it.

The flakey and uneven parts of my skin always end up being emphasized and I look worse with foundation on than without. It’s extremely frustrating and I came to accept that this would just be a lifelong issue for me.

I’ve spent so much money on luxury brand foundations in hopes of a miracle… Dior, Armani Beauty, YSL, etc. Let me tell you, this one is the only one that has blown me away! My skin is glowing and dewy after application.

It feels moisturized from the second I apply until I take it off, and the product itself applies like a DREAM. I apply with a damp beauty blender and it’s wonderful. Little to no streaks or emphasized flakey skin with this.

The foundation is lightly scented but I love it. It has good longevity but fair warning: it does transfer rather easily so I recommend setting thoroughly if that will be an issue for you.

I literally pray MUFE never discontinues this formulation. I have never been so 100% satisfied with a foundation!! If you are over the age of 29 and have ANY complexion insecurities (uneven tone, fine lines, sun spots) this foundation will take them all away.

The most wonderful thing about this foundation is the smooth, flawless, consistent finish. Whether I have 5 minutes or 30 to get ready; my face just looks 100% radiant! Without a primer or even concealer I feel confident that my face looks rejuvenated, plumper and wonderfully hydrated… (does NOT leave skin oily/greasy or with any unsightly “highlighted” shimmer to compete with my other products) Offers a medium to full coverage; but feels sooooooo light and soft.

Absolutely no caking, never falls into creases (in fact – has a filling effect). Imagine the most beautiful foundation both in look and feel, that is exactly what Reboot delivers. Worth every penny!! It’s a 6 star holy grail! I have never used a foundation that exceeded expectations like this….

and I would never consider another foundation again…ever!.

I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now. it’s an okay/good concealer. First of all the shades are whack. The jump between the 4N and 8Y is crazy. I originally bought 4N and had to switch to 8Y and even though 8Y says it’s for fair it really isn’t.

It matches me perfectly and I am light at the moment due to summer (usually fair). Plus I’d say it’s not a true yellow undertone. As for application: I have dry skin and even with a moisturizer it is a little finnicky.

It applies creamy but dries/sets quickly. I recommend applying some and blending it out right away. It also doesn’t layer well; even though it is full coverage, due to my very dark circles, it is more medium coverage for me.

I always like to layer my concealer for this reason but I can’t with this one as it leaves a patch (as in the layer doesn’t blend with what’s already there. ) I’ve been using it with a beauty blender but it might actually be better with a brush (tried it once, seemed okay!).

I receive this product as a gift but all opinions are based on my own usage of this product which I loved. I have pretty dry undereyes so its important I find a concealer that is not only hydrating but doesn’t set immediately.

I do wish I would have chosen different shades! Maybe some that weren’t so yellow but I did chose another shade that had a neutral undertone and that was able to balance everything out! I LOVE LOVE when I set the concealer and it didn’t look all cakey.

Thats another issue I have when trying to find a good concealer is hoping it works with my translucent powder. Also the affordability of the concealer is a plus! I hate spending money lol so it made me happy that it was $15.

The Best Skin Ever collection just got better!!! BSE foundation is an absolute fave so I’ve having been chomping at the bit to try the new concealer. First things first, I love the large applicator! I didn’t pick the best color but it’s still workable, especially with the formula of this concealer.

It’s creamy, blends effortlessly, and has a soft matte finish that give a slightly blurred effect. It wears all day without creasing and doesn’t try me out. I’ve tried a lot of new concealers this year, but this is a standout!.

I am usually good at choosing the right colour for my skin. I’ve recently had to purchase some new foundations to find one I like as the UK have stopped selling Bourjois. I purchased the concealer in the third lightest shade and it’s perfect for me so I thought I would try the foundation.

I bought the 3rd lightest shade and it’s pure orange. It’s a closer match to the peach colour correcting concealer than it is the actual skin tone concealer. Also, when I opened it and took the metal seal off it was soo runny and squirted all over my white bedding (yes I shouldn’t have been opening it near my bed but at the same time I’d prefer it on that than my carpet and you also don’t expect it to squirt out anyway).

I tested it for texture (as it was all over my hands anyway) and it seemed pretty nice but there are actually cheaper foundations out there that are not cakey and feel much nicer (the ordinary, Nyx, revolution).

I would steer clear of this if you are any kind of pale.

Got a couple tubes of these during a sale at Walgreens where each foundation was $4. I had always been curious about Sleek products and decided to try it due to the claims. The color samples aren’t really accurate so I recommend watching youtube videos of people applying the foundation.

I’m fair, but not pale and based on just looking at Sleek’s color swatch, I would have thought I was the lightest shade, but was really shade 5. I found it dries quickly so you will have to blend quickly which may be a bad thing to some people.

It has a smooth finish and to me seemed more like a light to medium coverage foundation opposed to full coverage. It evens out your skin to a degree, but you will still want to use concealer. It sort of has an interesting texture and seems like a tinted moisturizer but thinner formula.

I haven’t worn this when sweating so I don’t really know if this is sweatproof. What I can say though is that I have combination skin and always use a primer and setting powder and that often times after a few hours of wearing makeup, you see all the oils and my foundation separating a little (combine with most foundations for me).

I didn’t get this with this which was awesome. All in all, it’s pretty good for a foundation that you can get for less than $5 but if you do want more coverage, you will want a good concealer to apply over this.

I’ve only recently tried a few drugstore foundations (limited for me due to only buying cruelty free cosmetics). NYX sucks, Wet N Wild’s gives a good medium texture and applies like a dream however it seems more suited for dry skin than oily skin, and Sleek’s which seems more suited for oily skin.

Since I reached my late fourty’s my skin has changed, it has become drier with pores that are more noticeable. I have tried every foundation in the low to mid range with little success, until I found sleek foundation lifeproof foundation.

The formula is quite fluid and you can build up the coverage easily. I choose one layer with a good foundation brush. I am a medium tone skin with fair hair and the LP07 is perfect with a sparse dusting of No7 light bronzer for the summer.

I must admit that I have not tried the very high end foundation as I am not willing to pay the price tag. I have finally at nearly 52 found the foundation that suits my skin and doesn’t look dry and patchy and at a very good price.

If you have had a problem finding a good foundation and do not want the price tag of high end foundation. Give Sleek Life proof Foundation try. At this price you have nothing to lose.

I usually use a high end brand in shade 01 costing me around £33. 50. I was given a couple of shades of Sleek to test by my mum. It’s the only cheaper brand my skin has ever liked, 80% comparable to the high end brand.

I’m usually very naturally pale, however the lightest shade 1 made me look like a ghost! So shade 2 is best for me. I have been wearing it every day for months. It comes out the tube in a nice consistency (Warning: squeeze gently!) not too thick, and certainly not too thin.

It blends in well with hands or brush, but I’ve found a sponge to be best. It goes on the skin with a moist texture, blending well, finishing with a ‘just right’ ‘healthy not caked’ consistency. It can be built up.

The amount I use, gives me a nice light blank canvas, covers any little marks, and is enough brighten my dark eye circles, without looking obvious. I have been told I don’t look like I’m wearing foundation (in a good way!).

It doesn’t sit in my fine lines on my forehead. As with all foundations, the colour oxidises to a slightly warmer shade after a short time. Still fine for my pale skin. It looks it’s best for around 8-10 hours.

After a day in the office with a lot of air-con, it fairs well with slight potential for dry and oily patches, due to my particular skin type, but still nothing to worry about. 12+ hours and it does start to dry slightly on my prone dry areas.

If you touch your face too much, and have a more oily skin type, it could very slight rub off. If you get streaks – you simply have the wrong shade for your skin. With all foundations, they aren’t going to suit everyone.

don’t blame the product. I have combination skin and it’s worked out a great cheap alternative for me.
