20 Best Lunch Box For Truck Drivers (2023 Updated)

I bought this because it was adorable!! However, it was sooo tiny this could NOT be used as a lunch box. not even for a normal child’s sized lunch. I returned it thru the post office, with the provided return slip but apparently it got lost.

I have never received a credit. Now I am without the item OR the credit/money. Not happy.

This little lunch box is so cute. It’s so detailed even to the little peace sign in the back. Definitely a conversation piece, makes you want to bring your lunch to work.

The door to open the lunch box is a little hard to close. It is slightly off center. This would not be a good lunch box for kids because they would have a hard time closing it or break the door off. I do like it, it is very cute.

Absolutely fantastic product. Im a local p/d truck driver in southern cal, and unable to have access to many of our customers microwaves. And was mostly on a cold cut diet. But BAM, since Ive ordered this product, I now enjoy HOT spaghetti, Chicken, pastrami, oh and soups.

You name it, I heat it and eat it. Yes Im a satisfied customer.

Its a great lunch box, works perfect.! Wish there was a battery operated version of it also.

Had taco meat in there for an hour and it only heated to lukewarm. I put cheese on top and it didn’t melt it at all. It doesn’t work for me. Not as advertised. Good concept, but doesn’t get the food hot.

I really like my lunchbox so far. I read reviews saying that it is “too small”, but I think it’s the perfect size. I can fit my sandwich, a big apple, chobani yogurt cup, some snacks, and a microwaveable ramen in the main compartment alone.

I keep napkins and silverware in the front pocket and drinks/icepacks in the top compartment. The construction is nice. It’s a “soft shell” but it holds it’s shape well. My only complaint is that the carry strap is not adjustable or removable.

Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.

It’s a ideal little lunch pail for my use. However, we have had it out in our back yard airing it out for three weeks now and the manufacturing oder is still there, just now starting to lessen. It’s the outside of the item that is retaining the odor.

Could this be that there is a water repellent chemical added to the outside? Thank you for your inquiry.

Traditional Carhartt look and quality we’ve all become familiar with, know and love. Bought for my son (mechanic). Perfect size for him and nice to have the separate compartment in the lid (side zipper).

If the long strap was removable, it would have earned 5⭐️s, but otherwise it’s worth the $.

I got this bag because I needed a low profile lunch bag to fit in my backpack. This bag fit the bill and has enough room for a large tupperware container and a few small snacks. However, the zipper quality is less than desirable and often catches.

The fabric around the zipper has also started fraying. Otherwise, good lunch bag.

The lunchbox is better than I expected! The size is perfect for an individual and the material is wonderful. Overall, the quality and build is great. Highly recommend.

good heavy duty zipper. It has course teeth making it rugged and easy to open and close. Pockets and 2 fishnet pouches are also pretty rugged. Cold items stay cold for quite awhile even in the cab of a truck with the heat going.

One main con; The bottom is soft inside. No stiff liner for support of drink bottles. I doubled up a piece of cardboard and zipped it in a bag for waterproofing to line the bottom. Works pretty good.

It should have had a 1/8″ thick hard plastic plate. All in all. A very good quality lunchbox. Very roomy. Only one set of the pictures show that it also has a center carry handle on the lid as well as the adjustable shoulder strap.

This too is rugged.

So far so good after 2 days, it was purchased for a diabetic family member to more easily care around their care items and other meds. The outside pockets were the perfect addition. The zipper was a bit difficult but a bit of candle wax worked perfect.

got this for my son(hes 11) to take his school lunch. POSITIVES: -It holds a lot and has several compartments! -Very sturdy fabrics -keeps his food from getting warm. i dont put an ice pack in. he likes strawberries and the arent room temp by the time he eats them (4hrs) NEGATIVES: -The zipper gets stuck every time we open it on the lining.

if you pull the zipper back, it is ok. just annoying -I wish the older the shoulder strap was removable -i had to cut a piece of cardboard to fit in the bottom to keep it flat OVERALL: i would buy it again! for the price, its a great value.

Perfect size for my needs as an everyday lunchbox. Love the upper storage. Great place to keep keys, safety glasses, pill bottles, and other work necessities. Side pockets are an added plus. Having silverware and salt/pepper shakers right there for whenever I need them is an added bonus.

With a small icepack, keeps my lunch cooled til I need it. 2 kinds of carry handles for the hands free carry option. Can’t say enough great things about this lunch tote. After a year of heavy use, just replaced with a new one, but yet the old one is still going strong.

Great cooler for work. I use the top portion for snacks and bottom for cold items. I love that it has travel salt and pepper shakers. Perfect for the days I bring hard boiled eggs. It is a little smaller which kept me from 5 stars instead the 4 that I rated it.

Also wish the side pockets were elastic tension as they are smaller in size also. Overall a great well built work cooler. Just dont expect a ton of storage. Can fit enough waters and cans though laying flat for a days work.

The Lunchbox is now since approx. 1 month with us in use. It is absolutely leak-proof and does not allow liquids to escape, so my husband can transport his lunch to work without hesitation in his pocket.

The food remains fresh in the box and above all does not take on the taste of the packaging as with some plastic bread boxes. We would also prefer this stainless steel lunch box to a glass box, as it is much lighter than a glass box of the same size.

Absolute buy recommendation.

Time will tell whether the lunchbox is really leak proof but so far so good. I have baked (without the lid on of course), stored food in the fridge in the box and taken it out and about and really like the design where there is divider.

This does not prevent liquid from moving between the two sections but does keep eg salad separate from other food. I really like its versatility.

I bought this with the intention for my son to bring to school. It looks cool and it comes with a utensil. However it was extremely difficult for me to open so I knew that I would have to return. It looks nice but will not work for my son.

Purchased with matching bookbag to stay organized. This lunch box fits regular size bento boxes and a small water bottle if needed. Looking forward to seeing how this holds up during the school year.

Very expensive for a lunch box. I’ve been looking for an attractive soft-sided lunch box that I can use as a make-up kit for traveling. I wanted a handle and also an interior that is easy to wipe off in case of make-up spills.

This is the best one I’ve found and I look forward to using it. It’s overpriced and should be $15-20 at the most, but like I said, I’ve been looking in stores and online for months now. (Also, I’m not a child and wanted something that looked attractive and stylish which this one is.

The box is bright and beautifully embroidered. The inside wipes easily and when it looks grubby on the outside or there is a big spill inside, I just toss it in the clothes washer, which I do every other month or so.

It always comes out looking fresh. She didn’t even want to buy a new lunch box for school this year. The zippers have held up. It is nice that the sides are stiffer than similarly priced lunch boxes.

Needed an insulated soft lunch box for motorcycle rides. Saw this one and liked it. Nice and small but the trade off is thinner insulation so in hot weather even with two small blue ice packs things dont stay cold all day.

But for 4 to 6 hours its fine. Overall for what I use it for Id recommend it.

With my kiddos getting older and moving from elementary to upper grade levels, I needed a lunchbox that would pack as much as I could and still fit inside a backpack. This is fantastic. It also holds an arctic zone freezer pack in the main compartment, where I pack a Sistema Lunch cube and a couple of small snacks whether it’s cookie pack, gogurt, pouch applesauce or anything else that fits on the side without smashing it.

The bottom compartment holds 3 small bags of chips/snacks, granola bar, trail mix, cookies or whatever you want to place in here. I have had 1 for 2 years, wash it twice a year and it has held up; still going strong.

Interior gets wiped down every week (or if there is spillage). This is our second one for kid #2 and I plan on getting a third. There is a small flat zipper pocket on the face of the bag. I either put individual hand wipes here or paper and a pencil, but that’s about it as it is a little small.

I highly recommend this lunch bag.

I got this because my old lunch bag was falling apart. The two separate compartments on the High Sierra bag is awesome. You can keep things you want cold in one and not n the other. The bag is well made and the handle is great.

There is a zipper pouch for utensils and thing. If there was one down side is that there isn’t a mesh pocket on the front or side for even more storage, but this bag is well big enough for lunch or even a picnic for two and maybe even a couple kids.

This lunchbox has worked very well for us over the past couple years. I prep a weeks worth of lunches every Sunday in reusable divided containers (like ziploc and rubbermaid make) so that my kids can reach into the fridge, grab a lunch, and throw it in their lunchbox.

You’d be surprised how hard it is to find a lunchbox that will fit those containers just right and still zip easily closed. They’re durable, too! After two years, this lunch box is still perfect (except for the expected lunch stains).

I will buy more when it eventually wears down, but I don’t think that will be for awhile. *The only improvement I would make is to add a mesh pocket on the side for a place to stow a drink. I have another lunch box with this feature and I love it.

It fits a water bottle/thermos and zips into a little pocket when it’s not in use.

I bought this for my daughter for school last year. We take good care of our things and she is one of the cleanest kids I’ve ever seen. I was very disappointed in the exterior of the lunchbox. I wiped it clean every day after school with water and a paper towel and followed the instructions to wash it more deeply as needed, but it came home each day looking worse and worse.

The material also scratched very easily. In preparation for next year, I did a comparison of the insulation capabilities to another, much less expensive, lunchbox and at the end of a 5 hour test, the results on the thermometer for each lunchbox were the exact same.

For the test, I used the same thermometer, same ice pack, and same contents. The only change was the lunchbox itself. This lunchbox is also much heavier than our comparison lunch box. I would not recommend paying the extra money for this particular lunchbox, because I can’t see where the value is.

I am a huge fan of other hydroflask products, and I’m so thankful for the company, but this product does need some refinement.

I bought this to keep cold lunches (sandwiches, sliced apples, cold chicken tenders) cold while working outside as a summer gardener. The food stayed cold for an hour or two then quickly became warm.

When working outside one would expect several hours of cold preservation. Not with this product. In fact, after the cold contents were no longer cold, the lunch box actually began to absorb heat, making any leftovers warm after 3 hours of being outside.

I am really disappointed considering the cost and anticipation of the product. Better insulation or the ability to freeze the box would make this product better. I’ve now got an expensive and useless lunch box that sits in the closet – barely after 3 uses.

I really wanted to love these lunchboxes. I bought them for my kids after a long search for a great, classic-looking, monotone lunchbox. I was super excited to get them from Hydro Flask, a company I know makes great products.

The lunchboxes are good, but NONE of the plastic lunch box inserts from any of the major companies fit inside (rubbermaid, Bentgo, etc). Very frustrating since I feel like a lot of people like to use those, especially for kids.

If this were just a CM bigger in either direction it would be perfect. It’s also a little more shallow than I expected inside, but that was not a deal breaker. They also seem like they would get dirty very easily and would be difficult to wash.

Really good basic lunch box. Bought this one too replace my last Eddie Bauer lunch box cooler which I lost. Perfectly fits a sandwich, apple, and a can of your favorite drink. My only wish is that it came with some thin flat cooler pack that fit in the bottom or somewhere as there isn’t any premade space for a frozen cooler pack or such.

This bag is a great gift for anyone. It’s a perfect lunch bag for the kids or work or honestly just for the car when out and about. Good for diabetic folks to keep their insulin in. I also use mine when traveling for shampoo conditioner-any bottles that I fear will leak or for makeup since you can easily clean the inside.

I like the cooler a lot and I use it every day in the summer to pack a bottle of ice water and cold water to keep me stocked throughout the day while I spend a lot of time in my car. I rated the bag 4 stars because sometimes it’s not easy to zip up.

Actually it’s never easy to get the zipper started. I kind of knew it would be like this when I purchased it, it’s not the best design. I’m not sure how to tell someone to make it differently, but it should be an easier zip.

This cooler bag served it’s purpose all summer and I am happy with its performance, aside from getting the zipper started for closing the cooler.

What a great looking kit. I’m not planning to use it as a traditional lunchbox but am so pleased with the construction and finish. It’s a very solid product. I almost wish I worked in building skyscrapers so that I can dangle my feet off the side of a steel girder high up in the air with my trusty Stanley lunchbox by my side lol.

It’s great. Mine will be going in car camping trips.

This Stanley retro lunchbox is absolutely a gem of a deal. When I first saw that Magnolia was offering this product, I knew I had to have one. My dad used to carry one of these to work. It brings back sweet memories of my dad making his lunch for another day at work.

I have mine on top of my refrigerator with my old Stanley thermos. It adds to my Farmhouse decor. It is durable and very well made. If you’re wanting that perfect gift or that special “good feels” decor, then this is your go to piece.

I have to admit, yes, I do like my food, but I feel the smaller sizes would just not be big enough. The large is just perfect for my day at work and the design is simple but classy and I love that the stainless steel is so easy to clean.

And. the book! oh the lunch ideas book! Blooming brilliant! Yummy food made with everyday ingredients and I will be using lots of them for lunches this year.

My Dad works for the Railroad so he has to pack large lunches/dinners for his trips. Over the last 20yrs he has bought numerous lunch boxes & coolers including the personal size Yeti which lasted maybe one trip because it was so dang heavy! He ended up giving that expensive cooler away to his engineer as a gift! But, I digress.

Well folks, I FOUND IT! Not only is this lunchbox, bag, cooler the perfect size and fit – it looks like it was designed for a railroader to carry! So, for his recent 53rd birthday my sister and I split the cost of the bag because it is a bit pricey (but totally worth it!) He was again, thrilled when he opened the huge DTC box and found the bag.

He could not wait to get home so that he could add all of his bells and whistles to it. Now my only issue is that he will not get off of DTC’s website and informing me of what all he ‘has to have. ‘ Thank You DTC for developing the perfect lunchbag so that I am finally at peace and no longer have to witness the Christopher’ing of lunchbags.

I love this lunch bag, this is my second one. Room for everything and anything I need for 12 hour shifts. DTC always has what im. looking for, durable practical products with the extra design details that make life easier.

But, the zippers do not hold up as well as the rest of the bag. Truthful this is my third, the first one split the zipper almost immediately I traded it in no hassle for another. The second one lasted quite awhile, eventually though the zippers gave way,even with me being careful with them.

I do hope the keep this available as I will keep getting them until I retire.

The main zipper needs to be improved. It does an securely close and can easily slip slightly open and that’s not acceptable. The size and shell is great for durability and packing. At 1st the 4 pockets at the top seem great but they are too small to really enjoy using them.

They could have incorporated them with the small zip pocket at the top. Catching it on sale helps. The handle is great. If the main zipper holds up, then I shouldn’t have to get another lunch bag for the rest of my career.

This is the best lunch box. My husband and I take our lunches to work and our oldest daughter is now working in a location where it is difficult to get lunch. Also she is pre-diabetic and taking her own lunch is over all the best thing for her.

She loves the color and she’s been glady filling it to show it off. I got it for her using my bean bucks. My experience with LLBean is really positive It was my first credit card. and well I actually remember as a young adult when I was approved, my eyes teared up.

yeah I said excuse me, this is a big deal for me. I’m there number one fan! I bought clothes, shoes, boots, coats, backpacks, bedding, rugs, furniture. The quality is there and it falls short as things aren’t always perfect… they have been gracious and supportive and helping correct the situation.

I purchased 2 of these lunch boxes for my kids 6 years ago and they’re still holding up to the daily slog to and from school and other outings. As a family, we’ve taken these on almost all of our long road trips, camping, and numerous plane rides.

They’ve been cleaned in the washing machine and allowed to air dry (yes, they lost a little shape but seemed to bounce back quite quickly) and the liner has been cleaned with regular soap and water or Clorox wipes.

My daughter just called me today frantic and upset because she left hers on the metro train during her commute into the city this morning. Who knew at 17. 5 she’d have such a deep attachment to her ol’ middle school lunch box.

Even she was surprised! Needless to say, I’m back to order another one today. Luckily, they still have the same pattern. She even wants her initials embroidered again. Nostalgia and the love for this lunch box runs deep.

My daughter had this lunch box for about 6 months and the handle broke. I returned and purchased another one and after a month the handle broke in the same spot on the new one! At first I thought it was something she did but then I read all of the reviews from people that had the same issue.

We have other LL Bean lunch boxes that are the same style that we’ve had for years with no issues- it looks like the quality is going down unfortunately. I’ll be returning the second broken lunchbox and will be purchasing a new one from a different retailer.

I find the design beautiful and practical. A little too small for my taste for a salad. But the ice pack is inside, it is practical in any case, depending on what you want to transport.
