Review Quotes A unique, wholly realized other world, evoked from deep in the well of Time, massively detailed, absorbingly entertaining, profound in meaning.
My LotR lover of a boyfriend purchased these for a cohesive set (as well as the ‘The Great Tales of Middle-Earth’). The text is set up beautifully as well as the set itself looks amazing displayed in our living room.
Ordered them for my wife. They are brand new. Very nice books. They don’t have the illustrations. But you get what you pay for!! For the cost. You can’t beat these. The size and the print and paper quality is amazing.
These hardback copies are nicely bound. The larger size makes them easier to hold and read than the paperback set we have from 1973. Each volume has a folded map in the back of the book. I love the design on the dust jackets and the box that holds the books.
There are numerous notes in the books adding to their value as reference material. I highly recommend this set.
An ancient evil stirs in the black lands of Mordor, and the people of Middle-earth speak of a terrible doom approaching from the east. The Dark Lord Sauron is gathering his forces, and should he acquire the power he seeks, he will cast the world into eternal shadow.
The only hope lies in a heroic few who must work together to stem the tide of evil. An ancient evil stirs in the black lands of Mordor, and the people of Middle-earth speak of a terrible doom approaching from the east.

The main mechanics are very similar to those of Magic: The Gathering, from the pre-game process of building your own decks to the gameplay of combat and using card abilities. However, this is a multiplayer co-op game that is also different from MTG in combat and other mechanics.
(And, of course, it’s Lord of the Rings!) You win by committing cards to make progress on the main Quest at the start of each round, but you also need to plan and leave cards uncommitted so you can survive combat once the enemies attack you later in each round.
It’s a great mix of strategy and chance risk-taking. I recommend looking online for videos that teach the game to get a feel for it. It can take a while to explain to new players, but once you get the hang of it goes pretty smoothly.
It feels similar to D&D in how gameplay scales with the number of players. That is, with more players you have more flexibility to choose who takes damage, plus each player can specialize in particular abilities that contribute to the whole group.
You can have your tank, your healer, your resource collector, and so on. This tends to make it easier to win with more players, even though the scale of challenge also increases with the number of players.
The art is fantastic, and does a good imitation of John Howe, though it is not. Similar to MTG, you might want to think twice if you don’t like the more involved or complex games, but otherwise, you should definitely give it a try!.
For their living card games, FFG has followed the practice of making a core set that serves as an introduction to the game–these core sets have enough to get you started, but not enough to play the game in full.
This would allow them to sell the core set for much less than they could otherwise, making the expense of trying the game much less prohibitive. For players who liked this introduction and wanted to play the game properly, a second core set was often considered important.
This revised core set removes that need entirely. If you are buying the game for the first time, this is the only core set you will need. Should you buy this if you have the original core set? My answer would be that, if you were planning on buying a second, you should.
If you already have two (or three), there isn’t much point to purchasing this. On top of being a new printing that updates the cards with the latest errata, the game includes 3 copies of all player cards (except heroes), whereas the original core set came with only one or two copies of some player cards.
This revised edition contains 4 threat dials (instead of 2) of a smaller, more convenient size, and a lot more tokens. In addition to having additional much-needed tokens, some of the additional resource, progress, and damage tokes are larger and marked with 3s and 5s, which is a tremendous convenience.
The final difference is the addition of rules for playing the three included scenarios as a short campaign. This is a great introduction to the campaign rules seen in the LotR Saga expansions.
I foolishly got rid of this game years ago during it’s initial run and regretted it almost instantly. I love co-op games, love games with a solo play mode, and love Lord of the Rings. The themeing of the game, the elegance of the rules, and just how much they managed to capture Tolkien’s world in the art, the game play, the components, and the rules is absolutely beyond compare.
The single best LCG/CCG out there today, bar none.
Deluxe boxed gift set of pocket edition hardbacks featuring J. R. R. Tolkien’s most popular works, which together tell the tale of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins and of the War of the Ring. When they were first published, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings became instant classics.
Treasured by readers young and old, these works of sweeping fantasy, steeped in unrivalled magic and otherworldliness have sold more than 150 million copies around the world. This new boxed set, published to mark the 80th anniversary of the publication of The Hobbit, offers readers a new opportunity to discover Tolkien’s remarkable world of Middle-earth and to follow the complete story of Bilbo Baggins and the Hobbits’ part in the epic quest for the Ring – beginning with Bilbo’s fateful visit from Gandalf and culminating in the dramatic climax between Frodo and Gollum atop Mount Doom and Bilbo’s departure to the Grey Havens.
I had already read the books in the past but wanted a decent collection of them for myself. Saw this and thought it looked nice. Came in very good condition and looks great. The books are very small though so be warned.
Great Classic Book But Hobbit size! Thrilled to get the Books for my Husband but surprised how small they were. Nowhere did it state that the books would be so Hobbit size and small. Would of loved them being twice the size, normal ‘Atani’ human size would be great!.
Fabulous looking box set of hard backs. Haven’t removed cellophane yet as this is a gift, but from the outside these books look great. Price much better than on Amazon.
The Lord of the Rings tells of the great quest undertaken by Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring: Gandalf the wizard, Merry, Pippin and Sam, Gimli the Dwarf, Legolas the Elf, Boromir of Gondor, and a tall, mysterious stranger called Strider.
This is the only complete recording of the entire trilogy. Unabridged.
This is an absolutely wonderful, interpretative, solo, unadulterated reading of Lord of the Rings. Mr. Inglis gives life to each character of the story and makes all very believable, without the liberties some films may have taken.
This is the story as Tolkien submitted it, with later corrections, which were owing to proof-reading and editing errors at his publisher. If you are hoping for notes and appendices from Lord of the Rings, I believe these are not available in these albums, but I have heard the notes and appendices are available separately.
At least in the first portion of the Fellowship of the Ring, the disks are considerately recorded by chapter, so you need not skip around the disk to find the beginning of a new chapter. My family and I listen to one disk/chapter per night, sometimes playing the same chapter a few times.
I recommend this audio book, by set or individually, for: Firstly, a great way for your whole family (or friends) to enjoy the story Professor Toklien, not a screenwriter, wrote; secondly, a lively, well-done interpretation of Tolkien’s story; thirdly, for a great way to improve your family or friend’s literacy.
Imagine the next time you are watching the film versions of Lord of the Rings, you cringe because of the plot changes made by screenwriters. Your family or friends, who have not read the story (“it’s too big”), puzzle over your reaction, you, then, grab the disk, containing the Battle of the Hornburg, from your collection and play it.
As your family and friends listen, you may then say, “See, Legolas was the only elf at Helm’s Deep. ” You will most certainly enjoy these albums, if you enjoy Tolkien at all.
I really love this Audio Book. Its the first time iv ever listened to one and im only a little way through the first section of it. I did buy the BBC version of the Lord of the Rings and i enjoyed it but at the same time i felt it just didnt have the detail in the descrption of characters or of the suroundings that i’d hpoed for.
I wanted to be able to relax and let my imagonation run away, to lose track of all time and fall into the world of ”middle earth” without having the strain and sleepy effects from reading. Reading for me can be differcult any way.
(And Tolkien had a nack of wrighting some differcult texts at the best of times) haha! This was the answer. Weather driving, sitting in the garden or even reding along with the book it has been nothing short of perfect.
The narrator really takes you to another world as if you wher a fly on the wall following the adventor. He has also done ”The Hobbit” wich i recently have bin thinking of buying to go with the collection.
This is a great gift! Rob Inglis does a wonderful job and has excellent voices for all the different characters. Great for long car rides. If you’ve never read the Lord of the Rings or tried to read it and couldn’t get through the unabridged audiobooks are a great way to enjoy this epic triology.
The WINNER of 11 Academy Awards* including BEST PICTURE is now 50 minutes longer! This extended version of the epic conclusion of The Lord of the Rings trilogy includes new score by Howard Shore and over 350 new digital effects shots.
This is a great addition to any fantasy collection. The dvd set is amazing, the collectable model stash box has amazing detail ((despite the fact it is missing the tree of the king in the center)) and overall it is just a good piece and worth the $60 investment.
Really Nice SET Movie. The Return of the King in the theatre, and only now am I writing my review of it. Why, the DVD is even out at this point. But even so, this is in fact a review of the theatrical release.
The movie is, of course, an adaptation of the novel by the same name. However, it should be noted that it also includes a good six chapters from The Two Towers, three from each of that novel s two books.
Amaze everyone with this magical mug that features a black exterior decorated with the Elvish ‘One Ring’ text that is transformed to display a map of Middle Earth when the mug is filled with a hot beverage.
_x000D_ _x000D_ The Lord of the Rings is one of the best-selling novels ever written. This high-fantasy novel written by J. R. R. Tolkien is a sequel to Tolkien’s 1937 fantasy novel The Hobbit, and developed into a larger piece of work than anticipated so was written in stages between 1937 and 1949.
The title of the novel refers to the story’s main antagonist, Dark Lord Sauron, who had earlier created the One Ring to rule the other Rings of Power as the ultimate weapon in his campaign to conquer and rule all of Middle Earth_x000D_ _x000D_ Officially licensed, this Lord of The Rings mug is a wonderful collectible Item and a great piece of memorabilia.
Supplied in a full colour branded box, it makes a great gift. Any fan of Lord of The Rings is sure to love this adorable mug. It is a great way to display your fandom either at home, at college or at the office.
With many companies banning the use of plastic cups and bottles in the workplace, there has never been a better time to take your own mug to work.
I was only searching for a huge mug. I like to drink very large mugs of tea and good mug of the right size is hard to find. As a LoTR fan I loved the theme. The change from cold to hot is a sheer delight.
I can’t stop showing my friends what happens, just like I’m a big kid (I’m 66). I shall probably buy another, just in case I accidentally break this one.
I bought this as a gift for my partner who is a fan of LoTR and he loved it. Fairly large mug, looks great, I love the colour change and it arrived in great condition and earlier than expected.
Ordered 2 of these as presents. Both arrived broken. 1 had a broken handle and the other had completely broken in half as well as a broken handle. Really disappointed as they would have made great gifts.
This “Time Lord and Companion” friendship ring set is great for best friends or couples that want to show their bond. Each ring is stamped by hand, one letter at a time. Everyone’s favorite time travel device, the TARDIS, is stamped on the inside end of each ring.

I received the item within a week of ordering; I wasn’t expecting it to be shipped for another week! The rings fit perfectly, & aren’t uncomfortable even after wearing for long hours. I gave them 4 stars only because the black inside the lettering wore off after about a day, but I also never took my ring off (even when showering).
The rings look better without the black, but look great either way in my opinion! My girlfriend & I both love the rings!.
Update: I started wearing my ring on Sunday afternoon, and by Tuesday the black lettering is starting to fade already. Will update if it gets worse. Downgraded to 4 stars because of this. \n\nLOVE these rings! I especially like that they’re adjustable so can be worn on pretty much any finger or on thumbs.
Shipping time was acceptable. Not amazingly amazing, but more than acceptable. Thank you!.
My boyfriend and I love our rings so much! they are perfect! they fit perfectly and arrived early! they are perfect for the long distance realtionship i have, whenever i see my ring i can think of him! thank you so much for adding that little detail, it really ment alot! i will totally shop here again!!!! thanks!.
This multipart plastic The Fellowship of the Ring set contains nine wonderfully sculpted plastic figures – Gandalf the Grey, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir and the Hobbits, Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin – as well as one Ring Priority Marker.
This multipart plastic box set contains 13 components and ten 25mm Round Bases with which to make The Fellowship of the Ring as well as one Ring Priority Marker. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly.
Overall a great product. It even comes with the ring as an initiative marker. One negative is the sculpt for Aragorn has a weird flat spot behind his head connecting to his arrow quiver which may be difficult to look good without some carving or something.
Pez Numbered Limited Edition Collectible Gift Set The Lord of the Rings Pez gift Set features eight Pez candy dispensers: Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and Gollum! This set looks fantastic and is a must-have for Pez collectors, sci-fi collectors and Tolkien fans.
Pez was one of the classic candies that i loved as a kid. Theyre cute cheap candies with a fun collectible candy holder. I cant think of anything I would improve, I love them! All the flavors are good and I love giving pez as gifts because i don’t know anyone who doesnt like them.
This collection set is one of my favorites, I also have the Harry Potter and Disney as well. I haven’t opened it for obvious reasons but everyone knows what pez taste like. What more can I possibly say about this? Grab yourself one if you like to collect or eat.

The Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers (Special Extended Edition Collector’s Gift Set) (Boxset) DVD new At the end of part one, following the death of Boromir (Sean Bean) and Gandalf s plunge into the pit at Khazad-dûm, The Fellowship was forced to divide.
Though splintered into three groups, each member of the original Fellowship is no less determined in his heroic quest. In their parallel journeys, the Fellowship will face unimaginable armies and deception while also witnessing ancient wonders and the untapped strength of their people.
Together they must stand against the powerful forces spreading from the Two Towers û Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where the corrupted wizard Saruman has bred a lethal army 10,000 strong; and Sauron s fortress at Barad-dûr, deep within the dark lands of Mordor.
I have ordered all three of the limited edition sets for the movies. I love the movies and the sets are an awesome way to display your movies and great conversation pieces. I would highly recommend the movie and if you have a little room to display these awesome, beautiful limited edition sets I highly recommend them.
They are also great conversation pieces and other Lord of the Rings enthusiasts will also be in awe at these beautiful addition to your movie display!.
This was the one that got away when these boxed sets first arrived. I had decided that I would wait a bit for the price to drop and the next thing you know, everyone was out of them. I didn’t wait when The Return of the King hit the stores, but I could never find The Two Towers anywhere.
Until it turned up here on ebay. for a Great Price! In my opinion, this movie is the best of the three because, 1) It gives Gollum’s back story, 2) It introduces us to Treebeard and 3) Gandalf comes back as the White Wizard.
Very happy with product, have not played the dvd’s yet, so I can only lv feedback for the overall arrival of the product, seems to be in good condition, my main purchase in purchasing this was for the statue.
Product Description:Officially licenced Warner Bros merchandise gold coloured metal Costume Ring [U. S size 10] complete with 60cm Neck Chain. Housed in a velvet draw string velvet with presentation box.
An authentic prop replica of the ring won by Bilbo in his riddles in the dark game with Gollum. At this point in the ring’s life it was a plain gold band. It would be more than 60 years before the flames of Bilbo’s fire reveal the language of the Dark Tongue and the true nature of this trinket.
Both chain and ring look like/seem to be plastic, the chain is far too short, the clasp is fiddly, and the inscription only appears on the outside not the inside. It did come in a nice LOTR logoed box and pouch but nevertheless, nowhere near the quality I was expecting.
I’d heard good things about the Noble Collection, I will know better in the future.
Both the ring and the chain feel solid and of good quality, and they have a great and authentic look to them. If it is intended to wear, it should be noted that the chain is a little small, but it does open and can be worn comfortably.
As a collectible/decoration, it is even better, and I am very happy with it. Recommended for both decor and as a wearable for the devoted LOTR fan!.
Five stars! This thing exceeded my expectations! I often hold it in my hands. It is my precious! We must not let the filthy hobbitses steal it from us!
Four-volume boxed-set edition of The Lord of the Rings in hardback, featuring Tolkien’s original unused dust-jacket designs, together with fourth hardback volume, The Lord of the Rings: A Reader’s Companion.
Great dust covers on all of the books with wounderful gold words on the spine of the books makes for a great pic both with the dust covers or without. Warning you can lightly see the words on the other side but the paper is high quality so you would have to try to damage the paper.
I would recommend this book set to any LOTR Fan who is looking for a Hardcover edition.
Boxed gift set of Tolkien’s classic masterpieces, fully illustrated throughout in watercolour by the acclaimed and award-winning artist, Alan Lee, Conceptual Designer on Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT films.
Since they were first published, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings have been two books people have treasured. Steeped in unrivalled magic and otherworldliness, these works of sweeping fantasy have touched the hearts of young and old alike.
Between them, nearly 150 million copies have been sold around the world. And no editions have proved more popular than the two that were illustrated by award-winning artist, Alan Lee – the Centenary edition of The Lord of the Rings and the 60th Anniversary edition of The Hobbit.
Now, the new hardback editions of these beautifully illustrated works have been collected together into one boxed set of four books. Readers will be able to follow the complete story of the Hobbits and their part in the quest for the Ring – beginning with Bilbo’s fateful visit from Gandalf and culminating in the dramatic climax between Frodo and Gollum atop Mount Doom – while also enjoying over seventy full-page colour paintings and numerous illustrations which accompany this epic tale.
This is the best set of LOTR books I have owned so far. The presentation inside the books is very good. Thick paper, nice colouring on the page numbers. The plates are interesting. Given that the plates predate the movies it seems like they have been inspirational there.
The binding seems strong, I like hard covers for books I permanently keep. The only let down is the external presentation. I don’t like the jackets much. The hard covers themselves are not very premium in comparison to a version of the hobbit I have.
That one has a gold inlaid smaug symbol. I would have greatly appreciate a bigger size. Maybe like a4 paper size. Most of us would have had paperbacks to read before but in this premium version I wanted larger.
I love this set but will buy another version if they improve the things mentioned.
I absolutely love Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movies. I used to have the books. But, at some point, I had lost them. So, I finally ordered myself a new set, and I am so happy I did. The box that the books come in is in perfect condition.
It doesn’t have any scratches or torn corners, neither do the books themselves. The thing I love most though is that these books are much bigger than the set that I used to have. So, it will be much easier for me to read them.
I have always wanted to reread Tolkien’s great epic adventure. I also wanted a set that reflected the wonder of the story. This set is it. It is simply stunning, beautifully illustrated and superbly bound.
If you must go on a lengthy, dangerous quest, whether to Mordor or some other destination, it’s absolutely essential that you bring along the best companions! No fellowship would be complete without Legolas armed with his bow, Gimli with his ax and Boromir with his sword and horn of Gondor.
You may find an unlikely ally in the Dunharrow King, who is eager to fulfill his oath to Isildur and be rid of his curse and avoid the Witch King of Angmar, leader of the Ringwraiths and scourge of Middle-earth, but Lady Galadriel might bestow a gift upon you if you’re very lucky.
Each POP! figure stands about 3 3/4′ tall and features the fan-favorite design. Window box packaging.
J R R Tolkien The Lord of the Rings 3 Books Collection Box Set (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King) Continuing the story of The Hobbit, this three-volume boxed set of Tolkien’s epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings, features striking black covers based on Tolkien’s own design, the definitive text, and three maps including a detailed map of Middle-earth.
Sauron, the Dark Lord, has gathered to him all the Rings of Power – the means by which he intends to rule Middle-earth. All he lacks in his plans for dominion is the One Ring – the ring that rules them all – which has fallen into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins.
In a sleepy village in the Shire, young Frodo Baggins finds himself faced with an immense task, as his elderly cousin Bilbo entrusts the Ring to his care. Frodo must leave his home and make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ring and foil the Dark Lord in his evil purpose.
Since it was first published in 1954, ‘The Lord of the Rings’ has been a book people have treasured. Steeped in unrivalled magic and otherworldliness, its sweeping fantasy has touched the hearts of young and old alike.
What else can you say the epic tale of Frodo Bagins and the adventures that takes him to mount doom. You’ve all seen the movies but they don’t really do the books justice. Buy read keep it for your children.
The Lord of the Rings series are amazing books. Full of adventure, excitement, suspense, mystique, grandeur, and amazing and lovable character’s this amazing series is probably one of the greatest stories of all time.
With culture and tradition highly ingrained in the story these books feel close at times to actual myth. It’s great to have the whole trilogy in one box set. Highly recommended. And you won’t find it cheaper anywhere than here.
Celebrated Tolkien illustrator Alan Lee, a conceptual designer for the blockbuster films based on “The Lord of the Rings”, contributes 50 beautiful full-page, full-color paintings to this elegant three-volume edition.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. In ancient times the Rings of Power were crafted by the Elven-smiths, and Sauron, The Dark Lord, forged the One Ring, filling it with his own power so that he could rule all others.
But the One Ring was taken from him, and though he sought it throughout Middle-earth, it remained lost to him. After many ages it fell, by chance, into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. From his fastness in the Dark Tower of Mordor, Sauron’s power spread far and wide.
He gathered all the Great Rings to him, but ever he searched far and wide for the One Ring that would complete his dominion. On his eleventy-first birthday Bilbo disappeared, bequeathing to his young cousin Frodo the Ruling Ring and a perilous quest — to journey across Middle-earth, deep into the shadow of the Dark Lord, and destroy the Ring by casting it into the Cracks of Doom.
The Lord of the Rings tells of the great quest undertaken by Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring: Gandalf the Wizard, Merry, Pippin, and Sam, Gimli the Dwarf, Legolas the Elf, Boromir of Gondor, and a tall, mysterious stranger called Strider.
Saga of a group heroes who set forth to save their world from evil. A brotherhood of hobbits, elves, dwarves, and people is formed to combat evil forces. Tolkien drew on his extensive knowledge of folklore and the classics to create the worlds and creatures described in the trilogy, which includes The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.
I have read this trilogy 4 times paper back for every decade of my life starting in my teens. This hardbound edition is fantastic! The illustrations are beautiful and the type is bigger. I am almost 60 so that helps.
I can pass this set on to my kids someday, they love this trilogy too. Love it and a great buy!.
The influence of JRR Tolkien to the works of English Literature is only be rivaled by William Shakespeare. Note that Tolkien, unlike Bill, has no cloud of controversy as to whether he wrote all his works or not.
The concept of creating a real language for other races (popularly used in Star Trek) was started when he wrote the language of the elves. He created the Ents, commonly called Treefolk in Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering.
Finally, although brutal beasts have existed for centuries in fantasy and legend, he was the first to call the most powerful ones Orcs. But The Lord of the Rings (LOR) would not have had the influence it does if all he did was invent monsters or fantastic words.
LOR is a true work of literature. There are many different layers to the story and something in their depth is bound to appeal to anybody. LOR is first of all a Fantasy Adventure story, filled with mighty heroes, strange monsters, fantastic cultures and powerful magic.
It is a series filled with a rich history of unpublished works he had been working on. It is an allegorical history of the fall of the feudal society, the rise of industry and the struggle for human rights.
It is a reflection of both world wars. Finally, it is a story of Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular. The series was not originally what Tolkien wanted to write. He had been working on the histories and stories of Middle Earth for decades and wanted to use them as the background for what would be the final, and greatest, story of that mythos.
The Hobbit, however, was too popular and he was forced to write “another halfling story”. In the end, he compromised and adjusted his own ideas to accept the hobbits as major characters. It is for this reason that The Hobbit, even after being substantially re-written, does not fit as smoothly with LOR as one would expect for a “prequel”.
His original world can be found in “The Simerillian” and other works published after his death by his son Christopher. The Industrial Revolution destroyed a 1000 year culture. The nobility fell from power (Elves leaving Middle Earth), the influence of the guilds was minimized (Dwarves hiding in their caves) and the Church came under siege (Galadriel refusing to leave Lothlorien).
At this time, the industrialists (Sauroman) and dictators (Saron) enslaved the people (Orcs) and threatened to destroy human rights (the Free Peoples Gondor and Rohan). When Aragorn is crowned King, Tolkien was prophesizing the ultimate victory over oppression that happened in the 1980s with the fall of communism.
Marx, Steinbeck, HG Wells and other great authors all wrote about certain aspects of this time, but only Tolkien covered the entire 150+ year period. The series was written during WW II, so it is easy to understand why the fears of the Free Peoples come so alive.
Tolkien and the people he worked and lived with were experiencing the very same threat themselves. The Christian references in the story are too numerous to list in the limited space of this forum, but it is easy to point out how Jesus (Gandalf), papal authority (Galadriel), Judas (Boramir) and sin (the ring) are portrayed in the series.
The LOR is more than just another fantasy adventure story. It presents nearly 200 years of human struggle for rights in a changing world and emphasizes the importance of spirituality in order to win.

Absolutely gorgeous set of Lord of the Rings books in perfect condition and beautiful illustrations. Was so happy to add to my classic/vintage book collection. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you!
The Lord of the Rings Middle-earth coin set is a unique must have for any coin collector or Lord of the Rings fan! This set includes five different coins Based on The Lord of the Rings movies. Each coin is made of solid brass, copper, and iron and features a treated look to make them look as if they had been circulated, because of this no two sets are exactly the same!.
I ordered these as a Christmas gift for my husband, and he loved them!! They’re very nice quality, and came in a neat envelope with info on all the coins. If you know a Lord of the Rings fan, this is an awesome thing to gift.
I absolutely plan on getting the whole set for him!!.
Not only are the coins amazing in both quality and presentation but the customer service is amazing as well. I ordered Middle-earth set #1 for my wife for Christmas but it turned out that my oldest son had also bought her the exact same set.
I contacted the seller the day after Christmas to see if I could exchange my set for set #2. He responded promptly letting me know that he was sending out set #2 to me right away and including a postage paid envelope to return the duplicate set.
The new set arrived just 2 days later and is as amazing as the 1st set. We will gladly do business with this seller again. He went above and beyond and I am very grateful!.
These coins are amazing! I feel as if I am traveling Middle Earth, using each coin to call to mind a different destination. The Brumby coin and the Fall Leaf of Holly coin have lighter embossing than the other three coins, but are no less intriguing.
I am thrilled to add these to my growing Middle Earth coin collection.
Throughout its nearly 5,000-year lifetime, the One Ring traveled to many corners of Middle-earth. Perhaps the most renowned is Mount Doom: the Ring’s first and final resting place. There, sitting atop a bed of lava, the Ring shows its true nature by revealing the language of Mordor engraved on its surface.
Next is Anduin: the longest river of the Third Age, on whose bed the Ring lay in wait for several millennia after the first defeat of Sauron and the death of his foe, Isildur. Eventually, the Ring was discovered by Smeagol, taken by Bilbo, and passed to Frodo, who journeyed with it to the enchanted land of Lothlórien, where it famously tested the elven queen, Galadriel.
Choose from these three legendary locations, and bring the One Ring to a keyboard in your collection.
Bought the Mount Doom and Anduin versions. These were easily the most complimented part of my keyboard from several of my friends. Mine arrived flawless. They do fit onto the switches no problem, but the fit felt different than my regular keys (DROP Dwarvish keycaps).
The regular keys felt really snug and I had to press longer to make it fit. These also fit well, but they attached with more of a slide than a squeeze. Hard to explain but bottom line they fit perfectly, just differently.
Would NOT recommend pairing it with DROP ALT barebones though. yeah they are compatible, but I literally received 3 different brand new units of that keyboard and all 3 arrived faulty. In all seriousness if you’re paying $65 for these keycaps, please put them on something better than a broken DROP ALT.
It’s a great looking key cap and has a install method of using hot water to loosen up the plastic but even with that the key cap is now so lose it can be pulled off or if moved gravity itself will pull this off.
I’ve ordered numerous artisan keycaps from other vendors and this is the first and last time I’d want to use one that has this install method. If the previous method of installing cherry kep caps isn’t broke don’t try to fix it.
I understand they are trying to allow for other switches to have a more exact fit but this just seemed to make it worse. It’s too small to put on without heating it up and once heated up it can no longer hold onto a switch.
I just hope they can use a one size fits most going forward for future drops or are-run.
