20 Best Loose Leaf Tea Storage Containers (2023 Updated)

What can be more exciting that a canister? NOTHING. Okay, in reality, this looks like a well-built canister. It has a good seal on it and it closes tightly. Our previous canister is exactly the same but without the word, “coffee” on it.

It’s made by the same company, Oggi. The first, older canister is still perfect after perhaps 7-8 years of use. We use it for coffee grounds and the new one is being used for whole beans, otherwise we would be very happy with just the first one.

The point is, it’s lasted for many years and has kept its nice look and its tight seal. I fully expect this new one to also last many years. Attractive, well made, will likely last many years. I wish I could say the same about me.

This is a nice canister; however, it does NOT hold a 32 oz. , nor even a 24 oz. , bag of ground coffee for my coffee machine. It is listed as a 60 oz. canister, but that must be FLUID ounces and NOT DRY ounces.

Disappointed, but will try their 130 oz. canister and hope for the best.

I ordered this Coffee Canister a month ago & it has arrived!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! It keeps my coffee grounds so fresh I don’t need to grind beans anymore. I really like how it looks on my counter top, shiny & bright.

I was looking for something I could put my tea bags in, that would allow the to be easily displayed and not take up a large amount of counter space. I saw this one, and after careful consideration, I thought I would give it a try.

If it didn’t work out, I would not be out of a lot of money as the price with shipping was under $15. It arrived quickly and I took it out of the box. No surprises as it was completely described. Made out of wood, with large enough sections to hold Twining, Tao, Stash and other brands that have a large envelope.

Eight slots provide ample space to store different flavored teas and clear plastic window allows easy viewing. The box itself is very sturdy and well made. It is light weight. There is no latch or lock on the lid, but who’s going to steal your tea? The hinges are adequate for most use, but don’t let your three year old play with it, as pulling back too far on the lid would damage the hinges.

The clear plastic that sets in the lid is rather flimsy, so don’t set anything heavy on it. It would also probably scratch up fairly easy. With normal use, this should last a long time.

So disappointed!!! Should have really adhered to the bad ratings about how poorly this product is made! I purchased 2 for mother’s day – both arrived later that week since there are no tea boxes available to review in the BBB stores (had I been able to see any in the stores, this would never have been purchased) – I immediately realized that these DO NOT hold all tea bag sizes – only the smaller tea bags such as the Trader Joes in plastic, the Tazo or Stash tea bags (and many other brands) do not fit correctly no matter how positioned so you cannot close the lid.

Even more disappointing? My mom’s broke – the lid simply falls apart when you open it (regular pressure, nothing out of the ordinary) – and then mine broke! These are going back as soon as possible! One last disappointing aspect – even with the online code, none of my coupons were accepted to my order which cost me about $15 more – I’ll be looking elsewhere for a much better product! Potential buyer beware :(.

The inset is plastic. I thought it would be glass. The top is very lightweight and, if a tea bag is even slightly over the top, it won’t close all the way. So I had to fold any bags that were in individual wrappers in half.

This cuts down on the room available. A little more time on the design and a better quality hinge would have fixed this and made it more functional.

It was quick shipping and a reasonable price. Each acrylic tea organizer had a broken piece inside. The “latching L” shape that fits just inside the edge on the right side was broken off on each organizer.

The pieces were packed together in a plastic sleeve and then packed in the pillow packs. I’m guessing this is a design issue and not a packaging issue. It doesn’t hinder the usage of the product.

These are perfect for my tea assortment! There could have been just a little more room in each slot, because I have to force a lot of the bigger tea bags to fit, but that’s a minor issue. I’m very happy with how these look, and it’s a vast improvement over having stacks of tea boxes shoved in my cabinets.

I do wish that the price point had been a bit lower, but I had tried another set from another big online retailer for slightly less money, and they were terrible quality so I returned those.

I bought this for my tea bags in my pantry so I wouldnt have a million boxes and could see what teas I have. I buy typical tea at the grocery store in the standard packaging. The compartments on this are just a tad to small to actually organize them without having to fold corners.

Not what I was expecting but I just rotated the bags and left the extra space.

From now on I have gotten it at Marshal/ home goods and TJ maxx Tea canister 10 mugs 4 I consider this a rip off 60 dollares vs. 10

I was a pyrex container girl for years! I thought they were the best. I was wrong! Last year I received a small OXO Good Grips glass storage container set as a gift. I was immediately a fan! First, these are dishwasher safe, microwave safe, oven safe, freezer safe, and perfect for the fridge.

Second, the lids are a very snug airtight fit, yet easy to put on and remove! Excellent for my arthritic hands. Third, the glass is thick and heavy. Feels very durable. Fourth, they stack beautifully, keeping the fridge nice and organized.

Fifth, the seal in the lid is removable. Super easy to clean and replace. Sixth, your leftovers will last longer with the high-quality seal the lids provide. I have replace every storage container with this brand.

Don’t bother with comparable brands, they don’t compare! Great price for superior containers!.

Bought this to experiment with microwaving egg scrambles in the morning. I don’t like using plastic stuff in the microwave, especially in day-to-day usage. Trying to come up with glass, all-in- one “vessel” breakfast without the frying pan.

Keep some diced peppers, tomatoes, onions, ham, shredded cheese, etc. , on hand, and it’s easy to throw them and a couple of scrambled raw eggs into this bowl. You can do them all together at once, or do the diced stuff first for thirty seconds, then add the eggs.

Experiment with the total time (not long), salt & pepper to taste, make some toast, and you’ll be rewarded with a tasty, quick, easy to heat, serve, eat and clean-up breakfast. It works great.

I am making the switch from plastic to glass for my storage containers. OXO is my go-to brand bc of their price point and warranty, but, I was hesitant to buy these due to the price per container. Though I was not disappointed, these are heavy duty quality storage containers.

– Lid goes on easily every time (I have other containers that have to have perfect positioning of the lid before it will click closed and it’s a pain) – Lid seals tight each time – Lid and sealing gasket piece are easy to separate and easy to clean.

-8 cups is a great size I highly recommend this brand for glass storage and will be buying more in other sizes.

Wow, this is sturdy and you gotta live that great lucite. I originally intended it to go into my sewing machine drawer to hold all my notions but I didn’t realize it’s a drawer so it doesn’t work for that purpose.

I’m using it as it’s intended for: to hold a lot of my miscellaneous teas, and I’ve got a ton! It’s stackable so I could conceivably purchase another to put on top but for now I have boxes sitting on the top.

Lovely and crisp, fits in well to my pantry I like that dividers can be removed too as I like to store both tea and pods. Also love the fact that I can see exactly what we have at a glance however, I think I expected it to be a little heavier or sturdier especially for the price I paid.

I don’t like how the units (I purchased two) move when I open one drawer.

I was looking for something to organize all of my tea. I have a friends breakfast almost every month, most of us drink coffee some drink tea. This worked out perfectly for my tea drinkers to pick their preference.

Wood was not nice. It was rough and untreated. The metal hinges are old and rusted. There were tiny holes drilled or hammered in some of wood making it appear to be recycled wood. The worse part is? IT SMELLS AWFUL and so bad that I will not put my tea bags in this box.

I dont know what the smell will do to the tea. Its a waste of money. I am VERY disappointed in the product and seller.

The plexiglass was cheap, the cover to prevent scratches was useless. It rip while removing it so guess what……. it’s going to scratch. The bottom of box is already separating, not sure if they didn’t mail or glue it right.

Please don’t buy this.

Good quality wood box. The lid attached well. Clear surface, you can see your tea bags trough. Additional small drawer, as a bonus. Thanks

This is a great size and pretty wood (bamboo) for display on my counter. The only caveat is that the drawer slides out easily so be sure you don’t tip the box forward or drawer may slip out completely along with its contents.

Love all the decorative empty tins, in all sizes! I liked the set for this one, I wish the blue version of this collection didn’t disappear so fast, would be great to bring it back as well. Also would be cool if there were a couple more designs for the seasons in the different sizes again (I use the large decorative tins to store multiple pouches of tea in).

For designs, collaborations with different artists across Canada could be featured pertaining to the seasons, that would be super cool (I can think of a ton here in Calgary let alone across Canada)!! and you could carry the designs into the cups and other tea merchandise as well, that would be so amazing! With partial profits going to the artist for their work and then also bringing recognition to Canadian culture, artistry and diversity.

Great Tin! Wish there was a rubber gasket because it tends to seal in better than metal against metal. Just personal opinion and experience. I do love the design and colors though! Quite peaceful.

This is a very beautiful tin, however I wish it had grip friendly sides for the top to make gripping it to open easier

Have limited space in my kitchen but noticed it matched the same as the sugar one I bought so thought it would look nice in my larder as a matching set, I can change over from my other set (Denby) as and when or just keep this as my refill set.

Very pleased love the options of different colours too, nearly went for the dark green. Grey is my new theme in my kitchen.

This is the 2nd Typhoon Coffee Canister that I have purchased. The 1st one was a gift to my brother who is an avid coffee drinker. When I saw it after it arrived, I loved it so much that I had to get one for myself.

It is a really nice looking metal canister of good quality. Love the attractive air-tight bamboo lid, too. Keeps coffee nice and fresh. Highly recommend!.

Exactly as described! It’s freed up so much counter space and looks quite attractive while doing so. We drink tea upwards of 5x a day, much of the week, and this box has truly elevated our tea-game. The craftsmanship is lovely, the finish perfect and the capacity is impressive.

Just buy it. This is a great tea holder. It does the job of holding multiple tea flavors but is also aesthetically gorgeous on my countertops. Slots hold standard tea bags no oversized pouches. Hope this helps.

Great tea organizer. Beautiful wood. Would buy again and as a gift. Arrived in perfect condition.

This is so convenient. Nice organization tool. The only thing I didn’t like was – when you stack the tea bags, they start caving in and don’t continue stacking evenly (because one end of the tea bag is thicker), so they cave in a bit as the pile gets taller.

Also, pulling the tea bags isn’t as quick as it looks in the picture. You kind of need to shimmy out the tea bag. Nothing crazy. You can definitely deal with it. It’s just a heads up.

I found this product to be made of good materials, and the quality of construction seemed very good as well. I have no complaints about the quality. However, my unit had two issues when it came function.

First, the unit that I received did not include a swivel base, as is clearly indicated in the product description and pictures on the web site. Second, I like Twinings tea, and the pictures on the site show Twinings tea bags loaded in two of the storage compartments.

The problem is that the Twinings tea bags will only fit in the unit sideways, and the dispensing slot at the bottom is not wide enough to get them out that way. The dispensing slots are not cut all the way over to the wall of the internal compartments, making them too narrow to dispense bags that must be loaded sideways.

This simple design flaw is not evident from the product pictures and makes the product useless if your preferred brand of tea must be loaded sideways. If this design flaw is ever corrected, I would buy this product again.

If your preferred brand of tea comes in smaller bags, then this product may work well for you and you’ll probably be happy with it. I subtracted one star for the missing swivel base, and two stars for the design flaw resulting in dispensing slots that are too narrow, since that makes the product unusable for me.

Don’t know what I would do without this. It’s pretty and good quality. Easy to turn. Only problem is getting them out through the bottom. But it’s great.

For those mentioning their difficulty removing stickers from the packaging, SLOW and steady wins the race. If you attempt to rip the packaging label off quickly, you will be frustrated. Glue dots can be removed cleanly and easily by pulling S-L-O-W-L-Y.

I am a SUPER picky person, and I felt like it needs to be known that this is the BEST tea organizer on the market. I have been looking for a tea organizer for a few years and even turned down an offer for my mother in law to buy me one at the Container Store previously because I could not find one that was just right.

Until now. Other organizers I looked at were weirdly heavy/oddly tall, the lid wasn’t attached, or just had an odd layout. This one is absolutely perfect. You can fit 8 kids of regular sized tea bags (extra large ones fit at an angle), it’s not bulky or heavy, and the lid is hinged so it opens and closes easily.

I almost purchased a different one that I saw on an organizing Instagram page, but I’m happy I stuck to finding exactly what I wanted. Each slot holds a bunch of tea bags (I had a lot of boxes that were pretty much full and it fit all of them).

My ONLY critique is that the individual slots could be a hair wider. They lay perfectly flat, but if it is just a tiny bit wider than standard they sit at a very, very slight angle (probably a normal person would not notice besides me).

Overall I highly recommend, and if you are super picky this is the best one on the market.

I bought 2 of these because I apparently hoard tea. I needed to get organized and make more room for tea cups and thermoses. This did the trick! I was able to bring my tea collection from 2. 5 shelves of space to 1.

And it looks really nice / sturdy / good quality materials, so I can serve it to guests without me being embarrassed & them sorting through a bunch of boxes. 10/10 recommend.

I just received my tin and dumped my 100g teas in it. I’m amazed this is an ABSOLUTE UNIT. A chonky tin for tea hoarders for sure. It looks long lasting for covering up the air on these teas and I hope it really lasts.

I’d rather get this than the regular silver tin, if that’s the case.

I bought this because it’s what was on the website. It holds a decent amount. Not crazy about busy graphics or how the top seals. Needed a canister and this was convenient. Will be replacing once I get out and go shopping.

I guess i should have read closer, because they are indeed “large” haha. However, they are very pretty. 2 of the 3 I ordered came in dented, and one beyond being able to use; the lid will not close. I guess I’m glad i got them so cheap.

I wanted a sealing lid for my tea canister to keep it fresh. This does the trick. I have had it for about 5 months. It makes me happy seeing the cute owl and tree scene. The size is smallish. like a jumbo soup can if you could make it taller.

This product is adorable but. very disappointed in the size! This item is way smaller than most coffee containers. This item won’t hold a regular bag of coffee. I will keep this item for its style but definitely don’t like the size.

I love the design of this line of kitchen products. The little animals are adorable. This coffe canister however is a smaller than I expected. Very cute though.

Excellent size jar for the tea that I have. Item came packaged very well. I definitely recommend buying especially if your a tea drinker. This jar is glass so that I can see what I have very wide mouth for the opening can fit whole hand without getting it stuck.

The lid Shuts tightly. I would love to upload photos to see how wonderfully packaged they came to prevent from breaking. I am very pleased with this purchased.

This is large enough to hold a whole box of bags. However, the metal hinge and clasp are fairly flimsy. It will work since you won’t open it too frequently, but it really should have been sturdier.

I have bought 3 of the ones that say coffee before and I am as pleased with this one as all the others. Look nice sitting on the counter. Being glass that are easy to wash and do not hold the odor of the coffee.

I use these for my flavored coffees.

Looks great and I’d love to buy more. But the handle on the lid doesn’t feel that strong, and with the suction of pulling off the lid, I have concerns , unless I’m extremely careful, it’s going to snap.
