20 Best Long Sleeve Sun Protection Shirts (2023 Updated)

The shirt looks defective. If you look at the picture I took you can see white spots. The color is not consistent throughout the entire shirt. It’s as though not enough die was utilized. You can especially notice it throughout the blue chest area.

I ordered a large because that’s what I usually wear. Let’s just say I look like a sausage in a casing in this shirt. I really do need it but it’s too expensive to send back to get a bigger size, so my money was wasted.

Bought this for my fiancé and she loves it! Perfect for breezy days at the beach when we’re fishing. And it looks fantastic on her!

My size in shirts is Extra Large. I ordered Extra Large shirts but your sizes run small. My shirts are very tight and uncomfortable. In case you wanted to know. Love the shirts, except that I can not wear them at all, too small.

Love the soft colors in this slub long sleeve tee. It is a really nice blend and can be worn with a lot of colors. Love it.

I bought this shirt with the intention of using it on backpacking trips. I am a sweaty guy and after three days on the trail (60-85℉) this shirt didn’t stink. Sure, it holds some faint odor but it was not noticeable unless I stuck my nose in the armpit and took a good whiff.

I have full merino wool base layers that I have put through similar conditions and this shirt holds the same anti odor performance. This shirt also does a fantastic job of breathing. Even drenched in sweat I never overheated and the shirt never felt clammy like some workout shirts can get.

The shirt does great at drying out while hiking, but it takes time to dry after hand washing and hanging up to dry overnight (still damp in the morning, but body heat dries it out quickly once you start moving).

I have a lean build (185lbs) and at 6’4″ tall I settled on the XXL and the shirt fits perfect. It has the length in the torso and sleeves like I need and yet it is not super wide. I first ordered the XL and ended up giving it to my father as it was a little tighter than I would like, so with that in mind I’d recommend sizing up if you like a little freedom of movement.

The XXL still has a slim cut compared to pretty much any major sports brand’s XL. (thus ‘runs small’) I LOVE this shirt. The oatmeal color isn’t easy to find and I am very happy that Solbari makes this colorway.

(The color helps hide dirt when out on the trail) Fit, feel, and performance are all top notch. If you are looking for a shirt that keeps up with the demands of being a workhorse, this is the one. If there was a version of this shirt with a hood and ‘henley’ style buttons, it would be a backpacking staple as well.

I bought two t-shirts at the beginning to see if I would like them. They are light and so comfortable. I simply love them. I sent another order for two more. You may swim at sea with it and it keeps it’s colour and shape.

When you come out from the water, the shirt keeps you cool while it’s dry. I have a sensitive skin and I feel well protected by my solbari shirts.

Good somewhat form-fitting shirt with slight stretchability. It’s not tight nor loose. Very smooth feeling on inside that didn’t cling to body from the perspiration during a brisk walk in warm weather.

I purchased a small size in black for my small frame. The fit was perfect and flattering. It’s a very good-looking quality shirt that is worth the price.

I love the colour; exactly as in the shared customer picture wearing the LOVE necklace. The fabric is soft and comfortable. I paired with the wide brim sun hat and felt fabulous on my dog walk. This type of shirt is my favourite because you don’t have to worry about sunscreen!.

This is a quality product that meets and exceeds expectations! I purchased two items for myself first, and after receiving them and seeing the quality, decided to get some items for my husband. He is very particular about the material and fit of what he wears.

The change of season and lack of shopping during COVID left me itching for some new golf clothes. I mainly ordered this jersey because the color looked cheery and the price was good. I generally only order certain brand names online since I can be hard to fit and a little picky.

I had never ordered PGA Tour SS brand before. The color is a little brighter than expected but still a nice, very wearable pink with a tiny hint of salmon. I LOVE the shirttail hem. If you’re chesty, you might not love the fit – I’m small busted and it’s fine for me.

It’s also cut fairly large though the waist – a place I don’t need the room – but the shirt tail hem saves the fit. The upper arms are not roomy, but it’s ok enough to keep (upper arms are a spot I tend to have trouble with, so not unexpected).

In all, it’s a keeper for a pretty, soft, well designed SPF jersey. Now to wear and wash it before I decide if I will get a second color!.

I’m a Petite Size 6 and women’s golf tops are usually too long, wide or baggy on me. This long-sleeve polo is the perfect length and fit. It’s well made with reinforced seams and mesh under-sleeves that makes it look a little more modern.

I would buy this style again in different colors!.

I have had too many skin cancers to risk playing golf without being fully covered. White shirts turn yellow or grey and need to be replaced. This one is a great weight and style. Since it is new I can’t comment on durability, but it appears solidly made.

I bought one of these in 2014 and I am still wearing it in 2023. I use it anytime I am at the beach and the sun gets to harsh. I also use it for kayaking. When the material gets wet the quick dry technology aids in cooling your body down as the moisture evaporates.

It has been indispensable piece of my summer kayaking apparel. Which is why I am back here buying another one! I have found that though tight at first, it stretches over time. I normally wear size small in shirts, but I bought a XS in this shirt.

Tight at first, its now a very comfortable fit. I never put it in the dryer. just hang dry and it will last a very long time :).

I have purchased five of these shirts in different colors, including the hoodie version! Incredibly comfortable shirts, fit perfectly.

First off I like Eddie Bauer products. Good quality. I had my eye on these shirts and had gotten one and like it then they went 50% off so I got 2 more. They are UPF 50 which I look for in clothing. I like the redesign on Velcro pocket and a better back vent.

I also like the material. i tis designed for outdoors. Meaning if you are sweating outdoors but then walk into an air conditioned place you are going to notice! I try to avoid this by wearing a blended t-shirt underneath so I don’t freeze, suddenly but you do what works best for you! They look great and wear well.

I highly recommend.

We are just wrapping up a 1 week Colorado vacation with daily mountain hikes and 2 nights of back country car camping. I’ve worn this shirt throughout and its terrific. It’s pockets are very well designed for holding various items, the vents and material kept me cool on the hot sun baked afternoons and the shirt worked well with various layers in the 45 degree mornings.

It was also quite easy to wash/dry in the sink once we got to the hotel. Also nice enough to wear into town Definitely recommend.

The best ever shirt has been upgraded out of existence. The 2. 0 fits slightly snugger but the big issue is it is no longer suitable for field activity. The yoke has two very big completely open and bug inviting holes.

Great for ventilation but the worse design possible for a true outdoor shirt. I never review, but this shirt is such a disappointment after its predecessor was the best field shirt ever.

I will be writing a review of this shirt for First Coast Fly Fishers and other FFF organizations. Before doing so I want to get your comments on my experience. For 20 years I have been an everyday wearer of the #1 brand in the fishing shirt sector.

Your vertical zip pockets are so much more functional and reliable than the old flap-and-velcro design. I purchased your shirt for the camo design but found the zip pockets to be revolutionary. (Ever had your cell phone or a box of flies fall into the water when the old flap-and-velcro pocket closure failed?) I had planned to stock up with four of these shirts in each design pattern.

After wearing it I cannot. I must return the shirts. Unfortunately, I cannot wear your shirts in Florida. The ultra-tight weave is overkill. Major overkill. It causes excessive sweating. The dry weight of this shirt 3/4 of a pound.

This is 50% heavier than the leading fishing shirt brand. Within 5 minutes of wearing this shirt in the Florida humidity, this shirt weighs 2 pounds. (High humidity means that rapid evaporation is not a naturally occurring benefit that we enjoy in Florida.

Thus the reason that evaporative towels that work great in Arizona are worthless in the deep south. ) My wife is a Dr. I understand the effects of the UV light spectrum. I know that “sun protection” is a new shirt selling feature.

Let’s be real. It’s marketing hype. Yours is overkill that may **** this brand. In 50 years on the water, I have never received sunburn while wearing a shirt, any shirt. Trash the SPF 50 rating. It provides no real benefit to 90% of your target market.

Make the shirt lighter and more breathable and I will take a dozen. With all due sincerity and hope for your success.

Nice folks to buy from. I feel that Aquadesign really wants to treat there customers with respect. There products are on the right track for those of us who live to be on the water, especially saltwater.

Priced for most folks and backed by there satisfaction guarantee. Hard to find products like there’s without spending a lot more money. I know you can’t satisfy everyone but it’s nice to know they stand behind your purchase.

I like the shirt a lot. Like the idea of vent back AND vented under the arm as well. Zippier pockets are nice and the fabric is silky to the touch. The watery camo is is good. The one thing I would change is to have taps on both pockets not only the right side.

That would make it more functional for fly fishing which I will be using it for. A larger heavy type of tab to attach hemostats too would be ideal.

Picked this up for a Nov trip to Morocco and I’m pleased with it. Quality looks good, good pockets, like the snaps. Should be good on cool days as well as warm days. Stylish enough I can get away with wearing it to a nice restaurant.

After I found this tshirt, I change all my inner to this tshirt. Its lightweight and just perfect for any occasion. I like that it has multiple size choice, so I bought smaller ones to wear as an inner and normal size to wear as tshirt.

This is my second Footjoy long sleeve golf shirt that I own. I purchased my first one at my course’s pro shop and have no “cons “. It is by far the best sun protection shirt on the market today , that is extremely comfortable even in the most humid conditions.

I wear long sleeves because of skin problems from several military deployments. This shirt will wick the sweat from you and you can still play comfortably with the long sleeves. I’m in S. Florida and it’s difficult to play in the summer with long sleeves.

However, I really recommend these shirts.

The fit is good. Not to tight. Long sleeves and torso. If your between sizes go for the lesser. I’m between medium and large. I went with medium and it was a good fit. Great value. A good looking product that seems to be good quality.

Bought this shirt for my wife, after having purchased a different color for myself. The material is good at wicking away moisture and stays cool, even while doing activities in full sun. The UV protection works as expected, and the color is a nice light pink, almost salmon.

It is a great gender neutral color, so don’t shy away from it based on color alone.

My niece’s daughter really loves fishing. I purchased this for the young lady as she is outdoors all the time on the water or on the bank. She absolutely loves it, the color and the fit. I like the fact that it will protect her from the sun and keep her cool down here in TX.

Bought this and the hooded version last year. The material is SO soft. Dries extra fast. Stains wash out easily. This shirt fit a little tighter than the hooded version for some reason, though the same size.

I bought these shirts for sun protection because my adult son looked so good in his. They fit like they do on the model. All your flaws show. At 1st I was going to return them, but wearing them with my PFD and getting several compliments, I decided to keep them.

This is the perfect summer top for golf, bike or hike! I like to hand wash and hang dry – the lightweight fabric dries easily overnight which makes it great for travel. The black color pairs well with jeans leave unzipped and add a pretty necklace.

So happy I got this! It protects your skin from the sun without making you super hot, which is a plus in this Oklahoma summer heat. It is light weight and very breathable so I feel much cooler and less sweaty.

Like most active wear type clothing, it is form fitting. I usually wear an XL and sized up to the XXL and I am glad I did. My only complaint is how easily the material snags, which is borderline impossible to prevent when dealing with horses and being in a barn.

Still glad I bought it and how much more bearable it makes the summer heat!.

Just received my shirts and tried on immediately. The sleeves run a tad long. The fabric is a super shiny, clingy polyester that reveals every blemish, bump, bulge, bra strap line. Not too flattering.

If you have the least bit of body insecurities, you may want to stay away from these shirts because they will show everything. yes. even the black one! Just took it off. No good. It is light-weight so it will make a great sun shirt for all those who don’t deal with body image issues 🙂 (I’m 5’4″, around 159lbs & tried on size L).

I bought this as a beach & sun cover up for a trip to NZ over the holidays. I got a large (normally I wear a M) and the fit was generous without being comical. I love the snap front and the fasteners to hold the rolled up sleeves up – both were very useful.

The side panels and the under arm part of the sleeve panels are of a slightly different material, which bothered me some but I can see how it might be useful or may have made the shirt more comfortable because these panels are of a knit fabric that has some give.

The color was slightly different – I got a white shirt and the panels were slightly darker in some lights – which bothered me some, but the functionality of the shirt far outweighed this quibbling difference.

It did indeed keep my shoulders and arms free of sunburn (without using any sunscreen) and would have protected my d’collage had I actually buttoned the shirt fully over my bathing suit. Can’t wait to take advantage of this UPF shirt next summer!.
