These are nice sharp shears that are well priced. They have a good size and are perfect to replace my old shears which had become dull.

I needed a pair of decent scissors for kitchen use. The price was right on these and they are more heavy duty than the ones you can get free with coupon at the hardware store. Hopefully they don’t rust quickly.

These scissors are recommended by Which? – the only reason not named a Best Buy being the price. However, since I replace kitchen scissors every few years when they become blunted (and cannot be resharpened) I thought these would be a good investment.

They are incredibly sharp cutting through anything with minimal effort. They are also light weight and comfortable to hold.

The scissors were not the main purpose of our purchase. It took us over the free delivery limit but the scissors are very good and we are pleased with them. One can aways make use of a new pair.

Sharp and cuts well. Disappointed as the Thumb hole is uncomfortable if doing lots of cutting. I suspect this is designed this way to cater for the screw top gripper which appears to work well. View is good for occasional cutting but uncomfortable for a lot of cutting , good for gripping caps.

I received the shears yesterday and I discovered a discrepancy in Heritage Steel’s description of the shears. It clearly states that the shears are “DISHWASHER SAFE” and was the reason why I bought them.

However the paperwork from the Seller states otherwise. “Hand wash with warm water. Rinse and dry immediately. DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER. “SO WHICH IS IT?.

I’ve had German and Japanese kitchen shears 3-times this price that made spatchcocking a turkey a huge chore. These Hammer Stahl shears cut through everything. They stay sharp for a long time and are easy to clean and maintain.

Excellent kitchen shears. Larger than most, which helps with bigger tasks, like cutting steak or veggies. Sharp blades, easy to handle. Can be taken apart for the dishwasher. Highly recommended.

Great feel of the thumb and finger slots. I love being able to separate the blades for cleaning. No gaps for bacteria to hide and grow. I use these on poultry and food safety is always a concern. After a month, still sharp and working great.

Awesome Bait Shears. Cuts through Bait like butter. When your filleting a fish and want to cut through a bone and not use your $100 filet knife, grab these and go at it. Just as awesome as Chicken Bone Shears and worth every cent.

This pair of shears is very versatile and sturdy. It cuts paper, cardboard, hard plastic packaging, poultry bones, skin and fat. Also used to cut pizza, hard crusty baguettes, cooked and uncooked meat, produce etc.

They come apart for washing. We let them air dry in separate pieces at work. I hand dry my pair at home just in case they do rust. They are used at work where there are many people with different sized hands.

The handle broke on the first heavy use, it has steel up to the point where your fingers act as a lever but only plastic afterward, so 3/4 of the handles are just plastic and break without much pressure, a designed weak spot.

This makes them pretty much useless for using them for kitchen shears. They will cut herbs and things fine, but not poultry.

I bought these shears in January and having been using them a lot in the kitchen. Great for cutting poultry. Cuts through chicken bones no problem. Only wish I had purchased before the holidays.

This pair of scissors is around the same size as typical kitchen scissors. They are very sharp and comfortable for cutting through tough meat or fish. The handle is comfortable for your hands. The price is a bit higher than you might pay for scissors but Victorinox does not disappoint!.

I was excited to buy some good new all-purpose kitchen scissors that would even cut poultry and Victorinox is a great brand. These aren’t that sharp and don’t cut well. When I tighten the screw, they barely cut and when I loosen it, they fall apart.

I’ve only used them once, but it’s too late to return them. I’m really disappointed.

I wanted a pretty pair of dedicated poultry scissors and separate general use scissors to stick on my knife block. I already purchased some sweet poultry scissors, but was just not happy with any general scissors I found previously.

I finally found these and they are perfect. Heavy and substantial, huge handles. My hands are also huge so despite these having the biggest handle loops I’ve ever seen, I can still only fit three fingers.

Oddly enough modifying my grip to put my middle through pinky in the handles and keep my index finger up above the loop on the angled part before the blades cross actually is fairly comfortable (if not a little weird to get used to at first) and still feels precise (if not more precise than a normal scissors grip) given the unusual shape and design of these scissors.

holding them this way reminds me of how I hold my kitchen knives with a pinch grip in a way. kinda. So finally a pair of scissors my whole hand feels comfortable holding, regardless of whether all fingers are in the loop.

Average hands will most likely fully fit inside the loop, small ones definitely will. If not. holding them the way I am is pretty nice. They look super spiffy, and the side is pretty flat so they stick to my knife block really well.

If you want to put them on a metal knife block the center pin could scratch it if you’re not careful as it protrudes very slightly, but on my wood one it’s not a problem. If your magnets are strong enough you could probably just stick them on above the pin and they would likely hold that way too.

They come apart in a second, and look easy to clean, sharpen, and polish. They cut well enough to tackle just about anything, probably even poultry though they are too pretty to want to put through that kind of abuse.

Think I found my last pair of scissors! Also given the cost of some of the scissors out there, I feel these are priced really well for their quality. Very happy.

Honestly I really wanted to love these scissors but they’re really not that great as the product pictures and reviews led me to believe. good: – they seem to cut pretty well although I haven’t tried them with that many different materials yet bad: – cutting with these scissors makes my hand hurt almost immediately, I thought it might just be my smaller hands (not that small for a woman though) but once my boyfriend tried them he complained about the exact same thing – the handles in my pair are uneven, the other handle is much thinner than the other one and shaped a bit differently – there are a couple of dents in the metal – they’re really noisy when cutting – in the beginning they had a metallic scent that transferred to my hand when cutting which made me initially doubt whether they really were stainless steel or not but the smell seems to have gone away after a week of them being out of the package Also, these are apparently made in Pakistan, or at least that’s what it said on the packaging.

I might give these scissors three stars had I not foolishly paid an arm and a leg for international shipping because I was really set on getting them. I’m beginning to think that what I consider normal scissors are actually great scissors.

I live in Finland and pretty much all the scissors you see here are made by Fiskars. I guess I now see why that might be, haha.

I researched kitchen shears for a few weeks before buying. I almost went with the plastic handle or a cheaper pair. As I opened my garret wade shears I couldn’t help but smile and think these are going to last forever.

My father came over and saw them and told me they remind him of his childhood and the shears his parents had. If that doesn’t appeal to you go buy a cheap pair. These shears are the absolute best on the market in my book.

They are heavy but when you are really using them you need that weight. Couldnt be more impressed or happy with my purchase. My only issue is I was sent a catalog in the package. I have a list of things to buy now.

I wasn’t sure about these come apart shears but they have been working well. Easy to clean, they cut well, and I have even used the bottle opener a couple times. I love a multi-tasker!

These scissors are great to have around your home. They are super helpful for opening up packaging. They are sharp and strong enough to cut through meat, skin and fish! Definitely a great purchase.

I bought these to replace my old Kitchen Aid shears, assuming they would be of the same high quality as my 10 year old pair, which still cut well, just look a little worn and faded. They new ones work fine and weren’t super expensive, so I will keep them but like so many ‘new and improved‘ items, these are lighter weight and the handle is not as squishy and comfortable as before.

These scissors are pretty sharp. They cut through thongs really well. The handles are comfy esp for a lefty. I dont know if they separate for maintenance or not. Yu can spend 100$ on cutco or these for around 10$.

They are a really nice scissor for the money.

I bought this for my friend who needed a replacement after the old one broke. The best feature is being able to take the scissors apart for cleaning and sharpening if needed. The handles are wide enough for large hands, but still comfortable for small hands.

I would buy this again for myself if I need to replace my own scissors.

I ordered the deluxe scissors, in red and black. This means they should come apart for cleaning, the red ones DO NOT! They should not say “deluxe” if they are not. False advertisement on the red pair of scissors, very disappointed.

Also they are not the quality of my original set, the metal is thinner on the new sheers.

Scissors arrived promptly, nicely packaged. These scissors appear to be sturdy but disappointed that they DO NOT separate for thorough cleaning so limited use. Will be looking for the Chicago Cutlery scissors that do separate which I know were made as we already own a pair.

Chicago Cutlery has always been a “cut above the rest” (excuse the pun!), and these shears are no exception. They cut everything cleanly from chives to cardboard. I especially like the fact that they don’t come apart, and they are stainless so rust isn’t an issue.

My only problem is that they seem to disappear, but the price is so fair that I just buy another pair!.

After the kitchen scissors we’d had for years accidentally got thrown away, we looked for a pair of similar, quality, come-apart scissors that were similar (why don’t all kitchen scissors come apart? If I’m going to cut chicken or other meat or open packages of ground beef, I’d like to be able to clean them thoroughly).

We bought one pair that had a decent name that we thought came apart, but they didn’t. We returned them. Then we found the Kitchen Etcetera shears. These scissors are even better than those that they replaced: they close more precisely and are clearly sharper than the now-lost pair were (of course, we hadn’t sharpened them, so that could be part of the story).

They work so smoothly. My only wish? That the bottom of the handle had some kind of coating. The fully metal scissors’ handles could be softer. I may use a tool dip to help with this.

I had these shears for over 25 years and they were as good as always. Used them daily and only claimed warranty because the little red circle kept falling out. I was pleasantly surprised when Zwilling sent new replacements to honor their incredible warranty.

I bought this same model more than a decade ago and kept using it – it was perfect for every household need. After years and years of use, and the fact that I rarely, if ever, sharpened it, the scissors began to be a little dull – this is over about a decade or more.

So I finally bought a new pair, exactly like the previous pair – but I am keeping the previous pair because they are still perfect for opening boxes and other packages that come in the mail. The new pair is like skating on ice – so smooth and easy, when I cut with them.

Maybe I will never give up on the prior pair – this brand of scissors is so long-lasting, I will use them both for the next millennium.

Great shears. Super sharp and high quality. Getting a little rust where the stainless isn’t polished (near the pivot point), but if you dry your tools after washing it shouldn’t be too big of a problem.

I always take apart my shears to clean them anyway, but if you get lazy you might get a little rust build up. A little steel wool should do the trick if this happens.

Superior Japanese scissors! Also can be used as a lid remover, beer bottle opener and jar opener. High quality, should last me my lifetime. So glad I found it.

Both blades are solid metal unlike less expensive models; this enable more force to be used on items difficult to cut. Blades are joined using rivet, which is a disadvantage because it is not very amendable to tightening.

Hammering will tighten but tightness of blades will not last. More adventurous users can drill out the riven and install a bolt and nut to hold the blades together. requires work. Blade is 2mm thick.

Deceptively presented as shears, but really nothing more than a routine pair of scissors. There’s no “notch in the blade for cutting chicken bones or small wire. ” That feature was important to me, indicating a product that would serve more heavy duty needs.

The appearance of serrated blade is also deceptive because it’s just a decorative effect and doesn’t extend to the cutting edge. The business end is just a pair of straight metal blades sliding against each other — common scissors.

For scissors, it’s ok, but I didn’t need another pair of scissors.

These are great inexpensive multi purpose scissors, I have them all over the house.

I collect fine German, Austrian and Swiss made “instruments”. Germany has sought out simplistic function with the highest quality with long experience in metallurgy. This has been a way of life for them including a law for the standard quality of their beer.

Those who’ve ever closed the door on a Porsche 911 know what this is. I received these shears today and was surprised. I don’t know if, “cheap” is an appropriate word here, but these are certainly the lowest quality in their range.

After verifying that they are labeled as made in Germany, I noticed the carbon steel slotted screw which holds the blades together behind the red logo-hinge (see attached photo). The shears are very light.

The blades appear to be stamped from sheet metal. The handle feels very light and brittle. After all these disappointments, I read the packaging, which reads, “The TWIN L series was awarded the IF Design Award by the Industrie Forum Design Hannover, Germany.

” This can’t be true.

The plastic used for the handles feels solid and there is some definite weight to the blades that I like. There is no visible gap between the blades. I added them to my wooden block I purchased making them my quick go-to scissors while cooking.

We have had a block with an array of knives and scissor for. thirty years and love them for their sharpness. My husband “borrowed” the scissors for a project which needed some serious scissor power and consequently ruined the sharpness of the blades.

We limped along for awhile ’til desperation and frustration won out. I now have your new scissors and am so happy. so is my knife block. it let out an “ahhh” when the new scissors nestled into its spot.
