20 Best Keyboard For Amazon Fire Stick (2023 Updated)

Logitech really killed any positive feelings I had about them in one night. Found out they deleted my one-star verified review last night so I’m going to keep posting this until they keep it up. My original review: “I only post reviews when I have an amazing or terrible experience with a product.

This is the latter. I recently obtained a new Mac Mini and this keyboard (the Logitech MX Keys Mini). While setting up the Mac Mini, it came time to connect a keyboard with it or else you cannot complete the setup.

I was really excited to use this keyboard until I found out they did not include a USB unifying receiver. This wasn’t the case of a missing part—I later found out that none of the MX Keys Minis come with a USB unifying receiver.

Why? This is such a useful feature, especially when Bluetooth doesn’t work. “No matter,” I thought. I’ll just try to connect the MX Keys Mini via Bluetooth—except it couldn’t be found by Bluetooth. Figures.

I even tried connecting the MX Keys Mini with the charging cable thinking that would work. It didn’t. How can Logitech charge $100 for a keyboard and NOT have multiple ways of connecting that keyboard to a computer? And how can you get rid of such a useful feature like the universal USB unifying receiver?! So, because this keyboard could not connect to my new computer, I was locked out of finishing the setup because there’s no way of continuing the setup without a keyboard input.

It just so happens that I had a second Logitech keyboard on hand—the Logitech Ergo K860. And this one actually came with the USB unifying receiver. Thank god right? No. The USB unifying receiver didn’t work.

Really? How can you mess up something as simple as a USB connecting device. I then tried connecting the Ergo K860 via Bluetooth, but this also could not be found. So I had $230 worth of new, premium Logitech keyboards that could not work with setting up a new computer—a common Mac.

None of these keyboards came with a backup way of connecting to the computer rendering them useless. The only way I could finish setting up my new computer was with a cheap $30 keyboard from a separate brand.

Logitech, get your act together. ” I really can’t believe Logitech deleted this review. Thankfully I saved their confirmation email to prove this was submitted and verified on October 23, 2021. So I’m going to keep posting this until they keep it up.

I had a lot of positive experiences with Logitech in the past, but they really killed any positive feelings I had for their brand and their products based on last night.

This keyboard will replace my aging K810, which, in my eyes, was perfection in a keyboard if they had included the Unifying receiver for it. Fast forward what seems like 10 years, and Logi finally came out with a replacement, the MX Mini.

It has a similar feel to the venerable 810, but is reasonably heavier. The keys are slightly lighter in touch than the 810, so I prefer the 810’s feedback more. The bad news, is that some unfortunate product decisions were made.

First, they did not make this keyboard compatible with the Unifying receiver. That would have enabled most users to maintain their current Logi ecosystem. However, they also did not include the new Bolt receiver.

Given that the full size MX is the same price, one would think that the low overhead of including the Bolt receiver would be easily justified. I strongly suggest including the receiver in future iterations of this product.

The second odd choice is the strange F keys, which also default to the icons of each key vs the F functions. Including emoji keys is just strange, most software automatically accommodates emoji use already, no need for hardware to trigger it.

However, at least they include the volume control, delete, and brightness keys. If they begin to migrate all of their product over to the Bolt receiver, then this keyboard could be their greatest triumph.

I still have my old 810 in use on another computer, but when it finally fails, I know what will replace it. Finally, Logitech support has always been reasonably prompt, so I feel comfortable spending $100 on a keyboard from a known source, vs the oddball products with oddball brand names sold elsewhere.

Just include the receiver guys, it’s silly not to.

This keyboard does not work with Photoshop 2021 on M1 Macs. The crown cannot be used for Photoshop-specific tasks. End of story. Logitech released a patch for Windows to fix similar issues, but there is no similar support for Mac.

The beta version of Logi Options (the app that controls this keyboard’s functionality) which was built for M1 does not support this keyboard either. Logi Options running in Rosetta 2 is buggy at best, uses a shocking amount of memory when running, and requires periodic reinstallation to restore basic functionality.

According to Logitech’s forums, these are incredibly common complaints. I really like the keyboard otherwise, and I was excited to incorporate the crown into my workflow. Unfortunately this keyboard simply does not function as advertised on Mac.

If you’re a photographer/creative whose made the jump to M1, do yourself a favor and get a different keyboard. You won’t have any less functionality.

In less than 2 years of normal use my Keyboard no longer holds charge and must be wired to work. I also have many of the same connectivity issues as others who have commented here. I have spend the last month speaking with the bots at Logi customer service about fixing my Craft Advanced Wireless Keyboard, and they just waste your time until you go away.

On their site they claim that this is a “Premium” device and the price reflects that, however there is absolutely no premium support and they do not stand behind their products after one year of use.

Typically when you buy a high end or professional device it comes with the peace of mind that they will stand behind their product for its lifecycle. This is why Logi should not be considered a premium maker of keyboards and mice.

I hope this helps others avoid Logitech.

A very pleasant typing experience. It’s nice and compact with good switches and can connect to 3 different devices which is great. Also works in wired mode. Definitely better than an Apple magic keyboard.

The battery life could be better, but is by no means bad (with full brightness RGB backlight on). The backlight is not as bright as it probably should be, but if the room is dark its easy to see.

Brown switches are tactile and the noise is low, great quality, easy to hot swap caps and switches. The weight feels nice and the charge lasts long enough to forget about it. Looks awesome. Save yourself the headache and make sure you’ve set it to the correct Mac/Windows with the little switch on the top left.

Bluetooth did freak-out once, but that could have been due to multiple reasons and has otherwise been solid in staying connected and responsiveness.

I personally like the streamlined design compared with the k2 I also own. It does however make it easier to bump the lower corner keys which can get annoying. The Bluetooth connection can take a few seconds to initiate between waking and typing which can also get annoying.

You end up hitting the space bar a few times to ensure it’s awake. These aren’t deal breakers but things I’d want fixed before I gave 5 stars.

Ordered direct from Microsoft. After 8 months daily use, the dongle went out suddenly; killing both the mouse & keyboard. No recovery, no replacement dongle. Odd because it never moved from my desk. MS is unsupportive; website is unhelpful.

“Contact us” Call tree is circular & pushes you to website. Only way to reach an agent is a phone number embedded deep in the order history, agent creates a ticket & then hangs up. No easy way to identify the dongle has failed until after too many hours on troubleshooting blogs attempting to recover use of overpriced keyboard.

I do not recommend this product. Average size male hand – The mouse is too small for average hand & design falls short of ergonomic; 3rd & 4th fingers do not rest & strain by end of day. Same with keyboard – the high curve on left side causes 3rd & 4th fingers to hover, never resting while typing.

strain & swelling occurs after several months of use. The battery life is good & separate 10 key is a nice feature but save your time & fingers & select another option.

UPDATE October 2016 After less than a year of use the left mouse button stopped working properly. It clicks but the click doesnt always register and I often have to try several times to get it to work.

This issue renders this mouse useless. On top of that the Windows button on the mouse stopped giving any click feedback, although it still works if I press it strong enough. Ive used my previous Logitech keyboardmouse combo for more than 4 years.

This one is falling apart in less than a year. I have mixed feelings about this keyboardmouse combo. I give the mouse 2. 5 stars and the keyboard 3. 5 stars so 3 stars average. I had the original MS Natural Elite and then I moved to the Logitech split keyboard Cordless Desktop Comfort Laser.

Unfortunately Logitech stopped making split keyboards some years ago, so I changed to their Wave keyboard, which never felt as comfortable. I bought the Sculpt a bit more than a month ago and now I am getting used again to split keyboards I hope that it will feel as natural as the previous split keyboards I had so far I dont feel as comfortable with it.

I hope it is just a matter of timeMouse 2. 5 StarsThere is nothing special about the mouse. It is just an average mouse, not a particularly good one. I didnt find it any more ergonomic or comfortable than my previous mouse a Logitech M705 and I am bit less accurate with this mouse.

The 2 side buttons are pretty bad They are less customizable than those on Logitech mice, and you have to press them in a particular way otherwise the click doesnt register Also, if I am selecting a large paragraph of text it will sometimes lose the selection and I will have to start from the beginning.

Keyboard 3. 5 StarsPros It looks good The keys feel nice, like nice laptop keys. The separate number pad is something positive for me, since I rarely use it. I like the split layout the main reason I bought it.

it is wireless. I hate wires and this is the only widely available wireless split keyboard. Cons No dedicated media buttons I solved this problem, see bellow The layout is cramped on the right side. They tried to make it as compact as possible, but this comes at the cost of usability.

I often press the wrong key if I try to press e. g. one of the arrow keys without looking. The soft arm rest feels nice but it seems to be somewhat absorbent like a cloth and it gets dirty easily and you cant just wipe it clean The Ctrl key gets virtually stack every now and then.

I have to press it again to make the keyboard work properly. This is VERY annoying. The software offers very limited customization of the keys. The function keys are actually buttons and they dont feel as nice.

Not a huge problem for me. This keyboard wins points for being the only widely available wireless split keyboard. If you want a wireless ergonomic keyboard then this keyboard has very little competition and you should try it.

But if you are not looking specifically for an ergonomic keyboard then I will suggest to stay away because this keyboard has several issues. Avoid the mouse unless the keyboardmouse combo is less than 15 more expensive than the keyboard only option.

The mouse in my opinion doesnt worth more than 15. only problem is that then you will need to use 2 different USB receiversPersonally I would have returned this product especially after the Ctrl key started getting stack but I stayed with it because of the lack of alternatives for this sort of keyboards.

Regarding the media buttons I use the free program AutoHotkey and AudioSwitch for the audio, but everything can be done with just AutoHotkey to remap certain keys. So now the Pause button acts as a playpause toggle, the ScrLk button acts as a next track, PgUp PgDn are Volume UP Down and Insert is a Mute toggle.

This way I never need to use the function keys switch. I used AudioSwitch to remap the sound related functions volume up down mute because I already had that program and it gives you an indication on the screen when you are increasing decreasing the volume or muting, which I believe AutoHotkey doesnt.

Dont overthink, dont read more reviews, this is it, this is THE keyboard. Ive tried all other Microsoft ergonomic keyboards, including the latest surface ergonomic, but this one beats them all. Pros Extremely comfortable to type on it, its just a pleasure, difficult to describe.

Key travel distance is optimal, somewhat between a laptop keyboard and a normal keyboard. The key switches are fantastic, and Ive used mechanical keyboards as well, but these ones just feel absolutely perfect to me Ultra quiet.

If you like quiet keyboards this is also your choice. But still the sounds it produces its really nice, many people has already told me in the office, how soft Even if you are not used to ergonomic keyboards it doesnt take too long to get used to this one.

Once you are used to it, you will see that your typing speed will experience a significant increase. In my case I went from 100 Words per minute to 120. You can measure this with any of the available test on the internet, just google that.

Its compact and thats pretty cool as well, so some of the keys are now closer than in a standard layout, which saves you time and increase your productivity. E. g. Pg UpDown, HomeEnd, Insert. and also the Delete key is bigger now, which I find really useful.

Cons You cannot buy the keyboard separately, it comes with the numpad and the mouse even if you dont use them like me if you are a hardcore numpad user you may find uncomfortable to have it separated from the rest of the keyboard.

But this could be an advantage at the same time as you can place it wherever you want. It doesnt come with Bluetooth, which means you have to spend one of your USB ports to plug the receiver that comes with the keyboard.

This also means that you cannot use the mousenumpad in another PC.

A small clean keyboard, I was hesitant about getting round keys but they’re actually pleasant, a good size for me and my small hands, and it’s more thumpy than clacky sounding, which is fine, but preferably would like it quieter.

Like as quiet as possible. I specifically wanted this keyboard because I wanted the function (fn) key in the bottom left corner, as I am used to on my laptop. But guess what? It doesn’t really do anything.

I’m used to hitting fn+delete to forward delete and I can not get it to do that. I tried installing logitech’s LogiOptions+ so I can customize keys, and I can only customize f4, f5, f6, and f7 keys. Bummer!!! Apparently forward delete is ctrl+d which.

well the whole point was so I could continue with the shortcuts I am used to.

The device is perfection. I LOVE the sound it makes when typing. It’s easier than my MacBook to type on, and smaller than the other wireless keyboard I had. I LOVE that it’s bluetooth, which means I DON’T need to keep a use mountain of extentions just to connect the charger and the keyboard and the mouse to the 1 USB outlet.

So now about the setup. CONNECTING TO MACBOOK: Honestly, I skipped the part where it said “HOLD FOR 3 SECONDS”. Because the instructions are very minimal, you have to look at all the words in the photo to discover that when you press the F1, F2 or F3 button, you have to hold it down 3 seconds.

Then the bluetooth will recognize your keyboard. Then the MacBook will prompt you to enter a 6 digit code on your new keyboard. (This part is not in the instructions). After that, you will prompted to tap on the 2 keys directly next to your left and right “SHIFT” key.

These are NOT on the instruction sheet, but the computer will prompt you in following this flow. CONNECTING TO IPAD PRO: I had issues here, just about 45 minutes worth. At first I could not get the bluetooth on my iPad to pair with the keyboard.

I held the F2 key down 3 seconds, the keyboard was found on the bluetooth list, when I tapped on the keyboard option on my iPad and entered the 6 digit code, nothing happened. I did this several times and even watched a few YT videos.

LOL On one video the guy mentioned having an iPad Pro. So this made me wonder if I had a Pro. (I do, but this should not matter. ) I then noticed I had a 14. # update so I did that. and by the time it restarted and I was ready to connect again I convinced myself I will never use this keyboard with the iPad so I’m only trying this again 2 x max.

So here is attempt # 147. I even tried F3 to see if that would connect and nothing. I turned off the bluetooth on my MacBook to see if that was intercepting the “signal”, and nothing. Finally the last time I tried I held the F2 button down 3 seconds, Bluetooth recognized the keyboard, I entered the 6 digit code and in the heat of the moment I hit and BOOM that connected it! LOL So the instructions don’t tell that, but it’s very important you hit enter.

On the MacBook the screen prompts told you to hit enter and as you are entering the 6 digit code, it shows on the screen that it is recognizing each number individually until you get to the part where is has you hit “enter”.

But on the iPad there is no guidance.

(As part of the Best Buy Tech Insider Network program, I was provided a Logitech K380 for Mac unit in exchange for an honest review. ) Logitech released this variant of their existing K380 keyboard with a tweaked layout specialized for Apple Mac computers (it also works well for iOS and iPadOS mobile devices).

One of the key features of both this and the general K380 model is the multi-device support, which allows the easy toggling between up to 3 different devices that the keyboard can be bound to via Bluetooth.

Binding is very easy to do, and I found the Bluetooth connection to be completely stable. Although Logitech aims this keyboard particularly at Mac users, iPhones and iPads also work great. Beyond that, I tested and confirmed the K380 for Mac also works reasonably well with Windows PC’s – though beware, the relative positions of the Alt (Opt) and Windows (Cmd) keys are flipped from the standard PC layout.

(Even the Logi Options software doesn’t allow switching the functions of these keys, though it allows customization of some of the function keys. Unlike the standard K380, the keys are also not dual-labeled with both functions.

) If you would primarily use this with Apple devices, rest assured you could still use it with a PC or Android device in a pinch; but otherwise you might prefer the standard K380. They keyboard itself is quite compact.

It would definitely appeal to people that enjoy a clean (even spartan) desk. Alternately, its size makes it a great candidate to keep off to the side of a desk, ready to use with virtually any secondary device (phone, tablet, or laptop) for heavier typing.

Unfortunately, the compact size is requiring some adjustment for me. It all feels slightly more cramped than most keyboards I’m used to – the keys don’t seem smaller, but it does seem the pitch between keys is slightly less.

It may only be around 1mm less intra-key spacing, but it’s noticeable to me. My final verdict is that the K380 is a decent keyboard for the price, particularly if it’s a supplemental keyboard to use with more than one phone or tablet as an alternative to the on-screen keyboard for writing longer pieces.

If the minimalistic look appeals to you (and you’re not worried about adjusting to a layout that might be slightly smaller), it can also serve as a nice primary keyboard. This Mac-specific edition is most appealing for using with Apple products.

It does work with other brands of devices pretty well, too, though I think it would be a good improvement to add further customizability for this model to the Logi Options software on Windows.

There’s just something about the Apple Magic Keyboard that makes typing and using shortcuts for tasks a pleasure. I’m not an Apple aficionado or welded to Apple products but typing on this keyboard has been designed to feel effortless – and that’s been my experience.

The keys have just enough ‘give’ and the shortcuts just work. I bought the full-sized keyboard because I use applications that require me to enter numbers everyday and the numbers section just works for me.

This is a stylish keyboard that, yes, is more expensive than alternative brands but it feels like a keyboard that’s been built to last and is well designed even to the point it’s easier to clean than ‘traditional’ keyboards with less chance of crumbs etc getting between the spaced surrounding they Keys because the keys are flush in place.

In short, it doesn’t feel clunky or cheap as other keyboards do. Finally- if you have a MacBook or iPad the Bluetooth connection and battery life between charges are flawless. A note on my experience of buying this from John Lewis – delivered on time, I was kept fully up to date and the purchasing experience, as you would expect, was top-notch and professional.

Why, oh why do I have to be an Apple fanboy? It’s so unattractive. But look. As a MacBook Pro user who has his laptop hooked up to a monitor, I do need an external keyboard. After Apple ditched the wired version, I refused to indulge them on their wireless shenanigans, and went for a third party product.

Big surprise: It’s not as good. Not as expensive, for sure, but saving forty dollars is not a bargain if you’re constantly unhappy. And keys that won’t respond, or are in the SLIGHTLY wrong position, or don’t give your fingertips the right feedback, are like a pebble in your shoe.

Gotta spring for the real deal. So far, it’s still running on its first charge, so I can’t even really complain about the wireless thing. You win again, evil empire.

I heard about OWC selling the same Magic keyboards as Apple, but for less. I called to confirm. Yup. OWC bought in bulk and packages them in brown cardboard. I’ve had mine for a few months. I am absolutely satisfied and saved money by purchasing through OWC.

Why anyone would pay Apple’s full price is a mystery to me. Mine is the full size with number pad at the right. OWC has similar savings on the smaller version. Help spread the word to anyone you know who might want one.

For example, family and friends who are going to buy a Mac laptop like I did, or a Mac mini. IMPORTANT – These have TouchID, so they can be used with the lid closed on MacBooks connected to an external monitor.

First and foremost, the keyboard is awesome. I have been a lifelong mechanical keyboard user and recently had to switch something that was less “clicky” and also allowed me to switch between multiple machines.

To that end the MX Keys has been a great move for me. I also purchased the MX Master 3 mouse because of the need to move between multiple machines. These are both high quality items. My biggest problem with this setup is that there is no way to pair the mouse and keyboard together so that they switch from machine to machine together.

What this means is that if I need to switch from “Machine 1” to “Machine 2” I have to push the “Machine 2” button on the keyboard and select “Machine 2” on the mouse separately. I have read some articles that say this behavior can be achieved with the Logitech Flow application, but I don’t have the ability to install that software on all machines so it won’t work.

This is becoming a big enough hassle for me that I am considering buying a USB Switch and going back to a wired setup. All and all if you can deal with the issue pointed out above (or it isn’t something you are concerned about / doesn’t apply to you) then this is a great purchase.

But my 4000 died a few days ago, and I was sad to see it is no longer made by Microsoft. It has been replaced by several other models, but with without the Star Programmable keys. So I went to Best Buy and tried out five or six keyboards.

The closest replacement for my 4000 appeared to be the wired Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard priced at $45. But I wanted the best keyboard I could buy, and the Logitech ERGO K860 was $130, so I figured if it cost three times as much, it must be a MUCH better keyboard.

It was comfortable to use, and the back of the package said it had programmable F keys, so even it didn’t have any unassigned programmable keys, I thought I could program the F keys to call up documents and websites like my Microsoft 4000 did.

So I bought the K860. I hooked it up at home and tried to figure out how to program the keys. There were no instructions in the package. I went online to the manufacturer’s website to download instructions, which said the function of the F keys could be changed to other choices, but did not say they were programmable.

It just had a list of other commands you could change the key to perform. So for example, the F1 key, which normally brings up Word Help, could be changed to one of several other specified operations, such as printing a document, or displaying your email or calculator, etc, but there was no option to call up a specific document or perform a macro like you could do on the 4000.

I called the ERGO help line to find out how to program the keys, and they said, “Sorry, you can switch the function of the F keys to the alternate listed choices, but you can’t program to do something else.

” So I returned the ERGO to Best Buy, and got a polite refund with no questions asked. I bought the $45 Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, which also said on the back of the package that it had programmable keys.

I was please to see that indeed it in addition to the F keys, it has three more unassigned keys that are fully programmable, just like the keys on the 4000 were (although the 4000 had five of those).

And this keyboard is just as comfortable to use as the ERGO at 1/3 the price! The only advantage I can see with the K860 is that it is wireless, but I prefer wired because there are no batteries to fail and a wired connection is always better than wireless.

By the way, the new $45 Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard is more comfortable with better key feel than my old 4000, so I am delighted with the new Microsoft keyboard. But if you want a wireless keyboard, don’t need to program your keys, and don’t mind paying $130 bucks for a keyboard no better than a $45 keyboard, go for it!.

I was pleasantly surprised that the wrist rests were comfortable and well designed. My wrists were positioned with no effort needed to “hold” my hands / wrists by the keyboard. And my hands just lie naturally without having to bring my elbows closer together, as before.

Now, my elbows are comfortably placed on my desk, shoulder-width apart. One thing I miss is the “right-mouse” click key that was on my other keyboards. It was easy to hit the “context” key to bring up the options that a right key would normally be displayed: spell checking, options for highlighted text or selected objects.

Another I have, unrelated to this particular keyboard, is “feeling” the slight bump on the “F” and “J” keys to let my fingers “know” where the rest of keyboard keys are located. I could no longer fell this slight “built-in” bump.

What I did was to punch out a piece of that thin (1/32″) Styrofoam sheeting used in shipping. I punched out two dots with a paper punch and, with some double stick tapes, stuck them on to the two keys.

These keys now have a very soft, palpable finger repositioning guide. Now, IF I can just find a mouse that _I_ can use. The semi-vertical mice would probably work well — but only for folks who, unlike me, have a thumb on their right hand.

Currently, the ONLY mouse that can work for me is the Logitech MU0007 mouse where I can pretty much cover and control my mouse without needing a thumb to grab the mouse to move it. I to have to work around accidentally squeezing the “thumb buttons” on the left side of the mouse.

Because my hand is so far “over” the mouse, this is generally not an issue; there is enough of gentle curve on the left side of the mouse my. thumb-stub can grab the back half of the mouse. Also, the semi-rubberized cover on the side helps alot.

My index and middle fingers can depress the left and right mouse buttons that make up the top shell of the mouse — as well as using the scroll wheel.

My experience with my brother’s Microsoft LXM-00001 showed me that the ergonomic layout can be very comfortable, but there is a learning curve.

It takes some time to get used to the new layout and your typing speed can take a temporary dip during this phase. When I finally got the Logitech K860, the quality just stood out from the moment I opened the box.

The keyboard is extremely sturdy and has very little flex. The built-in write rest is a well-thought bonus. In addition to providing comfort, it helps me keep my hands stable, even at high typing speeds.

This helps me prevent mistakes I make when I move my hands too much. The keys are not mechanical but have a decent travel distance and the right actuation force for my taste. The keys are also extremely quiet so I don’t feel guilty pecking away at 100 words per minute even though I know people are working nearby.

This was a nightmare when I once experimented with a mechanical keyboard with cherry blue switches. They are extremely loud. I use the keyboard on both mac and windows and so far there was no compatibility issues.

When the computer goes to sleep, the keyboard turns itself off to save battery but immediately fires back up at the stroke of a single keystroke. Everything about the keyboard speaks of Logitech’s quality, the sturdy keys, the built quality of the keyboard and the stability of typing experience.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is willing invest in a good quality keyboard for long-term usage.

Needed to replace my keyboard and after some research decided to check out the MX Keys full-size wireless keyboard. Keyboards are very subjective, but I was specifically looking for something with low-profile, flat, quiet keys and this truly exceeded my expectations.

The backlit keys are the feature you always wanted but never knew you needed! Having owned several Logitech keyboards over the years, this one is in a class of its own — the build is solid, it pairs with 3 devices, and you can remap most of the Fn keys.

And this is a cool feature — if you copy/cut text using keyboard commands (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + X), you can then paste the selection (Ctrl + V) into one of your paired devices. (I knew this feature worked with an MX mouse, but I don’t have one and was surprised to learn it worked with just the keyboard) Typing on the MX Keyboard is pure joy — by comparison, the other Logitech keyboards I’ve owned feel like pure junk.

I actually look forward to typing. It’s a real game changer. So why only 4 stars? Two reasons. First is Logitech’s software. They have made (some) improvements, but overall it is still a hot mess and I’m not feeling so great about the security of the Unifying receiver (my M650 mouse came with the new Logi Bolt which is far more secure).

Both the M650 and the MX Keys also pair via Bluetooth, but I was having some trouble getting it to pair. because, Logitech. Ultimately, I ended up trading up to the MX Keys for Business version which comes with the Logi Bolt receiver and is also Bluetooth compatible.

They keyboards are nearly identical (one or two Fn keys are different) but the additional security was important to me and is also something that most IT departments will support if you want to pair the keyboard with your work laptop.

If you need to replace your keyboard or are looking to upgrade, this should definitely be among your top choices.

The keyboard is great. I love the feel of the keys. Most Important I find the backlighting the biggest feature. The inclusion of backlighting on Logi keyboards keeps me using them over the Apple Keyboards.

The Mac Studio M1 Max machine is a beast. I am running Mac OS playing 4k Apple TV video and playing a racing game in Apple Arcade. This in Parallel(s) to a Windows 11 Virtual Machine running the DIRT video game in Steam while steaming 4k Video on Youtube in Microsoft Edge.

While this is going on I am running a Fedora Linux Virtual machine streaming 4k YouTube video in Firefox browser while running a SNES emulator playing Super Mario Kart. Granted you can’t simultaneously play 3 games at once but at any point I could mouse over to any of the games.

Click into the window to bring that game to the forefront and resume playing with the Bluetooth connected PS4 controller. With all of this going on I saw no blips in ANY rendered windows. I had 2 monitors hooked up so I could see all items running simultaneous in Mac OS and Windows.

I had to swipe over to the Linux screen to see that performance. EVERYTHING ran smooth as butter and ready for this >> using 34-48 % CPU, 25GB of 32GB of Memory (Windows VM used 11GB). My system monitor showed 125 degrees (F) across all cores.

Energy used was 25 watts! An equivalent Intel based iMac Machine running half of what I was running tonight would have been spinning all fans at full power and bogging down. During my tests the RPMs were reported at 1300 RPMs and I don’t hear a thing.

Hats off to Apple and their design of Apple Silicon. Now if their Software Team could deliver at the level that the Hardware team does then Apple would be untouchable.

So I recently purchased a Satechi Slim X1 to use with my iPad Pro. It is a great keyboard with some flaws that I did not fully realize until I decided to give the Magic Keyboard a try. So far it turns out that the features on the Satechi that I thought would be dealbreakers (e.

g,, the backlighting; pairing with multiple devices) were actually features that ended up not being such a big deal. In fact, the backlighting on the Satechi is kind of messy looking, and after more than a month of using it, the multiple device pairing was not being used as much.

As I have been working on becoming proficient with iPad keyboard shortcuts, it turns out that having a proper Globe key is much more practical that having to map the Caps Lock key on the Satechi. Also, I LOVE that the Magic Keyboard has a dedicated Do Not Disturb and device lock button.

As I am using my iPad for screen mirroring when training people, this makes it super easy and convenient to deactivate the iPad’s notifications so that trainees do not see my personal alerts showing up on the projector screen.

Also, the keys feel a little “tighter” than they do on the Satechi, which to me is a good thing. I realized that Apple’s scissor switches felt great when I tried out an iPad Magic Keyboard at a local Costco.

Such a great feel from a thing keyboard! I think I’ll keep the Magic Keyboard and return the Satechi.

Compra verificada Too expensive? You betcha. Quality product? Oh yeah. There is a lot to like about the Magic Keyboard for 5th Gen. iPad Pros. It’s a solid, well-built product that is probably too expensive by half, but I’m pretty sure anyone who purchases one knows that going in.

Keyboard: The keyboard is pretty-great all around. I use my M1 MacBook Pro on a daily basis, and while typing on this doesn’t feel quite identical, it isn’t far off. The key travel is really great and the space/size is perfect.

I wish it had a row of function keys, alas. Trackpad: The trackpad is nice enough. It is very responsive both in terms of moving the cursor and clicking on apps and tasks. I do wish that more apps utilized gestures and features of the Magic Keyboard, but I can’t really fault the product for that.

It’s not MacOS, after all. Quality: I really like the quality of this keyboard. It is slightly thicker than the previous gen keyboard to accommodate the slightly thicker 5th gen iPad Pro. It feels sturdy when the iPad is attached and I THINK it leans a little further back than the previous gen, which is nice.

Overall, I like this product a lot. At the end of the day, if you’re thinking that attaching this overpriced keyboard to the M1 iPad Pro is going to replace your laptop, that’s probably not the case unless you’re just surfing the web or using Amazon to shop.

iPadOS is still the limiting factor in allowing an iPad to be an out-and-out alternative to a conventional laptop. That said, the Magic.

I read and watched many reviews on the Logitech MX Key Mini and the Apple Magic Keyboard. The Logi does have more features: Supports more than one device, and has backlighting. At the store I tried both hands on.

I purchased the Magic. Now at home I have been using it for several hours. I must point out that I have the excellent Logi K810, and I also own three Logi mice – great products. What I can say is that typing on the Magic is like “magic” for me.

I hardly notice I am typing at all on a keyboard. It is like I am typing away on a cloud. As far as backlighting: The laptop monitor actually casts enough light on the Magic for me to be able to see the keys when I need.

Last but not least, I did not have a need for multi device support – I wanted to be Apple centric when using the Air. I recommend the Magic for four reasons: In my case the typing experience is awesome, native Apple function support for all keys, the keyboard form factor is beautiful, and my Air connects seamlessly and almost instantaneously.

Excellent product – hope it will last as most Apple products do.

Pairing: I bought the keyboard to use with my Nexus 9 (android) tablet. Out of the box pairing was a breeze and following the instructions on the slip sheet it took <1min to pair with my tablet. While writing this review I also paired it with my phone (Nexus 5) with equal ease.

As advertised it was easy to switch between the two without re-pairing by selecting the proper “device button” at the top of the keyboard. Functionality: One of the reasons I selected this keyboard over others was because it is adaptive to different OS’s and would allow for full use of the different function keys with my device.

So far I have found all of the special keys to function properly with my Nexus 9, these include the “home” button, the button that allows you to toggle through different windows, the “back” button and the audio short cut butttons.

So far I have found the use of these convenient while browsing. Additionally, traditional short cuts like “F5” to referesh and “ctrl+C” & “ctrl+V” to copy and paste also work. To me this is a definite plus as sometimes the copy and paste operations can be tricky with a touch screen and no keyboard.

Typing Experience: I am a fairly proficient typist who can type by touch without looking at the keys and I find that I can type at my normal rate with this keyboard without having to slow down due to its size.

I find the size to be big enough to allow you to type comfortably while also being compact enough that it could easily be put in a bag and taken with you if you are on the go. When typing the keys are fairly quiet and have a nice feel to the key press.

One of my main trepidations with this product was the round keys, but I haven’t found them to have any impact on the typing experience. In fact the keys are nice and concave making it easy for your fingers to rest on them as opposed to the flat style keys that some products use.

Overall Impressions: I find the keyboard to be solid and good quality and would highly recommend it. I mainly use it with my tablet while sitting on the couch and have found it to be comfortable to use while setting on my lap.

The size makes it comfortable to use on a regular basis while still being easily portable and the compatibility of the different function keys makes it easy and convenient to use with Android devices.

The goods: Simple multi-device switch. It does take a bit for it to reconnect, but it’s fast enough at the tap of a button. Multiple keys are registered when clicked (great for gaming). Universally compatible-I’ve tried it with macbook, imac, windows laptop, windows desktop, and ipad.

Having a single volume key that is recognized by all these devices is great! It’s got some weight to it. I’m not sure if it’s artificial or real, but that little bit of weight helps in making it feel less cheap.

The bads and other notes:The arrow keys are a bit too small. there are enough real estate to increase the size. It’s honestly a bit annoying if you need it for games, but otherwise manageable. The ctrl key is on the outside (to the left of the fn key).

Not really a bad thing, but it will be a pain to hit ctrl+t for people with smaller hands! It’s uncomfortable even for my big hand haha. Lastly, this keyboard is slightly smaller than the average 60% keyboard.

TL:DR: Typing is great (still 100-120 wpm; small brag haha), weight is great, multi device switch is great. Small arrow keys bad.

FINALLY! Now there is “ONE KEYBOARD TO RULE THEM ALL” – at a significantly lower price. A bluetooth keyboard that I can use for 3 devices (and do so seamlessly)! I already had multiple bluetooth keyboards (pricey Apple brand) throughout the house.

I like to use them for my iPhone, iPad, and various smart TVs. I can reply to emails/texts as a touch typist so much more readily when I’m watching tv in the living room; I can log on to various streaming platforms when required after updates, and connect with friends on social media in the living room while hubby watches sports! I recently had surgery and now I don’t have to use a walker to go to another room when I need my bluetooth keyboard.

WIN WIN for me! I have a side table in my living room and store the keyboard there when not in use.

Replacing another keyboard(they are not spill-resistant) for my 2012 iMac. I was surprised the price had jumped from $79 to $99. It was not until I got home and noticed the keyboard was slightly different.

that I did more research. This keyboard is compatible with macOS 11. 3 or higher and the M1 chip. (my 21. 5” iMac runs 10. 4) If Apple announced they were updating the design and no longer providing this accessory for older devices, I missed the news.

And I still needed a working keyboard. The $129 Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad is still available for older devices. Yes, that’s $50 more than the shorter keyboard but it’s only you can decide if its worth the investment.

The good news is the 11. 3 and higher version carries a $199 price tag, And if matching your accessories to your device is not important, you can look for a third party keyboard. I am giving this item a rating because although I made the error in selection: I hold Apple accountable too.

Apple needs to keep in mind not all its customers replace the old with new devices each season. Nor do we like being inconvenienced by lack of communication.

I am Full-time Engineering college student who likes to play games on my free time or days off. I mostly use my computer for everything such as writing essays/reports, complex math homework all the way to playing Ranked on Apex Legends.

I had the issue of wanting a fast keyboard for gaming but then having a good in between for typing. I originally bought the Razer Huntsman TE as it was $70 on sale. I used tactile switches before but started to outgrow that style of switches.

Once I tried the linear on the Huntsman TE, I fell in love with linear. The issue was with that keyboard, it sucked for typing, I wrote a whole essay with that keyboard, and it was like driving a sport bike on a road full of ice.

I looked at BestBuy’s Website and saw this one but $150 on sale had me on edge as that was a lot of money for a keyboard. After multiple reviews and YouTube Videos I decided to pull the trigger and buy it.

I do not have any buyer’s remorse after doing so. The ability to set the Actuation to anything between 0. 4 to 3. 6 is incredible. You can do it from the mini-OLED screen on the board, so no software is required.

Now I can go all the way to the lowest level and play games and be super-fast with movements (Even faster than the Huntsman line of keyboard from Razer) or increase the Actuation distance for when I’m typing so I don’t have any mistypes.

The included Wrist Rest is okay but not razer quality. The Cable is not braided which Razer spoiled me where everything they sell with a cable is braided. The size of this board is however very reasonable and not huge.

My wrist does not get uncomfortable typing on this. The above-board key design or style helps with easier cleaning. Hopefully my scenario and experience help most of you make a choice. I am basing my value score on the price that I paid.

I really recommend buying it on a sale!.

This keyboard came at no additional charge with my last Dell XPS 4 years ago. When it stopped working recently, I ordered another to replace it. It was a pleasant surprise the same model was still in stock.

I used an older Dell keyboard I had sitting around while waiting for the replacement to arrive, and wasn’t used to the feel of it anymore. I’d come to like the firmer touch of this keyboard and the compact size, without the palm rest of the older model.

While I’m not thrilled that it died after 4 years, it’s not like losing a $100 gaming keyboard. It’s only about $20. It’s a keyboard. It works. And if not for the pandemic and supply chain problems affecting graphics cards, I’d have bought a new XPS 2 years ago and never known the keyboard didn’t last forever.

It seems to be decent quality, but nowhere near as nice as my older Dell multimedia keyboard. It is smaller than I expected, and the keys are a little too close together for those with large hands and long fingers.

The palm rest does not fit well, due to lack of support in the middle. On older models, there is a tab in the middle of the palm rest that attaches to the keyboard. This one only has a small rubber support.

It causes the palm rest to sag in the middle, which is disappointing, especially considering how expensive it is. If I had to make the purchasing decision over again, I would go with another brand.

I received my Dell Multimedia Keyboard-KB216 in a timely manner from Dell. It was fully compatible with my Dell XPS PC. It’s sleek design fits perfectly on my desk and its ergonomic angle supports my wrists excellently! The layout meets all of my needs with the FN keys combining other functions that allows it to be compact yet useful.

The smooth keystroke action allows me to type with confidence and feels great when typing. I would recommend this keyboard for anyone looking to upgrade or replace their current older model as I did!.

IšverstiShow in original languageThe Logitech K270 wireless keyboard is of good quality for its affordable price. It has a full standard layout yet an aesthetically pleasing design with some convenient hotkeys along the top edge.

My only criticism is that the design does not include indicator lights for num lock or scroll lock, only for caps lock. The included Logitech Unifying receiver allows both the keyboard and my Logitech mouse to connect to my computer through one USB port.

The receiver stores neatly and flush inside a small cavity underneath the keyboard, which is convenient for packing up and shifting workstations. Although the keyboard has a 24-month long battery life, the on/off switch is visibly located; prompting me to turn it off when not using it.

I recommend this product if you are looking for an affordable, wireless keyboard that is not too ostentatious in design, ergonomics, and functionality.

IšverstiShow in original languageIt’s a good keyboard, Travel is good and the unifying receiver is nice to have. it’s awesome to have the the top function keys, but I do not often find myself using those keys.

The only thing I have to say about this keyboard is that it is NOT a mechanical keyboard. Upon further inspection it is a membrane keyboard, in fact it is exactly the same as the MK270 bundle just this one is compatible with the Unifying receiver.

The price point is a good indicator that it is not a mechanical keyboard, There are mechanical keyboards at a low price point, It is a bit of False advertising and that is the only reason it is at 2 stars, otherwise this is a good keyboard with good key travel and a good form factor.

I had been using an excellent Logitech Edge keyboard that had lasted 15 years with only a couple of battery replacements until it began acting erratic and died recently – which still could have been the new battery I had installed a few months back.

It is just too much trouble replacing that battery. I had wanted an additional Logitech Solar Keyboard as I have several that have never been a problem on other computers, but they just weren’t available.

One of mine being 12 years old and still performing great. They only require an easily replaced coin battery after a number of years. This MX keyboard is just fine although I will need to manually charge it occasionally.

A takeoff is I have no idea how long its battery will last, or if it can even be replaced, but I do like the lighted keys, and its ability to connect using Bluetooth or the included RF adapter. I also like I can connect it to two more devices such as my smart TVs using Bluetooth.

I miss the MX Keys has no dedicated Sleep function button, but I was able to change the Lock key to Sleep function with the Logitech software – which I found could have been a little more intuitive. I also like the keyboard can be turned off while the computer is in Sleep mode and will wake my Windows 11 computer when turned back on by pressing any key.

The keyboard feel is solid, works well sitting in my lap, and the key feel while typing is fine.
