20 Best Jeans For Long Legs Women’S (2023 Updated)

Skinny jeans are not flattering on me so I bought several Lands’ End straight leg (high rise) jeans in the last 3 to 5 years. I loved the fit but I gained weight and needed a bigger size. Alas, Lands’ End discontinued the style I was happy with, so I tried these wide leg (high rise) jeans instead.

I wanted to love these jeans but the legs are just too wide. The bottom openings in plus sizes range from 24 to 27 3/4 inches – as wide as the bell-bottoms of the 1970s except these jeans are without the more flattering taper to the knee, with the flare starting below the knee, like the old bell-bottoms had.

These jeans are just wide from thigh to hem and the result is a baggy fit. However, the waist is disproportionately small – especially compared to the loose / baggy fit of the rest of these jeans. If you open the Size Chart link and go to the Item Dimensions link, you’ll find you need to size up to get the right waist.

For example, size 18W says it’s for a body waist of 40-41 inches but the garment waist is only 37 3/4 inches. Similarly, 20W says it’s for a body waist of 42-43 inches but the garment waist is only 39 3/4 inches.

And so on.

Bought these today. Fit was PERFECT in the store. I washed land dried them. They now fit a little snugger than when in the store. Hmmm? I don’t think I gained any weight in the 4 hours since purchase.

They still fit so I am not returning them, and I suspect that they will stretch out a bit as I wear them. I haven’t bought jeans in many years and this denim fabric is softer than my older Lands End denim jeans.

I guess it’s the inclusion of polyester and spandex in the fabric. They are much light weight than previous Lands End jeans. These are suppose to be ankle length but they are perfect regular length for my 5’3″ height.

Would have given a 5 star review but for the slight shrinkage.

THANK YOU !!!!!!!. I am a difficult fit. These pants fit my large front and inner thighs. Slight 70s bell bottom look , the wide fit is all the way to the hem balances my thighs and make me look a bit more linear.

( I refuse to wear the relaxed fit hip and thigh that tapers to the ankle that makes my legs look like drumsticks and skinny jeans are not a good look! ) I love boot cut but if the knee taper is not in the right spot they don’t work either.

I hope you keep making the wide leg as an option for plus sizes although when my weight is down I could use this in a regular XL…. Oh and thank you for the 28 inseam. Usually there are no inseam options in plus sizes.

So how does it run? I ran a tape measure around my hips and thought I needed the 24 but I had hope and also ordered the 22. It was the 22 that fit better. I do have a 10 inch difference between hip and waist there is some waist gap in the back that I pulled in with a soft belt.

I can pull up either size up without unzipping. There is some tummy pull on the 22 on me but the seat fit me better. The fabric has a slight soft nap and has some give. I am happy that there is no rubber tire or chemical smell on these pants.

I would prefer a higher cotton content. CONS: As others have stated the front pocket is too shallow. The hem has the cuff look also on some bells in the 70s. BUT no one needs to have a horizontal that takes 2 inches off of the leg length.

Please make a standard jean hem that will help make the leg longer and more balanced. Yes, I also want the darkest unwashed navy denim color, so much more slimming. All woman hold their weight in different places and it just gets accentuated on a plus size.

Having leg width options available in pants is awesome. Love your new plus size models, so unusual to see them with real bodies. Their thighs rub together and I can see how the pants will hang on me.

I stopped dying my hair during COVID lockdown. My best gray compliments are from my 30 year old friends. Time to put some gray haired models in your line up to show how great we still look in your clothes.

I first bought these this past summer and fell in love with them. I just got another pair. As an older woman, a little thicker in the middle, these are by far the most comfortable jeans I ever owned.

The waist has some give and they move with you. Highly recommend. Please note they run about a size bigger. I am usually a 4 but wear a 2 in these and they fit me like the woman in the picture.

Best jeans I’ve found in a well for tall women. Great quality. They didn’t shrink after I washed them. The dark wash didnt fade. The length is great. I’m a 36 inseam these are perfect.

I wear these for a high activity feed shop. They are soft & comfortable, light & breathable compared to other jeans, but are rugged enough to withstand wear. Not tight around my thighs or rear and enough space around my knees and calves so they don’t rough my skin.

Although they are straight leg, they fit nicely over my work boots. Color is attractive. I LOVE that the fit of rear to waistline accommodates my curves without hugging my rear or drooping at my waist.

I wanted to love these jeans – they?re a little snugger than I would normally wear, but were still comfortable and passed the ?flattering or not? husband question (he?s honest and has no issue saying ?not?).

It never occurred to me that I needed to check the back view prior to washing them. Unfortunately, I should have. The material is soft, but very thin. I put them on after washing them and did a 360 degree check.

To my dismay, in brighter light, every lump and bump on the backs of my thighs is visible. If you have so much as a scrap of cellulite, you will be displaying it to the world (at least in the color Sparrow).

I?ve never run into this before and will end up donating them without every wearing them.

The prAna Women’s Kayla Jeans are even better than I dared hope! The inseams are the full 36″, the material isn’t too light and stretchy, and the Denim color is beautiful and clean looking. The mid-rise is not too high on my short torso, and they are cut a little bit higher in the back than the front which definitely adds to the comfort level.

I ordered the 2 Tall and then the 0 Tall. The waist of the 2 Tall was definitely a few inches too loose, and when I wore them, they slid down a little, but if you can wear a belt comfortably, that would take care of it without uncomfortable bunching.

The legs are comfortable all the way down and fit just like advertised (slim/fitted through thighs and slim but looser at the bottom). The 0 Tall definitely fits my waist better (with only an inch or so of extra space), and they stay up better.

The thighs are a little tighter as expected, but they’re still comfortable. The length on both in as advertised! Technically, it’s a little too long for me, but the jeans look cute cuffed all kinds of ways, so I’m not bothered at all.

Generally, the whole fit is very flattering, so I will probably end up wearing them more in nicer outfits instead of the intended camping, outdoor lifestyle stuff so that they’ll last longer. I could probably return the 2, but I’ll probably keep them both since it is so hard for me to find nice, long jeans.

I would buy more colors if they were available in the tall sizes.

I purchased a pair of jeans that I bought at least 5 years ago in a store. I couldn’t find them anywhere. I googled the brand and eventually got to Valhalla Pure where I found them. I didn’t see my size so I contacted them, about their return policy in case the smaller size didn’t fit.

The response was prompt and very helpful. I ordered the jeans and they fit perfectly! And they were delivered when they said they would be.

Size 6 petite here, looking for something with an actual wide leg, not the “yeah, this is still a skinny jean for all intents and purposes” straight leg jean. This works. Fits around the waist/hips; also fits around the thighs without being skin tight, and wide around the knees, which was the main thing I needed.

Very loose around the calves. Quality seems better than Old Navy so far. Caution: if like me you are 5′ 1″ they may run a little bit long, but so far I haven’t had to hem them/roll them up. I will probably be buying more in the future.

If you’re tall like me, especially if you’re long-waisted or have a naturally higher waist, take heed: order the tall version. I initially ordered the regular length because the reviews all said these run long.

They do, the regular was the perfect length on my 5’11” frame, but I couldn’t button or zip them at all. I ordered a size up which was way too big. Realized the issue is that the rise was too low, and that the intended waist of the jeans was actually around my hips.

Tall in my original/regular size fits perfectly but it’s not high rise IMO, closer to mid rise. Fitted through the waist and hip so it’s flattering on the butt and doesn’t look sloppy, but perfectly wide legged.

Also love the color for casual denim. The denim is very soft, a lighter mid-weight denim. Did have to hem several inches because the Tall is LONG, now they just touch the top of my foot and look great with everything from mules to classic white sneakers.

I’ve been looking for a pair of jeans like this for YEARS! The fit is adorable and the fabric light weight and comfy. I don’t buy “curvy” usually, however, these worked out awesome and unlike other pants that I need in 2’s or 6’s, I ordered these in a 4 which is my standard size and they couldn’t be better fitting.

I am 5’5 and range between 132 & 137 lbs. Buy these NOW!.

I received my jeans size 12 in Ocean Blue today and have not taken them off since. I’m super happy with the shape they provide my legs and **** and the level of comfort. I am only 5ft 2 and the length isn’t too long and the waist band makes them really comfortable.

The colour is true to the photo. I have worn Freddy’s in the past but they kept falling apart so I wanted to find jeans that still fitted well but lasted. I will be purchasing more in different colours.

Such fantastic jeans that fit my big butt and small waist. I ripped my old pair of jeans a while back and thought I’d never be able to find skinny jeans that fit again but these are super fantastic and are actually real jeans compared to some other competitors who just use jeggings to cater to big buns small waists.

These jeans were my first LE purchase and after hearing great reviews, I was super hopeful. The curvy, petite, mid-rise option was GREAT for my waist/hips/butt. I’m a short pear/hourglass and definitely have a “mom belly.

” This managed to get things that fit my hips and back without either squeezing my muffin top OR being way too loose, which are the typical extremes. The dissapointing thing is- they are NOT skinny jeans.

There are multiple inches around my ankle, more like the straight legs that are coming back into style. Which is fine. if that’s what you want. I personally wanted a traditional skinny that was tight fitting at the ankles.

Perhaps LE’s “curvy” is meant for those big calves & ankles also, and this wouldn’t matter/would be positive to those who have thicker legs in addition to curvier hips. On me though, it’s a perfect fit from waist to thigh, then becomes baggy from knee to ankle.

If you are okay with that, it’s probably a great choice. Just do not personally feel this should be called a skinny jean. Also, they do attract lint so be prepared to lint roll! Haha.

I normally have LE jeans figured out. I wear a size 6 in most other brands, but for LE I always size down to a 4 and they fit well. These particular jeans, in the dark wash, LOOKED smaller immediately when I received them, and indeed they are very tight on me.

I have worn them, so perhaps they technically fit, but they are super tight in the waist specifically. I wonder if my body is not really the correct shape for the “curvy fit”? So to other shoppers, be aware that there may be more room in the hip/thigh area of these jeans, but the waist area is smaller! Also, I agree with a previous reviewer that the petite inseam length of 28 feels a bit “too short.

” I have other brands of jeans in 28 length that just cover my ankles, and these sit right above my ankles. On the bright side, I got the dark regent wash and didn’t experience any color bleeding during wear or wash.

This review is for women who have recently discovered the miracle of pull on skinny “legging jeans,” aka jeggings. I tried several different styles and brands—with zippers and without, high rise and lower riding, with and without pockets.

These are the perfect combination. If you wear your shirt untucked, then who needs the zipper? This waist is nicely smooth and these pockets (a necessity) lie flat. The color saturation of both the black and indigo is nicely intense.

A note to petites: at barely 5’3”, I thought I needed the 26” inseam but since it was out of stock, I got the 28” and planned to hem them. I was pleasantly surprised that I don’t have to.

I have worn Aura jeans from wrangler for over a decade. After my previous order I wrote an outstanding review for the product. However, someone at wrangler got the big idea to “update” this style and they have completely ruined it.

I actually had to go back and check to see if they had sent me the correct item. The legs are different. The waist/hips are different. And the bottom is all wrong. Definitely not pleased with the changes and will be returning these jeans.

This is especially frustrating since the previous style would last me a year or more of hard use.

I am glad I read the reviews before blindly purchasing. I waited to actually try them on while visiting my daughter in WY. Wow, not the same Aura jeans that I have been wearing for 10 years! The fit and feel are different.

I was assured that they were the same, no they are not. As I was in the store, (no, we don’t have anything close to the same in Alaska), 2 separate women came in returning these jeans. Please Bring Back the Aura jeans that seemingly most of the reviews are asking for and suggesting.

When I began wearing the Wrangler Aura jeans. I wore a size 8. As I lost weight, the smaller sizes fit me perfectly still. I have owned size 8’s, size 6’s, size 4’s and now size 2’s. I LOVE these jeans.

One of the most interesting things is that, regardless of weight of denim, or cut – low rise, regular or high rise – they all fit me! Buying jeans is a dreaded and stressful time. Not to mention – it can be very expensive.

These jeans are the ONLY jeans I own. Not all Wranglers fit me – but if you find the style that does – you have got it made. I have every shade available. I have purchased used Aura’s for work jeans and to cut off for shorts.

These jeans are so cute in the picture online but that’s about as far as it goes. They look like they are going to be a real denim material but when I received them I was completely disappointed to see that the look and feel of them is similar to American Eagle jeans.

They are so thin and stretchy which is not what I was expecting. I had my eye on these jeans for about a month before I decided to purchase and while I read all the reviews I was not prepared for the big let down.

One reviewer did state there was stretch and to size down but I did not expect this type of quality from The Buckle. The fit was nice, I ordered my true size but the quality was not there. This was my first purchase of Flying Monkey and will probably be my last.

These flared jeggings will be returned.

I have been told that this brand, Flying Monkey runs super big so I shied away. Since then, I have learned that you have to compare the fabric blend to what fits you perfectly. If a pair of jeans has a lot of polyester in the blend, you should size down.

I did order this pair in a 25 instead of a 24 knowing this because I wanted something a size up for those days when you dont feel your best. I love them. I love the high rise although its a bit higher than I am used to.

(Buckle should list the rise in the information) The bootcut feels like a flare to me which is good because it seems that there are more and more super and extreme flares being offered now and they are not for everyone.

Check the fabric content and remember, more polyester means more stretch.

I bought another pair of jeans and had them shipped to the store; they were NOT what I expected, upon receipt. Fortunately, my store had just gotten these in and had me try them. Love at first sight.

No distressing and a finished hem (which is what I wanted all along) with a super cute pintuck seam detail. True high waist. It says slim fit online but I normally wear a 31 in Kancan/FM/Vervet and 12/14 otherwise and these fit the same, like a glove.

I cannot wait to wear them with platforms and honestly I’m glad the other ones didn’t work bc I love these so much more.

I will start by saying that I am a true size 2 and often size down to a 0 in boyfriend jeans. I tried these in a 2 and decided to purchase a 0 (which was the smallest size available in store). They were still slighlty big in the waist and I found myself having to pull them up to avoid them from drooping and sagging.

The color and style were exactly what I was looking for and I would have rated them 4 out of 5. However, after about 30 minutes to wearing them, they just kept stretching more and more. It is also worth noting that they were more of a high rise (vs mid rise) jean.

Wish they would have retained their shape better. I would suggest sizing down one (or two sizes).

The fit and style are fine, I really like them. But from the beginning, they SMELL so bad like mothballs- right from the package. I have washed them several times, soaked them in oxiclean, soaked them in vinegar, tried everything and they still smell TERRIBLE.

I have had them for 2 months and still have not worn them because they stink so bad. I bought 3 pairs of jeans that all arrived in separate packages and they ALL smell like this but these ones were the worst.

I am seriously considering just donating them and losing all the money I spent. DO NOT BUY.

What ever happened to being able to order clothing in a larger size and having an option for regular or plus sizing? I typically wear an 18, but I’ve never needed the extra space in the thighs and butt, so I’ve always gotten an 18 regular.

These jeans are super comfy, but there’s a BIG handful of extra material on each outer thigh, so they look weird on. I’m keeping them, but definitely having a tailor take them in so they look right. It’s not just an Old Navy problem these days, but it’s still frustrating to not have the option of a regular cut anymore.

I knew from ordering other Fashion Nova jeans to go down a couple sizes. When I got these, they looked way to small to fit, but they stretched just enough to get them over my knees and most of the way over the hips.

If you have trouble getting them the rest of the way up, just tug the fabric a little at a time from bottom to top, and you’ll have that extra little bit you need for them to make it all the way over your butt.

Once you get it over your butt and wiggle them as high as they go, they zip and button up perfectly. They’re thick and compressing enough that you can feel how tightly they’re holding you in throughout the day, but they’re never uncomfortable.

They keep your butt look thick and perky, and lift your cheeks up high but allow them to move freely. They will impress equally at work or on a date!.

I absolutely LOVE the color of these but there is ZERO stretch and they were small to supposedly have been a size 9. I do NOT think they are true to size, and you will need to go up a size or two! Be absolutely certain of your size because FN has HORRIBLE “customer service” and they do not get back to you respectfully and they WILL cheat you out of your money.

I learned they refuse to do any type of exchange although their site lied and says true to size, when it is not. They are not honoring the sale price that I purchased the items for and exchanging them, in fact I was told that I now will LOSE money because I purchased during Cyber Monday sale and they will only give me store credit, they will not allow me to exchange and they will not honor the sale discount I received so instead of me getting the 3 pairs of pants I purchased, I will only be allowed 1 or 2 pairs and they made ME pay for my own return shipping.

I’ve ordered the fashion nova classic mid rise skinnies and lived them but these fit kinda funny. They were about 3 inches too long on my legs, bith baggy and tight in my legs, fit in the waist and butt but there was thus extra material hanging from the crotch area.

Tjey just felt reallt uncomfortable because thry were actually really hard to get on yet loose in areas on my legs and a little loose in my waist. If i had ordered a size down they would have bee. Too tight in the butt i think and waist.

Just git strange. Bunched at ankles. I ended up giving them away.

These are like wearing sweatpants. So comfortable and non-binding anywhere. They do tend to stretch out after a few hours of wearing and can be a bit baggy, but they are so comfy, that can be forgiven.

The roomy front pockets are also a huge plus as they can fit a cell phone inside. You can’t say that about most women’s jeans these days.

These jeans have a very comfortable waistband. The denim is quite stretchy, so it retains it’s shape after wearing. The waist sits a bit below the natural waist, which makes them more comfortable. I had been looking for jeans that wouldn’t ‘droop’ on me and the shorter rise has done this for me (with the help of a belt).

They wash up nicely in cold water. I need a long length and Lee offers that. It was hard to find these pants but I found them here, thank goodness, in my size of 12 Long.

This is the first pair of Lee jeans that I have purchased in awhile. I’m glad I gave them another try. They are perfect for weekends, running errands and whenever comfort is a factor. They fit great in the waist.

Since they are a relaxed fit, these jeans are a little roomy in the hips and thighs. If you are looking for a relaxed fit then you will love these jeans.

These high rise jeans fit very nicely. I wasn’t sure of the sizing so I bought them in two different sizes, 8 and 10. I sent the smaller size back which had a $6. 50 return charge. I had noticed that both of them had a very strong chemical smell to them.

I thought that after I washed my jeans that the odor would go away. It did not. I washed them 3 times with an extra rinse cycle each time and they still smelled terrible. I then tried a laundry detergent claiming to get rid of all odors.

Unfortunately, that did not work either. I would have ordered another pair but seeing that I had two different pairs to begin with that smelled , I assumed that they all would smell. I wanted to send them back but realized that I would have to pay another $6.

50 return fee and would have spent $13. 00 and have nothing to show for it. Just to try and tell you how badly they smelled, I had a sweater on with them when I was deciding what to do. The sweater absorbed that odor at the bottom where it covered the jeans.

I did call customer service and they did waive the return fee. So to recap, loved the jeans and the way they fit but they really did smell awful.

I usually wear petite but bought these in regular size 4 because in general LL Bean’s jeans had been running a little shorter prior to this purchase, especially the 1912 style jeans which that I really liked.

I received these true shape jeans and they were a good 1. 5 to 2 inches longer than the 1912 jeans I ordered only 9 mos prior. So, I re-ordered the true shape in size 4 petite and while the length was okay, they no longer fit my waist as the regular had.

Petite should mean shorter not smaller. But I have had this sizing problem with other styles. I ordered from probably the last batch of 1912, after being disappointed with these true shape jeans, and they did not fit at all like the previous 1912 purchases.

It really doesn’t matter to me how you size them, please just stay consistent so that i can order with confidence.

I rely on LL Bean jeans for fit, durability and comfort. It was time for a new pair of light indigo jeans so I happily ordered a pair of True Shape light indigo jeans in my usual size 4. They arrived and I took off my size 4 classic fit jeans to try these on – they looked small.

Boy, were they! Turns out the waist was 2-3 inches smaller than that of the jeans I had just taken off. So, mailed these back for an exchange to get a size 6. They arrived yesterday and were way too big.

I have to wonder if the first pair was mismarked because the difference in sizing between the 4 and the 6 was so pronounced. All to say, am returning the size 6 regular light indigo jeans and will try a different jean rather than try the True Flex yet again.

Hope others have had better success, but please LL Bean, take quality control into serious consideration with your products!.

I purchased these in a 24 Regular. Usually I buy in a 24P. The fit was overall true to size but I think because of my body type, a curvy fit would work better for me. I’m 5’1 and I was happy with the 24 Regular length on my body for sure! But it felt a little snug on my butt, flattening rather than flattering.

If they fit like my previous slim wide-leg, I would definitely have kept them. The material is a thick jean, slight give ,definitely a small waist and I had to shimmy them on but I think with wear they have a little give.

Overall I would recommend, even to consider the regular if you are petite and want something longer, and also if you don’t usually benefit from the curvy fit then these could work for you.

I really love the fit and style of these slim wide leg, but one of the issues I have with this particular pair is that the hip area is SO tight. I’m consistently a 23 in Madewell jeans with room to spare around the waist.

These fit perfectly around the waist but are so hard to pull over my hips, and I don’t have a particularly curvy figure. I’m going to give the 24 a try but worry the waist is going to be too loose. Length wise these in a regular were a nice crop length for me (5’3″).

Another note is that although this is the Lunar wash, it is significantly darker than the Perfect Vintage Straight Lunar wash, which I find interesting. I wish the color is more consistent especially if you’re going to call them the same name.

Okay I love the Madewell wide leg jeans. I bought a pair almost 2 years ago and they have been so awesome – high waisted, comfortable and truly wide legs. These were just not right on my body type. I am a 27 waist with curvy hips and thigs.

This denim had a little bit of stretch but it was not very soft like my previous pair. It was also very tight in the waist to thighs area. It probably would have stretch out some but it was just not very flattering.

It also just about flattened my butt. I am a 27 in all Madewell denim. I was hoping these being wide leg would negate the need for the Curvy line but alas I will be sticking to the curvy line from now on.

If you are narrow in the hips and thighs, these may be right for you. I would not recommend to anyone with a smaller waist and curvier hips/thighs.

I like these – but don’t love them. The stretch is a little too much where it really doesn’t hold you in like jeans should. The waist/hips is therefore a little large. I wish I would have sized down.

I bought a 6p, and the length is at least 2” longer than it should be so I still had to get them tailored to wear with my tallest heals. The look looks now. If I could change these slightly to improve them, I’d make the boot slightly smaller, and the material not so stretchy, and make the length a normal size.

Color is great, and I’m loving the mid rise (this is a higher mid rise so no muffin top, but they aren’t as high as mom jeans are).

I love the length of these, I’m 6 feet tall and have been checking back for a classic boot cut dark rinse style. These pants though are not really denim but more of a bootcut legging. I wore around the house for 10 minutes and they began to get baggy behind the knee and at the waist.

Debating if I should return and get a smaller size. I really needed some dark jeans. Please Ann Taylor bring back your flare leg, boot cut denim for taller women in a 16T and 20T. There aren’t a lot of options at the moment and women need pants.

I ordered several pairs of jeans and was shocked upon deliver to discover that all but this pair were not actually boot cut, but a flare or bell bottom, even though labeled as boot cut. This pair actually has a label on it of slim boot, but it is the same size at the ankle as my previous/older pairs of AT boot cut.

The material is super soft and they fit really well! Highly recommend. Also, I really don’t notice a difference between these and the high rise. They all hit me around the same spot.

I am one of those plus-sized women who hold the majority of my weight in my midsection. My stomach and my hips are almost the same measurement. It’s almost impossible to find pants that fit my waist, hips, and thighs perfectly.

When I tried these on at a store, I bought them because they looked dang good on me. I was so excited for the look that I didn’t take into account how uncomfortable they were just standing in the dressing room.

The fabric is high-quality, but it is super heavy and uncomfortable. I feel like I’m being compressed the entire time, and it is almost claustrophobic. I can wear them a couple hours before I’m changing into my ill-fitting but comfortable cheap jeans.

While the look is great, the feel is another story.

I’m typically a 22 but sized up to a 24 based on reviews and am regretting it. The waist fits okay – not tight but not super loose. The legs are anything but skinny. They are baggy around my thighs and knees and semi loose around my ankles.

This isn’t a super uncommon issue with me because I’m apple shaped and have thinner legs compared to my waist, but these pants are definitely worse than most. Will definitely send back. I’m considering trying them in my normal size to see if that’s a better fit but not sure if they’re worth it.

Also I ordered in the petite since I’m only 5’4 but they were a little shorter than I would’ve wanted. If I order again I’ll go longer. They are a really pretty color (I got them in wine) and have great 90s vibes.

Maybe better on someone with a more proportionate build than I have.

I bought these jeans last year and wore them to work everyday. I worked retail and was moving around on my feet for 8 hours a day. They still look like new with no visible wear, even where my thighs rub together.

I have never had a pair of jeans that fit me so well and looked so flattering. I have a big bum and hips and I have always had to deal with jeans having that embarrassing large gap on my back above my tailbone.

These jeans sit comfortably flush against my back. They fit so well that I don’t even need to wear a belt. They’re form fitting but I have no problem moving around in them and can wear them for hours.

The pockets are deep enough that they can store my phone, bank cards, lip balm, and mints so problem. I normally hate wearing jeans but these, I cannot recommend enough.

Thank you LL Bean! I was looking specifically for suitable travel pants, but when I saw the flex fabric decided to give the jeans a try. These pants are super comfortable and fit so perfectly that I bought 3 pair in this style in different colors for my upcoming trip.

They are comfortable enough to wear on the long flight, and the darker pairs can be dressed up or down. I am short but depending on the style and cut sometimes petite ends up being too short and regular too long.

These petites are just right. No tailoring needed. Also, I am 60 and carry weight around my butt and middle. The waist hits below my natural waist. The waist band doesn’t dig in anywhere, covers well so there’s no “plumber’s crack” when I move, there’s no gaping, and I am not constantly pulling up pants that want to migrate south.

Win, win, win, win. The skinny style is usually not particularly flattering on me but I was surprised that these look better on me than the classic fit. I can’t stress enough how soft, light and comfortable these jeans are.

Give them a try. I hope they work as well for you as me.

After getting a pair of these in Rinsed which fit perfectly, I ordered a pair in Light Indigo. Very disappointed. When taking them out I thought they looked a little odd, like someone had taken a pair of long length, cut them and re-hemmed them.

Tried them on, could barely get them zipped, and way too short. Laid them out on the perfectly fitting Rinsed ones, the legs (thigh through calf) were a full inch wider in circumference than the Rinsed plus being 2 inches shorter.

Going back, but since I am a glutton for punishment I have asked to replace these with Stonewashed. If they are as bad as the Light Indigo, that is the last pair of jeans I will purchase. I say this because I have a pair of Classic fit that came with the inseam very crooked, and when I exchanged them, the new pair came with a small tear (which I repaired) in the thigh.

Thus the generous 3 star rating.

These pants came up over my belly button, unlike the way it was advertised as sitting below the waist. It was very tight in the waist, and I have a small waist, but it was extremely roomy in the buttock and thigh area.

The calves were also super tight, and I have thin legs and calves. I felt like circulation was being cut off on my ankles, but had an extra two inches to spare in the thigh area. Who is shaped this way? This made the jean feel very uncomfortable, as I prefer a looser waist with a tighter fit on the buttock and thighs.

These jeans are the opposite of comfortable and were just ill-fitting all around.

Have been wearing these jeans since they practically made their debut, but haven’t purchased any new one’s until just recently as they have held up beautifully. The fit, as usual is just perfect, but something about the fabric has changed.

I used to be able to wear them a couple of times before washing. That is no longer the case. I put them on, and within an hour or two they are baggy and just very loose – not retaining their nice, snug shape.

Can’t get a second wear out of them. Disappointing, to say the least! Also wished you offered them in say a 30-31” length. 32” is very long! Have not been able to find someone who can do a good job hemming jeans.

The petite length is just a little short for me. I live in “cowboy country “ and we tend to wear our jeans stacked a little over boots, but a 32” inseam is still a bit much for me and the petite length is too short.

I typically wear a 10 in NYDJ, but have lost about 12 lbs so purchased an 8. They fit great, but we’re loose and baggy within an hour. Unable to return them as they have been worn and washed. So I purchased a size 6 to see what happens.

Tried them on, They fit, nice and snug but not tight. Haven’t worn them all day yet. All that being said, I still love the fit, style, comfort, and different washes offered. Am just not at all thrilled with the fact that they don’t retain their shape for very long at all.

I first ordered these when they were tsv, in Elodie size 12 and size 14 as I’d never tried the brand. The size 12 fit perfect but one leg was sewn crooked and color was too light so returned for an exchange for size 12 in Rockie color way.

My return was processed as a return not an exchange and I was charged $6. 95 return s&h. Called CS and they were great, mailed out Rockie size 12 for the tsv price and adjusted off the shipping charges, but they explained that since the different color ways for this brand are all a different item number that’s why they processed it as a return and could not do the exchange.

Well the 12 Elodie that fit just perfect was sooooo small when I got the 12 Rockie. I mean I could not even zip them up. How can this be? I am returning these as defective and will not order NYDJ again.

Life has too many hassles to have shopping be one of them. I have been a Q customer for over 20 years but lately I am repeatedly disappointed with shipping delays, sizing issues and quality control issues.

So sad to see this happen.

NYDJ is my favorite brand jeans at this stage of my life. I appreciate the fit that accommodates my thicker mid section. However, these pants do not go by the typical NYDJ size chart. According to the NYDJ website, Size S is supposed to accommodate sizes 0-2-4, M 6-8-10, L 12-14-16.

My ‘normal’ size in this brand is 6 but I also have size 8 & size 4 in my collection. I prefer this straight, pull on style for the smoother front, without a zipper. So when I ordered size M, I thought they’d fit great, maybe even a little big.

But, they are a pretty snug fit, for my taste anyway. And, they did not stretch out much, if any at all, even after wearing straight for 3 days! Impressive, even though I was hoping they’d get looser.

Jeans always stretch out! These do not! I’m not used to having my jeans so snug in the rear & thigh areas. I’ve never worn a size 10. Ever. So, I decided to try the size L. I figured if they don’t fit, I’ll return them.

I got them & there isn’t much difference between the size M & the L. The waist is about 1 inch bigger, the seat and the thigh area are a tad bigger but still snug. But, in all, the size L is more comfortable.

Never would have guessed! Try these but size up. I think I can get comfortable with the more fitted rear & thigh & I think these might become my favorite. I’m keeping both sizes because I know there’s a thin 5-pound-line that I straddle so I’ll be comfortable in both sizes from day to day.

For reference only, I’m 5’4”, 135 (today).

Tomgirl jeans are my favorite AE fit. These fit very similar the Tomgirls. Only real difference is that this style is zipper fly and Tomgirl is button fly. They are a mid-rise, and not high rise as advertised.

I’m very short-waisted and these go at least an inch below my belly button. I’m 5’3″/125 pounds. I ordered a 4 regular. They are nice and fitted in my waist, hips & butt. They don’t look loose on my butt like the model’s photo.

From the thigh down, they’re relaxed, but not sloppy looking. The only problem is that they’re too long because I don’t wear heels. I should’ve ordered a 4 short. Not sure if I’ll exchange them for the short inseam, or just cuff them.

Also, they’re super comfy & no holes❤.

For years I had the constant struggle of jeans that were either too short or had a gaping waist, I couldn’t find jeans made for me. Until I discovered American Eagle. The tall jeans have become a yearly tradition that I look forward to getting.

This pair is another wonderful example, as they are perfectly long and fit just right, with extra stretch to prevent from shrinkage. 10/10 would recommend to any tall girls struggling to find jeans that fit.

I’m 5’0 and the x-short was the perfect length! But to be honest, these were not my fav. I have a pretty straight figure and these jeans did not complement my body at all. It wasn’t tight around my hips at all, it was good tight on the waist but the rest was baggy.

And it wasn’t the wide leg or balloon leg kind of baggy (which those looks are cute), but it was the kind of baggy where it’s loose but still pretty straight fitting? So I kind of ended up looking straight from hip to the legs.

First off I want to thank the store on their timely shipping. I got my order in 3 business days! It was well packaged, not a wrinkle in sight! These jeans are 🔥. My booty looks nice and plump. I’m 5’6 and 163lbs.

I usually wear a size 10-11 in jeans but I ordered a medium because of the stretch. It’s a little tight around my pooch(lower stomach) but I’m sure a body shaper and some crunches will help it fit better.

I will definitely order again but go up a size.

I brought these jeans for my friends birthday, needless to say she is now a swank girl. She loves them and they fit her so good. She said when she wears them she feels like a million bucks and she gets tons of compliments.

As a tall, skinny person it has been a struggle finding jeans in my size that didn’t look like high waters lol These are my favorite jeans by far! Perfect length, fit and they make my booty look good! I have 4 different pairs so far.
