20 Best Hot Comb For Natural Hair (2023 Updated)

I have never found a brush this good, honestly. It just glides through my hair. I love that part of it. What disappoints me is that I have fine thin hair and the handle is literally coming off. I’ve only been using this brush for maybe a month.

The brush I had before Lange was from Walmart and had used for about 10 years or so and it had just now started falling apart. So I gave the review a 3 star because it is pretty and it brushes great, but the quality of the handle is not great.

Or maybe I just got a bad brush 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I purchased two of these to replace our brushes. Overall it works pretty well. My only complaint is that the bristles are very thin. The bristles in my other brush are much thicker & I prefer the sturdy bristles.

This brush is fine if you have fine hair. I have a lot of hair, but fine strands. It works good, but not good enough because the bristles are really thin. My daughter has a ton of hair that’s thick & textured.

This brush does not work at all on her hair, even doing smaller sections. The bristles are not strong enough to go through her thick textured waves & curls. I cannot rate it for medium hair. If you have a normal amount of hair that’s fine you’ll do good with this brush.

If you have lots of hair, it works okay. If you have thick textured hair I wouldn’t recommend it.

I have been using the wet brush until I ordered this paddle brush from L’ange. It is awesome cause it’s so much bigger and the bristles get to the scalp better and glides thru the hair so easily!!! It’s also awesome on wet hair after you get out of the shower.

I can’t wait for the boar bristle brush to come back in. I have to have that one too!! It’s just the way Lange has made their brushes. They are such great quality. Bye bye wet brushes!!! And I just want to say that as a fairly new client, I love all of the products I have ordered and my hair looks amazing!!! I get compliments all the time now on how beautiful my hair is and how healthy it looks!! I didn’t get many compliments anymore until I started using L’ange.

I bought this item after seeing reviews on Buzzfeed and also hearing about it from friends. I was reluctant to buy it because it was selling for such a cheap price – my last hair straightener I bought lasted me 6 years.

I knew this straightener would straighten my hair, but I really wanted one that would curl it. I have really thick and heavy hair and after using this product, my curls have remained over night till day 3 even! They have loosened slightly but thats to be expected, nonetheless, I was shocked they’ve lasted this long without any touch up.

The product glides through my hair creating a shiny, smooth texture (comparable to hair salon quality) and it is soft to touch! In addition, there are no kinks from where I began the curls and my hair is bouncy and no lost volume! I’m so happy with this purchase, especially since I didn’t have to spend $100+ like I did with my old straightener.

I was super excited this Shine Therapy Argan Oil & Keratin 2 Inch Flat Iron from Remington recently! I had been hunting for a new one for myself but hadn’t found the right one for me yet. The Flat iron arrived super quickly once it was shipped and on its way to me.

Once here, I was extremely relieved to see that they had packaged this flat iron inside of another box & also protected it from being tossed around during shipment, which I really appreciated. No one wants to receive a broken product, so they did great.

The packaging for the flat iron itself was super easy to remove the flat iron from. It was a nicely decorated and very informative box. I really liked how they had so much good information on the box & used that space with all that information instead of leaving it blank.

I never get to brag on a products packaging, so this is very nice. It even shows the size of the straightener on the box! You never get lucky enough to see an actual picture of the hair tool on the box this simple & clear, but it’s truly almost a full size picture of the flat iron itself.

It’s very nice to see everything good about a product on its box, that way I’m not googling the answers I want to my questions about the product. The beautiful flat iron is a very sleek looking flat iron.

It is an off-white color all over it, with a very pretty sparkly silver top panel that runs the entire length of the top of the flat iron. It has the Remington Shine Therapy logo in the center of the top and nothing else except the light up mini temperature screen that’s on the top of the handle.

My favorite part about this flat iron is the swivel cord! Not many other flat irons have this and it’s such a disappointment when they don’t. I also like that this heats up from 300 degrees for fine hair, all the way up to 450 degrees for very thick hair, and everything in between for all hair situations.

So it feels like I’m getting a custom flat iron made just for me each time I use it. Oh & the way the Ceramic plates are set in the flat iron, gives it a smooth pull against your hair. Especially with the fact that they’re conditioned with the Argan Oil & Keratin.

It’s really good for your hair. It does help make your hair shinier & smoother. Honestly this is a great flat iron if you’re looking for one. It’s not super expensive, it’s from an amazing brand that we all already know & love, plus it’s made from great quality materials with a swivel salon length cord! It’s a very safe flat iron with an easy to use hinge lock & auto shut off.

It’s truly salon quality without it carrying that huge salon pricetag! I highly recommend it. You and your hair will thank me later!.

This flat iron has a lot of great attributes. First, the 2” width allowed me to flat iron my hair much more quickly than my old 1” flat iron. That got me out the door in half the time than I usually would need.

Second, the digital display and directions made it easy for me to choose a proper heating temperature. Even though the recommended temperature was lower, I opted to use 400 degrees Fahrenheit for my hair which worked perfectly.

Third, there is a locking mechanism that allowed me to keep the flat iron closed after styling. From a safety perspective this was well thought out and appreciated! The only downside I came across was in the positioning of my hand on the handle.

I found that I was unintentionally and unknowingly pressing the temperature increase button while styling my hair, which brought the machine all the way to 450 degrees before I realized it. Aside from that mishap, the product works great and is a good purchase.

I think this is the fastest heating flat iron I have ever used. My hair is curly, frizzy and tangles easily. I prefer my hair straight as a pin. Most straighteners help but never get all the curl out.

I have has the most success with this 1″ straightener. I am not sure if it is due to the Argan oil being infused or the technology. Regardless, I am so happy with how well it works. The cool down time for the straightener is fairly quick as well.

The cord is plenty long. The placement of the on/off and temperature settings are out if the way. I can’t tell you how frustrated I get when they are right where my fingers sit so I end up changing the temperature or shutting it off.

Not with this. It is balanced well, the weight of it does not feel heavy or awkward in my hand. I prefer the thinner 1″ wand over thicker ones. I can control it easier as well as use it to style my hair straight or with waves.

I almost forgot to mention the handy clip that keeps the unit closed when not in use. What a great feature. No need to wrap ot closed in the cord.

It has multiple heat settings that allow you to leave your hair much more soft than other flat irons. It operates on 3 settings: smooth, curl, or both and it also has a great locking mechanism, which is great for the curling feature.

The only reason I could not give this product 5 stars is that it is slightly more difficult to use it to curl your hair. If you are not used to using a straightening iron to curl your hair, then there is a slight learning curve to get used to using the locking feature and rolling the iron to accomplish the curled look you are wanting.

Overall PROS: 3 styling settings the softness of hair after use multiple heat settings 3 in 1 product CONS: difficulty using the curl feature and locking mechanism.

I didn’t realize how bad my drugstore brand flat iron was until I received my Chi flat iron. As someone with a lot of fine hair, I appreciate the temperature adjustability. The Chi gives my hair the perfect seal for smooth, shiny, and soft tresses with results lasting longer than with any other flat iron I have used.

The long cord is nice for maneuverability. Due to reaching in excess of 400 degrees (F), caution needs to be applied when straightening out hair next to the face and neck as they will easily burn if touched by the flat iron.

That being said, this is a relatively avoidable consequence and totally worth the risk for the end hair straightening result. I haven’t used it as a curling wand, so I cannot comment on that aspect. Nor can I offer any comparison to the other Chi flat irons on the market.

But if you have a lot of fine lightly curly/wavy/fizzy hair, this flat iron does the trick! Pictures soon to follow.

I have always used FHI or Croc primarily because I worked at the largest Aveda distribution in the world for several years. Croc will ruin your hair and FHI is equal to CHI standard flat irons. They basically are the same.

But this little gem. the CHI 3-in-1 has been a game changer. If you want those beachy waves, this will do the trick and hold all day!! The straightener is great, the curler is great. For beach waves, I turn on the straight and curl at the same time, straighten the tips of my hair on 400 degrees, then with the straightener closed, I change the temp to 420 degrees, I wrap the top layer of my hair around the curler in about 6 different sections for about 6 seconds each.

Then, shake out, lightly spray and go! Super quick and easy. FYI. The mat is NOT heat resistant.

I don’t typically write reviews. The CHI G2 flat iron is an excellent professional results tool. The passes at the roots of my hair are not uncomfortable/hot on my scalp. The previous flat iron I owned for 10 years began to pull my hair.

Passes at the roots of my hair were uncomfortably hot. I decided to purchase a professional quality tool this time around. The plates glide smoothly over my hair with no pulling/tugging. I don’t feel heat on my scalp yet I can straighten the roots of my hair.

The auto heat setting of 370 degrees is ideal for my hair type. Results look like the salon results I get at the salon. In my opinion, it is critical to use a good quality heat protectant. I purchased professional quality heat protectant and leave-in conditioner to use with the CHI G2.

I believe the products helped with the results I got with the CHI G2.

I have naturally, very curly hair. I had been using a another flat iron for years. It barely took any curl out. I love Chi products, so I ordered this flat iron. I received it and thought this is the BEST flat iron ever.

My hair glided through the iron like SILK. I only had to run it through my hair slowly two times and it made my curly hair completely straight. The iron has 3 heat settings. I used the highest heat. My hair was straight even into the next day.

If your a person with naturally curly hair, stop fighting your hair. This flat iron is perfect!.

I have been a long time use of Chi flat irons. It’s all I’ve used and I’ve used one for the last 15+ years. I’ve always used the original chi. Never had any issues. I’ve never once dyed, highlighted or colored my hair.

My hair is incredibly healthy , long and thick. I don’t have to use any products in my hair. I purchased this chi about 3-4 months ago. I will say, it does straighten good and it’s smooth. But in the last 3-4 weeks I’ve noticed my hair breaking off along my part on the top of my head and along my forehead.

Looks like baby hairs, the hair is about 1 inch. I’ve never had this before. I wondered if maybe I always had that so I looked at pictures of me before I purchased this straightener, and my hair was perfectly fine.

I use the medium setting on the straightener so the heat would not be the issue. It’s isolated to this straightener fir some reason. I love chi and so I immediately switched back to the ceramic plates.

My 11 year old daughter, who has light, natural waves, was excited to use the Curation Styling Iron. She is able to straighten her hair on her own (with parent supervision) in about 10 minutes, 5 minutes for each pass.

The iron has four heat settings, each recommended for different hair types as well as an auto shut-off feature. My daughter’s hair is a combination of fine and medium so we kept her heat setting at the lowest.

Mine is coarse, so it is set higher. We always put heat protectant spray in our hair to minimize damage and I highly recommend those using heated styling tools invest in quality sprays to protect your tresses.

We were not sure how to curl hair, so we watched a video how to curl hair with the Curation and we found the steps easy to replicate. My daughter has only curled her hair once, as she found it to be tedious on her long, thick hair.

I ended up having to help her because she got tired of curling all the small sections. I have been able to replace both my straightener and my curling iron with this styling iron, and I am extremely pleased with the results we have seen.

This was my first experience with an InStyler product- and I am thoroughly impressed! For the last 15+ years, I have always used Chi brand irons. My hair is hard to tame between it being naturally wavy, super thick, and having humidity induced frizz/unwanted volume.

Despite having really wavy hair, my hair also hardly holds a wand curl normally. One of the best features of this iron was how light weight it is to hold. I need to do a minimum of four layers sectioned out in my hair to reach it all, and I can’t emphasize what a difference it makes to not have a heavy iron to hold up for the 30+ minutes it takes me to get to all my hair.

I also like the LED lights indicating when it’s fully warmed up and ready to go, which only took 30 seconds or so. The swivel cord is nice, it didn’t get in my way while styling. The downsides to the iron were pretty minimal- but the biggest problem I thought it had was that it didn’t have a good balance to set down without it rolling on its side.

A silicone mat to put it on would probably be a good idea if you’re worried about the counters. A much smaller issue was that while the iron looks sleek- the plain white was boring. One of my favorite things about Chi is all their different styles, and I always look forward to seeing the newest designs.

I really like having cute/pretty products when I can get them. As for actual use- no complaints here! I got through most sections with just one slow pass, and it really held straight. I also did some sections to try out a curl under and a round barrel curl.

This is where the InStyler really shined- it held the curl ten fold better than my actual barrel curling iron and it styled it immediately (no holding for a few moments to make a curl). My hair is normally so stubborn I kind of couldn’t believe it.

Another big plus I noticed right away was it really clamped down fully on my strands (without pulling), and I never felt my hair slip through. I would 100% recommend!.

I’m totally comfortable using the Curation I’m not worried about my hair being damaged.

It glides smooth and easily through the hair, straightening the section being worked on the first time. Unlike my old one in which each section of hair had to be done at least twice or even three times.

Using the Curation I can do my hair in ten minutes and I can control where the heat hits it. I haven’t used a blow dryer at all it’s great bc less heat means less damage. The Curation is a great styling tool you won’t need any others!.

Love love love this tool! By far the best brush straightener out there. I bought the first gen brush straightener from HeadKandy and loved it. I happened to get a free one from a competitor and while it is a great product too, it’s just can’t compete with the HeadKandy product.

I gave my bestie the OG and was stuck with the competitors for a while (I know I know). I couldn’t take it any longer and I bought the One Upper to replace the OG I gifted. I am now complete again in my straightening needs and have now gifted the competitors to another friend who is just not sure about the brush straighteners in general.

I have made sure to tell them of they end up enjoying the tool to UPGRADE to the One Upper! 😉.

Sadly I haven’t received my one upper yet. This is my second purchase because I absolutely LOVE the product! I have very frizzy thick thick red hair and it has always taken an hour to straighten it. Not anymore! with this amazing tool it takes about 10/15 minutes! My issue is shipping time sadly it said it would be about 5/7 days and it’s been over two weeks.

I will say the rep helping me track it from your customer service has been AMAZING! Her name is Shelby I believe she has been very kind with responding to my emails. I appreciate her communication.

Its funny. I didn’t think I would ever use this again. Had 1 when I was in my teenage years. I highly recommend this product. It heats up fast and does my hair so nice. Get one you will love it. I love mine.

Very nice curling iron at a good price. I had purchased a very good, inexpensive brush curling irons in the early 1980. Only paid about $6 for it. The last so many years the teeth started falling off, this last week it was just completely falling apart.

After reading reviews bought this. The sizz is perfect. Looks like the teeth are a better material than my last curling iron. Being able to adjust the heat is a plus. I first tried the recommended lower settings for thin, fine hair, but found a much higher setting works best for me, curls faster for one thing.

Handle is the right width. So far so good, hope this one lasts as long as the last one I owned.

I have been buying many different Conair products for many many years. And never had a problem. Until this past year 2020 and 2021. This is my 9th curling brush and the first 7 lasted me about 2 years.

The last 2 brushes I have bought have only last 2-3 month. I don’t know what Conair has changed, but it is not good. Won’t buy anymore CONAIR PRODUCTS AT ALL.

Hot Tools One-Step Blowout Volumizer works amazing and gave me a salon-quality blowout that I have never been able to recreate at home. It is lightweight, only 14 inches in length and very easy to handle.

The brush head is a different oval shape design that gives ability to straighten and volumize at the same time. This unit comes with a removable brush head which is very unique and makes it a multi-tool everyone should have! I was amazed at how easy it was to start at the roots and slowly drag it down the length of hair.

I pinned a portion of my hair away the first time but because the brush head covers a large area of the hair you really do not even need to separate the hair just do a complete blowout going under and over from the base of neck and then from the top of hair.

I also appreciated that the tip of the unit stays cool so it’s easy to handle from both ends. The bristles of the brush are combination of boar type bristles and also nylon pin type spokes so the combination must be how it smooths and shines the hair so wonderfully when I used it as a day-two refresher for body and good at removing tangled on dry air it slides right through so easily.

They have added charcoal to the brush head too which I’ve never seen before and is perfect addition to this kind of styling tool because it refreshes your style but also gives it shiny and frizz free strands.

I can’t wait to try the other options that I can use with this multi-tool Hot Tools has done it again — quality product that works amazing!.

I received the Hot Tools Signature Series One Step Blowout Detachable Volumizer and Hair Dryer to try out. I have used a few products from Hot Tools before but I really like this one! The product came shipped in a box with the dryer and volumizer in separate pieces.

To attach, you just screw the volumizer onto the dryer to lock in place and there is an instant release button to remove the head. This product has a variable temperature control on the bottom of the handle, 6 inch swivel cord for easy reach and activated charcoal barrel brush to make your hair smooth.

The barrel is vented and coated with ceramic. The tip stays cool so you can hold it while styling your hair. I have very long hair and it usually takes a long time to dry and flat iron. I found when using this tool with damp hair, it cuts my drying time more than half.

I usually wear my hair straight but using this I am able to achieve the same look I do with a flat iron cutting out using a blow dryer. I have also found that sectioning the hair first and applying a heat protectant helps speed the styling time up while protecting.

I have also been able to get a great curl on the ends just by beveling the barrel in the direction I want the curl to go. I like that this volumizer/dryer breaks down into two pieces because I like to travel, it makes for easy storage.

Overall, I think this is a great styling tool from Hot Tools. I would definitely recommend, especially if you’re looking to achieve a salon quality blowout, curl or volume.

I love this brush. I had my doubts, after all I have so many tools that are supposed to work miracles on my hair. I have thick, long and frizzy hair. It takes a good 40 minutes to blow dry and then I have to use a hot iron to smooth it out.

And I don’t cheap out on shampoo, conditioner or styling tools. So when I got this in I didn’t try it with excitement, I was fully ready for the let down. But. I wasn’t let down. Yes, it’s loud and when I am doing the front sides of my hair, it’s hot on my face, but this actually makes my hair look like it does when I leave the salon.

Boy, was I happy!! And, I did it myself. It didn’t seem to take any longer than usual to dry my hair, definitely not as long as drying and then straightening. I didn’t feel like my arm was any more tired than when I hold my hair dryer.

If you are on the fence about this. get it. I’m so glad that I did!.

This product is the best!!!! I’ve only tried this for the third time now and could easily notice that it doesn’t flatten my hair to my head like most hair straighteners!! It still leaves a little volume to it making it look more natural.

I’ve also noticed that doesn’t damage my hair like other hair straighteners. Loce thi product so much.

The miss priss is my first ever head kandy tool and I really do love it! I have above the shoulder length a-line hair cut and my hair is super curly and is repairing from being blonde. The iron is so easy to use and doesn’t snag my hairs like my old flat iron was.

I really liked how my hair wasn’t dried out and frizzy feeling after straightening and using the third wheel with some smooth talker through the ends. It felt so soft that I couldn’t keep my hands out of it! The swivel cord is nice and the tool itself isn’t heavy which is a plus.

I also enjoy the fast heat up and I think the locking mechanism is a wonderful addition so the plates don’t get damaged during storage. Very happy with my purchase, definitely recommend it!.

I had an original Chi straightener that finally died after 20+ years. I have hated the thought of replacing it but new I would eventually have too! I immediately went for the Miss Priss! I love this straightener.

I have thick curly hair and it does a great job and I use less heat with just setting it at 350. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and flowing! Wish I had replaced my Chi much earlier!! I love all of Head Kandy products!.

I can never find a teasing comb anywhere. Most often I would find a pack of combs that lacked a teasing comb. I jumped on the chance to purchase one from Lange. In fact I bought 2 taking advantage of the 2 for one offer.

I only use it to part and section my hair. My hair teasing days are long gone! Love these combs and they don’t snag and tear your hair!.

The new dry shampoo is amazing. I do still love & use the original also. All of my L’ange products are excellent. above ALL others, even salon products. I cut all my long colored hair off to go shorter & embrace my natural salt & pepper locks.

It’s easy to hold onto and easy to grip while using. It has three different settings – cool air, heat, and higher heat (all with air flow). The great thing about this is the control is at the base and you have to turn it to power it on and select the setting you want to use.

First of all I should probably start by telling you what kind of hair I have so you can make an informed decision on whether or not this product will be a five star product like it was for me. I have shoulder blade length hair, maybe a bit shorter and it’s fairly straight but quite frizzy.

So if you have similar hair I think you would love this product as much as I did. To be totally honest I was skeptical about this product. I mean, come on. A product that dries straightens and smooths all at the same time? Yeah right.

Well, they were right! I’m the kind of person who doesn’t love to waste much time on my hair, hence I usually put it up in a pony tale and call it good enough. So it was so nice to have this tool that could not only do the drying but also smooth out all my frizzy-ness in one go.

The Instyler Maven was easy to use and from start to finish it probably only took me 15 minutes tops to get perfectly dried and smooth hair. The product is much like a hair brush combined with a straight iron and a blow dryer to boot! The only downside I can think of for this product is that putting the InStyler Maven on the highest setting is still like having your blow dryer on the lowest setting.

The power of the blow drying part of the InStyler is just not there but since it has a flat iron like brush it didn’t seem to make much of a difference on my medium thick hair. The InStyler Maven is a truly innovative product.

When I hear the word “InStyler” I only ever thought of the original tool they sold. I didn’t realize that the InStyler brand sold other hair tools but I’m very glad I have the InStyler Maven at the ready.

Let me start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews! However with this brush I just had to, it’s amazinnnng!! I know how hard it is to achieve great looking hair by blow drying your own hair. This brush made my hair so soft and honestly made it so straight on the first down.

Did I mention it’s heat resistant bristles? You don’t have to worry about your hair being damaged bc of them. Love love love!! Buy buy buy if you’re on the fence. Won’t regret!!.

I’ve always had bad experiences using round brushes, so for most of my adult life I’ve dried and styled my hair using a large paddle brush. I have hair that gets tangled easily. But this brush is really easy to use, you just have to section your hair out.

I also let it air dry about 80% or finger dry with the blowdryer first until about 80% dry, then section and use the round brush. It adds volume, smooths the ends, makes my hair shiny, and is pretty easy to use.

It doesn’t tangle my hair or add too much extra time to my routine. I bought the medium size 1 3/4″ and my hair is a bit past my shoulders with some layers.

I got 3 different brands of round brushes (Wigo, BedHead, and this one) and tried them all over the course of 2 days in order to compare. I really wanted to love one of the cheaper ones, but, as usual, the most expensive in the bunch (this one) is my fave.

Reasons: 1) It grabs my hair–which is long and fine– without making me feel like I’m damaging it. 2) Holy speed!!! Seriously I would give each 2″ inch chunk of hair like 2 pass throughs with the blow dryer and it went from wet to dry.

3) It’s super easy to use. I am a newbie when it comes to blow drying with a round brush. The other couple of times I’ve tried with my mom’s brushes I’ve gotten so frustrated that I quit. Not with these! The only thing that would be nice is if the barrel was a little longer so that you could dry more hair at a time.

Oh, and a few more sizes. I also don’t know if this copper heat resistance stuff actually makes any difference and kind of feel like the white ceramic “regular” Olivia Garden round brushes might be really similar and could save some money.

Alas, my store was out of the white ones, so idk.

I received the ‘Conair OhSoKind flat iron for thin hair’ for free in exchange for my honest opinion from BZZAgent. I have lost a lot of hair since having my daughter, and it has left my hair very thin and flat.

I used to love straightening my very wavy hair, but since it got so thin I have been afraid of ruining it any further. When I heard there was a flat iron for thin hair, I was very excited, and jumped at the opportunity to test it out! I had high hopes, and once I received it I tested it out right away.

I’m happy to say it exceeded my expectations and I am very happy and excited to have something that I feel safe using on my hair! The iron says it is infused with almond and aloe vera, and normally I’m sometimes skeptic, but I have to say the claims are true because it made my hair very, very soft after using it.

The iron was very easy to use and straightened my hair in less than 5 minutes. I like that there’s 3 different heat settings and I put it on the lowest and couldn’t believe how well it worked. I also love the swivel cord, so that I was comfortably able to move around with it.

The design and colors are beautiful and classy. The only negative I have to say is that it says it won’t snag hair, but it snagged the ends of my hair on the first swipe. Maybe I did something to cause that because it didn’t happen again after that.

First of all, I was very impressed by how fast this curling iron heats up! I was able to plug it in and start curling my hair in less than a minute. I also really appreciate how well this product is tailored to fine hair.

The silicone clip took a little getting used to, because I normally curl my hair from the root, then loosen the clip and pull the iron through. The silicone grabs onto the hair a little tighter than ceramic, but combined with the lower default heat settings, it was gentle on my hair and helped to maintain my natural volume.

I was pleasantly surprised by how my healthy the ends looked after I’d finished curling my hair, because a lot of times they end up looking dry after applying any kind of heat. I was able to achieve the beach-y curls I wanted and didn’t have to use a lot of spray to reinforce volume.

The curls lasted a long time! I slept on them and woke up the next morning with nice, just slightly looser waves. I was able to just brush my hair and go! My only concern about this curling iron would be its’ level of durability.

It’s very lightweight, with a handle that feels a bit fragile. Overall, the OhSoKind Curling Iron has been a wonderful addition to my collection of hair styling tools. I would recommend it to anyone with fine hair!.

I have very fine hair and have always been worried and disappointed when using heated styling tools (straighteners, curling irons). I try to use them on the lowest setting but the style never lasts and the setting never seems to get it straight or curled as well as the higher settings.

I was ready for a new flat iron since mine has seen better days and I started to look at what was available. Outside of the cord issue a lot of us had with a certain Chi model a few years back, I have loved this brand of flat irons from the moment I upgraded to a less expensive brand to Chi.

This new product is everything I expected and more. I am thrilled with the adjustable heat settings, the auto shutoff and how darn fast it heats up. I had fine hair but plenty of it and it has a slight wave if it dries naturally, my niece has naturally thick curly hair and this iron does a beautiful job on both types of hair.

The iron is fast, single pass, does not damage our color treated hair, and is so nice and easy to maneuver. I like the extra length of the iron, it actually makes it easier to work with. I would hands down recommend this without question to anyone looking for a great quality flat iron.

I will be picking up a second one to keep as a spare (I do this when I find great hair tools that I love). My new in box spare Magenta iron from CHI is going to my sister for xmas since she loves the one I have been using and she needs to upgrade from a non pro product.

That is also a great iron but, I am one to forget to shut mine off and hate running back up the stairs to see if I unplugged it before I run out the door for work. I need auto shutoff capability otherwise I would have restocked the one I already had.

Way to go on the new iron CHI!!!!.

I had seriously high hopes for this iron based on the price and the many reviews I read (elsewhere). I gave it a week and ended up returning it. My Sedu died (or so I thought) and it appeared that Ulta no longer carried it so I decided to go back to Chi, which I had always used prior to my last iron.

I was hesitant to spend this much on an iron because I have only been getting about a year or so out of them, granted I use it EVERY day. I had a 20% off coupon so I decided to give it a try. I should have paid closer attention to the details on the box because this iron has pre-set temps which may not be an issue for most but I happen to need a temp of 425 and with this iron it was either 410 or 435.

I did however like that the plates were longer than most irons and the cord is super long. I am not sure why this iron just didn’t do it for me because the plates are ceramic just like my previous iron but it was snagging my hair and taking several passes to smooth my hair.

My hair is wavy but coarse so it can be a little difficult but again, at this price I expected it to do the job. The good news is that my husband was able to repair my Sedu so I will stick with that until it dies once and for all and then I will start the replacement quest all over again.
