I was very excited to receive the gown and robe set for my daughter who is a brand new mother. I received it and it smelled like chemicals right out of the plastic bags. I could not give it to her smelling like that and washed it.

She tried it on and did not like it. Now I cannot return it because I washed it, because of the fit. You can’t give a new mom something that smells so harshly of chemicals. Very disappointed.

I haven’t had the chance to wear this. Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to wear this I will be saving it next time I have a baby. However the material is a little heavier which is nice because it can get cold in those hospital rooms.

I love it.

My daughter loved this set, she said it is super soft and has stretch. She is glad she will have a comfortable, pretty robe and gown to take to the hospital when the big day comes.

I ordered a L/xL gown thinking I would need to size up. wrong. So I shipped back to receive a smaller size! I emailed to ensure my package was being taken care of and baby be mine was RIGHT ON TOP OF IT.

As we all know babies have their own plan no matter how much we plan. I received this gown as a Christmas gift from my mom as we prepare for a January baby. At 35 weeks, I unexpectedly started having very close contractions and had to go to the hospital.

As I underwent the first round of observations, I was in a regular hospital gown. The nurses kept tugging up the hospital gown to check the monitors, it shifted as I attempted to rest, and we all know the show you give when you try to walk down the hall to go to the restroom.

Once I was admitted, I changed into my Kindred Bravely gown. It was amazing! Such a small piece of comfort went such a long way. The nurses even loved it! They all kept commenting how convenient and nice it was.

The entire front Velcros, so the nurses only had to un-velcro the small area to check the monitors. It has snaps around the arms which were perfect to fit around the blood pressure cuff. I could sleep comfortably as it didn’t move or come undone in the back.

And, getting up to go to the bathroom without having to cover my backside was just one less thing to worry about. Thankfully, we were able to head home and get keep this little one in a bit longer, but this gown immediately went in the wash to be packed for my delivery.

Soft, comfortable, good coverage and all the right openings. I purchased a different gown for my first pregnancy and it didn’t open down the front, only in the back which made it difficult when I had to strap the fetal heart rate monitor on my stomach.

It pulled the gown up so that I had to cover my bottom half with a sheet. I bought this gown for my second pregnancy because it opens in the front also so should be more practical and easier to wear.

I am 5’6” and was 170 lbs pre- pregnancy and currently at about 225 lbs, 46 in belly and got the XL-XXL and it fits just right. Loose but not huge on me. I debated whether it was worth it to buy a second one instead of just using the hospital gown but I will definitely feel more comfortable in this.

I was excited to wear this for my labor and delivery experience and only that part of my experience, but I ended up wearing it during my entire 4 1/2 day stay at the hospital and LOVED it. I’m even wearing it at home as I recover and nurse/pump.

It’s cute, comfortable, modest, and it has super easy access to the back, front, and *******. I don’t think I can say just how much I love this gown… many of my nurses also complimented it. Honestly it made my entire birthing experience better, as opposed to just being stuck in a hospital gown for days.

I think now I have a strong sentimental attachment to it!.

I absolutely love the Frida line for both my children and me. I’m currently expecting another little one aswell as still nursing so when I came across this nursing gown I had to give it a shot. I was not disappointed! I love reading the package because I feel that it almost talks to you like a normal person with phrases such as “The gown for when it goes down” and “pockets….

duh”. It makes it enjoyable and draws you in even before you open the package. Upon opening the package I noticed the gown had a little smell but it does state to wash first. Now let me tell you about this life changing gown!! It’s truly like wearing your favorite stretchy tee.

You know the one that you wear so much you have all those tiny holes but continue to wear year after year. It’s super soft, light and breathable, has a bit of weight on it but makes sense with the snaps and extra fabric.

It has pockets!!! Now who doesn’t love pockets? The pockets help especially while multitasking whether you got your hands full and carrying your little one and need an extra hand for your phone, little snack or even a bottle.

The gown also has snaps conveniently located on both sides of the chest for easy access either while delivering or even nursing. Not to mention snaps all down the back which add extra reassurance especially while up moving around.

The gown is one size and states that it stretches to fit most (xs-xl). For me I’m plus size (about 18-20) and this hugs all the curves like a form fitting dress with extra give. Every mother whether expecting or just delivered needs to have this gown! Not only is it super soft and functional but the grey color is reminiscent of a favorite tee vs the itchy bedsheet with string you usually get at the hospital.

The only think I would recommend besides maybe making bigger sizes is maybe add an extra color option or two for a wider variety such as light pink, light blue, flower print, etc. Other then that absolutely fantastic!.

I am 5’0 short and 120lbs. I can’t wear anything tight or constricting right now. I’m nearing the home stretch of baby’s arrival and anything maternity I wear is extremely uncomfortable right now. The gown is midi length on me and I like the coverage.

I spend 2-3 days a week in this gown even! Why? Because it is very comfortable and great for my cold climate pregnancy. Why only wear it once during your hospital stay, when it can be used for at home as well?! I highly recommend this product! I received it as a gift and wouldn’t have thought to purchase it for myself but am so glad I have it!.

I highly recommend this nursing gown to everyone! The material is so soft and stretchy, Jersey is way more comfortable material than the starchy gowns at the hospital. It’s loose fitting and would fit a variety of sizes.

I will be using it for any and all upcoming surgeries, including a double mastectomy. Both sides on top have snaps so you can undo one side or both. It snaps all the way up the back, so there’s no need to leave your rear end exposed.

The snaps themselves are good quality and easy to secure or open, which you want since you won’t have much energy to put into that. The snaps are discreet enough that you could wear it around the house, and no one will realize it’s for medical use.

This is definitely a must have for anyone breastfeeding or having surgeries. It’s also a nice, appropriate knee length.

Love this gown! The way it’s cut is amazing and it feels so comfortable, especially with having straps vs traditional sleeves!!! The material Is so soft and stretchy. I wish the size chart went by bust also, it only goes by belly.

I’m a 40DD regularly and 24 wks now, by belly size it told me xl/xxl but I ordered the m/l also to make sure I got the best fit. I understand why they didn’t list bust on the size chart given there’s room to let the girls be free and the fabric stretches.

The m/l fits MUCH better and feels more comfortable than the larger size with the only noticeable difference other than a little extra length was that it comes up a little higher/tighter under the arm pit but after wearing it for a few minutes I realized what I was noticing bothering me was actually the seam, I felt it on the front neck also, and it wasn’t that bad.

After a few more minutes I honestly didn’t even notice it anymore. This gown is amazing, I sent the link to my pregnant SIL so she can order one also!.

I got this gown with the labor & delivery bundle and it’s definitely my least favorite piece of the bundle. The snaps on the straps are pretty wimpy. The 2nd time I wore it, one of the snaps about broke off (its hanging by a thread).

The velcro on the back is scratchy as well. The material is nice and soft though. I didn’t see the point in wearing it during labor because I was having kid #3 and knew better than to wear something nice with all the blood and yuck of labor.

I was planning to just use it as nursing pajamas, but after 2 wears I think I may just retire it because I don’t live it.

I ordered the gown and labor socks. When they came in, the gown smelled overwhelmingly like chemicals. I let it sit out for 24 hours and it still smelled. I used a live chat to connect with someone and was told I could return it for full refund but I would have to pay for the shipping because the item wasn’t defective.

Not defective? A hospital gown being used for maternity should not smell of chemicals. I would consider that defective. They claimed nobody else has ever complained of that. I find that hard to believe.

She also said that once washed it wouldn’t smell anymore. Yet the return policy specifically states once it’s washed it can’t be returned. RIP OFF!.

I spent over $100. 00 weeks ago on multiple gowns and robes- I have not received the products nor have I been updated as to where they are. I sent an email as inquiry this past week- no response. I was really excited about finding this site and the products they offer however I am really disappointed and am not sure what to do other than caution others before buying!.

I received my items quickly. Once I opened the package there was a funny smell. I immediately washed the items and the brand name written inside was peeling off. I put them out to air dry.

I haven’t used it quite yet, but I’ve tried everything on already and it feels great. I know I will be so much more comfortable with my own clothing on while at the birth center. I got a measure tape from Amazon before ordering the clothing since KB gives instructions on how to take your own measurements and everything fit me really well.

Received this as a gift from my mother in law and I basically lived in it at the hospital! Its very comfortable and soft, not too heavy but still enough to keep you warm. I labored in it until I got too hot and then wore it the entire time postpartum.

It made nursing easy and comfortable. I continue to wear this robe a lot at home. My baby girl loves the swaddle blanket and hat!! It’s one of the best swaddle blankets we have. Fabric is nice and stretchy and very soft.

The beautiful print also made for nice pictures! She got me the L/XL and I’m 5’8″, pre-pregnancy weight was about 175lbs and I was about 200lbs going into the hospital. It fit perfect and could stretch if need be.

I had been eyeing babybemine since I found out I was pregnant. I was so excited. I really wanted the Celeste print but it never came back from out of stock so I got the Nicole. When i finally received the products they felt like sand paper and smelled like chemicals.

I have washed them a few times and tried to use fabric softeners (which are bad for babies) just to make the material less like cardboard. Really sad and disappointed with the end result of the product.

The robe and matching baby swaddle blanket were perfect. My daughter had been talking about these for months and I waited until the last minute to order directly from you so she wouldn’t see the purchase on her registry.

I got this just in case I had a c-section, however, I ended up not needing one at all. I was still able to use some of the stuff that came in the c-section recovery kit though. The bag that it all came in is just the cutest and very convenient to keep everything all in one place.

I really love the grip socks that came in the kit I think they’re very comfortable and hospital floors are so slippery of course you gotta have some grip socks so they’re perfect to put in the L&D bag.

I didn’t like the upside down peri bottle as much as I thought I would. I feel like the quality of the peri bottle could definitely be better. The skip the shower wipes are great to wipe yourself down for those days you don’t feel up to taking a shower because I know I definitely didn’t feel like it some days.

I still used the disposable c-section postpartum underwear because after having a baby I promise you disposable underwear is your best friend and will be the only comfy thing. The postpartum abdominal support binder is amazing even if you didn’t have a c-section…anything that compresses your belly feels amazing after having a baby.

I didn’t need the silicone scar patches and didn’t use them so I can’t really say much about those. Overall I think it’s 100% worth it other than the peri bottle I feel like the one the hospital gave me was better.

I am loving the Frida Mom brand for all things pregnancy and birth. This kit is perfectly filled with essentials need for recovery immediately following childbirth. The is an ab support binder, disposable underwear, wipes, silicone patches and most importantly a peri bottle for bathroom use.

Those are lifesavers. Every mom needs this kit, because it is filled with stuff we might not immediately think is needed or remember from previous births. This is the perfect gift for yourself, or a s gift for an expected mother, even if they are fortunate enough not to have to get a C-section.

The only recommendation I have to add to the box are breast pads for leaky nipples.

I like that this gown is black (let’s be real: anything is better than the hospital gown that they give you in L & D). Unfortunately, I found that the top (chest area) was a little big and that the bottom (hips/belly area) was a little snug.

For reference, I am 36 weeks, 190 pounds and this is my third pregnancy. I ordered a size L. ***MAMAS BEWARE*** do NOT buy anything that is final sale from this site! As some of you may know, there are only two storefronts left in the US: one in Chicago and one in New York.

So, if you were to buy an item that is ineligible for return, it doesn’t fit you and you do not live in one of those two cities, you are SOL!!! Shame on you, Destination Maternity! Pretty heartless to do this to pregnant women during such a challenging time to find clothes that fit.

I ended up being in the hospital due to an early induction and an emergency c-section. For the first three days, the nurses loved that they could do everything they needed while I wore my own gown. I was comfortable in the fabric, that it smelled like home and happy to be decent.

After the surgery, I was stuck in the hospital gown for another few days and absolutely miserable. Needless to say, I just purchased a second gown for baby number 2 so that I will never have to wear a hospital gown again! The back snaps came in handy for the epidural, the skirt snaps came in handy when any doctors or midwives had to check out my progress, and the side hole for the wires were amazing since I didn’t have to have anything hanging out while being attached to the monitor.

I told all the other ladies in my pregnancy group to get one and I will tell everyone else the same thing.

It’s so comfortable, it’s become my favorite nightgown. Currently 37 weeks, purchased it around 30 and wear it as often as I can. Love the pockets, love the gentle material, love the fit. I just hope it’s clean when it’s time to head to the hospital, because I can’t bring myself to pack it away in my hospital bag: I’m too attached!.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The accounts given by other women and the expertise of the authors really helped to clear up a few questions in my mind about the birthing process. I’m planning a homebirth for my first child and I only wish that the book spent a few more chapters going over that part of the process.

I find the urge to get artsy compelling, but I couldn’t really relate to it like I wanted to. Overall, good read with fantastic stories and valuable insights from women and men who have gone through the process before.

Awesome book that looks at the emotions that surround labor and birth. Has many activities to help you explore your own feelings, fears and emotions. It is not your average birth book that talks about anatomy and the physiology of birth.

Would highly recommend this book to all pregnant ladies. Even if you think it might be a bit hippie! Fantastic, positive look at labour. Love it.

I borrowed and read this book during my first 2 pregnancies that ended with successful Natural Childbirth in a hospital. While reading through the first time I wondered how well the relaxation techniques worked and how accurrate the Emotional Signposts were.

Just after delivering my first, my husband and I agreed that the book was right on and such a blessing! The information was even much more useful in my second delivery, having experienced how well the Bradley method works.

I am now pregnant with my 3rd and decided it was time to buy my own book. I have been reading through it again and look forward to my 3rd unmedicated delivery in the next few weeks. This is a book that I keep away from my young children as the pictures are quite revealing (understatement!).

But it is #1 on my favorite book list for expecting women. This book is written so that it is easy reading. Everything is easy to understand and follow and has helpful pictures. I am so glad to have my own copy to share with friends, as I recommend this book to EVERYONE expecting, even if not 100% sold on the idea of being UNMEDICATED.

This book has so much great information that everyone should know, even if not hoping for a “natural childbirth”. And it’s info not found in “What to Expect. ” and other popular books. There are NO Bradley Method classes near my area at all, so I read this book without taking (or needing) any childbirth classes.

I bought this for my daughter in law. I used this book for myself for 3 home births, especially if your having a water birth. The the technique Is much much higher than lamaze which I new from my first 3 children born in hospital.

Follow close and practice. Dr. Bradley is a mayo clinic doctor and strategy he put together working with the women for what works!.

I used this book in place of an expensive birthing class. I felt well-prepared. However, the photos show women fully nude and I didn’t feel comfortable with my husband seeing. So, I shared information with him as best as I could and when needed, used a black colored pencil to color clothing on the ladies.

I read Ina May Gaskins Guide to Natural Childbirth 10 years ago after a horrible first birth and was expecting my second. It was great! I had an amazing birth experience with my second child. So now im pregnant again, i ordered Spiritual Midwifery after reading all the wonderful reviews.

Well I wish i hadn’t. I think it has made me more unprepared. Half the book was written by hippies (not Ina May) and they basically all said the same things. Repeatitive, repeatitive, repeatitive. Dont bother.

I absolutely love Ina May Gaskins Guide to childbirth. The first half is just endless positive birth stories that made me feel wonderful. Then the second half is serious but informative. A lot of her stance is very similar to hypnobirthing so it reiterates much of the same philosophy – its defo still worth reading and made me feel so empowered and excited about rye journey agesd.

Incredible book. Full of valuable information not commonly discussed by doctors and empowering birth stories from real women. This is not sugar-coated; some of the stories are difficult, but it is very real and offers a powerful perspective and reminder of the strength of women.

I haven’t tried it on yet, so I hope it fits. I still have a couple more months to go, but it’s super cute, especially with the matching pillowcase. The color I originally wanted was out of stock, but when this one came to my door, I realized that I love the color! It’s beautiful and will make an amazing keepsake of the big day!.

This would be very awesome considering I’m a very picky person and I would want to be as comfy as possible on my D day! And this looks like it is very very comfy and the pillow looks awesome to sleep on!.
