20 Best Hose Reel For Pressure Washer (2023 Updated)

Have used for quite awhile now with no issues. Bottom line it is a good commercial grade hose reel. You get what you pay for. This is not a home improvement store reel.

Very pleased with the hose reel, spool tensioning mechanism works very well keeping the hose from over spooling unnecessary hose and does not create too much torque when re-spooling. Very pleased with the reel and its construction.

Will be purchasing additional Cox hose reels as I build new spray units Thanks.

I just installed it a few days ago, so I ‘ve only used it twice, but so far, it’s perfect! Ok, so I received it pretty quickly, about 5 or 6 days and came in a standard heavy duty DeWalt box. Every part was in good shape and all parts were there.

Putting the handle on was easy enough, might need to unroll some of the hose to get access to the bolt furthest back. For those that complained about air leaks, just use tape on the threads. I got mine up to 100 psi and not even one teeny, tiny leak.

Connected the hoses appropriately to my compressor, easy peasy. While the entire unit is pretty heavy, it’s not heavy enough to keep the unit in place when unrolling or even rolling the hose back up for that matter.

There are 4 bolt holes on the bottom plate, so I drilled holes into my shelf and bolted it down. It is solid! The rolling action is super slick and smooth. There is a pin that you can pull out and twist to engage a lock or to allow it to move freely.

I expected a better product having the DeWalt name on it. First, it doesn’t “feel” sturdy and in fact it is not. Second, after mounting, I hooked up my air hose and the fitting on the hose reel hissed like an angry snake.

I’d be angry too (and was) if someone had taken a bite out of me for when I disassembled the connection (which I should not have had to do) I found that one of the o-rings that seals the connection had been forced into place and a piece had been gouged out of it.

So off to the hardware store I went to get one. I noticed upon installing it that the interior of the fitting was rough so I had to exercise care in assembly to keep from taking a similar bite out of the new o-ring.

This would have been clearly noticed if the unit had been tested before leaving the Chinese factory (thus the problem: China). Third, the hose reel locking mechanism does not work and would have been noticed, too, if factory-tested.

Placed in the unlock position, the reel is still locked up. I have to fully extend the release and rig it in place in order to pull the hose off. Fourth, the mounting bracket is so flimsy that it bent upon use.

I had to re-bend it into place and now have to be careful how I pull off the hose. I would have been better off buying a Harbor Freight Chinese made unit for half the cost and probably half the hassle.

Find a different product to replace this hunk of junk. I’m already looking for a new unit NOT made in China and NOT DeWalt.

I am very glad that I decided to save money and buy this Dewalt manual hose reel. It is far more compact than a spring-loaded hose reel and I dont have to worry about a retraction mechanism breaking after a few months.

The reel, handle, and mounting fixture are constructed of strong steel and the hose is robust and flexible. In fact, I believe that the hose, alone, is worth most of the cost of this hose reel. Pull a single pin and the reel easily slides off of the mounting plate so that you can carry it outside or in your truck.

A second pin on the side of the reel enables you to lock the reel, if desired. The quality and utility of this manual hose reel makes it a great value.

American name, made in China. May as well go to Harbor Freight if you want cheap stuff. The reel handle on this is very loose, it appears that the riveting was poorly done. My other compressor has a Rapid Reel, made in the USA.

Better quality, but I could not find one so I bought this one. It does the job, just wish DeWalt would sell American-made products.

Hose reel came with a defective o-ring and leaked profusely at the reel pivot joint. Had an o-ring in my shop that fit so repaired it rather than go through the hassle of returning the reel. New ring and it holds pressure indefinitely.

Hose is good quality, pulls out smoothly and reels back in very well. Nice replacement for the 40 yr old hose I had been using. Well worth the money just disappointed at the lack of quality control at the factory.

I like the quality but the overall size is too small for 100′ of hose. I have two 50′ hoses I received from a business starter kit here on this site. The hose has a hard time bending to connect to the swivel connector on the hose reel.

The worst problem is when connecting two 50′ hoses together on the reel. Where the hoses connect, there’s no bending, which makes it hard to wrap around the reel. The bulge that results from where the hoses connect, bind up at the bottom of the reel.

I don’t want to have to buy a continuous 100′ hose because I already spent so much on the two 50′ hoses that came with the business kit. Having known this problem, I would have purchased the larger 200′ reel just so there would be more room for 100′ of hose.

The 100′ completely fills the reel.

The installation was straightforward, just remove fittings and reinstall with teflon tape. They provide a bracket to attach over pipe frame which was good for me, no drilling required. The crank handle, the first thing you assemble, is under sized and wobbly.

It works, so far, but will probably be upgraded sooner or later. You need to supply your own whip hose, to connect pump to reel. And you need your own teflon tape, and, don’t try to skimp. remove brass fittings and reinstall with teflon tape.

All in all, a good hose reel for the money, just not perfect. Thanks,Tom.

I was REALLY hoping this would work on my uberaflex Hose. It’s X100000000 better than I expected! I highly recommend this to EVERYONE! Once I get a second truck for my business I’m gonna buy another one!.

First, the connector that goes into the spooled area was turned out and not facing the hole. Next, when we connected the lower hose to the reel, the brass connector broke. Not impressed. Once fixed, it is working fine.

If you want to connect an air hose right into the side of the hose reel then you need a 3/8-IN MIP x 1/4-IN FIP bushing. Other than hunting this piece down for a few days the unit is awesome. Super high quality from insides to metal on housing and reel to paint to 4 way rollers on hose outlet this is the one to get.

Spend the extra $40-$50 from a cheap unit to get this one. I spent hours looking in Home Essentials Direct at all of them. 1/4 air hose is plenty for anything I need for home garage and the air volume is much less then bigger hose so less work for your compressor.

If you want to mount in stud on Sheetrock then you will need to make a wood base plate. And buy the hex head screws to mount reel to base plate. This is not a design flaw just a reality.

Well made reel that is easy to setup with bolt pattern not obscured by reel itself. Plastic reel is heavy duty and locks in place without an issue. Unlike other cheaper models, no leaks in the standard hardware and a good rubber hose.

Now that I have had this reel in constant use for over two years in our shop, I can say that the comments complaining about plastic are safe to ignore. The reel is plastic, yes. Are you beating on it with a hammer or subjecting it to force that would cause it to break under normal use? No.

How can you break it? Well, you can’t, or at least nobody I work with is ignorant enough to do so. The plastic never rusts, makes the reel lighter when hanging it, lowers the price, and I can’t see why it is a problem to some people.

Great reel, my only complaint is the connections on my version were 1/4″, I would have preferred straight 3/8″ all the way through to take advantage of 3/8″ body industrial connectors that don’t go below 1/4″ NPT, but that is not the norm.

After looking at several cheaply made hose reels that the big box stores sell I found this one. The price is definitely higher but the build quality is too. It is built with a much thicker gauge metal and high quality fittings, plus the paint job seems to be excellent quality too.

I am very pleased with my purchase.

Installed 2 on a Simpson gas pressure washer, each one is holding 50 of 1/4 pressure washer hose and I Also installed 2 of these on my Graco airless paint sprayer, 1 holding 75 of spray hose (barely) and other is holding 100 of extension cord (with plenty left).

Both setups are WAY cleaner and easier then wrapping hose on the factory places (or trying to wrap the hose).

Advertised as pressure hose reels. No si much. Cant put very much 3/8 air hose let alone a 50 OS hose sent it back

It fit the bill exactly what I wanted for my pressure washer will hold up to a 30 foot hose

First one arrived all bent up and with chips/scratches. Even the shaft was bent on one side and it just wasn’t turning well. Packaging was not sufficient to protect it well. Got a replacement and it was also bent on the sides.

Tried one last time for a third one and it was also not rotating well. Either it was factory defective with a bad bearing or it took a hard hit during shipment, but this one would barely turn and was very rough.

Unit is of quality construction, with provided mounting holes. I used a 4″U clamp to attach o the 2″square tube draw bar. A section of 3/8″reinforce tube was placed between the piping providing the supply, and a shrt section with a ball valve at the reel.

This prevents any binding at the swivel to prevent uneven pressure on theO-ring seals. It held a full 250″spool of 1/4″Flexzilla hose for a hand wand.

First off this is a very well build reel. I am currently using it in the mining industry and it is holding up great. We mounted it on the sealing of the building so it would be out of everyone’s way.

Just keep in mind it took two guys holding it up and one guy to tighten the bolts down. The only thing to complain about is the fact that it doesn’t come with a hose swivel??? I have no idea why it wouldn’t have one but I did have to buy that separately.

We have had several retractable plastic hoses reels and they never hold up. Have looked at the ReelCraft reels for years and finally decided to spend the money. Shipping was so fast (and free) I received my order the next day.

The hose reel was also the lowest price I could find on the internet by $100!! It meets all expectations except that the hose is 71ft NOT 75ft as advertised. I called Zoro CS to express my displeasure and they immediately offered to send me out a new hose reel!!! The new hose arrived within 2 days!!! Unfortunately the hose was the same length as the original but we decided to keep it because it will last for decades during home use!! Can’t say enough about Zoro’s outstanding Customer Service!!! I was looking for a hose reel for a power washing set up and was having a hard time making the decision on actually picking one out and buying it. I seen this and other big name reels like Cox reels, Hanny reels and others I thought that maybe there is a reason why this one is a lot cheaper than the others, but I finally made the decision and purchased this reel and I am happy I did.

So I got a perfect reel for what I was wanting I don’t care about the names of things, I care that they perform good and do what they are made for and advertised for so I can make money with! Making money is what I started my business for, not to have big name brand things.

This is a great reel for anyone looking for a reel for there power washing setups, it doesn’t leak, it is strong and heavy-duty. Just what I wanted I’m actually leaving this review while I’m on the page to purchase my 2nd one.

Just wanted to help out someone in my situation that I was in a while ago.

Just what I needed and wanted. It took weeks to find this and at the right price compared to many others who are ripping people off. Also, this one ships and arrives faster than any other reels I could find.

To light and falls over all the time. Doesn’t have a strong spray when using soap. Wished I could return for my money back. Not satisfied with the product. Will still be able to use it but will have to use rag to clean whatever I’m washing.

Not the product that was advertised.

I used it the first day and it operated fine. The second time I used it, however, the fan nozzle started spraying out the side where it adjusts the fan. Continued spraying, no matter what I tried to adjust it, till this day.

Over all, a good product, just not happy about it spraying all over me while operating it.

The product is ok. Holder not good for cord. The soap spray doesn’t spray very well. You have to very close to object in order to get soap on it. Other then that no complaints

This hose rewinder is a blessing for those of us who do not want to haul a heavy hose around the yard or even use a spindly arm to manually rewind it. I was devastated when I accidentally backed into my 1st one and broke off the hose connector — mainly because I had a very difficult time finding a replacement.

I even wrote to Suncast for help with my search. After a time without my automatic rewinder, I finally found a few online — but for a prices 2-3 times what I originally paid for it. Then Walmart came to my rescue! I ordered a replacement for myself and it’s every bit as great as I remembered.

Then I ordered another Walmart “Suncast Powerwind Auto Power Rewind Hose Reel” for my sister as an 80th birthday gift! She loves it!.

The idea and concept are great. And it works great so far (1 week). The unit I received came looking like it had been opened and returned to the supplier. The lid was out of the hinge retainer and the hose guide shaft was also popped out of it’s retainer.

The entire unit seemed somehow to be sprung. I put the lid and hose guide shaft back into their slots. However the lid did not close properly and would not activate the switch which prevent operation when the lid is open.

I had to modify the lid retainer by adding spacers to the left side to keep the lid moved over to the right a little so it would consistently activate the microswitch when the lid is closed. I don’t know if the are all built with the potential problem, because the material used is molded vinyl and doesn’t retain it’s shape like metal would.

I called the supplier to complain and had intended to return the item. However, there were no other units in stock at any suppliers. The vender that supplied the item to Walmart for sale, offered me a $50 refund, if I would accept the unit as is.

I accepted the offer and added spacers to the lid shaft to make it work. So far it seems to work OK. It does look a little cockeyed, but so far seems to work good. It is very fast and convenient to use.

Much faster than the automatic water rewinder I have.

I recieved my Power-Wind Rechargeable Hose Reel yesterday 15th of March 2022. I read the manual I charged the battery like it say to in the manual. Assembled everything way the manual said. The Power-Wind Motor-Driven Rechargeable Hose Reel will not work.

You have too use the hand crank too wind the hose, which is very hard for me. I am total disabled Veteran with little to no strength in my hands or arms. So before you consider buying this product, you need to have the upper body strength too manually operate it.

It is a genuine product, and I had no problem fitting it
