20 Best Eye Shadow For Brown Eyes (2023 Updated)

I love this palette of eyeshadow. High pigmented long lasting wear. Easy to blend. It’s easy to apply flawless coverage. I have been using this product just about everyday. I would recommend trying this out.

I will be buying it again! And it very reasonably price.

I saw this product at half price in Skyward, and the BBAccess said I’d have a reward if a full sized product at £150/ points (only being offered full sized products at 200 points now 😲), so I bought it.

I LOVE Bobbi Brown shadow sticks, I’ve received a few as GWP, from events, and subscription boxes, and bought some at Boots when there was a points offer. I have dusty mauve, a lovely mid purple shade, opal pink? It’s gorgeous! Incandescent, (absolutely stunning) golden bronze, (deep but very pretty.

almost like foil, lovely for kids for Smokey eyes) taupe (great as a shadow base too ) and now skyward. Skyward is much lighter and greener than I expected, I thought it’d be a deeper gold with a hint of green.

I have pale skin and deep brown eyes, with freckles. It compliments my skin tone nicely. These sticks stay on all day, I use a brush to blend a tiny bit, not much, the sticks practically do it for you, and the colours are always beautiful.

I used to love full on glitter, but I’m 36, and I’ve been trying to find glitzy but more mature eyeshadows. I’m have dyslexia and need quick and easy makeup to use when in a rush, which is a lot, thanks ADHD 🙈 These fit into my routine perfectly, and my sometimes sensitive skin loves them.

I really do want every colour. You need to do a Christmas set of the wrong range in deluxe size 😍😍😍 I now own 3 of your eyeshadow palettes too 🙈.

I really like how easy these apply, their portabilaty and versatility. You can use them as a base, liner, or main shadow. They work well with other long-wear colors or in combination with powder shadows.

However you apply them they will look the same at the end of the day, never fading, rubbing or wearing off, no matter how much you sweat! I always use one of these as a lid color. I swipe and pat with my finger.

If I use them as my crease and brow color I do have to work one eye at a time. Once you swipe the color on you have about 30 sec to blend it out before it sets. You can build up your coverage but after a while you can easily learn the pressure you need to apply the right amount of product in the first swipe.

The pigments are well saturated so I apply with a light hand and blend out with a brush or my finger. You only need a small portion of the tip pushed up. I have never had one break doing this. The only con I have is the shadows can be drying in the winter so I usually use a powder when it gets too dry out.

I have fair neutral skin, light hair and eyes. I like a natural neutral look. I also do not like shimmer and glitter. It doesn’t look good on mature eyes no matter how much I’m told it will make they look “dewey”.

It makes them look crepey! I use matte colors. The vanilla, soft peach and shell (my asbsolute new favorite color) are my lid colors. All of these hide my dark blue red “allergy” eye discoloration. My crease and brow colors are shadow (gray brown), bark (deep brown), Taupe (light brown with a redish tint), Malted pink (not my favorite – a darker red pink), Dusty Mauve (this is a shimmer but ever so slightly and is a nice wine brown shade), and sand (a neutral medium tan).

I wear these to work or on a night out. All the colors can be made softer or more intense depending on the occasion.

I’m a huge fan of some of the matte colors. Taupe, Stone and Shore are staples for me. Nude Beach is a nice neutral lid color, while described as a shimmer color, I don’t see any shimmer when applied.

All of these apply beautifully and last on my eyes. Truffle is another favorite of mine, it is a lovely subtle shimmer for highlighting under the brow. Moonstone is neutral and I have applied it for an evening look, although I find it to drop sparkles around my face.

Mica is pretty but a messy metallic, more sparkles around the face after application. The sparkle colors all are messy as they leave sparkles on my face, regardless if applied by stick, finger or brush.

The Pinks and Golden Bronze not only leave the sparkles all over, these colors are splotchy in texture when applied. I would love more true subtle shimmers like Truffle, they would be so much nicer than the sparkle mess.

So I recommend the matte colors as well as Nude Beach and Truffle only.

To be honest!!! If I’m giving a chance to get a collection of this kind of brand /items, probably I can review it in my own perspective, but right now I have nothing to say, cos I don’t have the product Yet.

How you gonna review it, if there’s no sample from this brand? So I don’t know the Pros and the cons yet, or there’s nothing for me to say yet so yeah, hopefully I can submit a review about this brand in the future.

best liquid eyeshadow I’ve ever tried and very affordable. is a nice earthy green and enhances the green and gold tones in my eyes. It doesn’t crease and last all night. its a bit grainy when removing so he sure to use a good makeup remover.

This is old a bit dried but for the price these are great options. They aren’t designed the best for getting product out though, there’s always tons left in there when I can use it anymore.

Of course there are many, many warm tones eyeshadow palettes out there to buy and try, they seem to have been saturating the makeup market lately. That being said, this one from Dose of Colors is by far my favorite.

I was using Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes as my everyday go too, but they do not have a black color in their color line up, and was a bit bulky to carry around for traveling. However, the black color in this palette is true black, rich and creamy to work with, and blend, and the size of the palette is great for traveling, with the pans inside still being quite large! I also love the ombré effect these shadows give when applied to the lid, and the way these are set up in the pan from lightest to darkest takes out the guess work of knowing which color goes best with with the other colors in the palette- which is great for eyeshadow beginners.

A plus is that the brush it comes with is actually pretty decent, I have top quality shadow brushes, and I’ll still use this brush with this and other shadows that I have. The only downside to this particular palette is that the formula is a bit powdery and does have quite a bit off fall out, which is very common and normal with high pigment, high color payoff shadows such as this one.

Use a light hand, tap off the excess powder before application, and make sure you use eyeshadow shields to protect your under eye area and you should be fine. Just anticipate that the fallout from these shadows could ruin your foundation and contouring if your skin makeup is applied before your eye makeup.

I love this all day wear powder shadow! It performs so well on the skin and I always get such good results when I use this! They are such pretty colors and they look gorgeous on the skin. I recommend it to all my friend and would recommend it to anyone who asked for a great liquid liner!.

Have only used Almay eye products for years. This is my absolute favorite palate and i constantly get compliments on how nice it looks. Would highly recommend. It’s very affordable and gives nice coverage.

I will continue to purchase this product.

I received this @Mac eyeshadow from American Influencer. its called Amber Lights. I absolutely love @Mac eyeshadow. The best on the market. It lasts all day even without primer. I use my finger to apply and a brush to blend, it blends out so easy.

The pigment is great, way more pigmented than any other shadow. I can wear it alone and it looks beautiful. Or I can wear with other eyeshadow. A little on the spendy side but well worth my money. I highly recommend that you try it, you won’t go back to other brands.

I used this product for the first time on NYE for a quite unexpected dinner with the most special gentleman in my life. The sparkle eye shadow was easy to apply to my eyelids – very lightly over my existing eye shadow.

It was just the right color and added the extra boost I needed for a wonderful date night. This eye shadow is long wearing and another quality Bobbi Brown product. This eye shadow made me feel ever so sparkly all evening, even through the midnight champagne toast.

I hated to return these absolutely gorgeous eyeshadows but. the sparkle just went everywhere! No matter how I applied it. with my fingers or with a flat brush or slightly dampened. the sparkle just went all over my face and especially under my eyes! Such a shame because the colors are so beautiful! I hope BB can re-work this formula to make it stay put!! Sad to have to return Baby Peach and Lilac! :(.

I first became addicted to Bobbi Brown back in 2012 after seeing an advert in a magazine for the release of her Black Chocolate Range. I just thought to myself, ‘I have to try these!!’ Since then I have come to own and love absolutely all of Bobbi Browns Sparkle eye shadows as well as numerous other colours and sets from her expansive range, and I couldn’t be happier! These eye shadows are so simple to use.

with one swipe of a finger, there is enough glitter to comfortably cover the eyelid. After a consultation with a very lovely gentleman Ivan at the BB counter in Fenwicks, Mayfair, I learnt that the reason why these eye shadows are so special is because Bobbi uses a certain pearl which when grounded, produces the unique and fine glitter sparkle.

This is hence why the shadows are a little pricey. But despite the price, I would thoroughly recommend these shadows for absolutely any occasion!! since 2012 I have only ever run out of 2 of the shadows (ltd Edition Black Chocolate 22.

) and that is because I use them every day. They last for a very long time and have never broken when I have dropped them or had them in my bag. They are just perfection!! Therefore even if you’re sceptical about the price, just buy the one you like the colour of most and I guarantee you will not be disappointed, ever! Thank you Bobbi!!.

I love these little Huda obsessions palettes. There is only 9 shades so I don’t get overwhelmed by looking at it or sit there for 2 hours trying to figure out what shades to use or what kind of look I should do.

They are travel friendly as well as drop friendly. I wouldn’t recommend intentionally dropping it but I have on occasion dropped mine only to find they are still in one full piece when picked back up, where as some palettes would have been smashed! The formula is amazing it’s pigmented and buildable, so far the ones I have used have blended quite nicely without turning muddy on me! Over all these are lovely little palette.

If I could I would get all of them! I will say there is 1 or 2 shades in every one I have which is about 6 or 7 that does take a bit more patience with blending, it’s usually one of the shimmer glitter type shades.

I found that using a flat brush and pressing it on gently then buffing with a fluffy eye brush helps a lot with these shades or just press and leave it be like in the middle of the lid works well too.

Even with this I still adore these lovely little palettes! My favorite obsessions palette is the emerald green one but I just got a few more so we see if that changes!.

love this palette, I feel like it isn’t getting as much love as the other two palettes. I originally ordered the Chocolate and Toffee palettes. I didn’t get the Caramel because I have the ND Bronze palette, but ended up purchasing it anyway because of all the beautiful looks everyone was making.

I like this palette because I love the tones,they are the brown tones I had been searching for. I feel like it is the perfect palette for an easy soft everyday look, or can amp it up with a smokey look so easily and in a small travel friendly palette.

I also like the fact that the shimmers in this palette are super smooth and not over sparkly. Maybe that is why some people aren’t as happy with the shimmers. But as with someone with aging eyes I prefer the smoother shimmers.

I don’t have the New Nudes or the Naughty Nudes, but loved this so much I ordered the Naughty Nudes that I had been “pining” away for during the Sephora sale. I feel if you like easy to make simple brown looks with smooth shimmers you would like this look.

If you are looking for something super sparkly this may not be for you. I personally love it!.

After hearing about Huda Beauty for a while now, nothing but positive things of course, I was excited to see these color palettes available for add on in my boxycharm box last month with what I considered a reasonable price or so I thought.

I had difficulty picking just one, since each color scheme offered looked bright and stunning! I was able to settle for Ruby Obsessions given the bright reds, orangey, mauves “ish” colors that I don’t really have a lot that bright in my current makeup collection.

The packaging is beautiful includes a mirror attached to the inside of the lid, that is a plus for me that is usually on the go, sometimes when a palette doesn’t I feel a little disappointed. The over all look of the palette with packaging is gorgeous, each eyeshadow shade is too die for, blends easily, very bright pigment only one swatch the color showed very beautifully and was smooth, the colors as I said aren’t ones I have normally or in my collection if any, the bottom left shadow when you open the palette facing you a shimmer coral red is a little bit patchy, I had to adjust my swatch a bit and it smoothed out but it’s not as shimmery as the other Shimmers in the palette not sure if that was intentional or not but that was the only TINY issue I found with the product itself.

Another thing that is my own fault for not properly looking at details when purchasing was I was VERY disappointed with the size I mean this eye shadow palette is incredibly tiny for the price! I have paid the same price before for full size palettes! This was the littlest square I had no idea 9 shadows could be crammed into such a small square, my nars bronzer and blush duo is bigger than this palette, I have ABH bronzers that are a bit bigger than this square, when swatching the shadows my fingers could barely fit and move over the eyeshadows without going into the other, it’s very small item, so I hope I can get good use out of it since it’s fairly small amount of product.

Very pretty product and good quality but very small tiny amount. For the pictures I started top left hand corner light peach and went straight down each column the last two swatches on the outer arm are the last two right bottom corner colors! Hope that helps.

Recently I was on a shopping mission to find some beautiful cool toned eyeshadows. I was helped by a lovely consultant at JL Trafford Centre who showed me both this palette and the more neutral taupe one in the same range (which I also bought).

This palette is more cool toned rose tones, verging on plum, but unlike a lot of palettes in this colour scheme, the toned stay true to the palette on my skin. A lot of palettes pull really orange on me! The shadows are lovely and soft and blend well.

They have enough – but not too much – pigment and, overall are a pleasure to use. If other rosy neutrals make you look like an Oompa Loompa but you love the colour scheme, I would recommend giving this a try! It’s really beautiful!.

I have been searching for the Twilight eyeshadow and the Bahama brown blush since I got the Desert Twilight collection in approximately 2011. Luckily, the salesperson encouraged me to get almost everything in the collection because the colors were perfect for me.

I have been searching for dupes every since. Also the honeyed tea tube of cheek/lip product was amazing. BB has ventured far from her based on brown colors philosophy that made me fall in love with the line in the nineties.

The colors are now bright and mostly cool, and the same as every other Estee Lauder company. The Twilight shade in this palette is completely different from the original one. It is a light bronze. All the colors in the palette are the same tone except for the liner shade, making for a difficult time forming an eye design based on graduated depths of color.

I am confused about the great reviews, I had to return it. Please bring back the brown based colors that put this line on the map. The only other Estee Lauder line I loved, also for its color based system was Prescriptives, and they are gone as well.

I have been looking for the Twilight eyeshadow and the Bahama Brown brown blush that both came in palettes in the Desert Twilight collection of 2010 or 2011!! That Eyeshadow was the only color. besides the base, that I used from that palette and I loved it.

I have purchased so many BB palettes because they seem to be discontinuing their single eyeshadow colors, in hopes of finding or mixing this color! Imagine how thrilled I was to see that it was back in a small palette! Unfortunately, the Twilight color in this palette is nothing like the previous version.

It is a very light bronze color. All colors in this palette have very little pigmentation, and use without a primer is almost worthless! I was soooooooo disappointed. I have to start looking for other brands, because my loyalty to this brand has cost me a lot of money and the constant release of new and expensive palettes and constant discontinuation of good, reliable products is costly and exhausting! I don’t understand the good reviews, I found these colors to range from a little warm to extremely cool and, even if they had pigmentation, could only have found a use for 2 of them!.

I absolutely adore these shades. I like having all these shades in one handy container. Have many options to choose from. Mix and match to get the look your going for. Perfect to carry around with you.

Something I wouldn’t normally buy but wanted something different. Glad i went out my comfort zone and did because it’s Amazing!

When I looked at the pallet I immediately liked the colors and thought this was a great selection for a really good price. Unfortunately you usually get what you pay for or in this case, I got even less.

Although the colors appear nice and versatile, they have very little pigment. I tried applying them on my arm to display all of the colors but they were barely noticeable and I shave fair skin. That’s when I decided to try a tissue.

These shadows are nothing like what I’m used to normally with Bobbi Brown. I recommend saving your money and forget this kit. I’ll be donating mine.

This is a lovely palette. I have been using it everyday for work. The colours are blendable and very soft and neutral. I bought the palette mainly for the purple shade – Amethyst night. A little dissappointed that is doesn’t look like the arm swatches in the photo – it’s darker and so the satin shimmer is harder to see.

I dropped a star purely for that reason but other than that am really happy with the palette. Also love that it is cardboard palette rather than plastic. Definitely a good gift for a makeup lover at Xmas as very safe colour combos.

I wanted to love this palette but sadly it’s not for me and I was very disappointed. I wouldn’t describe the colours and warm neutrals, there are probably three that I would say are neutral but the others are quite pigmented and almost orange in tone.

I have sadly tried it out so unfortunately it will go down as an expensive mistake. Bobbi palettes from the past were always so universal and the colours would work beautifully together, such a shame they don’t make them like they used to! Maybe this would be better with someone who has a richer skin tone.

I received this product for free from Too Faced + Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Honestly I’ve been wanting to try a Too Faced palette for a long time, so I’m very grateful for the opportunity to test and review this product! I”m a sucker for neutral eyeshadows, so while I’m not too impressed by the color story, I can easily see myself using this daily for neutral everyday makeup.

The pops of color are pretty in the palette, but I find that these lighter shimmers can be finicky to work with. For instance, I really have to dip my brush in quite a bit to pick up the pigment (mainly in: milk it, ooey gooey, sugar rush and bless your heart).

Using a finger or wet helps a little. The mattes and the darker shimmers on the other hand overall blend nicely and are well-pigmented. Personally I feel like some of the matte shades are very close in color, (I posted a swatch on my arm in indoor lighting with this review to show this).

Some of them look nearly identical, and different colors to replace the almost-repeats would have been a better use of palette space imo. Overall, I think this is a solid eyeshadow palette. The neutrals are perfect for those of us who prefer them, but the pops of color can be easily placed on the inner eye corners or elsewhere for a nice addition of color to an everyday look.

Eye primer helped with staying power of the eyeshadows, but even without it they lasted well throughout an 8 hour day for me. Would I buy this at full price? Probably not. But I’d absolutely be tempted to if I saw it on even a slight sale.

If you love neutrals like I do, I definitely recommend trying this palette ❤.

This is the third Too Faced Palette that I own, & I was BEYOND ecstatic when I received this. I purchased the original Chocolate Bar palette as well as the Sweet Peach palette. All smell absolutely delicious and are a treat in scent alone.

This palette is by far my favorite of the 3. It smells like deep chocolate brownie as soon as you open the pan but not to the point where it’s overpowering. Once applied there isn’t any lingering scent.

The packaging is sturdy and compact with a magnetic close. I adore that the Too Faced Palettes come with mirrors which is great for on the go. The color story of this palette is beautiful with both shimmers and matte shades but I do wish there was a bit less of the similar brown neutrals but that’s not an issue for me.

I would say that this palette is a great palette for travel as it has all the options you need to create numerous looks. I’ve used this palette consistently for a couple months and have tested it through intense California summer heat as well as rainy days, with primer and without.

The color payoff from the matte shades are wonderful. The consistency is smooth, they are easily blend-able and are highly pigmented. The shimmer shades are visually stunning in pan but after the initial swatch, my heart sank.

I was afraid that they weren’t as pigmented but with primer they look great! Too Faced does explicitly recommend you use primer with this palette and I fully agree. It will give the color payoff you desire and will hold these beautiful shadows to your lids.

I used a combo of both shimmer and matte shades without primer on a hot California heatwave day at Disneyland & they were slipping and sliding all over the place. Luckily I brought the palette with me for touch ups lol.

I came back the next day with primer (same heatwave), and they stayed all day with little creasing! My favorite shades are Sugar Rush, I’m The Dessert and Bitter Half. They are stunning! Overall I loved this palette and couldn’t stop reaching for it over these past few months over my extensive collection of palettes.

The color story is versatile and fun and although some shades have a bit of fallout, they are pigmented and last great with primer underneath. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful versatile palette to add to their collection and/or looking for a palette that’s really great for travel.

But please use primer! Lol :).

I had the opportunity to try this product for free thanks to Too Faced and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. The first thing I noticed when I first opened the box and looked at the palette was the nice sweet chocolate smell.

It’s not overpowering and definitely goes with the name. The palette itself seems durable, and the mirror is a nice size. I currently live in a very humid place so I tried the different colors with concealer underneath, without it and with/without setting spray or primers.

It definitely looks better with the primer or concealer but it also stays without it. The variety of colors is really nice and allows you to play a bit. I have hazel green eyes so the purple ones were my favorites to experiment with since it makes my eye color pop.

The only complain I have is the color Sugar Rush was barely noticeable and I had to reapply multiple times to get it to where I wanted it. I’m not sure if it’s meant to be just a little glittery add on to the beautiful colors but I would definitely love to get a more fuller effect with those.

It’s still a really nice touch. Overall I definitely recommend this palette. It has a good mixture of colors, stays all day and smells sooo good! I’m very thankful for this palette and will definitely keep using it!.
