20 Best Eye Shadow For Blue Eyes (2023 Updated)

My eyes are green but I always use the hazel duo. These eyeshadows are nice and compact so that you’re not carrying a whole pallet with you. Can easily be tossed in your purse on the go! I would definitely recommend anything physicians formula for anyone in need of makeup.

I haven’t used this exact palette, since you can’t just review products you have that aren’t on this site. I’ll give you insight. I have their palette that has like 180 colors in it. It was 15 dollars at Kohl’s.

Their site in general is super cheap. They ship fast always have deals. The product is amazing and the packaging isn’t bad. I’d forsure go to your local Kohl’s play with their line in general or order online.

These shadows are beautiful, but the palette is much smaller than what I expected. I thought it would be the size of the Nudes palette, but it’s much smaller. It’s slightly longer than your hand, which means the shadows inside are tiny.

Some shadows are not very pigmented and some a slightly more pigmented. For 11 bucks it’s worth a shot. They are pretty and it’s a great collection for green eyes.

I like the colors that come in this pallet and I love the formulation, as with all BH cosmetics, but it’s hard for me to make an entire look with this pallet. so I have to pull from other pallets and colors, which isn’t a problem, but it makes it not the most ideal to travel with.

The pans are also really thin so sometimes my brush will get into the other colors which can be kind of annoying. But the colors that are there are really great and the pigmentation is beautiful. I got the blue eyes fro myself and a blue eyes and brown eyes for my friends as gifts this last Christmas.

They make great gifts.

These have been around for ages and you’ve probably all heard enough about them, but they’re some of the only drugstore shadows I have that I actually love.

💎Each shadow has a near creamy feel, with a slight emollience so they are not at all gritty. When you dip your finger or brush into the pot, you can pick up some chunks of shadow, but because of their sophisticated texture they smooth out very easily.

I prefer to apply these with my pinky finger and blend lightly at the edges. I never wear shadow without primer so I cannot speak to their lasting power on their own through vast experience, but the ONE time I used them on their own they still creased on my oily lids.

With primer they last all day and look freshly applied until I take them off. 💎Every shade I’ve ever owned of these has performed beautifully and consistently, although I cannot speak to all the shades.

These three that I have are excellent, and I regularly use them for quick, one shadow looks but they are absolutely versatile and layer well on top of one another. They even later lovely on top of matte shadows, which is usually something that’s uncommon in my experience with other shimmers! ✅Highly recommend, and I would repurchase, however as you can see there is a TON of product left in each pot and I’ve had these all for a few years.

I hope they release some new shades soon, because I’d love to try more! 🧜🏼‍♀️.

I have tried countless eyeshadows from high end to budget beauty finds. This is my favourite budget drugstore eyeshadow formulation of all time. It definitely gives the higher end eyeshadows (like Urban Decay!) a real run for money.

I have used these for years! \n\nWhat makes these eyeshadows a standout is the formulation. The consistency is hard to describe, it is a powder shadow that feels soft to touch, like it has a bit more moisture.

It’s not quite a loose shadow, but not quite a compact pressed powder. The spectrum of shades is a bit limited, however there are some stunning shimmer shades suitable for every day and this product is exceptionally great value given the high quality.

It is long wearing and lasts 12+ hours on me without creasing. I have quite oily lids and can get away without using a primer (although I do prefer to prime my lids). I also haven’t experienced any problems with fallout, despite it being similar to a loose eyeshadow.

\n\nThe quality of these eyeshadows is amazing – they are gorgeous finely milled and shimmery. It is not the chunky kind of shimmer but a very buttery shimmer with a lot of sheen. I apply with my fingers and they are soft and silky, and easy to blend without ever looking blotchy or leaving harsh edges.

It is equally as easy to pick up the product using a brush as with your fingertips. They are pigmented, buildable and can be used wet or dry depending on the intensity that you are after. For an extra boost of luster, I spray an eyeshadow brush with MAC Fix plus which really brings out an intense shimmery finish.

The formula of the eyeshadows are super nice and smooth. They glide on beautifully and are super easy to blend. The colors are pretty pigmented in my opinion and they are amazing for layering. Definitely a great mini palette to add to your makeup kit for an easy eyeshadow look that you dont have to use 4 different palettes to create.

I have used many different brands of the same type of product. It started with Clinique, then Charles of the Ritz, then Avon. This particular product is as good, if not better than 2 of them, Charles of the Ritz and Avon.

They separated over time when I bought a number of them in advance. The reason that I buy more than one, is that the companies tend to discontinue BLUE. It drives me crazy. This product does not fall into the creases, and does not dry out on your eye lid.

I put a similar color over it to make it last longer. It is called “setting” the make up. So, it was cheaper than C of the R, and Clinique, and better over time than C of the R, and Avon. Most of them have discontinued the blue, including now Almay, as far as I can tell.

Bummer.

I love Almay. It’s very good for my skin because it is very sensitive and I tend to get breakouts a lot. This brand is perfect for sensitive skin and their products are pretty good. Some products don’t last but this one I always use.

I had anticipated that this was the best color for me until I arrived home anxious to try it on. To my great disappointment the color appeared gold shimmer on my eyes and I was hoping for a warm brownish taupe which it wasn’t.

Unfortunately, I had to return it. My hope is that CVS will be able to supply testers for all eye shadows like most department stores do. This would certainly cut down the volume of returns and time and money.

Please think about this accommodation. It is extremely frustrating when a color is misleading.

After seeing so many positive reviews online, I placed a large order on colourpop including the blue moon palette, just my luck and Wine and Only. Just my luck indeed– three shades in two palettes arrived broken! The shade Billie Jean arrived broken and crumbled, as well as Mary Jane in the Just My Luck pallette.

It seems to be a trend with the middle metallic shades of the pallette, maybe the ladies Billie Jean and Mary Jane were in a mood today. I understand that things can break during international shipping– but the box was packed with care (plus points to colourpop) and the box marked fragile, so this seems to be an issue for the future.

I have another order arriving soon, that I ordered before the first one arrived, with a vault of palettes, let’s hope they don’t arrive cracked. Also, I am fairly certain that I ordered two pretty fresh foundations (however I cannot check what kind of foundation it was in my order history– just the shade) but I received one pretty fresh, one no filter.

However this could be a mistake on my end. All the other products arrived in good shape and were great quality, but hopefully colourpop takes this feedback into account for the future.

This palette gives a nice range of blue shades with enough transition shades to make wearing blue eyeshadow look good and well blended without looking green or grey at the edges. My favorite shades are Lumi, Moonlight, and Starry Eyed.

I don’t usually reach for Clued In, Tide Pool, or Mad About You, as I find these colors to have a tone that is less wearable. I like the quality of Billie Jean and Da Ba Dee a lot, but I find that these colors don’t really match the rest of the palette when on the eyes.

I love to do soft, blended out, but bold looks with this palette, and it completely made me fall in love with blue eyeshadow, which I was scared to ever wear until I owned this.

Wow this palette is pigmented. The website is not doing it justice, they are incredibly pigmented and vibrant shades for the most part. It’s quite a soft and loose formula so there is a lot of kick up in the pan and easy to apply too much too fast.

I wish it was a bit less pigmented so I could tone the looks down if I feel like but I can’t complain. It is a very nice palette, maybe not the nicest I have ever tried but especially considering the price it is amazing.

By far the best formula for a colourful palette in this price range. Just be careful to take it little by little or it’s going to give you a harder time to blend out all that pigment. Shimmers apply beautifully with fingers or a sprayed brush.

I had zero creasing in humid and hot weather and my eyelids are usually oily. Also very little fall out if you are careful.

Beautiful kit. Create endless looks with it. May not be a huge palette but still get great looks from it. Love the cold. Blend well. Minimal fall out. And easy to apply. Good formula.

The color is softer than a harsh black yet my eyes look fantastic! The mascara has very tiny shimmery bits in it which sparkle a little. Nothing crazy. At 45 years old, I am not looking for glitter and flash.

Rather, it sort of gives an illusion of a glossy finish. There is no smearing or smudging but it does flake a bit. If CoverGirl can fix that issue it would rate a perferct 5 stars from me.

Beautiful color pallet and I can do many things with this pallette including a smoky eye. Which I love. It definitely does brighten your eyes as it makes your eyes pop! Amazing shades. Definitely a must buy and highly recommend.

I bought this in Midnight Sapphire and Copper Chic to add a bit of colour to my winter looks. Both sticks are nicely packaged (make great gifts) and the Copper Chic is really glamourous looking as the outside of the stick is finished in copper chrome – makes it look very expensive! Both colours are well pigmented and they share the same warm pinky/copper sparkle – the sparkles are very small, but enough to catch the light without looking like you’ve been making Christmas Cards! The Copper Chic is a warm mid-brown (the colour of milk chocolate) and could be used as a very subtle liner or as a shadow.

The Midnight Sapphire is a more obvious colour and works well on my fair skin as a liner and also as a shadow. The Sapphire is a warm blue with an almost lilac/mauve tone to it; this with the warm colour sparkle makes it very easy to wear – true blues can be quite harsh and aging, but this is a very pretty colour and would work equally well on a proper smokey eye or a lighter daytime look.

These shadow sticks live up to their name and do not budge easily, only creasing after a long day without any touch ups. An interesting point to note is that both colours can be ‘polished’ to a more glossy shine – apply the colour and then buff it gently with your finger tip.

This works really well on the centre of your eyelids to bring a more highlighted effect.

I have literally every color of these. As I get older (I’m 38 and I have been using elf products since they came out about 15 years ago) I find that cream/stick shadows work better on my oily lids, as long as they don’t crease…if you apply these correctly, they will not crease, migrate, or wear off.

The colors can be diffused with a brush for a soft wash, & they can be used boldly as well. I use them over an eye primer (the $3 elf eye primer is great for this because it’s sheer), but you MUST let them set! If you apply them and don’t let them set properly, they will smear, but if you let them set and dry down, they will not budge.

You don’t have to use primers or setting spray for these to stay either, but with my oily lids, I use both. They also make for a super quick cut crease, and they can be used as a base too. I’ve seen so many people use these and try to touch it before it’s dried down, and say they’re not good, but they hadn’t set yet.

I’ve also seen ppl try setting them with powder, which ruins the finish. Just try them by themselves, I swatched them on my hand and let them set to see if they’d move, and after they set, I couldn’t rub them off my hand, but it does come off easily with makeup remover so you don’t have to destroy your skin scrubbing hard to remove it.

I’ve used so many shadow sticks in both drug store and high end brands, and these are still my favorite for the color payoff, ease of use, and staying power. For $5, you can’t beat it, considering most of the higher end ones are $20+ for one stick, and the quality isn’t as good as these.

I have used these No Budge Shadow Sticks from e. l. f. for years (although they could’ve had a different name originally) but this review is for the current shades I own; the Mint Collection, Champagne, Rose Quartz, Cookies n’ Dreams.

I was prompted to write this after I kept almost buying the pink shade, Rose Quartz, and finally did but wish I hadn’t. Unfortunately the pink looks like a lovely, creamy, light pink but pigmented product online and in person it barely shows anything on my lighter skin tone.

I’ve tried primers, changing placement and about the only thing that kind of works is using it as a base for pink shadows. It doesn’t really brighten the colours like a stark white or deep black but if able to apply it evenly and get a shadow or pigment on before it “sets” it does add staying power and some pigment but the downside is it impairs blendability.

I tried taking a picture to show the lack of colour but I couldn’t get anything to appear. I hope I can write a separate review for other shades, at least for the green mint and blue from Cookies n Dreams because I have bought the Mint stick 4 times (2 are still sealed but I know it is going to disappear from online at some point and I love it! So because more of my experiences are positive than negative I am giving 3 stars which in my book is average.

Not great but not bad by any means- but there are some at each end of that spectrum.

I usually don’t try liquid eye shadows but the description of this one attracted me because it said it would enhance the color of my eyes. I tried the green and really like it. I make it darker on the bottom part lid and lighter on the rest of the lid.

The only thing is that you have to apply it where you want it and blend it quickly because it dries fast. I use my finger to blend. I will be trying other colors. More color choices would be nice like a slate grey.

I have been using this primer for over a year. I use the “green eyes” formula, even though my eyes are more blue. The beige color is just enough subtle color for daily use & is a great base color if I want to add shadow on special occasions.

I add a smudge of eye pencil & mascara for daily wear to work. It does not wear off or make creases on my lid. I remove with a gentle cleanser at night when I remove my makeup.

This is one of my favorite eye shadows to use as a transition color. It works perfect for my skin tone. It works great with other browns that I usually use as my crease colors as I do use more neutral colors than anything.

As I do like to experiment with my eye shadow looks quite a bit I feel this works with just about any look I try. This doesn’t kick up a lot of powder when you use it. It is very reasonably priced, not to mention you can always find coupons to use and sales to buy into.

I have gone through 2 of these eye shadows and will continue to keep this as a staple in my makeup collection. I have used this eyeshadow in several colors and would highly recommend it.

I love L’Oreal eyeshadow! They have great quality products at an affordable price. The pigments are also very good as well. The black is my go to color for eyeshadow. It’s nice and dark compared to other brands of black eyeshadow that tend to look grey when applied.

I have been using this brand for many years now. I will continue to buy L’Oreal eyeshadow in the future!.

I’ve used this eye shadow for years! I do appreciate this very fast service, however as much as I love this shadow it really is not worth 19. 99! Especially since I’ve always purchased it for below $10.

I wasn’t very impressed. However, I did not use any primer. Although I’m 48, I am just now beginning to experiment with my eye makeup bc my eyes have gone from being wide open to having hooded eyelids and it is driving me insane.

I saw a video the other day where a lady was illustrating how to apply eye shadow to older women to create the illusion of lifting up. I just haven’t found an eye shadow in my collections that works like the videos I have worked.

I needed a highlighter to use to bring out my working space and I tried this. This didn’t show up for me. I’d have been upset had I spent more than a few dollars for it.

Revlon colorstay matte eyeshadow I purchase usually in store at local grocery or drug store. They are low in price and a good value. I would improve the product by maybe making the lid not as easy to break.

I would say the pigmentation, ease of use, creaminess, and ability to blend is comparable to Department store brands such as Estee Lauder or Lancome. I’ll definitely purchase again and highly recommend to others.

I had these about 5 years ago and I was absolutely in love with them. I had the Starry Pink and Celestial Silver shade. They are soooo cute and sparkly! I have never come across anything else like them.

Stuff today just does not have nearly enough sparkle as these had. They are super glitterly and have great pigment. There is fall out, but if you saw how glittery this was you would understand. I have been researching these on eBay and they are a bit expensive, but I am thinking about breaking down and buying them again because they are nostalgic to me and like I said I haven’t seen anything that even comes close to the sparkle and shine ever since!.

Words don’t do the justice. If you go for it I can honestly promise it may become your the only day time eyeshadow. Single? Perhaps, but it’s the only one you need. The colour is intense and subtle at the same time and I can promise you : you don’t need any other colour for blending.

I bought one and second one for my daughter without much thinking. I’m 45 , she is 20 today and as we always use different makeup this one is the exception. She is wearing this tonight, on her birthday party and said she would not use anything else.

And I have several different pallets. Sadly they all new and ready to be just given away. This is my eyeshadow forever. I just love it, love it ! Never came across the colour like that. Nude but simmering a little, the substitute for any brown, bronze, nudes and goes actually with everything on me.

Somehow the lips may be nude, peach, even red. I have no idea how it’s possible but that is the magic of that single eyeshadow. You may not be disappointed anyhow. I give my word for it.

Jane Iredale PurePressed blushes are one of the best I’ve ever tried! Blends flawlessly, long-lasting, some of the most beautiful shades I’ve seen in blushers! Creamy-powder texture that can be applied lightly, or easily buildable for high pigmentation.

How a blush blends is most important to me, these blushers blend effortlessly! They’re a bit pricey for small pan, but they work so beautifully that it’s worth every penny! I will continue to buy these.

Shade pictured is: Mocha. The PERFECT shade for fall. It’s warm brownish-pink. I love her shades, Sheer Honey, Mystique also. All shades look stunning on most skin tones. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!!.

I was starting to worry that I would not be able to find a cool toned pink, organic + cruelty free and non comedogenic blush but I have finally found it! I have cool undertones, my skin looks pink when I am pale, I have blue eyes and dark blonde hair with some red tones.

Most blush products I purchased and received were all orange toned. I can pull off a pink peach blush but I really wanted a cool pink one. This is described as a fuschia with gold shimmer and that’s exactly what it is! It is a cool toned pink with gold shimmer! Thankfully the gold shimmer isn’t chunky or noticeable on.

I think more of it as a highlight-blush duo! It is a pink color, not dark or too light. I am SO GRATEFUL that Jane Iredale makes non comedogenic makeup as I cannot wear most makeup because I break out easily from coconut oil and cocoa butter! The pigment on this is superb! It blends like a dream and I don’t even feel it on my face becuase of how light it it! I also have Jane Iredales lip drink and am definitely going to be trying more of this brand! I just hope Petit Vour will include some more Jane Iredale products in our future boxes!!! I payed $20 for this it it looks like they took 2 more dollars off so it’s current price is $18!.

HOWEVER, I will never let this little stick go again! I originally was planning on using it as a highlight in the corner of my eyes, top of my brow, nose and cupids bow mainly because I didn’t want to use such a pigmented colour on my lids like how some of the other Beauties are using it.

Long story short: I use it on my lids. I just use it differently, I apply it by taking this sparkly buttery magic makeup and applying a little amount (like one light swipe) across my lids and then I blow it out and lightly tap it around my lids with my finger tips.

This colour is so stunning that it gives a little pop of taupe and a TON OF SHIMMER. dare I say it gives Euphoria vibes? Is it an expensive makeup item for a stick? Yes it is but it lasts SO so long that you will definitely get your moneys worth, I’ve had the stick for so long and its still knocking it outta the park.

I get compliments all the time asking for what Im wearing. Did I mention it lasts all day and DOESNT CLUMP IN THE CREASES??? (that may be because of how little I apply and rub in but it is my go to regardless).

I will be buying more colours, Metallic Taupe is kinda like champagne pop by becca in that its kinda autumn-ish/winter so ill definitely look for a cute summer shade! BUYER BEWARE: You will never go back to your usual eye shadow ;).

IšverstiShow in original languageI’ve never really liked cream/cream stick eyeshadows. However, I became interested once I saw how they were used on the little tutorials on here. Also, there is a huge difference between high end cream eyeshadow and drugstore.

I first tried the caviar sticks as a sample on an order. These little samples require a brush to really pick up product, but I loved them all. The formula is creamy, but not so much that it moves all over the eyelid.

They blend easily and are well pigmented, as well as buildable for more dramatic looks. They do NOT crease. I fell asleep before taking off my makeup a few nights ago, and the next morning the eyeshadow was still in place, not flakey, and zero creases.

You do have to blend fairly quickly, especially if using more than one color, before it dries down and becomes muddy when trying to blend. I love that these can create a put together look quickly for everyday makeup.

I chose the LM birthday set so I could get the mini stick in Strapless, and it performed just as well as the other colors I’ve tried. The price is a little steep, but if you’re looking for a great cream stick, these are the best I’ve tried out of drugstore and higher end comparable products.

IšverstiShow in original languageI love these as a quick way to put on makeup. I have dry skin and I get super flaky skin on my eyelids sometimes. So it’s hard to use an eyeshadow primer that’s mattifying as well as powder on top.

But with this (and some light exfoliation) I just apply it on my lids and blend it out with my finger and it’s not drying but it does set in place. SO it’s a really easy way to get a smokey eye. The only thing is that it was lighter than I expected it to be.

So if I want a somewhat natural look, it’s great, otherwise I have to apply an eyeliner or darker shadow on top and it’s difficult to apply anything on top. What I found works the best is to take a darker shade of eyeshadow and a short bristled packer type brush and apply it on the edge of my lids and blend it up.

I do that on my top and bottom lids overtop of the stick. And of all the stick eyeshadows I’ve tried over the years, this one blends the easiest, applies the easiest and lasts the longest because it sets.

It’s also got a decent amount of working time. Oh and also, it works great with metallics, I just dab my finger into a metallic eyeshadow and press it onto my lid and it sticks great and works like a primer.

Even sparkles work well on this.

The pink, beige, and highlight colors are almost invisible, even layered. They do nothing in the way of adding color to the base lid or working as a highlight on the brow. If you are a fan of the very subtle, these are great colors for you, but I can’t see it at all and it does not build.

The remaining purpley brown color is actually quite nice. Still subtle, but due to that, it makes a nice soft lower liner. I think it may just be the colors I chose, as some of the other color choices look more vibrant.

Purchased the glow gold 41 shade. Really beautiful true gold shade which will be great for summer. Love the formulation of these shadows, half powder half cream texture. Very easy to blend. Long lasting.

Sparkling Topaze works really well with my light brown eyes. Silky coral is another winner. Didn’t find French Blue to have the colour payoff as I would have liked. Overall great product.

The eyeshadow single is expensive, but the quality is exceptional. I’m not particularly eager to fuzz with multiple colors, but I enjoy wearing color. The formula goes smooth, there is a lovely seen but no glitter what so ever.

It looks good by itself, or you can build the intensity for a more dramatic look. I already bought two, and I would love to throw out all my other shadows and order one or two more of this formula. For reference, I am 47, so although I am in good shape, my eyes feel dry with specific brands.

I used to wear a lot of channel and TF eyeshadows. Chantecaille and Sisley seem to feel more comfortable and do not irritate my eyes.

I love makeup. Especially eye makeup. For years I wore a lot of eye makeup and always received compliments. Then suddenly I reached an age where it seemed like I was to be stuck with neutrals and matte shadows for the rest of my life.

I no longer had fun putting on makeup. I tried to step out of the my boring routine but each time I would try it just didn’t look good on me and I’d end up taking it off and putting on the matte neutrals again.

Then I found this shadow and I liked the way it looked. I may be 50 but I could wear shadow with a shimmer again. I used NARS eye base and only put the color on my lower lid. I used black liquid eyeliner close to the lash line and black mascara.

I love it and I’m so glad I didn’t give up my search.
