20 Best Eye Makeup For Sensitive Eyes (2023 Updated)

These are pretty solid topper shades. I mostly use them for the last step in my eyeshadow routine if I’m looking for a more bold look. The method that seems to work best is picking up the glitter on my pointer finger.

I go in like I’m going to swatch it, and then pat it on my eyelid. This method seems to yield the best result and it’s the one I’ve had the more success with. One piece of advice, make sure to have a spare brush just to wipe away any of the glitter fallout.

I find that the fallout is pretty minimal, however it can be annoying when there are little spots of glitter on your under eyes or cheeks. Having something near you just to wipe it away is helpful. Solid trio, I have invested in other colors, but this one seems to be the one I mostly gravitate towards.

I absolutely LOVE the Kaja bento trio shadows, but the Peach Madeline, despite being absolutely beautiful, was just too soft. I buy these trios specifically because they’re so travel friendly, but all 3 of these broke on me within a week and a half of use.

The shimmer pans lost adhesive and the top shadow fell out first, but the other two just broke from transport. I have to say, the shades were lovely and the shimmers are opaque and beautiful, with reasonable fall-out (one glittery, one foiled), however, I’m not sure you need two such similar shimmers in one trio.

It would have preferred another matte to use as a liner or light peach shade. If you MUST have it, keep it on your vanity. I’m still mourning that foil.

Well, I wasn’t expecting three glitter toppers, but that’s essentially what these are. And for that, they each are beautiful. What I was hoping for was more like one glitter and two shimmery shadows designed to work together.

I tried wearing all three of the colors together, and it’s just waaaaaay too sparkly. However, I’m still excited to experiment with each glitter on its own, or combined with my other matte and satin eyeshadows.

The powder formula itself feels very silky, blends easily, and doesn’t have too much fall out. And that little compact is just so darn CUTE!.

I love these eyeshadows! I recently finished college and I am on a tight budget. These are so nice and easy to use (and affordable)! For the office, I love #505 “Impressionist. ” It’s a nice, neutral palette for everyday wear.

For date night, I love using #520 “Watercolors. ” I find that the purple hues really bring out the green in my hazel eyes and have such a nice pop of color and shimmer. If you’re looking for a solid matte eyeshadow palette, these probably aren’t for you (I find that most of these are shimmery) but I really like that about these.

Overall, they’re affordable, blend well, have minimal to no fallout, and are budget-friendly. I will be purchasing more of these soon!.

The Primer goes on easily and doesn’t inflame sensitive skin, for me anyways. The colors can be discreet for everyday sparkly fir the evening, they look really really good. The slim light weight flip top compact is a little tricky to open until you get the hang of it.

You have to use a thumbnail to push up the lid. Also it doesn’t have a mirror, if that matters to you? There are also two small sponges included in the interior section, for the various colors. Enjoy you will really like this product it numbers which you should use first and second and so on.

Getting ready for a photoshoot and was at the store looking for colors that will make my eyes really pop. I bought the kit containing the deep purple shadow. It includes easy-to-understand step-by-step instructions that gives you two options depending on whether your eye is hooded or if you have deep set eyes.

It includes photos with a little difference. To be honest, I wasn’t sure, so I chose deep set. For step 3, I just put a few dots of color on the outside corner and literally flicked the brush upward a few times.

Haven’t used the extra color (Step 5) yet. And then I added a step by blending my eyelid/brow with a clean brush. Added more white to the inside corner areas to highlight more. Today, when I repeated the steps with different colors, I got the same effect and sparkle.

I paired with with Revlon Candid antioxidant concealer in a small tube for under the eyes (works great, doesn’t take much, just rub it in) and Revlon blush. There’s no caking, no flaking on my skin and I had it on the rest of the day.

And for good measure, my skin is brown, a few shades darker than Halle Berry. The purple is just enough to show up in photos so you won’t be looking like a clown that escaped the circus. It’s perfect! Normally, we spend so much money buying cosmetics and we don’t really know if they will work.

I am extremely satisfied with this one. I’ve been looking for a combo to use for bronze/gold so I can look like a goddess and am glad Revlon makes this in other color combinations that will give me that effect.

I purchased this in the shade Cream Pop. The packaging is sturdy, the design is adorable. The product goes on smoothly (I used my fingertip), feeling almost like a cream in its velvety softness. It blends nicely with a soft, floofy brush.

The color itself worked very nicely for me and my fair skin as a highlighter/lightest shade for my look. The shimmer in this shadow is actually quite nice, definitely more of a gentle shimmer rather than a chunky glitter, which appeals to me at age 36.

The one drawback for me, which will absolutely be a plus for some others, is that the shimmer is, unquestionably, gold. Since my skin is very cool toned, the gold shimmer simply didn’t suit, though the Cream Pop color itself worked quite nicely.

It’s a great product and I would love to purchase the same again, if offered with a pearl or silver shimmer. Will recommend with gusto to all my warm-toned friends.

I use both of the shadows recommended for green eyes and I adore them both. I’m a fairly low-maintenance gal and really hate wearing a lot of product on my face. These are my go-to shadows because they already have primer built in so it eliminates a step that I don’t particularly love.

As a graduate student, I am busy all day and I never have an issue with my shadow fading or creasing. I know I can feel confident that when I apply these shadows in the morning, they’ll be right where I put them later in the day.

Although I am not a huge make-up wearer, I do love playing with my eye make-up and I feel as if these shadows blend well and are smooth when applied. The only negative I would add that a lot of people have already mentioned is that these shadows definitely are a little sparkly.

If I’m not feeling sparkly in the morning, I typically switch to something more matte (or don’t wear any eyeshadow at all), but that is on very rare occasion.

Love this eye shadow. Blunt rounded tip seemed weird to me at first, but after applying and then blending out with a brush, it’s not weird at all. I purchased the beige shade, as I typically stick to neutrals in the nude family.

Looks like a blah, boring shade in the tube but it is lovely on. It wears as an understated sheen, not a shimmer or glittery at all, and is exactly what I wanted. I’m 53 with fair, clear, wrinkle free skin and brown hair, hazel eyes.

I wear it solo, from lashline to browline over my entire eyelid and it looks great. I have never worn any shadow other than nudes or in the light browns family but I like this product and formula so much that I am going to try going outside my comfort zone and try the lilac shade.

I also have sensitive skin only around my eyes, and cannot wear certain brands of eye products. This product does not bother my skin at all. For reference, my other go-to shadow is Bare MInerals eyeshadow in Nude Beach.

Love them both, but the Clinique chubby stick shadow is less glimmery and more of a subtle sheen than the Bare Minerals, and the chubby stick is much easier and cleaner to apply.

I got these in Bountiful Beige & Lots of Latte and love them! The two colors work great together and separately. I’ve been trying to replace eye shadow powders with a more creamy alternative for a few years and have finally found a product that works! I’ve already noticed that my eyes are less irritated after just a week of switching.

The colors are buildable and while the sticks are a bit too chubby to get in the crease well (i have heavy-lidded eyes), I can use my pinky to move the color and blend colors. If they were just a little less thick I think I would have better coverage, but these are already easier to use than powders and great for my aging, sensitive skin and eyes.

The colors are light, but somewhat buildable and just a wee bit of sparkle (which I was worried about looking at the color swatches online). Keep adding colors to this line, and I will shell out my money!!!.

Clinique’s Chubby Stick Eye Shadow Tint for Eyes is the easiest and quickest way to get a great eyeshadow look! These are my go-to favs for putting some color on my lids with minimal effort and minimal blending required.

My favorite everyday shade is the Ample Amber, which is understated, yet provides just enough color to give a polished look. Add a little liner and mascara and you’ve got a perfectly made up look. Chubby Sticks also play very nicely with powder shadows – just put the Chubby Stick on your lids as a base or primary color and use a little powder shadow to add depth or a smoky look.

The possibilities and looks are endless when you use a Chubby Stick. I’ve been a big fan for years!.

I enjoy using this palette. the colors blend easily and I like the balance of mattes to shimmers. I don’t hesitate to use this for everyday looks despite the name. I think its one weakness is the name, actually.

If I approached it with expectations of more night out looks, I would probably be disappointed in the ratio of neutrals to colors. However, I’m really glad to have this in my collection and often bring with me to work, confident that if I need to put a look together for different events, that this palette will deliver and I’ll be happy with the results.

I use a variety of brushes, but definitely recommend two on hand for this palette. One fluffy blending brush, and a solid eyeshadow brush.

The palette is deeper in tone than pictured. I appreciate Mented cosmetics for creating products for deeper skin tones, as it seems most brands think aiming for the medium-tone range will somehow cover everyone’s needs.

There are some things you should know about the palette itself: the design is STUNNING. Sleek and gorgeous with a nice mirror inside. The mattes are beautiful and blend out very nicely. Again it is so nice to see mattes that will truly flatter deep skin tones, rather than just a mix of too-light shades.

The shimmers are a more dry formula; a formula that I would say I perfect for day to day/work wear. However, if you’re going for the most intense shimmers, I don’t think this palette will cover your needs on its own.

The sole reason I’m deducting one star is that I think the palette might be more suited to a different name. I tend to think “night” palettes are more intense in shimmer. That said, I’m not a creative soul, so no clue on a better name! Bottom line – fantastic work appropriate palette with a wonderful deep range of tones.

This palette is gorgeous. It is the sister to the Everyday palette. I reach for this when I want to wear a bold lip. As neutral as this palette is you can still make the shimmers pop by dampening your brush or finger application.

I have used Brooklyn (matte black) as a liner, wet for intense and dry for smokey. This palette can be your go to for your transition shades and inner corner highlight with your other palettes that have more pop and colors.

Matte Shadows are creamy, all are easy to apply and blend. They play well with all the other palettes I own. A must have in your shadow wardrobe. This is vegan, cruelty-free, non-toxic, and paraben free which is a plus.

This loose eyeshadow is so pretty! I got the peach colour. It’s like a goody peach colour. I used my finger to apply a small amount and it’s so pigmented and lasted a long time. Was easy to wash off too.

This is one of the best eye shadows, the colour is so gorgeous and works just as a simple basic single shadow on its own (on my fair skin), which is usually how I use it – pretty much every day!. Love the shimmer too, and it lasts FOREVER! You won’t regret.

My tip for travel, because the pots don’t have a stopper and it’s easy for heaps of the shadow to spilt out into the lid, is to use a cotton ball (tear off about half and shape to fit) press into the top before throwing it in your makeup bag.

I’ve always been a fan of Inika and the fact that they are natural, organic and not tested on animals is a massive plus for me. But what’s amazing is that the quality of the eye shadow isn’t compromised by it being an ethical brand.

The colour is lovely and it holds for a all day wear, plus it does not aggravate my sensitive eyes with is a massive plus for me. Would highly recommend this brand.

I absolutely love Jane’s eye shadows! The pigmentation is perfect, and they last throughout the day. They also don’t make the crepey skin on my eyes look hideous. This time I ordered the Triple in Sweet Spot, and it’s perfect for a natural look for work.

Here’s the deal, I have an eye shadow I love from you. I tried to buy it again. It wasn’t right so you sent me another one and still you no longer have the color I love. It was espresso. One color in an eye shadow compact.

Dark brown. Don’t know why you are no longer offering espresso/dark brown. None of the eye shadow combinations has that same color. That is why I am disappointed.

Jane Iredale has great cosmetics that are good for skin. The eyeshadow combinations they put together are great. This one has several that can be used alone or just a couple. The pigment is so true, it’s nice to know what it looks like in the package will be what it looks like on.

And you don’t need alot to get great looking results.

I bought the Oyster/Supernova combo and these two colors are beautiful. They go on smoothly and are easily removed. Also, even though they have a little bit of shimmer , they didn’t irritate my very sensitive eyes.

I was pleasantly surprised because this the only brand that I can wear eyeshadow with some shimmer. I highly recommend Pure Pressed Eyeshadow.

As I have sensitive skin, I use dermatologically approved La Roche Posay skincare and now look out for their cosmetics, but this particular shadow compact is hard to buy in Britain, even from online cosmetics sites, so I was pleased to find it on Ebay.

I had never used this eye shadow compact before but was not disappointed. Its main great idea is that it has a neutral primer plus two shadows, one ivory gold, one smoky brown, which are probably suitable for any eye colour.

The primer is creamy and flattering and stays on all day – previous primers have flaked or creased. I would buy this compact for the primer alone. It’s now a staple in my make-up bag.

I have a very sensitive eyes and these are first and the best eye shadows I ever tried! Last long (ca. 8 hours) which is amazing! Very happy with this product.
