20 Best Eye Makeup For Blue Eyes (2023 Updated)

Love, love, LOVE this product, especially in this color. If they ever stop making it I will buy a dozen before the end. It is that good. It goes on as a creamy liquid and dries pretty quickly to a powdery formula – you have maybe 10 or 20 seconds to smooth and blend it with your finger or other tool before it sets.

I use it on top of Laura Mercier eye primer and it stays all day and night. The color is absolutely lovely : it’s a neutral taupe with shades of brown and a slight plum hue to it. There is a subtle sheen to the finish.

I think it looks great on Hazel, Green or brown eyes. I sometimes use it in combination with a lighter shade as a highlighter. I’ve tried all of the shades and there are one or two others that I like but this one is a stand out.

A permanent daily staple. When I use the lighter shade as a highlighter I noticed it tends to be a little drying on my upper eyelid. But a little moisturizer ahead of time takes care of that. My new favorite product!!.

Shimmering Sands by Covergirl is the first eyeshadow palette I had ever purchased in used. The collars are absolutely stunning although the quality is not the greatest. It could definitely stay on longer.

It could come on a little darker but it still overall good quality and I used it for the first ten years that I used makeup and I still use it occasionally. I definitely recommend it especially for beginners and I’m going to keep using it myself.

Please bring back Pink Chiffon. Why would you get rid of it. Pink Chiffon was perfect to give the eyelid that POP of color. I’ve been really struggling to find something comparable to it. IF I see a picture of a color and it looks close, I buy it and it is nothing like I thought it would be.

The colors are beautiful ( I bought the purples). The diagram on the mirror showing exactly how to apply. brilliant! Comes with 2 applicators. Awesome. Unfortunately, my eyes itched like crazy after a few hours and I removed with Lancome eye makeup remover when I got home.

My eye were swollen shut when I woke up. This was my 2nd attempt at using. I will probably try again with a primer or a super eye cream prior to applying. I love all Lancome so far so this is such a bummer.

Lancome products go on nicely and are long lasting. I have a favorite eyeshadow palette, different brand but since I like other Lancome products, tried this during a sale. Some of the neutral color palettes were out of stock but this looked close to what I currently use.

None of the colors on this palette (nude sculptural) are attractive – make my eyes look pink as if I were crying. If pinkish tones look good on you, no problem, but they don’t work for me. The eye shadow itself was nice, just not the color.

This palette was a promotional free sample; I received the 01 French nude version, which is a lovely mix of nude-light brown- brown shadows – therefore I am rating only this one particular version (not the other 9).

The palette has a solid black case, a big mirror inside, and clear instructions on where to apply which shadow to create the perfect smokey look, which could be very helpful especially for those who are new to make-up/not as confident with make-up.

There are 5 shadows in the palette – 2 very light nude-rosy shadows (they look matte when applied); 1 shimmery beige shadow, and 2 darker brown shadows. The palette also includes 2 eye shadow applicators.

The shadows deliver what the websites states – they are definitely very smooth, have a nice buttery texture and there is not much fall out even with the darker shades. They have a velvety finish and they lasted for hours, even survived my gym session.

They are quite easy to work with, they blend nicely and they are not patchy, which is always a plus! There is however one thing that disappointed me and that is the pigmentation, especially the lighter shades you can barely see/distinguish when applied.

The shimmery one in the middle is decent. The darker shades perform better than the rest. I wish the two light shadows and the middle one had a bigger pan as they will be used the most. I used a brush to apply them as the applicators that are included in the palette do not work well for me, and I would suggest using them only when there is no other option.

I did not try to apply them with a wet brush yet and therefore cannot comment on that. I can imagine this particular version to be a good palette for someone who aims for a natural,soft, sophisticated, everyday, professional look suitable for work (if applied according to the instructions in the palette).

I prefer pencil eyeliner to liquid, and this is one of my absolute favorites. It is easy to apply and has a smooth consistency, it does not tug at your skin. It also lasts forever without transferring or smudging.

It doesn’t need to be sharpened too often, so this lasts a long time. I absolutely love that this has a metallic eye highlighter on the other end, it saves me from having to have a second pencil and is great for travel.

I use the highlighter side on my inner eye, outer corner of eye, brow bone, and sometimes on my Cupid’s bow. In the picture I included, this product is the second one pictured. The name changed, but it is the same thing.

I highly recommend this pencil to everyone!.

this a total love/hate relationship. what I love–the actual product! both eyeliner colors are absolutely stunning, go on smoothly and last for hours without smudging. I have been looking for the right green/khaki liner forever and I’m so happy with these colors.

what I hate? getting the cap off the liner is so hard that it breaks off the tip of the eyeliner every time I open it. it’s such a shame because it ends up wasting a lot of the product, and it’s just super frustrating.

I’d definitely recommend the liner because it’s great in every other way, except for the caps.

This is a very hard palate to use as a standalone palette. I almost got the Zulu instead, because it has a brown instead of an orange, and I thought that that would increase its usage potential. Unfortunately, the Zulu sold out at Ulta so I got the warrior three instead.

**Would love to know in the comments if you guys think that I should also buy the Zulu given my skin tone. The rose gold shimmer speaks to me in a way that all rose gold shimmers do. Warm tones just look so much more effortless on me than cool ones do.

**That said, the quality of the product is great, especially for this price point. The yellow is fairly useless for me, but most of those are because of my golden skin tone. I like to use yellows as a base and then blend other colors into them to warm them up.

I used a dense packing brush and Urban Decay setting spray for Nzinga. As you notice the pan is already changed just from that one usage. When I went in a second time on top of the first layer of Nzinga, the color seemed to lift up off of my lid and I was left with a flesh color beneath.

When I went in a third time with a dry brush over the first two layers of Nzinga, finally, I built up the yellow color. As you can see in this eye look, I used green Maasai in the crease and yellow Nzinga on the lid.

I used baby blue Gola on the outer half of the eye. I am not a fan of blue eyeshadows but the reviews said that the blue eyeshadows in this were amazing. They actually are! The baby blue Gola combined with the green Maasai and the yellow Nzinga to make a perfectly blended transition.

I wanted to add some highlights, so I used the silvery blue Karama on the inner lid. As you can see in the hand swatch, it is a full-body shimmer, but as you can also see in the hand swatch, it can be used with a light hand as an iridescent topper.

In the hand swatch, I used it as an iridescent topper over the green Maasai and the warm purple Candace. It may seem heretical to you such a cool sparkly color on top of the warm, almost mustardy yellow, but it really tied the look together.

I think that is what I like most about this palette. it really pushes your limits for color combinations. I’m not a fan of icy blues due to blue eyeshadow trauma in junior high, but in icy blue silver on top of a muster to yellow is fabulous for my golden skin tone.

There wasn’t anything light enough to look good on my brow bone, so I have pulled in the icy holographic shimmer of the Saharan palette’s Iman. I lined the eyes with the color pop Powerpuff girls color stix in mojo Jojo.

The mattes are blendable. You may notice that the edges of the matte swatches fade out. This is actually helpful because it means that the edges blend out well. The green Maasai was the patchiest color.

I basically bought the pallette for that so that was a little bummed but by being patchy I just worked harder to blend it in and it gave me more cohesive look so I actually benefited from its slight patchiness.

I would avoid this color if I was short on time and trying to create a quick eye look. Actually, I might avoid the palette if I was in a hurry. I did not use a primer for the swatches, but I did use a primer on my lid: wander 2 cosmetics prime and behold.

Staining was noted with Maasai, Candace, Fani, and Gola. Jarawara, Candace, and Fanti are pressed pigments. If this palette was priced like a Pat McGrath palette, I would give it four stars. At this price point, I give it 5 stars.

One of the biggest bonuses for me is that the pans don’t kick up a lot of dust. I tend not to use eyeshadow palettes when I’m in a hurry if the pans kick up a lot of dust. I also don’t travel with that kind of palette.

I absolutely love every product I’ve purchased from this brand. I mean I absolutely hands down love Juvia’s place. About the eyeshadow palettes, there isnt anything that I would improve. The pigmentation is the best, I’ve ever used, very minimal fallout.

Colors of the rainbow and several shades of each color. Like hands down your complaints wont be from the pigmentation or the performance of the product. This palette is vibrant, every shade stands up and stands out.

Just save yourself some time and just order it. Absolutely a repeat customer. No doubt, I definitely recommend this brand, period.

The picture doesn’t do this palette any justice. This warrior 3 pallette is just radiant! It is a 9 pan palette has 2 shimmer colors and 7 matte colors that just pop with brightness. This palette does blend very well and is bold enough to make you feel like a warrior.

This really is my favorite palette in my collection right now,next week I might change🤷🏿‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ but definitely pick it up if you’re looking for a pop of color #juviasplace #warrior3 #influenster.

I bought several of these color chameleon eye shadows and really like them as they go on so easily and blend beautifully. I am a huge fan of Charlotte’s 4 color powder shadows, but I like these better.

These go on better and blend better. The Smokey emerald is great as an eyeliner, touch of color probably for any complexion. The only color I did not care for much is Golden Quartz. I think you need to be blonde/brunette and I am silver.

If you use these as a liner, keep a damp Qtip handy to blend, smudge, or tone down. And always curl your lashes before mascara. And Charlotte’s Magic skin care products? They ARE magic. To the lady who asked how to keep these shadows from running into your upper lid, don’t use eye moisturizer right before you apply it, Charlotte has a few very good shadow primers, or just use a little translucent powder after you put it on.

The colour (dark pearl) is really gorgeous! A nice shimmer with a. Interesting taupe/silver/grey/purple tone than looks more taupe brown when blended. However, it’s difficult to get an even coverage, because the pencil tip crumbles, then the pencil scratches your eyelid which hurts, and it’s difficult to blend of you don’t blend it fast enough.

The coverage can be built up, but if you’re not careful the layer you had on below will lift. I had it on my eyes for a day and it does last long a long time. But its a difficult format to work with.

I think the pencil should be ‘self-sharpening’, or in a pot format. I don’t know if maybe the stick I got was old and maybe that made it difficult to apply? I much prefer her Eyes to Mezmerize cream shadow pots and jewel Pots Swatches: One the left Is dark pearl.

On the right is chocolate bronze (another gorgeous colour, but this one does crease without a primer. Champagne and Oster Pearl preform great without a primer. I HIGHLY recommend getting Oster Pearl.

Its the perfect one–done eye shadow that last all day without creasing. ).

The color itself (Black Diamond) is very pretty against blue eyes and the formula does not hardly budge, even without a primer. But this is one of the more difficult eye shadow pencils that I have ever used.

Definitely not for moderately mature skin or hooded lids. There is nothing creamy about this formula. It is so dry that you really have to press into the lid to get anything more that a very light, sparkly, patchy, gray.

And pressing hard on hooded lids when you have a bit of extra skin makes the color skip across your creases and folds that happen when you are tugging. The black color doest blend very well either, so filling in the colorless spots is extraordinarily difficult and needs to be done using a stiff eyeliner brush that has a ton of color on it.

Using a fluffy brush to blend out the edges or patchy spots was a no go. I’ll stick to my Caviar sticks ty.

I recently received a tube of Diamond Melt-Allic Eyeshadow in the color Golden Emerald, complimentary from Physician’s Formula in exchange for my honest review, and let me say first, the packaging is lovely! It is a faceted, clear plastic tube, and looks beautiful on my vanity.

The product itself is soft and velvety in texture, and glides on easily with the included doefoot applicator. I got complete, even coverage in just ONE Swipe. When dried down, which happens very quickly, the color is vibrant and bright- reminiscent of a dragons skin, a gorgeous green that shines gold when the light shifts.

It blends out beautifully. That said – this product is not waterproof, at all. Although it is perfect when dry, if it gets wet – disaster. I applied this product, allowed it to dry, then dragged a wet fingertip through it.

The green immediately disappeared, and all of the gold sparkle transferred over to my finger. Weirdest thing I ever saw. But, extremely easy to wash off, when you are ready to. So, let’s just say in closing, this product is wonderful for wearing indoors, or to cooler outdoor venues, but stay out of the rain alltogether.

Honestly, I would love to play around with this some more for different effects. That switch from green to gold could be useful in the right situations.

I got the principessa palette and like it a lot! the colors are nice and the pigmentation is good. i’ve used the palette once with an eyeshadow primer and setting spray and it lasted my 10 hour work shift! the only downside i see is the eyeshadows (especially the shimmers) are super soft, which kind of defeats the purpose of having such thick and sturdy packaging.

when carrying it to work in my purse, it fell out. the packaging withstood the impact without any issues on cement but the eyeshadows inside did chip. if the eyeshadows were denser it would be an easy five stars for me, but the product is simply too soft for me to comfortably carry around daily like i thought i could.

i live in a major city so having a product that’ll withstand me bringing it everywhere is what i need and this was so close to being perfect.
