Another reviewer put it best, it sounds great from the outside, but when youre inside. Its SO LOUD! I definitely had to get used to after putting this thing on. I do feel like the car is a bit quicker now.

Not super fast but there a bit of a difference. The price is pretty high and could be cheaper. One last thing is, your original muffler is a super pain to get off. Took me forever to get off and needed a lot of WD-40.

Putting this thing on is easy, but I see that end of the mid-pipe it doesnt exactly fit/connect with this new axle pipe. The pipe is a smaller than your original so there a somewhat gap in between the two pieces and you can tell.

I dont think theres a leak, but it looks weird. You cant tell unless you lift the car up though. So I guess its okay.

I have a 2015 Honda Fit EX-L CVT and just installed this exhaust. It was very easy to install and the exhaust sounds great. It’s very mellow when cruising around 2000 RPM, barely noticeable above stock in my opinion.

Above 2400 RPM is when it comes alive and you can really start to hear it growl. It’s not buzzy/raspy like some inexpensive exhausts that I’ve heard. My wife didn’t have any complaints while riding in the car.

She liked that it wasn’t a constant drone, even when going 70 MPH on the highway. She compared it to a nice hum. So happy wife, happy life.

Idle has a low-baritone sound that is not much louder than the stock muffler. During normal driving from idle to 3500 RPM, this exhaust is not obnoxious at all, and produces some great gurgles and pops around 3000 RPM shifts.

From 4000 RPM to redline, you can tell this is an aftermarket exhaust. It does get a lot louder, but it’s not unbearable. At highway speeds, tire and wind noises are still louder than the exhaust.

Installed Borla Catback on 2016 GTI, very pleased with the appearance, and sound. The install was straight forward and fits perfectly, filling out the exhaust cutout in the rear valance completely. The sound at start-up is very nice and deep and clearly shows it is not a factory exhaust.

Once warmed up it is extremely quite in the cabin unless you are under hard acceleration when you hear a very nice deep tone. Outside the car you hear a great tone that doesn’t intrude the cabin. Great System.

the exhaust sounds great, subtle when your cursing but has a nice bit when you step on it. Installed it in 30 min with a lift and didn’t even have to use the instruction. It came with a hat and 2 extra “borla” stickers so thats a cool plus.

Definitely recommend but do not get of you want something extremely loud. worth the money.

This is exhaust provides a good amount of sound to the MK7 GTI, provides some crackles and pops as well. Not as dramatic as some you tube videos make it seem like, but a perfect amount I would say. No fitment issues at all! Only took 30 mins to have installed at a local exhaust shop.

Highly recommend for someone that has a MK7 and wants more sound out of the exhaust!.

Fitting required a couple of hours, required minor adjustments like every exhaust system which is not stock. The sound is loud, very loud, fat, pops as a popcorn maker, scream when runs at high rpms.

Mine is a stock LS3 2008. To be honest I was waiting for something a bit more “civilized”, this exhaust is quite brutal, there is no drone, that’s a big plus, anyway into the cabin the exhaust is very noisy even at low rpms.

I can’t imagine how loud is the atak system, this for me is already too much, but is lovely, I drove all day long today enjoying like a little baby, even if I got an headache lol If you want something very loud with no drone, this is the exhaust for you.

Believe me, is louder that what you can imagine checking all the possible videos on the net.

These Borla pipes made my Vette enjoyable again. The previous exhaust was loud and had major drone. The Borla has no drone whatsoever at any rpm or engine load. They are quiet when cruising, but sound off like Gabriel’s trumpet when you get on it! A great sound, a great value, and no drone.

Finally, a quality product that performs as advertised. You will not be disappointed with Borla. Well worth the money.

Installed S Type II on my base 2006 C6 by professional exhaust shop; time required little over one hour. Easy replacement to stock exhaust. Perfect sound I was looking for- much much better than stock, not too loud, great at start up, idle and while driving.

Before saying anything, I’m only a hobbyist. I’ve always been interested in cars and only recently began modifying mine. My experiences and expectations will influence this review. Others may say differently.

First, for the price I knew there wasn’t going to be a whole lot of difference. The main objective was to get rid of the stock exhaust and make my car sound better. Borla says a slight HP boost can be had but I haven’t tested this.

Naturally with better airflow I’d assume a few horses could be added. Once again, I have not verified. The sound is a lot better than the stock exhaust (it better be). However, I do wish it was a bit louder.

I didn’t want overly loud but I feel like I need just a bit more from the sound side of things with this Borla. I will probably try to adjust this by adding a new mid pipe and headers. Most of the sound will be heard in the lower gears and as you rev up the RPMs.

After leveling out and cruising the exhausts quiets down and you can have normal conversations inside of the vehicle which is nice. It’s a mature sound, and you won’t annoy anyone as you ride by. Packaging was good and quality of the exhaust was good as well.

I didn’t see or have any issues there. It came with everything needed for the install and the installation was simple for ahobbyist like myself. The stock exhaust took longer to take off than it did to put this one in.

Once you begin driving you’ll hear the difference right away. All in all, I’m content with my purchase. It’s tricky with exhausts because videos aren’t always accurate with sounds. It’s best to find someone in person to hear the sound.

If you want loud, this won’t be the exhaust for you but it’s a good sound. A nice deep and raspy tone. I’m sure once the full exhaust is installed it will sound amazing.

I got a Borla exhaust for my 2016 BRZ because all the other sounded a little ricer-esq and I wanted something low and mellow. DONT buy this exhaust if you want something loud and showy. This exhaust is PERFECT because its loud enough to hear, but quiet enough for you to not be annoying.

I can parallel park at night without worrying of being rude to my neighbors. LOVE my Borla.

Item was backordered. I found this out AFTER placing the order. I received 3 more notifications of longer backorders but Borla & AA made it right with express freight. The system goes on easy and the sound is superb.

Not cheesy or overly loud. Just a bit of growl on engine revving but under acceleration it is perfect. It also gave the car a small noticable boost in power. Trust in Borla, I’ve used them for everything.

From a C6 catback to a universal muffler on a 2 door Cutlass Supreme. A+.

Great system. Fitment is perfect on my is250. Sounds great in the low rpms, gets less aggressive in the higher rpms. Next to no drone on the highway. Looks great. Good pick for a daily driver or to pair with mid pipes for a louder build.

One of my big concerns before purchasing this exhaust was to ensure it was a dual exit system. I have seen some websites selling an HKS exhaust but only a single exit. I called and spoke with a customer service rep ( i believe his name was Daniel) and he personally walked over to the product and checked to ensure it was a dual exhaust system for me.

The sound is absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is the exhaust was touching my bumper on the passenger side, but with some maneuvering and yanking, it is no longer touching. Overall a great exhaust that you feel immediately after hitting the ignition.

This is a great exhaust system for a 2012 Lexus IS250. The sounds is great and not annoying at all.

Nice performance sound without waking up the neighbours, not very noticeable at cruising speed. I painted both tailpipes with high heat matte black paint so they wouldn’t stand out behind wheel wells.

Fit was not perfect, not enough clearance under back bumper. I had to insert a shim inside one of the rear rubber mounts to stretch it to lower the tailpipe and keep it from rattling against the bumper.

Other than that easily installed with no help. I also bought new exhaust pipe flange bolts instead of using the existing ones as they were a bit corroded.

I had a DB Performance by Corsa on this truck and it was just too loud for me. Before that I had two different Magnflow mufflers welded into the stock system. They both drowned terribly. But sounded great.

The DB was not as deep a tone as I was looking for. I ordered this and it was at my house 4 days later. I installed it this morning and honestly I can’t believe how much better it went together than the DB.

I had to fix all the openings on the DB as every one was dented. Not on the Borla. Everything went together amazingly well. Install took me only about 45 minutes working on the ground with hand tools and a cordless impact driver.

This system is top notch quality. Fit was perfect for my truck. The sound is exactly what I was looking for. Deeper rumble but quieter in the neighborhood. It when you punch the gas I opens up! You can just barely hear it in the cab, but no drone on the highway at 70.

It’s always tricky buying an exhaust system based on sound clips and reviews, but I took a chance with this system based on some of the things I read about it being for the ‘sleeper crowd’. This is my daily driver, and although it’s a supercharged 5.

0 crew cab F150 I like it to draw minimal attention and also not annoy my neighbors when I leave the house at 5 AM for work. For those reasons I went with the touring level exhaust from Borla. Honestly to me it’s perfect, the black chrome tips look great and there’s a nice little bark upon start up but no heavy drone or obnoxious sound at idle or cruising speed.

However when you want to open it up this thing screams just enough to let people know it’s definitely not stock. If you want a healthy sounding exhaust note but don’t want to hear obnoxious drony noises when you’re stuck in traffic then this is the system for you.

Borla makes it super easy to install. There were no instructions included, but I didn’t really need any because the parts were clearly labeled and fit together very easily. There are no rubber hangers nor flange nuts and bolts included, so keep that in mind depending on what kind of shape your original parts are.

Fortunately, I was able to reuse my old hangers and flange nuts and bolts. The hardest part was removing the old exhaust, because I dropped the rear axle so I could keep the old pipes intact without cutting anything.

The system comes with four clamps and no welding is required. I love the way it sounds now. It’s not obnoxiously loud by any stretch, but in comparison the stock exhaust seemed almost silent. Now it has a nice rumble at idle and a healthy roar when I hit the gas!.

I was admittedly a little disappointed at first after upgrading to this exhaust. Ford did a good job with the Active Exhaust on the 2021 EcoBoost. There is no resonator from the factory on the Active Exhaust system, so you won’t notice a big jump in loudness.

This is why I was disappointed… at first. The more I drove the car, the more I appreciated this upgrade. I could hear more of the turbo, the sound is more rich, and the car wasn’t as raspy in Sport or Track mode.

Plus, the black chrome tips look perfect with the black accent package I have on my car. After I got my Ford Performance tune, this exhaust came to life even further—especially in Sport and Track mode—which makes it an even more worthwhile upgrade.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. Just don’t expect a huge improvement in loudness over the factory Active Exhaust.

Everything fits as it should. Only problem is the tips are way bigger so youll have to cut out the bumper a little or just run no bumper. But comes with all hardware and gaskets. Sounds absolutely AWESOME! Would recommend!.

Welds are solid, bends put the exhaust where it needs to be, and it even comes with the donut gasket to compensate for its oversize piping to be able to mount to the stock cat. It also has a spot for that random ground wire hanging from behind the bumper to bolt to.

It gives the rx8 a deep growl and driving on the highway isn’t bad at all. It doesn’t say HKS, GReddy, Tanabe, nor Apex-I on it but it is still legit.

Only thing missing was the correct size of springs and a pair of nuts. The weld beads are gorgeous, stainless flawless and it sounds excellent. Not nearly as loud as what people say it is, but gives it that right medium to low exhaust note.

This thing sounds sweet, one of the best cat-back exhaust systems for the money. This thing went together like butter on bread. Everything lined up perfectly, would buy again and 100% recommend this product.

I put the exhaust on my 2006 Acura rsx. Exhaust sounds amazing. The fitment was pretty on point, and the sticker looks awesome on my car. Would definitely recommend.

Easy installation. I just wish that they added a gasket to the kit, had to call a friend to give me a ride to auto zone. ( I know, it’s my fault for not checking the things in the box before taking off the exhaust in my car lol).

Once you put it on, it’s sounds very nice, Idle is quiet but has a mean bass to the sound when you gas it. When I got the kit, the midpipe resonator had a dent :\.

Just what I was looking for my Honda CRZ, hardware is included and installation is easy, great sporty sound, little drone in the cabin, but packs a punch on the revs. Great buy and happy with the product.

Back story, I had Kooks shorty headers, stock cats (california), H-pipe, resonator delete over axle pipes to Flowmaster outlaws. The car sounded bada$$, but like a bomb on cold starts, & very tough to talk while driving.

2k drone was tough to deal with on long highway trips, hard pops when reving down, everything you want in a racecar, but this is my daily driver. I decided to quiet the exhaust down so I wasn’t so paranoid about getting pulled over (already got 1 modified exhaust ticket) didn’t want to chance it on getting something more serious issued.

The install was pretty easy. Yes, the positioning of the tips was tough but I had a buddy pushing the muffler w/their foot while I held the rubber hanger to get the tips centered! Spray some short of lubricant first!.

Cold start, sounds stock! super quiet during normal driving, NO 2k drone! step on the gas and you get a deeper mid-loud V8 note. The revs sound louder, than at WOT. My car is a straight sleeper now, super happy!.

These MBRP Installer Series axle-back exhausts replaced some much louder and rusted out axle-back units on my black 2012 V6 convertible. The sound is a much lower frequency rumble (very V8-ish) which I love and it really has more of an old-school muscle car sound when you open up the throttle.

Still exhilarating, but definitely not obnoxious. We can carry on a normal conversation now at 2000 rpm on the highway. I used my new best friend – MAP gas to get the super rusty bolts off the old units and after I heated them glowing orange once, they came right off with a box end wrench! So install went super quick.

the units match up well to the factory hangars. The angled bolt-on tips are nice too because they can be rotated to mimic the bumper cover profile if desired (totally adjustable to preference). Finish is not super bright chrome, but more of a diffused look.

They really look (and sound) classy in my opinion. I can’t discern any difference in performance over the old axle-backs, but I badly needed these new ones anyway.

I removed cats, I removed res, pipes wielded in place. I installed these axlebacks and they have kept my car quiet. The muffler shop felt shocked at how quiet car’s exhaust was without cats. I had no res, no mufflers prior and honestly noise factor remained same with these mufflers and no cats.

I expected louder noise but everything balanced out. The plus side my exhaust has a better tone now, deep tone, throaty through higher RPM. Also no drone at 70mph. I can actually ride on long trips because at low RPM these things are quiet but once you get into throttle they wake up.

They don’t sound as aggressive as roush or corsa but they don’t sound bad. I am going to get around to making exhaust video soon because when I purchased these I took a chance because no one had youtube videos of 5.

0 with these mufflers. I think they’re worth price if you want V8 sound without excessive exhaust levels.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as tone and loudness because I keep reading some people saying that it’s “a little louder than stock” so that seemed pretty quiet to me. I had longtubes, offroad X, and Flowmaster 40s and liked the sound but was kind of tired of the drone and wanted something with that classic muscle car sound.

So I bought an offroad H pipe and this catback and wow, it’s a completely different car. I didn’t notice any performance gains but I didn’t expect that since I already had the longtubes and full exhaust.

I can tell you that if you are putting these on a system with headers and an offroad mid pipe they will be loud enough for almost anyone. Idle and <2000RPM driving (like going through my neighborhood) is pretty quiet, and I like that.

But when I go 1/2-wide open throttle it is very loud. Reminds me of going WOT an F-150 with the 4. 6 and straight pipes that I had a long time ago. I love the looks (tips are nice) and it reminds me of that old late 60s muscle car sound.

The quality of the kit is pretty nice. The only thing I didn’t like is the u-shaped exhaust clamps. In my experience if I don’t clamp them down enough they leak, but if I go too tight they crush the pipe.

So I spent like $35 and got a set of the band-clamps style clamps and a tube of Permatex copper gasket maker (safe for high temps of exhaust) and smeared it on the pipes before sliding them together.

I ended up having 0 leaks. The longest part of the install was trying to adjust everything. I had the system hanging and mostly done within 90 min, but then I spent another couple of hours trying to get them in the best location so I didn’t have any scraping and banging from the pipes hit anything like the rear end.

The tailpipes went on over the rear end with no effort, but I just unbolted the rear shocks and dropped it down so they went right over. Definitely a different sounding exhaust and I love it. Not the typical Flowmaster/chambered muffler sound like many have, but not the super loud and raspy straight through muffler sound that’s (IMO) annoying.

A little pricey but we’ll worth it. My stang can finally breath!! Before it was a dog, because of the stock Y pipe, clogged cats and resonator. The high flow cats in combination with the X pipe, making this a dual exhaust, went together perfectly.

Cold starts are awesome, cruising down the highway and letting down on the gas really puts a smile on your face ?? Installation takes time like any exhaust. Be sure to really get the X pipe up from the center so it doesn’t Bow downward.

The exhaust sits low, so really try to snug it up high if possible. Im really pleased with this kit, it’s well made, solid welds and you get everything you need. Only had to go to the store for some exhaust cement, other than that, take your time and don’t forget to take a break if you start busting knuckles lol.

I am very pleased with this system. It’s a bit deeper than the factory system at idle, definitely has some increased volume when under load going up a hill. At 40-60 mph flat and level cruise it’s hardly even noticeable (automatic with factory 3.

27 gears). Stomp the gas, and it’s very pleasing. Not raspy at all (with factory cats and h-pipe). Loud, but it’s an adult loud. No issues with fit and finish. The mufflers appear to hang about an inch below the factory subframe connectors.

I also used the flat stainless steel band clamps instead of the supplied U-bolts. No problems there. I have no hard proof of any performance gain or loss, but it makes me (and my wife) smile, so bang for your buck-wise, it’s perfect.

I didn’t have time to do it, so I paid a local muffler shop two hours of labor to install and adjust.

I bought this baby and she is a perfect fit. Easy bolt and play. It sits higher than the factory exhaust. And give a good deep throaty sound in the lower rev range and the classic vtec sound. By far the perfect choice for a rsx.
