20 Best Exfoliator For Face Sensitive Skin (2023 Updated)

I have always been an a fan of mechanical exfoliation. However, I recently DESTROYED my skin barrier after buying products from a consultation from an esthetician working for the company of a very well known medical grade skincare company (not sold on LovelySkin).

I went to a new esthetician at a very reputable plastic surgeon’s office and she turned me on to this once my barrier was repaired. It is gentle enough to use with retin-a but also feels like it is actually doing something.

I can’t explain it. It is like the perfect in between very abrasive scrubs and those scrubs that feel like nothing. Also, there is NO overpowering fragrance, doesn’t break me out and does not sting. Please try it!.

This is the first cleanser I re-purchase. I first got this at my local spa, but sadly it closed due to COVID. I’m really happy with this product, it cleans and shrinks the look of my pores and leaves my skin looking tight and polished without drying it.

It’s lasted me a very long time too, and a small amount is all you need. I haven’t tried the other cleansers but this one worked for me and I’m sticking to it. I’ve also used the collagen hydrator and the nutrient toner and will be re-purchasing them too.

I can’t recommend PCA Skin products enough, they are the best products I’ve ever tried and will not put anything on my face if it’s not from PCA.

sounds kind of weird but this product uses smashed wood pulp which is biodegradable obviously as the gentle manual exfoliant. I am not a fan of manual excellence for the most part because people tend to over script their skin which leads to loss plasticity and capillary issues as well as aggravating acne.

That said this is gentle enough with a chemical exfoliant added as well that I really enjoy this product. The fragrance is amazing that in my clients buy it nonstop and love it. Good price point too.

What I love about Paula Begoun’s skincare range is firstly: the transparency. An explanation is given for each ingredient so you know exactly what you’re putting onto/into your skin. Secondly there’s ample opportunity to trial the products via a sample size on the website.

Not to mention a good returns policy. The 2% BHA lotion was one of the products that I invested in full size (along with a bunch of samples) and funnily enough was my least favorite out of everything I ordered.

It’s not that it broke me out or disagreed with me in any way, it just didn’t do much for me. Even after the first 3 weeks of usage, gradually built up to twice daily applications, my skin still looked exactly the same as before I started using it.

Pores, blemishes, oiliness, you name it. zero difference! It’s unfortunate, as I skipped the option of a sample pack, thinking it wouldn’t be enough product to give it a fair try. I was somehow convinced this 1 bottle would be the answer to all my skincare woes (not entirely sure what lead me to believe that!).

The good: it wasn’t harsh on my skin like many BHA products can be, and the application was well controlled, never too much or too little. And I have, after 4 months of continued use seen a very slight difference to clogged pores on my nose (less gunk when using the weekly nose strip) but nowhere near significant enough to warrant a re-purchase.

This is my tried and true holy grail exfoliator. No matter what I try, I always come back to this one. I have emptied soooo many bottles of this. I have very sensitive, combination (super dry/normal in the winter & oily/normal in the summer but I can still use this product all year around despite my skin type) and acne prone skin.

I have to say that I hated this product the very first time I tried it–it stung my skin. It was to the point where I ran into the bathroom to wash it off my face after just a few mins of applying it.

I really tried to like the product but the sting was too painful and the SMELL of this is absolutely atrocious. The product smells like acetone to me and I probably gagged in about 20 different languages when I put it on my face for the first time (although I would rather it smell disgusting than have them add a ton fragrance to the product.

My skin doesn’t do will with heavy fragrances). I left this on my vanity for a few months before I picked it up again–I just didn’t want to waste my money. Someone told me to dilute the product with water on a cotton pad–I tried it and it didn’t sting my face nearly as bad but still some intense tingling going on.

But the next morning, I noticed how soft and rejuvenated my skin looked and felt. I continued to use it once a week and I fell in love with the product and slowly stopped diluting it as much as my skin got used to it.

After 4-5 years of using this religiously 2-3 times a week, I still feel tingling on my skin when I use it but I’ve gotten use to the feeling and the horrible smell because the results are worth it. Due to my sensitive skin, I absolutely can NOT use this product more than 2-3 times a week.

This product is wonderful. It takes me about a little less than a year.

I don’t normally post reviews, but when I see something actually make improvements to my skin I’ve gotta share my experience because I know there’s so much BS in products these days. But Paulas Choice 2% for the win! I got a small sample bottle for $10.

I read the reviews and was a little nervous to do it everyday because of what people were saying. but that wasn’t my experience. I used it everyday, morning & night. I shook the bottle 3 times into my hand and smoothed it over my entire face.

I was using the cotton pads at first, and just doing on the areas that needed it but then I ran out of the pads so I put it in my hands and honestly, it worked way better when I was just using my hands to spread it because it seemed to soak into my face better.

I saw people say that their face would get irritated by using it everyday and the way to use it correctly and see results was to use it once a week. so I just wanted to see how my face would react the next day but nothing felt bad and I decided to do it again in the morning.

I loved how it felt on my skin, and I only had 1 flare up and that was a week later May 26-27th (Photos Included) The pimple went away quickly and I still decided to put the product on my face Night & Day.

I saw people say it isn’t good for sun exposure so not to use it during the day, but I am staying home at the moment so I don’t go outside as often, maybe 20 mins a day. So I took that caution with a grain of salt.

If you go outside more, maybe you should listen to that warning lol. I am not a product expert of how to use it correctly, all I know is I used it night and day and the hyperpigmentation/dark spots on my forehead have really toned down and my skin looks a lot more smooth/brighter which I love.

I always feel like I’m glowing and it feels spa like when I put it on, it’s got a nice relaxing smell and a nice soothing texture to it that isn’t too oily. I still have more in the small bottle and will be buying again! :).

The first product from the August Allure beauty box that I’ll be reviewing is this delicious sugar scrub. After a long and sort of “blah” kind of day, this was the exfoliating refresher that my skin desperately needed.

The product holds the soft yellow hue of lemonade and the smell of a piña colada, and is super relaxing to apply. The sugar grains are invigorating but not too harsh. This was so fun to squeeze out and massage into my skin.

I have extremely sensitive skin, and I did not experience any irritation or discomfort from using this product. This is a great gentle exfoliator that is not going to disrupt your skin’s balance. The product features probiotic extracts and, you guessed it, pineapple! This is the perfect summer facial cleanser, and the smell makes you feel like you’re in a vacation spa.

When you rinse with warm water, the sugar and formula completely melts off your face, leaving your skin feeling cleansed but not stripped. I was almost hesitant after rinsing this off, because I did not get that satisfying “squeaky clean” feeling you get with some facial scrubs or cleansers.

However, after applying my normal skincare routine directly afterwards, which consists of a serum and lotion (I use Dior Capture Totale and DreamSkin) there was a noticeable benefit in how my products absorbed compared to if I had stripped my skin in a traditional cleanse.

Sort of like how you don’t want to strip your hair of all of its protective and natural oils, this is a great product to keep clean without depleting your natural moisture. I love that this contains probiotics, because over time I have seen how important it is to “feed” the microbiome on our skin and nourish it back to life.

I’m reminded of the same benefits from the Bloom cream I tried a few days ago. Overall, this is a fun and tropical retreat for your skin that will help you unwind after a long day at the office. Now if only they made a rose scent….

The packaging of this item is on point. It indicates that it has probiotics and superfoods which is very trendy lately so I was definitely intrigued. The scrub itself is very gentle and lightweight which accommodates my combination skin quite well.

I have very sensitive skin and have been weary of exfoliators because in the past I have had allergic reactions. However, this product did not react to my skin at all. I did not get a rash which makes this product very beneficial to my skin time routine.

It’s a scented product which I was a bit nervous about because some products can have a strong scent. This scrub, however, did not. It gives off an island beach vibe because it smells like pineapples and papayas which makes it even more appealing! The scrub itself is not oily or greasy at all.

I haven’t used this product for very long so I cannot speak of its long term affects but I am hopeful that it brightens my skin and gives me a more even skin tone just as it advertises. I highly recommend this product! My search for an effective exfoliator may have ended here!.

So I have tried this on my face cause the other exfoliating face scrubs/washes made my sensitive dry skin feel really tight and somewhat drier afterwards. So I use this and it makes my face clean without those negative feelings.

Now, I don’t know why I did this but I did it anyways. So, one day I had really irritated skin on my chest and neck, like tiny hives, and I just felt like it was due to impurities and what not. So I decided to use this on them.

After putting the scrub on and rubbing it over the areas I wanted, I waited for about 3-5 mins, then rinsed it off. I gotta say, it did not irritate or make my skin worse. But then, amazingly, an hour later, I noticed my skin feeling less irritated and less red, and the hives were going away.

So no matter how much money I spent on Eczema cream from dermatologists or steroid creams or moisturizers, nothing seemed to work well. But this sugar scrub seems to make my skin feel as good as new almost immediately.

I don’t know what the heck it is but I am so glad I found this stuff. I wish they made it in a bigger container though!!.

I purchased this as a 3 piece set around Christmas time & I’ve still been using it. The only reason it is still lasting is because I do alternate with my other products from QVC, don’t think their would be any left of any of them, had I just been using these.

I really enjoy the scrub, the nourish ( moisturizer?) Did have a horrible smell & made me think it might have been old too, unless that is the way it’s sopose to smell? I will continue to use only the scrub when it’s on sale or mixed with other products.

I think it leaves my skin feeling fresh & glowing. I basically just discarded the other two items because I enjoy my moisturizer I’m using now. I’m sure Jane is probably a sweet woman, but. I haven’t been impelled to buy anything, anymore if she is selling, 3 different times I feel like I’ve been fooled & it’s hard to believe she uses & owns 80 percent of what she’s demonstrated, & also her hyperness makes me too nervous to shop.

I do hope this lancer scrub comes around soon with maybe something else in their ‘ line’, I’ll definitely be interested!.

I bought the super size Polish as part of a set with the other two super sized Lancer skin care products – the Cleanse and the Moisture. I’ve been using these products for over a year and never had any problems and my skin looks great.

However, I started using this new Polish last week, and I’ve started getting bumps under my skin, almost like cystic acne. I can only attribute it to this product. Perhaps they manufacture it differently or use different ingredients in this large size? It has a bit of a chemical smell, and it’s very citrusy, whereas before it had a soothing, fresh scent with a touch of lavender scent.

I don’t know if I should stop using it or what, but it’s an integral part of the skin routine so I feel I need to use it. It’s disappointing because I really love Lancer products as they have worked well for me and agree with my skin.

This is another product I also recently purchased as part of a favorites bag on a skincare website (Dermstore). Let me just say how impressed I am with this beauty bag. For $52. 50, you get a bag filled with several skincare products with a retail value of $241.

A few of the products in the bag are full size. Lancer the method polish was on the full size items. I have never tried anything from this line until now and this polish is such an amazing facial scrub.

You need very little and the granules are so small that you can barely feel any pressure. Not to mention how soft my skin feels after using it. This facial scrub is a dream. Highly recommend!.

I don’t usually leave reviews on Ulta because so many people do. But this product I could not ignore. I have tried a number of Microdemabrasion Scrubs for sentive combination skin. Nothing seemed to get my skin smooth.

But this scrubs formulation works good for me. Remember people you have to use these items correctly for them to work. I cleanse my face first and then I apply this scrub to my wet face. I do gentle circles while apply a little pressure.

Not too much pressure ladies and gents because you can harm your skin. I do it for about a minute. I rinse it off good then pat my face dry. I apply my dermatologist gel for my acne, let that sit and dry down.

Then I apply my daily moisturizer. Once that dries down I then apply my ceramide serum. My skin is glowing! The scrub gives me smooth skin! I say give it a try! If anything changes I will do an update.

But so far 1 time a week is all I need!.

I use this product twice a week, as directed. I am in my 30s with adult acne-prone skin. I have red marks on my forehead, cheeks, and even my neck. I have only used this twice, but I have noticed a big difference in the redness and brownness of my acne scars.

I first clean my face, then wet it again with lukewarm water. After that, I take about a dime size of this scrub and rub it very gently in circular motions on my face and neck where I have the scars.

After that, I rinse with lukewarm water and pat to dry. It does make my face red afterwards, so I only use it at night. By the morning, however, my face is bright and smooth, and the acne scars have lessened.

I have scars that are over ten years old, and this is helping to fade them! I highly recommend this!.

I have used Dermalogica products in the past so was very excited to try the Daily Milkfoliant. I have been searching for a microfoliant that does not irritate my sensitive, easily reddened skin, for a long time.

I had almost given up hope of finding one. I have used ones that exfoliated brilliantly but were so harsh it felt like I had taken a blow torch to my skin. Others felt lovely and did not irritate but I found they actually did nothing.

in terms of exfoliation. Daily Milkfoliant is the perfect blend of effective micro-exfoliation that soothes the skin and does not strip. You definitely do not need to use more than recommended to generate a silky, creamy lather that you can feel buffing away dead skin cells with minimal effort.

The packaging is a lovely colour and feels solid without being heavy and you only need one hand to open and close the lid. The powder is very fine but does not clump and you only need damp hands to activate it effectively.

I could definitely see and feel an improvement in my skin texture even after the first use. I do not usually use daily foliants daily as my skin irritates easily. I used Milkfoliant daily and it did not irritate my skin or make it feel over exfoliated.

Over a week I definitely saw my skin redness reduce and my pores stayed unclogged. My other skin care products were able to work much more effectively so my oily T zone was much improved. I will definitely be keeping this in my routine from now on.

It might seem a bit exxy but it will last a long time and is by Dermalogica so a high quality product that works out very good value overall. I think this is an excellent product for sensitive combination skin that gets clogged up with dead layers because of the benefits I could see even in a short time of use.

I’ve been using this every day for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! As a skincare addict, I’ve used a few other powder cleansers before, and this one has surpassed my expectations. My skin is on the dry side in winter so I always opt for more hydrating products.

I’ve been using the Milkfoliant as my second cleanser after my oil and my skin always feels so smooth and soft when I rinse. I love the blend of coconut milk, oat bran and AHA/BHA’s, it’s a match made in heaven for even the most sensitive of skin! I was kindly gifted this to try (lucky me!) but I have loved it so much that I went out and bought one for my mum too – she is 70 and has sensitive skin and has absolutely loved adding it into her routine as well! The only down side of a powder is that it can get messy / is hard to use in the shower, but I just put the lid on and off quickly and keep it away from the running water and haven’t had any problems.

The benefits far outweigh the small challenge in my opinion! I really can’t recommend this product enough, especially to anyone who struggles with dry, rough, irritated or sensitive skin.

I’ve been trialing this product once a week after cleansing and the results have been amazing. Only a small amount of powder is needed to create a unique nourishing lather that feels like heaven on my skin.

I’m able to massage it in without worrying that it’s too harsh and my skin doesn’t look red or feel too dry after using it. Instantly my skin looks and feels more healthy. It’s texture is smoother and it’s appearance is more vibrant.

I love that it includes nourishing ingredients such as oat, coconut and botanical extracts. The product packaging makes the powder easy to dispense and the price is fair as it will last a long time. I’m basically a skin Medica addict. Anything they have a pretty much love. This face wash was literally my go to for the past few years. I love everything about it I love the scrubs all the yuck, I love that foams I love that has little to no scent.

I love how giant the package is, more bang for your buck! I was on my third or fourth tube of this and washed my face like any other night. Felt like I had gotten a tiny eyelash in my eye but couldn’t find it.

Went to bed that night still irritated. The entire next day my eye started swelling and running, and hurting so bad! The following day I was able to get into my primary care who then referred me to an eye doctor.

That afternoon I saw my eye doctor, day three of this pain! The eye doctor flipped my eyelid, looked with a microscope and pulled out a microbead that came from this face wash! Supposedly it’s a plastic micro bed that was outlawed in the state of California.

Haven’t fact checked this but he seemed pretty concerned. He said that it was the second time in 33 years of practice that he had seen something like this. Great face wash if you want to live on the wild side and take your chances! Otherwise find some thing else.

For most of my adult life, I used cream cleansers. However, I had began to notice increasing numbers of blocked pores and skin dullness. I read about SkinMedica’s AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser and decided to try it.

It goes on a dampened face quite smoothly. The jojoba spheres are not scratchy but soften and melt if I leave the cleanser on my face for 30 seconds or more. Then, using circular motions per the instructions, it loosens makeup, sunscreen, and dead skin – all easily rinsed away with no residual.

After 6 weeks, my face is clear, my skin much healthier in appearance. There is no fragrance (a plus).

I have been using this cleanser for several years now. It is a wonderful medicated cleanser with gentle physical and chemical exfoliation. I was first recommended this cleanser by my dermatologist, and was then pleasantly surprised to see it constantly on the list of “best cleansers” for (1) aging (2) acne (3) glowing skin (4) combo skin (5) best cleansers of all time etc.

It truly is a winner. To be honest, when I first bought it, I was a little shell shocked at the price. I had never spent $50 on a “face wash” (at the time, I was still calling them face wash, but after the purchase I decided to upgrade my language as well), but my dermatologist advised that I should only use the product once a day and to just use a little bit, that I would see – a little bit would go a long way, and then to use a gentle cleanser at the opposite time of the day.

The bottle lasted me almost an entire year, and not only that, I began to see glowing results in my face within two weeks. This was 4 years ago and I would not trade this cleanser for anything in the world.

There is nothing like it. I have had some hiccups in my acne journey since then, do to some changes hormonally with my birth control (UGH, big time), so now my only wish sometimes is that this cleanser would be stronger.

But truly, this cleanser is beautiful, just the way it is. If you’re on the fence, go for it. I still buy it and use it on top of my more medicated cleanser because it is just that wonderful.

I’ve got very dry skin and have a fair amount of breakouts recently as I am using a retinol product and it is purging my skin atm. I used this product and after first use; my skin looked visibly more improved and the texture of my skin gradually improved too.

I perhaps wouldn’t recommend using this daily or too many times a week ( maybe 1 or 2 times a week would be better). Though it does not dry out the skin; too much use will strip the moisture. I follow up with the cerave cleanser and my moisturiser of choice.

Since using this, my skin has been very plump, moisturised, sooo much less texture and dryness. The smell of the product is super mild and the product it set is quite a gentle exfoliate and you don’t need to use a lot of it.

I was very excited to finally get my influenster box. I received the LA Roche-Posay Ultra-Fine Face Scrub. I already had the Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser and I was excited to use these two items together.

My favorite products to use my Lancer Products. The only problem Lancer products are very expensive. I had ran out of my Lancer face wash and scrub and was looking for something to try in the meantime.

I was pleasantly surprise with my results after using the cleanser and the face scrub together. I use the scrub almost everyday because the face scrub left my skin feeling clean. No irritation. My skin never feel tight and I often sometimes I forgot to apply my moisturizer.

My skin always feel moisturized after cleaning my skin. My pores are smaller. My skin is less oily. I am looking forward to trying more of the LA Roche-Posay face and body products.

I would like to first say that I love La Roche Posay products. Their products have helped my sensitive skin tremendously. However, this scrub is disappointing in the size sold. The amount charged is quite a lot for only 1.

69 oz. I find this unacceptable. If this review is read by La Roche Posay product management, I would like to suggest increasing the size to 4 oz for the amount charged. Each product I have used has been appropriately priced for the size, except this scrub.

It works well and is gentle and comforting to my sensitive skin. I would like very much to keep using, but cannot justify doing so based on the amount charged for the small size. Please consider increasing the size.

I was excited to try this product as an Influenceser because of course it’s winter and it seemed perfect for this season’s skin conditions! My face felt really clean after I used it and my skin felt nice, like a perfect balance! It has a nice lather , it leaves my face feeling very clean but not tight.

I felt so fresh afterwards. On the negative side but it’s really a preference I found it to be runny, so when I opened the product some oozes out. I wish it was a little thicker. Overall it’s a very good product I found it really a perfect balance of clean.

It has very very light fragrance and it didn’t bother my face which is currently because of winter dry and sensitive, but it soothed my dry sensitive skin. After it felt better. I definitely would consider buying this product again but I do wish it was thicker.

Although it is a physical exfoliant, my skin didn’t feel as smooth and soft as other scrubs. I had no redness or dryness so that’s a plus. Two stars because it’s labeled as a scrub and it barely scrubbed anything.

The dry spot on my nose is still there and so is the roughness on my forehead. I will continue to use and see if I get any breakouts (will update later).

the Scrub was very gentle. if you have super sensitive skin tis might be the scrub you want to try. it’s not as abrasive as other scrubs I’ve used. After using it, it didn’t try out my skin and it did feel super hydrated either.

The packaging is nothing special just your typical packaging. I didn’t really care for the scent. I also would have liked for it to a have a little more lather seeing that the scrubing properties are so gentle.

Overall the product is ok. Will continue using it.

I know that it’s a little late in life for me (I’m 35), but recently I’ve just really started making an effort to take much better care of my skin. I have oily/combination sensitive skin and have been exploring all kinds of facial cleansers, masks and lotions.

Lately I’ve been using , and again I have to admit that I’m really impressed by Cetaphil. It’s a daily cleanser that has a small amount of tiny exfoliating particles in it. I first lathered it up on my face, and then used my lil’ Scrubbie.

It did an excellent job at removing all of the makeup, dirt and oil from my face, and left my skin looking and feeling very healthy. My skin was baby soft and satiny smooth after using this cleanser.

It did not bother or irritate my skin at all which was great, because my skin can be sensitive to new cleansers. It gently exfoliated my face, and left my skin looking glowing. It did not dry out my skin either, which is something I have to look out for because the area around my eyes and eyebrows tends to dry out easily.

The texture of my skin was definitely more even after using this face wash. It removes dirt, oil and impurities from the face without over-drying and gently exfoliates to buff away dull skin to reveal a healthy, radiant glow.

I followed this face wash with their Healthy Glow Daily Cream, and wow did my face look and feel amazing! This is definitely a facial cleanser that I recommend and something that I certainly can see myself working into my daily routine!.

im actually really happy with this, im allergic to a lot! willow meaning witch hazel, salicylic acid, biotin, cocoa butter, harsh scents, just to name a few. i dont get hives from using this face wash, and i love the very light fresh quality powder scent it has.

its not overwhelming for my sensitivities or migraines, and it doesnt smell like cheap baby powder if you’re wondering. its more of a light fresh scent that isnt overpowering in the least for me, and to me, this smell says clean face, and not “im trying to cover an odor” smell, if i had to explain it thoroughly lol.

its a clear gel consistency with just a breath of grittiness thats very gentle on my skin. NOTHING like those apricot washes with the walnut grounds in them, which dont even belong anywhere near the face! and gave me abrasions and hives.

this cetaphil face gel(extra gentle daily scrub) has become a permanent fixture in my shower and will be for years to come. if you’re looking for a heavy duty scrub then this isnt for you, but you wont be dissapointed in how clean your face gets.

Ever watched the “Home Alone” movie? You know the scene where he puts the aftershave on his face and screams? I imagine this was the scene in my shower last night when I applied this product to my face!! It immediately burned something awful and I could barely get it rinsed off fast enough! My face was so red, splotchy, tight and itchy afterwards.

Even now (12 hours after use) my face is still tight and itchy. This product is NOT GOOD. Not to mention it is very fragranced. STAY AWAY!!.

Smells good, feels good when applying. Creamy consistency when applied generously I like thicker products. I’m sure it dried my face out afterwards however I have weird combo skin so this may not be the best for that oily dry combo.

I can say that it made my face evenly dry that’s actually a plus for me lol it was a gift, no idea where it came from or how much it costs.

I didn’t mind the scent of this product. I did feel like it did a good job in exfoliating my skin and making it feel smooth afterwards. It made my skin feel clean and soft. I feel like it did what it said it would do.

I would use again and do recommend this product.

This product has been “updated” from the picture. The product in the picture I have LOVED in the past, which is why I purchased again. I could tell that there was going to be one change, in that my old tube of facial scrub didn’t say anything about “white lily.

” It gives the impression that a fragrance was simply added–something that I was actually looking forward to. Let’s face it, there’s nothing pretty about the smell of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter products.

However, it wasn’t just the scent that had changed. The old formula was thick and creamy and gently exfoliating. The updated version is thin and runny and feels like sandpaper on my face. Very disappointed.

If using this 2-3 times a week, it has just the right amount of exfoliation to still be gently on my skin yet effective. As far as other reviewers saying it dissolves before they can get it on their face, I don’t rub it together in my hands.

I finally got this after wanting it for over a year. I’m very sensitive to scents. This one smells very pretty but it’s too strong for me. I prefer fresh or a mild scents for my face. It even slightly burned my skin.

So as much as I wanted to love it I don’t, if they come out with another milder or scent less version, I’d definitely try it. My skin does feel soft afterwards and the scent isn’t lingering. I still won’t use this again.

It’s just not a perfect match for me. If you don’t mind a rosy perfume smell this will be perfect for you. It has fine exfoliating grains of sugar and the bottle is pretty.

Changed the formula without any messaging, now takes more product to clean same surface area. I blame Neutrogena, not Walmart for this as I’d never had known until using product and can’t expect Walmart to endlessly test every product they sell to try keeping their vendors honest.

I’d expect better from N as well. Cleaning ability seems about the same but you need to use more of the product for same skin coverage. It’s a higher viscosity, and more oily out of the container than before.

It’s much, much harder to work into a lather on your hands before applying to your face, and you’ll use at least 50% more of it than before. Not to be paranoid, but was that N’s intention here to increase sales? Comparing my last 3 containers of this over the last several months, to 10 years of using what has been sold as exactly the same product.

Doesn’t seem like I got a one off lemon, and I feel like I know this product at least as well as any other user.

I have used this cleanser daily for over 15 years. I opened a new container this week, and on the first use I knew something was different. The little scrubbing beads were gone, the consistency was thicker, the fresh smell was gone, and I felt like I had a residue on my face after using.

Had to scrub hard with plain water to remove the film. Then I saw the words “new formula” on the label. I used it for two more days, and finally decided that I can’t continue using it, there is nothing about it that I like.

Please bring back the old formula, until then I will be looking elsewhere for a face cleanser.

I’ve been using Neutrogena since the 90’s. This cleanser is a lot different than any other I’ve ever tried. It’s thick and creamy with a slight scent. It feels really nice smoothing it over my face. Then comes the weirdness.

It feels like a reverse Icy-Hot. At first there’s a warming sensation. As I start to rinse it, I have a pretty intense cooling sensation. Everytime I use this I still keep checking my skin after showering for any irritation.

I’ve experienced none with my combo skin.

Got this on amazon. It has a very light silky gel texture, kind of like the serum in a sheet mask. First impression was that there were WAY too few beads (you barely feel anything as you rub it in). It feels like a rose petal on your face (literally! so soft!), and it’s extremely light and moisturizing, but it doesn’t do a lot of scrubbing.

When you rinse it off, though – WOW. The end result isn’t much different from what you get with a sugar scrub (it might be even better). Soft, smooth, hydrated skin. I washed it off with the Clear Skin Kombucha gel, which doesn’t usually lather much, but on my newly smooth skin it sudsed up luxuriously.

My serum and moisturizer applied much more smoothly afterward, as well. Just stick with this one. It definitely works, even if you can’t feel the exfoliation.

Some ppl have said this is sticky, it’s not at all if you use it properly. Here’s how you have to use it: wash your face, dry your face, apply this liberally all over your face but not in your eyes, wait about 5-10 mins and then start massaging the stuff in in a circular motion until you’ve gotten all the dead skin cells off your face.

This stuff works like a callous remover, the beads are not exfoliating, that’s not what this stuff is. The emulsion itself will start eating away at your dead skin if used properly. I didn’t understand this when I first tried this like 6 years ago (I was expecting a grainy scrub and thought it fell short as well) but I found out by accident and then it became my favorite stuff to use.

Just understand how it works and you’ll be blown away by how smooth and great your skin looks after.

I was using a more extreme exfoilator before this (one that otherwise gets good reviews) but this is far more gentle on my skin (now older and quite dry). Has some small beads and I do notice my skin is smoother/less dry after.

I have learned in recent months that I have combination skin with harsh product sensitivity! When visiting Nectar and learning the backstory of the company and how it was originally made for children with sensitive skin who still wanted all the benefits from a fun bath time, it made me fall more in love with the products and company.

This is a pretty decent exfoliator. I received this from PINCHme in exchange for my honest review. This is made with rice granules and has the scent of white rice which I’m not particularly fond of. At first it felt a little harsh on my skin, but then smoothed out.

I noticed the affects immediately. My skin was super soft and smooth, plus it looked brighter. It contains no artificial perfumes or colors as well as no harsh chemicals. Unfortunately, even though it did smooth my skin, it was short lived.

This would make me break out the next day. I used it once a week for about 3 weeks and every time after using, I woke up to new pimples. I do like that it made my skin brighter and smoother, but I’m not happy about the breakouts afterwards.

I won’t be using it anymore or purchasing in the future.

🌾 SIMPLE 🌾 Smoothing Face Scrub I am trying out this facial scrub, and I like it a lot. My face feels less greasy and at the same time less dry. The formula is also gentle on my facial skin. This scrub works very well for sensitive skin like mine.

In my experience, other sugar or salt scrub grains are very rough, and leave my skin red and irritated. I’ve had the opposite experience with this scrub, there is no redness or inflammation, it also doesn’t contain chemicals or fragrance.

It’s an excellent dirt remover for the pores and dead skin, and leaves you with a cleaner, lighter appearance on your skin. I highly recommend it!! Thank you Simple, I’m glad I got the opportunity to try one of your products!.

I got this for free from simple®-smoothing-facial-scrub. For sensitive skin and also this product contains rice granules. Even though there’s rice granules, it’s not that harsh to skin when I used it.

This is my first time to use this brand. The brand claimed that this is non comedogenic, hypoallergenic, no artificial perfume or color and no harsh chemicals. Also contains mineral oil, germ powder (oryza sativa rice) and hydrated silica (not good).

All in all ingredients? l am not satisfied. Mostly just chemical formula.

Ok so I’m guilty for using a physical exfoliator even though I know how bad they are for you BUT if you MUST use a physical exfoliator, a sugar based one is the best choice! And the reason why is because physical exfoliators can give you micro tears on the skin which can allow bacteria to make a home for themselves so generally, using a chemical exfoliator is recommended since it’s gentler on the skin, gives you a more even exfoliation, and won’t cause those micro tears! Sugar based are slightly better because sugar particles are round instead of jagged like other physical exfoliators.

I do quite like this strawberry one as it does melt into a less rough texture and makes my nose feel less bumpy from oil build up and it smells very nice! I use this once a week just to give my skin a nice little buff!.

This scrub is perfect for summertime skin. During sunnier days, I wear higher SPF sunscreen and products. I have sensitive skin and worried the product would be too abrasive, but it wasn’t. So long as I have enough water on my face to help break down some of the sugar, the end result is amazing.

I don’t use this product all the time, rather summer days spent by the river or beach where dust tends to settle onto skin. On lighter days, I reach for fresh strawberry scrub – not as harsh, but it gets the job done.

All in all, once you figure out the right amount and how to use the product, it’s worth it.

I have no complaints. I think this product works really well and feels good exfoliating the skin. This product doesn`t feel too harsh in my opinion and it does dissolve if you get it wet. Be sure to use it as directed and you`ll see great results.

I`ve been using this product since October when I received it and I still have a good amount left. I think this product also works great in making my skin feel soft and hydrated after I wash it off, and I have dry skin so it`s usually hard to achieve that without a moisturizer for me.

Last of all, the scent is so amazing!.

Okay, dermalogica was my go to product for what seemed like forever from my favourite spa and salon in cork Ireland. This and pretty much the whole line was used on my face and body. The exfoliant is superb.

It’s like a microdermabrasion but n a bottle. Unlike here in the USA ( as of a couple of years ago) you could get salon spa strength overseas at very reasonable prices. I always loaded up on this brand before heading back to texASS.

My daughters would plunder my stock so I was always running out no matter how much I got. Was always confused to be the sister of my girls — especially when using dermalogica! These pics are not very old.

I’m a big fan of Dermalogica products and I definitely believe in both physical exfoliation and chemical exfoilant. Exfoliating plays such an important role in my skin looking healthy. I love using physical scrubs but I also love using creams , masks, chemical peels etc to get rid of any dead skin cells and impurities.

It has a nice thick creamy texture that you apply to dry skin and leave on for 10’mins. It has lactic acid and fruit enzymes to stimulate cell renewal and get rid of dead skin cells. It also has Aloe Vera to soothe skin.

After using this my skin feels super soft and renewed. I like to have multiple ways to exfoilate and this cream is one of my favs.

I’ve used Gentle Cream Exfoliant for about 15 years. My skin was transformed after using it. It will forever be my holy grail of beauty products. I’ve been a loyal Dermalogica customer for the same length of time and have accumulated lots of free samples when buying your products, so had a little stash after I could no longer buy the cream.

The results of this cream were just amazing – super smooth skin with a shine, all dull, dry bits gone. My skin glowed afterwards. I’d get lots of compliments on how my skin was so smooth and glowing (I’m mid-40s).

I’ve tried the Thermofoliant – much too harsh on my sensitive skin and doesn’t get rid of the dull, dry bits as well as Gentle Cream Exfoliant. I use Daily resurfacing cleanser and microfoliant and while these are good mild exfoliants – nothing can match the power of Gentle Cream.

I am searching the Internet for what remains of this cream. My skin is just not the same. PLEASE bring it back. I don’t know why this was discontinued in the first place?.

I have recently fallen in love with Kiehls. Never have I found a line of products that both meets and exceeds my expectations. I basically want to try everything. I ordered this face scrub as an impulse buy while ordering my usual Conditioning Cucumber Herbal Cleanser.

I couldn’t resist the fruity pineapple papaya vibes, as I love tropical anything. I tried it this week, and oh boy, it’s LOVELY. It is soothing, feels luxurious for a scrub, and just delighted my face.

I felt like I almost didn’t need moisturizer (but then again, I am so happy to put my other’s Kiehls products on my face, so ended up moisturizing anyway). Thanks for another great product. I am sure this will be on my reorder list.

I have been using this Khiels product for the last two months- and I have to say I really enjoy it! I like facial exfoliants but I don’t enjoy scrubs that scrub away too hard at your skin as I have quite sensitive skin.

I find that this Khiels scrub is non irritating as the exfoliating particles in the scrub are very fine and do not hurt the skin. It leaves my skin not red and looking very glowy and radiant. I also noticed that the longer I used it the Moreno the texture of my skin was improving over time.

This does a really great job of smoothing out my skin and I always find it to be very smooth and soft to the touch after using this scrub. I don’t particularly love the smell of the product as it has a slightly chemical scent- which is the main negative for me.

I like the texture of the product it is a thick gel consistency with the exfoliating particles suspended in the gel. I find the texture means that the product goes quite a long way- you only need a small pea sized amount so the full 100ml will last ages if only used twice a week!.
