20 Best Ethernet Cable For Xbox One (2023 Updated)

I bought this because another shopper remarked on the success with a Roku player, and I’ve had the same success. I connect it to my modem/router in the living room and run it 30 ft to the Roku in my bedroom.

I’m impressed with the quality of the plug connections. They’re very stiff and durable, not at all like the plugs on the standard ethernet or phone cord. Good quality and I definitely recommend.

Majority of cords are 25 feet and I was concerned that might be just a little short, so I ordered this one. Works fine.

Needed to move my network equipment to a different location and used this network cable as an upgrade. Cut to different length as. Low price and recommended.

I was excited like most to get a nice set of cables for my network cabinet. I recently decided to test these flat cables I had bought in these past. Half of them on my network were open or had a short.

So I decided I would switch back to round cables and try a couple of CAT 8 cables on my NAS. When I tested all three cables tested open. A continuity issue. Then when I put them on my Southwire cable test or one had a shielding issue.

I think the shielding was grounded to one of the wires. Newegg is sending me replacements. If these have issues Im going to the distributors that sell to the installers. Because Im finding most cables have issues.

When my switch and wire test or are finding bad cables. What gives. Is anyone testing these cables out?.

Definitely recommend this company. I was looking all over am*z*n for a good Ethernet cord but all the reviews for cords on there seemed to say the same thing mostly: -Advertised as Cat 7 or 8 but was actually 5 or 6 -Flimsy, made in china garbage -stopped working after a while for no apparent reason However, these cords seem to be exactly what they were advertised as.

Hopefully they hold up over time. I will update if anything goes wrong.

Would recommend this product CAT8 if you are looking for a more Secure or Solid Connection without getting any interruptions or kinks in the cable But not if you are expecting a faster download speed

The cable were 200ft and tested as they should. What we did not like is the blue casing cracked at the ends where they went in at the RJ45 connection. The wire was of poor quality and had to use repeaters to send signal more than 200ft.

Ordered 24 of them and every one of them cracked or broke. As the saying goes cheap will cost you more. The best thing I can say about the cables is the company I bought the from in California shipped the cables to me in Texas in 2 days the first time and the second time in three days.

I bought this 50′ CAT5 to work from home during these terrible times. I was so very happy to be able to run the cable line around my room temporarily from my work desk top that I brought home instead of jumping over a short cable that I had to use from my usual cubicle work space.

What a life and time saver not to have to plug a cable in and out each day. I recommend it for temporary or permanent use. My work internet speed is perfect.

not very good cable. It got bent easily due to my dogs pushing our sofa. Due to it being bent the wires got internally damaged and was not able to transmit data. I replaced it with a Phillips brand cable and these one double wrapped so it cannot be bent easily.

the same time a Roccat head set and a Razer Basilisk mouse with a 2. 4Mghz (receiver/ transponder) and the 2. 4 has a blue color to its substrate while the headset is of a white color and does not fit into the port correctly (that is it does not fit snugly, like if I were to be using my windows 7 machine).

I’m sure all of you, who might read this already know this. As for me, I had no idea. Oh, and it’s a lot faster with the more snug fit comes thicker wire and probably some more connection points. I’d have to say the same is true for the differing USB’s as well.

I just wish that when I bought my new machine that the sales person would have told me about the changes; or at least the manufacture could have put in a small pamphlet explaining why your old flash drives and your cat5 cables don’t fit snugly.

As we all know, working from home adds a layer of performance to the home equipment that is not necessary when working from the office. Two of us were required to work from home for the remainder of last year.

My desktop, with a direct connection to an Ethernet switch and the modem always worked properly. My partner’s laptop, however, insisted on randomly shutting down off the WIFI, then going into airplane mode.

It was easy enough to me to reset the adapter, but not so easy for her to do every few hours. The solution: Hard-wire her laptop into the remaining open port in the Ethernet switch, and permanently turn off the WIFI adapter.

I bought a cable long enough to make the trip, and used CAT6 cable to assure the cable length had no adverse affect on the laptop performance. It has been 4 weeks now since the cable was installed, and the laptop has functioned perfectly.

I like when my technical solutions work as planned!.

Okay I get it. It is device that we use to connect the devices that we love, but having a good cable sometimes can be just as important as the device itself. If you are looking for a qality picture, sound or just providing the right amount of power to your devices you want a good cable or power cord to connect those devices.

Now is not the time to go cheap because you get what you pay for. For example, if you spend several hundred dollars on a good TV that provides a good picture a cheap HDMI cable is not going to cut it.

If you want good sound from you optical device again you have to pay for quality. If you want good network connections then again why be cheap LOL! The last example is a good power cord because how many products can be damaged through poor power cables.

So in conclusion do what you want but for me a quality cable is important after spending hundreds of dollars on a device.

I tested the internet speed before plugging in this cable and after and when I used this cable, my internet speed did increase a little but wasn’t drastic. I like that it’s a little longer than a normal cable so you have more options of where to move your equipment.

I would, however, recommend this if you want to be able to have increased speed especially if you’re running multiple devices. This cord will definitely help.

I recieved this product a couple of weeks ago and it is awesome. I use it for my router and it is so lightning fast it unbelievable. I will not use any other cord for it ever again. I totally recommend this.

This cable works exactly how it is suppose to. You might ask why 4 stares instead of 5 then, well, that has to do with the cable release design. Once this thing is on it’s really really hard to press the release to get it off.

I had to take a razer knife and “modify” mine. this may not be an issue for your applications but it was a problem for me.

The laptop was purchased for work and I am happy so far with it. The screen is clear and applications runs smoothly. Battery life seems to be a little short but i’m not taking the laptop anywhere off of my desk so its not an issue.

16gb of Ram is optimal since i do use tons of applications such as Excel. Not a fan of windows 11 but i can live with it. Camera is not super high resolution but i’m ok with that. I do wish that there was more than one HDMI port.

I’ve tried using the USB-C port to add another monitor but it did not work.

I bought these cables, because I needed to connect one electronic item to another. The package was easy to open and I only cursed a few times trying to remove the twist tie. I believe someone at the packaging company was distracted half way through twisting, then changed direction and kept twisting.

I don’t know why it didn’t become untwisted, but knotted. Well after a few choice words and a trusty wire snipper my cables were released. I connected the items together and the clips secured the connection as expected.

Now I would have given 5 stars but the cables were 1 foot too long. I needed 13’ not 14. Now my OCD is tested every time I walk by. I wake up at 3:02 am in cold sweats because the excess cable slack.

It makes me ponder our excesses as humankind. Then I realized, these are cables and they work just fine.

Truly only ever got 100 mbps. The cord is flimsy and cheap. You truly are getting what you paid for. Take the time to spend a little more for good quality stuff

I bought this cable to run my DSL phone line from the outside phone box to the jack inside. It works fine. I also made a couple short cat6 cables that go between modem – router – computer. All work just fine.

The only thing that I wish was different, since I cut the cable up to make several cables out of it, the coloring of the wires. It’s not the color code I am used to seeing. That said, the cable works just fine.

If you plan to use it as is, no cutting, then that doesn’t matter anyway.

This cable works great. I bought it in July 2017 and have been using it for 1. 5 years now, no problems. I do not use WiFi, so I needed this cable to use my laptop and get internet anywhere in my house, just plug one end into my modem and the other end into my laptop.

At 100 feet I can reach anywhere I need to go, so if you don’t use WiFi this is a great option. There can be significant health issues with excessive EMF exposure and while I realize we are exposed to WiFi and cell towers signals everywhere we go, I choose to reduce the exposure in my home by using hard-wired connections.

I still get plenty of exposure from my neighbors, but any reduction at all is helpful.

The patch cords themselves work awesome; the only minor issue is the tab that’s molded around the connector makes it a wee bit difficult to remove it from the source. Since that’s not normally a day-to-day issue it’s not a big deal, but I do wish they stuck with a standard design.

Not a game changer, these are still a great product, especially for the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again.

Ethernet cables have writing on the sleeve, giving tech specs about the cable. Sometimes it is very richly colored, sometimes it is not. I had a need to expose a white cable, & searched for one that had faintly-visible writing on the sleeve.

(I couldn’t do a ‘extra slim’ cable at 50′, & certainly didn’t want flat) The ad pictures showed this to be the best contender. I received it today, and YES it is. The spec writing on the sleeve is very faint, thank you! Yes the cable design is fine & speeds are great.

This is a awesome cable for a wired net experience. They came in different lengths. They are all great I am sure just quality. It fixed the issue where one wire was stretched to the limit and that other cable was old and grubby.

But not after I replaced it with this one I like the color that helps the wire be stylish. I bought two of them together and that totally made the house happy one for me and family. It was instantly connected and working.

This Cat 6 Ethernet cable is of good quality and rated for “in wall”, installation. I used it to run a permanent wire in the ceiling to a media room. It feeds an Home Essentials Direct Fire Stick 4K and works well.

The tabs on the plug are strong and covered under rubber boots. In my case, where I do not plug and unplug the cable with use, that works out great as I never have to worry about the cable coming loose.

Unplugging it can be a bit of a challenge going “bare hands”. The trick is to use a small flat screw driver that enables you to fully push in the locking tab to release the plug; I think it is the rubber boot that covers the release tab that limits how far in you can push the tab making it seem impossible to unplug.

If you have a need to frequently unplug the Ethernet cable then perhaps you may want to consider a different cable to avoid potential frustration; perhaps a cable without the rubber boot or one with a softer rubber boot.

If you are using it for a more permanent setup where you do not unplug it after installing then this is a great value and it works well. Giving 5 stars for permanent use application which is my experience.

For frequent unplug need, I would rate it 4 stars because of the rubber boot on the plug making it difficult to unplug; use of a small flat screw driver does help.

I ordered 4 of these in blue, 25 ft. I just started using them and found that the boot over the release does not work properly. It is very difficult to get the release pressed down far enough to release the cable.

Fortunately my intent was to cut these down to use as custom length cables, so I also bought packages of the blue strain relief boots (50 pack) #7248. These separate boots look like they should allow the connection to be depressed enough to improve the release.

If you buy these cables use them in sites where you seldom have to move the cables.

I was setting ups some gear and needed direct connection over a distance that was longer than most cable. Best Buy offered up the item on line and it was noted that it was at my local store. I ordered it then 3 hours later went and picked it up.

Thus, the entire transaction for this cable went without a hitch. The cable itself comes in a drab plastic type of bag. This is no frills as they likely know those who order it wont care for inviting packaging.

I would like to give this cable 4. 5 stars but it only allows whole numbers. I would have given this cable 5 stars if the rj45 connectors on the end were of a higher caliber. Overall the cable does its job and the speed of transmission is reflected by its cat 6 designation.

The cable does exactly what it needs to do, and the blue color is nice. That’s pretty straightforward, but If you still need some convincing on how much Ethernet is needed, I have some words for you.

The difference is substantial for consoles and PC. I thought the use of LAN/Ethernet was over exaggerated but it was all true. I went from 200mbps to 500mbps, which resulted in incredibly faster download speeds and streaming.

If you often play games online, please get yourself one of these. Wired connection is much more reliable than wireless and reduces latency. You’ll notice the difference immediately.

No issue with this cable. Plenty of length, snap in rj45 connector for secure connection, no drop in signal for me. One is ran over 20 feet, the other about 70 feet through to back bedroom to legacy desktop that’s only b/g/n so this is significant improvement over wireless.

Also swap it to a dell dock for work laptop without any issues. Would recommend. The pale purple is an improvement over the standard blue, but grey would be good too.
