20 Best Essential Oils For Sugar Scrubs (2023 Updated)

I am a big fan of Dr Teals and have been using their products for a few years now. I have everything from their body oil, lotion, and hand soap. This product is great for so many reasons. First it has a thick consistency and applies very nicely to the skin.

Many body scrubs that I have used in the past are too watery with harsh beads that irritate my skin. This body scrub has gentle beads that melt into your skin as your rub it in. My skin feel so moisturized after using it.

Also, the smell is so amazing! It’s a nice refreshing scent that wakes me up in the morning. It is a nice blend of oils that doesn’t smell artificial or overpowering. When I went to hug my husband after getting out of the shower, he even commented on how nice I smelled.

Overall I think this product is absolutely great and I would 10/10 recommend it.

I received this complementary free sample of this sugar scrub in the mail from Influenster! I used it for the first time this morning, and noticed a dramatic difference right away! The texture is very thick and gritty, how I would expect a sugar scrub to feel like.

It’s not a dry scrub like other sugar scrubs I’ve come across before, so it lathers on easily in the shower. And it’s not like other scrubs that say they’re exfoliating but are actually more like a body wash.

it is perfect for using before you shave and/or after, to help prevent ingrown hairs. I noticed a dramatic difference in my skin tone after washing just one leg! It definitely removes dead skin without hurting your skin.

I would only use this a few times a week, with how effective it is! The scent is really good, although I prefer more fruity and floral scents, but this reminds me of pina coladas almost !.

Dr. Teals is no stranger in our home. My family has used their products for years now. From their Epsom salts to foaming bath, sleep sprays and lotion, we are fans, and for a reason. They work, and work well, which is why I was not surprised this Shea sugar scrub was so good.

So what makes this scrub good? Right from the start I was impressed with it’s texture. It’s thicker than others I’ve used, which I really like. It applies nicely and does a fantastic job of exfoliating my skin; especially my dryer areas such as my elbows, sides and arms (where I often struggle with keratosis pilaris), leaving it soft and smooth, without feeling greasy.

It also works beautifully on my legs prior to shaving, helping to prep them to be silky smooth. The scent is lovely. To me it smells slightly sweet, which I enjoy. This scrub is all around good, and I highly recommend giving it a try.

This is absolutely phenomenal stuff! I’m almost finshed with my first jar which was the cucumber. Very sudtle cucumber scent. Kinda makes you think it’s made with a fresh squeezed cucumber. It’s not a scent thats is going to make you smell like cucumbers all day.

Which I like because I don’t like my oils/lotions to clash or over power with my perfume. I am a walking allergy with eczema and kp. I’ve not had any reactions and it has improved my skin (esp. Legs) so much! Now everyone is different so I’m not saying it will be good for you but its done unbelievably amazing changes for my skin.

With having eczema and kp its hard to find something you like that actually works. THANK YOU! I love love love purescubs so far. off to buy a different scent.

This came earlier than expected. A little goes along way. I have very dry rough skin. This left my skin smoother even on my face than anything I’ve used. You do need to apply a moisturizer. It has a strong fragrance but that did not stop me from using it.

The description said it included a wooden spatula and application pad. It was not included. That’s not a big enough problem to return the product.

Really nice and soothing Heavenly scented scrub in a moisturizing oil base. Set come with a little wooden spoon that can be stored in the jar, and a mini loofah pad with a loop so it can be hung to dry.

Does a good job exfoliating.

Surprised that this doesn’t have any reviews here because it definitely needs to be talked about more. This stuff is INCREDIBLE. Very fair price point, the scrub is amazing and leaves your skin underneath feeling so soft and moisturized and the serving is generous.

Everything about this is awesome! It smells so good and exfoliates my skin really well without being too rough. It has the perfect size and amount of grit to clear away dead skin with a nice scrubby feeling, while being soft to the touch and leaving skin feeling soft as well! I love that you get such a large amount for such a great price!!!! For a full body scrub, it’s annoying when the container is so small you feel you have to use sparingly! At 19 ounces for $5, I am able to get a lot of use out of it! Wouldn’t change a thing! This is now an everyday staple for me!.

I received Dr Teal’s Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Rose Essential Oil in exchange for an honest review of the product. I suffer from dry skin on multiple areas of my body, so when I was offered Dr Teals Shea Sugar Body Scrub, I signed up immediately.

The first thing I noticed when opening the container was the scent. I absolutely love the smell of this sugar scrub! The smell of the rose essential oil is prominent but not overpowering. It has a true rose scent that smells so pleasant.

I am super happy with this body scrub. It makes showering feel like a luxurious experience. The texture is rough, which is how an exfoliating scrub is supposed to be. When applied, it really feels like I’m cleaning my skin thoroughly.

The smell is florally and strong, but in my opinion that enhances the experience. It’s definitely a great product when you’re in the mood to pamper yourself. The product itself feels cool to the touch when you scoop it out of the jar, which is oddly satisfying during a hot shower.

This dr teals shea sugar body scrub in my opinion is something good to have on hand especially in the winter time. In the winter months my skin tends to get dry with some dry patches. This body scrub from the very first use has greatly helped my skin.

This makes my skin silky, soft and scrubs dry skin away. It is easy to use. I use this when i take a shower. I just take a small amount in my hands and gently rub it on my body. When done it washes off with no problem.

I cannot forget to mention the scent which is roses, my favorite scent. I would highly recommend this to anyone to help with dry skin.

I had no idea I was getting this voxbox, but it showed up today made my day! I can’t find my usual sugar scrub, it’s like Influenster just knew exactly what I needed. It smells freakin’ incredible…most rose scented products smell awful, but Dr Teals got it right.

So far I have just tried it on my hands (which have been dry painful from washing them so much) after just two uses, they’re sooo soft my skin is no longer on the verge of cracking. I’ve never tried a sugar scrub but I’m really glad i did! I have a water softner in my home and it dries my skin out in the winter. I usually use a veggie bush to exfoliate but it takes to much time.

You can really smell the elderberry and its a wonderful addition. It works really well and smells beautiful.

I just love the Black Elderberry scent with essential oils. I have used other scrubs but this is by far the best I’ve encountered. When using the scrub The minut you put it on the skin it dissolves really well and not leaving the sugary feel substance on your skin.

This stuff really melts like butter. The oils give your skin great moisture. This container is 19 oz and it a nice size. I am very pleased with how this scent lasts all day on body. I am so glad this product exist I look forward to purchasing more products very soon.

I was looking for a body scrub to exfoliate my dry skin, especially being winter. I bought the scrub and oil combo and was pleasantly surprised! The scrub has oil in it, so it hydrates as it exfoliates, which is what my skin needs.

I was hesitant about the body oil because what I’ve used in the past has just sat on my skin and was messy, but this actually absorbs into my skin, leaving my skin hydrated. I’ve bought more sets to last me awhile!.

The body sugar scrub was the best scrub I’ve ever used. I’ve tried so many sugar scrubs from so many companies but SugarMeSmooth was by far the best. Not only did it get right of the dead skin but it hydrated my skin at the same time.

I live in a dry area and it was so wonderful to not have to pump a ton of lotion on to myself after every shower. I love SugarMeSmooth’s body sugar scrub and I will 100% be buying it again and again.

At first I was hesitant to use because I was afraid the oil and scrub would clog up my skin and cause break outs. I am glad I decided to use them! I use the scrub a few days after I wax to help keep dead skin of to stop ingrown hairs.

I used it maybe 3 times a week and it makes my skin so soft. In the shower it feels like you are super oily but once you dry off, the oil feeling goes away and you are left with soft skin. I use the oil on my legs after I shave or wax.

It keeps them moisturized and I keeps the hair from growing back so fast. Once its rubbed in, it doesn’t feel oily. I can put the oil on my legs and then get in the bed and not have oil spots on my sheets.

The scent is nice and authentic. The stars are NOT for the scent and the quality, but because I most likely received a half empty bottle. I’ve used this oil maybe 5 times max and it’s now completely empty compared to my other ones which last much longer.

I use about 10 drops even though it suggests 20. It’s hard to tell how much is in the bottle because it’s matte black and I guess I didn’t check (up against a bright light) when it arrived if it was missing half the liquid because, you know, I expected to receive an unused product.

I get that I bought this during the summer sale but I can assure you that I still wouldn’t have bought it half off if I knew the bottle was half gone :/.

I absolutely love how elegant this diffuser looks. I was definitely looking for something luxurious and this was it. I have it placed amongst my plants in my bedroom and it’s helping us all deal with the dry air.

I use the sweet orange essential oil in the mornings and moonbeam and ceremony essential oil blends in the evenings. The scents are incredible and you really only need tiniest amount — they’re so concentrated!.

vitruvi’s ylang ylang is lovely—probably the best I’ve ever smelled. But it IS potent. When I use it in a blend in my diffuser (example: lavender, ylang ylang, frankincense, cedarwood before bed), I find even just a couple drops can overpower the blend, so I need to be careful.

That being said, the quality is exceptional. It’s pure, delightful, and smells like a bouquet of fresh flowers. It’s incredible to achieve and experience that kind of abundance and true to life-ness in an EO.

This is a standout in my collection, I just need to be mindful and intentional with how I use it. I’m still experimenting, but I think I prefer using it in bath & beauty products and rituals rather than diffusing.

I also find it rather feminine and a little too much for my husband, so if diffusing, I use it when I want to carve out time and space for myself, which also lends it a kind of mysterious and magical quality—not unlike a secret garden.

If you love ylang ylang and strong florals, you will love this abundant EO.

I was never into scrubs, but I tried this at the store and ended up really liking it. This can be used for dry hands or whole body- I’ve used it for both. My skin is soooo soft after using this. I use it once a week so I don’t irritate my skin.

This has amazing and no harmful ingredients. I would recommend this for dry skin. It’s affordable, and smells so nice!.

Love this scrub! The fragrance is a little strong, but since it gets washed off, I don’t mind. I do like the smell. It is very emollient and leaves a lovely Shea butter moisturizer on after. I love the fact that it isn’t oily or just the harsh particles.

I use it before I shave and it helps pick up hairs and put an extra layer of film between my legs and the razor. My new favorite scrub.

This product is the best thing in the world. Who ever tells otherwise is lying. I have used this product for over 12 years. Your skin becomes heaven soft shine with an irresistible smell. Not only that you relax so much you forget about the world.

I remember first tryjng this years ago and I was floored my first experience. The scent was so spot on and smelled fantastic. It woke me up during my showers and got my ready to face the day. This is one of my all time favorite exfoliants.

Definitely reccomend this to everyone if you live for eucalyptus/spearmint scents.

These sugar scrubs are my favorite! So luxurious! The sugar exfoliates my skin so well. The scent eases all my stress. And the oils nourish and hydrate my skin. I pat my skin gently with a towel after showering and rub the oil into my skin.

It leaves me with the softest skin!.

Arrived very fast I got this oil for my friend who has a lot of pain in his foot. I applied right from the bottle and I also mixed it with a carrier oil unfortunately it didn’t help him but! It does help me I suffer with cluster migraines and they last 3 to 7 days then my fibromyalgia starts.

So it has helped me as soon as I think I’m getting any miag pain. I use it full strength on my third eye and temples also on my forehead it’s so nice to feel the tingling sensation and wafting up my nose, helps head pain so that’s what it does for me , I think it’s decent quality, and all good therapeutic quality oils usually come in small bottles.

It would be a shame for it to get rancid. Thank you. 😉.

This bottle is easy to use, it runs out slowly so I can control how much goes on my lava beads. I mix it with baking soda to freshen my mattress. I love the way I sleep after cleaning the mattress, I use less incense now at night.

I get the relaxing benefits from the bed. I use it in the shower by adding it to my conditioner. The shipment came quickly and safely no problems with the packaging. The size is fine but would like it to have been bigger, but I can order 2 next time.

Because I use it in several ways I know the amount I would like to have on hand.

The Delivery was good, no complaints there. The oil on the other hand – I smelt it as soon as I opened the bag, it was so strong, and not at all Lavender. I unwrapped it from the bubble wrap and the chemical smell got even stronger.

The bottle was sticky which indicated a break in the seal. I put 3 drops on my anxiety bracelet I ordered with it, and the smell was so strong and overwhelming, I got sick and it gave both my husband and I headaches for the night.

We use Lavender scented stuff around the house all the time, trash bags and swifter spray etc – this did NOT smell at all like Lavender! Highly Disappointed and Unsatisfied!.

Love this body scrub. It is most definitely worth the extra money and it goes a long way. The smell isn’t too aggressive but it leaves a clean sweet smell on your skin. Additionally it does not irritate my skin at all and otters scrubs definitely do.

Would definitely recommend adding a jar of this to your shower for a little extra self car!.

Love this! Smells great and leaves my skin soft and smooth! I recommend not applying it while directly under the water. I used a soft bristle bath brush to help massage the salts over my problem spots.

Specifically my knees and the backs on my thighs. I highly recommend if you are looking for assistance for this same problem areas.

First trial and I must say, this will be part of my skin care routine. I stumbled upon this on amazon and decided to give it a try and. I love the feel on my skin, especially on my dry skin. It feel so soft and not too scented.

Nice fragrance for a body scrub! It is a thicker scrub which I really like if you’re looking for a finer sugar scrub then this wouldn’t be a great choice. It does provide a good amount of moisture for your skin.

I do wish it came in a larger size which is why I gave it 4 stars. .

This is a really great body scrub for the price tag it has. I love the smell because it’s so soothing, especially if you use it before going to bed. Helps you relax. The only con I can say that it can leave some residue on your bathtub and make it slippery.

I bought this because I love the scent and always use a body exfoliator. I was very dissatisfied with this product. It didn’t exfoliate at all and left me feeling oily. I’m sorry I wasted the money on it.

I did repurpose the container though so I gave it three stars.
