20 Best Ergonomic Mouse For Wrist Pain (2023 Updated)

The wireless mouse I previously paired with my mother’s desktop became more challenging to operate and manage. Sometimes the pairing would be continuous; other times, that mouse would restart. In addition, the power button was not easy to press, and the quality of the user experience was declining rapidly.

To alleviate everyone’s frustrations, I got on the Best Buy website and came across the Microsoft-Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse and read the customer reviews. Immediately, I was encouraged to give this product a try.

After nearly one year after buying this product from Best Buy, there are no more frustrations. This purchase was money well spent.

Updated: So I gave this mouse another try, seems to work well. I don’t believe the mouse was causing the pain. So I changed the review back to 5 stars, would recommend this mouse as it’s very easy to use, comfortable and very easy to connect.

Build quality feel really nice, no unusual noise when using. The feel of the plastic is quite nice. The metal scroll wheel feel nice and premium. Ease of use is really easy on a Windows 10 machine with bluetooth.

Basically turn it on, Windows detects it and your off. The software works well, isn’t intrusive and is we’ll laid out. There is an option to change the DPI up to 2400. Comfort for me wasn’t what I was expecting.

I really liked the style and even some of the comfort features. For me personally, the thumb rest caused an unusual amount of pain under my thumb. If it wasn’t for that thumb rest, this would certainly be a 5 star other and I’d still be using it.

Ultimately, I had to return this as I was not comfortable when using this. I would still recommend as long as your grip isn’t like mine. I’m guessing I have a lazy claw grip and at times a fingertip grip.

I was very disappointed this didn’t work for me as it’s overall a wonderful mouse.

It’s a great mouse, but I’d say it’s not worth $50, so wait until it goes on sale. It lives up to its name, it’s very ergonomic, it’s convenient, and it’s responsive. I just got it, so I’m not sure about battery life or anything, but I’m sure it’s reasonable.

I actually went from a wired gaming mouse to this, so it doesn’t feel quite as good, like if you have large hands like I do, your pointer finger and middle finger are gonna go over the front a tiny bit, so you’ll kinda have to use a claw grip.

The only other thing that I liked better on my gaming mouse was the scroll wheel is a lot lower down inside this mouse, but again, it’s not a huge deal. I just wanted a small wireless mouse for work that won’t be a hassle, and this delivered, so I would recommend.

I bought this after reading other reviews. I recently had surgery for carpel tunnel and trigger finger. I decided to get this one after reading positive reviews. I work for the State so it being plug & use without downloading anything further was key.

waiting for IT all day is the worst. As most everyone else has said, it takes a little bit of time to get used to the able and using it. I really like it. It does save on excessive movement and my hand/wrist feel much more comfortable.

I love the scrolling function. I have not yet used the page forward/back buttons.

This is my first “vertical” or ergonomic mouse, so I didn’t know what to expect. But I was tired of unnaturally rotating my wrist/arm for the standard mouse shape. With this one, I feel like my arm is at a more natural position — near vertical, slightly tilted inward.

It installed easily (Windows 10) and I was using it within seconds of plugging it in. The DPI switch is superfluous, since Windows includes a user setting for mouse sensitivity, but this one seemed far more sensitive (“fast”) than any I’d used in the past.

I had to change the Windows setting to very slow in order to use this mouse. It also *looks* really cool. My only complaints: (1) The back/forward buttons are in the way. Almost every time I grab the mouse, my thumb clicks one of those buttons accidentally — I wish there was a way to disable them.

(2) Also, though I have wide/thick hands, my fingers aren’t incredibly lengthy so I have trouble getting a good grip on this mouse. I need one that’s just as tall but not quite as long from front to back.

I can’t use any form of wireless mice at work (DoD). I also am not allowed to load any drivers. Any peripherals I purchase have to be “plug and play” with Windows 7/10. We use either HP or Dell stock mice and keyboards w/ built in CaC readers.

I am comparing this mouse Adesso Vertical USB mouse to the medium Evoluent VM4 Vertical USB mouse. Adesso: Pros: All the features seem to work on this mouse without any additional drivers. Two buttons on the right and scroll wheel work just like stock mice.

I cannot program change the function of the third button which is too low and my ring finger already has nerve damage (right click) without installing drivers. Cons: So far only see one size and it’s a smaller size.

I have a large hands so I wish it came in a medium or was a little bigger. The bottom of my hand/palm is already sore from years of using government issue stock mice. The bottom of my hand rubs the desk while I use this mouse.

So for the price and compatibility with true “plug and play” abilities. it is a great deal. Also everyone thinks it looks cool the subtle accent blue light on the left side is the shape of horizontal arch.

Although I don’t suffer from RSI, the 3M ergonomic mouse can help prevent RSI with its comfortable ergonomic design. This mouse features a unique ‘joystick-like’ shape in which the user grips the mouse like a banana! However, unlike a joystick, which pivots at a point, this mouse uses the traditional optical input.

This design allows the user to hold the mouse in a more ‘natural’ ergonomic position – less strain on the forearm and wrist. The grip is shaped to follow the contours of a clenched fist, in which to reduce the strain on the joints of fingers.

The right and left mouse buttons, found on the top of the grip, are controlled by the thumb; the middle mouse button, found on the left of the grip, can be controlled by either the middle or ring finger.

All three mouse buttons require little effort to press as the fingers used are stronger than the index finger, which in turn reduces finger fatigue. There is however no scroll wheel so the scrolling is similar to a Thinkpad trackpoint – which can be annoying for reading large documents and viewing forums.

At first, it takes a little while to adjust to the layout of this mouse, but later on the user can feel the benefits and may never want to go back to a traditional mouse. This mouse is definitely not built for gaming in mind.

Apart from the absence of a scroll wheel, moving the mouse left and right with the wrist is easy and precise, except moving up and down with the forearm provides a bit of a challenge. Using this mouse in First Person Shooters, for example, is extremely difficult because aiming up and down with the forearm is tiring and inaccurate.

The same idea can be applied to drawing, although if a user wants to draw, they should be using a drawing tablet with stylus or digitizer pen anyway. Overall this mouse is great for heavy mouse users who are suffering from RSI or are willing to prevent it, but not for users who play games or require accurate mouse movements in applications.

Also this mouse is strictly for right handed users. The mouse comes in small/medium and large variants for different size hands, both wired and wireless. The mouse used for this review is of the small/medium wired variant.

I have been using the 3M Ergonomic mouse for at least 6 mouths now and after using a regular one I was getting pains from my hands upward in my arm. After looking online for something better, all but this one seemed to make you hand facing downward.

I thought that this was likely the problem. The 3M has taken the pain away and I hardly ever feel any pain in my arm which is great when your job is at the computer all day. One improvement I would like to see is being able to configure the buttons.

The lower hand button I would like to change from scrolling to the enter button. If you are experiencing pain in the hand, wrist and arm try this mouse.

I’ve been using a 3M Joystick Mouse for about 10 years now. I believe I avoided carpal tunnel with this mouse. I know I solved my wrist and arm pain. I won’t use any other mouse. I know nothing about software that goes with this mouse as I’ve never read the manual that’s available for it.

I just know I’m using the wired one at work on a pc with Windows 10 and it works as expected with no issues. Just plugged it in and it worked fine. I started with a wireless one and it came apart on me in about 3 years, but it still works.

That one is on my home computer. I keep taping it back together. That’s my 10 year mouse and it’s still working. No other mouse I’ve tried has lasted or felt as good as a 3M.

The pad included in the Plus version really does make a difference, so I’m glad I got it. I had used the G900 Chaos Spectrum mice for a couple years for office and schoolwork. I prefer this mouse at the moment.

Also, I have large hands, which this mouse fits very well. The buttons are placed intuitively and are easy to click. The scroll wheel is clearly premium and well-balanced between noise, ease of use, and just enough grip to support horizontal scrolling and middle-button scrolling.

The Logitech Options software seems to be put together well, but it’ll be used minimally for me. I can’t install it on the work computer, and my home PC doesn’t use most of the applicable software. Innovative, nonetheless.

At least for large hands, the ergonomics are great. I don’t necessarily have pain, but my right forearm felt immediate relief from using this mouse. There’s a ton of value in this mouse and it’s worth the price, but the trackball could use some improvement.

It’s fairly light and stops a little too easily and somewhat unpredictably. To that end, I might buy a second one to try to mod it with a different ball and bearings to see if I can improve it.

First time trackball user and immediate convert. Awesome for 27” 4k resolutions. Even good sr 32” at highest sensitivity. Love The Option’s Flow feature set and programmable buttons. Functionality because of the ergo lets me rethink the input device as a ball joystick instead of a mouse.

So I actually find remapping all the buttons differently for each program very useful. Found myself using these shortcuts exclusively. However the MX Ergo did not work out for me. Few flaws have me returning it.

1. I received a micro usb unit. Not usb c as in description. Upgraded all peripherals to usb c to get rid of cables. Do not want to step back to micro usb in 2023. 2. Unit goes to sleep really quickly when idle.

Do not know how or if you can change this. Probably battery saving feature but it takes a scroll click or two, or moving the ball almost 1/5 turn before movement starts registering. Once “connected” again, there is no lag but it goes to sleep before I can read more than three or four lines of text and when I go to make a single scroll I find myself playing with it to wake and then fix over scrolling.

Very annoying. But if constantly using the mouse and keeping it awake like browsing the web, the experience is great. Can only recommend depending on usage style and tolerance for this idle / wake lag.

I would normally watch and read some reviews from hardware sites prior to spending more than $20 on an accessory. Instead I ordered this and then read/watched the reviews afterwards. I was instantly concerned that I would regret the purchase.

Many complained that their accuracy suffered when clicking, because the mouse would move mid click as ones finger press would be enough pressure to cause left-ward movement. I got the package in less than 24 hours and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I didn’t have this issue.

It will probably vary with the user depending upon how hard you’re clicking/thrusting with your finger. There was also some concern expressed in many reviews about acclimating to the laser sensor’s location under the mouse, but I found it feel pretty natural.

The ergonomics are as good as advertised and I was pleased that it comfortably fits in my palm. My pinky doesn’t hang off the edge or drag on the desk, although, I could see someone with much larger hands having an issue.

It’s also surprisingly light. I’m glad I paid for the MX version rather than the cheaper Lift, as the slightly larger surface space and the built in battery feels orate it. In addition to this, switching between computers is a breeze.

There’s a button on the underside that you can press to switch between three devices, meaning I can quickly move from my personal MacBook to my work computer on the fly. I’ve detracted a star because, in true Logitech fashion, the Mac support isn’t fully baked.

There is a firmware updated on the Logitech site, but the MX Vertical isn’t supported. It’s entirely possible there isn’t currently a firmware update, and that support will be added once an update happens, but I have my doubts.

There is Mac support for he Logitech Options software, which is what you’ll need to download in order to take advantage of the customizable buttons. For those of you used to using gestures on your Mac’s track pad, you’ll want to use this software.

Unfortunately, it’s a little unwieldy to set up. There Logi Options, and then there’s Logi Options+. The onscreen instructions for setting them up aren’t exactly accurate to Mac interface, and you have to set up Options+ in order for the Options software to recognize the mouse.

That last part wasn’t explained, and I stumbled into it.

I have used the mouse for 3 weeks. It is nice to use and definitely releases of a lot of the strain in the wrist I feel from prolong use of a normal mouse, which is why I bought this mouse. Clicking the main left and right mouse buttons does need a bit of getting used to and has the tenancies of accidentally moving the mouse as you need to press the buttons side ward rather than downward.

The buttons on the thumb side are a bit difficult to use. I have to use a bit of the palm to provide the support for pressing the buttons. I used it mainly for work but I tried using it for gaming as well.

It is workable but having to frequently hold “down” the left or right mouse button seemed to cause a bit of strain on the grip, which is to be expected I suppose, since you need to grip the mouse to press the buttons.

It does inherit the issues associated with vertical mouse, having buttons pressed inward to the left or right of the mouse. Would be great if they can find a way to have the buttons pressing downward instead by some mechanical transaction of the action.

Especially the buttons on the thumb side – there are spaces to have the button closer to the bottom of the mouse which would allow the buttons to be press downwards instead of side wards. For the price, I am pretty sure they can afford to invest in some creative ways to improve the buttons.

The ability to connect up to 3 devices via Unified Receiver or Bluetooth is very useful if you want to use it on different devices like me. Lastly, I find that the wheel is of sufficient quality.

Stop what you’re doing and reach your hand out, like you’re going to shake someone’s hand. Now turn your hand palm down, as though you’re going to hold a normal mouse. Notice how that’s harder? Crazy right?! How did I never notice this before! I wish I had purchased this mouse a long time ago! It looks weird, like it would be awkward to use, but it has completely solved my hand and wrist pain that I was experiencing with other mice (mouses?).

I would like to address a few things: – I’m going to be controversial and say I think this mouse is actually OK for small hands. I’m a woman with average size hands, and the first few days I used the mouse, I felt the mouse was too big.

Then I actually discovered you can reach all the keys by just adjusting your grip to be higher on the mouse, where it is narrower, and rotating it to the left. I think your grip adjustment is something that happens intuitively over time – but you have to get over the “it’s too big” feeling.

Chances are, if it feels big you may be resting your hand on it incorrectly. (My 11 year old with tiny hands seems to have no problem with it once I showed her how to adjust her grip). – I love that you can adjust the sensitivity, and that it takes just small movements to make large movements across the screen.

I use 2 computer monitors, and it takes just a tiny wrist movement to move the cursor from one screen to another. This makes me so happy. – I have no issues with the scroll button, but I did adjust it to the fastest scroll ability possible.

– the ONLY thing I do not like about this mouse is that I lost the ability to scroll left to right in excel, but I just customized the thumb buttons for that (I wish they were bigger). – I have thwacked the mouse off my desk a few times because I forget it’s so tall.

In summary, for me, the benefits of using this mouse FAR outweigh the negatives. Most of the negatives have been a matter of just getting used to something different in the beginning. It’s just second nature now.

I’ve used the Perfit Mouse off and on for RSI injuries in my wrist. Overall, once I got used to it, I love the fit and feel. Takes a while to learn to drive the mouse with your arm and not grip it. This latest edition is easy to adjust, however, I don’t like the scrolling action much.

The placement is awkward. and strains my thumb a little bit. Guess I was spoiled by the wonderful intuitive scrolling of the Apple Magic Mouse. Still, I am glad I have this when my wrist acts up!.

I really like the fit and layout of the controls. I’ve been using one or another Perfit mouse for about 14 years. Unfortunately, the switches could be more robust. One lasted only about two years, I tried replacing the switch but don’t have the skills for micro-soldering.

The next mouse got a balky switch just from dropping it on a carpeted floor. Another caveat is that sometimes the software needs updating or reinstalling, and Contour Design doesn’t update it very often.

I’m now on my 4th one. It’s an XL, I usually get an L, but it fits fine. In sum, excellent design, but could use better company support and more durable switches. Thanks.

This wired version of the contour mouse is discontinued now. My hand is very relaxed using it. Its like just laying my hand on my desk. The middle click, thumb scroll, and thumb buttons are just lovely.

Sometimes I wonder if the medium size I got is the right fit but I figure this mouse is ergonomic enough that the minor size differences are negligible. Ill probable snag another in a different size if I come across another cheap listing.

This is a best-in-class ergonomic mouse. It genuinely did eliminate my wrist pains and elbow pains from years at a desk job. Ergonomically, this mouse ticks all the boxes. PROS 1 – It perfectly positions your wrist vertically unlike some ergo mice which position your wrist at 50-60 degrees.

2 – Its well researched design is shaped in such a way that all fingers, palm and thumb perfectly cup the mouse naturally. 3 – It has a small wing at the base for your pinky finger to rest on. So no finger rubs on the mousepad.

4 – It has 3 primary buttons plus scroller and plenty of additional functionality if required. 5 – This model is wireless!! CONS 1 – The chrome plastic finish is a completely unexpected drawback for me.

I never knew this would be a problem until I used it in warmer weather. Because the mouse cups your hand SO perfectly and the surface is smoother than Elon Musk’s latest rocket knob, there is absolutely no airflow under your hand.

As a result, the mouse surface/and your hand warm up quickly. Prolonged use in warmer weather (4-5 hours) results in sweat constantly building up everywhere on the mouse, repeatedly needing wiped off.

Even moderate temperatures make the mouse sticky and wet. I also own the Logitech MX Vertical Ergonomic mouse and whilst its not as perfectly ergonomic as this mouse, it’s a VERY CLOSE second in terms of ergo comfort, but considerably better in terms of surface material used and thermal control.

2 – I got the large version of this mouse because going by the measurement system on their website a large would be best for my hand size. That said, I’m a finger mouse user — meaning I prefer high mouse sensitivity so I can achieve most of my mouse movements on screen with minute finger movements appose to large wrist movements.

But because this mouse is so big and cups my hand perfectly I have absolutely NO minute finger control, only wrist control. For me this results in less accurate and slower mouse movements, which noticeably slows down my work efficiency.

I’d recommend the Logitech MX vertical Ergo mouse or a smaller version of this mouse if this is likely to be an issue for you. 3 – It’s the most expensive mouse on PBTech!!! So Choose wisely. I bought this mouse on blind faith hoping it would be good, AND IT IS.

But I never would have ever guessed these drawbacks mentioned above without trying it first, so I hope this info helps someone make an informed decision before sinking money on this mouse.

The new D series VerticalMouse comes in three sizes (S, M, L), and the M fits my hand well. Evoluent wins out over other vertical mice I’ve tried, at least in my book. The only snag is the Evoluent software got hung up on my Mac Pro running OS 14.

6. After deleting the scattered bits of the app, I’m simply using the standard button functions that the Mac OS allows rather than being able to assign different functions to the many different buttons and such.

(Another option is USB Overdrive, but I haven’t tried it yet on this particular mouse. ) Even with the software snag, the Evoluent VerticalMouse D rocks. And yes, it really does help keep your wrist healthy by keeping it in a far more natural orientation.

Highly recommended.

This vertical mouse is more vertical than most other products out there, such as the Logitech Vertical MX. I like a larger size than my hand measurements would indicate, because I like to relax my hand and have it well supported.

It does take a few days to get used to using it, but it’s worth it. The multiple buttons are great. I’ve got one to close a window (which in Chrome has an app-specific setting to close a tab instead).

You can set up the number 6 button (at the bottom of the thumb) to be like a shift key for the other buttons, supporting a second set of functions. (Amazon just called me a potty mouth. Sorry. ) I know the mouse seems a bit to shiny and slippery at first blush, but it actually isn’t a problem for me, keeping it in my hand.

I’m happy this version doesn’t have the spray on rubberized finish, because a search of eBay for used ones shows that that finish will deteriorate and peel off, and because I have touch allergies to similar kinds of rubber coatings.

I like the little dips for the fingertips on this model very much. Helps to feel oriented on the mouse, especially for beginners. I have occasional trouble with tracking, but it doesn’t last, and I suspect that’s only when my computer is a bit overloaded doing other tasks.

I use computers both at work and at home so deal with a certain amount of wrist discomfort regularly; switching to this mouse has helped a lot! It fits comfortably in my hand even though I have small hands (I don’t have to strain to reach any buttons), and with a lot of room to spare, so those with larger hands will have space to stretch out.

It also lasts quite a while as well; usually I find that mice that aren’t designed as “gaming” mice wear out rather quickly, but this holds up quite well to some decent wear and tear. My only complaint is that it feels like it goes through batteries really fast.

but that could just mean I use it too much!.

After working from home for the last year, my old plug-in (USB) type mouse I’d used for years, was just not cutting it. It was awkward in a small space environment and the USB on my laptop did not care for the old technology and kept disconnecting the mouse throughout the day.

Rather than put up with that and my extremely sore wrist and shoulder from a bad angle situation, I opted for a wireless mouse. I don’t care for the ball type mouse where your fingers do all the work.

I love the style of the grip and roller ball type of ergonomic mouse. This mouse is awesome! I rarely have to move it more than a 1/4 of an inch to get it where it needs to go. The click motion is smooth and easy to operate and the roller is very responsive.

Wish I’d bought this months ago!.

I bought it due to increasing pain in my hand/thumb and needed an ergonomic mouse due to hours of computer work (probably carpel tunnel). The shape is great, it alleviated the stress and pain I felt at end of day.

The downside and unfortunate part of it is that quite often the cursor disappears and I have to take the thumb drive out of the port and then reinsert it to get the cursor to reappear on the screen. Had I not thrown away all the packaging I would have returned it for a refund considering it was over $65 for a mouse.

I don’t know what causes this, but it’s so annoying and what a time waster. The 2nd issue is that it eats AA batteries like crazy if you don’t turn it off when not using it. Just my two cents. Others seem to find it very appealing.

Me – not so much.

Regular mouse for comparison – Logitech MX Master. This is the first “lift” mouse I have tried – and it definitely has a different feel than a standard mouse. The angle of the lift mouse shifts “resting weight” from the heel of my hand to the side of my hand.

This may prove a real benefit from those that have developed stress-related discomfort from prolonged use of a standard mouse. The mouse seems a little bit small for my pretty normal sized male hands, and with more use I might settle in with the differences and experience a “new normal” from using the lift design.

Weight of the mouse is very light, and using a lighter mouse for a long period of time would certainly reduce hand and wrist fatigue. The pairing with Bluetooth or the dongle works well, and depending on your preference either type of connection should provide reliable use.

All in all – an “ergonomic” mouse such as the lift really boils down to who is using the mouse, hand size, and how you hold the mouse and distribute the weight of your hand. After using this mouse for a few hours I became more accustomed to the feel, and would not have a problem using this as my main mouse if needed.

My personal preference is the heavier MX mouse – and I think that is probably because that is what I am used to, and have no issues with the MX that are solved by using the lift. BestBuy is good about having mouse selections on display so you can literally “put your hands on one” – so I would recommend that you test drive the lift mouse display model to see if it fits you.

There are two models – one for “small-medium” and one for “medium-large” hands – so that is also something to consider when making your decision. No question that Logitech is an industry leader in mouse design and innovation.

I cannot recall ever having an issue with a Logitech – so the main consideration is to find the model that best suits your individual needs. If you have a repetitive stress issue, or have discomfort from using a “standard” moust for extended periods, then the lift mouse may be a good solution for you.

Over the last 2 years or so working heavily on the computer with a standard mouse I began to develop severe wrist and forearm pains from repetitive stress. After some physical therapy and the use of braces I switched up to a vertical mouse.

I was using a cheap vertical mouse I found on Amazon for a roughly 8 months but it began to start creaking and the scroll wheel started squealing. I tried the Logitech MX Vertical but it did not fit my hand that well compared to a $20 mouse.

A few months down the line Logitech made the lift and I was fed up with my cheapo mouse so I took the opportunity to give this new ergo mouse a go. The angle is similar to my cheap mouse but the grip is better.

After dealing with creaky buttons and scroll wheels the quite touch buttons and smooth wheel are a huge welcome relief! I particularly like how the palm portion is a grippy soft touch where but the high wear area of the fingertips are a semi textured harder plastic.

This will no doubt smooth down in shiny spots but it is better than when the soft touch breaks down and gets too tacky. There are multiple connections and the ability to use Logitech Flow which and the 3 connections allows me to use several devices, work desktop/surface tablet (via Flow), personal laptop and Samsung Dex.

I was able to switch me cheap mouse as it has Bluetooth and 2. 4ghz connections but it only allowed me 2 connections. The Lift allowed me to eliminate a mouse from my desktop setup. The Lift is smaller and lighter than the MX Vertical and my old cheap mouse and I use 2 different grips with it.

I can either palm the entire mouse and my fingertips over hang the buttons, which I can still click the left and right buttons. Or I can shift my thumb from the thumb rest ledge to the edge of the mouse to lift and readjust without breaking my grip.

(don’t know how ergonomic that is but it is working for me and not uncomfortable at the moment). As of now I see this as a perfectly suitable replacement for my cheap Amazon mouse and would recommend it to anyone who deals with repetitive wrist/arm pain from longhours on the computer.

At first glance, it’s an unusual design, but it’s actually been very comfortable. It took a couple of hours to get used to the ‘non-traditional’ hand positioning, but I don’t know that I’ll ever go back now.

It feels much more natural than a traditional mouse. Pairing, via bluetooth anyway, was effortless. I didn’t bother trying the Logi Bolt USB receiver since the bluetooth pairing was so easy. It has a feature that allows you to pair it with up to three devices.

There’s a little button, on the underside of the mouse, that you press to cycle between the devices. Personally, I find the location of the button mildly inconvenient. Perhaps that’s because I’m coming from a Logitech MX Ergo, which has the button for that function conveniently on the top of the mouse, and easily facilitates single-handedly switching between devices.

Another miss with this feature is that it cycles through all three devices, even if you’re only using two. So, to switch from device A to device B only requires a single button press, but switching from B back to A requires two button presses as you have to cycle through what would be device C.

Still not a deal breaker though. Installing the Options+ software (which is technically in Beta release, but you don’t need an invite) gives you the ability to change what the buttons do. You can change them globally, meaning no matter what app you’re in, you can set the front thumb button to ‘Copy’ (or several other functions), the rear thumb button to ‘Paste’, and the middle button to ‘Screen Snip’.

You can also create app-specific settings, such as when working in Excel, have the rear thumb button ‘Paste Values’, or ‘Next Sheet’, etc… Pretty cool actually, as I use Screen Snip & Paste Values frequently.

It also uses a single ‘AA’ battery, as opposed to an internal rechargeable battery like my MX Ergo. Personally, I prefer the regular ‘AA’ battery, as I can almost always find another one lying around the house in the event the battery dies.

With my MX Ergo, I have to plug it in to get it charged back up. Overall, I’m impressed & would definitely recommend the Logitech Lift to others.

On my 2nd one; 1st lasted over 8 years. (Also have a right-handed one. ) Got my first one around the same time as getting a Kinesis Freestyle keyboard, and this mouse took longer to acclimate to. It’s not just that it’s vertical mouse, it’s a different shape.

Usable initially, but comfortable in a few days. so much so, that I had to get one for my work computer. Not convinced that it would be helpful? Hold out your mouse arm, straight away from your body, and rotate it till your hand is in position to use a normal mouse.

Now rotate that same arm so the thumb is in the highest position of any digit. Which position is more comfortable? Extra buttons: Top button is for left clicks, middle for right clicks, bottom button is for double left clicks.

Thumb controls forward & reverse web page navigation. And the scroll wheel displays the desktop. Thought these extra buttons were gimmicks, but now I cannot live without them.

This is one of the best vertical mouses and I have experience with vertical mouses for about 10 years. Product is very light. A bit more mass would be better. Its easy to flick it off the table by accident.

Plastic is very flat leaving no groowes where palm heat could dissipate. My hand is warm because of that and this degrades the experience. Arm position is nice vertical. Buttons are well positioned but fifth finger tends to land on the table.

Buttons are too soft and wheel doesnt feel much premium. More like it will fall apart any moment. There are similar and less pricey options offering good ergonomics and value for the money, such as older m618 models.

Price is ok for someone from the US. The rest of us have to pay very expensive shipping and handling.

I have been using one of these for almost 10 years since having carpal tunnel surgery on my right wrist. It makes all the difference as far as eliminating discomfort. The original one began to wear out after nearly a decade of regular use, so I ordered the newer model.

Exact same size and layout as the previous one with a few extra bells and whistles, and is a solid build. It is highly customizable using the Evoluent Mouse Manager application. I have tried the joy stick style of ergo mouse in the past but this is by far my favorite.

It is a bit more expensive than a standard mouse however, but worth the extra money. I highly recommend it.

No other mouse beats the design in ergonomics. This mouse solved my issues with constant pain while clicking all day. However, in terms of reliability, this mouse is the worst. Mouse is very jumpy and stubborn on any surface, the buttons like to stick, which result in lots of strange dragging and other issues on desktop while working.

Short battery life. This will be my third mouse of its type, since these like to break and completely stop working so darn much. I wish I could find a mouse like this that is actually made well. So far, this is all I could find that I can ergonomically work with on a daily basis.

Have tendonitis on both of my wrists and this is the best mouse Ihave ever used. The con however is that not all companys have this as an option. And they don’t last more than 3 years.

This is my second one of these and it has helped with wrist and hand problems. Even if you have small hands, which I do, get the large one.

Great value for the money; it fits perfectly into the hand and the buttons are well placed. I also like the fact that’s illuminated. Get it if you want to make working on the computer more comfortable and enjoyable.

Very good cheap alternative to Logitech MX vertical wireless mouse. Overall good quality.

This mouse takes a little bit to get used to, but quickly starts feeling normal and comfy. The size is good, geared toward bigger hands, and the charge is quick and lasts forever. Ergonomically it does do a good job of reducing the amount of twist in the wrist.

My ring and pinkie finger feel left out with this design though, they’re either forced to be kept a bit too straight, or droop and stick on the desk. A more rounded shape at the front would work better.

The build quality seems good, but that’s a necessity at this price point which I feel is quite high. One issue that does irk me is that the cursor and scroll wheel both need ‘initialisation’; if you move either of them for the first time in a while they won’t accept input temporarily (a feature to save battery presumably), so it’s quite difficult to be accurate at the pixel level.

Another issue that you may experience is ‘ghost clicking/dragging’, caused by the pressure of a mouse click moving the mouse a bit, due to the verticality. This happens less over time, but it can be frustrating having to focus more on clicking without moving the mouse.

Overall, there’s a lot of nice things about this mouse especially when it comes to reducing strain. The price and occasional issues do ding it, but it’s still a solid choice in a niche category.

I actually was going to return this but didn’t know the return window was 14 days. Honestly it is fine but my hands were too short to be able to reach the forward button on the mouse. I was going to try the smaller variant of this mouse due to that.

Aside from that, I was skeptical about how much taller this mouse is to other vertical mouses but actually that is what is good about it imo. Other mouses are too short which makes my hand rub on the mousepad.

This mouse also doesn’t have too much of a curve at the end of the mouse unlike most other vertical mouse which also contribute to strain when I click. Also I noticed that this mouse glides really easily which makes it really painless to move around.

There also is no horizontal scroll wheel or tiling the middle mouse button which kind of is unfortunate seeing how the other mouses they offer at this price all have this option. I think the biggest saving grace is the fact that this mouse is able to utilize gestures with the logitech options software which allows the small amount of buttons to have a lot more utility.

But yeah that forward button being too far up makes that part kind of a pain to utilize.

The Logitech MX vertical is a well designed and revitalized mouse. The ergonomic “handshake position” does take the pressure off my wrists and that along with the ridged texture feels comfortable making the mouse work like a controller in my hand.

The buttons are easy to reach and responsive on the first try. The functions can be adjusted to your preferences with Logitech Options. The dpi sensor is precise and works better than the standard mouse so I am not working so hard to point and select.

I found this was most comfortable to use on my larger desk because I had more room to get more of my wrist and arm on the desk top than just the bottom side of my palm on my smaller desk. Besides the comfort and precision this has interesting and convenient features like being able to use this between two computers at the same time and similarly being able to drag and drop files.

All and all I think this is a really good product. It’s well made, durable, has lots of good features and great battery life with fast recharging. I think it looks like a twisting tear drop and looks cool in a modern way.

The graphite color is nice and it blends in well with my computers. I definitely don’t want to hide it in the drawer. This is a plus for people working long hours on computer tasks as well as those with pain issues or those looking to avoid them.

I got this mouse mostly for my wife because she spends a lot of time on the computer and has regular shoulder/back issues related to her work-station. Unfortunately, for this review, she found the biggest help for her issues to actually be switching her mouse to her left hand and this mouse does not switch hands.

So I gave the mouse a go and I must say I enjoy using it. It is silky smooth sliding across my desk and easy enough to get the hang of, but there IS a learning curve with the different posture. I like the feel of the grip and the fact that it uses USB-C for charging.

I also like being able to easily and quickly adjust the dpi when switching between my laptop screen and my 4k monitor. It has some really cool features that I don’t need, but where it loses the star is in the scroll wheel not having the logitech infinity scroll feature and the lack of just a couple programmable buttons.

Also, if you DO try out this mouse, be sure and use a wrist pad. It makes a HUGE difference in how comfortable it is to use. I didn’t notice it at first, but after 20 minutes or so I noticed that when I use this mouse I rest my wrist on my desk on one spot on the right side of my palm.

After awhile it gets a bit painful, but the wrist pad completely nullifies that issue better aligns my arm to the mouse.

Easy on the waist for prolong use, speed of using mouse slightly reduced, might just be that it’s a different design as compared to the traditional shaped mice that I have used in the past. Delivery from Dell was fast, set up was fast, just plug in receiver into my laptop and it worked.

Mouse came charged and ready to use out of box. USB cable to charge. I downloaded the Logiopts app that shows the battery icon which indicates the level of charge on the mouse, otherwise you just have to wait on the red light to appear on mouse to let you know when to charge mouse.

I have been using mouse every day for a few weeks now and I have not had to charge mouse. There is a power switch which I have also left on.

We keyboard warriors and office drones often find many things to complain about, like lag, screens to small, not enough ram but I’ve nothing to complain about when it comes to this mouse other than 35 years of adjustment to the new style.

I never noticed how much my wrist actually hurt after the 10-12 hours a day I put into using a mouse and then age caught up with me. And while I may never be able to play counterstrike with this mouse, because I’m old and don’t want to change that part of me, the majority of my work day is using this new mouse.

My arm pain and soreness has been reduced by at least 90%(does nothing for my eyes or my hunched back). It does require a bit of learning curve and yes, I do unintentionally whack it from time to time because of it’s height but I would recommend this to any desktop worker and feel like this type of model should be put in all schools.

I’ve had a much more expensive ergonomic mouse before. The form of this one is practically identical and it is comfortable to use. One gripe, though, is the main mouse button makes a spring noise if you remove your finger too fast.

As I make a lot of YouTube videos, this is a pain. I would have preferred to spend a little more for a more silent mouse.

It takes some adjustment to be really comfortable playing games and using this vertical mouse. But the lack of nerve pain in my wrist has MORE THAN made up for this. I’ll never go back to a traditional type.

This thing has been awesome. I bought it back in May (7 months ago) and it worked great. Feels great and I love the shape and everything was fine until just yesterday the thing stopped detecting movement accurately.

Now when I move the mouse around, it doesn’t always register how fast I’m moving the mouse, so it makes the mouse feel like it’s dying. I do use the thing a lot because I work from home and also play games, but I’ve had other mouses that have lasted way longer.

Gonna look elsewhere for my next mouse.

This is the 3rd ergonomic mouse I have tried and this is the one I will keep! It’s so comfortable I didn’t even need time to adjust. It’s much more sensitive then my old mouse which makes it easier to use, but doesn’t feel weird like the vertical mouse I tried.

I have smaller hands and suffer from arthritis in my wrist and shoulder. I have felt no discomfort whatever from this mouse and use it to work 8-9 hours per day.

I got this for work as I was having wrist/forearm pain from using a mouse all day. The shape is comfortable and I have had little to no pain once I got used to it. I just have one issue- after less than 1 year of use, the scroll wheel stopped working properly.

With normal pressure or trying to scroll slowly, the wheel seems to not catch properly and nothing happens. Increasing the pressure or going faster helps, but then it is very difficult to scroll only one or two lines, which I do frequently.

The mouse is still usable and I will probably continue to use it rather than buying a new one, but the scroll issue is frustrating at times. It’s disappointing that the mouse has started to wear out so quickly.

Did not like the default wheel (scrolling) setting, but the driver built into Windows 10 took care of that. The default was 3 lines per click of the wheel, but thought it was perfect for me when set to one line per click.

The driver recognized the model of the mouse, and even showed it in it’s actual color. The BlueTooth wireless connection has been rock solid, and cursor movements have always been smooth. Really like the thumb rest on this mouse.

Great if you are right handed. My hand never gets tired using it. Unlike some, the mouse has an ON/OFF switch to spare battery life when not in use. Also has the ability to switch between three different BlueTooth pairings, so that it can be used with different devices at different times without losing the pairing settings.
