20 Best Epson Printer For Heat Transfers (2023 Updated)

This is my all-time favorite printer. It does it all and everything exceptionally well. I use it to scan/fax my mail-order prescriptions, make teacher handouts/socials for church, and greeting/sympathy cards for family and friends.

The color prints are fantastic. What is nice, too, is the screen/print size is 11″x17″. That takes capabilities to a whole new level. A true work-horse in my book. An excellent machine for home and office.

This machine can use good-quality remanufactured ink as well.

At long last, success! I’ve been trying to print labels on label paper for a couple of hours, using a. png file I downloaded from the Internet. I’m using a MacPro and printing on full-sheet size labels.

Although the ads for this printer on YouTube brag that it prints labels, there is no “Labels” setting in the printer’s settings. There are also no instructions for labels in the manual, which is digital.

There is no printed manual. Here’s what worked for me: On my computer, click “Print. ” Choose Epson printer. On the next screen, click “Preview. ” Click “Printer features. ” Change “Paper Source” to “Rear Feed Paper Slot.

” Remember to load the paper in the Rear Feed Slot print side UP. (I taped a reminder note on my printer. ) Change “Media Type” to “Cardstock. ” Way down at the bottom of the list it asks for Paper Type again! Choose “Card Stock” again.

(Like I said before, there is no “Labels” option. ) Click “Print” again. Voila! I also printed a. jpg file on label paper this way. I had to redo all those settings in “Printer Features” for each sheet of labels.

Luckily, I’m only using the printer for crafts for personal use. If you are thinking of purchasing this printer for a business, think again. It has what may be the worst documentation ever. Also, I had originally planned to place the printer in a different room from my computer desk, but it’s so fussy I have to keep it nearby.

It does make beautiful prints, though, and they are water resistant, which is my top priority.

Things to know about Sublimation: (Experience: 6 months hobby) (Only rated one star because doubtful you’d have read this at a five-star rating. ) If you’re going to print, at least print something on it two to three times a week; at least keep something on it.

Don’t let it sit for two weeks without using it if you’re doing sublimation. The ink will last a very long time, like six months to a year, if you don’t let it just sit there. If you’re doing this as a hobby and not a business, the ink should last as long as you keep printing two or three times a week.

This is much too soon to rate or review a significant product but my initial response is to compare it with my XP720 that I thought was brilliant and was very sorry to see it go because it had a fault that appeared to be fatal and the service people thought that it might take a fortnight to get spare parts etc.

It is clear that the eco tank approach is good and this version has picked up on the home built versions offered widely. It is also much tidier than the addon approach and of course the retail price has been inflated to offset the high prices charged for the cartridges.

I have always used other cartridges without any problemThe most negative aspect is the loss of the driven output tray which was an improvement on my earlier XP605. I see there is a rack on one of the trays but I guess this is the next step of development.

I would have waited for the next update model but cannot do without a printer and decided to find the best value version which turned out to be a model that must have been returned as the original box had some modest damage but the printer was perfect although possibly not a UK version as it was supplied with a 2pin plug.

As I suspected the lead from either of my previous printers with 13 amp plugs was interchangeable. I am hoping that this photo model will be as excellent as the previous one but it is simply too soon to tell.

Ask again in a month if you really want an answer.

Just received this EcoTank printer today. It was easy to set up and start printing. I like the sleek, smaller design. It doesn’t take much space in the office. Only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that the paper has to sit in a rear tray which I didn’t realise.

It doesn’t have it’s own paper storage lying flat inside, it sits upright at the back of the printer. Also the LED screen is very small, not easy to read the tiny print. Apart from that the printer seems like just what I needed, even though I have not used it much yet.

Looking forward to see how cost effective it will be.

I’ve been using ET-2750 for 3 weeks now. The unit is compact which is good as it gives us extra space on our study table. The set up was fairly easy once I followed the youtube tutorial. The installation was pretty straightforward.

The wireless capability is reliable and so convenient. The print quality is good, the colour print is bright and accurate. No colour mixing or faded colours so far. The scanner is a bit slow but the resolution is very good.

I have been using this daily for my daughter’s homeschooling, crafts, colouring pages and personal documents. Top reasons I bought this printer: double sided printing and low ink cost. At the rate that it’s going, it looks like the ink will make it to 2 years.

It has all the basic functions that our household needs. All in all, I am very happy with it. Hope it lasts long.

I’ve owned Canon and HP printers in the past. This was my first Epson. Well, technically my second since Epson has already sent me a replacement after many hours and $$ spent on ink after countless print head cleanings.

Regardless, it will be my last Epson printer. The issues I experienced were mostly with random colors not printing. I used genuine Epson brand ink, yet this was a consistent issue. The printer would leave horizontal streaks before the color stopped functioning.

An example would be an orange printing as yellow because magenta stopped functioning. As mentioned, I was instructed to perform many print head cleanings to the point where the cartridges drained and I was out of ink.

I’ve easily spent over $100 in print head cleanings. Epson refused to replace that ink. My issues got all the way up to their corporate office. They wouldn’t budge, however they finally offered to replace the unit.

At this point, I had the printer for around 8 months or so. I had the issue again with the new printer and a single head cleaning fixed it. It happened again a few days ago, so today I had an opportunity to call them.

I was instructed to perform 2 head cleanings which resolved the issue. After checking with Tier 2 support, the representative suggested that the print nozzle keeps getting clogged and can be due to changes in weather or being in a dirty environment.

My printer sits on a clean desk in an otherwise unused room. I also have central HVAC. we experience minor humidity changes inside the house throughout the year. The tech instructed me to call back in and recall my reference number from today if the issue happens again.

I noticed that tomorrow marks 1 year from when I purchased the WF-7720. It’s rare that I have a product experience so poor that I’ll write a review about it. Aside from a very poor product experience, the service was horrible as well.

Customer service was very difficult to work with, all the way up to their corporate office. Even the process to return the old printer was horrendous. I was at the FedEx store for an hour trying to get Epson to send over the return label since the first one they sent me had an expiration of a few days (which they didn’t note in their email).

By the end of the week when I could make it to FedEx to ship it back, it expired. This printer has cost me a lot of money in ink costs and if the trend continues, it will continue to do so. There are some cool features like scanning to email/cloud, but it’s not worth the headache.

especially if you’re looking at this for a business printer.

It has just been over 2 years since I purchased this piece of junk. The wireless printing has never worked well but at least it printed but 2 months ago it just stopped working. I was not concerned thinking it was something simple but after speaking with Epson and trying to get the system fixed I was told that the harddrive had failed.

I would assume this would be covered as the hard drive should not fail within 2 years but I was shocked to be told that I could get a 15% discount to purchase another poorly constructed product. What a waste of my good money.

I should have already known not to purchase from Epson based on my past experience. This is the last product I will purchase from them.

This review is prompted by my recent purchase of the WF-7720 printer. This WF-7720 is, however, my second purchase of a WF-7720. I purchased my first just over two years ago for home use. My most recent purchase is for what is seemingly the new long-term, COVID-19, remote work paradigm.

I have been delighted with how smoothly this device integrated into my workflow and how reliably this printer functions. Scanning, my most common application, is smooth and the scans are crisp. There are occasional misfeeds in the automatic document feeder when using lightweight notebook paper.

I’ve been digitizing handwritten class notes from the ‘80s and find I can only feed three or four pages at a time and then have to assemble the pages later in Acrobat. Other, heavier papers feed and flip quite well.

Print quality is outstanding and in my experience with ink consumption is favorable. environment.

Purchased this about three months ago. It’s fantastic. We bought an ET-4750 a few years back for $399 at Best Buy. That printer ran for more than a year before we needed to fill the tanks. It’s still going strong.

(I subtracted one star from “Value” because I paid $100 more for the ET-4760 compared to the ET-4750. ) I needed a printer for work to replace a failing HP LaserJet. This was my go-to product. Though it’s now $100 more than the black ET-4750 (color is the only difference.

specs are the same for both), it’s still a bargain. Replacing toner in my old LaserJet cost over $550!! Sure, this Epson prints fewer pages per minute. but I’m happy to wait given the Eco Tank system eliminates so much waste in at least three/four ways.

(1) Ink and toner cartridges for other brands are totally overpriced (2) and, even with recycling, are horrible for the environment. (3) This printer uses A LOT less power than any LaserJet. (4) Trips to the store or ordering cartridges are not really necessary.

buy an extra pack of Epson refills when you purchase this printer and you will be set for at least 1-2 years. There are two teachers and two high school students in our house, plus a decent amount of photo prints are produced.

Despite the home office, school assignments, and photography, we get good mileage on a full tank. Beats every HP InkJet I’ve owned (at least half a dozen) over the years. Go with Eco-Tank and you’ll be glad you did!!!.

I recently had to prepare for a custody hearing in which I was representing myself. My preparation required that I print out hundreds of pages of exhibits (as I had to bring five sets to court with me).

Though my Epson WF4720 had served me well for work and personal use for 4+ years, it started so show its age and I didn’t want my case to be blown due to not being able to print the docs I needed, so I went shopping.

Ecotank printers weren’t really on my radar, but I was in a pinch and forced to choose from what was available. None of the more economically priced laser printers were in stock, and ink cartridge printers were out of the question for me.

So I had to consider the Ecotank. After seeing how many pages you get right out of the box, it was a no-brainer for what I needed to accomplish. The ET-4760 was more than I had intended to spend, but none of the other in-stock models had the features I needed, so I took a leap of faith.

Setup was a breeze, even for wireless. I was scanning and printing in no time. I am happy to say I got all my exhibits printed. The only downside I faced was the occasional paper jam about every 50 to 100 pages.

Clearing them out was easy enough and took no time. The thing that I’m amazed with is that after hundreds of pages printed, my tanks are still 2/3 filled with the ink that came with the printer! At this rate, I’ll probably be able to go a year or more before I need to buy new bottles.

So far I’ve only printed on regular paper, so I can’t say how glossy pictures will print, but the print quality is fine. Nothing to write home about but it gets the job done. Printers always seem like a crapshoot.

But so far, I’m happy with my purchase, even though I spent more than what I was intending to.

This is the worst printer I’ve ever had, and I date back to dot matrix technology. If you’re not printing every 5 minutes, the ink stops flowing very quickly and you’re left with black and white only, and lousy print quality for that.

Apparently Amazon sells kits for cleaning the heads, but I didn’t pay Epson to spend part of my workday or precious weekend time tearing down their printer so I can complete some third-party process.

It looks like a couple hours of work, at great risk to the mechanism. Originally, in its best days, the print quality was so-so. The print speed is slow, and the tools to fix the print quality are also worthless.

I guess once the ink stops flowing, you have nothing. The ADF scanner equipment is worthless, too. Maybe it can handle a couple of pages, but heaven help you if the page is even slightly wider than 8.

5″. If you have more than 3 pages, you’re going to stand in front of this thing manually switching out pages on the glass bed. I switched to Epson from years of being an HP loyalist, and the first Epson I bought – a massive multi-use thing – wasn’t bad.

I’ve owned this printer for four years, using for a variety of papers. It’s very reliable, making excellent borderless prints, printing cards, and all of the regular home prints for photos and text. The only two things I don’t like are the paper feed tray is set too close to the output tray, and the rear feed doesn’t hold many pages before it starts to affect the feed rollers.

The paper feed tray is awkward to get to when the output tray is extended. It is set on nearly the same level as the table and directly below the output tray. Loading paper stocks means the output tray has to be stored before I can pull the paper feed tray out, and the feed tray has to be pulled completely out in order to load it.

This is an issue when I’m printing front and back on stiffer paper stock, since pulling the tray out each time to reload it means waiting for the output tray to store each time. The rear paper feed is limited in the number of pages it holds.

Too many pages and the pages don’t feed. Could be a problem with the location of the feed rollers? However, I love the way the printer will feed the papers, checking whether they are advanced far enough so the top of the print is actually the top of the paper before it starts printing.

Purchased this printer several years ago. Loved the print quality, especially at this price point. Ink is pricey (6 separate cartridges) but knew that going in. However, after replacing the ink cartridges only a few times, it appears in this latest iteration a small piece in the cartridge receiving tray for an individual cartridge fractured and broke off.

Ink cartridge is not recognized by printer and renders the printer completely useless. Part appears to be under-engineered for its purpose. Have owned multiple printers and never had issues replacing cartridges on any of them.

Online customer service very un-helpful. They ask for pictures documenting the issue and after receiving them say sorry, online help cannot help, close the case and tell you to call them instead. Will not recommend this to other users based on my experience.

I bought for myself and daughter. I do graphics for a county fair and my daughter makes computer graphics, artwork (paint then scan into computer), writes stories and illustrates them and has a website that she uses to put out her main story with graphics for people to read and follow.

Bought the printer to printout 19X13 inch small posters along with 17X11, 12 X 12, and smaller prints of her artwork. This printer was one of the easiest to set up that I have had the pleasure to set up.

The WI-FI connected almost instantly to my router and was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Minor problem for us: Found that we could not print out any 19X13 computer generated art work in the PNG format (Micromedia on a PC), had to convert them to Jpeg.

After that they would print about 90% then fail at the 19X13 size. By reducing the size to below 17X11, all graphics printed out for her using photo paper and high quality printing. Absolutely amazing printouts were realized.

I am able to print out all my 19X13 posters that I use to identify sections of our building at the fair grounds. (12 total) these have clip art, photo art and a central logo for the Fair. These have printed out superbly without a single problem using Word and Publisher.

So far have not ran the machine out of ink so am very happy with the way it prints for me, my daughter not so much but am trying to find some workarounds or reducing the size of her files. Overall very happy with the purchase of this machine, plus the colors and graphics are outstanding.

Set up went well with printer and wireless. Ink priming was another issue. could not get printer head to center after following set up instructions so that I could open the door to printer head. Finally had to manually move it into place which the printer DID NOT like.

Turned printer back on and off, reinstalling cartridges and finally got it to prime. Also, you have to set up the Epson iprint app on your iphone in order to use the printer wirelessly from apple devices.

The iprint app is so limited, you can’t change paper choices, it only defaults to premium glossy. (I use luster). There are some decent paper profiles in the software, but they are not available on the app.

Photos printed using the installed driver look bright and color correct. (Those who have written reviews saying that their prints turn out bad are clearly not versed in how to set the printer settings when the driver opens.

) It gives very good prints for the money and I will use this as my back up color printer quite easily.

–The printer was shipped in an EXTREMELY well packed box. Plugged it in, introduced it to my computer, printed out a perfect test. Printer had been, idk? –ArmorAll’d–and was gleaming and tidy. I was very nervous about buying the not-cheap and somewhat delicate item, but I’m quite happy now.

Pros: Low costs per print due to use of ink tanks instead of stupidly expensive ink tanks. Great results on standard paper for normal printing. Compatibility options very good. Impressive results on photo paper for a non photo specialist printer using only standard CMYK inkset.

Cons: When printing photos on non-OEM paper, testing needs to be done to ensure compatibility. For instance Epson glossy photo paper works well, but Jessops glossy inkjet paper suffers from ink pooling and smudging.

When printing a single page while in double sided mode, don’t be tempted to grab the sheet as soon as it’s done the one side. The printer needs to complete the full double sided cycle before it releases the sheet.

Only slightly annoying that it can’t tell difference.

Good: – Overall, it works quite well. – Printing from phones and tablets has proved to be a godsend. – Have done a lot of printing in a few months and the ink levels are still quite high Could be better: – Connecting to the home network was painful.

– Paper handling is very poor. Paper is not supported very well in the input tray. Therefore if you leave paper there, after awhile it starts to sag. – Because the output tray sticks out, the overall footprint of the printer is quite long, when you consider the input tray at the back.

Good Printer, overall I like it, some things to consider. Pros *Awesome Borderless Prints on 8. 5 x 11 😀 *Fantastic print quality *Duplex (Double Sided Printing) *Wireless Printing and features worked great once setup *Accurate color representation on photos with some profile tweaking to make it “pop” *Good scanner, hi res, worked great for a basic flatbed.

*Relatively fast printing for inkjets in this price-range, with good quality, and also pretty quiet, sure beats the old MX-80 😀 *Small screen but better quality than the “postage stamp” they have on other models (really dislike the postage stamp screen) Epson this should be the standard screen on those.

Cons -212 Starter Carts were just about worthless, enough to prime, clean and print a document set or so. Eh why? -212 Standard carts seem to go quickly, OK for low volume, but not compelling enough / page.

Wouldn’t Recommend, Ughhgg, I need more carts already??? -212XL were the best value, but still no where near page counts estimated, did OK in here, better than 212 standard carts! I was underwhelmed by what I got for what I paid, but it was “better”.

(Bottom line, cartridges are expensive (overpriced), but Epson isn’t the worst, so there you go) -3rd party, those firmware updates are basically locking you out of 3rd party carts, so forget it here, they probably won’t work or won’t for long, don’t update the firmware, its a printer you don’t need to (didn’t they get sued for this? I remember an Epson cart debacle a while ago.

(Same printer head and scanner and basic imaging tech, so yea uh that’s better). Its not bad but consumables make it “not that great” either. It was in stock so there you go.

If you want a printer that is sleek and doesn’t take up much room nor is heavy then this is for you. Other then these positives there isn’t much else I can say. Purchasing to replace an old printer, I don’t print all that much maybe a few documents a week if that.

So figured this would be perfect… boy was I wrong. After printing 5 sheets of black text (not even a full page) the black in was empty and wouldn’t allow me to continue printing to use the remaining coloured ink.

So off I went to get the black ink cartridge…. Get home install it and to a no sale Alignment to then find the lines are all broken, and I need to do a clean and another alignment getting contact with customer service and they tell me that I need to do that three times above the time I’ve done it three times it’s now telling me all 4 ink cartridges are empty….

but I’ve just replaced the black the black ink so it’s brand new, but because all New inks need to be aligned and they need to print out a summary thing I now have no ink again!!! With the ink cartridges themselves costing more then the printer it’s not economical not affordable.

I would not recommend this product nor any of the other apps and products of a similar product unless you have an endless pit of money to spend on ink cartridges. Because most likely you will use all of your ink before you print anything of importance just by setting up the cartridges in the first place taking money elsewhere EPSON you really need to review this and correct your cheap and unaffordable and uneconomical printers!!!!!.

I almost purchased the equivalent Workforce model for the same price, but chose the XP4100 as it was slightly smaller and took up less space in the corner of our living room. My daughter remarked that the graphics printing was much better than the old printer.

I had used the Workforce 4630 for the past 5 years, and had been spoiled. The XP4100 does not have a paper tray. Paper must be slotted in the rear feed, and thus the paper will bend over time. Even the old XP 630 had a paper tray.

The set up of the XP4100 is tricky, especially loading the ink. Almost all the ink in the initial printer purchase is used up priming the print heads. With one of the ink cartridges, I had forgot to remove a small yellow tag.

The colour didn’t print, and it took quite a few attempts to figure out why the printer wouldn’t print that colour. Then I replaced the black cartridge (as it had run out, still during set up), and the black did not print.

Small matter as I forgot to shake the cartridge. It would be good if Epson reminded the user on the set up screen as these points are hugely important. Also the maintenance box is now almost full, even though I have had the printer only a few days!!! Finally, the Wifi set up could be improved.

I went to print this morning, and the Wifi settings had disappeared. Do the settings disappear when I switch off the printer? Not sure. But for sure I had to reinstall the Wifi in a hurry to so my daughter could print her assignment.

I would gladly spend the money to get a WF model and refund for the inks I had purchased if Epson offered it.

Off the bat, setup was maybe a total of 35 minutes from the time I started unboxing it. After that great start, I also found The Epson ET-2800 printer easy to use. The quality of the printing has been perfect for my business and personal use.

I work from home (graphic design) so this comes in especially handy for me because sub-par quality is not an option for my customers and they were not disappointed. I’ll cover that more a little later on the review.

Another amazing feature, and in some ways the best one of all is the ET-2800 comes with more than enough ink so re-ordering toner as frequently as I normally do is one less thing I will have to worry about.

Loading the ink tanks was easy and without any hassle. You can load paper into the ET-2800 via the front tray, rear paper feed or automatic feeder. The wireless capability made it so I could use it from any device in the house which is super convenient for schoolwork, my business, or just for fun.

There are even voice-activated commands that both me and my daughter got a kick out of, not to mention it makes it extra convenient when I need an extra set of hands that aren’t available. The ET-2800 features a small colored screen that makes faxing, scanning, and settings adjustments a breeze.

The print quality is top of the line. Accurate colors, no smudges, and clear as can be. You’d think that a machine with all of these capabilities would take up a ton of space, but it doesn’t. It fits right next to my desktop in my home office and takes up even less space than my other inkjet printer that held far less ink and wasn’t as productive as this machine.

I highly recommend this for home use, especially if you work from home. This is a review for the Epson EcoTank ET-2800 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I wanted a printer that allows me to print checks and envelopes, as well as photos and note cards. I have been reviewing printers for over a month and really had my heart set on same brand, but the higher up version because this one doesn’t do auto two-sided printing.

But, did I want to pay more for that feature? Thankfully, I have access to a b&w laser printer that does auto two-sided printing and I don’t print a lot of documents anyways. This printer saved me money, was in stock, and was discounted on sale.

The other advantage over other brands is the ink tanks. I got the printer home, unpacked it and plugged it in, added the ink which was super, super easy plus there is still a tad bit of ink in the bottles and the lids lock tight for storing.

Setting up the printer via the app on the phone was spot-on, too. It is guided and it is done through what looks like a chat window, helping you through the steps with diagrams. I honestly didn’t have to access the screen on the printer, except to confirm paper size.

I would have preferred tray loading of stock paper, envelopes, etc. but instead, all paper is fed through the back. After working with the printer on. a few prints, I realized that this is better than paper trays for my purpose.

I printed a few envelopes and they printed beautifully. The only exception is if you have only one envelope in the feeder, then it can smudge a little on the leading edge. Solution is to always have more than one envelope, even if you print just one.

Loading was intuitive, too. With other printers, I have problems trying to determine orientation of envelopes and checks. With this printer, it was so intuitive that I got it right the first time and confident.

I won’t have issues in the future! After I printed envelopes, I decided to print a check. I only loaded one check and got it right. The quality came out really well and no smudges. Totally professional.

I did print some documents and they looked stunning, too. The speed is “ok” and for my needs, it works out just fine. Setting the printer up on the Mac was so easy. It found the printer and with a minute, was able to print a test document wirelessly.

I can check on ink levels, etc. Even though the printer is advertised in various ways that this doesn’t have auto two-sided printing, I am giving it four stars. I feel that if Epson really cares about the environment, that they would not make a printer that wasn’t auto two-sided printer.

Not saying they don’t care… but it isn’t representative in the product you are making. Save on ink and plastics, yes… but paper and trees. it’s on me to manually flip to save the trees and bees! I also gave it four stars because there are too many variations of the same printer and it adds complexity to deciding which model works for me.

Each has their pros and cons and if they narrowed their product line down to less models, maybe they would have more in stock? I do really like the screen on the printer. The whole screen and buttons are on a panel that flips up so you can look at it from above rather than squatting in front of the printer.

Love it! The printer does sometimes doesn’t print until I interact with the printer if the paper size changes. Not a big deal… I click OK and confirm yes/no via the up or down arrows and it starts printing correctly.

I went with Epson because of the ink technology and seems that they have a solid line of printers. The printers that has the ink tank technology does cost more, but it looks like refilling will be cheaper than the cartridges.

I would recommend this for the home or home office. Using the printer on a daily basis would not be an issue with this one. If you print two sided a lot, you may want to look for a higher-up model or do what I have… a secondary b&w laser printer.

Epson is a good brand. They are putting a lot of focus on ensuring that they have a quality app, instructions, setup, and features on various price levels.

After being frustrated by the local print shops refusing to print on my own 24 paper, I managed to negotiate this new printer with my wife. My old Epson R2400 is getting a little worn out and only prints 13 wide.

My project required a 24×30 print. Reading reviews and articles about this and other wide format printers, the only adverse comment I saw for the T2170 were complaints about feeding paper. With plenty of experience arguing with recalcitrant printers, I took the plunge and purchased this one.

Surprise with the size and weight of the new printer had me a little worried if it would fit in my computer room. This is a BIG printer, nearly 3′ wide and 1 1/2′ deep, I couldn’t put it where I had originally planned (I should have bought the stand too.

) After rearranging things and finishing setup, I tried my first print. I had no problems feeding roll paper, and very little with cut sheets. The printer is very fussy about skew when loading, but if you carefully follow the guides, it goes in cleanly, even with an unevenly cut leading edge.

The automatic cutter took care of that on the first print. Prints were excellent and well worth the price. It is much more convenient to feed cut sheets from the back rather than the front of the printer, so be sure to leave some room, or put it on a moveable stand of some kind.

I consider this printer well worth the price for someone who needs the width. I can’t wait to try a really big panoramic print!.

Purchased the T5475 about 11 months ago and it’s been a disaster. About 4 weeks into ownership, it started skipping lines when it printed. Here I am 11 months later, and I have had to make 4 warranty calls for the same issue.

They said to swap paper brands so I did, but this did not fix it. Each time the encoder wheel gets dirty with small particles of paper dust. This time the tech has been here 2 days already this week and is returning today with more parts.

Initiated the current warranty call Thursday and here it is Friday of the following week and still not working. Just had to pay a local shop to make some prints for me yesterday. I do not print very often maybe one or two days a week and I have printed probably less than 750 sheets total.

Given that this printer has been torn up about 4 weeks during the first 11 months of ownership is totally unacceptable. Of the 90 days I have needed to print something this unit has been torn up at least 25 of those days.

When it works it is a great machine, but reliability has been awful. Over the last 25 years I have had 3 HP wide format printers and never had any issues. Too bad they don’t have lemon laws for expensive electronics.

This one would fall into that category.

Now that we have about 40 hours of experience with our wife-format sublimation printer, it’s time for an honest review. The Epson SureColor PRO F570 bundle purchased from Swing Design is perfect for home/hobby use.

Once dialed in, the finished custom sublimation fabric for purse and wallet liners is simply amazing. Just for fun, sublimation ceramic mugs and coasters make fun gifts at minimal costs. I am glad we went with the re-fillable F570 instead of less expensive 24″ Epson sublimation printers which require expensive print cartridges.

The F570 is perfect for our number of monthly sublimation projects. The Epson F570 is simple to setup and quick to the first print. The printer’s on-screen instructions are foolproof if you follow them exactly.

The included Epson software takes some time to learn and it’s unfortunate that it can only be installed on a single computer. Since this is a shortcoming of Epson, Swing Design does not deserve to be dinged a star for that.

It is puzzling why anyone would purchase an Epson F570 on eBay (or elsewhere) when prices here at Swing Design are significantly less for brand new, untouched equipment and shipping is included. Shipping to McAllen, TX was fast and everything arrived in perfect condition.

We could not be happier with our Epson SureColor PRO F570 bundle from Swing Design. What an awesome printer!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI purchased the ET-4850 for the office about 6 months ago. The purchase was a little difficult because it was hard to find one in stock but eventually Best Buy had a few.

I had previously purchased an ET-8550 for home use so I had a reasonable idea as to what I was getting. I also reviewed the ET-8550 and while it’s a great printer for what I use it for, it wouldn’t have been a good replacement for the office printer.

We needed the ET-4850 because we still need the ability to FAX. Normally we aren’t high volume and our printing tends to be just a few pages most of the time or a large document of a few hundred pages once in a while (our insurance company is pretty wordy).

Normally the printer is fast enough however it tends to be a bit on the slow when printing on both sides of the paper. That isn’t a big deal because I can do other things while I am waiting for the output.

Ink consumption is pretty good but we aren’t going to get two years out of the factory supplied ink. On the other hand, older printers would have gone through several cartridge changes by now so we are already saving money on ink.

It is nice being able to actually view the remaining ink because it gives you a better idea when to order ink and you know you aren’t throwing away unused ink just because the printer thinks the cartridge is empty.

I have also seen cases where the printer under estimates ink usage and a color will run dry while you are printing. This helps reduce wasted ink needed to clean the printer heads. I have had to clean them a couple of times when the printer went unused for over a week but this is less than with other printers.

The black ink tank is twice the size of the color ink tanks which is important for an office printer. Black tends to be the most commonly used and more ink storage means you have to service the printer less often.

Even with the huge ink tank, the black ink level is dropping faster than the color ink levels. As with any Epson printer, allow sufficient time to set the printer up. You should do the head alignment as it will result in your output looking much better.

In my case, I needed to fix the IP address of the printer so the computers don’t lose track of it should the printer need to be cycled. This printer has a 250 sheet input hopper for paper which is half a pack of copy paper.

That has pretty well eliminated running out of paper because when you think it about time to add paper, there is usually a fair amount left. Double side printing extends the paper supply even longer resulting in the printer being even more economical to operate.

We are using the printer with a WiFi connection even though the printer is close enough to easily cable it. WiFi would allow you much more freedom in placing the printer and normally it shouldn’t have much of an impact on printer speed.

In our case, WiFi just means one less cable to deal with. This printer is used with both both Apple and Dell computers. The only problem is with the Dell where the printer appears off line even though the Apple thinks the printer is usable.

If you attempt to use the Microsoft diagnostic software on the printer, it will find no problems and the printer will start working. I suspect this is a Microsoft bug and hopefully it will get fixed soon.

For that matter, it may be fixed already because we haven’t seen the failure in over a month. There are applications where a laser printer is still superior however if you’re not doing a huge volume of printing or you need quality color, this printer may be exactly what you’re looking for.

IšverstiShow in original languageI bought this printer to mostly print in black and white, but I wanted color available. I also at times print user manuals for vintage amateur radio equipment, which are sometimes over 100 pages, so I wanted something cheap on ink.

I also needed a scanner, and while I preferred a full duplex scanner that can scan both sides of a page on a stack of pages like my previous Brother 4710 printer, I could no longer find such in any printer I looked at under $1,000.

I found the Epson EcoTank line and looked through most of them and settled on this one. It has the larger ink tanks than the less expensive models, and reviews said it was fine for envelope and card printing, so I purchased this model.

I got a price match at another retailer and purchased an extended warranty since every printer I looked at the reviews of had some people who had premature failure, or needed something fixed, and I didn’t want to end up owning a brick after the manufacturer’s warranty was over.

I normally don’t buy extended warranties except on laptops but made an exception here. Setting up the machine was difficult at best, even with the Epson technical support. I had already got the printer to connect to my network on both the 2.

4 and 5 GHz networks in my home, but I couldn’t get my laptop to find the printer. The tech support person had a fairly strong Indian or Pakistani accent, and being hard of hearing to begin with, this made understanding her problematic.

We tried a few different things, and what finally got it recognized was an Epson pop-up that tried to troubleshoot the network connection. It kept popping up, and I’d let it run while the support person tried to help me, and eventually it seemed to fix it.

I haven’t tried this on photo paper, envelopes, or anything except letter paper. The duplex printing works fine. It has a much smaller footprint than my Brother printer did, but then again, the scanner doesn’t scan 8.

5 x 14 inch paper, either. What is probably the greatest feature of this printer is the EcoTank system. It comes with enough ink to print 7,500 black and white and 6,500color pages, or about 90 ink cartridges that other printers would have to use up to provide that much printing.

This brings the cost per page way down, and saves you some time and trouble of not having to change so many ink cartridges. It comes with empty ink tanks, and 4 bottles of ink. Filling the ink tanks is very easy.

There will be a little ink left in each bottle. After priming the ink system, it will have lost a bit of the ink in all tanks, so I used what was left to top off each ink tank after I had it up and running.

Just enough room was left in the ink tanks after priming the ink system to allow the rest of the ink to be used up. They tell you in the instructions that priming the machine will use enough ink that the first charge of ink won’t quite last as long as when you do your first refill.

However, topping the tanks up with the small amount of ink left in the bottles brought the level back up to the full level, so don’t throw away the bottles after filling it. Run the priming operation, then use what’s left to bring it back up to the full mark.

The printer will ask if you topped up the 4 colors and if you tell it yes, then it will reset the calculations back to a full tank for each color and black. I deducted one star for the difficulty of setup combined with off-shore tech support that has a harsh accent and therefore was difficult to understand.

I have nothing against people from other countries, but most companies screen their potential offshore tech support operations for an almost perfect American or English sound with little of the local dialect sound heard.

I expected more of Epson. All in all, this seems like a very good printer. Time will tell if I have problems down the road. I will eventually use it to print some envelopes from time to time, and maybe make cards with it, too.

If I have problems with the paper-handling, I will likely come back and update this review.

IšverstiShow in original languageI have two complaints about this printer. First and the worst problem I have experienced is the printer has now failed to print 4 documents that have contained graphics.

The printer starts to print and then stops. The display screen says “printing” but after waiting ten minutes the print job is still frozen. I have to go to settings, printers, find my printer and open the job queue and delete the job.

Then I have to reboot my computer before the printer will print another document. Now I can print the same graphics document on my ET-5850 in a few seconds. One may ask why didn’t you use the ET-5850 in the first place? Well, I paid $500.

00 plus 6% tax and 4 extra bottles of ink for the ET-4850 while waiting to buy either the ET-5880 or ET-5850 printer and I plan on getting something for my investment. I don’t know if the printer stops printing because it doesn’t have sufficient memory or the if this is a software problem.

The second problem I have experienced is paper jams and paper not being pulled into the printer. I have solved this problem by only filling the paper tray 3/4 full. My printer will not work if the paper tray if full.

The small LCD display makes it difficult to navigate the interface. I knew it was small before my purchase but my display measures 2″ x 1-1/2″. I don’t know where the 2. 44″ spec comes from. The best thing about this printer is the ink tanks.

One set of ink will fill all 4 tanks. I believe the printer will fail before I run out of ink. The replacement ink is a bargain and with the same quantity is half the cost of ink for the ET-5850. I would rather pay a fair price for the printer up front than be afraid to use the printer because of high replacement ink.

Another good thing about the ink tanks is one does not have to worry about getting air into the print head. As long as you keep ink above the lower level, there is no way air can get into the system.

I also use this printer to print from my Iphone. So, I would recommend those looking to purchase an ink tank printer go with the ET-5850 or ET-5880 if you can find one. You won’t regret it.

I just bought this printer today at Sam’s for $249. It included an extra black ink tank. After reading LOTS of reviews, I decided to give the 2760na try, knowing that I have 90 days to return it. Observations so far:1.

Setup was trying. As others have warned, the display is too small to be able to read the symbols, and entering my password was ridiculously tedious, as there is no keyboard. I managed to get it done after several mistakes.

My computer failed to “see” the printer after installation. It turns out I was using my pc’s Ethernet connection rather than wifi. As soon as I connected via wifi, it worked. 2. My first attempts at printing on plain paper resulted in dull, washed out prints.

3. Photo settings are a bit tricky, but after I correctly entered my paper type (glossy), set the printer to use my application settings (Photoshop), and set to highest print quality, I was able to print very good photos.

The paper feed will accept all sizes of photo paper. Don’t expect good photos on anything but good photo paper. 4. Printing from my iPhone was a BREEZE! The correct orientation was automatic and the quality was excellent.

5. Yes, the printer is slow, but for occasional photos, the low ink cost is worth the trade off.

I love this printer, ordered the refurbished version, so far no issues and it looks brand new. I bought the 2720 brand new and there is no difference with quality. So if you worried about buying refurbished DON’T!!! Well worth the savings of a new one.

This model however has a SD card slot to quickly transfer pictures from a camera to print right away. Make sure you take the time to download software and set it up properly. Takes about 20min. and it will print out clearly with no smudges or have future issues.

I love how easy it is to refill and use from any device wirelessly. With having kids in school this is definitely a printer you need to print out all those school assignments on the fly. Its sleek looking design and functions makes printing things out a breeze.

I love the Epson app on my phone as you can check ink levels and do maintenance printing to make sure everything stays operational for months to come. I ordered this one directly from Epson and while I had a few shipping hiccups it arrived in perfect condition.

I highly recommend refurbished to save from ending up in the landfill and still has a great warranty. It was way cheaper than to buy in-store.

It’s pretty easy to setup if you use the full User Guide, certainly easier than the Epson XP-6100 it replaces. The Smart User Guide is not thorough enough for complete printer setup. I went through the full Guide, noted the relevant pages, and read them before setup.

The printer is pretty bare bones. I don’t like having to load paper vertically. Ink is easy to add without making a mess. My printer included an extra bottle of black. I like that it duplexes. My son has a similar model and his ink lasted a full year before he needed to add more.

There is a newer model of this printer but it has fewer features than this older model. Print quality is good. I read many of reviews prior to purchase and all commented negatively about the small, not backlit display panel.

It is small, but setup is logical and the panel tilts up so I didn’t have an issue with it. The price at Sam’s was great and my local store had several in stock. I would buy this model again, however, I would not buy the newer model.

It’s a given that modern ink jet printers are designed to waste as much ink as possible – and this printer is no exception – but with the Epson TC-2170, even the paper loading is nearly impossible. To load standard roll paper it generally take 10-20 attempts before it finally decides the paper is loaded correctly.

This is with new rolls, old rolls, anything. With roll photo paper, it’s a half day job, 40-60 attempts minimum. One of these days someone’s going to have enough and put this thing out the window. We’ve had experience with all sorts of large format printers over the years and this one is the worst.

If you ever get the paper loaded, it does print OK but we could practically do the drawings by hand in the time it takes to get it to accept paper. Epson needs to get it’s act together.

I have been using Epson printers for God knows how long? Infact, I have lost count of how many Epson printers I have bought over the years, from 1800, 3000, 4000, SC P700, SC P900, SC9570, SC-F570, Workforce Pro WF-R4640, I have owned it all.

This new printer SC P700 does not disappoint at all, the colors were stunning, the printing was smooth. I am glad that I didn’t listen to some negative feedbacks on this site before I made my purchase.

I love the printer so much, I but SC900 as soon as B&H informed me of their availability. The P700 and P900 were primarily bought for my new greeting card business because because my bigger printer can’t print greeting cards sizes.

All I can say is that the printers are golden, but watch out for the small size and costs of the P700 ink cartridges, it’s no value compared to the cartridges of of the P900. If you can afford it, go for the P900, you will save money on inks cost VS P700.

One problem I ran into while printing thick stock cards that are non Epson brands, I hard streeks caused by the printer heads or platen being too close to the paper, all I had to do is fix some datas on printing paper in questions on the software supplied by Epson, which is easy to do with this new printer, other than that, I am very pleased with my purchases as always and the fast services from B&H.

My SC-P700 and SC-P900 are a great buy.

I was apprehensive when I read a few of the previous reviews, but I owned the Epson 9900 for just over 10 years and it was a great printer. I primarily use the printer for marketing proofs and small print runs.

This new Epson SureColor P9570 44 Wide-Format arrived in great condition. It took about three hours to un-pack and set-up. I did run the firmware update before attempting any prints. The process was easy and straight forward.

I ran proofs against older prints I had from the previous 9900 and there was an improvement in color fidelity. The light blue and skin tones looked much better. In general, due to the addition of violet ink, the prints have a bit more balance in lighter tones.

I have already made multiple 12 x 7′ prints on Epson Enhanced Matt with great results. So far the only negative I have found is, each time I use the new auto loading for roll paper, I get a warning that the loading is skewed.

I hit continue and there is no problem, even when running a 7-8 foot print. My guess is this is something a firm ware update in the future can address. Over all, a great printer.
