This Tank Bond Clear Epoxy is very easy to use. Just squeeze a little, evenly and spread on the desired surfaces. We applied this on a few pools that we use for our outdoor animals and it worked fantastic.

Our animals use these pools daily, so when they developed a crack it was in important situation. The tank bond dried very quickly, almost completely set within five minutes. After watching the video of gluing a kayak back together, I purchased this product to attach a skeg to my West Marine Abaco 9. 5 kayak. The kit includes everything you need to make repairs or to attach accessories to a plastic kayak.

The skeg is made from expanded PVC sheet, epoxied to the bottom of the kayak with g/flex 655, and reinforced with fiberglass mat. I followed the instructions for surface preparations and I am amazed at the holding power.

I can lift the kayak off the ground by pulling on the skeg and it stays put. Pretty amazing stuff that does exactly what it claims to do. Mixing is easy with the included pallets, you just put equal amounts of rest and hardener on the pallet and mix.

Marine Grade Epoxy’s Without the “Marine Grade Price” PC-11 and PC-7 are just two Great products made by Protective Coating Co. However, The simple instructions must be Read,Understood and followed. As with any, Glues, Adhesives or Epoxy’s, It can’t bond to everything! I have used PC-11 to seal leaking seams in the bottom of a small fiberglass boat while wet in the water, Fill dents sand, Prime and paint over it on Heavy equipment.

Filled stripped out threads in bolt holes re-drilled them and cut new threads in them. I have yet to find anything it hasn’t permanently repaired. PC-11 has a tensile shear strength 1,710 PSI. And a shelf life of over Two years.

I buy this product in the 4 pound can size because I don’t like to be without it. Just remember what those annoying instructions say: ” Test a small area when in doubt. ” Description: PC-11® was formulated as a true marine epoxy, allowing users to bond to wet, dry and fully submerged substrates.

I tried to use this stuff to fill and hide seams on a plastic resin statue, something I have done about 100 times. I usually use PC-7, which is a great product. I wanted to try this because it is supposed to cure in an off-white color and it says it cures underwater.

Whoa, right? Must be some super strong epoxy resin. Wrong this stuff is complete trash you would be better off using chewing gum, this stuff will never cure as hard as you want or in any time frame that will allow you to keep a shred of your sanity.

I actually hate this product, that’s how much grief it has caused me. Now I have to carefully clean this goop off my statue and go buy some PC-7. So I lost about $10 and a full days work on this worthless product.

Get PC-7 or you will lose like me!.

Ive used the product before and found it to be a Great epoxy for most anything. Brief statement- I was doing some work above my toilet when a heavy piece dropped and made about a 5″ square hole in the bowl.

I put the piece in place and held it with tape while on the inside I used the epoxy and waited til it firmed up (pretty quick). Then did the same to the inside. Less than a day later I first tested it for leaks then for support.

It really saved me since I was ready to go in for carpal tunnel surgery. I really need to replace it. Is that AWESOME or what? Will be getting more. :).

The epoxy was used for a under water pool light. Need to fill a 3/4 whole with a pool light cable in it. It leaked everywhere in the niche. The directions are for cracks but seen it used you-tube used to fill a similar hole but the solution was watery even under water.

Went with pool putty instead.

This Gorilla All Purpose Epoxy Stick is just as amazing as their other products. i needed to glue something and keep waterproof. well, this worked exactly as it said it would. just as easy to use as well.

My husband was thrilled with this Gorilla Epoxy Stick. We had several miscellaneous household items that needed repair, and it it worked perfectly on all of them. It even worked on a metal lawn chair that had a broken leg – we’ve been sitting on it for the past couple weeks, and it’s still holding great.

My husband also likes the fact that this is a putty, which he says is much easier to work with than liquid.

This epoxy is stronger than some other ones I have used. I bought it to repair a plastic bumper part on my car that was cracked from hitting a deer. Repair holds very well, but it took more like 15-20 minutes to set.

That’s a long time if you were planning to just hold it together while it set. Due to the shape of the bumper, I couldn’t really clamp it. After my first failed attempt, I figured a way to hold the part in the right position with tiny bungee cords and propping it just right.

Would have been helpful to know the real set time going into the project.

Provides an decent bond, but for the high price (with such a small quantity) I was expecting better from JB Weld. At least in my experience with the product, (after properly mixing, and letting it sit a minute or so per instructions) it didn’t set in an hour.

It was still very malleable, almost silicone like. I was expecting rock hard epoxy. It did eventually set a few days later but JB Weld’s claims on the package are a bit misleading. Maybe I got a bad batch.

Excellent product. great hold and quick setting. On the other hand, it was so quick to set that while securing my ‘weld’, which only took a few minutes, the application nozzle clogged with the epoxy and is no longer usable.

Maybe my fault because I did not clear it immediately, but had to set my clamps first. Overall a good value however will have to make an applicator to use effectively again.

I’ve used Epoxy glue for 50 years! My dad used it many years before that. My use for the last 25+ years is somewhat unorthodox. A co-worker(yes he’s still a friend, lol) mashed my thumb between two pieces of industrial equipment, damaging the nail bed.

The nail now chips and breaks off at a very short length, approx 3/8″. I actually make a nail extension with the 2 Ton, allowing the nail to grow longer. for a while, and strengthen somewhat. Other “5 Minute” epoxies are to soft for this application, and loosen after a few days.

The 5 Ton stays strong and hard for approx. two weeks. Thanks for a great product!!.

Somewhat hard to find strong SLOW setting epoxy resin glue. 30 minutes handling; 30 minutes setting and 8-12 hours for full cure. Most current epoxy glues have 5 minute setup time but when you need more time for set up and a stronger bond (like jewelry) this is the one for you.

Clear color but prolonged exposure to sunlight will make it yellow over time. Resistant to water and most chemicals. Like most epoxy resins it will NOT bond to polyethylene or polypropylene plastics (try cyanoacrilic aka superglues for these).

I use this stuff for wood / plastic / metal projects. As long as surfaces are clean, this won’t pull apart. Another “one job down, 999 to go” scenerio. For weekend worriors and professionals alike, I’ll buy more myself in multiples for easy cleanup.

Plastic knives mix it up easy. Out of 10? 10 it is.

As promised, it was easy to use and set up quickly, but it just wouldn’t stick to the oil pan. As I was trying to smudge it on there it just kept sticking to my finger instead of the pan. I finally mashed the holy-snott out of it onto the spot and it KINDA worked.

Even so, if you leave the finish rough and don’t mash it some more until it’s smooth oil will leak thru it. This is not the right kind. Instead, use the quick-set. that stuff is the bomb!.

I had troubles getting my fuel sending unit to stop leaking and as a last ditch effort, I gave up on gaskets and used this JB Weld product. You have to work fast, but after letting it dry overnight, I put gas in my tank and no leaks, of coarse I did realize that it was a one shot idea and this new sending unit will probably be in the tank for life.

I was initially confused about this product because the packaging and the name of the product didn’t match what is shown on the TSC website or the J-B website. After some close comparison of the description of the product, it was clear that there was just a difference of artwork, or copy.

This didn’t have any impact on the product though. I had purchased this to fill in some wear depressions on the backing plate for a drum brake setup. I used this product like ‘Bondo’ to fill in the wear areas and ground it flush after it had hardened.

Worked as advertised.

I’m using this to seal cracks and seams in my gunite/plaster pool. The application has gone well. It’s thick enough to use on vertical surfaces. It isn’t too messy if you are careful, and it cleans up very easily if you keep Isopropyl Alcohol handy.

I loaded up a spray bottle which made it much more convenient to clean as I worked. I think it states about 30 minutes of workability, which seems about right. You may be able to stretch that time some, but you’ll need a stiff putty knife.

I like how it cures. It almost feels plasticky, but extremely tough. Of course, I’m not performing any load testing on the bonds, but my first impressions are very good. I did prep the areas with a TSP cleaning ahead of time.

The product really is outstanding!. slightly flexible (or it wouldn’t work well on a boat hull) It does dry white in spite of one review here. I think I know why there was a problem. This epoxy, like many others, will pick up color from the water environment.

if there is any. I used this for objects in a model wave tank. The water had a bit of blue food coloring added to make the water visible. The PC-11 picked up that blue color. It may be porous on the surface (just guessing) Acrylic paint sticks very well PC-11.

some of the objects i use this epoxy to make, are painted and must stay under water for a long time. Epoxy paint and Acrylic paint work well. It is a slow curing epoxy. might explain it’s tendency to bond very well to marine surfaces.

I have some travertine in my shower that developed ugly blotches from the filler deteriorating. This waterproof two part epoxy works well for patching those, and filling other small voids. After removing the damage, and cleaning, it was easy to mix a small amount, apply it with a plastic putty knife.

Then I came back later, after the epoxy firmed up, and used a razor scraper to remove and level the filler. It blends as well as the original. Set up nicely after a day or two. Firm enough for vertical application.

I used propoxy 20 on a joint of a return line connecting to my boiler. I needed to prepare the area before I applied the epoxy. the trick is to wet your fingers so it doesn’t stick to your fingers, after I used it on the joint I smoothed it out with my damp fingers.

It’s rock solid, it hardened very quickly. worth what ever you pay for it.

I have used all makes of epoxy resin adhesive for more years than I would admit to, with verifying degrees of success. This type of two part mix it your self is nothing new, however the effectiveness and range of different materials the Gorilla ER will work with is new and very good.

In my opinion this is the best 2 part on the market at present. But a few things to remember, only mix what you need and can physically apply in any one go, it will start to set very quickly. Do mix very thoroughly, I use my vast collection of Starbucks green coffee lid stoppers, and clamp/put weight on parts, the bond is not as fast as the directions say.

The ER is very clear and not highly noticeable at edges when set, again don’t over apply, with this ER you don’t need to. Another good point is the lack of surface preparation required, it bonds firmly to smooth surfaces with out the need to scuff first.

It’s also water “resistant”, I have used it on external gland threads, metal and plastic, this means the whole fitting won’t turn during final assembly and will never leak. Finally keep the one piece cap on the end of the applicator when not in use, this end area does get messy, keep it clean and closed.

Great product which is easy to use. A semi opaque freezer drawer front cracked when removing for defrosting. Checked the tolerances of the product and it was okay to use at most temperatures. A really straightforward application, 10 minutes of pressure, and it’s as good as new.

Not to mention saving £28 on a replacement part Used very little product so resealed ready for other breakages. Wide range of applications and value for money. Recommended.

I bought this adhesive for the specific purpose of joining two pieces of metal together with the idea of making an oil filter tool. I noticed after mixing the two part epoxy together it was quite aquious so I attached the two parts together with a small amount of the epoxy and allowed it to dry.

Afterwards I simply applied more coats to deepen the resin layer and so making it even stronger. It dries very clear and rock hard! It seems suitable for small gap filling and being farely aquious straight after mixing it’s very easy to apply to the job.

I’ve attached a 10mm steel bar to a cut down 27mm impact socket. A small weld would be more suitable but for home made purposes and not having a welder, this epoxy has worked a treat! Just remember though, it is pretty aquious(runny), so for vertical applications you may need to reapply further layers to build the required thickness if a thicker layer is needed.

Also, waiting a short time proved useful to lessen the slump rate after application (allowing it to dry slightly). It seems to be a great glue and extremely strong!.

So this product isn’t made to be a forever fix so don’t use this product for that. But I bought this product and follow the steps of brushing and cleaning the area. Before mixing and applying the product.

I have been two and half months straight with no leak returning. I have been checking more often then not. But It was easy to apply and it seems to be holding on tight. I can say this the product never stated it’s a forever fix but it can stop the leak.

And it’s been doing it’s job so far. I can see this holding on for at least 6 more months until I have to apply again.

I Bought this for a rusted out weld around 3/4 of the nozzle of the gas tank of my 2003 mitsubishi lancer (Evap Code). I removed the tank, wire brushed as much rust as i could, washed with alcohol then followed the directions.

Mixed it, pushed it into the crack, built a barrier around the nozzle. The next step i think is very very important, wait at least 24 Hrs before painting or weatherizing even longer if possible. I think this is where I went wrong with a different product I tried.

Either way after 15 or so Hrs it still seemed a tad pliable after 24 Hrs it was hard as a rock. I waited another 1/2 day then painted & reinstalled. after 300 miles still no evap code. I got my fingers crossed & will update this review later if possible.

Ive got a Massey Ferguson 275 that had a slight leak coming out of the injector pump. I cleaned the spot up where the leak was. Mixed the stop leak as directed and applied. Waited overnight before starting tractor.

Have used tractor several times and so far no leak.

The product’s handy to use. Being fast-cure it is not as strong as a slow cure, nor as weak as a one-minute. But, it’s plenty strong. The working time is about 3-4 minutes at 21-C. The rest of this review is assuming 21-C temperature (About 70-F).

Once the items are assembled, the clamping time is about 15 minutes. After that time one can then remove the assembly from the clamp, freeing it up for the next item. The “functional cure” time is, as advertised, about an hour.

This is when the object can be moved about without much caution. After about 24 hours, the cure process is complete, as evidenced by lack of out-gassing. The cured material is about Shore 80, so it can be scratched, sanded & filed easily but not readily dented.

The product can be painted if properly primed. We once did temperature testing of this product. At about (-) 35-C, the bond became somewhat brittle. Surprisingly there was no releasing of the parts due to shrinkage movement.

(Elongation = ca. 1%). At 100-C the bond held. If not exposed to UV light, it remains clear for a year or so before yellowing begins. Outdoors, exposed to the sun, it yellows quicker. The Lap-Shear rating is said to be 2450 psi.

I’ve never tested it, but don’t doubt the claim based on experience. As far as holding-when-stretched (elongation) is concerned, the ultimate torture for an adhesive is to adhere a panel to something exposed to a vastly different temperature.

Paint it black & put it in the sun. For fun, once I used this to adhere a patch panel on a black truck’s door. It has been holding fine for years, despite the fact that the outside gets ultra hot in the sun & the mounts to which it is expoy’d are much cooler.

SOME CAUTIONS- Do a good prep job. Clean the pieces thoroughly (no paint thinner or oily solvents) & roughen the surfaces up a bit. We very much like this adhesive and it is available in larger sizes & in a gun.

I think you will be pleased at this fast curing product.

Other than speciality ($$$) products, generally the shorter the cure time for an epoxy adhesive, the lower the holding strength. In testing, this product has shown itself to be stronger than any other brand with the same cure time.

Note that the 1 hour cure is not the working time, nor is it the full cure time. It’s more of a guide. Check the directions or TDS & sales propaganda for details. The cured adhesive is more or less clear.

In time, it will yellow a bit as it’s exposed to UV from the sun & from lamps. Summary- For “1 Hour” epoxy products, this one is our preference.

I used this to repair 2 old Swarovski crystal pieces which had fallen apart where the factory had glued them. I had previously tried super glue type products which did not work. This product did the job.

I use JB Weld (plus CA glue)on most of my wood working projects and they never fail me. Those reviewers that said it doesn’t work because they didn’t know what these clear epoxy use for and did not know how use them properly.

The clear epoxy could be use on most of the material listed on the package except metal. If you want to use metal on metal or metal on other material then go with the Original JB Weld (the dark grey color one when you mixed them up).

The advantage of the clear JB weld is it looks nicer on the attached surfaces and curing time is much faster than the Original JB weld.

Best epoxy kit for your money! Tried others including brand-name ‘dual’ syringe types. They didn’t harden and hold and the tips got bloked after 1st use. JB is more expensive but works incredibly well and you’ll get many, many re-uses from kit.

Bought this to fix a small chip on edge of glass/ceramic stovetop. It has covered it and can be wiped over with dishcloth but didn’t harden as I thought it was supposed to do. Maybe I misunderstood the person helping me.

She was very helpful in that I had no idea what to look for.

The best deal on two part epoxies I could find on the web after many hours of searching. Pros: Very long, open work time. Mixes much faster than other two part putties that require kneading as opposed to stir mixing.

This was the stickiest compound I have found in many years. Sticks incredibly well to just about any surface you can think of. It has a slight flexing quality even though it can seem almost glass hard to the touch when fully cured.

Cons: On the other hand, the stickiness is so extreme that it will stick to anything it touches so it can be tedious to keep from sticking to tools, hands, gloves or anything else while working with it.

The cure time was very long for me (48-72 hours for rock hard cure and up to a week for full 100% chemical cure). Especially being used to kneadable putty versions that can setup in 20 minutes and cure in an hour or so.

Although I experimented with heat and found that it will setup in 3-5 minutes and cure within a few hours or less if you use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat it for just a few seconds (10-30 seconds depending on how thick or large your mixed clump is, flattened).

I used this epoxy for potable, fish tank applications in expectation that it would be non-toxic as described in some descriptions but it does give off a stronger odor that resembles somewhat toxic glues so I will be testing it for this very soon.

It only comes in dark charcoal grey so if it does not match your repaired surface, you may need to lightly sand and paint your repair. I believe PC-11 would preform a little better and is also more water resistant and comes in white.

The very best epoxy product for certain applications. I have several identical electric bikes, which are extremely robust, except for the fenders, which have “break-away” fenders, supposedly for safety reasons, the questionable idea being that the rider not be sliced by them in a crash.

The problem, however, has always been that they break away in exactly the same attachment point, destroying a very delicate plastic clip, where the metal struts attach to the plastic fender. Half a dozen times, in fact, I have had to replace these fenders, which are proprietary, costly, and impossible to find, except from one distributor 2500 miles away, These replacement fenders can nowhere be purchased as aftermarket parts.

Finally, I found this repair product, PC-7, which is a workable putty. It does a wonderful job in filling voids. In my case I was not only able to fill a void, but to wrap the whole flimsy broken clip for massive reinforcement, like a cast on a broken arm.

It dries so hard and strong, that when I tested a sample it could not be shattered by repeated hammer blows on a concrete floor. 100% perfect for my repair problem.

Great stuff. The tray that catches the water in my central a/c system rusted through; there were little pinholes all over and a few large holes too. so whenever the a/c is on, water leaks all over. The tray isnt removable/replaceable so I thought uh oh – this means replacing the unit.

Big bucks. But I was able to coat the tray from the outside with the epoxy and seal all the holes. Its thick put you can use a putty knife to spread it around. Its sticky too Plenty of time to work with it.

And its thick so it doesnt drip.

This epoxy is as good as any, and it’s a good value. But the packaging is always a horribly sticky, messy problem, particularly tube for the Part A resin. The resin absolutely will leak out of the tube cap, no matter how you tighten it.

Then the stuff runs everywhere, dissolves the paint off of the exterior of both tubes, and gets all over everything. You will have this problem as long as you keep the stuff in the tubes. I’m seeking some other container adequate to decant the contents into and avoid these infernal leaking tubes.

This epoxy is a very quick-setting epoxy. I’ve made “peanut butter” with milled fibers for repairs and reinforcing assemblies and it has worked great for that but when I do layups for larger repairs, I find the epoxy cures far too quickly, so I need to mix smaller batches so it really isn’t suitable at all for anything but the smallest of fiberglass layups, and it also does not dry perfectly clear; it has a slight yellow tone, so it should not be used for cosmetic repairs.

It is easy to work with and unlike some other epoxies it’s hard to get the ratio between A and B wrong, it seems to be very strong, and is overall great for small repairs, providing you remain mindful of the very short working time.

This stuff is awesome. It sets into a solid plastic and does it quickly. The downside is that ot sets too fast. Here in Vegas it was setting while trying to finish mixing parts equally while outdoors.

After taking my project inside my 74° house, i had about a minute to mix and 4 -5 til it set. Its difficult to mix without creating tons of air bubbles, but all uin all is a great product for the price.

I have expensive resins that set to the same clnsistency, but take 8+ hours to tack.
