I am in LOVE with my new Delsey Chatelet 2. 0 Weekender Duffle Bag. So luxurious and stylish. I have never owned a bag like this in my life, no more backpacks and plastic bags for me. It is so spacious yet not bulky and can hold so many things.

The chocolate brown color and design are on point. I used this on a weekend road trip with my family. I was able to hold both me and my daughters clothing, shoes, and toiletries. It was so awesome. I got lots of compliments and cannot wait to go on more trips with it.

It was really nice to have all my focus on one bag instead of multiple small bags. I would definitely recommend this bag, extremely well made and perfect for travel.

I received this suitcase as a gift around 2015, and I estimate that I have checked it on over 350 flights with extremely minimal wear over that time frame (I have flown every other week for work and had destroyed countless bags before this one).

Furthermore, I have walked the suitcase hundreds of miles across nearly every major city in the United States. I recently went through a house fire, and the bag and contents survived. Then to add insult to injury, I left the bag in my garage to air out, and a homeless person broke in and stole the bag from my house.

Oddity of oddities, I ended up seeing her downtown the following day rolling all her worldly possessions in that bag! I told her that the bag belonged to me for many years before she took it. She offered to give it back and I said no, and instead handed her the remaining cash in my wallet and wished her better fortune.

I hope the bag brings her as much luck and joy as it brought me. I will be purchasing this exact same model of bag to replace the one that served me so well. I am mildly glad I didn’t know it cost over $600 when I made the mildly impulsive decision to let her keep it.

A perfectly designed bag! We have owned this bag for three years and have traveled with it numerous times domestically and internationally as a checked bag. Astounding that it still looks and feels like new.

This bag is so versatile with its different compartments: whether you want to separate the laundry or awkwardly shaped items like shoes from your shirts, it offers so many possibilities that all your items arrive safely and neatly – always! Furthermore, the compartments make everything more accessible, such an advantage when you travel from one place to another and don’t want to unload your luggage.

Plus, the handles are comfortable and make it so easy to carry when you have to.

First time traveling with a Briggs & Riley bag which I purchased just before a recent trip to Europe. Happy with the luggage. Feels well built, no problems with zippers, wheels, etc (no surprise). I used it purely as a rolling carry on vs as a duffle, and am still questioning whether I should have bought the Baseline Global instead, mainly for the expandable feature, but really no regrets here.

Pulled it through several airports and train stations, and on uneven sidewalks on which it performed particularly well. Love the ext. frame as well.

The best features of the EC Flashpoint are (1) the pass-through panel for mounting on a trolley handle; and (2) its ability to flatten down and stow in a main bag, to hold return items. The main problems are (A) ease of access – snap handle, dual compression straps, narrow zipper opening; and (B) the “non-suitcase” profile – duffels don’t have a “narrow” side to slide into a 9″ wide luggage tester.

I prefer the slightly undersized 41″ (L+W+H) Small version; the Medium is 47″, 2″ over the 45″ limit for overhead. Since my preferred use is as an underseat bag, the Small works well for me even though the underseat limit on UA is 36″ (and this Small is 41″).

Underpacked, the Small doesn’t raise eyebrows at the departure gate. (BTW, UA allows BOTH a 45″ overhead and 35″ underseat – WOW. )Even underpacked, the Small can easily hold my “local EDC bag” of choice – small 12L messenger, 7L shoulder bag, or 18L daypack – with room left over for water bottle(s) outbound and inbound, and my fleece if its too hot.

I count on my local carry bag to provide tablet protection – remember duffels are minimalist without pockets or padding. If you are looking for a return bag for souvenirs (or to hold your clothes, shoes, and laundry so your hard-sided luggage has room for souvenirs), you can’t do better than this in terms of ruggedness.

I also had one arrival carousel worker give me a “thumbs up” for the extra grab handles on either end of the duffel – traditional “tube duffels” usually don’t have them. There’s a reason why this classic Eagle Creek duffel has been in production at least 20 years IIRC – it’s darn tough, high quality, with a good brand name.

When I travel I use one 22″ or 25″ checkable roller bag, a small backpack for my ETT (Essential Traveling Toys) that goes under the seat, and “something else” for my second carry-on. This bag has proven to be the near-perfect “something else”.

Durable fabric, slides onto the roller’s handle, and compactly fits into the included small sack when not being used. (That carry sack is great when you get to your destination — or even at home — as a lunch sack, organizer, etc.

) The No Matter What ends up in the overhead to hold things I don’t want to check, but don’t usually need in-flight (but might need in the terminal). To provide a little extra protection and help the bag hold shape, I cut a piece of closed-cell sleeping mat (from my dwindling stash of Ensolite) to fit the bottom and go a little bit up the sides.

Camera bag, chargers, cords, adapters, and similar items go in the bag, with a small laptop in a sleeve is usually the top item. The laptop comes out at security and I can also pull it out for in-flight use when I get to my seat.

Clunky items (like a tabletop tripod) go in the small carry sack (which is itself quite substantial) for a bit of extra protection. The cinch straps holds things together when you need to get it into a small space, such as the regional overhead bins.

This bag has worked very well for international and domestic air travel, and also for those shorter trips in the car.

Tough, practical bag for lugging your stuff. Not a “duffle bag” with a metal frame that gets bent or corners that tear. It’s a bag that folds up into the smaller tote, but it does have really nice large wheels and a hard protective bottom where the wheels are.

The rest is flexible material. With restrictions on airline luggage at 50 pounds, why carry something that weighs 12 pounds empty? Heavy duty zippers and straps.

This is a very nice sports bag (IF you don’t mind the giant Jordan logo on the side). It’s on the small-medium side, especially if you use the included shoe compartment, there’s not a TON of room left inside the main compartment.

I appreciate the comfortable handles and shoulder strap, and the covered zipper side pocket. A separate bottle holder would have been nice. Overall, sturdy and well made, but a little small.

I have been a Vera Bradley customer for many years, & one thing that remains constant, is the wonderful quality of all the items I purchase. I recently received a lovely gift card from family , so decided to go with this great large duffle bag for future travelling.

Super roomy, but not too big. It is beautiful quilted fabric in black, with a black & white lining. Pockets galore as only Vera Bradley can do, & so convenient for travelling, to store all those many items to take.

I have another small tote bag, I purchased previously, in the black quilted fabric, so they both match. The item came with an extremely nice shoulder strap, & also has straps for handles, to carry. All packed so nicely when shipped, real attention to detail.

The duffel’s fabric is durable and soft, and extremely high quality for a recycled product. I appreciated the longer, wider carrying straps, including the padded detachable shoulder strap, as this was a road trip and I had to haul the bag in and out of our car and up a flight of stairs to our room.

The large exterior pockets gave me plenty of room to jam last-minute items such as cords, chargers, hairbrushes, and shawls into the duffle. Best of all, the interior lining has a light background fabric, which is not only pretty but practical: it’s easier to see your black stuff (and I have a ton of black stuff) against a light background.

I have the olive drab color, and I love its versatility. The only problem: my husband likes it, too, and he may steal it from me.

I’m a college student who goes home on weekends and this bag is perfect. It is so spacious inside it holds all of my clothes and even a pair of shoes or two. There are also multiple pockets that are very useful and hold my hair products and accessories.

The duffel bag also has the most comfortable shoulder strap so you don’t have to worry about the strap digging into your shoulder and causing pain. Also, who doesn’t love butterflies? The pattern is so cute and caught my attention immediately.

All in all, this bag is amazing and definitely an upgrade from my previous bag.

I bought this about a month ago, and took it to the mountains of NC for a hiking trip. I love that it is waterproof, rolls easily, is spacious for the look of it and can fit in an overhead bin on a plane.

The one negative is the handle, you have to pay attention when you retract it, the first time it gave me a wicked blood blister. But it only happened once. I love Osprey, they make quality products. I got this to replace my 3 year old Granite Gear carry on bag as it was falling apart.

I’m tough on bags, I travel 300 days a year for work, they are thrown around in planes and trucks. I wants a bag that has sturdy wheels, good solid fabric that would hold up to the elements and travel.

So far I am loving the bag. I hope it lasts for more than 3 years.

I love this bag. It is spacious, and light weight. Bought to replace n aging Eddie Bauer bag that is closer to 60 l and sometimes it just wouldn’t fit quite everything. Should be able to get everything in this with room to spare.

The material is rigged looking, and love the waterproof/ resistant zipper covers. Love the hard bottom, which allows it to stand alone ( other bag kept tipping). It does mean the bag is not quite as collapsible as my old favorite – one end is rigid, even if only 2/3 full, but overall, prefer the stability.

While it holds a lot it doesn’t look huge – and the wheels are super smooth. Got this at the recent sale – as the price tag is a bit high off sale, but would love a slightly smaller version as well – 60 ( bigger than the available 40- which just isn’t big enough.

I generally love Osprey products and I really like the size of this bag and the lack of excessive bells & whistles. I think it will just barely pass the checked bag size restrictions when packed fully.

I do have some doubts as to how the finish of the front/exterior will hold up versus commercial airline baggage conveyors because I have seen reviews on other sites that show the finish becoming marred after one trip, but that wasn’t enough to discourage me from buying this duffel.

It rolls smoothly and the telescopic handle feels secure as well as the grab handles. Note that the ID window is NOT mesh-obscured as indicated (I have the black color) but not a deal breaker at all for me.

I just received my rolling duffel, and love it’s look and durable fabric. I was surprised how heavy it was to lift, even empty, assuming that the rolling apparatus causes that. It is nice that the bag folds down for storage, but this causes the sides to all fold in as you try to pack.

Hopefully, as garments are put in, that will support the sides. Wheels roll well, although no swivel. Pull-up handle works well. I like the padded fabric handle on the end opposite the pull-up, for carrying by hand.

The two handles which snap together have no padding at all. Overall, I like this bag, and look forward to trying it out!.

Good size for weekend for 3- 4 day travel without dressy clothes. I ended up needing another case for a week long outing. I wear size 6 shoes and was able to fit 4 pr. of shoes/sandals in shoe compartment.

The other compartment fit most of my clothes, but I needed a bag for toiletries, hair care items, essentials that wouldn’t fit in the case with clothes for the week. the outside pocket on the long side is helpful, but could be a bit larger.

I love the pocket on the end. This replaced a bag I had been using for 10 years. I like that it stands up and the feet are very helpful keeping the bag out of the dirt when rolling/sitting outside. This is costly, but worth it.

I like that its made from recycled bottles instead of cloth.

This is my second purchase of this duffle bag; earlier I bought a camouflage one for my grandson. My grandchildren are 7 and 5 and these bags are the perfect size for a trip to grandma’s or a vacation.

They are well made, sturdy and durable. You also have many color/fabric options so there is sure to be something for everyone.

Coming to the web site to buy my second Rockland bag. I think I got the first one about 3. 5 years ago. I use and abuse it–hard–about every other day, and I’m starting to get worried about it now. So far, I’ve only lost a zipper pull (too lazy to fix it), but the corners are starting to look thin and worry me.

I’m surprised that this economy-priced bag has held up so well. I really love this bag. It has a place for everything, from big to small. Shoes, water bottle, towel in the middle, with room for a change of clothes (and lunch, if you cram it in there!).

The end pockets hold spare glasses, ipod, power pack, cables, CDs, snacks. And the smaller front pockets are ideal for gym card, hair bands, keys. If you don’t live out of your gym bag like I do, it might be a bit too big.

It’s going to be really hard for me to give up my pink paisley for one of these current graphic styles. Meh.

Just as others have said this bag seems durable. It holds a good amount of items. The bag has plenty of space for a gymnast. Change of clothes, water bottle, and shoes and out the door. I would recommend it.

The duffle bag comes with some built in foam rigidity that is smashed when they jam it into a tiny box for shipping. So they pretty negate one of the selling features by shipping it that way. The rigidity is in the bottom and part way up the sides.

Maybe add some foam rigidity to the “lid” as well. You need to fill it to have it retain its shape. The zippers are adequate and have the water resistance feature that closes up as you zip it closed, but not as difficult to use as a Yeti cooler zippers.

If you overfill it, I would be careful of the zippers. With that being said, I had no zipper failures. I used this on a 10 day motorcycle trip. It has minimal but useful “Molle” type connectors as well as numerous handles and other tiny loops that are useful for tying the bag down with a bungee cord.

It held up to light rain (10-15 min) a couple of different times. I don’t think I would leave it exposed to an all day rain event and expect things to remain dry. It has two small exterior pockets in either end of the lid.

A couple more exterior pockets would be nice. Price point is a little high. I would say by about $50 per bag.

I bought this as a carry-on for a three country trip through Germany, Austria and Italy. It fit in the overhead perfectly for those wanting to use this as carryon. The compartments and zipper held areas stood up to a lot of rough handling and it came out of it in great condition.

I’ve only had it for this one trip so far but I fully intend to use it for the shorter CONUS trips. My only concern is that the shoulder strap needs to be a bit more padded. It was cutting into my shoulder on some of the longer walks between trains or to hotels.

Love the bag though and definitely recommend it! Who doesn’t want to be a Yeti ambassador in the EU?? :).

This bag is very sturdy, the fabric has a heavy hand to it, and the zippers are great quality. But the size, it is so small – I have other 60L’s and they fit 2+ pairs of jeans and an additional sweatshirt that this bag does not.

I was hoping this was going to be the perfect weekender bag, but it just does not fit everything you would need for a weekend away in Montana. I think that an 80L/85L would be the move for this design.

I will be watching for additional sizes to come in the future seasons.

I was in the market for a very specific product after my faithful backpack from another outstanding company started to show signs of wear after a decade. I knew I wanted a fully opening clamshell zip, and externally accessible compartments for separating gear.

I also needed a smart colour and design that simultaneously did not attract attention, and yet also did not look out of place in a meeting room or business class cabin. I also needed it to be sturdy enough to go all over the world and request performance from it that it was never imagined for.

After a good amount of international travel use, and daily use commuting by bike in one of the most massive and densely populated cities on Earth, I think I’ve found my pack. The 40L capacity is extremely utilitarian – I can fit 2 pairs of shoes and enough outfits for 3-4 days, plus a hygiene kit, still carry the pack comfortably on my back, on my shoulder via the side-strap.

The compartmentalisation and internal storage is well thought out and executed, providing excellent organisational capacity. I read several reviews before purchasing this pack, and tend to agree with the positives, and find the negatives as either reflective of personal preferences, or simply nit-picky.

All in all, this is an excellent pack, and I look forward to taking it all over the world with me in the future.

This is the middle size of this series of backpack/duffel. I also own the carry on size of this bag. This bag is made with quality materials and stitching, as all mystery bags have. It would be nice if Altitude sports brought the other fabrics, like the 1000d cordura, but since only the wood wax was in stock I bought it.

Very versatile, for a longer trek, you can use the backpack straps, which are the most comfortable of all the backpack/duffel bags on the market. For a shorter trek, the briefcase style strap is pretty good, but could use a pad for the shoulder.

I like the slim profile. A feature not mentioned is that the load lifters can attach to the backpack panel, or to the top part of the main bag. But the possible weak point as another reviewer pointed out, is that the backpack straps are sewed onto the inner liner, rather than the tough fabric, so we’re not sure about the how much these parts can perform before the stitching comes.

Also, the measurements on the site seem to be off. It’s quite a bit larger than the carryon size. If they made the horseshoe opening sideways like a suitcase, and in different colors/fabrics, would buy again.

Initial impressions. I bought the wood wax color. The material looks and feels great. The bag was lighter than I imagined, which is nice. One thing to note is when the backpack straps are not deployed, they take up space from the two zippered pockets on the inside of the lid, just something to note.

And there is no great quick access pocket in the design. The top external pocket is probably the best one, but it’s a little too deep to grab something quickly. Using pouches might be a fix for this.

But overall, I’m happy with this purchase even though I have not used it for travel yet.

What a beautiful bag! The photos don’t do it justice – the detailed chevron pattern, the perfect leather trim with stitching; it’s been the perfect accessory to my professional attire. It was quickly apparent that it was made with great care, detail and quality materials just from a visual inspection.

It’s proven remarkably well when put to action too. The straps are comfortable on my shoulder and it fits my laptop, planner and accessories perfectly with room to spare. The extra pouch and different pockets are great for organizing your tech and keeping papers, planners, etc.

separate. There is adequate padding to protect your laptop which is very important to me. My two favorite things about this bag is that it has a protective layer to help keep clean – with it being white, I was worried but even with everyday use (sometimes on construction sites), it has remained bright white and clean! Then my second favorite thing is that it is incredibly well structured so it doesn’t lose it’s shape – no slouching no kinks or bends, except for maybe some slight shaping on the straps from unpacking.

I love this bag and will be buying matching accessories and luggage soon!.

This bag is great!! First of all, I LOVE how large it is. I’m the type of person who avoids checking a bag as much as humanly possible, so I always try to make sure my personal item is as large as possible.

The interior is basically a giant open space, with the exception of a zipper pocket to store small items. This works out really well for me since I can use my packing cubes to divide the space and make sure everything stays organized.

It also means that when the bag is not in use I can fold it up really small for storage, or I can fold it up in my luggage and bring it as an extra bag without sacrificing pack space. The bag itself feels sturdy without being bulky and is pretty timeless style-wise, so it will be cute for years to come.

There’s even a little sleeve on the back of the tote to slip over your luggage so you can roll it around the airport. Overall, I think this is a great, versatile bag!.

I love everything about this bag. It is very lightweight and easy to fold up and store somewhere. The outside has a Teflon costing so it stays in perfect condition and is easy to clean. When you put it on your arm it fits nicely under the nook of your armpit.

It comes with a lock as well and is specifically designed to fit with other luggage. The inside is a lovely color and is very spacious. I plan on using this on my flight in a few days. I’m not going to pack it completing full, so I can fit it under my seat on the airplane.

It’s classy, spacious, looks luxurious, easy to clean, store. What’s not to love?.

Great little bag. Rolled well through airport and 25 minute walk from train to hotel. Looks sleek and made well. Water resistant so wasn’t stressing about weather. Multiple grab handles make it easy to maneuver, but I was disappointed there’s no true top handle.

The closest handle is toward the front of the bag which makes it a little awkward when you just want to grab it quickly and carry for a short distance. The inside compression strap is offset which makes it impossible to reach once packed.

Also, I think the backpack strap compartment could use some design tweaking, seems like a waste of precious space. I’d also like somewhere to be able to attach a small backpack or purse while rolling through the airport.

I really struggled with whether to buy a 4wheel or 2wheel international carry-on size and I think I’m glad I opted for this 2wheel, but I’ve never used a 4wheel so maybe I just don’t know what I’m missing lol.

All-in-all this is a great little carry on wheeled bag/pack/suitcase. I highly recommend buying compression cubes for this small piece of luggage, made packing for a 5 day trip to Denver a breeze. Looking forward to getting more use out of it.

Looks awesome, material is great and it holds all of clothing/gear. However I am afraid to fill it up more than half way because while eagle creek did a great job everywhere on this bag- they installed extremely small and cheap back pack straps that will break if I fill this bag up.

I buy allot of gear and this is probably the cheapest job I’ve ever seen any manufacturer do on a strap. I have a $50 Nike duffel bag I bought from Academy that has way thicker and stronger straps and they have a much more comfortable, rubberized padding.

I bought this bag for the back pack feature- I pretty much wasted my money and time. If Eaglecreek sent me a bag with more comfortable straps that can be trusted, I would delete this review and delete any videos or reviews I plan on doing before sending this one back.

Eaglecreek did a great job everywhere else – the zippers are heavy duty and again- the space is phenomenal. The thin plastic clips paired with this little uncomfortable strap makes the entire bag unusable to me.

I would have paid more had the bag been equipment with stronger plastic or carbon/aluminum clips and better straps. My 5 year olds school back pack I paid $40 at Walmart for has more quality straps.

I truly loathe this bag. We got this because we lost our beloved wheeled duffle after 12 years and this looked similar. It is not. This thing is useless. We have it currently while traveling through Europe, and while wheeling, you must keep the wheels on a completely even surface or it will flip over.

It will twist your wrist with it, and you will have to drop it, turn it back over and proceed. Embarrassing and painful. Also, it doesn’t stand on end. It might for a second, and then it will fall over.

Try that in a crowded train station! We hate it so much and wish to return it. It needs a more rigid structure somehow to actually be a ‘wheeled’ duffel. As is, the wheels are not to be depended on except for very short stretches on completely even ground.

Even so much as lightly knocking into a wall is enough to flip the bag off the wheels.

My previous ski trip bag was just too small and loaded to 10 pounds UNDER the limit. I tried stuffing more in, and the seam started to split. It had external pockets – and who needs external pockets on a check-through bag?! The beauty of this new Eagle Creek duffle is (a) it’s the perfect size, not too large and not too small, (b) it has NO external pockets and so the zipper can lock EVERYTHING inside [using, of course, a TSA type combination lock], (c) it has straps to relieve stress on the seams when it’s fully stuffed, and (d) it’s very good looking!.

This is a great purchase for our daughter who commutes between the mainland and Hawaii. Lots of room for clothes and gear for activities spanning from snow to snorkeling. Would ukd purchase again!

I travel extensively and have had loads of cases trashed in transit. I got this bag to match the cabin one. This bag is roomy, quite light, easy to secure and the compression straps a great benefit. Done 3 long haul trips so far and its pretty much unmarked.

good value for product. it fit what i needed for a long ski weekend including helmet, goggles, jacket, snow pants etc. wish it had more pockets or compartments to separate small items. I did not use the “boots” compartment – will make duffel space limited.

the material feels sturdy but not very pliable which could be good or bad. overall good value especially compared to a patagonia black hole duffel of same size – almost $60-$90 more. The zippers are not as smooth or easy to close than other high end bags.

Really great bag. Sturdy material and heavy duty zippers. Keeps my ski boots and all my gear (helmet, goggles, gloves, masks, wrist guards, socks, extra clothes) all in one place. Inside material is a heavy tarp liner to things don’t leak through the bag.

It’s nice that the boots are in a separate compartment so other things don’t get dirty. I also like all the little touches like the mat included to change your shoes/boots and the backpack straps are handy.

It looks really stylish too =).

This is another outstanding Platinum Elite bag! I was thrilled when I received it and noted the high quality details and construction of the bag. As a frequent flier, coming up on Million Miler status, I owned a Platinum 5 tote bag for 10 years, which I replaced with the new Duffel, this week.

It is a perfect companion bag with my new 29 in Platinum Elite bag (see photos!) After purchasing the Platinum Elite Business Backpack in Vintage Grey, I was excited to add my next piece as I build up my collection. The Platinum Elite Carry-On Regional Duffle is perfect in so many ways.

While style is as important to me as function, I am so disappointed the only option for color is black. What? I am building my collection around the Elite line in Vintage Grey and I have to see this in black.

What are you thinking??? For this you only get four stars. Please add at least Vintage Grey!.

I LOVE this bag. This is my 3rd 5. 11 piece of luggage. They stand behind EVERY purchase and have unbelievable customer service. While this bag may be expensive you will not regret the investment; the quality and durability of this bag (like other 5.

11 bags) is 2nd to none. The lower portion is great for items that you may not need immediate access to; boots, tent, etc. The upper section is roomy, and easy to pack. No problem packing “one more thing” to this bag.

My only suggestion (also made by other reviewers) would be a telescoping handle for ease of movement. Once packed the bag is heavy ( it starts out at 19 lbs before you put anything in it). I am only 5’2″ and this bag is cumbersome to move once packed.

Let’s go 5. 11, retool this workhorse by adding a retractable handle to this bag.

Not quite as good as my 32 year old Australian Elite wheeled duffel; but it can fit one more FRC coverall, being several square inches larger. Despite the build quality, I really don’t expect this bag to last as long (or travel as many miles).

The top handle/straps (with the hook-and-loop) need to be a couple inches longer, a full pack makes it difficult to close the straps, and impossible to use as a carry handle. The wheels take up a lot of real estate inside the bag, but the ride stability is good.

Overall: happy with the purchase, price was good (20% discount helped), build quality looks good. Separated boot compartment would be great.

I like this bag because it is right at the standard airline checked luggage size limit. It is well constructed. Its only fault is the wheels are too close together. The bag becomes unstable and tippy on non flat ground like ramps, slopes, when crossing sidewalk cracks or doorway thresholds.

It will easily fall over on its side. The wheels should be farther apart at the sides of the bag.
