A perfect edition for collectors. The steelbook shares the same illustrations as the folded box from the trilogy box edition. The sleeve it’s not really a sleeve but a little box for keep the steelbook safe.

The best edition of the game if you only want the games and not the stuff that comes with the trilogy box edition.

I could pick Dark Souls back up and enjoy it all over again. Its frustrating and super hard at times. But for some reason you dont want to put the controller down. Lovely graphics and scenery. Excellent story and many different weapons and armor.

These games are 5/5 alone so having all three of them with dlc is really nice. You might as well buy this one than each one individually as its almost the same price, but this one comes with a steelbook.

Good game, good box, good price. Apparently, they are gamestop exclusive and they dont have it within 100 mile radius, well, they did, but in their generic case so its cool to get it here.

Dark souls 3 is an amazing take on the souls series and has compelling gameplay and an amazing story to back it, from my experience, it’s difficulty hits harder than the previous games as there are more enemies and the bosses take long to learn due to their random patterns.

I seriously recommend this game to anybody who has loved the first 2 dark souls games and anybody new, but if you want to ease yourself into the souls series, I seriously recommend Demon’s souls for the playstation 5 or the playstation 3 as (in my opinion) it is the easiest souls game there is.

To tell you the truth I haven’t played the game all that much yet. As someone that has played the first game in the series to an extent (I didn’t complete it okay don’t judge me), Dark Souls 3 has offered what I expected to find – enemies that through the learning of there attack patterns can be defeated (It certainly can be made easier with a proper guide ha ha).

One thing to note is the movement certainly feels more fluid than the first game. The game looks quite nice. The sound effects during battle were quite surprising to me at first but are something I can appreciate the existence of.

I don’t feel I’ve heard enough of the music to make a judgement on it yet. Quite a bit of my time was spent getting carried by friends that are frankly a bit too overpowered. If you’re looking for a challenge, I suggest not playing with people that have gear that is from the end game.

Unless of course you convince them to use bad gear ha ha. One last thing to note is to be careful of invaders. Sometimes they drop in and ruin your day.

I LOVE the exploration aspects of this game, and the areas are an awesome blend of Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne environments. Bosses have tricks to defeating them that encourage different gameplay tactics, making for very memorable battles.

Bosses all feel unique in my opinion, unlike some of the underwhelming or recycled bosses of Dark Souls 2. The graphics are great, the particle effects are gorgeous, movement feels a little smoother than previous Dark Souls games (more like Bloodborne).

I love this game lol Two tips for this game in particular: 1. If you’re fighting a boss and find you’re not doing diddly-squat for damage against them, they’re a boss you have to fight a certain way (hitting weak points, using specific weapon, etc) to take out large chunks of health.

Don’t just try whittling away at it the slow way or you’ll drive yourself mad. 2. While bosses feel a tinge easier than earlier games, some areas are just super hard *coughRoadofSacrificescough*. Sometimes it’s best to just run through the area as fast as you can to get to the next bonfire.

Don’t feel bad about it. If you get this game, hope you like it!.

Unforgiving RPG that makes you work to progress. It really reminds me of older arcade games that you had to learn as you got further and further understanding the movesets of the enemies and learning the bosses.

The game is very unforgiving, but also rewarding. The graphics are amazing and the multiplayer and co-op options are great. One thing you will need for this game is to git good.

Stellar game! This game was great when it came out and still is. There have been improvements with the other games of this universe but this one is still a classic. With challenges in every level the game gets only better.

So much fun to play! The game can be a bit tough but man is it worth it! It is easier if you play with someone, but even if you play solo it is so fun. It’s all about calculating your hits and learning their movements.

Timing and analytics is everything here. One of my too fav games.

I played this for a while, then went back to play an older Souls game and was shocked at how clunky the old games felt. It’s also amazing how everything was seamlessly improved to where it kept all the good from its predecessors and added an extra level of fluidity seamlessly.

I’m not a multiplayer on-line kind of player, but it is quite addicting playing against other players in this game. Heart-pounding-out-of-your-chest level of excitement. One of the best games ever made.

This game is so addictive! I spent so long trying to beat the first boss because I refused to give up! It’s such a fun and hard game that will definitely give you game rage, and then the after boss relax that just seems to wipe you out! I love it.

Dark Souls 2 is the weakest of the batch. The original creator was busy working on Bloodborne and the two original directors were not able to achieve the vision they wanted, causing setbacks and rewrites, ending in one of the two leaving the project and the other needing to finish it without specific direction.

Most of the environments look okay, but compared to the original they do not feel as fleshed out or interesting. The enemies are fine, but many of the bosses are terrible reskins of Dark Souls 1 bosses, or are simply larger versions of normal enemies.

From a texture and lighting standpoint, Dark Souls 2 is terrible, and needed significant patching before it was even acceptable. The Black Armor Edition includes a Steelbook case with raised artwork and places for two disks, so it can hold the soundtrack and game together.

It also comes with a Black Armor DLC voucher which has long since expired. The soundtrack is excellent, filled with hauntingly beautiful tracks. Overall, if you are a fan of Dark Souls titles, this is one to have purely for collection purposes; otherwise the Scholar of the First Sin edition is the more complete and enhanced version.

Now that the server issues are mostly solved, I figured I should take the time to make a real review for this game. I’ll try to keep this short, so I’ll just address a few key points: * Graphics * Controls * Gameplay Graphics: 8/10 The graphics in this game aren’t ground breaking.

They serve their purpose, but are also quite lacking in many places. This is not a game where you are meant to view a lot of things from close up, but some of the short cutscenes also force objects close to the camera, revealing the lazy texture work.

From Software had to cut back the graphics a lot before release in order to get a steady frame rate, and it shows. However, the game isn’t ugly, either, so it is not a chore to play. And because of the graphical cutbacks they did, the game does run at a mostly steady frame rate, with only a handful of small areas or effects causing the game to stutter.

Controls: 9/10 The controls right now, as of version 1. 03, are not as responsive or tight as they were in Dark Souls 1. If you try doing some things too rapidly, such as dropping your shield and then attacking, you may do a specific shield-raised attack if your weapon supports it.

On top of that, the forward-R1 move, which is now a shield break as opposed to a kick in Dark Souls 1, can be extremely difficult to trigger sometimes. Another issue is menu lag. Right now, it can take upwards of 5 seconds for the menu to appear when hitting Start, or for the Bonfire menu to appear, as well as some menus after talking to NPCs.

This is a very annoying bug, which should be fixed with a patch as soon as possible, as many have noticed and complained about this. These issues are likely to be fixed in patches, however, by fixing the input frame windows.

On the positive side, other minor changes have been made to the controls, such as allowing you to change the jump from the old “tap O while sprinting” method to clicking L3 while sprinting. This makes the game far easier to play from a control point of view.

Gameplay: 9. 5/10 A large portion of the game has stayed similar to Dark Souls 1. The combat is more slow paced compared to other action games. Tactical play is rewarded while blind rushing will probably get you killed.

The durability system for equipment has had a major overhaul, and weapons are now far more brittle, but now also have their durability restored at bonfires (if broken, you must repair them at the blacksmith).

This forces you to be more mindful of your weapons, change your gear more often so your equipment doesn’t break, and experiment more often. You also have six weapon slots instead of four, to help with this.

Covenants also had a major overhaul, bringing in some interesting new ones that rely on attacking people who enter certain locations, or helping people fight off invaders, as well as others. However, most of the PvP interaction happens in NG+, due to the limitations From Soft have put on players are paired together, to help combat ‘Twinking’ (where a low level player invades other low level players with end-game gear and ruins their day), which almost nullifies the point of one of the covenants (Way of the Blue).

Death is also punished in a way similar to Demon’s Souls, but not as severely. Every time you die, you lose 5% of your maximum health, until you eventually reach the minimum 50% HP. Apparently, this also lowers your connection to other players, making it harder to be invaded.

You also cannot summon other players to help you with bosses or areas, but you can still be summoned yourself. You can be revived by using a Human Effigy (similar to Humanity), or rarely/randomly by killing a boss when summoned by another player (this has been called a bug and will probably be patched, however).

Also, right from the start, you will be able to warp to any bonfire you have lit, unlike in Dark Souls 1, where you had to wait until at LEAST 2/3 of the way through the story. This helps to cut down on wasted time simply running aimlessly through the world, and while some people were sceptical about this change, many are glad it was made after they played the game.

You also now have the option to reallocate your stats through the use of an item found in game. This allows players to create a new PvP or PvE build without having to start over a completely new character, a great addition to the game for the PvP community, because it allows people to make a new build without having to play through the entire game with a new character.

Overall: 9/10 Right now, the game is in need of a patch to fix some of the more glaring issues, like the menu lag, and the control input windows. The game itself is great in my opinion, and the gameplay itself deserves a 10/10, but until the outlined issues are fixed, I have to give this game a rating of 9 out of 10.

Being one of the later players of the first Dark Souls there wasn’t quite enough time between them when Dark Souls II was released. I bought it, and after a couple of hours I put it on the shelf, so to speak.

Now after another year has passed I was finally ready to venture into the dark, depressing, difficult, but amazingly rewarding world of Dark Souls II. One of the biggest difference between the two is the bon-fires that allow you to quickly travel between areas.

This is a really nice improvement. The other major difference, I am not so fond of. In Dark Souls II when you die, you go Hollow. You get weaker, and you look really dead at least until you use a Human Effigy to restore your humanity.

These are not too easy to come by, not ridiculously impossible, but enough so that you have to spend good chunks of time in this state, and I hate it. I just don’t like being a rotten corpse, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.

You don’t get so weak that it is a major disadvantage that takes all the fun out of the game, it’s mostly the aesthetics that I don’t like. So I buy a helmet that covers my face first. Grinding is still the most important part of the game.

Going back to areas over and over again defeating the same enemies, leveling up and improving your fighting skills. You will do lots and lots of this. If you are like me, and this sounds fun you will love this game.

If you liked the first Dark Souls there is no reason not to love this game as it is really just a graphically improved continuation of the first in many ways, though definitely different enough to give the player a whole new experience.

This game is uncredibly boring due to bad design. First of all it is incredibly difficult, you die all the time and each time you die you have to wait for loading and then you resurrect at the last bonfire and you have to walk all the way back to where you died and try again, die again and lose another few minutes of loading and walking.

To make it short, after dying again and again I was so fed up and frustrated by the time loss every time you die that I gave up and put the game back in the shelf. A game has to be fun, not overly difficult abd frustrating.

There is nothing funny in trying to kill an enemy and die 50 times or more, difficulty should be progressive, not close to impossible. What’s the point to make a gorgeous game if you can’t get past the first few minutes of it without dying and having to repeat the same scene over and over again.

This game is for masochist people who like to spend the 24 hours of the day doing the same. Unplayable game, I wouldn’t try to play it again even if they jail me for life and all I had in my cell was a ps3 and this piece of crap.

I played bloodborne (PS4) and Dark Souls 1 (PC) before touching this one. Initially, I thought I would dislike this as Bloodborne has more modern graphics, mechanics, etc. However, as soon as I started playing, I was impressed by the georgeous gaphics and the all too familar Dark Souls game mechanics.

Certain things here and there has been “tweaked” compared to DS1, but overall it still plays and feels like a souls game. If you liked DS 1, you will love this. I have not played more than 2 hours as I am still trying to finish Dark Souls 1, then I will attempt the later ones.

I just purchased the trilogy accross platforms so that I can continue once I finish them. You do not have to play them in order but I prefer to play in order to enjoy the gameplay and graphics progression through each games.

DS1-DS2-DS3-Bloodborne are on my to do list.

Has always been a massive fan of the Diablo franchise. With the Diablo 3: Reaper of Soul Expension, you’d get more rewarding loots, making the whole gameplay more impactful. Love the addition of adventure mode as well, where you can complete bounties and unlock ‘Nephelem Rifts’.

Not all is sweet with this game though, as you’ll still need to be always online in order to play the game, even if you’d want to play as a single player. #diablo3 #reaperofsoul #blizzard #influenster #wsn_tt #pcgamer.

Love this games. I not a pro o game system but this game is fun and easy to play. Their are different leavles that you can play on so if you area pro or not you can have fun. Love how their is always something to do o the game.

This is the Collectors edition of the Diablo’s 3 first expansion “Reaper of Souls”. It includes the DVD of the Expansion, a DVD/BR with the making of, the soundtrack CD, a mouse pad, the Artbook and several In game goodies.

It’s not a cheap collector’s item itself because it’s an expansion for the Diablo 3 and requires the original game to be played, and compared to the original Diablo 3 Collector’s Box it misses the action figure.

But like I said, this is a item made for the Diablo fans and specially the art enthusiasts since the artbook it’s just awesome! Like the original Diablo 3 Collectors box, the quality of the box and the contents it’s great, and this expansion adds a lot of features besides the extra Act that will provide endless hours of fun! Recommended!.

Super hefty guide. Doesn’t miss a thing. Artwork is amazing inside. The hardback looks right at home on the bookshelf when I’m not using it. I love the Souls games and this only added to my love. It includes a massive amount of lore that the game doesn’t necessarily spell out for you.

Well, what do we have here? You must be a new arrival. Let me guess. Fate of the Undead, right? Well, you’re not the first. But there’s no salvation here… Actually there is great book!

Its the first guidebook iv ever bought, superb quality, very helpful and would definitely recommend to anyone whos going for the Platinum trophy or even if you want to find items you maybe missed before.

Will definitely be buying this type of guidebook again. 5/5.

I haven’t played a mainline Megami Tensei game before, only playing some of the Persona spin-off games. A word of warning, as other than the battle system and demons, SMT3 is not really like Persona.

SMT3 is very grim and has less story. I have 2 big gripes with this game – Negotiations with demons aren’t fun. Some have specific times in which they can be recruited, some won’t even bother with you, and some will take lots of money and items, only to bail on you because they don’t like the answer to the opinionated question you give them.

My other gripe is that it is difficult to understand where to go. The world map will have a building flash red if you can visit it, but as far as whether or not you NEED to go there isn’t always apparent.

I traversed through a difficult maze, only to get to the end and be told I didn’t have the items needed to proceed. I was not told where to go in the cutscenes, which usually do nothing but provide “mysterious” (boring) dialogue about how powerful you need to be for some “powerful” old man or kid that makes me question why it goes on for so long…It gets tiresome after a while.

I would have rather been told where to go in order to fight 2 bosses I needed to proceed. Simply put, for a remake like this, an objective marker would be nice. I don’t have much time in the week to play games anymore, so being reminded is always nice, as I can only play in short bursts on my days off (about 3 hours max.

) That said, if you like turn based RPGs and monster collecting games like Pokémon, (which the hardcore nerds of the series love to point out actually came after the Megami Tensei series, because they love to have a false sense of superiority…don’t go online and ask for help, as SMT3 fans are elitist snobs) you will most likely get something out of this game.

This is a good remaster of a classic game. I’m docking it one star for not having any preorder bonuses for the physical edition. The differences between this and the original are negligible, really. People are whining about the compressed soundtrack and the fact it’s running at 30fps instead of 60, but those are technical details that are really not important.

I haven’t noticed a difference and I have the original PS2 version as well. The main difference is the load times–there essentially are none on the Switch version. Dante from DMC is now a DLC character, and his place from the PS2 version is taken by Raidou Kuzunoha from the Devil Summoner spinoff series.

I think that’s a nice change of pace, and since I have the version with Dante in it (PS2), I’m not bothering to get the DLC package with Dante. Everything else is pretty much the same (okay they used a different font in the HD remaster, NBD), including the unholy difficulty level.

They threw in a ‘Merciful’ difficulty for this for those who just want to enjoy the story. Masochists and gluttons for punishment should play Hard mode. Only reason I’m not having issues on Normal is because I’ve played this game before.

If you have a working PS2, are not a rabid SMT fan, and have a copy of this for that, there’s no reason to run out and get it. Otherwise, this is a good RPG and worth the money they’re charging.

The original PS2 classic has been revived for the Switch and PS4. If you were a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei series, or it’s more well known spin-off franchise Persona, then you’ll be right at home with Nocturne.

The HD remaster features several new Quality of Life additions, easing up difficulty for new players or those just looking to experience the story. As well, DLC options give players the choice between the original US Release (the “Maniax” upgrade in Japan) that features Dante from Capcom’s Devil May Cry franchise as a guest cameo character and party member, or Raidou Kuzunoha from Atlus’ own Devil Summoner games, who replaced Dante in a subsequent re-release of the game in Japan.

Very happy with this purchase, good value for the game as I am a longtime fan of the franchise. Came as quickly as it could over the Christmas and New year’s break. No damage to disc or case and was all sealed and brand new.

The DLC that is included is difficult but worth the value and for a last gem co sole game the graphics are definitely up to scratch.

for myself the thickness of the strings allows you to feel the string also being light gauge they are not as tight and sharp when pressing down to play a chord or note with good all round sound with deep base and good high end with sustain well it is on my guitar a Rathbone number 2 full wooden guitar.

Doch gerade jetzt bei dem Hype um das kürzlich erschienene Dark Souls 3 habe ich mich dann doch entschieden, das Spiel zu kaufen. Und was soll ich sagen: Es macht mega viel Spaß und auch bei knapp über 100 Toden bei 20 Spielstunden bin ich noch motiviert weiter zu machen.

Bis jetzt gab es bei mir nur eine Handvoll Gegner und Situationen, die mich demotiviert haben. Doch mein Tipp: Das Spiel beenden und erst ein bis ein Paar Tage später wieder weiterspielen, dann ist auch das kein Problem.

Das Level System ist prima gelungen: Man spürt jeden neuen Skillpunkt des Charakters beim Spielen! Für alle Anfänger, die wie ich auch am Anfang verunsichert sind: Schaut euch Dark Souls Tipps und Tricks an!.

Good expansion to a great base game. Adds new bits of everything plus traps ect. This is a must! Opens the base game up in a big way. The original games lifespan isn’t great so this and the other expansion is needed.

This expansion fulfills its role. It introduces new classes, new enemies, new dungeons, and new mechanics while remaining loyal to the core game (which has lackluster designs in art and gameplay). If you like the core game, you will like this expansion.

Fleshes out the base game and adds variety.

Had a lot of fun finally experiencing this game as I recently got a PS5. The graphical update from the original makes this the best looking Souls game out there right now. Performance wise it’s a huge step up and uses the PS5’s hardware well.

If you’re looking for a 1 to 1 remake of the original then I highly recommend this if you’re a fan of the series to check it out. However for me personally it being 1 to 1 from the original is a little disappointing.

There’s not much in terms of new content and game difficulty felt artificial in quite a few parts of the game. By that I mean the original level design with no changes being in the remake hampers the experience for me.

Certain levels in the game forces you to make your way through a lot of enemies just to get back to the level boss if you die. The run back is usually very long due to no additional checkpoints being added in that weren’t in the original and running past enemies usually leads to frustrating deaths as you try to get back to where you were previously.

With all that being said I still really enjoyed my time with playing the game. My playthrough took around 30 hours as I was drawn with exploring to find most of the items/loot the game has to offer.

Having gotten the platinum trophy for this game (been playing it non-stop since launch!), I can safely say that BluePoint Games did this game justice by bringing it to life in an updated, modern interpretation of the original game.

Some fans of the original might be upset over some artistic differences in this remake vs the original (for ex: fat official character models being vastly different from an artistic style point of view, the ui’s design/theme not being close enough to the original, etc).

But in my opinion, as someone who has played this game countless times back in the PS3 (at 720p/30fps) and has waited years for Sony to finally remake this game, walking around the Nexus and stepping into Boletarian Palace in 4k/60fps just made this joke of a year we know as 2020 immediately so much better.

That’s not to say that the artistic differences fans have an issue with are not valid, in fact I share some of those complaints, but fact of the matter is, I’m just so happy this remake even exists – and the fact that it’s so good is even better.

So many quality of life updates were made to this game (for ex: instantly sending items to storage when at full inventory, omnidirectional rolling while locked onto enemies/bosses – so more freedom of movement, etc.

). Now these might seem like nothing or trivial to those who haven’t played the original, but trust me when I say that having these updates are absolutely life-changing. If you’re a fan of OG Demon’s Souls, you’ll love this remake.

If this is your first time playing Demon’s Souls, then I’d easily recommend that this is the version you want to play. Demon’s Souls on PS3 hasn’t exactly aged well, unless you choose to run it on PC with a PS3 emulator with mods downloaded.

This remake brings the game up to modern standards (remaking all the old, outdated stuff) while basically keeping everything else in the game the same (for ex: enemy and boss attack patterns, quest lines for the most part are the same with a few exceptions, etc).

If you have experience with Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Sekiro then you should kind of know what to expect going into Demon’s Souls for the first time (for ex: Sekiro’s dragonrot mechanic is kind of a callback to the world/character tendency that this game has).

However, if you’re a fresh PS5 owner and you thought to yourself ‘I’ve never played a game like this but might as well get this game along with Miles Morales’, then the only advice I can give you is be patient.

You will die to this game. Quite a lot depending on how fast you adapt to enemies. But it’s all about the journey to the end with games like this. Give it a solid try and a fair go. As the almighty company EA once said, ‘The intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment’.

If you’re up for a rewarding challenge for your PS5 then look no further than this gem. On the technical side of things, the massively improved visual fidelity and especially performance from the 2009 original game makes this a perfect showing of what’s hopefully in-store for the PS5 going forward.

While visuals and audio aren’t a perfect replica of the original and will surely be divisive for the hardcore fans of the original, it’s incredibly impressive and engrossing to behold in-person and is surely a benchmark experience for the console crowd.

The fluidity of combat in performance mode and lack of any lengthy loading makes it that much easier to recover from any death you may encounter. And you will die. The developer Bluepoint has made sure to make little change to the original title’s general gameplay, meaning that the deliberate combat will see you dying, grinding, learning and eventually succeeding the challenge that it provides.

Figuring out how enemies, bosses, and even some of the game’s upgrade paths and mechanics work are all apart of the rewarding design, providing a learning curve very similar to classic arcade games or titles such as the Resident Evil series.

The more you play, the more makes sense and the more you can excel and appreciate about how it’s thoroughly the game is designed and interconnected. If you can weather the challenge and steel yourself to the horrors of the decaying Boletaria then you’ll be treated to a great sense of accomplishment that’s hard to find elsewhere.

And with a myriad of different ways to approach the game, the amount of secrets and goodies that you will surely miss on a first go through, and the increasing difficulty of its New Game+ modes, there is a lot of value to be had if you are willing to spend time with the game and experiment.

Even with one playthrough however, it’s more than meaty enough to not feel underwhelming thanks to its classical design philosophies. Out of any PS5 launch title I think I would recommend this one the most out of a gameplay/value perspective, but I feel it will also be leaving the strongest impression on players as the 9th generation of consoles soldiers on.

I preordered this game and it arrived 2 days early. Lucky me! Or is it “lucky me”. I first created a character for the mission mode (and was happy I did when that character later was in the story (and that fight crosses over into the mission mode.

you’ll see if you play it. I was excited for the story mode as I thought they had made it more in depth than in the last few games. Sadly it was a whole 20 fights and was very short and had so many cutscenes that would have been better if they weren’t just still images and voices.

I liked these games more when each character had a storyline you could play through. I’ve played every game in the series since soul edge so I know what the series is capable of providing. I then tried mission mode and at first really enjoyed it, until near the end.

the levels get to be just frustrating and at times the ai is just nuts and you don’t stand a chance (this isn’t often but is so annoying) and the level “the journeys end” is beyond annoying and rather than being a challenge just feels cheap and a killer of all fun.

I have a level 58 character and maxed out level with my weapon style of choice and will win 2 rounds then get just demolished for the final 3 rounds and by demolished I mean getting a few hits in or get them close to no health and then have them take me from 80% health to 0 in a heart beat.

When I fought Tira in the mission I figured after I beat her I’d unlock her! WRONG! If you want to play as the character they have included already as an opponent? Well you’ll have to pay for the season pass to unlock this character, unlock not download.

This character is in the game, we shouldn’t need to pay more for content included in the disc. I then tried arcade and it was fun, but I wish the scoring was based on more than the time it took to beat 8 fighters.

To get gold on normal I believe you need to beat 8 in under 7 minutes? Ir maybe 7. And that’s 8 fights with a minimum of 3 rounds in each. Do no matter how many soul charge supers I used to finish a round or how many perfects I had my score wasn’t impacted.

I really wanted to give this game a higher score because the fighting is as slick as ever if not better. But short story, mission mode crazy ness, and characters already in the game that need paid dlc to play as just killed it for me.

If you love Soul Calibur 1 and 2 then you will love this one. This is almost like a reboot as it starts from the beginning of the timeline and explores different stories through 2 different campaigns and does the best job of all the games in telling the whole story.

The art style and music are excellent and harks back to the golden days of the series. In one campaign you create a custom character to go on an RPG-like adventure (upgrade character, weapons, get loot, do missions + side quests, etc.

). The other campaign is a straight forward story mode with cut scenes where you play as the main cast. Both modes’ timelines intertwine and they both offer you many different perspectives. The fighting is excellent and the changes are welcome, feeling more like the older games with a sprinkle of more strategy involved.

The only downside is the story of the season pass. It should not even exist IMO at least right now as it is confusing. First, it’s not in the Collector’s Edition which makes it not seem worth it but to me it was either way and I’m happy with the roster due to the amount of content and customization available.

Second, the pass doesn’t include that much content in it. Third, the first available DLC character from the pass is already in the game as a villain. That last one is probably the worst part. I’d recommend getting the collector’s edition or the standard edition and waiting for the season pass to drop in price and for all the content to release (black friday may also be a good time).

After a good half day of knocking on the fighting engine, it feels good. I felt the high point was SC2, 3 and 4 were good but, lacked something. While I 100% completed SC1 and SC2, I fell out of playing 3 and 4 after a few hours.

This doesn’t feel quite as difficult to recommend. The gameplay runs well, the controls are tight, and the match load times aren’t bad. The basic additions to the game include the reverse edge mechanics and a gage mechanic.

In my limited game play against the AI, I don’t find it overpowering nor cheap. The game play looks good, provides a nice clash mechanic, and I like it. The visuals are quick to parse and provide the relative info about the attack type.

Lightning effects or Fire effects indicate specific attack types. The bad includes a troubling tendency to slice a fighting game into pieces and reselling it a character at a time. Day 1 DLC has no real place in the market and should be abolished.

Tira was a built in character in 3 on and they only cut her to make for a pre-order/season pass bonus. In short, a good fighting game marred by marketing and with some interesting additions to a solid fighting system.

I was one of the few people who had never played a game in the souls series, so when I picked this up I was not sure what to expect. All I can say is it’s very enjoyable but has a steep learning curve.

You can’t just go in flailing around as you might in other hack and slash titles. You need to concentrate and learn the nuisance of it’s unique gameplay. You have to learn the patterns of enemies and how to combat them.

I could easily see how some might find this game extremely difficult and frustrating, but it’s certainly not for everyone. This game is made for hard core gamers. DO NOT play this if you are looking for a more casual experience.

Still, as hard as it is sometimes I find myself drawn into it’s charm and world. I am still learning the ins and outs of it’s gameplay / buttons / style but I think the more I play the more I enjoy it.

The main perk of this game on the Switch is that it is portable (and of course on Nintendo) but the drawback here is that it’s not very optimized. Compared to the other systems (PC / Consoles) it definitely has a graphically downgrade and the FPS just isn’t very stable at many places.

This has caused me to dislike the game more than I normally would. Now don’t get me wrong, if you only have a Nintendo Switch and want to try out Dark Souls or have it portable, then by all means I think it’s worth getting.

But if you have access to buy it on another platform, then I feel you will find it more enjoyable due to how they didn’t optimize this port properly.

Only purchase Dark Souls: Remastered on the Switch if you use your console in portable mode. If you like to play with it docked, and also own a PS4 or Xbox One, purchase those versions instead as the graphics are significantly better on the other platforms.

That said, I move my switch around the house and play it in handheld mode, as it is easier to get gaming time in with a toddler. This version is slightly improved compared to the original on PS3, with all of the DLC and extra content.

Dark Souls is an amazing game. This one nailed the level design and open world feel. Everything flows naturally and as you grow your character, you really feel like your world grows as well. The Switch version runs fine, nothing to write home about.

It’s really nice to be able to play this on the go, but putting the game into standby mode didn’t always pause it for me. If you want a challenge and play your Switch on the go, this is a must have. Lots of replayability with new game +.

I sunk over 60 hours into my first run (well, second, as I played it on the PS3 too), and was going to play again if I didn’t have new games to play from the holiday rush.

The dual sport 2 equipped is, at first, fantastic. Beautiful in its design with hidden pannier rack supports, built in rear light (on / off, no other function) and the different shapes of aluminium tubes make the frame a really lovely thing to behold.

It is seriously let down though by cost cutting and lack of thought. Firstly the front light. It fell off after riding it home – despite checking all was solid as I left. The replacement light and fitting fared no better with the light falling out after half a mile.

I managed to find that one though but the very, very cheap and nasty design makes the usb charged light, with only two modes (shiny / not so shiny), practically useless. The light coverage is very poor, I thought I had been transported back to 1992 and the need to squint as you ride along.

The other major issue is the frame. What you see here is the medium and above. The small frame has a huge kink in the top tube, which is not mentioned when you order it, so small folk can use it BUT this makes fitting a water bottle or D lock completely and utterly impossible.

This is lazy and unforgiveable, which is a huge shame as the bike is lovely and is a great ride. If you don’t want the issue light and want to use your own, although the built in light fitting will need removing, and as long as you don’t intend to fit a water bottle or D lock it’ll do but this could have been so much better.

Personally, I wanted to love this, but I can’t.

Hi all. I’d like to tell you about my new Trek DS2 First off, there is a load of snobbishness in many bike reviews I have read… as far as I am concerned the DS 2 is not an Entry Level, Budget or first bike…….

I am never going to be a pro cyclist but, what I am is a regular dude that is sick of tubes and trains and a few years ago decided to ‘get into’ cycling on the ‘Danger of Death Streets’ that are London….

So I went from my first bike, a nice armchair like Dawes so what I am told was a aggressive road bike – a Cannondale – don’t ask, not a great idea…. To the DS 2 Enough rambling. I ordered on line and Evans delivered to me just one day late from their anticipated delivery date.

A large brown box appeared on Friday morning and the DS 2 was here. All in pretty easy enough to order – bit miffed about paying delivery charges and zero incentives like a fiver off vouchers. but I paid up and took my chances.

So out of the Box The bike was very well packed up and had lots of bubble wrap and stuff around the frame. In theory, all I had to do was bolt of the pedals, tighten up the handlebars and I was good to go.

There was a very handy little multi tool of allen keys and a pedal spanner included. Alas not that easy. I opted for the equipped model which came with mud guards, kick stand and lights – not dynamo powered as I have seen on other websites by the way.

First off, mudguards were put on too tightly. There is no mention of them in the Evans manual you get with an on-line bike so just check them out. The front derailer was put on at a very very odd angle meaning that out of the box I could only select the lowest gears but a bit of fiddling and a few you-tube vids later I more or less got is sorted out.

I have been trying to call my local Evans shop for four days for some help but I can never get through. There were a few different fittings for the lights none of which worked, so I am reverting to my old set of Cats Eyes In my experience the lesson here is do not buy on line.

I’d never spend £675 again this way. The Ride All aside from what I completely blame on Evans putting pounds over service. I think my DS2 is amazing. What I love. Comfortable ride, great disc brakes, brilliant gear range – eventually and the front suspension is amazing.

I ride to work via canal tow paths so suspension is a great idea! I am not a super fit bloke!!! But I can maintain 14 – 15 MPH on my DS2. I totally trust the bike in traffic too which is blessed relief when riding into central London.

Ignore what you read about entry level, beginners hybrid and all the other stiff on bike websites. The DS2 is a strong well-made bit of kit which I can highly recommend. I would certainly recommend it but in person sale not on line! Happy cycling and ride safe.

Chose this Dual Sport to replace a much-loved hybrid I’d modified myself for riding to work, with mudguards, pannier etc. They’d served me well, but this factory fitted equipment is just that bit more robust.

The kickstand for instance has direct attachment to the frame, and the mudguards are well made, with supports firmly integrated. It also comes with lights, and Evans Cycles had it all set it up ready for collection, so essentially all I added was a bell (and in my case, a simple adaptor to use an existing MTX-type bag with the pannier frame) and I was up and running immediately.

The front suspension has enough travel to take the edge off potholed roads and mixed surfaces, so all in all this had everything I was looking for, off the shelf. Rides well, with smooth gear changes and disc brakes for wet conditions.

A choice of colour would have been ideal, but this metallic grey is smart and well-finished in line with the overall quality feel of the bike. An excellent all-rounder, very pleased!.
