20 Best Dryer Brush For Fine Hair (2023 Updated)

I so wanted this to be as fabulous as the demonstrated videos I watched on FB. Apparently the promoter’s so called “fine” hair is not so fine after all. I used all the same products she used and my hair came out with slight volume that went totally flat within 15 minutes.

I had the cheaper version of this volumizing drying brush by “R” and it worked just the same and I returned it to purchase this one because of all the reviews on this product. I gave it a 3 stars rather than a zero because if you want straight hair, this tool will do the job so not a total loss but its a definite no to volume that will last if you have fine hair.

I made a huge purchase for the black Friday deals. I was so excited when the box arrived. I washed my hair using the products I just purchased. I used all the products that were recommended for fine hair to thicken and add volume.

The volumizer product just squirts liquid no foam no matter how long I shook it. The other products did nothing for my hair. All the products I use by “K**ra” work far better than these. Can’t return any thing because they had this small print stating because of this sale no items are returnable.

So buyer beware. If you want to try their products, I suggest reading all the print before you purchase so you can return if it doesn’t work for you. I’ll have to try and sell them to try and recoup some of my money.

I’m new to L’ange, but took the plunge and ordered this 75mm brush. I have always used a round brush and blow dryer, or a cheap electric stying brush, with decent results, so I wasn’t expecting too much of a difference.

I have long, thin, fine hair that only holds volume for about 30 minutes no matter if I use product or not. When my order arrived, very timely, I will say, I was super impressed with the beautiful packaging and immediately gave the volume brush a shot.

My hair was towel dried damp, not dripping. Brush has different bristles than any I have had before – sturdy, but no pulling or tangling, glides through hair easily. This is a noticeable and valuable feature, especially for someone who wishes to keep the hair she has! Brush heats up faster than a gas stove and has several heat settings.

The airflow is strong as well. This brush is big and oval shaped, not round. Adds beautiful, smooth volume, but not tight or defined curl, so it depends on what you are after. I like the oval shape as it let’s me get that bit of poof at the crown of my head.

My hair dried soft, smooth, ends slightly turned under, crown/top of head had just enough body and volume. I used a bit of hairspray and was extremely surprised that I still had “poof” several hours later.

I love this brush and I am so happy I decided to give L’ange a try!.

I purchased in-store because my friend had the Revlon version. She’s got pin straight shoulder length hair though, and I really didn’t trust it. I go to DryBar usually once a week, and the styles will last about 4 days with dry shampoo.

I usually only wash my hair once a week, so it’s something that works for me. I have hard water at home and the salon water makes my hair feel soft and refreshed. My scalp has been increasing its dandruff production with summer though, and I’ve needed to wash 2x week now.

The problem is I’ve never been able to recreate the blowout look at home, and I can’t afford 2 blowouts a week. My hair is naturally curly, and I can style it just fine for curls, but I get really hot with my curls (I work in the medical field so I’m in surgical gown, scrubs, masks, face shield, and a really hot overhead light).

I’ve seen curly heads prefer this one to Revlon, and a girl at DryBar even told me it’s because the Revlon isn’t meant for wet hair, but this brush actually is. She said for the Revlon, I’d have to blow dry, straighten, then use it.

I’m the type of person, if I’m going to spend money on something I’d rather buy “the best” than buy the knockoff and eventually end up buying the better one. Also, this is a round circle brush compared to the Revlon oval and the DryBar oval double shot.

I’ve never used either, this is my 1st dryer brush. I showered, used my DryBar liquid glass shampoo/conditioner because it smoothes my thick cuticles well. A lot of reviews/YouTubers said to not use it on dripping hair.

I did what they typically do at DryBar. I wrung out my hair before twisting it in a microfiber towel. I tied the towel and my hair with a hair tie for about 10 minutes. It was damp but not dripping at all, I was honestly worried it was a little too dry.

I sprayed prep rally detangle/heat protection spray and brushed it with a Tangle Teazer wet brush, sorry AND the drybar heat protection/quick dry serum. I probably could have just done the quick dry serum(2 pumps) but I didn’t think about it until after the spray.

With the quick dry serum and a normal blow dryer, it takes me 40 minutes to dry. Without the serum, we’re looking at an hour. My hair is thick, curly, and to my mid back when straight/styled. A lot of people said to section your hair like you’re curling or straightening it.

Just WOW. I critiqued some YouTubers for flipping their hair different ways, at DryBar they blow dry it one direction (like you would curling/straightening), and it gives a nice half curl/flip at the ends.

I don’t think this brush could do that with my hair specifically. It probably would give nice curls/flip for shorter or straight hair. It would dry large sections 3-5inches across in about a minute. I HAD to use the brush both directions to dry the hair completely.

I noticed my ends would dry before my roots, so I started letting it rest at the roots before dragging it down to the ends. It WILL get caught/stuck on your ends if you try to curl it too far up on the shaft.

I could only flip it at the ends, and this I think is due to how the barrel is round/smaller than the double shot. So with sections, curling it both directions, I eventually turned my head upside down and used it like a hair brush to get my slightly damp scalp dry.

It did the trick! I had my whole head straight & voluminous after just 20 minutes. It had a slight curl on the ends but not what it gave a lot of straight/shorter hair. I sprayed DryBar hot toddy on my hair, heat protection but not a wet spray, dry like hairspray before I went over it with a 2″ barrel curling iron from Kristin Ess.

I notice that a 2″ curling iron gives more of blowout curls than a wand. (I use a Paul Mitchell 1″ flat iron, Paul Mitchell 1″ wand or 1. 25″ Kristen Ess wand to do tighter curls depending on what type of curl I want.

) I wanted more of a body wave than full curls. Did a full blowout and everything in 40 minutes! It looks amazing! For long curly hair, I think you won’t get an immediate blowout from this, and I wanted to rate it 4 stars for myself, but it just got my hair dry so fast I don’t think it deserves anything less than 5 stars.

My hair was smooth and glossy too! The brush DID NOT snag my hair like a YouTuber said it did her hair. I do wonder at how to clean the hair out of it over time though. It’s just a few strands, but the bristles are course and hold onto it pretty good.

I definitely recommend just trying to pull out what you can after each use. I’m THRILLED with being able to get great results on my 1st use. There’s usually a learning curve.

Just replaced my L’ange dryer brush with this DryBar model (my old one had lost most of its bristles after years of use). The Single Shot far exceeded my expectations after only one use. I’m loving the results from the round shape, as opposed to the oval of my previous dryer, as it helps with volume and gives my hair a slight bend that I previously needed an iron to achieve.

My L’ange would get so hot I couldn’t touch my hair for a minute after a couple of passes. It also made my bathroom hotter, and I’d have to let it cool like a curling iron if I was packing for travel.

This DryBar dryer dried my hair faster, never made my hair too hot to touch, my bathroom was noticeably cooler, and the dryer was cool enough to store immediately after use. The DryBar gave my hair body, shine, and the appearance I could only previously achieve with drying and ironing.

So cutting out a step is definitely a pro. For reference: my hair is medium/long in length, fairly fine, and I wear extensions. The resistance is perfect. Enough to achieve the result I was looking for, while being kind to my extensions.

If I was forced to complain about this dryer, it would only be that the handle is slick plastic (the L’ange has a more rubbery silicone handle that is a bit easier to hang on to) so it’s a bit slippery, and it’s taking a minute to figure out the right place to hold on to it.

But for the other wonderful benefits, the handle is definitely not a deal breaker. I’ve only used it once, so time will tell how it holds up. but so far, I’m completely in love. If the price tag is holding you back, Ulta offers Afterpay to take some of the sting out of the higher price.

Get this dryer brush, you won’t be sorry.

This dryer took me a couple tries to find the best way to use it on my hair, but now that I’ve got a routine, it’s the best looking blowouts I’ve ever done at home. I’ve been using this for about 6 months now, and the biggest thing I’ve learned is that you should NOT use it on very wet hair.

If you squeeze a lock and water drips off, it is too soon to start drying. I use an Aquis wrap right out of the shower, which stays on at least 10 minutes, and then remove that and blot any additional water out with a dry t-shirt.

The best products I’ve used with this dryer are the Olaplex No. 6 leave-in cream and the No. 7 bonding oil. I use a blueberry-sized dollop of No. 6 and 5 or 6 drops of No. 7, rub those together in my hands, then work through my hair, starting from the ends.

I brush my hair through and let it air dry maybe another 10 minutes or so while I do other things to get ready. I give such a detailed description just to show that depending on how long your hair retains water, you should give it a healthy amount of time to air dry before using this dryer.

This has probably been good for my hair anyways, since it’s easier to damage the more wet it still is. I have maybe 2B-2C curls naturally, but I’m able to dry my hair straight just using this. It is the SOFTEST my hair has ever felt, and better than any blowout I’ve done at home with a dryer and a roundbrush.

I’ve seen people complain about it being heavy/their arms getting tired, but I don’t think it’s any different than a standard blow dryer in terms of weight. This is the only dryer I use on my hair now.

As a hairstylist, I’ve been seeing guests over the last two years come in with extremely heat damaged hair from the revlon one step quarantine purchase. Almost all have been in love with the ease of styling but the damage wasn’t worth it.

I knew there must be a better option that wasn’t a $500 dyson. So I blind bought this to try myself and GOOD GOD IS IT A SAVIOR! I have very dense, coarse 2c hair thanks to my very European mom and Filipino dad.

PRO TIPS FROM A PRO: -make sure your hair is 60-70% hair dried or blow dried before you use this tool. -for the love of all that is holy, USE A HEAT PROTECTANT -section your hair and start from the bottom! -brush your subsection before using the dry brush to prevent extra tension that could cause breakage -make sure to dry eAch side of your subsections and slowly glide the dryer brush starting at the root -cry with joy because it only took you 15mins to dry your whole head of hair and it actually stays smooth.

-throw away your revlon and never look back ~LAST BUT NOT LEAST! Use a little eyelash wand(clean old mascara wand, or maybe the spooly end of your dead to you Anastasia eyebrow pencil, heck even just ask a lovely employee at Sephora if you can have one!) and CLEAN the air intake screens on the bottom of the brush weekly! You will be surprised how quickly dust and product buildup will clog the screen!~ You’re so welcome.

ve been using volumizing blowout brushes for several years now. I’ve used Revlon’s, Hot Tools (my favorite), Drybar (my least favorite and retuned), Dyson’s (don’t even get me started) and now I’ve been using Amika’s for several weeks now.

I’d like to give it a higher rating because there are some important Pros. First, it does feel lighter to. This is huge for me because I have fibromyalgia and a lot of neck and shoulder pain. The lighter weight, while not hugely lighter, is a plus for me.

Another pro is that I think it switches from high heat to lower heat better than any others, although, I wouldn’t call it a cool temperature but it does cool down a little faster to lock-in the shape.

The biggest Pro is that I feel that the far-infrared heat seems to dry my hair faster than any others. I’ve found that using far-infrared technology is a huge PRO. Now for the cons: It feels more difficult to use because unlike the other brands, there’s nothing to hold onto at the top of the brush, which is especially important when trying to over direct the roots for volume.

Another HUGE con and something ALL volumizing blowout brushes lack, including Amika’s, is the use of much higher quality bristles. The bristles should real boar bristles. The cheap bristles being used bend and become misshapen which defeats the purpose.

Also, the bristles are spaced too far apart which splits the hair shaft and leaves marks in the hair, especially at the roots. All of these blowout tools have this issue, including this one which, is too bad because Amika could have really differentiated themselves from their competitors by really rethinking the types, quality, and spacing of the bristles.

Amika tried to differentiate their blowout brush by using far-infrared technology, but, unfortunately that’s not enough. For those of us who truly want lasting volume , we cannot get it with these types of bristles or the spacing of them because there’s just not enough tension to truly over direct the roots.

And again, because of the spacing, it splits the shaft and leaves marks in the hair or unwanted part lines. That lacks it’s true ability to provide a “salon†quality blowout one can achieve with a good boar bristle round brush and blow dryer.

Another con is, it’s lacking a cold-shot button to lock in the style. Again, Amika could have really set theirs apart by being more innovative. In fact, had these cons been considered during their design phase, with a large user group, including experienced stylists, Amika could have introduced something phenomenal and, at even a much higher price point.

In short, based on my opinion of the cons, I really cannot say there’s enough functional or meaningful differences between Amika’s or any of the Helen of Troy versions. They really are all so remarkably similar that I’m disappointed that Amika couldn’t have thought about a more original and innovative design with much higher quality bristles and features.

I wonder if highly qualified stylists or end-users are even consulted during the design process. Whoever can accommodate and accomplish adding my list of cons to their design will blow away ALL the knock-offs and competition.

I really wish the designers would take this type of feedback much more seriously. Most consumers would pay a much higher price point for a better type of tool that is truly revolutionary, not just another model of the basically same thing that’s already been in the marketplace by Helen of Troy for some time now.

I would love to be involved with the design process in the future.

Gifted by Amika but the love is all mine. The brush is exactly what it sounds like: a round brush and blow dryer hybrid. There are several reason I am loving this brush. First, its large size and oval shape helps create volume at the top allowing you to create voluminous waves.

Second, its tourmaline-coated barrel emits negative ions and far-infrared technology to get rid of that frizz. Third, the tool features a variety of bristle sizes to help smooth, detangle, and prevent damage.

It also has three heat settings, including cooling, so you’ve got options. If you’ve never used a tool like this before give yourself some time to learn how to use it. It does take a little practice.

The attachments for this brush that are available take it from a good hair tool to a great one, I really love that I can make it into a straightening blowout, curling blowout, diffuser, and hair dryer in one.

So much better than the revlon one step and its siblings, much lower heat for less damage, and cheaper! I have fine, long, wavy hair that I struggle to get body into. I typically will use this brush on the lowest heat setting on everyday use, while for fancier days I will use it with high heat and velcro rollers.

For a curled look, I reccomend using the smaller brush that you can buy separately, using tension on each piece of hair, and then roll into a velcro roller. If you do this around your head, it gives some really nice body and wave to your hair.

I also have wavy hair, and I have used the diffuser successfully in the past. The only qualms I have with this is that the power of the air coming from it isn’t super high, so it can take a long time to dry as a hairdryer, I think of it more as a hair tool for once my hair is almost dry.

The most glaring issue is that the black paint flakes off, as I’m sure some reviewers have noted. It’s not a deal breaker for me but might be for you! Overall this makes me feel like I own a Dyson air wrap for a lot lot less, and I love using it since I hate using actual hot tools that can burn me.

I used my new ConAir “The Knot Dr. ” blowdryer just last night and was “Blown Away” by its amazingness! You see what I did there?? 🙂 But seriously, this is a wonderful new addition to my hair care regimen and a very effective blow dryer.

My intention was to straighten my toddler’s curly hair for easy styling – which is typically a major fight – and this did not disappoint in making it a much easier process. The dryer is a good compact size which makes for easy handling, and the soft bristles helped to create a “no-cry” experience for the little one and me! The 3 air settings are just enough heat/cooling to dry but not damage the hair, and it creates an easy glide through the hair.

The only shortfall is that the handle is a bit wide and may be difficult to grasp at the right angle. Also, it would have been nice if the cord was a bit longer. I had to add an extension cord for across the room use, but that’s a small thing compared to the benefits this dryer provides.

I’m considering buying one for my niece too! Thanks for such a great product ConAir!.

I can’t say enough great things about this! I have long and thick hair that always seems to stay tangled. I let it air dry and rarely style it because within a couple hours it’s too tangled and I have to brush out the styling anyways.

I never blow dry it because that just creates more tangles for me. I bought the on a whim thinking it may be easier on my hair on the rare occasion that I do style it. I am absolutely blown away by the results! It doesn’t spin and so it doesn’t snag my hair.

The brush absolutely tackles all of my tangles with ease. I do let my hair air dry as much as possible before use to cut down on the time spent drying it. It leaves my hair silky smooth and the tangles don’t return so I can actually count on keeping the style all day.

In fact, my hair stays smooth and tangle free for a few days! I saw many reviews mentioning that the dryer is weak and/or not hot enough, but for me it actually gets very hot and dries my long thick hair in no time – I really wouldn’t want it to be any more powerful.

I highly recommend this product, especially for anyone that is fighting tangles non stop!.

I loved this blow dry brush! This was my first time ever using one. I used about 5-6 passes per section of hair and my hair came out smooth and shiny. The only issue I had was using the on and off switch i had to make sure my hands were cleaned off with any products from my heat protector.

I wish it had buttons instead. Other than that I loved how simple it is to use to achieve the beautiful bouncy blowout I created. I got so many “Is that your real hair?” Questions.

Love the Dry Bar blow-dryer brush! Makes drying my hair easier using one tool instead of two! Love that I can get silky waves without having to use a curling iron!!! The styling brush with its rotating brush head and heat makes styling so much easier. When using a thermal protectant on your hair and styling with this, I end up totally smooth and silky hair. This particular brush came with two different size of ones.

However, the sizing can be a little disillusioning as far as the results. Since my hair is short, I need an even smaller brush, because this one does not allow me to add any curls or waves. But it does give a good lift and a beautiful finish.

I just wish they would make this with an even smaller wand, then it would be absolutely perfect! If you have medium or longer hair, you will not be disappointed in any way. However, this does not dry your hair.

It is not made to do that. Your hair should be about half dry to use this or slightly more.

I have a bob and all the other hair dryer brushes had such big barrels. I liked the idea this had a large and small barrel and said it was good to use with a bob. The small barrel was perfect and I tried it on my dry hair and it gave me the bounce I want.

My hair dresser told me to wash my hair every 5-6 days and I use this sometimes if needed in between. It worked great with wet hair, and gave me a sleek shiny look to my hairstyle. I love that the barrel rotates and it is lightweight.

I am in my 70’s and if I can use it anybody can. You can teach an old dog new tricks. You can’t go wrong getting this product!.

I’m a hairstylist and I always give my clients blow outs but it’s incredibly time consuming to do on myself , not anymore! This product is absolutely amazing! Literally gives the same exact results as a salon blow out and even has a cool shot button! I highly recommend!.

I am not someone who enjoys the process of getting “presentable”. I just want to look reasonably put together without standing in front of the mirror for an hour. I would only blow dry my hair when I had to get fancy, and even then, I would just roughly blow dry my hair upside down, then finish with a small hot air brush.

It didn’t look great, but it was fine. I bought this thing on whim after watching a YouTube review and I’m in looooove. It’s chonky, but it’s really light, which is awesome, because my muscles get fatigued quickly and using a regular dryer and brush was kind of exhausting by the end.

I have long, fine, straight hair and I just work in 3rds from the bottom up, and all my hair is fully dry, super straight, and shockingly smooth in less than 20 minutes. Maybe way less, I haven’t actually timed it.

It gets hot enough to dry my hair fast AF, but not enough to make my head sweaty or hurt my scalp when I’m at the roots because of the bristle length. (Don’t get me wrong, the barrel will definitely burn your finger a lil bit if your hand slips, but that’s just hot tools in general.

) This thing is a game changer for me. Maybe even a HG. Yeah, it is. I love it. My only concern is with maintenance/cleaning. I use the tail of a comb to pull off the loose hairs around the barrel after each use, but I noticed that the little nubby short bristles seem to have some product buildup where they come out of the barrel.

I’m not sure if that will affect performance long term or if there’s anything I can do about it, but maybe CS can answer that? Anyway, if you’re on the fence, get this, it’s the best.

I loved this tool. Then it randomly stopped working. Was outside of the year warranty and the company said there was nothing they could do other than offer me 25% discount code for a new purchase. To clarify I bought this tool Nov 30, 2021 and it stopped working Jan 4, 2022.

So I had it for a year 1 month and 5 days when it stopped working- NOT grossly outside the warranty. I could understand them saying no if had been 2 years but I was barely over warranty. For the price, I just don’t think it’s worth it.

There are cheaper alternatives on the market with similar specs to this. I can’t speak to performance pf other brands blowout brushes, but my cheap af target straightener lasted me like 5 years before crapping out.

I am gentle with my tools- I actually kept the box and always stored it in there. Unless you can buy this on sale I don’t recommend at this price, especially cause you very well may be needing to repurchase a replacement in a year or less.

Additionally I really think they delete negative reviews. When I google this tool it has less stars but when I click on reviews here the lowest I see is four stars. This is my HONEST review- did I love the results of this product? Yes it is easy to use and offers a great blowout, but be wary on it’s shelf life.

It may be worth it to check out another brand instead. I’m off to try the Revlon– if I wind up thinking INH is better I will come back and eat my words. Also there is a learning curve with blowout brushes for newbs.

My advice- only use on damp or almost dry hair- not sopping wet. Do your hair in small sections- believe me you’ll save time in the long run. And if you want more volume hold the brush vertically as you twist the barrel and horizontally out beside your head.

If that doesn’t make sense lookup Audrey Victoria on youtube or IG. She has a video using the Revlon blowout brush but they work the same way. Once I followed those tips my results were flawless.

The brush is okay. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a hairdresser but the cord isn’t it honey. Too short and it tangles as you rotate the brush. It’s also really hard to handle the brush because of how thick it is.

I was afraid of it falling out of my hand and into the toilet. You need tension to have a good smooth blowout. The brush is too wide and spaced out to get a good grip on the hair. My hair was falling off the sides as I rotated the brush.

I hate having to continuously stop turn the knob to cool, wait for it to actually cool down, and smooth the cuticle. It’s way to time consuming. I had to pass over a section multiple times to try and smooth the hair.

I thought a blowout brush would make my life easier. But it was more time consuming than doing a blowout with a round brush and dryer. Oh and my hair got sucked into the bottom of the brush where the fan sits.

Obviously I’m a hairdresser and am knit picking everything little thing. But it’s my money and I know what I want in a product. It’s a blow dryer and a brush combined. It shouldn’t be this difficult.

I am in shock. I have tried nearly every type of hair styling devices imaginable, even that old rotating hairbrush used in conjunction with a traditional dryer. I always resorted back to a round brush and hair dryer.

Ive honestly gotten so good with blowouts over the years that I rarely needed to add in a flat iron finish. The past few years I stopped straightening and went back to my naturally curly 3a style, only busting out the blow dryer once or twice a year.

From wet to straight, shoulder length, would take me about an hour to blowout given its coarseness and density. This Revlon dryer kept popping up, and I finally decided to try it, fully expecting to return it.

I thought it might cut down my hair styling time by five or ten minutes, which isnt really worth the investment, in my opinion. I was so, so wrong. I wasnt ready for a wash, so I decided to just wet a single strand to see how it worked.

It came out nice, straight and shiny–great. But, a single strand proves little. Out of curiosity, I decided to try it on a dry strand of hair. My hair was stretched smooth at the roots from air drying in a tight wrap but pretty curly/wavy at the ends.

Normally if I attempted to use a blow dryer and round brush on my naturally air dried hair, I would expect to get considerable frizz, denting, and strange lumpy/rigid bits. I cant even use a flat iron on my air-dried hair for the same reasons.

It is really stubborn unless styled from wet. I picked a nice fat chunk of dry hair, because I didnt come to play. I applied the Revlon dryer, and in seconds, the strand went from poofy to sleek. I felt a strange sort of veneration after this.

I pulled out my phone to time myself. I still expected it would take me 20-30 minutes to get my entire head done, and that I might struggle with smoothing out the more unruly bits. This is the honest to God truth.

It took less than ten minutes. I stood petting my sleek hair, mouth agape, for another ten minutes, just to run out the timer, you.

SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS PRODUCT!! I have naturally curly hair and have spent thousands of dollars over years buying not only shampoos & conditioners, serums, oils, sprays, etc. to help stop frizz after straightening my hair, but also $$$ on hair dryers, brushes and straighteners.

Not to mention the HOURS upon hours over years spent painstakingly drying then straightening my hair only to find it frizzing up within hours, even under dry ambient conditions. I couldn’t believe using this magical Air Brush allows me to dry and COMPLETELY STRAIGHTEN my hair and in a few minutes – I’m talking like *6-7 MINUTES*.

And my straightener has been retired under the sink. I haven’t used it since I got this Air Brush. Granted I don’t quite get the volume I was expecting, but it’s more volume than I ended up with after using a straightener.

A tip for those with curly hair: once finished drying my hair, I take the front pieces that surround my face, place the dryer on top of the hair, slowly brush straight down, on my scalp from forehead to ends.

Frizz and baby hairs are STRAIGHT. REVLON: Only 2 reasons this is getting only 4 out of 5 stars: the cord isn’t long enough and the ‘cool’ setting isn’t so cool. If you make this exact product but with the cord longer and the ‘cool’ setting actually cool, I’ll buy a second unit and rate it again, next time with 5 stars.

I never knew how other women can maneuver both a brush and a hairdryer at the same time. Maybe it’s a simple task for most people, but it’s never been easy for me. That’s why I needed this product. I think it’s an ingenious invention! I have very fine hair that tangles easily, so brushing repeatedly while drying is a must to prevent it from drying up into a big tangle.

I will say, this device is quite bigger than expected and rather heavy however, once you get used to maneuvering it, it’s really very intuitive. Just hold out/onto sections of your hair and brush from top to bottom, repeatedly.

It helps to separate the hair in layers, too. This device gets the job done fairly quickly with minimal tangling. A final note of caution: The high mode gets surprisingly hot… I’d say it’s closer to the heat level of a hair straightener than a blow dryer.

So be very careful not to touch the brush part OR the upper handle with your fingers while it’s on high heat. Keep your grip on the lower handle. I am very satisfied with this product and plan to continue using it exclusively…goodbye, blow dryer!.

I just purchased this this week from Nordstrom and I really had no idea if I was going to like it or if it would do everything it claims to do, and I purchased it specifically from Nordstrom because I knew if I had a problem and wasn’t happy that Nordstrom likes to make sure their customers are happy and I’d be able to return it.

The first couple of minutes I was thinking to myself that this isn’t going to work and it’s probably going back but within 5 minutes I was hooked and I was finished with my hair in 20 and it ABSOLUTELY looked like I’d just had a blowout at the salon! I have thick, coarse and wavy hair and for years I’ve had to use a flat iron if I wanted to wear my hair down and I’d get so hot doing my hair that the bottom layer would be damp by the time I was done from sweating so I spent a lot of time with my hair wrapped up in a loose bun.

But I’m not lying when I tell you that I just watched one video on how to use it and my hair looked beautiful. It was full and flipped up and under at the ends and I did take a picture but I’ll have to add one later because I look so horrible in the photo outside of my hair:) I can promise you you’ll love this and never go back to the blow dryer and flat iron! I rarely review anything I’ve bought online, I’ve maybe reviewed 3 items total but I just had to post this because I relied heavily on the reviews I read before I purchased this so I wanted to help out anyone trying to decide.

Especially since it’s a fairly expensive purchase at least in my opinion, but it’s well worth it especially being on sale right now. And you can buy it elsewhere and get a few hair products with it but personally I’d rather have the Nordstrom return policy then I would a few hair products!!.

I use this brush after my hair is completely air dry, instead of a flatiron which I have used for years. I waited a couple months to review this product just to make sure I was getting consistent results.

The best and most surprising part is that my hair texture has changed dramatically. It’s so much softer to touch, it’s shiny, and it’s easy to style. My hair has always been naturally dry, it’s also prone to frizz.

The only way I’ve been able to tame it in the past is using expensive hydrating masks each week, then leave in conditioner and flat ironing it out. (Blow drying never worked for me because it would take hours, kill my arms, and give me too much volume).

I love the fact that I’m no longer damaging my hair and that it takes me 10-15 mins to style. I still can’t get it super straight partly because I’ve never been good at regular blow drying, and also because my hair is thick, as in I have a ton of it, and I don’t have that much time/patience to spend on my hair.

Still, I am happy with the way it looks (definitely more polished than just air dry) but so much softer than flatiron. I also have highlights all over so you’d think my hair is a mess. It’s actually healthy and it’s gotten at least 50% healthier just by using this brush instead of a flatiron.

My hair looks like it did when I was a kid. Thanks to all of the reviews here who helped encourage me to buy this product. It wasn’t something I wanted to invest in initially because it’s expensive, but bit the bullet and so glad I did.

My hair is certainly not easy to tame (dry, thick, wavy and curly in places) so if it works for my hair it will probably work for most people. It’s a complete game changer for me, I can say that with 100% confidence.

I used the Revlon version of this hot tool for 2 years and loved it. When it was time for a new blow dry brush I decided to “upgrade” to the Dry Bar as I am a big fan of many of their products. let me tell you I am SHOCKED at my experience.

Not only is the price way too high for almost zero difference from it’s competition, this tool randomly stopped working after 2 months of use. I only ever use my blow dry brush twice a week and I always store it properly.

A week after it didn’t turn on, I decided to try one more time to see if maybe it was a bad outlet or something. I plugged the brush in, turned it on and immediately saw a glowing red orb within the brush.

The handle got burning hot INSTANTLY and the brush began smoking, this happened within SECONDS of me twisting the handle to turn it on. It nearly combusted into flames in my hand. I have no idea how such a poorly-made, dangerous product made it’s way onto the market, especially by a brand like Dry Bar.

I’ve read way too many other reviews about dangerously defective brushes, this item should be pulled until Dry Bar can fix the issues this tool clearly has!.

I have fine, thin hair a few cowlicks. My hair wants to go it’s own way and do it’s own thing pretty often! I’ve often thought that if I could get it dried in the right place and direction that it would have a little memory to stay there.

I am not so great with a blow dryer and brush and just couldn’t get myself to get better at it. But this little gem takes care of it all in one! This has made it so easy to keep my hair from going to haywire.

I personally prefer the smaller brush attachment to address the shorter hair on the top of my head and around my face. I sometimes use the flat brush attachment if I want to dry my hair straight, instead of leaving my natural waves in there.

This is great. It’s so nice to have it all in one dryer. You get a 4 in 1 dryer. I like that I can use one hot air brush with all these different attachments. I use the curling one the most. I have played with them all and they are great.

Its light weight and so easy to attach the others to it. I like the volume my hair gets from it. You even get gloves with it. They are very durable. The attachments are made from good quality materials.

this heats quick and i like that. the cord rotates so you dont have to worry about the cord rolling up on you. This is dryer brush is well worth the money. I’m just amazed at this. This comes boxed so nice you can give as a gift.

I have very long and fine hair with a natural wave that frizzes out when left to dry “as is”, so after letting my hair dry half way I use one squirt of a heat protectant serum in my hair than brush my hair in sections using the heat setting (which is quite gentle and nowhere near as forceful as a normal hair dryer).

This allows me to coax my natural wave out or dry to a smooth finish. This tool is both gentle on your hair and highly effective (and rather fool proof). Highly recommend.

I’ve had this product for about 6 years and I use it frequently. I purchased it long before the recent craze of air brushes because I love the 90s blow out style but I’ve never been able to do it with a regular dryer and brush.

I have really been enjoying my new hairdryer brush! I have been wanting a product like this for a long time, but I was worried that it would just be a pointless gimmick. This definitely isn’t! It is really convenient because it allows me to brush and dry my hair at the same time with one device, rather than having to use a hair dryer in one hand and a hairbrush in the other.

It’s really strong (goes through my really thick hair with no issues) but is not too hot that it is uncomfortable or painful. I also like how you can use it to dry, straighten, or curl your hair. So far I’ve only used it to straighten my hair, but I’ve experimented with curling the edges of my hair a bit and it looks really nice and styled.

The customer service is also great: the product arrived in two days in great condition, and shortly after I got an email from the owner letting me know they care about my purchase and that they are there for whatever I may need.

I love this hair dryer! This is the best hairdryer brush Ive tried! I tried the L’ange, hot tools, revlon, and now this! Both my mom and I vote this as a clear winner and I have thin, fine hair while my mom has thick, course hair.

Here’s why this one stands above the rest. 1. ) the bristles The bristles on this brush are longer than any other we have seen or tried. The longer bristles hold your hair better and make styling even easier.

2. ) how well it dries This is not the hottest brush out there but it’s the perfect temperature. I have used several different types of blow dryers and flat irons over the last ten years. This is by far my favorite. It is a straightening dryer that actually works amazing. Love only doing one step.

The buttons are on the bottom which make it easier to adjust while I’m use. It doesn’t have plastic teeth so they can’t fall out so there won’t be replacement parts needed. Price point is great – I hope it lasts a long time.

I am so glad I bought this brush to replace an older one I have been using for a few years. I have very long, wavy hair. It is very thick and takes a long time to dry and style. This brush is easy to hold.

It is not too heavy. It dries and styles pretty much at the same time. It saves me so much time on getting my hair done. It dries my hair a lot faster than the expensive blow dryer I have been using as well.

I love this brush. I would buy it again.

Lightweight and so easy to use. I have extra wavy hair and straighten my hair daily with a flat iron. This has saved me lots of time since I dry and straightener together. My hair feels soft and looks like a professional blowout, I’m impressed.

I got this for Christmas last year. I wanted something to help smooth and style my frizzy wavy hair as well as style my bangs. I was not going to spend a small fortune on the dyson one so this was a much cheaper option.

I like to use it once my hair is 90% air dry and then use it to style my hair and smooth it out. Otherwise if you use it straight out of the shower with soaked wet hair it will take you 45 mins to dry.

I would recommend blow drying your hair with a normal blow dryer until your hair is 90% dry and then use the knot dr to finish styling it. I love the brush that came with it. It detangles my hair straight out of the shower.

I have used the knot dr to curl my ends, curl my bangs either rounded or flipped out. I also like the cool setting for sealing the curl in after heating it. I would recommend this product to anyone who has knotted, tangled, frizzy hair and wants a styler to use to smoothen hair dry.

I still need to use a flat iron after using the knot dr. But overall it helps smooth out the waves and frizziness in my natural hair. I also got it when it was on sale at Costco and it was only $40, compared to it being $70 on Amazon.

I took a photo of my hair blow dried with the knot dr on the one side and air dried naturally on the other to show the difference. It’s subtle but still a difference none the less.

When I received word from Influenster that I was selected for the Conair Infiniti Pro by the Knot Dr. Dryer Brush campaign, I was excited. I quickly Googled the product and learned that it sold for about $40 and was thankful to be receiving one for testing purposes.

I already owned a similar product by Revlon and was curious to see how they compared. Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to like the Conair product very much and my suspicions were confirmed upon trying it and realizing that I don’t like it – I LOVE it! The Conair Infiniti Pro dryer brush dries hair, styles it, and detangles it with wet brush bristles.

With my Revlon dryer brush, I have to comb my hair out first and I usually let it dry a little in order for it to spend less time with heat on it. In full disclosure, I don’t often use heat on my hair because I know it isn’t healthy for it.

When I’ve used my Revlon dryer brush in the past, I’ve often used it on the cool or low setting. The Conair Infiniti Pro dryer brush also has a cool setting which I’m thankful for. I tried it on different settings over a period of days in order to provide a full review of how it works.

When I used it on the high heat setting, it was almost completely dried and styled in about 10 minutes. I typically use this flat iron after the dryer brush to smooth out a few sections of hair. My hair is naturally curly and very thick so it takes some effort to make it meet my styling preferences.

In addition to the Conair Infiniti Pro dryer brush containing a wet brush, a feature not available with the Revlon version, it is also $20 less than the Revlon version. Although I like my Revlon version and have owned it longer, I found myself using my Conair Infiniti Pro dryer brush more frequently because the added wet brush feature saves me a bit of time and overall, seems to dry my hair faster.

I really enjoy the lightweight nature of the Knot Dr. by Conair. It’s very light easy to use. It’s a perfect size for shorter to medium length hairdo’s as the brush is smaller than many other models.

The brush itself has harder bristles interspersed with softer bristles to allow for brushing w/o getting your hair stuck. My hair is thick was able to glide through w/o any issues detangle. What’s really cool unique about the Knot Dr.

is that it is an all-in-one dryer brush. You’re able to remove the brush for both easy storage once removed it turns into a hair dryer of sorts. While it doesn’t have the power of a hair dryer, it’s perfect to remove excess moisture before styling.

Because of its multi function it would be a perfect tool for when you are traveling. The barrel of the brush is made with tourmaline ceramic, allowing for smooth silky hair a healthy polished look. You are able to choose low or high heat or cool if you worry about damaging your hair with heat.

There is also a “cool shot” button which is supposed to help “set” your look, but I’m not entirely sure how to use it at this point! There is a booklet with basic instructions which also includes a website which goes more in-depth about how to obtain certain hairstyles using this brush.

My personal feelings are generally positive with a few caveats. I was able to shorten my routine significantly using this brush. Whereas I can spend well over an hour both drying then either straightening or curling my hair, I can use this after I jump out of the shower my hair is completely dried blown out in 15-20 min tops.

I have thick unruly hair but this helps to tame smooth away the flyaways frizz. I did feel that the brush is a little flimsy overall. For instance I wouldn’t want to drop it on the floor as the plastic feels a little cheap.

I also disliked the brush handle. I felt it needed something to grip or needed to be less wide to allow for more comfort stability when handling. Despite these few things it is a nice brush that does exactly what it promises to do for a reasonable price.

My hair is long, extremely coarse, frizzy, and wavy but with this brush dryer it only took me 15 minutes to tame my hair after coming out of the shower. I used the brush dryer after I towel-dried my hair right after my shower and this was the result I got.

I usually use a curling iron after blow drying my hair straight but this brush enabled me to give my hair a little curl at the ends and quite a nice lift of body and fullness at the top :). I used all three temps — first high, then medium, and then low to lock in the curl.

The tip of the brush was not hot so I could actually hold it to twirl the brush a little. Leave the brush in longer at the root and pull hair through brush lifting upwards to get the body and fullness at the roots.

The only product I used on my hair is argan oil before I start drying it and I usually use it again after drying my hair to give it shine but I did not use it this time after drying.

First, the handle is incredible: super ergonomic! It has a matte sort of coating on it that makes it “grippy” but not rubbery. Then, the geometrical design of the handle means that your fingers can naturally grip onto these sides.

And, the tapering nature of the handle makes the wide end fit nice in your palm. You can really tell that a lot of thought was invested in the design of this brush. The barrel is nice and big. Likewise, the bristles are low.

Both of these allow for quick work without tangle. Since I have long hair, these brushes require a lot of finesse. However, this one is super easy to use to straighten my hair. And, it is light enough that I can hold this in one hand and a blow-dryer in another.

I already had the Ouidad wide-tooth shower detangling comb but I purchased this for comparison. They’re practically the same comb but with few subtle differences. The Ouidad comb feels thicker and heavier which makes it feel sturdier.

The teeth are also more tapered on the Ouidad comb and there’s something about the material that makes it glide through my hair easier than the /kit’ۢsch/ comb. It still gets the job done though.

This is like the one your hair stylists uses that by laying eyes on it for half two seconds you know she paid a pretty penny for it. It it lightweight but has a weight to it that gives you wonderful control of it.

Its got a silicon or velevety type feel to the handle. The bristles are strong to create the sleek look you’re most likely going for, but theyre gentle enough to bend if needed so it does bot cause excess breakage.

I try to limit what my daughters put in and do to thier hair, I actually approve of this round brush for when i do my daughter’s blow outs. It honestly feels like it had the gentle strength needed to work in my baby’s hair for years to come.

As cheesy as this may sound. i have the urge to say this is Mom approved! lol its an excellent great looking and useful brush.

I have been looking for a hair tool that could give the effect of a round brush blow dry without the hassle of a round brush and hair dryer. This one is it! It has replaced my hair dryer round brush now.

I have naturally straight hair and it’s very difficult to get a decent amount of volume in my hair without using hot rollers, Velcro rollers, and additionally styling time. This brush does it all- dries my hair quickly and gives me volume all at once.

I’m able to get loose big waves with this blow dry brush, and will occasionally go in afterwards with a curling iron to touch up a few pieces if necessary. It is also super light weight which is a plus.

Highly recommend trying this, its a great price point and works tremendously.

I have fine, limp hair, in a bob cut just above the shoulders and never really tried to style it as I felt awkward with a brush and drier. This brush changed everything! I had searched for ages and wanted one with a switch on the handle, so glad i did, to switch down to cool as soon as it’s too hot.

It is so easy to use. I found for more of a lift, I briefly dry my hair, flipping my hair forward with a normal dryer first on the roots to speed up drying time and lift the roots. Then spray with root volumizer, and sectioned my hair with top part tied up, working from the bottom up.

I lift the brush up, and hold it closer to the roots to get more volume. I get comments of how sleek my hair is. It’s a game changer for me. :-).

I bought this when my $300 Drybar hairdryer died after a year of having it. I lost my receipt and even though I purchased it under my Sephora account they weren’t able to find it in their system. This blow dry brush gives decent volume, and with my heat protectant, gives me a sleek look every time.

The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because no matter how hard I try, I can’t really get it to style like the pictures online/on the box. It could just be my hair type. Idk. But great product ☺️.
