20 Best Dry White Wine For Drinking (2023 Updated)

I love, love the Pinot Grigio! However, the packaging was a mess! They ship in corrugated boxes with hard styrofoam inserts. When the shipment arrived the styrofoam had broken down. The wine was still ok.

just covered in bits of styrofoam that had static cling and made a huge mess. Pieces of foam were everywhere. I have ordered wine from other vineyards and it has always arrived in molded pulp inserts.

sort of like a super strong egg carton. I wish Fitvine would look into that. Protects the wine just as well as the styrofoam, is recyclable and best of all no MESS, The wine is great but there are other great wines out there that I can order without having to deal with a styrofoam mess!.

OOPS!! One bottle was wet and the top just spins and spins. Not sure it will be good if I ever get it open. ???? Please advise and send another one. Pinot Grigio

It’s a great wine. My husband drinks the white and I often add red or white wine to my recipes. I drink the red occasionally but am not a frequent wine drinker. We like having a nice wine in the house.

The lower sugar content is important for anyone that is being careful with prediabetes.

If you like traditional California sauvignons, you’ll like this. It’s a bit tangy and tart. It’s nothing to impress anyone with nor offend them. I’ve never been a fan of California style sauvignons. They’re not smooth to me.

They have too much bite for me. But if you do like them, BAREFOOT will not disappoint at it’s price point. To me Barefoot products will always be ok for those used to traditional California wines. I buy this product a couple of times in the summer, I put it on ice and go do some yardwork:):):) any extra is great for cooking.

California Sauvigmon Blanc is just not my favorite. You can always trust Barefoot products will be decent, I really like their reds the best though.

Let’s be real about wine and pricing. If it tastes good to you, nothing else matters. Barefoot has been a bargain wine forever, and their Sauvignon Blanc is a light sipper when you want a casual drink and it’s not a special occasion.

The other great thing is Sauvignon is a low carb/sugar wine, so if you’re limiting these for your current lifestyle, Barefoot’s Sauvignon is a decent choice. Just beware that even dry alcohol still has calories!.

I buy this regularly. I think the manufacturer must know how popular it is because they dont make it available in the 1. 5L bigger bottle to force you to buy more. Thats my theory anyway. This sauvignon blanc is very dry and has definite zing of tartness or sourness.

You may not like it if youre looking for a round, warm feel on the tongue because it veers towards sharpness. Tastes very good on its own or with seafood, sushi.

These are so cute and tasty! I bought a few of them to add into some gift baskets during the holidays and was thinking that since they were so cheap, they would be taste alright. I decided to try one and I was actually pretty impressed! They are now a staple in my gift baskets as well as my fridge.

I think I found my new favorite cheap wine. It’s the perfect mix of bitter and sweet. I paid $6 for this box and it’s the same amount as 3 glasses of wine. I prefer this brand over the others because it’s also higher in percentage than the others.

This wine is semi sweet. The Pinot Grigio dry white wine that has a punchy acidity with flavors of lemons, limes, green apple. If you love tarty taste wine this right up your alley.

The nose is simple but pleasant, and the overall aroma slightly too much “sweet & sour”. Probably the weakest attribute is a hint of bubbles. I actually shake it vigorously an hour before drinking to get rid of the residual CO2.

Because of its sweetness this 2019 Riesling is not a wine for any serious seafood, except perhaps garlic and butter shrimp. However, it goes very nicely with spicy dishes or almost any cheese, for example.

It’s also a pleasant aperitif, with nuts. In my detailed evaluation I scored it at 2. 7 stars, and the relatively low price makes it a bargain, although there are two or three better choices at under $10.

I give this five stars because it is a good white wine for the price, reliable, and it’s easy to find for those reasons. There is nothing significant about this Chardonnay that stands out to me. But it paid well with orange juice in place of champagne, for a nicely rounded mimosa.

We have sommeliers in the family, and surprisingly they were the ones who introduced me to the idea. Champagne can cause a lot of people headaches/migraines, and is also obviously carbonated. Mixing this wine (great price) with some orange juice, papaya juice, or my personal favorite- the Orange Peach Mango Juice from Trader Joe’s.

We have it on Christmas, and since there’s no carbonation, we can eat a lot more yummy food! I recommend this wine and give it five stars for that reason.

Basic, simple Riesling. Slight hint of citrus, a touch of minerality, tiny bit of sweetness, not overly dry. For the price, it’s comparable to other mass produced Rieslings. I think it’s better than the “two buck chuck” wine options, but if you’re looking for a authentic Riesling, you’d be better off going with a German wine along the same price point.

Best Value all round. Period. Full Stop. Everybody loves this wine, even non-wine drinkers. It’s clean, refreshing, uplifting. Its so consistent. Try it once and you will be hooked!

I used to buy this as a gift because I knew it was well-known and people would appreciate it but I never tried it myself until last week. I cannot believe I’d never bought it for myself before. It is the best Pinot Grigio I have ever had.

i’m quite partial to a white wine some times. when having a glass it has to be sweet tasting and full of flavour. this is both. it is also a very affordable product making it a good purchase which i would recommend.

it comes also as a multipack of individual sized bottles for those who want them on the go or don’t want to open a full bottle. it’s light and fruity without being. acidic or hard to drink.

It’s SB, not distinctive, not very full flavored. Easy to drink. I can get better for less. Attractive packaging, I could bring it to a friend’s house, and they probably wouldn’t realize I was being frugal.

Paired this with seafood and it was refreshing! Great price too! Also went with our surf and turf theme. It is like biting into an apple , you get that crisp feeling except i believe there was a pear taste in here.

Not dry, it was perfect for my family. my mother doesn’t drink wine and she loved this! It is not too sweet either, i can’t stand sweet wine.

Very nice flavors; enjoyable alone or with cheese and fruit. Look forward to sipping more of this when the weather turns warmer but also during the winter as a nice change from pinot noir and when eating fish or chicken.

The product is fine but TW poses a half bottle as the same size picture as its 750 ml bottles. The price of two half bottles is astronomical compared to the price of one full size bottle. A rip-off for a half bottle with no recourse if you thought you were getting a full bottle talking with the Brookhaven manager.

Bought this on Sunday. Opened on Monday after it chilled overnight in the fridge. Tastes great! But by Monday evening the bottom of the box was soggy and my fridge shelf was damp. I put a glass dish underneath, thinking it must have just spilled a bit while getting a glass? However, Tuesday I woke up to the container filled with wine and half the bag drained.

Somehow this leaked almost the entire contents, despite being unable to find a hole in the bag and the faucet-like spout showed no signs of leaking either. So disappointing. A box can’t last the same time as 4 bottles of wine if it dumps out 2 of those bottles all over your fridge with no rhyme or reason.

The Rosé bota box that I tried before this did not leak. Perhaps a manufacturing flaw with this variety. Either way, super bummed. Would not recommend buying it unless you’re ok with losing most of the contents to your fridge shelves/looking for an excuse to deep clean your fridge.

I HAVE DRANK PINOT GRIGIO FOR YEARS. WHAT IS HAPPINING? I RETURNED 3 BOX’S TO TOTAL WINES, ONE TO PUBLIX AND ONE TO WHOLE FOODS. PINOT GRIGIO IS ALWAYS ALMOST CLEAR! I love this one but… The box leaks. I just open my brand new box an hour ago and then I went back for my second glass and the entire box leaked into the drawer in my refrigerator there’s no holes in the bag there’s no tears in the box I don’t know what happened.

When I saw that bota box was making a low-carb wine I thought wow I can finally have it all, the universe said otherwise. if anyone has a fix or a way to prevent this from happening again let me know.

This is a very good example of the “fume” style of sauvignon blanc. It is a very dry white wine with lot’s of body and the “smokiness” characteristic of fume blanc. Best of all, it is reasonably priced.

I paid around $12 per bottle after the case discount, which, given the quality of the wine, is very good (most other Dry Creek whites are $20+ per bottle). It will pair well with fish or chicken, and is also good with appetizers like pate.

I prefer a drier Souv Blanc with little or no oak essence. Dry Creek checks those boxes for me. I find it to be refreshing and silky, smooth on the pallet. If you’re looking for a sweet finish Souv Blanc, skip this one, it’s more Dry (Creek)!.

For me, Sauvigion Blanc is the best of the whites. I find most Chardonay’s more sweet than dry. Even most Pinot Grigio’s are sweeter than I like. Dry Creek’s Fume Blanc is a good tasting, dry Sauvigion Blanc at a reasonable price point.

First sip and I was in love. I was nervous on some of the reviews of bad hangovers. I’m a light weight so I decided to drink this with ease at first lol. Taste just like moscato should in my opinion of being a frequent wine drinker.

Half way through the bottle I told my husband I was so confused on the bad reviews for this wine brand. It’s a good wine and the whole bottle did give me a good buzz, not drunk. My husband said the bad reviews are the people who are too rich to walk into Walmart so they settle for target because they ran out of their $300 bottle of Pinot lol.

Needless to say, I finished the entire bottle in one night, got a good buzz, I never get hangovers drinking wine which this wine didn’t fail me. I woke up feeling great! Definitely buying again.

I enjoy wine, and I enjoy good affordable wines. California Roots is a surprisingly good brand of wines. I’ve tried almost all they have to offer, but my favorite is this Pinot Grigio. I’ve noticed other reviews calling this wine “too sweet”.

I wholeheartedly disagree, it’s a mild sweetness followed by a mild tartness. The flavors are crisp and, when paired correctly, remind me of green apple and pear. I love this wine, and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys white wines that won’t break the bank.

A good summer wine for folks who BBQ and want a good tasting wine that pairs with grilled fish and roasted veggies. While a bit sweet, it’s not the over buttered wines which are $18-25 / bottle. A blend from the Northern California region with a tolerable alcohol level.

It’s a great go to blend as long as the sources provide the current juice.

I love the individualized bottles. These are great for having friends over or a picnic and especially during covid—everyone gets their own! However, this is not my favorite Riesling. It is a little sweeter but the finish on it is sort of rough and unexpectedly acidic and not smooth as you’d expect for something like this.

Citrus meets stone fruit in a dry white wine. This is delicious. It’s light and crisp with a clean flavor. This will pair very well with a variety of dishes. I served it with spicy guacamole dip with chips, flavorful citrus marinated grilled chicken thighs, and refried beans topped with salsa and queso.

We’ve been buying this for years as a lighter white wine that still has a lot of personality start to finish, without a lot of oak or butter of a chard or the grapefruit of Savi Blanc. Also, great for summer in the desert by the pool.

A unique California wine that is bright and crisp featuring notes of meyer lemon, goose berries and a touch of grapefruit. Pairs nicely with seafoods and salads. Excellent on a warm summer day on the patio.

This is one of my favorite more affordable brands of Pinot Grigio! Definitely one of my go-to’s for vacation when I know I will be drinking a little more than normal. The taste is great it is just the perfect combination of dry and sweet without being too sweet! Would definitely recommend if looking for budget wine.

This is one of our favorites. Not very dry but has a light light taste to it. Also another not badly priced and also goes with a white sauce, chicken or fish dish. Or. like the blush just to have glass.

I would recommend absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a non super sweet white like moscato.

Has a nice light on the tongue flavor. Not too sweet or dry. The quality is great compared to others in the same price range. There’s nothing I would do to change the product itself, but how its sold, it should come in a 2 bottle package for like hosting parties.

Those following the California “Super Sauvignon Blanc” momentum, should take note of this fantastic New Zealand original. Crafted by long established wine maker Helen Morrisson, the 2021 Villa Maria Private Bin SB, which is the entry level bottling reveals aromas of pear grapefruit and peashoot, followed with intense waves of mouthwatering citrus, honeydew, passionfruit, kiwi and lemongrass with a most pleasant slight residual sugar on the honeysuckle finish.

To state the obvious, this is an unbelievable buy at currant price point and should be purchased by the case. 91 pts.

Collected 10 bottles. All wheeled across car park by young female assistant in low level trolley. Might I make a practical suggestion. Multiple bottles of wines are boxed (boxes of 6 or 12) for ease of transit.

Scratching my head to think they must have arrived in boxes so why have they been removed? I was going to order 24 bottles but your web-site didn’t allow. Would have been interesting to see how the young lady managed with this lot.

First encountered this wine in a grocery store in New Zealand Northern island. Was shocked at not only how good it was but how inexpensive. Happy to find it’s still same delightful bouquet, taste and price range in the states.

Definitely a NZ Sauvignon Blanc; Crisp and fruity but with less acid and grapefruit than most Kiwi offerings and far less expensive. It’s a staple in our cellar.

Our lightweight wine drinking friends love this wine. It has a light, slightly sweet, fruity taste. Good for casual parties and hot summer days.

Lexie moscato by Alice White is my favorite wine. It is sweet but it doesn’t give you a headache after drinking it. It’s my go to brand!
