20 Best Dry Skin Moisturizer For Face (2023 Updated)

This product has quickly become a holy grail for me. I purchased my first, and went with the Limited Edition Gratitude Size (2. 5 fl oz) and within a week, knew I needed to buy a second! The packaging is very attractive periwinkle blue accented by pretty purple flowers with a gold product scoop and scoop holder on the cap.

When you take off the cap, there is a protective reusable plastic insert with a convenient tab for ease of removal. The cream itself is also a lovely shade of light blue. The scent is very herbal and pleasant.

This moisturizer is amazing for extremely dry skin like mine. Nutrient-rich Japanese Purple Rice provides antioxidants to help protect skin and restore balance. Okinawa Algae and hyaluronic acid help skin retain water to stay moisturized and nourished while replenishing the skins barrier, and a lovely blend of botanical extracts and oils help enhance and moisturize skin while providing a beautiful, dewy glow.

I have extremely dry skin, especially in the harsh mean winters. I have been searching high and low for a good face cream that doesn’t irritate my skin but truly provides deep nourishment and moisture.

 The Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream checks all of those boxes and is also a certified clean and cruelty-free product.  I am able to use this product in the morning by applying a light layer before putting on makeup, and it helps keep my skin and makeup from forming dry patches throughout the day.

 At night, I apply a slightly thicker layer before bed, but a tiny bit goes a LONG way! The little scoop they provide allows you to pick up the perfect amount to cover face, neck, décolletage, and the back of the hands as well! The ONLY reason I have marked this four stars instead of five is because of the price: though I feel the Gratitude size is worth it, I feel that Tatcha products are over-priced in general.

Another point I would like to include is that this product is not for everyone because I know that the scents and some of the ingredients can be too harsh for some people, especially those with extremely sensitive skin.

My skin feels so good and soft since using the Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Moisturizer. I have tried different moisturizers over the past couple years with never results like this as I would have irritation as the different lines would be either too rich, have properties that would cause breakouts or even worse dry my skin out even more.

My skin has changed in the past five years from oily combination screen to dry rosacea break outs and some fine lines. I tried the cleanser from this line with the combination of this moisturizer but found the cleanser stripped moisturizer from my skin so for me it was not a good combination.

My skin was just ok but didn’t feel great and felt dry. I really loved this moisturizer though and knew there must be a cleanser that is milder but yet soothing for my acne rosacea skin that would be complimentary with this moisturizer.

I lucked out as after experimenting using CeraVe SA cleanser and the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream moisturizer found it was a winning combination. Must be the ceramides & salicylic acid in the cleanser that keeps the skin blemish free.

The Tatcha moisturizer works beautifully after I cleanse my skin as it gives the bonus moisturizing plumping properties. My husband complimented my skin and and that made me feel so good that it is noticeable.

I’m happy as my skin feels healthy and youthful again.

I’ve received this product as a trail size in the birthday sample kit. My skin is on the dry side. I’ve also been introducing retinal to my skin care regimen which adds on to the dryness. I’ve tried 3 different kinds of moisturizers (farmacy, laneige, drmtlgy) they was not hydrating enough.

I’ve also tried Clinique dramatically hydrating jelly and cerave which seems to help somewhat. With this cream being my last resort, I’ve tried it and it just soaked into my skin and my skin felt incredibility hydrating.

It has been months since my skin felt completely hydrated. It does leave a super dewy look. A little really does go a long way. I feel like too much can contribute to pore clogging which I haven’t experienced.

It looks well under my skin tint moisturizer but 1st allow this to settled into your skin before make up application. The reason why I removed a star is because I am not a fan of jar packing (although the packing is absolutely stunning), I do not like the the last 5 irritating ingredients at the bottom of list (listed on the packaging and tatcha website) which are: alcohol, fragrance, citral, limonene, and linalool.

Although these ingredients do not irritated my skin personally, but overtime with repeated usage, I do not know what kind of affects this will have on my skin. The fragrance is light and has a spa like smell.

It is not overpowering and it do not linger. However the facial wash is quite strong. I’ve purchased this full size and will continue to use until otherwise my skin dislikes it.

This is great for oily skin especially is you use chemical exfoliants and tretinoin. It’s not heavy at all due to its airy texture. I would consider it to be a medium moisturizer which is perfect for me.

I was looking for a moisturizer that will repair my skin barrier but wont leave me oily. I was on YouTube and came across a dermatologist channel that recommended this moisturizer to repair my barrier but would also aid in fight hyperpigmentation.

It was sold on out Paula choice but I was able to try the travel size. Surprisingly the travel size lasted a while being that I only use this product at night. It leaves my skin moisturized and soft.

I can also use it during the day and I will not be an oily mess. The oily reason why I don’t use this during the day is because I use Drunk Elephant F balm. As long the ingredient list doesn’t change I will continue to buy.

I received this cream as a gift from Farmacy Beauty in exchange for my honest opinion and I’m very a grateful and having tried and tested this product, this is my review. I am a big fan of Farmacy products so was really excited to try this moisturiser.

It’s a rich, cream texture that sinks into the skin quickly and provides much needed hydration now that the weather is getting cooler. So what did I like about the product? This is a plant based product that is cruelty free, paraben free, mineral oil free, phthalate free and formaldehyde free.

It is amazing at soothing dry skin and does make the skin look healthier overall. The packaging is just stunning, it looks like a little honey pot, has a magnetic scoop and lid that is handy to have and also looks super cute.

The box it comes in is made from renewable materials so this is a big plus for me. This is my holy grail moisturizer. I have severely dry skin and since starting tretinoin, CATACLYSMICALLY dry skin 😂. This moisturizer is the only one (besides one korean cream I’ve found) that can fully prevent my skin from flaking the 48 hours after using tret.

Even with that Korean one, I can still get flakes on the dryest parts of my face, but if I use only Honey Halo I don’t peel at all! (I try to use this sparingly though, I got a deal on the 3. 4oz for about 30% off retail value from catching a promotion and using a coupon, but I know I will most likely have to do some serious finagling to repurchase it when it’s gone – so I treat it like gold in cream form 😅).

This stuff is seriously magical though, I love how it melts into my skin like butter, but doesn’t leave any greasiness or any film – it sinks completely into my skin after just minutes so I know my skin is getting the full effect of all those ceramides! Most creams that sink in without leaving any layer on top of my skin, tend to lead to dryness re-emerging a few hours later.

My dry, sensitive skin thirsts for this! For years, I’ve used a more expensive face cream from the Fresh Black Tea line. I went to re-purchase and it was no longer available so I set out for a replacement.

After trying many other high end creams that didn’t work for my super dry cheeks and smile lines, I decided to give the honey halo a try and wow! I can’t believe how effective it is and for the price.

For starters, I am a skin care addict. I also love pricey makeup but skin care always trumps my makeup purchases. If your skincare isn’t up to par, neither is your makeup in my opinion. I literally have a bathroom shelf, bathroom tub, shower and caddy, a bathroom cabinet and a closet packed with skin care.

First impression when unboxing: The box and bottle are the same as the traditional packaging, simple, effective, pleasing to the eye. I opened the flip cap and took a whiff, there’s a light scent that reminds me of tanning lotion/sunscreen (kind of like that cooking bacon-esque scent).

I read other reviews saying that a little goes a long way so I squeezed out a pea sized amount. The formula is super light, and is a water gel consistency (which made me nervous for the mattifying factor).

I started with the back of my hand to see a comparison. A little definitely went a long way, and traveled up my entire forearm. I compared my hands and the hand with the product was significantly less shiny, and all of the cracks (it’s cold and dry where I am at the moment) were blurred.

I tried it on my face and it definitely mattified my oily areas, but I wasn’t sure how hydrated I was. This can be a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave behind a film, but at the touch it felt like I didn’t have anything on and felt like I needed to reapply.

When I did reapply though, it felt like I overused product so it definitely achieved its claim to fame. It’s not my holy grail but I’ll definitely use the whole tube especially since it didn’t break out my sensitive/acne prone skin.

I used this moisturizer a few years ago before switching to another brand. However, after that competing brand changed their formula I came back to Jack Black. First, it’s a smooth, non-thick moisturizer with SPF.

if you love Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream Moisturizer, you’ll love their Ultra Facial Cream SPF 30. as a young woman, I am regularly bombarded with information on how to take care of my body long term. while most of it is crap (let’s be honest), protecting your skin from UV rays with SPF is undeniably beneficial.

I’m a long-term user of the ultra facial cream moisturizer–there’s just nothing else that compares–but I wanted to make the switch to a daily facial moisturizer with SPF, and Kiehl’s is the BEST. please note the consistency is each face cream IS different.

the moisturizer is closer to a dense-whipped cream type feel (consistent with most facial moisturizers I’ve tried throughout my life), and the one with SPF reminds me more of, well, sunscreen. as a result, when I first opened the jar, my initial thought was “I’m not going to like this”.

This is genuinely the best moisturizer i’ve tried to date, and i’ve been around the block. I got this as a free sample last year (I don’t remember if it was from Sephora though) and after using up the tiny container it was an INSTANT re-buy (I got the 28mL).

The first thing about it is the lack of smell: It literally, and when I say literally, I mean it, has not a hint of any fragrance or scent (not even that plastic-ey smell some fragrance-free products have) which is amazing for my migraine prone self.

So in the last few years I have tried several times to switch to highly recommended, dermatologist supported less expensive alternatives for protecting and maintaining skin’s moisture barrier. I have continued using high quality serums and some moisturizing essences at times.

I am not able to tolerate a retinol and have had trouble with vitamin C as well. Even though my prior attempts to change my moisturizer were not successful I listened to everyone who says its foolish to spend so much for something that is just a moisturizer.

So I tried again this year to change my moisturizer. Well, this winter I started struggling with redness, irritation, bumps and itchiness. I tried removing each of my skincare items to figure out if one was causing it.

I tried just using gentle cleansing and moisturizer only. I switched to yet another highly recommended dermatologist approved less expensive alternative. I stopped wearing my make-up. I went for a facial which made things slightly worse.

I was about to call for a dermatologist appointment because I began to wonder if it was some kind of dermatitis or maybe even a fungal infection. I remembered I had a little bit of la Mer left in an old jar.

I put a little bit on the bumps on my forehead and my jaw on the right where it was really bad. Went to sleep. Woke up with smooth calmed skin, no itching for the first time in 2-3 months. Only place I still had itching and bumps was on the left side of my jaw where I had not put any cream.

I think there are a lot of people including dermatologists and influencers who comment on skincare but who don’t have truly dry and sensitive (like really truly VERY dry and sensitive) skin. At this point I have tried at least 8 other highly praised alternatives including everything from CeraVe to medical grade skincare bought directly from the dermatologist in the last few years.

They are all I have no doubt excellent products with very good ingredient lists. But I am here to tell you that if you have really truly dry and sensitive skin look no further than la Mer. I don’t like to waste products so I will use up these last two creams I tried by alternating them with La Mer in the summer months.

But I’m not going to keep trying to replace La Mer. There is no substitute.

I got my hands on a small pot of Creme de la mer and decided to give it a try, after all there had to be some reason this was so highly recommended to me, right? Wrong! Just as I expected from a product that lists ‘mineral oil’ so high up in the ingredients list, and a potentially irritating ‘Eucalyptus Oil’ on the list too, I broke out literally on day 2.

The only positive was that it did slightly clear up a dry patch on my right cheek but to be fair I could have achieved that with anything on my dressing table. It sat like an oily film for hours on my face and its a testament to my patience how I didn’t grab the nearest washcloth to remove it with! Gave this to my mum to try (dry/normal skin type) seeing as I still had a bit left in the pot and her feedback was merely an “it’s ok, nothing special”.

If you have dry skin or suffer from dehydration and are NOT sensitive then by all means give it a try. From an ingredients perspective however there is nothing remarkable about this formulation. Antioxidants.

I really want to say I don’t like it to save my pocket the pain. But, my skin won’t lie. It loves it! I actually tried this creme a few years back (in my 20s), my skin hated it then and it disapproved it by protesting with a bunch of milia and tiny pimples.

The moment I hit my big 3, my skin decided to act wild (extra sensitive in forms of flame ups and pimples) and I tried various products, but this was the only thing that calmed it down. Yes, after a few years my skin decided it likes “miracle broth,” wasted my money back then.

What a grumpy and demanding child! I started with a mini emulsion and creme (gifts from La Mer), then I ran to grab the full size emulsion and creme. And because my skin loved it so much, I bought the creme duet set and another full size emulsion just to make sure I have backups.

The creme feels similar to Nivea cream, but it’s not the same. I tried to get my skin to like Nivea but it simply didn’t like it and didn’t calm anything down, it’s a great moisturizer for the body though.

The smell of Creme de La Mer is more elegant than the smell of Nivea Cream. Someone said rotten seaweed, perhaps they got a bad batch? I love the smell, a very calming sensorial flight for me every time I use it (AM and PM, and sometimes mid day if I go out and decide to wash my face mid day).

I use two pumps of emulsion then follow up with a pearl size of creme warmed up between my finger tips and patted on. My skin calmed, smoothed, lifting, and firmed; and my skin haven’t glow like this since my teens.

Will keep repurchasing until my skin decides it likes another product! The price isn’t bad, you only need a pearl size each time, a 7mL lasts me 2wks and 15mL 4wks with me using it almost 3 times every day.

I bought the creme duet which is a 60mL + 15mL and that should last me a while. If you buy a 60mL (4mths about) at CAD$470, it’s about CAD $4/day, that’s less than the price of a cup of Starbucks each day!.

They have changed the ingredients on this moisturizer yet the websites still have its old formula. This used to be my holy grail. I broke out so bad these last two months and had no idea why-well I did some investigating and realized it was this moisturizer.

My skin is still trying to come back from the damage. It is also no loner fragrance free or allergy free. I am so disappointed and angry that my skin has been ruined by this. I also feel it’s awful that they haven’t listed the new formulae yet.

NO LONGER SENSITIVE SKIN SAFE. I’ve used this for a few years now and I USED TO LOVE IT. That’s until recently when I ordered my most new bottle I noticed it had an off smell like the product had gone rancid.

Ulta. com was great and swapped it out but then the next bottle had a similar, milder smell. (I should have checked the labels here. ) I went ahead and started using it because I was totally out of moisturizer at this point even though I swatch compared with my old bottle and my old bottle had no smell to it.

A few days down the road I noticed my skin was starting to look bumpy but kind of wrote it off. Now my face is starting to break out in white heads all over my cheeks and forehead and I am not acne prone.

At this point I compared my labels side by side and see they’ve changed the ingredients and my old bottle says “fragrance free and allergy tested” where the new bottle says no ARTIFICIAL fragrance and “normal” skin.

Super disappointed. Why change a good thing. Creams for normal skin are a dime a dozen plus the smell to this is terrible. Even if I didn’t have sensitive skin it’s a total turn off.

I used to love this moisturizer. It was my absolute favorite until this most recent time I repurchased (for my birthday). It has done nothing but irritate my skin. The smell and texture are also off.

I don’t know if they reformulated it or if I got a bad batch but I finally threw it away after trying to make it work for almost two months. I’ve kept everything else the same in my skin care routine and with all my soaps and fabric softener.

I do not really have ultra sensitive skin, but my skin burns after contact with this stuff now. I have never had this reaction with a moisturizer. I have also noticed dry patches in spots of my face that I have not had before.

I will not be buying any First Aid stuff again. Such a waste of money, and I’m so sad because this used to be a holy grail product.

I had used your original Renergie Face Cream (Day) for 20 yrs and was so disappointed that it was discontinued. I needed a replacement and eventually found on my own your Renergie lift multi-action spf 15 rich cream for dry skin.

It is working perfectly without being greasy. I have no dry patches like I did when I tried your Renergie Lift Multi Action spf 15 “for all skin types” which was a little drying for me. Lancome. you need to train your sales people in the dept stores better so they offer this product to women also.

Only the product for all skin types and the new Ulta 30 (which I will never purchase) is offered. I observed recently that a couple of lancome reps working in the major dept stores did not even know that the Renergie for dry skin spf 15 moisturizier existed.

Also. your website does the product a disservice and does NOT even come up with an option to purchase unless a customer clicks on Renergie products only. If you click on Moisturizers or just browse skincare it NEVER comes up so I was unaware it existed.

It was only when I googled in general for moisturizers for dry skin that it came up. I am concerned without the proper placement on your website you will eventually discontinue this product as well.

My face is hydrated and silky smooth —-all day. My make-up looks fresh with a nice glow. If [brand:lancome] renergie lift multi-action-ultra-face-cream-with-spf-30 can change my skin in less than a week.

I cannot wait to see how it will look in a month. Also I need very little to receive exceptional results—- one full size product will last a long time. I use a few small dots of the product morning and night on my face and neck.

I used this for a few years, then realized my skin looked much better and more normal with moisturizers without dimethicone or silicones. This has so much dimethicone (it is the second ingredient), which leaves the skin with a bizarre layer over it.

I used this for years as it made my skin look really good, nourished and plump, but i think at the end of the day, sweat etc just sort of stayed under the silicone layer that this left on my skin and my foundation would sit on top of the silicone layer, it just gave a very weird strange look to my skin after foundation and after a few hours of wear.

I realized by switching to a non silicone moisturizer my skin did not look weird anymore at the end of the day.

I have very weird combo skin, normally oily, but pale and sensitive due to retinA, and breakout prone. I get oily everywhere except my cheeks, which get very dry half the year. I have tried both regular cream and the RICH cream, and I definitely feel that my skin loves the Rich one more.

It’s not like a heavy greasy cream, but it’s thick and rich, and I always want to take extra time to massage it into my face at night. It’s very unique. It’s unscented, nothing irritating in it, doesn’t burn or sting or cause any exfoliating.

I’ve gone through about 2 bottles in over a year, using mainly at night. If my skin happens to be really dry from retinA then i will use some before makeup or spot moisturize during the day. But typically I only use at night.

It spreads easy enough but still feels thick and doesn’t just disappear after you apply it. I would suggest shaking the bottle up every week. The oils in this don’t break me out like practically every other cream.

I feel like this adds a cushion to my skin at night, i use it before tretinoin prescription cream. And my skin feels protected and I wake up with more even skin tone every day. At first I bought the non-rich one thinking this would be too greasy for me, but ITS NOT GREASY! That being said, if you have extremely dry skin, you might want to try their facial oil over the top of this.

And always drink tons of water before and after bed because that’s the ideal time for your skin to repair itself. You can’t go to bed dehydrated and expect to wake up with glowing skin 8 hours later, you skin needs water even when you’re sleeping.

I truly believe in THE RICH CREAM and it is the main AB product I use. I have tried a couple others and I just bought the eye cream. So far this is my favorite and I hope they never change this formula.

But if they extend their line of skincare I will be happy to try new products. JUST DONT CHANGE THIS ONE.

I wasn’t sure about this cream at first. In all honesty I didn’t get the hype, the price tag is eye watering too, so that also put me off. I got a 15ml size of this in my calendar and I’m so glad I did.

I use it once to twice a day and at first I saw no difference in my skin, but I stuck it out and suddenly BAM I looked in the mirror one morning and it was like I had completely new skin, I only need 2 pumps to do my whole face, neck and chest.

For me a little goes a long way, so I have been able to trial this out properly. My pores are now tiny, my redness gone, skin is soft and silky and what really sold it to me, to the point I had to buy the full size, as I can’t imagine being without this cream now is that my scarring from childhood acne and I mean scarring, not the faded redness you get from an old spot, which mind you this gets rid of spots and the after effects of them fast.

Something that would take weeks to fade is healed and fine in a week if that. The childhood scarring which I have never been able to get rid of has softened, to the extreme of barely seeing them anymore.

It was at day 20 my skin just did a massive turn around and it’s still improving daily, If you’re unsure on this cream give it a go and stick it out. I use amazing, expensive products on my skin which I love but this is just different, amazing and you won’t regret it.

It works great with my existing skin care routine and sits nice under make up. I have combination skin and I don’t find this heavy at all and it certainly doesn’t clog pores. seriously does so much for the skin, it’s a little miracle in a jar!.

I have a very problematic skin. I have a few severe allergies that often result in hives (unfortunately most often on my face and neck), I suffer with water retention (read – tired and puffy skin) and also there is the rosacea.

If that was not enough – I was born with KP… I am in my late thirties and when I skin last year started to show substantial sign of premature ageing I went crazy looking for something that will help my skin to reset the o’clock (or at least slow it down).

It was like lockdown has added me 10 years! I tried most of the high end brands without any major breakthroughs and then I read about the Rich Cream and I decided to try… I know some people wait weeks for the result but it was not the case for me.

I could look again with joy into the mirror after just a couple of days. My dull, dry dehydrated skin was glowing! I continue using AB rich cream and experimenting with other products. My friends notice as suddenly everybody comments how beautiful my skin is and how I still look like I was twenty something years old… my skin is radiant, more elastic, more even and fine lines vanished and smoothed.

And my skin feels happy and comfortable :-).

I personally have combo skin, and hormonal acne. I bought this since I love the Neutrogena HydroBoost moisturizer (both regular and night time one!) to add in some SPF into my routine. It does smell slightly like sunscreen, and it goes on white like sunscreen.

BUT, I am able to use it with and without makeup, which is awesome. Pros: It doesn’t leave the typical sunscreen residue on your face. After application, it just feels like how your serums would. When it dries, it absorbs really well and you wouldn’t even realize it was sunscreen / moisturizer.

Also, I noticed it doesn’t burn my eyes like typical sunscreen does. Cons: Can’t say too much here, since I’ve only been using it for about a month, and this is the first time I’ve had SPF implemented into my skin care routine.

Takeaways: Definitely worth the purchase if you’re looking for SPF. It’s easy to add into your existing routine, and not so costly that you will regret purchasing it if it doesn’t end up working. As long as you don’t experience any adverse side effects, and you don’t notice much of a difference, it still does have SPF so its something you can pack on vacation for a supplemental facial/neck/chest sunscreen.

This moisturizer with SPF could be a great all-in-one option for some people. The moisturizer dispenses as a thin cream (consistency feels more similar to sunscreen than moisturizer) and blends into skin quickly.

I have oily-combo skin and this finished matte for me within just a couple of minutes. The bottle says it sits great under makeup, which I never tried, but would believe. It’s unscented and if anything has a faint sunscreen smell that doesn’t last long at all.

For anyone familiar with Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost line of moisturizers, this feels thinner and less intensively moisturizing. Because of this, I tried using it on top of my normal gel moisturizer and found that it pilled pretty badly.

In warmer months, I think this could be a very suitable all-in-one moisturizer/sunscreen combo, but for the winter, I don’t think it will provide enough moisture unless your skin is very oily.

I started using the Neutrogena FMT Hydro Boost Blue Opal with the idea in mind that this product was supposed to be a sort of 3-in-1 daytime skincare product. It’s got all the items I would use normally in the morning (moisturizer, Hyaluronic Acid, and SPF) in 1 convenient bottle.

But I was left feeling underwhelmed. As a moisturizer, it is lacking. My dry skin didn’t feel quenched instead I feel like the SPF 50 overpowered the hydrating effects. Don’t get me wrong, I love the SPF level and seriously believe everyone should wear it but in combination, it isn’t working.

The packaging says fragrance-free, which is true. There is no added fragrance but you are left with a sunscreen scent. My thinking, instead of just not using the product I am going to add it to my current skincare routine.

I do like the SPF level & how lightweight it feels. There’s no greasy residue or white cast. But as a stand-alone product, my skin would not be getting the hydration it so desperately needs.

The old formula of the Moisture Surge Intense was my ride or die moisturizer for a few years before they changed the formula. I have been afraid to try the new formula due to the strong negative reaction from others saying it doesn’t hydrate as well.

In my experience thus far, I think it just hydrates differently and smarter than the old formula. This formula feels a little lighter going on the skin and the old formula felt a bit oilier almost and had an almost chemical smell.

I think that initial application experience makes it seem like it’s not as hydrating but where I notice the biggest difference is throughout the day. My skin for the last 2 months has been drier than I’ve ever experienced, tight, red, flaky, painful.

It’s recovered in part but I was still struggling to find a moisturizer that my skin didn’t drink up by noon, leaving my skin parched the whole rest of the day. I finally bit the bullet and tried the smallest size of the new formula and am kicking myself for not just trying it initially and saving myself 2 years of testing other products.

*Face palm* This really has helped repair my moisture barrier which in turn helps minimize fine lines and makeup application. It’s only been a few weeks but I bought a larger size because I am back on board with this product! If you’re concerned about the negative reviews, just get the smallest size and give it a shot for a few days in a row, even, and see how your skin reacts.

I have read several reviews about people wishing that Clinique would not have stopped manufacturing this product. I am a huge fan of the 100Hour Moisture Surge, BUT, I USE THIS ONE AS WELL, for a layering effect.

This one goes on before the Moisture Surge 100Hour product. These are two totally different products and they are totally different out of the jar. The 72 Hour is a cream and it is very good at moisturizing.

But, it’s not enough moisture for my skin, so I layer and use both night and day now. (I use other products that are not in the Clinique line layered under these two moisturizers. ) So, for those of you who think this one is discontinued from Clinique – I’m still able to get it in store and online through Nordstrom.

I hope I’m not just getting the last few that are available and it ran out in other markets first. I WOULD MISS THIS ONE TERRIBLY. I really do not think they discontinued this product. I have not contacted Clinique directly – but I may.

I have a supper sensitive, prone to acne and extremally dry skin (when I say dry I mean almost cracking sensation dry). Have tried many moisturizers before and some worked okay, most were too greasy and were not going deep enough to give that deep hydration.

A consultant in the shop suggested this product when I was struggling to find product that would help me. This is where Moisture Surge collection and specifically this product came to my life and I have a feeling will stay for a VERY long time.

My Skin showed the change after the First use (Shocked!). After several days I felt like I have a brand new, Much healthier skin, more plump, radiant, clear and most of all Truly hydrated. The texture penetrates skin and never makes me feel greasy or itchy or like it’s coming out of my pores like with most of the products I used to use (and some were really high end brands!).

I received this product free from Influenster and Drunk Elephant in exchange for my honest review. First of all I do have to say I’m a bit disappointed with the ml/oz of the trial/sample size of the moisturizer cream, but in all fairness I guess that would make this $6, having taken into consideration that a 50 ml container prices out at $60.

Now with that out of the way, this whipped cream moisturizer is very smooth and rich helping your skin feel softer and more rejuvenated. Likewise, this cream is truly good for all skin types, whether you have combination skin, excessive oil, or even dryness…This cream helps all to achieve a healthy pH, whilst also fighting against aging and helping to restore overall elasticity and moisture.

Furthermore, while I do appreciate Drunk Elephant’s commitment to NOT using unnecessary ingredients, focusing on only the direct benefit to the skin, I would definitely appreciate some sort of scent.

I have read TONS of complaints in regards to this very bland, Play Doh like smell that can be a little off putting. I’m certain that Drunk Elephant can find something natural that can also even serve as a beneficial ingredient to help the overall aroma and vibe that this whipped cream moisturizer gives.

My skin has always been something that I struggled with. I have combination, acne- prone skin, with some dry and flaky areas due my prescribed Tretinoin cream. I could never to find a product that moisturized my skin enough to remove the dryness without causing an acne flare-up or leaving greasy residue.

However, this product checks all the boxes: it is a nice, lightweight formula free of fragrance, silicones, or other skin irritants. Before even testing the product, I noticed that the pH balanced formula consisted of top ingredients such as ceramides and sodium hyaluronate cross-polymer, which my dermatologist had suggested I look for in a moisturizing product.

Upon trying it, this formula exceeded all my expectations. It goes on very smoothly and absorbs quickly as to not feel greasy. Immediately my skin felt nourished, and overnight there was a noticeable difference.

It completely eliminated the dryness and flakes, but also minimized the size of pores in my t-zone and other acne-prone areas on my cheeks. This is the first moisturizer that has helped both my acne and dryness, and I will definitely purchase this product despite the price tag.

I feel comfortable recommending this product to any skin type due to the integrity of the formula, and as well as the success I have found using it with my multifaceted skin concerns.

I don’t think anything can really top the Lala ❤️ The packaging is always beautiful, using recycled materials and opaque bottles to protect the actives from becoming inert from exposure to sunlight. The original product, 7signs SPF 15 and Night cream with the black lid was my absolute favourite for over 10 years and the only face cream I could use which didn’t make my eyes sting and glided so well on my skin.

It moisturised so well and had a great fragrance. Unfortunately, the new 7in one cream in the new white bottle is so disappointing – it leaves a sticky residue, like suncream does and does not blend well and sits on the skin rather than blend in.

It also doesn’t work well with foundation and almost works against it. There is no pleasant smell. There is nothing positive I can say about this change. I searched everywhere for old stock and even called Olay to buy the previous version without any luck.

I won’t be buying any more because it just doesn’t work. The last one was perfect. You’ve ruined it. Interesting how the positive reviews are from people who have received a promotion!.

I never had a line or wrinkle, not even a crow’s feet mark at all until I was 49 because I used this since my 20s. People used to marvel at how my skin looked so young. Then, I stopped going to the store during the pandemic and I finally just began using the so-called high end brands coming in my subscription boxes as it was just easier at the time.

What a mistake. Within a year I can totally see the difference. It’s like day and night. I’m going back to Olay and I will never change again for as long as I live! If you’re young, do yourself a favor and stick with what you know works.

I am kicking myself now for stopping using my Olay Total Effects. It works, doesn’t break me out, prevents ageing in one easy step.

Terrible. Never again I applied a tiny micro dab only and it’s sufficient to cover your entire face. The consistency of this cream is not moisturising as it’s very thick and doesnt glide onto the skin smoothly.

Hence, it leaves a greasy sticky uncomfortable feeling after application. At first glance your skin looks vibrant n youthful. However as the cream is so thick, it made my skin very itchy. And as the cream sunk into my skin, on the following day it left my face with red patches like a rash.

Not good.

I thought I purchased the one with age defense and no paraben that I purchased last time. But once I received and found out that it was not, just same bottle, similar wording like anti aging instead of age defense.

Also the quality of cream is different, more dry. Don’t understand why there are silmiar wording with different quality in same brand. I will be careful to get right one next time.

I have been diagnosed with contact dermatitis. Im allergic to some preserves which makes hard to fine products for me. This face cream is great, I felt the difference since day one. I only apply it two times (in the morning and at night) and I can feel my skin soft and hydrated.

If you have sensitive and/or dry skin, this cream its for you.

The products which come into default is bigger for eg- the face foam comes in 150 ml bottle but what I received was a 50 ml bottle. Al the products which I received was travel size except the Sebamed Anti-Ageing Q10 and eye cream which I am very satisfied with.

Both are excellent.

Honestly, I don’t know why I stopped using this earlier during the year. I decided to change up my skincare routine because of all the hype over other popular/trending brands, so I ended up using those other branded moisturizers.

However, I definitely cannot compare those other brands with Murad’s Hydro-Dynamic Ultra moisturizer. This is just the most moisturizing, calming, soothing, non-drying, fast-absorbent and ultra-rich creamy and soft formula-it is honestly the best for my skin and I shouldn’t have stopped using this moisturizer.

The only con I have about this product is the price, but then again, you actually get what you pay for LOL! But still, I wish it was a little more affordable. Anyway, I will continue to purchase this product over and over again.

I love murad products and this seemed perfect for my skin type. Unfortunately, there was not nearly as much moisture as I thought there would be in this product. I was expecting this to be a thick, luxurious cream.

It is more of a gel consistency than a cream so when it dries it leaves my skin feeling a little tight and not very moisturized. It also leaves kind of a film once it dries so it sometimes creates pilling on my skin.

I do like how it makes my skin look and definitely can see it plumping my skin. However, I don’t find myself reaching for it daily and when I do use it, I need to add a hydrator like squalane before applying this.

Overall, I will finish this but I don’t think I would repurchase. This may be great for someone with a different skin type, but if you’re super dry like me I would look for something else.

I was gifted by Murad the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture in exchange for my honest review. This luxurious, lightweight moisturizer provides 24 hour hydration. My skin feels so good when I use this product.

It is so hydrated and soft. It absorbs well and does not leave any tackiness. I love the lightweight feel. After cleansing my face I use it twice a day, morning and evening, and apply it gently with my fingers.

After 12 days of usage I have not noticed diminished fine lines yet, but I am hopeful with continued use they may diminish in time. It is a wonderful moisturizer for my skincare routine.

✨Overview✨ I do not hold an extremely high regard for this product compared to many other people for a few reasons. The first reason is that Cerave doesn’t have the best ethical practices and has unnecessarily increased the price of this product, where it isn’t within drugstore prices anymore for a product that is honestly quite drugstore.

It is also relying on hyaluronic acid as a marketing tactic, in which hyaluronic acid honestly isn’t anything special and is overhyped. I believe that adding niacinamide would make this product better, for example.

Finally, I don’t like that this product contains dimethicone, a silicone. Considering all these contentions, I still have quite a bit of product left over, and I use it occasionally and will alternate it with other moisturizing products.

I also personally prefer using it on my body. ✨Full PM Routine✨ I use this product during my PM routine. Here is my PM routine: I will first lightly cleanse if needed, then immediately use a moisturizing essence such as the Cosrx “Full Fit Propolis Synergy Toner” and Marine Hylauronics from The Ordinary.

After these steps, I will apply “Buffet” + Copper Peptides, wait about 10-15 minutes, buffer with a small amount of the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence, then apply my retinoid, prescription tretinoin in 0.

025%. After applying tretinoin, I will wait another 10-15 minutes, then apply my moisturizer. I will either use a mixture of the Cerave Daily Moisturizing Lotion with The Ordinary’s 100% Niacinamide Powder, or a mixture of the Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream with The Ordinary’s 100% Niacinamide Powder.

After that step, I will apply either an emollient or occlusive to lock everything in – and this depends on how I feel. Sometimes I will skip this step. For things I will apply at this step, I’ve been using the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask on and off for years, and I still do love the product.

I will either apply this product, or Sierra’s Bees Madre Madness Balm (I purchase this from iHerb. com). This PM routine has kept my skin in extremely good shape and it has worked for me.

Gave my confidence back and I feel like it saved my life. I’ve never had skin problems, so imagine at 41 how I freaked out as I woke up one morning and out of nowhere my face, legs, buttocks, arms, back, breast and stomach were all inflamed and itching uncontrollably.

For days I used calamine lotion and other topicals to stop the itching and flare ups. Washed everything and cleaned the entire room. About 4 days later I finally stopped itching and now everywhere the flare ups were, there were now dark black patches.

Days later they started developing on my face and dark circles underneath my eyes. My entire forehead and both cheeks were tight and shiny like leather. The feel was completely different from the other spots all over my body.

I was afraid the sun and hear would only make it worse and afraid that he would look at me differently. I reluctantly went alone using Vaseline on my face every few hours and kept my body covered wearing pants.

After 3 days, I said that’s enough I have to do something about this that’s different. Had him to stop by Walmart and went in and analyzed the products. Googled as I was in the store and settled on Cerave Moisturizing Cream and Cerave healing ointment.

Went to the hotel room a shower and applied the ointment to my face and Moisturizing Cream on my body. Telecaster again that night and the next morning you wouldn’t believe the difference it made. Plus it lasted for hours.

I continued this regimen and 30 hours later the leather on my face was no longer there it was only a small amount of chaff. My body was also healing and the dry patches weren’t nearly as dry. I continued for 3 more days and my face was now completely normal, so I switched to using the moisturizing cream with just a dab of ointment on my face for a couple more days then resulted to just Moisturizing Cream for my face and body.

2 weeks later, I’ve still seen nothing but improvements and my skin clearing up. The old skin where all the dark spots were and chaffed spots are now almost completely peeled and replaced with new skin.

Healthy, radiant and bright like before. I will continue using Cerave and researching their other products and see what’s the best way to maintain even after I’m completely in the clear from this. Cerave has given me the confidence I needed back and I am a lifetime supporter!.

To preface, I’m a 19yo female with normal skin that leans more dry in the winter and oily in the summer. I am acne prone and have recently finished six months of an acne medication. I have used this before and during my treatment, and will continue to use it as long as it’s made! When I’m doing my skincare, I typically alternate between using a salicylic acid toner, a retinol, a niacinamide serum, and a hyaluronic acid serum (depending on what my skin needs).

If I’m using my toner, I apply the toner to clean, dry skin and then apply this moisturizer on top. If I’m using my retinol or either serum, I mix them into this moisturizer and apply it as one concoction onto damp skin.

When I’m moisturizing my body, I apply it while my body is still wet coming out of the shower. I also use this moisturizer as a prep for my makeup! Overall, I absolutely love this moisturizer! It is basic in a good way! It has a gentle, non-scented formula that I can use on my face and body.

It looks great under makeup and always keeps my skin hydrated. This moisturizer sinks in perfectly without leaving behind a greasy, oily, or sticky residue. My skin can also breath through this moisturizer, which I’ve never found in a moisturizer that simultaneously checks my other boxes! Another great feat, it’s drugstore pricing in simple/functional packaging.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone looking for a classic moisturizer!.
