20 Best Dry Shampoo For Sensitive Scalp (2023 Updated)

This is the 2nd non-aerosol dry shampoo I have ever tried (the other one was from Lush) and, while I’ll keep trying different products, this has set the bar quite high. I have fine hair, which I only wash once/week.

On day 4 I use this product in the evening, brush off in the morning, and then I’m fine until day 7. The amount of product dispensed is difficult to regulate, compared to an aerosol can, so I recommend gentle squeezing and tapping, since you can always add more.

This is the reason behind the 4 stars, instead of 5. It’s a very good price point, the scent is almost imperceptible and the white cast is easily brushed off. My scalp is very sensitive, but this product has not caused any irritation or other troubles.

I received this product absolutely free for my honest review from Bzzagent. This product is unlike anything I have ever used like normal dry shampoos they are a liquid this product is actually in powder form.

The packaging is very easy to use you just twist open the top and you start to spray your hair with the powder. You leave it on for about two minutes and then you lightly brush your hair out with a brush or your fingers.

I was first turned onto Puracy with their Stain Remover. If you haven’t tried it, you should – it saved multiple pieces of clothing from being tossed. I have long, thick, color-treated hair with some sewn-in extensions.

I found the Puracy Shampoo & Conditioner get me about 3-4 days between having to rewash. When I use this on day 3, I get 2 more days (win!). I used Living Proof religiously for years. I’m surprised I’m saying this but this is just as good, has cleaner ingredients, and is less than half the cost.

I’m so excited that I’ve found something more economical that I didn’t have to sacrifice anything on.

I’ve been looking for a natural dry shampoo without nasty synthetic fragrance for a long time. So excited about this product for that reason alone but also because it works! I bought this on a whim and I love it!!! If you let it do it’s work and sit on your scalp for a few mins before working it in your hair/scalp, it works SO well.

Texturizes your hair so it’s way easier to style and really eliminates any greasy look/feel in your hair. I am so so surprised at how this works. Buy it!!.

I love that dry shampoo ! I used to go with another brand but I find that Klorane is actually much better for my hair. I’m using less product, my hair smells so good and no white spots remain after I’ve applied it.

I’m usually not a big fan of dry shampoo because I find them to make my curly hair way too dry and heavy. However, I like Klorane as it doesn’t stick to my roots. It’s super smooth. I would recommend for curly mid length hair as mine to apply only the minimum amount and not use your hair brush but fingers or cotton T to removed the extra powder.

There’s another one from Klorane I can’t wait to try, it’s with Oat milk. I wouldn’t choose any other brand but Klorane for dry shampoo!.

I really enjoyed using this particular dry shampoo. I have extremely oily hair and usually need to use dry shampoo on day 2/3. I used this product on day 2 and woke up day 3 and didn’t need to wash my hair.

So in all I used the product once and got two extra days out of my hair! I have bronde hair so the product blended well into my hair, it did dull the colour a bit but that is always expected from a dry shampoo.

A big bonus was that the product didn’t cause my scalp to dry out or cause irritation – which was honestly surprising since it worked so well in soaking up the oil. The only issue I experienced was having to shampoo a bot more in the shower to get rid of the residue, but that’s only because it obviously worked very well in soaking up the oil and holding the hair.

Otherwise I will absolutely purchase this product again, great bang for your buck, gives you two days extra hold and cleanliness. A great product for people on the go!.

I love the entire PK Flaky/Itchy scalp care range, so I decided to try the dry shampoo too, as most leave buildup on my oily scalp. This product is pretty good, doesn’t leave any buildup or white powder, smells really nice, but unfortunately didn’t give my hair any volume unlike other dry shampoos (though I know it’s very lightweight and not really made for volumizing).

It’s also quite expensive for the can, which doesn’t feel like it contains a lot of product. I’d rather try a more volumizing dry shampoo. I don’t really go more than 2 days without washing my oily scalp/hair, so I’d only use this occasionally if I had to go out and didn’t have time to wash my hair.

Good to know it doesn’t contribute to further dandruff – however wish it contained better ingredients like nettle.

My whole opinion of dry shampoo has changed completely. Yes rather expensive but your hair actually does look and feel cleaner than before using. No white powder tell tale signs of use. I have even used 2 days in a row and was just as effective on day 2.

It does not feel heavy or gluggy as some other products can. And my scalp has not felt at all itchy after using. A quick spray is all that is needed then brush through. I am a complete convert. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I’ll be honest, I always but the cheapest brand of dry shampoo and keep it to a necessity as I find dry shampoo. well drying. Jokes aside, after using dry shampoo I usually find my scalp quite itchy and irritated so as I mr ruined would used as more of an emergency product.

Anyhow this dry shampoo is fantastic. It feels like a gentle refresh on your hair without stripping it. It would be more suited to a regular refresh rather than to really soak up all oil. The fragrance was minimal and pleasant snd most of all it didn’t turn my brunette hair grey!.

I was looking for a zero waste dry shampoo option and found this. Not only is it zero waste, but I can also pronounce all of the ingredients! (Which are few and effective. ) It takes getting used to and willingness to figure out an application menthod that works for you.

(I prefer to transfer my product into a mason jar and apply with a makeup brush directly from the jar. ) When I bought this product, I was washing my har every other day and looking for help transitioning to a less frequent washing cycle.

I just purchased this dry shampoo to cut down on aerosolized products. When I first opened the container, I found the smell of the powder to be so lovely. The powder itself is a dark purple-ish brown.

I have light brown/dirty blonde hair and when I apply it to my scalp, it blends in perfectly. It feels so light and lasts all day long. Since I don’t need a ton, I’ve just been using my hands to apply the dry shampoo, but using a brush technique would probably work even better.

I typically spray this a few inches away from roots all around my hair and let it sit for a few minutes while I brush my teeth. I use my fingers to ensure I’ve worked the product all over my scalp and then I do a quick rough dry with my blow dryer to dry and spots that might still be wet, but you can skip this part.

It’s official — I can’t go back to aerosol dry shampoo. The last three dry shampoos that I have tried have been in the powder form and they perform on an entirely other level that aersol dry shampoos.

In reality, my test of this product was born out of true laziness, but I let my hair go three days past when I would normally wash it just to see what this dry shampoo was really about. I have thick, colored treated blonde hair and usually wash my hair every two or three days depending on the time of year.

First and foremost, the scent is pleasant. The packging is very easy to use (my last dry shampoo in a similar bottle was annoyingly tough to open and would often get stuck), and the product dispenses very easily (granted, I’m very used to this type of packaging which can sometimes have a learning curve).

This doesn’t feel heavy in your hair or weigh down your roots, so there’s no knotty, rough feeling the day after you apply. When I used this product, you would have thought I washed my hair that day and blow dryed it.

This dry shampoo has an intoxicating scent and powerful spray, ensuring product coverage and refreshed tresses every time. I love to spray this close to my roots and leave it alone for at least 5-10 minutes before giving a light scalp massage to work through any remaining product.

I really wanted to love this dry shampoo, but after using regular aerosol dry shampoo it’s hard to like a powder that leaves residue. Even the residue is hard to wash out of my hair. There is no scent to the powder and it does absorb the oil in my hair, but this product is more for someone who wants to protect their hair and not wash it for a long time.

For example, I would recommend this to someone with severely damaged and color treated hair who is trying to nurture their hair back to life by not washing it, etc. I would still recommend for them to wear a cap or something to cover the flakiness this product leaves.

I really wanted to like this because it was compact and not a spray. It smells good and the bottle is lovely. Unfortunately it didn’t cut the oiliness well and my hair looked kind of flat. My hair is naturally thick and straight, so maybe this wasn’t designed for me.

I tried this product in the morning and followed the instructions which included spraying the product into my hair section by section, waiting two minutes, and then brushing it. It has pleasant floral fragrance that lasts after application and my hair was clean and full of volume which held the entire day.

What sets this product apart is that it does not leave any white residue behind or that stiffness when compared to other products I have tried. I had high hopes for this product, since I purchase the STTropica hair vitamins on a regular basis. I ended up tossing it out when no matter how I tried to fix it (e. g. running hot water over it). the nozzle would not work.

The three times I did use the product, prior to the nozzle problem, I was happy with it, although the scent was rather strong. You might ask why I didn’t contact customer service. Here’s why. I contacted CS on another occasion, for a different reason, and the rep was not very helpful.

Rather than be aggravated again, I just decided to toss the product and cut my loss. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering this particular product again. The delivery system isn’t perfected.

Definitely see a little difference in my hair. It is thinning and the texture is changing because of age. After a month I see a little bit of a change. Hopefully I see more change over mire time.

I have tried many many dry shampoos. Some are OK, some are a bit better than the rest. Some are down right useless. I have super duper duper fine wavy hair, almost like baby hair, just over the shoulders.

The roots tend to get oily after a day and a half, even if I brush my hair twice a day. I have to be careful with washing (and conditioning) my hair too often. So dry shampoos help me skip a washing (and conditioning).

Sometimes a dry shampoo removes the oily look for half a day or a day. I once had a dry shampoo that literally only worked for about 2 hours. Waste of money. This Virtue dry shampoo is amazing! The oiliness disappears almost instantly.

No need even to brush it through. The effect lasts for up to 4 days (I tried to see how long it would last!), without making my hair thick and heavy, without making it look clumped together. Once a day I scrunch my hair, to slightly change the style, and that is all the work I needed to do: spray it in, massage it in, and then every day scrunch it up a bit.

No brush. No re-applying. 2 minutes of work on day 1, and 20 seconds every following day! And my hair looks amazing. Best dry shampoo EVERRRRRRR.

Soaks up Oily: 6/10. Does an average job of soaking up light dirt and oil. On same-day or very light oil hair, it does a decent job. If you are looking for more heavy-duty dry shampoo, this won’t do the job as even spraying more doesn’t soak up heavier oil.

Texture: 5/10 leaves hair feeling feeling dry and flat. Hair has a powdery dry feeling even after brushing/soaking in oil. I like dry shampoo that also makes hair easier to style, i. e. , Drybar gives more volume and texture White cast: 9/10.

Leaves no white cast – it’s completely clear. Smell (1 light, 10 strong): 6/10; for a dry shampoo, the smell is light and not overwhelming. On par, maybe slightly stronger than Living Proof scent.

Love the smell! Premium/high end quality smell. Nice lathering even when I use a small amount. Great spread. It feels clean without feeling menthol-ly, minty cool which I prefer. Took the oily gunk out without feeling abrasive.

Great shampoo! I have thick, long wavy frizzy hair with oily scalp. I think I prefer this a lot more than the Virtue Labs Smooth shampoo series. I used to use Aveda Rosemary & Mint Purifying Shampoo as well as the Redken one which used to be my favourite.

This one is better than all of the others. I like this a lot. Will buy full size when I finish this trial bottle.
