I really, really like this dry shampoo on day 3-5 hair between washes. It is the only dry shampoo I’ve tried (other than Together Beauty’s Life in the Fast lane dry shampoo, Sephora pleeease bring it back) that seriously absorbs oil, adds a tone of volume, and doesn’t leave a white cast.

I have very dark brown hair/roots and although there is a little bit of white powder in my hair when I initially spray it on, it totally disappears when I massage it in or brush it. The only single issue I have with it is that it has a tendency to dry out my hair.

I have very dry, thick, somewhat coarse and wavy hair to begin with so if your hair isn’t dry you may not experience this problem. I alternate between this and Crown Affair’s dry shampoo (which I also really like) depending on how greasy my roots are.

For reference I’ve tried dry shampoo from Amika, Living Proof, Playa, R&Co, Oribe, Batiste, Kristen Ess, and Onesta and have had at least one major issue with all of them from scent or irritation to not being absorbent enough to actually making my hair more greasy (looking at you Kristen Ess).

The fore mentioned 3 are by far the best I’ve found. IkG’s is definitely the most absorbent by far.

This dry shampoo is not for the faint of heart. It is serious! I have greasy hair… as in gets greasy same day i wash it sometimes (if I let it air dry) and is greasy by day 2 for sure. This product can make me go 4-5 days without washing and I don’t re-apply every day.

But it is heavy. I spray it on at night if I can remember or early/first thing in the AM to let it marinate and soak all the oil up. It gives my hair a rough texture but I personally like it… adds a bit of body to my normally greasy and flat roots and helps hold a style better (I have fine hair).

It goes on WHITE. Which is why sleeping with it in is best… the whiteness is gone by morning. You need to blend it quite a bit if doing same day if you have darker hair/roots. however i do this too quite often.

But it truly is the best dry shampoo on the market (IMO). Doesn’t smell great but the smell doesn’t last/linger in your hair. Highly recommend. I’ll never use another brand again… and I’ve tried them alllll.

I especially like it because a bottle lasts me way longer than other dry shampoos which you have to constantly re-apply. This is a one and done-er. Until your next wash cycle.

I love this shampoo. It really does the job taking care of my #itchy dry scalp. Bonus it works fast. Your head feels great after using it. Con it’s extremely expensive. The bottle is small. You go through a bottle in no time at all.

This works so well. It does the job. I use this every once in a while. It lathers my hair really well. And I love the smell of this. I don’t think it needs improvement. It removes all of the dandruff.

It also leaves my hair smelling nice. I am satisfied with this product.

This stuff works after one use. After second use, no more itchy scalp. Downside is the this shampoo is very drying and will literally will leave my hair “ squeaky clean”. Meaning too much moisture is stripped from my hair.

Bought this a few months ago and it’s good. I have Afro Caribbean hair and use this to get rid of the burning smell after straightening my hair and it does the job and smells great ! Doesn’t leave any white bits or residue either.

I have black hair and have always run into the problem of standard dry shampoos (white) leaving me looking grey or powdery. This dry shampoo works amazing! A little bit goes a long way, and it smells very herbal and chocolatey.

The smell is strong, so if you don’t like your hair smelling like an herbal hot chocolate, then this is not for you. My downsides to using this product — it’s like a large spice shaker and leave a huge mess for me.

I really wanted to love this dry shampoo… however it just didn’t live up to my expectations. Pros: -smells really nice and fresh and in it’s name citrus -budget-friendly only $5 at target Con: – literally did nothing for my hair.

I would spray it 2 to 3 times following the instructions closely but still barely getting any results besides my hair smelling really nice. My hair was still oily afterwards and I was left feeling disappointed.

For its price point it is definitely an eye catcher as it’s budget friendly. However I would advise against buying it and just save your couple of dollars towards a better investment of a dry shampoo.

I’m brunette and my hair gets oily super quickly (like day two). I can never get most dry shampoos to work on my hair. I’ve tried a ton of different brands and the one I usually use is batiste. The only way I can get the “my hair isn’t oily trust me” look is if I use so much that it makes me my hair feel so gross and chalky.

This product feels like nothing and makes my hair look like wash day hair any day of the week. It does have a stronger scent but it goes away with time. I would highly recommend this dry shampoo for brunettes and blondes because while it does leave alittle white residue it goes away as soon as you go to fluff out your hair.

This stuff is the best!!! I’ve tried at least 25 diff dry shampoos, from $6 to $30 and this is the absolute best I’ve come across. I used to find this at Walmart, but then they quit carrying it and I ran out and just started trying other brands, but nothing really compares to this.

I found twin pack at Sam’s Club and was ecstatic! A few sprays delivers SO MUCH volume to my fine, limp and oily hair. I make sure to massage in really well and brush out. This gives me at least 1-2 days where I can cheat without a shampoo.

Tried this dry shampoo as a step up from cheaper alternatives as I thought it was going to do wonders for my hair. However, this product has left me incredibly disappointed not only by its performance, but the price too.

At first, this product worked well to tackle my very oil/greasy hair. It was surprisingly easy to use and it was able to aim the powder in the section I was working on with relative precision. The powder was surprisingly light and absorbed the oils fairly quickly whilst also being pleasantly volumising, something I thoroughly enjoyed.

There was a small amount of product lost here and there with every sprinkle, but not so much as I had originally anticipated. The product lasted quite a long time and I only needed to mildly reply in more pesky areas after my original use.

You don’t need to use loads as a couple of sprinkles will work well in absorbing a good amount of oil. The produce itself also lasts a deceptively long time. I’ve been using it for around 2 months on a near daily basis and its nowhere near half finished.

However, that is as far as the positives take me. It takes quite a vigorous massaging to get the product properly absorbed into the hair. If not done properly, it leaves a noticeable white cast on your hair and scalp.

It also seems you need to sprinkle it multiple times to cover all the areas you were aiming for as it will mainly stay in the areas it was originally applied on rather than absorbing into other spots.

After applying it, the powder leaves my hair feeling dry, crusty, and matted, as though I had dipped my head in talcum powder. It seems to clump everything together and makes brushing my hair very difficult.

I have tried multiple products (equate, matrix, living proof) that give adequate results without too much build up or leaving my hair flat.

This. is horrible! Did not soak up anything on the very next day after a full shampoo and blow out the day before! My hair was a flat, shiny (not in a good way) hot mess. My daughter loves this brand but is a hard pass for me.

I will pick up more of my drybar brand that never lets me down!.

It really does it’s job, probably due to the effect of the clay. However, because of that it does dry out the scalp as well and makes my scalp itchy through out the day and leaves this dandruff-y layer on top? If I scratch it, it comes off my scalp in clusters like large flakes of dandruff.

Not attractive. It also isn’t fully invisible like it claims. I don’t spray a lot at all, maybe 2 quick passes in the same area, and I get a grey cast that isn’t easily removed even after brushing it out.

Your hair looks dusty, so do be conscious of that if you have dark hair. Another thing to mention is the scent. It does smell nice but is strong. This powder spray also leaves the air around you dusty.

I have to hold my breath when using this as the smoke lingers for at least 2 mins. So with all that being said, I like it but, would not repurchase. I am currently using one from Amika and I prefer that one and is also a better value.

Made the switch from dry at which irritated my scalp. After trying several other high end brands I recently tried playa. So far I love it! The smell is really lovely – like a natural woodsy floral? There is no cakey residue.

Spraying a little of the dry shampoo in before I exercise and then spraying a little more after my hair has dried, and combing it through, really helps keep my hair looking, smelling, and feeling shower fresh! There is so sticky or powdery residue left behind, and there are no irritating chemicals that flare up my scalp psoriasis like the other dry shampoos I’ve tried in the past.

This product has an amazing, light scent. It is light weight and does not leave a residue that you can see or feel. It does not build up upon continued use, and it actually makes my hair look, feel, and smell clean after several days of use along with exercise.

I have to admit I was really excited to try Playa’s dry shampoo but I am quite disappointed. You need quite a bit of it to work and it gives off a noxious fume of fake fragrances. I have to go outside to use it as I am unable to breath in the “natural” product.

Most of the primary ingredients are chemicals with hard to pronounce names. When I opened the box it came in there was a massive box with tons of wasteful packaging for a 10 oz sized bottle. It comes with a recycling package to send back your empty containers but it is not even prepaid and you need to coordinate with UPS in order to send it out.

I am disappointed by this greenwashed product and won’t be buying anything from them again.
