20 Best Dress Pants For Curvy Figures (2023 Updated)

The fabric is nice and the colors are true to their name. These are American-sized pants and are accurately described in the size chart. I wish they came with blazers because it is very difficult to find women’s business attire with belt loops.

These pants have functional loops and functional pockets.

I love these pants! They fit so well and are very flattering. The length is perfect and they are roomy in the hips yet don’t gap at the waist, which is a problem I’ve had with pants from other brands.

I bought a pair several years ago and they have held up amazingly well.

These pants are gorgeous, but I do wish they came in 2P. These are a little loose in the waist and hips. I am 5’1, 113 pounds. Usually 4P in other brands a a bit smaller. But I like this style and will wear a belt with these.

My daughter was waiting on her JROTC AF uniform to arrive. She needed a Navy blue suit and so I chose this one. Very nice and professional looking. My daughter Carrie’s most her weight in her hips and backside and these fit perfect.

She normally wears a 20/22 in pants but I opted for so 24 in these because of the slim fit and they fit her perfectly.

The fabric is very nice. I couldn’t get the color I was after though. I wanted a taupe khaki color. This is not it. Also, pants clasp at center front is cumbersome and would be hard to secure, especially when in a hurry using a public restroom like at airport, etc.

And finally, yes, fairly nice fabric, but the cost of these pants is JUST TOO HIGH for me.

I love these pants. The quality of the material is superb. I was looking for a nice fitting dress pants. These are perfect for wearing to church or going anywhere where you want to dress more than casual.

I intend to buy more. Hope they can come in other colors. I bought black, blue, and brown.

These fit a true curvy body type. No gap in the back. Pant legs are wide so as not to be tight on upper thigh. Material is very comfortable, not stretchy and does not feel like polyester. It’s not too thin but also not too thick.

I will be able to wear these all summer long to work. They are very flattering and professional. I bought a size 12 for a 5’4″, 165lb frame. They were also easy to hem.

These are great slacks! I can wear them for dress and for casual functions. They look great with boots, flats or heels. The thing that I love best about these slacks is the fact that they are classic cut.

They are not those tight fitting, skinny cut or that ankle length cut which I absolutely hate. They are truly “classic cut” slacks/pants.

great fitting, high quality trousers. Still needed some minor tailor adjustments to take in the waist in the small of the back but this is due to my body shape being smaller-waisted with curvy hips. I really don’t expect anything to every fit me 100% perfect and always have to take it to the tailor to get it customized.

These pants are AMAZING! If I had tried on 20 pairs of pants at a store, I wouldn’t have found a pair that fit as well as these. They fit my thighs and butt (curvy) but are perfect at the waist (slim) and the length is perfect (tall).

Bonus: sat in the dryer for 2 days and not even a wrinkle.

I really wanted to keep these. They’re good quality and nicely made. They were big all around, though, and especially large through the waist. They may be perfect for someone who’s straighter through the waist/hips.

Pants that came were labeled curvy fit. Not in the description when I bought them. Looked like clown pants on me. Sent them back. Bummer.

I like the fit of the new super stretch pants but the fabric is a little think and noisy compared to previous years. I wear talls and it is hard to get any variety of tall pants with a straight leg in plus sizes.

The only color that is available is black. I do not need curvy. Also, it would be nice if you could offer free returns. I don’t have any stores that I can go try the pants on to see if they will fit and I am paying shipping and handling both ways just to try on pants unfortunately.

I cannot say enough good things about these pants. I bought 7 pair (to replace the 3 pair I’ve been wearing for several years!). They are the only pants I wear to work and they wash and dry beautifully.

The instructions say not to throw them in the dryer, but I have washed and dried them literally HUNDREDS of times and they hold up extremely well and do not fade. They are also super comfortable and flattering.

I’m a curvy gal with big hips, but these pants always look professional and are the perfect length for me (I’m 5’3” tall).

I have very large feet. When an end of season sale comes, I like to order shoes to try on to fit my large feet. 10 pairs ordered, only 2 fit. 9 pairs were absolute poor quality. The discount price on the shoes was too high for the quality.

When I went to return, only 3 pairs were returnable, due to final sale. I was not aware of the final sale policy. I was so excited to possibly add on some cute shoes, and now I am STUCK with shoes that don’t fit.

I am so disappointed, and out a lot of money.

Good workpants. Hit at ankle for me (5’6). High-rise waist is nice for work. Once you wash and dry (low heat) and get out of dryer immediately they stay relatively wrinkle free. I have bought 5 pairs so far.

They are a good “go to” pant for comfort and style. Quality is of course not high end but good enough to last at least 2 seasons. I can’t find high-rise work pants that won’t break the bank but these did the trick.

am 5’7, 145 lbs and am mostly just legs. I have been searching everywhere for work pants that are comfortable but are also long enough to reach my ankles. Everywhere I go, I find office pants that are either too short, fit me too tight in weird places, and are not high waisted if they’re long.

I’m usually a 4 in pant sizes, and these fit me perfectly. They feel really comfortable to wear walk around in and sit in all day. I am so impressed with these pants, I will absolutely be buying more.

These pants are AWESOME! I was not expecting the thickness of these pants! They DO NOT look or feel like yoga pants, but like real dress pants, but are EXTREMELY comfortable and have a good bit of tummy control! I’m pleasantly surprised by this purchase.

I would suggest sizing down if you want a good snug fit in the leg. I am 5’3” 137lb and bought both a 2.

I read the other reviews about these shrinking and figured it must be user error. I was very careful to wash them only on cold and dry on low. They still shrunk the very first wash before I even got a chance to wear them! 🙁 For reference, the other curvy sloans I recently purchased (different color) came out perfect and are my favorite.

I work in a professional atmosphere and I have been on the hunt for great work trousers FOR-EVER. The day before I went to Ann Taylor I had a miniature meltdown in the dressing room of another store after trying on ten pairs of pants, all of which did not fit correctly (I’m 5’11 and these pants made me look like I was preparing for a flood or gave me the worst camel toe outside of the Sahara Desert).

The Seasonless Stretch Pant is an Ann Taylor staple. The cut and fit of the pant provides a quintessential silhouette that is timeless. The fabric of the pant is very slimming and it drapes beautifully.

It is reminiscent of the style pant that Ann Taylor offered back in 2002-2003 when they lined all of their dress pants. I would still love for them to go back to that – lining their dress pants. But, this is the next best thing.

The best part of this style is that it can be dressed up or down and it never loses its shape. I would ask that Ann Taylor keep the Seasonless Stretch style consistently available – in Straight, Flare, and Ankle in every size, including size 18.

I really wanted to love these pants. I was excited to have a curvy fit option. I am thin but curvy, and it is very hard to find pants that fit right. I like the feel of the material and they would be great work pants.

However, the pants are too big for me. I am 5’6” and 145 lbs. I usually wear a size 6, but maybe could fit a size 4 in these pants. The fit was better than other pants, but there was still gaping at the waist.

Also, the pants are longer than I thought. I would need to wear high heels and/or have the pants hemmed. Not that big of a deal, but coupled with the waist gaping, I think these will need to be returned.

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a size chart for curvy bottoms, so it is hard to figure out what size to order.

Nice fit and length. Very comfortable. I probably could have gotten a size 3 instead of 4 if size 3 was available. The size 4 is not too noticeably large. I think a 3 would make the slacks appear to have more of a tailored look.

Usually a “petite,” I ordered my normal size and hemmed to the right length. I love these pants and how they fit and stretch! As other reviewers noted, the fabric is quite thick, so it adds some “weight” but without the warmth.

I do expect to still be able to wear these during our Pacific Northwest summer (all but the hottest of days), as they are still breathable. To me, the “compression” aspect is not restrictive (don’t think of them as Spanx), but that might be the size I chose; they are more form fitting than trousers, but the ponte knit adds great stretch and comfort — and did not sag over the course of a day.

Overall quality is wonderful, so I expect these to be a wardrobe staple for several years.

I’m glad I purchased this pants, because the weigh of the fabric is very nice. They don’t need a lining. The fabric is soft and supple. It’s the kind of material that fits and remains in place. No sagging.

They fit like a “second skin”, Is probably the best way I can describe them.

I was SO excited about these pants. I can’t wear jeans to work, but felt like these could serve the same purpose. I wore these to work all day and noticed they were stretching out. However, I didn’t realize quite how badly it was until my husband came home and literally laughed out loud and said “What is with your pants??”.

I look in the mirror and was horrified that I walked around like that all day – they stretched out so much they looked like balloon pants. They were saggy in the thighs, knees, and rear. I am going to try to return these but am not sure Loft will allow it.

They should though – no pant should stretch out that much!!! So embarrassing!!.

I have really struggled to find work pants that fit me and I was so excited after trying these on that I bought 4 pairs in different colors. After washing my navy and black pairs for the first time, the color ran horribly and they now have splotchy patches that look like they were bleached.

I have never used bleach in my washer or had something similar happen with other laundry. The lavender and khaki washed fine, but wrinkled so much throughout the work day that I was embarrassed to leave my desk.

I can at least still wear the lighter colors if I am willing to endure the wrinkles, but I wasted my money on the black and navy as they are unwearable now.

The pant look very nice but mine got ruined in shipping. When I got it the package was ripped and where the package was cut with some kind of rollers or something it also had got oil or some kind of black mark on my pants.

If it wasn’t for sipping those pants would have been perfect I love the material I would have got them all together but now I have a black spot I don’t think what come out.

They are perfect ! Exactly what I want looking for and fit perfectly. Look exactly like the photo. And look great on.

I have not this whole set but i use individually few products. Those products i used before that are good pant is best and also quality is also good but i haven’t this this pant set. But i used some of them they are very nice and good quality also.

These are great pants. They fit well, even though they’re elastic waist they don’t sag. I love these pants. Wish they came in gray and navy. For the price I may get a couple more pair. Great for the office.

The pants were great I ordered a 16 short. It was either not marked right or its for taller women They pants were way to long. Normally when I get pants this size they fit but not these.

The picture looks like the pants may be boot cut. Theyre more of a wide leg fit. Im curvy so I always need something thats roomy in the hips but still fitted for a feminine look. And I have thin legs.

These pants fit really wide throughout.

I Love Alfani pieces and these pants did not disappoint. Perfect fit with a little extra room as with most Alfani items. Easy to clean, quality fabric stays wrinkle free, dress up well with blouse and pumps for court and pair up perfect with a tee and sandals for casual! Travel well!!!.

Too wrinkled to wear! Must be ironed! I haven’t worn them yet so don’t know how they would wear. Only pair of slacks from Alford Dunner that I haven’t been satisfied with. I am 81 yrs young and don’t iron clothes anymore.

I may try wearing them around the house instead of jeans. Did not try them on before washing them so don’t know if they shrunk but they are too tight to be comfortable. Material feels very durable. I should have read the description better, just assumed all Alford Dunner slacks were the same.

These are nicely made slacks (cotton + spandex) with just the right amount of stretch. They were too long before I washed them. I fully dried them in the dryer and they came out exactly the right length! If you like the length when you first try them on, I’d suggest you hang them to dry or only partially dry them in the dryer.

They came out of the dryer ready to wear-no ironing needed. I chose the 18W and they fit my “curvy” figure quite nicely but I would like the waist to be a little tighter. The pockets are strangely short.

This is a good quality pant and I expect them to last several years. (I’ve had other Alfred Dunner cotton slacks that have lasted) The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they’re a little pricey.

The catalog does not indicate that these pants are suitable for Plus Size women. I was shocked to see how huge and baggy size 14 pants can be – especially in 2023, when the style is more slender, slim-fitting pants.

I don’t like the very body-clinging ones that are geared more to younger bodies, and thought Blair would provide something more classic: straight line and not tight, but contemporary-slimline. These are completely unsatisfactory – at least for me.

These were nice leggings and well made but the 2 pairs I bought at Kohls, especially the gray ones, were heavier knit material and the waistband on those was about 1 inch wider. Nevertheless, I think these will wash and wear fine.

The new style Vera Wang went too has a very wide waist area and the fiton those isn’t as nice as this older style which is now discontinued. If anyone else is trying to find them, look for the package with a photo of a woman’s knees and legs sitting down to get the right product.

These faux leather leggings are so much better than I had expected. They seemed small when I went to put them on, but they have plenty of stretch that I could’ve even sized down one for an extra bit of sucking in.

These are not uncomfortable, they’re just right! Get them, you won’t regret it! (They also have a faux leather black camo).

The pants were comfortable soft well made. Wash them three times and they still look brand new. Would buy them again affordable and well-made quality.

The curvy slim boot is a staple in my closet; these are the best pants on the market for my daily routine in the office. This new version is cotton/poly/spandex as opposed to rayon/poly/spandex – not as soft a feel, but a “crisper” presentation.

I have not worn them yet to the office so cannot speak to how they wear throughout the day. The updated version is sized smaller than in the past – I have 4’s and 6’s in my closet that fit – the new additions are size 8 so you might want to order a size up.

The extended tab on the waistband is gone. On the one hand, it was a nice feature when it laid flat. On the other hand, the more recent versions did not always stay flat, and over time the color would wear off the metal edge, so fewer worries now.

This is a more streamlined, clean look. My one plea to WHBM is to please keep more curvies in stock; the curvy sizes come and go very fast because that is the actual shape of ladies. Also, a traditional boot leg is always more flexible.

Let me emphasize again ~ grateful for these great pants.

After shopping at WHBM for the past 13 years and knowing all of my sizes I was totally amazed at the terrible fit of these pants. I ordered my usual size of 0 Petite and they were tight thru the hips, thighs and longer than stated in the description.

The description stated that the length would be 28 inches when in fact it was 29. The fabric was nice and had good weight but I would never wear dress pants that were so snug as to show every line of your underwear.

My measurements and my weight have been the same for years and my new Pret A Pedi pants in size 0 Petite are the perfect fit. I am not sure what is going on with WHBM sizing but things have definitely changed and not for the better.

I will not trust buying anymore dress pants at WHBM until this sizing issue is corrected. You should check your reviews because I am not the only one noticing this problem lately. Very disappointed that now I have to go thru the lengthy return process–what a waste of time ):

In WHBM bottoms, I normally wear a 2 in dress slacks and a 4 in jeans. So I ordered my regular size. I could not even button the size 2. I then sized up to a 4 and could button them, but they were still so tight that they were uncomfortable.

This is not the first time WHBM has been inconsistent in pants or dress sizing, which is terribly frustrating. Why can WHBM get it right in tops (mostly consistent) but cannot figure out how to do so with bottoms? Why does my wardrobe range from 0s to 6s that fit the same way? I really wanted these beautiful plum pants – they would be surprisingly neutral for much of my wardrobe.

The color is rich – a true plum that is mostly purple with the slightest suggestion of an underlying red. So disappointed.

I first bought these in green to go with my Velvet bodysuit in Emerald. I bought the 1x because they we’re out of Xl… and that was an AWESOME move! If you have a nice size butt you will wanna do the same… it fit perfectly…EXCEPT… they DIDN’T WANT TO ZIP! I had to call my son in to help me and even then we had to go very slow, so as not to break that little CHINTZY zipper.

(C’mon FN!!) Anyway… once they were zipped… HONEYYYY… The FIT of the slacks was AMAZING!! Then I saw my legs in the mirror… these pants show EVERY PIECE OF CELLULITE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT HAVING! So I pulled them off and got a pair of THIN leggings with the FLEECE inside… ( which I also got from FN) and PROBLEM SOLVED! It was so successful I bought two more pair in Black and Brown… but It didn’t work as well… These two colors fit differently than the green… They both FIT like a 1X… I mean I don’t even have to unzip them to take them off! And even though they are bigger… they STILL SHOW MY CELLULITE just as much as the green ones!! I had no idea different COLORS could fit so differently… so just be aware that all of these slacks are NOT equal!.

I love these. Good quality mid weight fabric, great stretch. I would say size down in these, I wear a small/3 in fashion nova bottoms, and a size small/0-2 in jeans from regular retailers. I had to size down in these.

First I ordered my usual small, and because of the stretch it was way too big, especially around the thighs and bum (I am petite, 5’3, 130lbs, curvy but not a huge booty). I sent that back and re-ordered the XS and it fits perfectly.

I am getting them hemmed though because they’re too long. Even with heels they’re a bit longer then I like. But it’s not a big deal, I’m short, it’s not the first time I’m getting something tailored lol.

Plus, I want to be able to wear them with trainers as well as heels. And they look fab dressed up or down. I’ll be back for more colours at some point. Totally worth it.

Very nice stretch material and great colors. I’m waiting for the red to come back in a 2x. Nice fit. Good for casual wear at work or dress up. I’m 5’10 and had to have them hemmed but I was glad that they were too long rather than too short or I would have sent them back.

I’ve had these pants for 2 weeks now and I absolutely love them! It’s like wearing leggings, but they look more professional. They have front pockets and back pockets and a double button in the front (one on the outside, one on the inside) which I prefer to the little metal clasp on other pants.

I ordered a size 20 tall (I’m 5’10, not much junk in the trunk and a little heavier around the middle than I’d like) and they are perfect. They go on like butter and are comfortable all day long. My only issue was that after about an hour the first time I wore them, I noticed a small tear in the back by the belt loop.

I’m not sure if they came like this or if I managed to catch them on something, but I stitched it up and you can’t even tell. I want to wear these to work every day! They look good with an over sized sweater (casual) or a nice blouse/top for work or going out.

I will definitely get another paid of these pants. (I have washed them twice, hung on a drying rack and then put them in the dryer on low for less than 10 minutes to get rid of any remaining lint/animal fur that didn’t come off in the wash.

I was excited to see these pants because I loved the way the bermuda shorts fit. These are nothing like those. Before I even put them on, I noticed the butt and waist area seemed MUCH larger than the legs.

I put them on and they felt pretty good, but I could definitely tell they were bigger from the thighs up. After about one hour of wearing them, I found myself constantly pulling them up. They became SO big that I could literally slide them off without even unbuttoning or unzipping them! I tried washing and drying them (low heat) but the same exact thing happened the next time I wore them.

It felt like I was wearing a diaper because of how badly the material sagged. I don’t think sizing down would help because the legs fit the way they should. I’ve never had such a problem with Torrid pants before.

I am always a size 14.

These pants are just ok. I have a big belly, and usually wear a torrid size 26. The 26s where on the large size but fit when i first put them on. After a few hours of work that included standing and sitting, they had turned into parachute pants.

I compared the waist band when i got home to a pair i hadnt worn yet, and i kid you not the waist has stretched out almost 8 inches. I returned the other pair of 26s i bought and purchased 24s instead, same thing.

Slightly snug in the morning, and by mid afternoon it felt like i was wearing a potato sack for pants. I also had to cut out the belly-smoothing fabric on the inside of the 24s, it was causing a major belly flub camel toe.

Torrid is telling the truth when they say this fabric is super stretchy, it stretches out (to a fault) but not back. All in all i dont love these and wont buy again, but they will serve their purpose as work pants until i can find something else.

I usually always love WHBM pants and jeans. For sizing, I am very consistent. However, I have to agree with the other reviewers in that the sizing of these pants is way off. The waist is incredible small.

Strangely enough, I already have the same pair from last year which fit perfectly. I ordered another when they became available again because they are a work staple, and I was so disappointed in the fit.

I have no idea why there is suddenly so much inconsistency in these pants. Thank you to the other reviewers for seeing the same problem. I wish I had listened. I hadn’t expected a difference since I already owned the pants.

I bought the black pair and I am very disappointed. I have the slim fit in many colors from years past and I don’t like the high waist at all. I am a mid rise girl and all pants in the past have been mid rise.

There needs to be a little bit more stretch in the waist. I normally wear a 2 and WHBM pants are usually a little loose on me but these pants were really tight in the waist and if I sized up the pants would be big everywhere else.

Please bring back the dress Ponte pants. They were high quality and kept their shape all day long. I really miss them.

I just received my first pair of these after ordering online and snatching up one of the last few pairs available. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they are one of the two best fitting pants that I’ve found at Talbots.

I have a slim hourglass shape and only the curvy styles fit, yet there are so few available. I don’t do short, cropped, jeggings, or ankle anymore, so I mostly have to buy somewhere else. If the ankle styles came in a long (size 2 curvy), I would buy them.

The Hampshire and the Cambridge styles have an awkward fit for me. This cut is truly perfect for me, and they don’t have those vertical pockets that stick out a,like rabbit ears and make my hips look bigger.

I also recommend the (perfect?) curvy jeans and I liked the curvy ankle jeans in the past when they ran a little longer and they also had size 2 curvy longs. The ankle pants and jeans have been running too short these days for me and I’m only 5’4″.

More colors and fabrics in this cut would be appreciated. (I wanted to give them a 4. 5 rating and settled for a 4. ).

I really love everything about these chinos… Except the waist is way too huge, especially for what is to be a curvy size, where the waist is significantly smaller than the hips. They fit great in my hips/butt/thighs, but gaps terrifically at the waist, like there is no difference in how they measured the waist/hips.

This really wouldn’t be a problem with cancer I plan on doing a lot of tucking in and big sweaters over, but these are for warmer months, so I think the big nest of the waist would bother me under just like a T-shirt.

May return. My findings might be different in other sizes; I ordered a 0P.

Just received my first pair and I’m thrilled! These pants fit me perfectly. The fabric is so soft. I’ve been an LL Bean shopper for a very long time. They’ve recently stopped carrying curvy and I’ve been searching ever since.

Can’t believe I’ve never shopped here but now that I’ve found Talbots ill buy one in every color.
