20 Best Dove Body Wash For Men (2023 Updated)

I have used dove invisible solid powder scent for over 15 years. It was the only deodorant I could wear and feel confident all day. Recently I noticed a night and day change in your product. If its a new formula, it truly is terrible.

I use to be able to wear your product all day without reapplying, now I can’t make it past noon without having to reapply and even then I am very self conscious throughout the day. I truly am sad that this product doesn’t work effectively anymore.

Changed the formula for the Invisible Solid Powder Fresh. Will you stop changing things Dove? I cannot use the new formula. It breaks me out and it is not invisible anymore. You changed the Dove Moisturizing Body Wash and I used the new body wash one time and was dry and itchy.

I had to find another body moisturizer to help my dry skin. Now I will have to find a new deoderant. ** Everything doesn’t have to be vegan, plant based, gluten free, etc. What next? You will change your famous bar soap to be plant based? Dove was a reliable product but I am not so sure anymore.

The stick goes on smoothly and works for about a month. Then the problem starts when you take a shower it’s impossible to wash off the residue. It feels like a tacky waterproof film that soap can’t penetrate.

At least Dove soap is not strong enough. I just tried Dial and that wasn’t strong enough. I tried shampoo thinking it is meant to breakdown the oils in your hair. I am about to get some vinegar from the kitchen and stopped to vent my frustration.

This was the first and last time I buy.

It took a few uses for me to gain confidence in this product due to my traumatic experiences with other pads through the years. My periods have always been so stressful and nerve wracking due to very heavy periods.

I have had so many situations where I bled through onto my clothing, or my bed. I have had ZERO LEAKS since using these!!! I can finally wear my best underwear anytime without worry that they will be ruined, and finally sleep without putting towels under me while I sleep! If you have had these issues, these pads will definitely change your life for the better! Coupons seem to be available fairly often, making the price a little better.

This is one of my husbands go to mens body washes. This Dove Mens Body Wash in Extra Fresh lathers really well. My husband loves that it is a body and face wash in one. The fragrance is manly but not overpowering and has some citrus notes that I can smell.

We both love that the fragrance lasts on his skin for almost all day. It’s nice because sometimes he smells so good, that I think he has cologne on. That is how good they stay power is. Our kids have had to use this a time or two, both have sensitive skin and neither had any issues with irritation.

We also love that this body wash is affordable. It is definitely one that will always stay in rotation.

My husband absolutely love this product. It was so good on my dry skin. It moisturized without leaving lotion behind. Love the old formula not that much the new formula the scent is a little bit overpowering and smells more artificial.

Doesn’t feel as good on the skin the new formula. Dove please bring back the old formula. Dove change package if you want but sure don’t change the formula because of commercial motives because your loyal customer depends on it.

Don’t like at all to go hunt for other body wash with the good characteristics as you have with the old formula.

I have used Dove Men Care body wash for a few years, and enjoy the product. Looking forward to the new botanical versions. But I still wish that product came in a better bottle! Why must the opening be at the BASE of the container? This leads to leaking, and the inconvenience of snapping the bottle closed before placing it back on the shower shelf.

Usually I use Dove Men body soap, but noticed my skin was kind of dry and wanted to try something else. I noticed this product that said it was new. I like the fresh/woodsy scent. It is relaxing and doesn’t feel like it dries my skin out.

I wish there were other products by Dove Men that used this scent (deodorant/shampoo). I’m happy with my purchase.

This body wash has a fresh and pleasant scent. I purchased this blindly (online and based on reviews) for my husband, but really for me because I prefer mild scents. What I like most about this scent is that it’s soft enough for me, which I discovered when it was the only soap in the shower.

I did not give it five stars only because the scent, though very pleasing by nose against the open bottle, is barely detectable after bathing.

First off, Dove has really upped their game with the Men Care line since it came out. Fragrance and packaging are significantly improved and elevated. That said, this is not one of them. While it does smell clean, the lime smell is so acrid, it smells like a household cleaner.

It leaves your skin feeling clean and is invigorating, but the scent is not for me. I noticed the Charcoal Clove scent was discontinued at Target and I don’t understand why given that scent was a million times better than this kitchen cleaner.

Definitely smell this one before you buy.

This new line of Dove Men body wash is really great! I’ve used their traditional body washes for years with great results – mostly for the scents, but they do a great job at just getting you clean. With this new hydrating body wash, the smell is not only fantastic and rich, it seems I have to use a smaller amount to achieve a full-bodied lather.

The one drawback is the price, but with using less, things balance out a bit. Don’t let that hold you back – pick some up soon!.

My husband absolutely loves this body wash by Dove Men + Care, the eucalyptus cedar smells phenomenal. The 18oz bottle usually lasts a good amount of time and has now become part of my husband’s hygiene routine.

The bottle is very attractive, it’s see-through so you can see the color of the body wash which is super cool. The new relaxing formula is made with essential oils eucalyptus & cedar, it’s a plant-based body wash and made with natural ingredients.

The scent alone relaxes the senses and definitely delivers a refreshing feeling. The scent stays on my husband all day so you most definitely will be pleased with the overall shower experience. There are other scented body washes to choose from but overall, this one is my husband’s favorite.

I had high expectations of this body wash considering my previous experiences (all great) with other products within Dove’s Men’s Care product line. This soap’s texture is very thick, which seemed promising.

Squeezing the liquid onto your hand or washcloth, you’ll notice how almost gel-like the substance is, it creates a very rich lather! The fragrance is where this soap really hits the mark! It’s fresh, and aromatic, with a masculine and yet floral musk that just makes using this soap so enjoyable in the shower! Upon rinsing the soap off my body, however, is where the product fails.

The soap leaves a discernible layer on your skin that feels sticky, almost like wax. Not sure if this soap contains parabens or wax, but it feels that way as the product, unfortunately, does not rinse well.

I’ve been a huge fan of Dove products. I have eczema, but usually have found Dove soaps to be gentile on the skin and keeps me moisturized. This new product has actually been a bit of a disappointment.

Initially I liked the idea of having a self-lathering soap and the ability to not have to use a loofah or scrubbie, but then I realized there were two downfalls with this product. The first one is that it just takes too many pumps of soap per shower.

Because the soap is already foamed up, each pump doesn’t cover much of my body. The bottle claims 250 pumps per bottle, but I found myself using about 6-10 pumps per shower. That’s not very cost effective, and probably would create a good amount of environmental waste.

The second is, because it foam and doesn’t cover much of the body, I don’t feel like I’m getting a very good clean, as if I were using a bar of soap or a scrubbie and normal body wash. Each of the latter lasts longer and can be used to scrub and lather for a good clean.

The other downside of this foaming body wash is, I don’t feel like it doesn’t do as good of a job of moisturizing my skin, which is important when you have eczema. It’s definitely not my favorite Dove product, but it’s not horrible.

It might be a better fit for people without eczema who need more moisturizing in their soaps. The smell is refreshing, but because you can’t rub it in too much, it doesn’t last too long after the shower (that’s good or bad depending on personal preference).

This was my first box received for testing, so I was very excited to see how it went. I’ve tried Dove men’s body wash in the past and wasn’t really a fan, but figured the foam might be a better experience.

The packaging is nice and I like the pump, which makes it easier to dispense the product. It says it lasts 250+ pumps, so I figured it would last me a while. The first time I used it, I just used my hand to lather my body, as I figured I didn’t need a loofah to keep the lather going.

I used one pump at a time, but ended up needing six pumps to finish showering (250 didn’t seem like so much all of a sudden). The scent is pleasant enough, though nothing special. The foam didn’t last too long, but it rinsed quickly, which would be good if I were in a rush.

After finishing and rinsing off, I had the sensation of my skin being dry (despite not drying off yet). It’s hard to explain unless you know the feeling, but it’s pretty much the most frustrating thing I’ve experienced with different body washes.

The reason I settled on the one I usually use is that I feel absolutely moisturized after rinsing off and before drying off. Dove Men foaming body wash did not deliver in this important area. I gave it a few more tries, using a loofah at points too to see if that would hold the lather better, but still 5-6 pumps each time, and that dry feeling at the end.

I’ve used it for about a week, and I’m sorry to say I won’t even finish using it, as it’s that disappointing every time I finish showering. #free to try #good thing it was free 😅.

I really like this product. I have to say, it took me a while to get to this point, but it’s true. At first, I found the scent a little too strong, and I found it didn’t lather as much as I liked, but as it turns out, that was actually my fault.

When I first used this foaming wash in the shower, the scent was really strong. As in, REALLY strong. I thought it would stick with me everywhere I went, but after my shower, I only noticed a slight scent lingering that was actually pretty decent and masculine.

My wife liked it, so that’s a plus too. After using it for several days, I realized that it’s not really that strong, I was just used to a different product that had no scent, so the change was just a shock to my system.

Over time, I came to like the scent. Another problem I had at first was that it wouldn’t lather very well. I noticed I had to use 6 or 7 pumps to get enough to wash my body, which seemed like a good way to waste a lot of soap very quickly.

Thinking this stuff would only last a few days, I kept using it, but tried various methods when applying it. I eventually figured out that it does work okay, but it’s not shampoo. I don’t typically use body wash, so using the light lather to wash with was odd, but did work well.

Just like with the scent, I found myself liking it more as I used it more. Overall, it’s a good product. I never thought there would be a learning curve to a body wash, but for me, there was here. I suggest this for any man who didn’t like the harshness of bar soap in the shower, as it works well.

I received this Dove Men’s +care Purifying Charcoal and Clove face and body wash from #topboxcircle and #dove for free to try and review. My husband likes the smell, not only it was great but lasted for a longtime without being overpowering.

The micro-beads gently exfoliate the skin and makes you feel much cleaner, while leaving it nice and soft. When my teenage son discovered this body wash it was a game change for him. Believe me, you don’t want to be around my son after his soccer practice.

This body wash cleans nicely all the dirt, eliminates odors, leaves his skin soft. But most important he doesn’t need to worry about breaking out, like with many other body washes. Only cons is that I wish there was a pump.

I already bought another bottle for my son, to keep him away from our shower. It’s a great product, my boys reccomend it to try.

I had both men in the house try this product when recieved. The first man tried it first thing when he woke up in the morning. He has sensitive skin and found this did not act up his skin at all and he also loved the smell of it.

The second one tried it when he got home from work; which he works construction. He found it was easy to remove dirt with the girttiness but didnt not scrap his skin or leave marks. He also found it did not leave a film feeling like some body washes do.

It provides a nice creamy lather but I was not particularly a fan of the scent. I would like to try other scents at a later date. I am a fan that Dove’s products are cruelty free and that the bottle is 100% recyceable.

5 Star – Original – would recommend 3 Star – 2021 version – bootleg – would not recommend I just got my new batch and I am so disappointed so lost. Why did Dove changed the Scent smell? And watering it down.

Its like “Water Down” liquid and smell does not smell good. It smell like “Water Down” When you ran out so you fill up the bottle with water 2-4 times and use it as a emergency. It’s not rich, strong scent, thick.

Liquid is very watery that water down smell hits you big and fast I don’t enjoy and feel relax as the original, smell good all day. 1st its my Detergent now my body face wash. What is going on???? My girlfriend had a fight with me because she thinks I fill my empty bottle 4+ times in not getting new one.

She even got me a bottle for me. She apologized after I show her 4 new bottles + hers. I thought they improve made It better add something new better for the skin. Please bring back the original scent and thicken Dove Men Deep Clean.

So I have used Dove body wash before, and I currently use Dove Hydrate+ Face Wash. I have liked Doves body washes in the past, but I was not committed to them and just basically went for anything that had a good deal.

However that has changed with this body wash. First off, the packaging is clean and minimal. I love the grayscale look with the touch of blue. It gives it a great manly appearance, while also implying freshness and hydration.

Second, the smell itself makes it worth it. It somehow smells like a cologne, and cold fresh mountain air at the same time. It is a very balanced sent, and one that does not just last in the shower. I noticed that it made my skin actually smell better.

Finally, the wash itself, it made me decide that this is the only body wash I will be using in the forceable future. My skin has never felt better, or lighter. Combined with a loofa, I felt like I was getting a brand new layer of skin every time I came out of the shower.

It is gentle on the skin, and cleans thoroughly, and you don’t have to use half the bottle to get a good clean like most body washes at this price point. I did not use it as a face wash, as I do have sensitive skin when it comes to face washes, and did not want to risk breaking from my routine (the Hydrate+ Face Wash is incredible as well).

However I highly recommend this product, and it will be my go to body wash for sure. Thanks Dove!.

Now I understand that this is marketed for males. But who cares!! I tried this for the first time at my bfs house and love this cleanser for days that I workout. I love that this cleaner is exfoliating and smells great.

I feel like this cleanser also helps give a deeper clean than most cleaners and leaves my skin smooth and fresh.

This body wash works wonders. I would recommend to anyone. Just be aware it kind of smells like shea butter, but it’s not bad at all. It makes my skin feel amazing.

Whether it’s a cotton Oxford button down or a white golf shirt of mixed performance fibers, this deodorant will protect your shirts and stop the sweat. Some tips: Spouse uses his deodorant following his am shower.

Works perfectly and he has zero stains on any of his shirts. If you are an excessive sweater , or perhaps you have a legitimate primary hyperhydrosis diagnoses from your dermatologist you can try putting on the deodorant in the evening following the shower.

It will let the deodorant fully sink into the pores and clog the works overnight, so the theory goes. ( not a doctor just offering information researched on our journey). We’ve both found that clinical strength deodorants remain active on the armpits for a good 24 hours unless one has been excessively sweaty or active.

But for the average person you rarely need to reapply and it’s well worth the price considering how strong it is.

I love the smell of this set. Honestly this is the only deodorant that doesn’t break me out. I have super dry sensitive skin and I hate women’s deodorant I’ve tried every deodorant I could imagine and this was the only one that worked for me.

I work outdoors in FLA and come in contact with all types of trees, bugs and all that is dirty. At the end of the day, I need a body wash that’s not only going to make me smell fresh but also leave me feeling fresh and this one does it.

I love tried plenty others that were “made for men” but this one gets it done. I really feel clean when I’m done and I don’t have to use a ton. It also smells fresh and clean without leaving me feeling like I used my wife’s perfume.

This body wash works great for me. The body wash does a good job with cleaning and you do not need to much to make it effective. The first thing I will say is that the scent is pleasant and long lasting.

It is not overly powerful and provides just the right amount of smell. I would say the smell is a bit linen like if I had to compare. It does not require much to soap up a loofa so you do not need to use too much body wash.

The bottles are not the best. The seal tends to leak a bit of soap out which is a bit annoying but I just scrap it off the lid when I open it. The soap does not cause me any skin irritation or allergic reaction.

The soap washes off easily while leaving your skin moisturized at least for me. I do not feel extremely dry when using this. Overall this is a good body wash set to have. It will last you for quite sometime, it does not have an overly strong smell, and it keeps the skin moist.

The only thing is that I wish the bottle was a tad tighter on the lid.

It is pretty good compared to other brands. It Leaves you squeaky clean after rinse unlike most other brands out there. It is a bit menthol and does have a decent scent. You can expect the same great quality that comes with the brand name.

I have tried EVERY kind of deodorant, I perspire, just like every one else, maybe even more than some. I have even tried mens deodorant, far too many brands to even name. I have also used at least 20+ different kinds/brands of feminine deodorant.

This deodorant is the only one that does not leave my arms feeling chapped, and still fights off odor. Now I mus admit, if you sweat more than most people, and you do a lot of strenuous activities, this deodorant might have to be reapplied during the day or you might want to try the secret active line, but chose a smell that will not react to your own odor in an odd way.

If you have ever used a deodorant with a scent, to all the women out there, you know that certain deodorant scents can actually accentuate the perspiration and create an even harsher smell than your personal body odor alone.

Doves baby powder scent does not add to my odor, it masks it and leaves me feeling clean throughout the day. :).

But those beautiful dreams are gone, because they messed with perfection. The first thing I noticed about the new formula was the smell. It’s overpowering now and smells more artificial. Imagine taking a shower inside a can of air freshener.

It also triggered an intense migraine for me, which didn’t happen with the old formula (one reason I’d loved it). I squeezed out a dime-sized amount to see how the new formula felt and just. no. It doesn’t feel as good on the skin.

After rinsing it off, my skin wasn’t nearly as nice as it was after the old formula. Dove, please bring back the previous formula. I had to throw this out and am now on the hunt for something new.

Although I have not personally tried the men + care products, you can’t go wrong when it comes to Dove brand! I do purchase them for my fiance and he been using the body wash for at least 2 years. Once and awhile I will switch it up and get a different type or fragrance of the men + care body washes, but this one seems to be his ‘go to’ He says that using this body wash and applying the Check Meowt Cosmetics brand cocoa butter lotion or body butter is the perfect combination for his dry skin.

He says those 2 products would be his first 2 choices to have with him stranded on a deserted island. You’d think food n water would be 1st, that’s how dedicated he is to this body wash. that’s a man for ya hahahahaha.

At last I make a simple mistake, it is able to get its tentacles on me, and just as it’s about to devour me whole it would stop and say, “oh wow you smell like a REAL MAN, at last I can not eat you for it would be a true crime to not allow others to smell the alluring scent of crushed cloves, cinnamon sticks, crisp pine, and zesty orange and your skin so soft, oh so soft and silky, is that Shea butter?” I wink and nod yes.

As it swam away it would stop one last time, wave and bid me safe travels. I will be buying another one in the future.

I just love the body wash and shampoo, smells fantastic, and many people have given positive feedback on them! My 16 year old son has been using the deodorant/48 hour antiperspirant since it arrived as I am unable to use antiperspirants.

He had used a competitor’s antiperspirant for 3 years, but has now decided to stay with the Dove Men+Care brand. It works very well at both keeping him dry, and smelling fresh. The body wash is invigorating and rinses away with a squeaky clean feeling left.

The fragrance is perfect! The shampoo is awesome as well. it cleans in just one wash, instead of my normal brand’s 2 washes. My hair is actually softer since I started using this product! Delicious scent. Long lasting scent. Without skin irritation. Gentle. Not overly expensive, but not cheap. It’s a good middle ground that preforms.

First off, I’m hyper vigilant about what goes on my skin. I have sensitive skin that overreacts to nearly everything, from a paltry puff of light breeze to products supposedly created with sensitive-skin-sufferers in mind.

I’ve learned both from research and personal experimentation that strongly perfumed items should generally be avoided. While that’s nearly impossible to do, I do try. Although it’s not perfume-free, the fresh scent of this soap doesn’t overwhelm.

The bigger problem, though, is the fact that this item “cools”. Believe it or not, that “tingling” and “cooling” sensation isn’t your skin enjoying the temperature change. What is it then? It’s your skin screaming out for help because it’s being majorly irritated.

And what’s irritating it? More often than not, it comes courtesy of the most-prevalent and hugely-problematic addition you’ll find in way too many men’s lines: Menthol. The plant extract is uniformly terrible for your skin.

Personally, it inflames my skin, making it look puffy and red, especially on my face. It’s easily the number one thing I seek to avoid in formulations, which is tough to do considering the fact that “Men’s” has practically become shorthand for “This has a ton of menthol in it”.

That’s why it saddens me to report that this Dove (a major brand that, much like Aveeno, I generally credit as being somewhat enlightened when it comes to proper skincare) body and face wash contains menthol just like so many others.

That makes this item a non-starter for me, and gives me an excellent reason to reevaluate the Dove brand altogether. At least it smells nice.
