This is an excellent book because in reading it people will truly see the courage, bravery and dedication of the Americans and American service dogs that responded to the Sept. 11th attacks. The people who did this to America are not our friends and we should be doing everything to protect ourselves, not coddling what they did or who they really are.

This book reveals more about the horror of what happened on Sept. 11th which all too soon people forget. Keep in mind and heart always that all the people and dogs exposed to the airborne debris while serving to rescue the victims more often and likely than not suffered untreatable cancer caused by the airborne debris of the Sept.

11th attacks. Yes people, we America were attacked. This is the sacrifice people and their service dogs made every day to try and rescue the victims of the Sept. 11th attacks. I keep this book out on my coffee table for all to SEE! God bless America and our service dogs always and keep us in God’s safety.

I was a Maryland State Police K-9 Bomb Dog handler in 2001 this day as many you never forget what you were doing. Earlier in the year we had just received The United States Police Canine Association’s Natioanal Detector Dog award for an explosives find in August of 2000.

We were members of the Association and we heard about K-9 Sirius through our members and to know the loss of K-9 partner is like losing a family member. I still wear the braclet to honor Sirius and always tell his story.

also the book carries on page 13 his memorial service with a photograph and a caption. I wanted this book for various reasons but after reading it as a dog handler I knew I wanted to do more. Iam currently training a yellow lab for search and rescue.

Finally my K-9 partner BRANDY a female German Shepherd was one of those dogs that never went to New York but worked the Baltimore/D. C. area for the days and weeks that followed. I will always be grateful to her and all those dogs that gave all to keep us safe and give us hope in the future.

The day the world changed 9/11. This book is about the 4 legged heroes of that day. It is an amazing book at times very emotional but vey thought provoking. It is a part of this tragic day that did not gain a lot of media attention.

This edition has a special added section for the 10 year anniversary. Wonderful.

My kids, ages 3 and 5, long for a pet dog of their own, but our housing situation would make it very challenging. KIDZ DELIGHT Rescue Runts Adopt and Rescue pets are a great stuffed animal alternative for now! I love the interactive and imaginative play this Yorkie dog provides.

My kids are still able to ‘care’ for a pet by brushing, removing fleas, tick, and tears, all while talking to the pup in a reassuring compassionate way. It brought up a good learning opportunity to explain that not all pets (people too) come from loving families who can provide and meet their needs.

And how important it is to show love and care to those less fortunate. My kids really like it. I would not pay more than $15 for this product, but if this is a toy your child would enjoy, paying up to $15 is money well spent, in my opinion.

My daughter received this adorable KIDZ DELIGHT Rescue Runts II Plush Pet from Pinchme. This dog its too adorable, it comes just like the picture shows. You get to groom it, take off fleas, ticks, remove cast and bandaid.

The fleas and ticks on it are a craft felt paper that have been sowed in, but are easy to pull off. Same thing with the tongue you pull it down to make it smile. The ears you lift them up and you remove the tear stickers.

The stickers were a bit hard to take off but was able to help my daughter out. Its a cute interactive way to show your kids how to take care of a dog. It comes with an adoption certificate as well, a dog name collar, extra plastic ticks and fleas you can stick on after to remove and cute accessories to groom it.

I would recommend this to any parent.

This is an amazing idea to help the kids learn how to take tender care and help to rescue the pets. This has everything that would be required to adopt a hurt runt and take appropriate care by cleaning up, fix messy hair, clean dirty paws, and even put a bandage for restoration and help the kids to learn about the rescue.

The grooming kit has tools to pick fleas, clean the paws, wipe the tears, brush the fur, and much more. It is a lot of fun for the kids to do all the activities and take care of their favorite pet. My daughter has this pet with her all the time so that she can take care of it where ever she goes.

She enjoyed this toy so much that she wishes to collect the entire group of three dogs and two cats and plans to take care of these on her own. I received this product from PinchMe for review purposes.

I have not trained a puppy since 1994, things have changed! This book had some great ideas examples and pictures. Some of it is complicated or difficult to do. This trainer is a stay at home person, I dont have time to hand feed every meal of kibble.

Its hard to retrain old habits, like only use the dogs name for good, not when they are doing something bad. So got a good start w puppy but will be going to a live trainer to help train me.

Easy to understand and follow training for a dog. Our border collie quickly picked up on all the skills outlined in this program and it really worked. The closer you follow the plan the better your dog will be.

No ‘constricting’ collars are physical/verbal reprimanding a very gentle approach to training your dog.

It’s been 8 years since I reared a puppy and I was looking for a “refresher. ” I’m not interested in the extensive narrative, I want concise instructions for the basics. I had to dig too long to get the information I needed.

Zak George is so relatable as a dog coach that you can’t help but love him, You feel you can actually do this stuff and it will work and then magically it does. He doesn’t act like he’s perfect and never gets it wrong either so it takes a lot of pressure off.

I love the methods he uses, they work and they are kind both to the dogs and to us. So glad Zak came along and proved all those alpha wolf believers wrong and gave us a new way to move forward in training our beautiful dogs.

This book is a great resource for any dog parent wanting to ensure they can successfully train their dog in a respectful way and get great results. I used this book from the first day our new pup joined our family, he is now 18 months old and I receive so many compliments on how well behaved he is and how smart he is.

Great book, would use it again with any new pups or older dogs that join the family.

Zak’s videos are great, yet having a book you can study or quickly reference really helps pull it all together. Playing and pausing the videos with a dog in training mode looking at you means you spend more time looking at your phone or laptop than with the dog, which makes a really crappy training session for you and your dog.

I found myself taking notes from the videos to have beside me when working on the various training exercises. This helped but as Zak always promotes the book as a way to help support his excellent free videos I thought why not.

It is a great book and whilst the internet is great and pretty much all the points and lessons in the book can be read online in some form or another. I found having a single collection of collated information from a person who continuously demonstrates he knows what he is talking about to really help focus my efforts and get results.

Plus, even if you don’t read it, it is a few bucks Zak’s way to help him continue making his free videos :).

Fantastic content with easy to follow instructions. Whether you are looking to train for Trick competition, or just have some fun with your dog, this is a must have book. I started the training with my 8 week old mini poodle, and through following the steps in this book he has mastered 2 tricks and is well on the way to polishing 3 more in just 10 days (in addition to all the basic rules and obedience training puppies need to learn).

The step by step instructions make it easy for him to understand what I want, and the pro tips and troubleshooting help me to get it right. I have recommended the book to my family, and they have used it with their adult dogs to keep them engaged.

Whether you are a complete novice, or an experienced dog trainer, this book is a must have resource.

Excellent book. Ideal for my really intelligent Bordoodle (Border Collie Poodle Cross) who expects lessons everyday. He was already doing some of the tricks by himself, like Peekaboo, so it was just a matter of naming it.

The book arrived promptly in spite of the travel restrictions of reduced airfreight because of Covid 19. Plenty of action photos, and clear instructions, this book is easy to follow. Recommended highly.

Step by step, easy to follow guide to teaching your dog tricks. Set out in 3 sections from beginner to pro. Each trick is broken down into easy to follow steps with photos to show what the trick should look like.

Theres trouble shooting and pro tips, plus little challenges to make the trick harder. It also goes through visual and verbal cues. Highly recommend this book.

This trainer was excellent (5 stars) until the antenna inexplicably broke less than three months into owning the unit. It had great range and never really had to go over level four. Instead of a tone I’d prefer a vibration button as a warning instead.

It’s not feasible to turn the dial 180 degrees to get to vibrate. I also feel the antenna was poorly designed from the outset as it’s a separate piece and was wobbly to start. It made me wonder how waterproof it was as well.

It should be one solid piece. Overall it’s an excellent trainer that works well if it doesn’t break. So many trainers use it that I’d recommend different colors or hand engrave it so you don’t mix it up at the dog trainer sites.

I actually created an account on Chewy to leave this review. I have been using this e-collar for two years, and all I can say it is incredible. I have read other reviews, and concluded that frankly others don’t understand how to use an e-collar.

The collar is designed to offer graded stimulation, with only one setting for vibrate and tone. If you feel uncomfortable using an e-collar and only want a vibrate feature, save your money and buy a cheap collar.

However, if you really want a durable, effective, and elegantly simple-to-use e-collar this is the one. I love that there are no LED screens to try to read in the sunlight. The spinning dial is super easy to adjust in the midst of training sessions and in the field.

The range is great, and I have never been out of touch with my dog (a pretty big-ranging German Shorthaired Pointer). The toggle to other collars is also really easy and simple (by the way, you can get multiple collars from GARMIN that work with this transmitter.

Do not buy a duplicate transmitter just to get an extra collar. ) I love that I can turn the running lights on when I let my dog out at night. The only aspect of this collar I have not utilized in the bark collar feature.

Overall, I have found it to be absolutely worth the money and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a fairly serious training tool.

I ordered it to say emotional support animal and I bite. Instead I got the harness with Velcro pieces that only say emotional support. Not only that but my dog was able to remove and chew up the Velcro pieces.

Fits very well. Leon doesn’t mind putting it on. Really like the handle on vest. Over all I think this one is the best.

Its made well but is very heavy and uncomfortable on our shih tzu mix. Rather more substantial than we expected.

Have not cleaned these yet but they are of a wonderful quality. Large and very easy to see. Easy take off and on. Love the harness and love the patches. Best ones I have ever had.

My rescued Saluki cross was underweight and getting treated for giardia when I took her home one month ago, and was a finicky eater with a poor appetite and limited food tolerance. I have been experimenting with her diet, offering her a combination of commercial raw, kibble, and wet foods.

This kibble is by far the most agreeable to her so far! She eats it right up and absorbs and digests it much better than other kibble formulas. I’ll definitely continue feeding her this, supplemented by her frozen raw foods (if you’re curious, both Instinct and Primal brands have been great!).

Not sure if the chamomile makes a big difference for her anxiety, but it’s a sweet concept.

My pibbles is allergic to chicken and she’s also a picky eater so finding food for her has always been difficult. She rescued us 7 yrs ago and is a joy to have. At one point I was making food for her until my health issues.

Fast forward she was on another well-known brand and she had suddenly refused to eat it. It becomes a task when manufacturers decide to change the formula. So I started researching and found this and it’s been absolutely heaven sent.

I also love the fact that they donate to shelters. It’s a win win!!!!.

We have 2 dogs in our home, a 12 year old chiweenie and a 4 year old Australian Shepherd mix that loved this Acana red meat, liver, and oats recipe dog kibble. They gobble it up with no hesitation compared to the previous brand of kibble that we had tried out for them.

We like to give our dogs some variety in their food so they won’t get bored of the same kibble all the time. I feel confident that I’m providing the best food choices for them that helps with their digestion with the included probiotics and fiber.

This cat was the one thing my almost 6 year old daughter has been asking for for her birthday. I got it and opened to make sure it worked and had a battery so when she opened it it would work. I was happy to see it came with its own battery.

It also had a little bed and brush she will enjoy. The part I think is a design flaw is that it does not have an on off button or switch. It says it’s designed this way to make it more realistic, but I think they could have easily added one on the bottom and it would not have affected the “realness.

” The problem with not having an on off switch is that it just stays on, breathing, until the battery dies. The life of that I don’t know yet since we just got it. It also doesn’t sound very much like a purr, more like a soft motor sound pulling in and out the air that fills the belly.

All in all it’s cute and it’s what she asked for but I think it should have the on off switch and it’s a bit overpriced for what it is.

I purchased this for my elderly mother who lives alone. She has always had animals but could not look after one now. I looked at various animals and made the sad decision that any animal would be too much for her.

As she is displaying early dementia I decided to look for products that could help her to relax. This dog has had an impact, she strokes it and says it is a comfort. The “heartbeat” is very realistic and fooled my sister when she visited her.

All in all a very good product, it’s a bit weighty at the bottom which does detract from the overall feel. It will never replace a real pet but it did have a positive effect on my mum.

I purchased the beagle for my mother in law who has very late stage Alzheimer’s. My children (4 and 6) initially looked after the puppy before handing him over to their Grandma. They absolutely loved him and even though they knew he wasn’t real they still treated him as a real puppy.

The snoring sounds are adorable and the visible way in which the puppy’s back moves as it takes a breath is very realistic. It also looks like a true representation of a beagle. I was expecting it to be a bit more floppy but it is rigid in its sleeping position.

My mother in law enjoyed having him on my lap and I hope she will get some enjoyment from him. A lovely gift.

I own two of the Dean and Tyler harnesses. They are both an XL. one is quite a bit larger than the other. The one I bought through Amazon is a bigger than the one I go on EBay. As far as quality goes, the harness is a great harness.

I would highly recommend it. We have two very large dogs. One is a German Shepherd that goes about 140 pounds and one is a Mastador still growing. I feel like with this harness on you have complete and total control of the dog.

The patches are great, you can get whatever you need them to say. Both dogs seem to understand when wearing the harness that they are “working” and that it isn’t all fun and games any longer. Would highly recommend the harness just not sure how the size can fluctuate so much between two harnesses that are to be identical.

Oh my goodness. I’ve never had a husky puppy before but let me tell you. This harness has been a life safer. It keeps loki the husky pup right next to me without pulling his neck.

Sadly I had to return the harness as i hadn’t accurately measured my dog. However I do now have the correct size from another site. Seller was helpful and the product arrived quickly. I have a 42kg gsd/husky mix.

Very strong and pulls towards other dogs and prey animals. This harness looks great and is well made, the 4 d rings mean it’s great for redirecting him if he pulls when teamed with a double ended leash, and most inportantly it is secure and comfortable for my boy! We love it!.

Perfect fitment, easy on easy off, easy to adjust in just a few seconds. Light an breathable for the hot south Florida weather. Rear V-ring works perfectly to hook to a long line for tracking an bite work.

Front padded breast plate for extra protection. Room for a front patch on the breast plate an on the back. The rear handle is solid if you need to pick your dog up. Me personally with my injuries it’s easier on me an my k9 to pick me up off the ground grabbing his harness rather than the handle on his flat collar.

I had to sew the center chest strap to the point where the strap going around the girth passes through it. I have a skinny 86lb GSD very lean and the harness kept falling off to his side(on the buckle side) no matter how tight I had it( even when it was overly tight).

Now I have the harness fitted snugly to reduce sliding around but sewing that strap in place corrected most of the issue. Other than that it’s light weight and perfect. I also bought the G Hook bags which are super convenient and low profile in their shape.

Great fit after initial adjustment. Almost ad max adjustment range for my 110 lbs “Standard American Bulldog” 11 month old puppy. He shows great potential for actual and sport tracking/trailing. Worked him 4 times on 1/4 mile tracks.

Harness does not shift (stays in place as adjusted including turns) despite him pulling while tracking. Highly recommend for large/strong canines.

It is easy to read the Deaf Dog on vest. So people know the person is deaf or the dog is deaf. People will walk up to my face and try to communicate me. It really looks good on my dogs vest. So I recommend you to buy it.

Very Low quality cheap looking patches for the price. Just received them so not sure, but they do not look like they will last very long. Do not recommend these patches. Go straight to China and get it for pennies.

This plush toy arrived via USPS later than expected but once I received it it is exactly what I expected. I ordered this as a gift for myself and it arrived Valentine’s Weekend. This plush kitten looks as close as I could find to a cat I recently lost.

Oreo was my 3 year old male cat. He was a very energetic and sweet boy. Unfortunately, he was always too curious and into everything. We now suspect he succumbed to antifreeze poisoning. This kitten plush toy at least is a positive reminder of Oreo.

The product and price were excellent. So pet owners out there and others, please be careful with your antifreeze around pets and kids. Remember even diluted it is still toxic unless you are using Sierra.

Even then, I would advise being cautious.

I purchased this toy for my puppy and brought it with me when I went to pick up my puppy so she and her sister could play with it together and it would have her sister’s scent on it when I brought her home, hoping to comfort her.

Even though it isn’t a dog toy, she never ruined it and while it did show wear after 15 years of daily play, it was her favorite toy. It was the only toy she wouldn’t let any other dog play with. I highly recommend it but only if your dog is not a destroyer of toys.

I have now purchased a new one for the new puppy that is arriving to give her the same special baby. The stuffed dog on the left is the original toy, the one on the right is the new toy.

My five month old Australian Shepherd Grady has his whole life in front of him and I bought How to Be Your Dog’s Best Friend to make sure I can give him the best possible start. In a very well written and interesting way the author s (The Monks of Skete/Mark Goldberg) makes the case about the importance of understanding the true nature of dogs.

By balancing praise and correction dogs are happier as they learn to respect you as a fair and just pack leader. I particularly like the many personal, first hand examples of the dogs the author has trained, including those dogs with problems that have been re-trained.

Haven’t finished reading this book yet, but can hardly put it down and know it will be a great reference for the future. If there is any downside, I do wish the black and white photos were color and of better clarity.

Don’t be fooled by the title, this is not positive reinforcement based training manual, it fits squarely under the traditional choke-chain methods. The monks don’t believe in using treats for training and advocate physical punishment.

There is some good information within, but their attitude toward discipline ruins it for me. Because of the controversy this edition no longer recommends the alpha roll over, but still the recommended ‘shakedown’ and the ‘chin cuff’ leave more than a bad taste in my mouth.

How hard should you hit your dog? According to the monks “. a good general rule is that if you did not get a response, a yelp or other sign after the first hit, it wasn’t hard enough. ” they also state that you need “surprise and a flair for the dramatic” If you feel comfortable with this sort of thing then you may like this book, but if like me you don’t want your dog cowering in the corner or obeying just out of fear, then steer clear and spend your money elsewhere.

Although some of the training techniques may not necessarily work for every situation, if nothing else you will gain incredible insight into how the dog mind works. I keep buying this and giving it to friends who adopt new rescues, just to get them off on the right foot.

Clearly the Monks are successful not only at raising top-notch GSDs but also rehabilitating all sorts of family canines. I would love to go visit one day and see things in person.

I bought this for my husband. We have had Labradors for many years. He’s hardly put it down. He has learnt so much about the world’s favourite dog. Fantastic gift.

I’m sure a lot of dogs have been trained this way, but time moves on and these methods are definitely dated. If you’re a first time dog owner I’d look elsewhere.

Richard Wolters has a great grip on what it takes to train dogs. My Labrador retriever was hunting ducks perfectly at 10 mo old. I used his book Water Dog for that training.

This author is writing about the best simple training method for your family dog. It works. Its presented in a simple concise way. You will benefit from this book when your pup turns out to be a well mannered happy family dog.

I love this product. I have 5 dogs. From toy poodle to labrador. Ranging from Puppy to adult. Each one has this harness. This harness is the Best. It is made up of soft fabric, but sturdy. The part by the neck to around the legs has extra cushioning to stop rubbing, and sores.

It also has a handle on top, which is very handy. The only thing that is wrong with this harness is that it has a velcro patch that states service dog. The solution is simple just take off the patch.

My dog is medium size. I would say is she can escape and wriggle out of it quick easy ! So not safe at all ! also it’s should sit on her chest but sits near her neck ! I wouldn’t recommend this as it’s not secure enough.

I bought this patch for my German Shepherd’s harness since I had an encounter with a woman who walked up and put her hand in my dogs face while he was sitting between my legs. As a dog owner this was the scariest moment of my life.

After I put this patch on his vest, everyone looked at him like he was such a bad dog. This was okay with me because I know that he is the sweetest dog ever but that nothing like that will happen to him again.

I believe it is so important to communicate with people that they can’t just pet your dog without asking and to respect your dogs space. This is a must have for any harness.

My items came in and they were just as I asked for, but surprised I got them since the packaging was horrible. 1. I only had two SMALL items, and got a big box. An envelope would’ve sufficed. 2. The packaging for one patch ripped open and the box was taped so weird that the patches were literally sticking out.

My items would’ve easily fallen out. Should probably do better with that.

I was disappointed that the “small” size of the Therapy Dog and Service Dog patches were bigger than the patch Velcro strip it attaches to on my small harness. Looks like the supplier actually makes only one size from what other reviewers have indicated.

It will work, but the patch doesn’t look like it fits, as opposed to the ideal small size of the “In Training” patch I got when initially purchasing the small harness.
