If you have a dog that needs training, and more importantly, if YOU as an owner need to know how to properly train, GET THIS BOOK. I’ve watched the Lucky Dog show for a couple of years now and was always impressed with how this guy trains these wonderful dogs that some jerk through aside like trash.

His methods are humane, easy to follow and deliver results. We’ve always had dogs and recently adopted a sweet rescue puppy. It’d been many years since we’ve had a puppy in the house as our other dog is 12 and our 16 year old recently passed.

Because I’ve seen the respect and patience this man has and the results he gets, I thought I’d give this book a try and am so glad I did. If you have time and patience, this book will make life a lot less stressful for you and your dog.

If more people were responsible owners, took the time and had some patience to work with their dogs like this book teaches, a lot fewer would end up in shelters. Highly recommend.

Dog language is so different from human language. So many time we think and say one thing and the dog hears and thinks something completely different. When this happens we get flusterated because the dog does not follow our instructions and may even act in a behavior that makes up upset.

We do not know how to get our point across to the dog nor know how to stop the annoying behavior our dog has gotten go at. This book has your answers. These solutions work if we follow the instructions and are determined to follow through.

There is no need to feel flusterated when you have an answer. To be able to see what we are actually saying in dog language, no wonder the dog acted as he did. Well worth every dime!!!!.

This book is very thorough. He has great advice and many answers to questions a new puppy owner needs. My husband and I decided to get 2 Dobies and we were learning by trial and error. They are 4 months old now and we really don’t want to mess up, so we refer to the book often and have been taking them to training classes.

However, I really think the instructors have a copy of this book because I see similarities except Brandon explains the why of how we train the pups. He also tells stories of the many dogs he’s trained and how they react sometimes with amusing outcomes.

Try to catch his Lucky Dog TV series, worth a watch and you will get hooked.

The book is informative. It contains a good amount of canine backround findings that are helpful to understand how a dog thinks and matures. The training portion is a small amount of the typed word but I believe that understanding the dog itself provides a good base to figure out how to work with the dog rather than force training upon them.

I am a lifelong dog owner/companion for over fifty years and includes hounds, pleasure and working dogs. Oh yeah, and mutts. This book has altered how I work with them. I am currently dealing with an Australian Red Heeler female pup to be a direct companion for myself and a guard for home and family.

The book deals with German Shepard which is close enough.

Excellent book – down to earth, honest, no nonsense and common sense advice and techniques. It just makes a lot of sense when you stop and really think about what is written in this guide. These Monks know what they’re talking about.

I’m especially impressed with their principle of not ignoring bad behaviour, but to actually address and correct it on the spot in a humane but effective way! Many dog trainers preach “reward the good, ignore the bad” – this simply does not always work.

I mean, why ignore bad behaviour? Correct it instead, no?! I’m certainly going to put the advice and techniques outlined in this book to good use with my next puppy. I’ll buy the latest edition of this book too, just to see how it differs from this edition.

Oh and check out their other magnificent book – “How to be your dog’s best friend”. Compelling reading!.

This is the Holy Scriptures of puppy raising! This book is not full of vague piffle. The monks tell you what you really need to know in clear language. What you apply from the book will depend on your own pup, but most everything is essential to know.

Wow. So much information and tips. The photos are stunning, with descriptions of what to expect from each breed. A great book to have on hand when looking for the perfect companion, tips on choosing, training and what to look for.

This is a beautiful, big book. Full color pictures on every page. A snapshot of information on hundreds of dog breeds – most get 1 page of information to themselves, some pages have groups of related breeds.

This was perfect for my dog-crazy daughter.

This is a fabulous encyclopaedia. It is wonderful to flip through and see all the pictures, some of breeds I’ve never heard of before. Have learned much about these interesting breeds.

A neighbor of mine uses this brand for his 3 dogs and I had to try it. I love the harness besides 2 minor faults. I wish the circles/hooks where the leash goes were thinner or maybe a smaller one to attach his tags.

I have to put a collar on him along with the harness to make sure he has his tags if he was to run away. I also wish the straps where the clips go weren’t so long that they hang. Besides that, the quality is great and so is the price when you catch these on sale.

The size was perfect for my 1 year old 30 pound mini schnauzer terrier mix dog. I love the handle on top to grab him to separate play since he does play with 5-6 dogs daily. I wanted to make sure I could grab control of him in situations where I have to separate him.

Great little tactically harness and seems to be really well made. Velcro/hook and loop is really nice and spacious. I agree with the other reviewers that the loops are pretty large for such a small vest, large enough to cause small breed leashes incompatible.

Smokey is a Chihuahua/terrier and small, the harness takes up so much of his body that he does not have full movement and the back buckle is basically on his parts. He has no trouble going potty in this but number 2 is difficult for him since he can’t crouch in it.

This vest is going to be strictly work attire for Smokey.

Purchased the original One Tigris Vest in a large after measuring my dog as directed. As always with Chewy, it arrived very quickly. But we were so disappointed when we tried it on our dog. It was just huge on her.

Chewy refunded us and I ordered a medium. Although the medium was a slightly better, it was still baggy, bulky and very loose even with all the straps cinched and pulled as tight as they go. Great book! Purchased because my favourite canine behaviourist (my idol), Cesar Millan, stated in his very own book that Fogle’s work was one of the literatures he read, that help him understand and become the behaviourist he is today.

The book is broken down into 2 halves; the anatomy & physiology, then the psychology. Fantastic read – and easy to follow / understand. Has greatly helped me with further research and better understanding when working with my own behaviour clients.

Get this if you want to understand dogs!.

The information is well presented and easy for lay persons to understand.

This is one of the best books ever written on the REAL motivation for dog behavior and how to allow dogs to be dogs and still live comfortably and compatibly with humans. We have anthropomorphized them to the point that we interpret their every act into a human emotion or activity.

This is an extremely beautiful urn. We ordered this urn for our recently deceased dog. He was about 25 pounds, and it was more than ample for his ashes with room to spare. The front of the urn has plenty of room for pictures, dates, and quotes, and ours came out wonderfully.

There are four screws on the bottom for access, and they hold the urn together solidly. I did have a problem during shipping. When I received my urn, the top left corner was damaged. Despite being very well packaged, this clearly happened during transit, not during manufacturing.

Customer service was *outstanding*. They were extremely apologetic. I was not required to send back the old urn, and they sent a new urn that day. All I had to do was change out the photo panel from the damaged urn to the new one, which arrived in perfect condition within about four days.

I would highly recommend this product.

After losing our beloved pet Fletcher a month ago we needed something extra special to put his ashes in. This is exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful wood, strong and the design is perfect. The staff were amazing with follow up questions and arrived in a timely manner.

This tag is exactly what I needed. It looks fantastic. The engraving and colors are clear and easy to read. I almost gave it 5 stars, but. the attachment ring is weak. One day out of nowhere, the tag fell off my dog’s collar and disappeared in the grass.

Thankfully it magically reappeared under my front door several months later because the identical replacement tag I bought also fell off and disappeared while my dog was playing in the snow. When I put the first tag back on his collar, I used a stronger attachment ring.

10 months and counting, it’s still there and looking great. Save yourself the hassle and change out the ring for a better one before you put your new tag on your dog’s collar.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes you get a little more. The character space is a bit limited but adequate enough for the essential details. The etching is precise and legible. The tag itself appears to be a solid material and so far has shown no signs if corrosion or tarnish.

From order to delivery, it took only a few days to receive the tag. They saved money with the ring, which is thin enough that I could see it breaking if caught on the leash or other obstruction. But I have plenty of solid replacements in my junk drawer.

You cannot beat the price. Will certainly order here again when the occasion presents itself.

I do not know why people are writing bad reviews for this product. It’s not plastic. It’s metal. And it is definitely engraved. I got the smaller size for my cat. It is about the size of a quarter. It is exactly how it is described.

I was worried the words wouldn’t fit but they did! They fit perfectly. And it’s completely legible. There is nothing wrong with it. I definitely recommend anyone who has a emotional support animal to get their pet registered and get this tag.

I had previously bought one of their other harnesses, but I was really looking for another with the velcro patches. Ordered an XL for my 70 pound shepherd mix and it’s perfect. It would let out to fit a very large dog because it’s taken up to its absolute smallest size to fit my boy.

I did that on purpose so I would have plenty of strap for if he grows more and it also gives it a bit of a more uniform look with the reflective and colored strip all the way across the chest. My only pick at it is just that, and it’s purely an aesthetic thing.

If you have to let the chest strap out, you end up with the nice colored strap on one side and the undecorated solid color strap on the other. The only other way I can think of to make this package better is to maybe either include a set of “in training” patches or maybe give the option of what types of patches you want to come with the harness.

That would save people from having to look elsewhere for their “in training”, “do not pet”, or various other patches. Anyway, it looks very professional, seems comfortable for my dog, and the color is very vibrant and there are so many color options compared to other brands, which I love.

I was getting frustrated as the only other ones I could find were either black or red or styled in a way I didn’t like. This harness is sturdy and well made and attractive. The padding is thick and comfortable, the buckles are strong, and the stitching is perfect.

This vest is the entire package of what I wanted, what I needed, and what I liked. Will definitely buy again.

Do Not use the weight for sizing. Our dog at 20 lbs. , S too big. Harness is shortened all way, it is still too big. Order 1 size smaller. Now I’m fighting with Chewy trying to return wrong size. Can find where to even start return process.

I thought I was buying a harness with sides not this stupid looking thing where you can barely read the words and no patches fit. Pathetic and I want to return it. Very dissatisfied and don’t understand why I couldn’t get the one I expected with sides not all short and stupid.

I have severe peripheral neuropathy due to irreparable damage in my neck & back. One of the effects of this is that my balance is compromised which makes walking challenging especially if I have to do shopping or run multiple errands in one day.

I have to be very careful to avoid falling as the consequences can be dire (wheelchair bound). I have my dogs trained as service dogs to help me with mobility & this handle is exactly what I was looking for to use on their vests.

The solid aluminum frame gives the necessary support I need & the size options allowed me to get one that would be at the perfect length to minimize my hands & arms going numb. I always felt secure & less likely to fall when walking in stores etc with my dogs and this handle increases that security level even more.

I purchased the Service Dog card and Handler card from Active dogs. com I was having some problems downloading the pictures and an actual caring human being answered the phone and walked me through. It was so nice to speak to someone, I wish I remembered her name.

Anyway the cards look great and the service was great also. I have a legal paper from my Doctor and the person who trained my dog but it is nice to have easy access cards Thank you again Active Dog.

The Photo ID is a quality product and a great addition to Service Dog tags, it provides another safety mechanism in case of an emergency or entry into public buildings. I highly recommend the Photo ID’s.

I really like this book because it gives alot of information about different breeds of dogs. The book tells you about the dogs Energy level, Exercise requirements, Playfulness, Affection level, Friendliness toward dogs, other pets, strangers, Ease of training, Watchdog ability, Protection ability, Grooming requirements, Cold tolerance, Heat tolerants, History, Upkeep, And temperament.

I suggest this book for any person looking for the right dog for their family. The book also has pictures of each dog breed.

This is an easy to read guide of a wide variety of dog breeds. It is however not exhaustive. Some breeds are not included.

I bought this for my 10 year old lab. She has some arthritis and I was looking to help her. I should have been skeptical of no reviews because I usually am a big review reader. I didn’t really like the smell or feel.

After a few days of giving it to her, she started acting funky and developed diarrhea. We have changed nothing in her diet except this. I stopped giving them to her and am returning the product. I will stick with what she has been using for awhile.

I had previously purchased these in November 2020 and my little guy loved them. They appeared how they do in the picture, small and round chews that he’d eat up right away. I ordered replacements in April 2021 and although I ordered the same thing, what I received was a bigger jar, with bigger, square chews inside.

Totally different. My little guy won’t eat them now either. They’re too big for chihuahua’s, as you have to break apart and they crumble. Disappointed it changed, when it still appears the same on the site.

My poor little guy ( a pug ) has always food allergies that would cause itchy skin and sometimes, hot spots. After years of ‘successfully’ dealing with this – suddenly, nothing I did was working. He had developed this strange, pungent odor that would quickly return after a medicated bath.

I tried anti-fungal wipes and sprays – I could NOT seem to cure him. When I saw this product (and the little pug face) on the label at Walmart. com – I decided to do some research about dogs and Omegas.

Turns out my guy had developed Seborrhea (oily) that can be caused by an Omgea-3 deficiency. www. drsfostersmith. com has some great info about Omegas and canines. and skin. and more. ^ According to Drs.

Forster and Smith, I was doing a lot right for my dog. except for the Omegas. So, I ordered these soft chews. I continued with the medicated baths, anti-fungal and gave him 1 soft chew each morning. What a miracle !!! Within 3-4 days, he stopped licking and gnawing at himself, his raw spots were gone.

His missing hair is now growing back, he’s not ripping at his ears, he doesn’t smell like he’s rotting. but most of all, HE IS CALM AND HAPPY. I’d like to say he’s a different dog, but he’s not. He’s a BETTER dog.

With these Omega-3’s, I’m starting to think he’ll never have itchy skin again — that’s how well this is working. Thank you Walmart and Healthy Breeds ! Maybe this pug mom can relax now.

I’m going to give these a middle-of-the-road review right now. I bought these to replace a set of patches on which the lettering was rubbing off. The patches that just arrived from Chewy appear to be the same exact patches I am replacing.

I would bet money on it. I’m going to try to head trouble off at the pass. So I did the following: I bought a roll of tape from U-Haul (their clear tape has one of the strongest adhesives of any tape I’ve ever used) , I put some Gorilla Glue on the four corners of the patch I received from Chewy, and I put the tape over the patch.

Keep in mind though , I did this with my old patch. In the end, it was only a stopgap. As with any tape, the U-Haul tape started coming up and as it came up the lettering came up with it. I’m hoping the Gorilla Glue in the corners staves that off.

If all else fails, I will take advantage of Chewy’s 1 year guarantee.

I prefer embroidered letters, but now that I have these and see how they reflect light in the dark, I like them very much. Purchasing a size that is not the same as the harness hook and loop area, no problem.

They don’t have to be an exact size, as long as they are a bit shorter than what is affixed to the harness. These are working great on the Chai’s Choice Service Dog Vest Harness I purchased. The Chai’s Choice comes with “Service Dog” but my dog is not a “Service Dog,” she is a “Emotional Support Dog.

” There is a difference so I purchased these tags as well so as to not misrepresent my dog’s purpose for me.

We are training a puppy to be a mobility service dog & needed a leash that we could train that allows puppy to walk closely to handler but still have enough space to move. This leash works fantastic for our training and after one day, our puppy is already walking better & more attentive to body movements of handler.

Active dogs website was easy to use, had great description of product and very fast delivery. Will be using them again soon for other training items needed.

Earnie is the youngest service dog I’ve ever trained. He has done excellent except for consistent leash behavior. It’s like walking a different dog! He caught on to limitations right away and I swear even walks with a small trot of “look at me” pride.

I love having the hands free option while shopping, pushing cart, etc. I also ordered the Velcro service dog and do not pet attachments. (Of course there’s always that “one” that can’t read. I’m 5’ tall and found it very comfortable under all conditions and lengths.

My service dog is a min pin, 20 months, I can’t say enough about how he has found his comfort zone and boundaries walking on this lead.
