I am writing this in order to inform some users how to properly use the product and prevent burns, dryness, and ultimately how to achieve the best results. Retinol can cause purging during the first few weeks (break outs, worsening of skin) as it brings up imperfections in the deeper layers.

So don’t be discouraged. Using too much can cause severe sensitivity. You have to use a pea sized amount. It spreads even if you feel like it is not. Use retinol last in your night care routine it can penetrate lotions and oils this also prevents burning.

Stop using harsh physical exfoliants on your face such as st Ives and other brands. retinol exfoliates for you so does your fingers when washing your face with a gentle cleanser, using exfoliants with retinol will cause more dryness in turn burning.

Overtime if you want smoother skin sooner you can incorporate a chemical exfoliant which is safer and creates an even exfoliations for example Paula’s choice BHA 2% Stay away from fragrances! To start off use the product once every other night.

This is a creamy textured and fragrance free product. I expected some drying with this product as this is the highest concentration of retinol Neutrogena has right now. Thankfully this has some hydrating ingredients so my skin felt softer and smoother after using.

The product did not leave my skin dried or irritated instead it felt silky and smooth. This is fairly lightweight but I would use it in my nightly routine instead of the morning, having oily skin it didn’t work well under my makeup.

I purchase this a few months ago. First let me say I will be turning 65 and don’t have what you would call any deep wrinkles, but noticed changes in firmness, and texture of my skin. I have two small age spots that I always wanted to fade.

I dab it on forehead, smile lines, cheeks, age spots and neck and then rub in. A little goes a very long way. I have sensitive skin and had no problems with irritation, it has light fragrance that disappears.

I have no problem with the fragrance, no watery eyes or burning. it also did not break my face out, even with being 64 some face moisturizers etc. will break my face out, this absolutely did not. After two weeks I did think I started to see an improvement, but after a couple of months I can honestly say my neck is much firmer my skin texture is firmer and tighter.

My jaw line which was losing some firmness is tighter , and the age spots have virtually disappeared. One I don’t see at all and the other is much , much lighter. This is wonderful product. It really worked for me.

Wow this retinol is fantastic! I am 30 and have begun to see some fine lines/wrinkles on my brow and forehead areas over the past several years. I have used many retinol products and this is my favorite one.

My previous favorite retinol was the SR A+ due to the fact it was not drying and was smooth on the skin. Not only is this retinol smooth and hydrating like SR A+, but its retinol properties are much more effective with wrinkle reduction, pigmentation issues and skin re-texturing.

I’m very surprised at how effective this DDG retinol is, because I have never used a retinol that actually improved my fine lines/wrinkles, just retinol products that kept the lines and my skin texture from getting worse, but this beauty actually has visibly reduced my 11’s and forehead lines.

I really like the formula, because not only is it effective, but not drying or irritating at all and I can use it every night. I’ve been using this on my eyes every nighy, sometimes twice a day, for 4 months now. I’m 36 and have some light, fine lines around my eyes but nothing crazy. I use this both undereye and on my lids/orbital area because I have hooded eyes and need some firming.

I would like to think that my under eye is looking a littler tighter and brighter but honestly, I really don’t see a noticeable difference ans that may be because I don’t have significant lines to begin with.

I started layering this with a tiny bit of the DE passioni retinol just under my eyes a couple nights a week to Amp up the retinol in that area so we will see. This goes on really smooth, absorbs nicely and is somewhat hydrating but I always dab a little moisturizer or eye cream over it to lock in more moisture.

I think I would repurchase this but im going to give it another couple months to see if I notice any results.

This cream comes in a heavy glass jar with a tamper seal which I appreciate. Felt very lux! It comes in a generous size also. I have been using this for 3-4 weeks and I still have ½ jar remaining. It does have a light scent but it didn’t linger and it didn’t irritate my skin or sensitive eyes.

My only real complaint is that companies would stop adding fragrance to beauty products. It’s simply not necessary! While light in texture, this might be a bit too heavy for me in summer. A liquid lotion is my usual choice.

However, in winter, WOW, what a delicious cream it is. It sank fairly quickly into my skin and left it feeling very hydrated. During my drier days, I used this in combination with my already owned (and loved) Vichy 89 serum and what a combo it made.

I’ve been using this product every single day for seven years and it made a HUGE difference in my skin. It took away fine lines and some deep wrinkles, completely. The overall appearance of my skin has changed and looks amazing compared to before.

It’s packaged correctly- dark container so no light can get through, small hole so it’s not exposed to air- which can ruin retinol If not package right. It’s light weight and sinks into skin quickly.

It’s not greasy at all. I even use it as a primer. It’s not a high concentration of retinol, but enough for over the counter. It does dry out my skin, which means that there must me a good enough percentage of retinol in it.

Obviously it’s not as good as prescription retinol, but my skin is too sensitive for prescription retinol, so I’m glad I’ve found this. I’ve started using it twice a day, opposed to one and it’s working even better.

The price is somewhat reasonable. My prescription retinol, which is much stronger, was actually cheaper though. However, the company Roc retinol refuses to tell their customers the percentage of retinol.

Which is a bad sign. If you search hard enough you can find the actual percentage from dermatologist websites. It is a pretty weak percentage, but surprisingly does work. Especially if you can’t handle prescription retinol.

Despite the percentage being low, the concentration must be pretty good because it has actually made a big difference in my skin, and drys my skin out. If retinol doesn’t dry your skin out it’s obviously not a high enough dose to work.

At 38 years old, I still get compliments on my skin!! Many people ask what I use to keep my skin youthful. Truth is, my skincare up till 3 years ago was very simple. Other than washing my face, the only products I ever used was ROC retinol No 7’ Protect Perfect.

I used ROC Retinol Correxion at night No 7 Protect Perfect during the day. I love trying new skincare but I always come back to Roc Retinol Correxion as my main source of retinol! Why? Because there isn’t any retinol better nor stronger on the market! My skin can prove it (I inserted a pic)!! I would highly recommend this to anyone with mature skin!! It’s a thicker cream that absorbs well, so very little product is needed! Because it’s the strongest retinol available, be careful how much often you apply it in the beginning.

Give your skin time to adapt. This is strong stuff! Since using 8 years ago, I no longer get regular acne, old acne scars have disappeared, skin complexion texture is even, haven’t gained any deep wrinkles.

Ok, so on the real real- I didn’t notice it firming my skin up at all. I’m only 30 so it’s not like I have sagging loose skin anyway so I guess I don’t know what I was wanting with the ‘hydra firming’ promise but I think I was hoping for a temporary firming/tight feel at the least.

On that part I’d give it a 1. Didn’t notice anything and I think the phrasing is more for marketing than for a true description of what it can do. On the positive side though, and why I gave this product an overall 4/5, I felt that it DID hydrate and moisturize my skin very nicely each day.

The light texture seemed to soak in nicely was not greasy at all. This cream never balled up and rolled off my skin, it was light feeling and my skin seemed to just soak it in! I did notice a minimization of the appearance of fine lines on my forehead also when using this.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this product burns my skin. I applied it on clean, dry skin. The burning sensation was very intense, I’m glad i avoided my eyes. I got the version with SPF after trying a sample of the regular version, which did not burn.

Also, this kind with SPF smells absolutely awful. It reminds me of an expired Aveda product. It’s got an herbal smell combined with some kind of horrible chemical. Again, the kind with no SPF smells fine, I suspect some kind of masking agent at work does not play nicely with the sunscreen ingredients.

The only thing can say in favor of the product is it didn’t look white when absorbed like many sunscreens.

I bought this to try and soften the deep “11” lines between my eyes. I am realistic with expectations – only a filler can really eliminate deep lines, but i was hoping this would soften it. I used up the whole bottle.

At first it caused some breakouts between my eyes which I never get. Those seemed to stop with continued use but there was definitely some kind of purging going on. I used this 1-2 times a day every day until the bottle was gone.

It did soften the lines a bit. I noticed they didn’t appear as deep and makeup didn’t settle in quite as badly. But after I stopped using it, the lines are deepening again so whatever it does is not permanent at all.

Frankly I am getting similar results just using an intensive hyaurlonic acid concentrate that I put in there. I’m on the fence – maybe if your lines aren’t that deep yet it would likely help them more than they helped mine.

Probably won’t be repurcahsing. No. 7 makes a line filler that works the same for a fraction of the price.

I used this product daily until I panned it. It does a decent job of temporarily filling in fine lines. Don’t expect it to de-age you five years. It’s more like if you slept the wrong way on your face and you have serious sleep lines but need to be presentable in an hour with a fresh face.

This stuff is amazing! It’s a two part system with a medium weight cream and a silver/gray serum. You put the cream on first and follow with the serum. It goes on incredibly smooth and silky! Fine lines diminished and deep lines plumped up. The package warns about a slight tingling, but I never experienced that. No irritation at all and a very soft, pleasant scent. I highly recommend!.

I bought this because first, of the price! Second, it has thousands of reviews everywhere!!! Very affordable and will make your face look young and smooth, etc. so I did the purchase. Following day after applying at night for the first time, I checked in the mirror and wow! It ruined my face!😫i wasted all those years of getting rid of acne and clearing up all the scars using expensive scar removal because of this.

Money and time wasted in first use! Face ruined again! BUT! They said to give it at least one skin cycle, 28 days, it might be purging. So im still using it, i’m on my 3rd week. The acne’s flaring up always the following day after applying this at night.

I only use this twice a week. My FORMER retinol i can use every single night. But this RoC, i dont know! just twice a week and still hurt my face! All the thousands of positive reviews, I experienced the opposite😞😫.

Over 20 years ago, I met a woman in her 60’s with beautiful skin who looked no older than 40. I asked her what she did to age so gracefully. She said, “SPF 50 and RoC. ” I took her advice and wore sunscreen and RoC everyday for 20 plus years.

Now that I’m in my late 40’s, I get mistaken all the time for mid-late 20’s. This stuff is incredible, and a little goes a long way. Of course, there’s other factors at play in aging gracefully, such as genetics, hydration, limiting sun and alcohol consumption.

But if you’re looking for a product that lives up to their promises, RoC is for you! P. S. Just one more little piece of advice. Just because you will look like a millennial, doesn’t mean you should marry one.

I have been using this Neutragena ageless intensives deep wrinkle serum for few years and the reason I started using was during my research i found that Vitamin A ( aka Retinol) helps cure and prevent acne.

i had terrible adult acne and i started using clinique spot correcting serum but it was 3x expensive than this one. and I started looking for affordable alternative and found this one. I tried and it worked miracles ✨️ on my skin.

No more acne ever since. And made my skin smoother and softer day by day. It takes care of wrinkles very well. its very noticeable young looking skin.

I’ve been getting more and more aware of my age and what occurs during the aging process and I don’t like the feeling one bit. So, I’m being experimental with many products. I’ve used this product only 2 times but after just 1 application I noticed the next morning my skin just felt, well, fresh and smooth.

It don’t take much during application and being fragrance free is always a positive for my face regimes. Time will tell but as of now it does give me a peace of mind that I’m taking preventive measures to decrease the appearance of wrinkles to the best of my ability.

So once again, another 5 star Neutrogena skin care product. I’ve used other retinol products, most more expensive and this is by far my favorite. It is affordable at a little more than $20 and it’s a decent sized bottle of serum that goes a long way so it’s an even better bargain because of that.

It’s effective and as powerful and quality as more high-end skincare retinol products. I bought this at Walgreens where you can usually always find coupons online for Neutrogena and earn rewards points too ( I bought a new bottle today and had a 4 dollar off coupon, plus store had b1g1 50%off so I got 2 skincare products for less than 35$ so always check the sale products there) This is a retinol so sensitivity can occur if you aren’t used to retinol products.

I’ve used retinol for a while now and I have no sensitivity anymore. Decrease amount by half and decrease usage to every other day if sensitivity occur and continue until skin gets used to product. I use this for my crows feet and laugh lines and almost instantly, within a few days I noticed a smoothing to them.

My face in general, looked tighter and smoother. It was a noticeable difference, not just by me, but my husband noticed a difference in my skin calling me “young and radiant” which pleased me more than he knows.

I use this in combination with a vitamin c product and every night prior to moisturizing and sleeping cream are applied. My skin looks hydrated, healthy and has a youthful glow that I’ve been trying to achieve.

This touches the lines around my eyes so I don’t have to settle for a anti aging eye cream when I need a hudrating cream more for my dry under eye skin. This is my main anti aging serum and at almost 40, the few lines I had are barely there and I look so much younger than I am.

It makes me confident and feeling more attractive and I think that’s the point of all the work I put into my skincare routine. My goals are to look young, radiant and pretty and this is definitely a product that helps me achieve my goals.

I recommend it for anyone wanting an affordable, effective product that will give you results in a short time period and gives lasting long term results.

Soooo I’m so into reviewing products but especially super duper great products 💋💋💋 I bought this particular product and have been a repeat purchaser. I use this on my entire face, 2 layers under my eyes and along my tip lip.

First off n best part is I have noticed a diminishing of the fine lines under my eyes. So using it along my tip lip is a preventative measure, no fine lines there yet n I don’t want them! The packaging is nice because it fits nicely in my makeup case as to not misplace it lol I had 2 strokes at age 41 and I lose things🤷, the light fresh scent is one of my fav features of this skin cream.

Fragrance free is ok, n overpower smells are just gross. but this light fresh scent is so nice. Somehow it adds to the pleasure of a twice day skin care routine. The price isn’t bad as a lil bit goes a long way, and especially for the results.

I use it in the morning before makeup n after a anti redness serum so it is layerable and at night before bed so I wake up with super soft skin every morning ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍.

I avoided retinol products for years based on a reaction to something I tried a decade ago (redness, irritation). I have a deep “11” in the middle of my forehead and I’ve tried so many anti-aging serums and moisturizers.

Even the much-loved No. 7 Wrinkle Filler doesn’t do much for me. So I bit the bullet and tried this product with retinol. Well, after less than a week I was seeing results. The deepest wrinkle is noticeably better, and the finer lines on my forehead are fading away too.

Best of all, there’s been no adverse reaction–no issues, no irritation, itching, or redness. I am so impressed with this product that I’m going to be switching over to Roc moisturizer and eye cream, too.

For reference, I’m in my late 40s with average but aging skin. I use morning and night and it’s been amazing. I haven’t seen any other product do what this one does and I’m a skincare junkie and have tried a lot.

Worth the price, but recommend not buying from the manufacturer online–I use my drugstore rewards (CVS) and can cut the price in half, plus the base price is cheaper to start.

I have been using the Powerful Wrinkle Reducing cream for a few years now and so far it’s the best cream for me. I have in the past used all kinds of different creams and lotions but I find this cream works very well for me.

I have dry combination skin and do get a bit oily on my T zones during the day and dry on my cheeks. I usually cleanse and then exfoliate my face in the morning with a cellulose egg shaped facial loofah.

I then put on Powerful Strength Line Reducing concentrate, this Powerful Wrinkle Reducing cream and a sunscreen SPF 60. This cream has a distinct smell but it feels very soothing on my skin. My face feels very good when I put it on and it does not make my face oily during the day.

My face looks a lot more hydrated and smoother with this cream and I am hesitant to use other creams. My wrinkles are not as prominent and I find a youthful glow. I know everyone’s skin is different but this one is made just for me, it’s perfect for me.

A little is all that’s needed and a 50 ml bottle of cream seems to last me about 3 months or so. I highly recommend this cream and I am so glad I found something that really works. I am 55 and I am told that I don’t look my age and I have Kiehls to thank for helping me with my skincare.

I recently turned 70 and have included various Kiehls products in my skin care routine since my college days in NYC. In the past 10 years or so, I have purchased most of my facial products from my dermatologist, but had not been able to find a good product that included copper.

When I saw this cream, I decided to try it and am very satisfied. It absorbs well and I notice an overall “plumpness” to my skin that’s difficult to achieve at my age! I use it as my night cream and apply it on my neck (front and back) and chest as well.

I don’t use a separate eye cream. Some reviewers have mentioned an odor but I don’t notice anything unpleasant. It’s not scented and it contains copper so I would not expect a flowery fragrance.

I was excited to try this product – seemed on paper like a great combo; sun care with a robust SPF plus moisturizing properties. In reality this leaves quite a white cast even on my relatively fair to medium complexion.

It may not be as bad if you have fairer skin. The product would not rub in after multiple minutes of rubbing. I tried applying with a freshly washed face, and other times midday between washings with the same poor result.

Once applied it will leave your face very shiny and streaky. The worst part was I avoided applying near my eye area, but with any perspiration it will run into your eyes and sting considerably. For the price you would be better served saving your money by using a regular ‘smooth/dry touch’ sunblock from other brands rather than this all-in-one.

That all being said, as a sunblock it did protect me from the sun – just by no means better than other sunblocks on the market.

This is THE best moisturizer I have ever used and I have tried them all! I was hesitant because of the price but desperate to find a good moisturizer. I am 62, diabetic, had thyroid cancer and am a full time nurse wearing KN95/N95 mask all the time- my skin felt awful.

My skin looks so much better – This will be my go to moisturizer from now on! I am so happy -my skin looks and feels so much better and it does not take much so this will last. It’s also made a huge difference in the sagging g and wrinkling of my neck! Love this product!! I use the CEsta gel cleanser and just tried the Cesta eye cream- this eye cream is the only eye product that actually reduces the puffiness of my eye lids and does not make eyes water!!! This is a beautiful moisturizing product. I love the way this soaks into my skin. I have found other products to sit on top of my skin and not in. The weight is perfect, for me. It is between a light and thicker moisturizer.

It mixes really well with all of my primers and make up. Again with Marinin products you just want to get them and give them a real try. Like 3 months long try. You won’t see any result with one bottle of anything, period.

I used another moisturizer recently and it is nice but it doesn’t mix well with my make up or anything really. So I cherish a product that does it all.

I’m now on my third or fourth jar of Jan Marini’s eye cream. I haven’t even looked at or considered switching to other eye creams. I wear contacts and this cream is light and stays put. Other eye cream brands I’ve tried tended to “creep” into my eyes, causing my contacts to blur.

I have the typical crow’s feet (I call them laugh lines) but this eye cream has softened the lines. I’m pretty judgmental and analytical when it comes to skin care products, but I honestly believe this eye cream is a keeper!.

I have really enjoyed using this retinol cream. I started off using it every other night until I was sure my skin could tolerate it more frequently. Now I use it virtually every night as part of my skincare routine before bed.

It’s very easy to use, and the tube format with the pointed dispensing tip keeps the product inside from contamination and maintains its consistency and integrity. It also easily dispenses just enough to cover my wrinkled areas (forehead, elevens, marionette lines, etc.

) rather than my whole face, giving me more bang for my buck. As a cream, it feels good on my face and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin. It’s probably still too early to really see any obvious visible effects, but there certainly hasn’t been any inflammation or other bad side effects from using it.

My only complaint about this product is that, while La Roche-Posay says they never test their products on animals, they do sell their products in countries like China, where animal testing is mandated.

Even if they don’t test on animals, they have to pay some third party to do it, so their products are definitely NOT cruelty-free. That is just not acceptable to me, so unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product to anybody until it is truly 100% cruelty-free.

I will use this tube until it’s gone, but I won’t purchase it again.

I waited a long time to jump on the retinol bandwagon, primarily because my skin is super sensitive and I didn’t want to deal with the initial purge. I figured there’s no better time to try new skincare than during a pandemic, when you’re not really seeing anyone outside of your home anyway.

Earlier this year, I had a bad reaction to another popular retinol, and used LRP Cicaplast to heal my skin. Given my general success with LRP products, I decided to give this retinol a shot, and wow how I wish I had started using it earlier! I started off very slowly, working my way up from 1x weekly.

I sandwich this product between my regular moisturizer and LRP Cicaplast, which has allowed me to work my way up to almost nightly use with minimal irritation. Although it takes a few months to see the full effects of retinol, I saw a difference almost immediately.

Within a few uses, my pores appeared less congested, and my skin looked and felt smoother. 3-4 months later, I love what this product has done for my skin, and I find myself wearing much less makeup than I used to.

The smell isn’t my favorite, but fades pretty quickly, and you get used to it. This is my new holy grail product, I only wish I’d started using it sooner!.

I have been using the Redermic R Retinol Cream twice every day since it was delivered to me. I waited until the very last minute to write this review because I truly wanted to see what this product could accomplish.

In comparison to other products I have tried, this product stands head and shoulders above them all. The main reasons being that it did not irritate my skin overly much and it it showing serious signs of working! Win win.

All of the retinol products I have used in the past have made my skin feel like it was burnt. I hurt enough to stop using them. The Redermic R Retinol Cream does make my face very red soon after applying, but that fades as quickly as it appears.

Another thing that is fading is my pores. Yes, my 52 year old pores, which used to be a concern for me, are shrinking. Some are so small and tight I don’t see them anymore. My fine lines and wrinkles have not faded as drastically as my pores, but I have high hopes that with continued use, they too shall be diminished at least slightly.

The product itself is easy to apply. It has no scent and it blends into my skin quickly. I like it enough thus far to say that I will be purchasing this cream before I run out.

Very happy with this cream. I and husband have been using this for almost a year after a private skin specialist (Doctor) recommended including this in our nighttime skin routine for preventing age-related lines.

We feel it is working and my facial therapist agrees. Keep my face moisturised as well throughout the night. A 50ml tub lasts a long time because need to apply just a little bit. Remember, a little goes a long way.

I believe this contains both Retinol and Hyaluronic acid, so don’t use with other products using these ingredients at the same time.

This product is too good and highly recommended if you are searching for anti-ageing products. It is much better than other brands
