I bought the Mountain and Doctor varieties of the Zevia franchise, only to discover that, when I peeled back the label, they were just Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew cans. However, when I contrasted the flavor between the Zevias and regular Mountain Dew and Dr.

Pepper, I discovered they tasted much more. different. I had to find out the answer to this mystery. I ran to the grocery store and bought everything I could. For days, I mixed and matched different ingredients together, but I could never come close to the true taste of the Zevias that I had become fixated on.

Slowly, I began to realize that these drinks are something special. These drinks aren’t made from your run-of-the-mill grocery store ingredients, but something much more dark. I went to the Zevia headquarters in Los Angeles, the city of angels.

There was a strange aura around the building, and the shadow loomed over me, almost like the hand of curiosity, in all its dark nature, beckoned me forth. I entered the building. Obviously, the lobby was nice, and clean.

They had to keep a reputation, even through their shady dealings. But I still wanted to look around. I bolted past the front desk and ran downstairs. “Security!” called the receptionist. I knew they must be close behind, so I ran even faster.

The stairs seemed to go on forever, truly leading me into the belly of the beast. When I made it to the bottom, bullets were raining down on me. I dove into another room, and slammed the door behind me.

I stood up, and dusted myself off. When I looked up, though, my entire outlook changed. Live pigs, legs tied together with barbed wire, squealed as they were carried on a conveyer belt into a furnace.

I hid behind some boxes, and observed. A strange mist came out of these animals, and the mist was immediately canned by some of the thousand workers in this mile-long room. They all wore white hazmat suits.

I ran out as fast as I could, and escaped capture. I think I found out what the mist was. I am a big fan! Five stars from me and my children! The swines deserved it anyways!!!.

In my quest for a healthier alternative to aspartame in most diet sodas I tried Zevia’s and Virgil’s zero root beer. Virgil’s is the best but very limited or discontinued stock means I might be drinking my last.

Zevia does the trick in a pinch but is very sweet, like people have said. I can only really handle the kid sodas and the cherry cola. HOWEVER, I had a huge bottle of orange extract for some reason so I tried some in this cream soda and it is the best thing, very refreshing, somehow cuts the sweetness and tastes just like an orange creamsicle soda.

The grape and black cherry Zevia had just the artificial medicine flavor taste so I could not enjoy those. The lemon lime is ok and I’d be willing to try the orange, maybe adding vanilla extract in that.

The root beer is also ok, it has an almost berry like weird flavor I cannot identify but its fine, not like my favorite root beers at all which have a lovely wintergreen taste.

Barq’s root beer is delicious! It has what some describe a “bite” to it because there’s extra caffeine in this soda. It has a creaminess to the flavor along with some spices. It has an old fashioned feel from the barrel on the can to the actual taste.

It’s a must try! The absolute best root beer I’ve ever tasted was Hires root beer. That one was hands down the best! So Barq’s I’ll give you the silver medal!.

This is not up for debate. I’m 21 weeks pregnant and have made the executive decision that Barq’s and ONLY Barq’s must be in our house at all times. Sweet, we’ll-meaning husband tried to get me a different, very popular brand….

if nothing else, pregnancy works to totally disprove the saying “it’s the thought that countsâ€. These have been my only true craving so far and I can’t complain. The taste and crispness is unmatched.

This is my absolute favorite brand of Rootbeer. “Barqs has bite. ” You really get the bite of this drink. It contains caffine so to me this is more of an adult rootbeer. Kids often want Root Beer so select another non-caffeine version for them.

This does contain quite a bit of sugar (as a con) so I don’t drink these everyday. It’s difficult to find Barqs in my area as they are usually sold out. I buy lots when I see them.

I have just discovered this delicious beverage this past year! I enjoy the flavor of this birch beer! Tastes nothing like root beer, like you would think. It has more of a wintergreen vibe to it. I absolutely love the taste! They are perfect on a hot day with a bowl of vanilla ice cream! You could make a birch beer float! You will definitely be surprised with the flavor if you have never tried birch beer before, but I won’t be surprised if you really love it!.

An interesting take a cream soda. I picked up this seasonal cream soda at a local farm market. It has a nice taste to it but not exactly what I was thinking it was going to taste like. I would try others from this in the future but not sure I would pick this one up again.

I have a few family members who are “soda connoisseurs”. I mainly drink water so I’m always looking for the best available ingredients in a soft drink coupled with a palatable taste. During the holidays, these flew off the shelf! I even enjoyed one which is an extreme rarity.

Fitz’s is delicious and has real root beer taste. It’s made in a micro-brewery in St. Louis, unlike other sodas that are mass produced in another country and shipped here. Shipping heavy soda from another country when it can be made in the U.

Loved this product. I would rather have real sugar in moderation than that high fructose corn syrup garbage that your body doesn’t know what to do with it. It never had enough shelf space before the pandemic.

During and since the pandemic, it is no where to be found in the Chicago area. All the original flavor (non-diet) drinks seem to be all HFCS! That stuff is bad news. Guess I got on the wrong boat with Dr.

Pepper Made with Real Sugar. I switched over to Pure Leaf Raspberry Tea. Great resealable caps. It’s brewed (not from powder) and made with real sugar. Get my caffeine boost too.

It is clear that Zero Calorie is different from, and in my opinion inferior to, its predecessor, A&W Diet Root Beer. The new version is not bad, and I will drink it; but over time I expect the amount I buy and drink to diminish because it is not as good.

The biggest difference is in the finish, though the boldness of the overall taste and the carbonation and sweetness levels also seem to have been tweaked. The pleasant vanilla finish is gone, replaced by one that is metallic and has a touch of toothpaste-like faux mint.

I doubt that it is a coincidence that the new packaging does not state “made with aged vanilla,” as the Diet Root Beer cans, bottles and cartons proudly proclaimed. I know there are apologists/publicists claiming that this is just a rebranding and the “formula” is unchanged.

That strikes me as disingenuous. While the ingredients list has not changed, when comparing the two versions side by side it is obvious that there has been a change within one all-important listed ingredient: the “natural and artificial flavors.

” I hope the owners of the A&W brand will see fit to either change it back or to reintroduce the original Diet version as an alternative.

I now live in OKC. Since I cannot find it here, I have to drive to Texas to get it. 3 hours 1 way just for THIS Dr Pepper. Definitely. Last time I stocked up, I bought the store out. All 10 12-packs.

Thank goodness I did! I can no longer find it in Texas either! So disappointing. There is nothing better than THIS Dr Pepper. It tastes more like the DP from my childhood. I have introduced this to many people.

I actually SHARED my stash! Oh how sad I am. CORN SYRUP MIGHT BE CHEAPER FOR PRODUCTION, BUT IT IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR REAL SUGAR! The flavor is completely different. (lecture about corn syrup withheld here) No, I will NOT buy 12-pack(s) of regular DP after tasting this one.

Dr Pepper Made with Real Sugar has an absolutely amazing taste! There is no other soda that can compete with it, in my opinion. This Dr Pepper was one of the few good things that came out during the pandemic in 2020.

While switching to dozens of work meetings online and negotiating all the uncertainties of the future between March and September 2020 – Dr Pepper Made with Real Sugar made all of this just a little more bearable.

Everyday it was the small break I needed to get by. I sorely miss it and hope that it will be brought back soon. If it’s an issue of additional expense to produce, I feel confident that many of your customers would pay extra to have a soda with a better taste like this.

Stewart’s sodas are just exceptional. They just have such a creamy flavor, and a smoother texture with a more soft, gentle fizz than regular highly carbonated sodas. The orange cream sodas taste like a melted Creamsicle, but in a thinner, more drinkable soda form.

They are quite literally my favorite soda, and I can’t find them too frequently around where I live, which is endlessly saddening. These are always my go-to orange soda of choice. has a much stronger carbonation and a somewhat more stronger and acidic orange flavor, but where maybe is the more loud and rebellious party animal teen of the orange soda family, Stewart’s orange cream soda is the classy and sophisticated sibling who gets along with everyone and whom everyone adores.

It is the golden child, the one who’s down to earth and friendly and just as nice in person as they appear to be upon first introduction.

I gave up soda and have been on the hunt for a great tasting seltzer. I like a good lemon or lime flavor but now I have both with Schweppes Lemon Lime Sparkling Water. You get a lot of bubbles without feeling the burn and the flavor is light yet crisp and refreshing.

A good balance of lemon and lime for a perfectly satisfying and great tasting seltzer. I think it looks great in a tall clear glass over ice with all the carbonation bubbling away. Love it!.

I received Schweppes Lemon Lime Sparkling Water from tryitsampling in exchange for my honest review. This drink is super delicious and extremely refreshing. It comes in a portable can that is easy to open.

It contains no sugars or salts. It’s super cold, bubbly and just amazing. The lemon lime flavor definitely shines through to make this not your average seltzer water. I highly recommend it.

They didn’t just change the packaging in the last 3 months, the flavor is different as well. It’s less carbonated and the flavor is very faint and bland. Really disappointed in this change. My s/o and I drink at least 1 can a day each and may have to switch to Polar brand going forward.

If I had to pick a nostalgic summer flavor this would be it! The sweet cream and orange flavor with the light carbonation… dreamy, dreamy, dreamy! Luckily my favorite garden supply store stocks these throughout the summer so I get one ever visit, because… no self control! 😋.

Although not quite as fast, I think I’ll be using this service over Amazon’s incompetent slave driving when it comes to things like soda. Besides, this is a brand that I absolutely love and had all the time in a local sandwich shop in Charleston.

This was years ago and it had to close, but it was a nice place, and this glass bottled soda, primarily the black cherry flavor, was excellent with their sandwiches. I couldn’t find the black cherry flavor for some reason, so I went for the root beer, but I can’t say I’m disappointed.

In fact, I’m impressed not just with the product, but how carefully this entire matter was handled. Let this be a lesson to those still using Amazon for sodas. Speed isn’t everything, but timing is. And this package had good timing.

This cheek color is spot on! Product looks very natural and is light weight. Wish this came in a bigger pallet size. Blends well and can be blended into a nice contour/bronzer to highlight you cheeks.

The A&W Zero sugar tastes quite like the original. Not quite as good but really close. It has all the flavors from the birch root that makes A&W distinct but without the added sugar, which is a huge bonus.

I drank this out of a mug with ice, in case that is helpful. Tasty and refreshing. In case any adult enthusiasts were curious, after writing the first part of this review, I added a bit of dark rum to see how it is as a mixer.

I absolutely love this soda but can never find it especially if I need to have it delivered. I am legally blind and cannot drive and my husband is tired of going to every store trying to find it. You can only blame the pandemic for so long.

I love root beer. I have tried a few different brands and barqs is the best. It just has the best flavor. I don’t drink it everyday. I like to save it for when we bring take out home to eat. It’s a nice treat then.

Different brands of root beer taste different! I absolutely LOVE Barq’s Root beer the best! I try to stick to only one soda at most a day it’s usually Barq’s Root beer. The only problem is that it is difficult to find.

Absolutely beautiful color, and compliments African American skin tones (which is extremely hard to do for darker skin). This one specifically adds just enough pigmentation. I like to dust it on my eyelids as well.

Have been drinking Hanks for upwards of 10 years. Still my favorite. Abita is a close second. Try the Wishniak Black Cherry and the Orange Cream. Both are stellar too.

It is rich, full-flavored, full-bodied, balanced and sweet enough yet mild enough for any root beer lover to enjoy! When you taste it you can pick up on many different notes in the formula like wintergreen, molasses, hints of birch, anise, and licorice and all of that is what makes a root beer taste great.

I am collecting all of the old glass bottle, metal capped sodas from my “yoot. ” Just got a wicked off-season deal on a propane grill. Mounted a retro Coca Cola bottle opener, a bunch of grill accessories and even a classically styled Coleman cooler.
