20 Best Daily Face Wash For Men (2023 Updated)

I should have written this review a long time ago, but here it is. My son was struggling with acne that covered most of his face. We went to see a dermatologist, and of course, they recommended and put him on a certain medication that starts with the letter A( that the filter will not allow me to type in this review.

) After 2 months of seeing what that medication was doing to my son (please research warnings/side effects before putting your child on this) I stopped the medication and searched for a new skin care line to try.

I purchased this cleanser and the face moisturizer to go with it. I made sure my son used both products morning and night every single day. Literally, within a couple weeks, his skin was clearing up beautifully.

After a month of use, he had a completely clear, beautiful complexion. He received complements regularly on how great his skin looked. It’s been 2 years since I purchased our first Jack Black facial products and to this day, my son’s skin is flawless.

My husband and other son also use JB products. In my opinion, Jack black products are very cost effective, considering how long they last and how well they work. I’m not saying it works for everyone, just saying that if you are at the point of considering Acc—–, give this a try first!.

Initially I wasn’t so sure about shelling out $40 for a cleanser but the amount of product you get will probably last all year if you’re only cleansing your face twice a day. I only use half a pump as well, not to be conservative but a full pump is too much for my face.

I love the good ingredients in this product plus being free of sulfates, parabens, unnecessary fragrances, dyes, etc. The cleanser isn’t super foamy or stripping but has a nice creamy/milky consistency when a bit of water is added and is massaged onto the face.

In the morning my face feels clean and ready for the day after washing with this and applying the Jack Black Double Duty spf 20 moisturizer (which also works well for me underneath my makeup). In the evening after using a makeup wipe this cleanser gently cleans off my remaining makeup and my skin doesn’t feel like it’s stripped of oils and dried out.

The smell isn’t bad either, fairly herbal due to the ingredients (looking at you sage and rosemaries) but not overwhelming and I enjoy it. I always look forward to washing my face with this product. All in all I will continue to use this product because of the amount you get for the price plus the way it performs, and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to try a new cleanser.

Oh my only beef with it is the pump head popped off when I recieved it but it still works so it wasn’t a big deal. I would have been choked if the pump was totally broken though, maybe they could up their game in how they ship this product so the pump doesn’t break via shipping.

My husband is one of those easy care guys. He does the basic: soap, shampoo, deodorant. Then because is shaves his head (no hair left), I encouraged him to add sunscreen everyday in the morning, on face, neck and head.

He has very light skin. When I bought this cleanser for him, I didn’t think he would go for it, but as he started using it, he never went back. Now this. little lives in the shower and it has been replaced over and over again for new ones once it runs out.

The smell is light and not noticeable much on the skin. I recommend it!.

Still it was a necessary experience, MB knows her stuff, is incapable of lying, and is about as subtle as a sherman tank with her opinions. Not terrible eh? Its a start. Dark grey packaging lets you know this is for Men.

Orange. Orange means anti acne apparently. Wife approves of the smell. Clear with a handsoap like texture. Lots of lather, leaves skin feeling a bit dry and tight. After a week of using the product definitely reduced the severity and appearance of the stubborn acne on my chin area.

See before (gray suit) and after photos. Unfortunately the product is just too drying. I developed face dandruff. I could just brush my face and a little flurry of dried skin would just dust off. Probably wouldn’t be terrible if used once a day with lots of good moisturizer but I think it’s time for me to move on.

Not sure if this did anything for my acne. At the time my acne wasn’t horrible and I was new to the whole facial regimen/routine and skincare stuff. This smelled fine but for acne clearing I don’t think it was strong enough for me.

My boyfriend had this at his apartment and I used it one night. I absolutely love this smell of this to begin with. It is similar to the other acne washes the company has so if you like those products, I would recommend this.

It’s still gentle on the skin even though it is for men. It is affordable and I love it!.

I’ve been using this product since 2005 or 2006. When I started it was about $3/tube. Over the years, price went up like everything else. Didn’t mind too bad at 5/tube before COVID. Then at 8/tube during COVID was a little upset.

Now, somehow in a post COVID disaster, I can’t find it on store shelves. And when I find it available from sellers online, it appears to be $20+/tube. What’s going on? I have half a tube left and am getting ready to go buy some competitor face washes to start comparing.

My husband, myself, and our two teens use this. it’s the best hands down! Not only do we know our skin is getting a healthy yet gentle clean from it, but we feel fresh and clean afterwards form its invigoration, too! That “minty tingle” (I’ll call it) is what made me and my teen daughter switch to my husband’s product.

Use to buy at Walmart and Taget and tried 3 different stores today and couldn’t find it. Please don’t discontinue it ever.

I was using another face wash that is now discontinued. I have always respected Neutrogena and felt I would try their face wash. I was very impressed, especially with the scent. I use it nightly before I shave, and it has worked out well.

I could have saved a few cents buying it online from another vendor, but chose to order it directly from Neutrogena.

I was quite surprised with this product’s gentle formula and performance. As someone with a particularly bothersome nose, I develop lots of sebum in my pores, and thus prefer more aggressive cleansing products.

Lucky Tiger Face Wash does a very good job clearing surface-level gunk, with a lovely orange and cucumber scent to complement. The drawback to it is that it doesn’t get deep enough. I always find myself developing that annoying grainy texture on my nose the following day because of residual sebum.

It’s a frustrating nuisance, but on the plus side, it doesn’t really stimulate excess oil formation due to its mild cleansing properties. Because of that, I’ve rarely noticed zits popping out unexpectedly.

My experience with it has been positive so far, though it’s still new to my rotation. We’ll see how it holds up in the future, but it’s looking good.

I really like this product – it has a subtle fresh orange scent and while it’s a scrub, it’s not excessively abrasive so your face feels like it’s getting a deep clean without getting sandblasted! It’s especially great on days I shave – I feel it gives me a closer shave if I wash with this first.

Will totally be getting another bottle when this one runs out.

I’ve seen Lucky Tiger products before, and despite being taught not to judge a book by its cover, I’ve always avoided them due to the uninspired “traditional apothecary” look. In this case, my assumptions were correct as this is the 2nd-worst face scrub I’ve purchased from Fendrihan.

While I’d like to give it a better rating due to it’s high-quality ingredient lineup, the non-existent exfoliant properties leave it at 2 stars. The lather is decent, as is the scent, but I couldn’t feel any scrubbing action whatsoever.

My wife tried it as well and said the same thing, and her skin is much softer and smoother. Her skin is also highly sensitive and she had a visible breakout about 10 minutes after using this. No more Lucky Tiger products for me.

This seemed like a great find. It exfoliated perfectly. The smell wasn’t over powering. However, after using it a a few times I noticed that my skin started to become irritated and sensitive after using it.

It was even to the point a friend pointed out my face was red hours after using it. I’m not sure what ingredient in this is causing patches of my skin to burn and be red. Maybe it’s just me, but if it weren’t for that reaction.

I’d give this product 5 stars. Just so unfortunate my skin broke out in burning splotchy rashes. So many face washes are over powering in scent. This was perfect, just a touch. The way it worked reminded me of St.

Ives peach scrub whcih I used to use all the time.

I am very happy to have found a compatible facial cleanser for my skin type. This product has a neutral smell and a slightly yellowish gel. It is very simple to use and doesn’t require much in each use.

It has been lasting me for more than 3 months now. My skin feels soft and comfortable after shower. I continue to apply Cetaphil lotion afterwards and I find this combination to be very soothing and effective.

My breakouts are controlled while my skin feels soft. I used to have PanOxyl 4% which successfully helped me control my breakouts as well but I realized the product was not soothing my skin or helping it heal as much as preventing/treating breakouts.

This product is great and I plan to switch to it permanently! Thank you and please keep up with the effective ingredients.

If you are someone, who enjoys a clean, not so heavily scented, light cleanser on your face, then this would be a product to use. I especially love the fact it is Made in the USA. And for those folks, who are concerned about animal product, this is for you.

It’s a vegan product and I can’t tell the difference. Still feels good on the face. I have used it twice a day and it leaves the skin soft. Honestly, I can’t tell the difference between this product and the more high end cleansers.

It works, smells good and it’s good for the earth, I guess. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new facial cleanser.

If you have Rosacea, these products are amazing. I’ve had Rosacea for 30 years. Dermatologists are no help. Found dessert Essence and finally clear beautiful skin. I Clean my face with their Thoroughly Clean Face Wash.

Use Australian Tea Tree oil straight on my face. Cover with their Revitalizing Oil Moisturizer. When needed use their Gentle Facial Scrub. Results- no more weepy Rosacea breakouts, no more flaky patches, redness almost completely gone.

This left my skin feeling clean and ready for my products without leaving the skin too squeaky clean or stripped which I sometimes find many brands more targeted towards men do. No real scent but you can slightly smell the ingredients but doesn’t linger on the skin, which for me is perfect!.

This is my second purchase of this face wash. I’ve tried more expensive ones, but I find this product is just as good. A little goes a long way. It doesn’t dry out my skin. My skin feels clean. My wife has started to use it as well.

This face wash feels amazing. Very gentle but powerful and non drying. A tiny bit goes a long way and it lathers very very well. My face feels fresh light and most importantly clean after I use this product.

Kiehl’s would not let me post this review on their website, so it just goes to show you how they filter out the negative reviews. I received a travel size in one of those birch box things and used it every now and then and loved how it lathered and felt after washing my face so I decided to get a larger bottle when I eventually ran out.

I started using this everyday and it destroyed my face. I started getting red bumps on my cheek, my acne hadn’t been that bad since high school. I ended up throwing it in the trash. Once I started using Cerave products my skin cleared up in a week or so.

This stuff is so expensive compared to your typical skincare brands and didn’t work well for me at all, very disappointed.

I love the invigorating feeling this face wash provides, wakes you up in the morning. I love the foam action and thorough clean it provides. Can’t keep using it though, not down with all of the sulfates, artificial fragrance, and ARTIFICIAL COLOR, WHY OH WHY?! Not good for the consumer and not good for the environment.

This cleanser could easily be reformulated to exclude these terrible ingredients and would still provide the exact experience and results. Hopefully more consumers speak up and Kiehls will either reformulate or make an “organic” or “clean formula” version as an alternative.

After using Facial Fuel Energizing Facial Wash for 15 years, I decided to try a different brand. That was a serious mistake! Went thru 3 brands. the cheapest is readily available & was ok; the next caused immediate breakouts; the last was a real dog that didn’t rinse well & made my skin very dry.

Tried to use the cheap one to clear up the issues the others caused, it helped a little, definitely didn’t clear it up. So, I’m back to Kiehls Facial Fuel line & am staying. Yeah, it’s expensive, but you don’t have to use nearly as much as the others I tried.

That & the fact that it works without the breakouts or over drying is worth the extra money.

My husband absolutely loves this face wash! He is usually not so vocal about certain things once he is you know it’s legit! He told me that it doesn’t dry out his skin but it also controls the oils in his skin.

He has seen a reduction in blemishes consistently using this twice a day and the scent is fresh and clean. .

This product is amazing! It foams up just slightly between your hands for you to rub all over your face. My skin feels so clean and soft after washing with this. It also helps to soften my stubble too.

All this without my skin feeling dry or too tight.

I purchased this when my skin was much more oily than it is now. I was hoping to get a better result in face wash as I wasn’t seeing a big result in my skin from using the standard Mild Cleanser from Clinique and it was recommended to try this.

Unfortunately, it dried my skin insanely and left me with more textured skin than I had in the beginning. Even after I moisturized with the Clinique for Men Oil-Free Moisturizer my skin was still very tight and very dry.

My face breakouts and inflammation did not improve and tended to flare up more than before using the line. Just because it says For Men does not mean it is best for men. I find the line overall to be a lot more harsh on the skin than traditional Clinique products.

I received this #freeproduct# Nivea men Face scrub. I never thought of taking care of my skin like my wife does. However I am in the right path now when I received this Nivea men scrubber. My facial is normally rough and do have white heads here and there.

After using this scrubber for a week I did see a good change in my skin, which is smooth now as if I have had some rough layer which is smoothen now. The white heads are less and hope with continuous usage they will be gone.

I use this while in shower and follow by the face wash. Its texture is gel like with scrubbing particles , not harsh on the skin. I could feel I am getting. a good clean up at each use. I like its fragrance which is very refreshing.

However I would suggest a fragrance free option too. Overall a must needed product for my skin.

I know face “scrubs” have been knocked down for their skin-stripping effect but this is different! not only is this facial scrub an AMAZING cleanser but it does not strip the skin or cause any can breakouts.

I am a teenage girl who has struggled with acne forever, this wash is the perfect exfoliation after a long day in a mask or even after sweating or working out or for a good pick me up considering the minty feel which is also a plus.

Okay, so this is the first face wash I’ve tried, but I really like it. It has a very pleasant minty scent, and you can feel the mint in it soothing your skin, as you use it. You can also feel the exfoliating ingredient as you massage it into your skin.

You’ll need to clean your wash hand basin very well after, to get rid of all the little exfoliant particles which you can feel but can’t see.

It definitely is a gentle exfoliate. If you are looking for something with more texture, this isn’t it. I appreciate that it is gentle enough for sensitive skin like mine. The scent is peppermint but isn’t noticeable.

Perhaps that’s a good thing. I am a fan of Harry products.

I’ve always had an oily complexion and most cheaper facial scrubs clean well, but leave my face quite oily about 30 minutes after a shower. So I thought I’d spend a little extra and get the Clinique for Men Face Wash Oily Skin Formula.

It took about a week, but my skin is definitely less oily after each nightly shower. I feel that the product still cleans my skin well, but doesn’t result in an oily outburst in the hours after. I still have and I guess i always will have an oily complexion, but the clinique oil control fave wash definiely helps control it.

I will continue to buy this product as the extra cost is worth it.

A very effective face wash that I use as part of the prescribed 3-step approach. Overall, it is helping reduce T-zone shine and general oiliness. It seem very mild and not at all drying, so am somewhat perplexed as to how it works so well! Good value too as a little lathers up well to give a good thorough cleanse.

Finding a suitable skin care product is not easy. I tried this after using quite a few other brands. It doesn’t make my skin feel dry and that is one thing that you want from a daily face wash. I recommend to try it if you have an oily skin like me.

Dear heavens. I do not do reviews often unless something has completely “wow” floored me or near traumatized me so horrendously that I have to say something. This was one of those moments. First, the perfume.

If you have sensitive skin (which I do not) don’t even look in the direction of this face-wash. Look at origins, gentle foam face-wash. Second, I used this face wash ONCE and the next day my face was littered with red little pimples that hurt so bad I could barely touch my face near the respective areas.

I had to return it immediately. Third, I had make up on. When I got out of the shower after washing my face, I still had make up on. It removed what a swiped of my finger would’ve. I could clear as day see there was no way it would reach into my pores, de-clog in anyway, or even deep clean my face.

When I was reading the reviews for it, I saw that most of the customer that stayed true to the brand were older women. But to the youth, who get curious about the brand because it has to be good right? It’s expensive because it’s a great product and is what I need.

Trust me sweetheart. There’s better. If you want a deep action pore cleaner that will truly penetrate your skin and give you a fresh face everyday with near no break outs- we’re human. We will never get the perfection we want and see on others so love yourself and the one or two pimples you will get on occasion just from life- origins, gentle foam cleanser OR origins, clear improvement which is what I upgraded to.

Our skin is different when we’re older. Maybe when I’m in my 50s I’ll try this again. But my younger skin was not a fan.

I absolutely love this fragrance. So much so yeah I’ve been wearing it for over 25 years and it’s one of the main reasons I shop at Victoria’s Secret. The best way to describe the smell would be a little bit of fruity and a little bit of floral.

You can smell peach and apple when it comes to the fruity side and lilac and jasmine when it comes to the floral side. The description on the website says that there are notes of musk, woods, and tamarind however, I don’t really pick up on those.

Maybe your nose is better at its job than mine? I highly recommend Love Spell to anyone and everyone. I have never met a single person who has said they don’t like the scent. The smell is also unique and prominent; you can notice when someone is wearing it every time and usually right away.

It’s an unmistakable scent and it’s not overpowering like a lot of perfumes/body sprays are. So. next time you’re near a Victoria’s Secret, stop in and give it a spray on the test strip. I can almost guarantee that you’ll love it.

This is a good cleanser if you are looking for something basic that is very gentle and non-drying on the skin. It has minimal scent, definitely removes makeup and dirt, but nothing too intense in the cleaning area – my face feels clean and not tight, but not SUPER clean like it would with a double cleanse or an exfoliant/polish.

This cleanser is good but for me it just didn’t give me that super clean feeling I like to have. One note: I did used to swear by this cleanser years ago and if you get the extra large size and just refill your smaller bottle as it runs out, you will save a lot of money and it will last you a very long time! Something worth a try if you do end up falling in love with this cleanser or want to cut down your spending on skincare.

So, I have combination skin type – both oily and dry. I tried the Lab series facial cleanser today and I was thoroughly impressed. I went for a solid run and being in Houston the weather is extremely hot and humid today, sweat all over my face needed to be cleaned! I decided to give the new Lab Series face wash a go.

I used a tiny dollop, and lathered it into my hands then rubbed circles around my face. Automatically I was hit with a refreshing smell and could feel my pores clearing/opening up. Only negative, if anything, I wish it was slightly more gel based than soluble but it’s a terrific product! It will definitely be my go-to’s after long, hot runs!.

When it comes to skin care routines I’m the type of guy that will try anything and everything. I haven’t settled on that perfect set for my person needs but the Lab Series RESCUE WATER GEL CLEANSER is a top contender for my daily face wash.

I have combination type skin and fluctuate between being oily and super dry on different parts of my face. After my first use of this cleanser I immediately noticed how moisturized my skin felt while still feeling clean.

It didn’t have the same tight, drying feeling I’d get with other cleansers that then prompted my skin to produce more oil to overcompensate. After using this daily for a couple of weeks, I’m loving just how normal my skin feels.

For over a month I’ve used this cleanser now. It’s become a frequent product as the first step in my morning routine. It is very soft on the skin but does a great job in cleansing, what I like most is the convenience.

It foams up very quick and washes off quickly too, making it ideal for a morning cleanse when I’m short on time.

Stumbled on this when grabbing more Method Men body wash. Gave this and the face lotion a try. Here are my thoughts: Pros – makes my face feel clean with no residue, doesn’t leave my combination skin dry nor oily in areas, value is fantastic compared to much more expensive face washes I have tried.

Cons – overpowering fragrance in my opinion. Not really something that should be added to a face wash due to potential negative reactions and this one is strong. Very liquid – falls out of the bottle without any squeezing, meaning it can be a little on the messy side and can use too much if you’re not careful.

Overall, I like it and at the price point I will continue using it. Goes well with the lotion and I haven’t had any breakouts so far which is great for me due to my acne-prone skin.

I would like to say that the Method Company does an excellent job of packing my Method goods for shipping; they were packaged exceptionally well and presented in such a way that they were like receiving a gift, because the items were first double boxed (to prevent crushing) and second, they were packaged as if gift wrapped-making the whole experience exceptional and unexpected.

As to the quality of the product, the Method Men Post Shave Balm is highly effective, not too thick or too thin; furthermore, the bottom allows precise application through a control flap/bladder, which dispenses precise amounts of the balm at any given time and without spillage.

I gave this to my husband who is very picky about the products he uses on his body. He actually likes it and I do too. The scent is nice/masculine but not overpowering. It does not interfere with the smell of his cologne (which would be a deal breaker).

Love this facial scrub! Had run out of my usual scrub (clin. for men), so I decided to give this one a try. I have very oil skin and still get the isolated acne whitehead even at age 43. This product has help to keep the breakouts from occurring.

I wash with my usual cleanser and follow with this scrub. A little goes a long way, I don’t have to vigorously rub my face to feel like it is doing it’s thing, and after leaving it on for one minute, my face feels smooth and clean.

I’ve looked for years for the perfect face wash for my skin. This is it! I have combination skin that’s more towards the oily side. This was specifically designed for men and has salicylic acid in it with other great ingredients.

This product is a fantastic ‘Must have’ facial cleanser. It is strong enough for a deep cleanse yet it does not leave any nasty RED blotches from after use. The texture has been milled to clean the skin without any harsh scratching and the smell and fragance is mild so the ingredients dont unnecessary irritate the skin.

I have found using this product it controls breakouts and it really does leave the skin refreshed.

Overall great for face wash, no dry skin. Just one little minus which applies to all face wash products. Packing is slippery when wet and keeps falling if under the shower which brakes lid nipple and product leaking of from container ( as it designed to stand on lid.

Little revision should be made on this matter and packaging with better grip should be provided. But again, nice fragrance and keeps skin moisturised.

Always searching for a mens face wash that does the job. Personally, this is it for me,lasts a long time, for me anyway as I only need a dab of it on my hands. Not much water, then it lathers up enough for your face.

You get a good clean but it doesn’t leave your skin dry. For men who use moisterisers after on their face, I feel you don’t need to. Just to add I’ve tattoo’s facially and if gentle I find this face wash is fine on them too.

All in all a great wash, clean and feels good after. Personally, I’d recommend it but don’t use too much as its just wasted.
