Surface Curls Smoothing Cream was recommended by a friend who, despite coloring her hair, has very soft and smooth hair. My own hair is damaged from coloring, extremely frizzy especially in moist weather, and straw-like.

I tried all kinds of products, but nothing helped. So far this product has done wonders. I put on a generous amount all over my towel-dried hair and let it dry on its own. I then finish with a little bit of coconut oil on the most damaged part of my hair to smooth it out further.

Miraculously, my hair no longer frizzes even when I am by the ocean and it looks much healthier.

The It’s a 10 Coily Leave-In is a quality leave-in product. I tested out the leave-in on towel dried hair and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I loved the fine mist applicator; I felt like it gave me a lot of control where I wanted the product and how much I actually wanted to apply, making it easy to apply evenly thoughout my hair.

It also felt super light weight and made it easier to detangle my hair. I noticed that my hair felt more moisturized as well as appearing less frizzy afterwards. I liked the scent, though I felt like it was slightly too strong (fragrance was listed as the 5th ingredient).

Though I used this product to style my natural hair texture, you can also use it for any hair styles as well e. g. braids, beach waves, curls, straight hair. It also provides heat protection and helps reduce breakage.

The leave-in is formulated with avocado oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and monoi extract which together nourishes the hair with vitamins that strengthen + impart softness and manageability. Overall, it is a good, versatile leave-in that I would recommend for a friend!.

Hydrates without weighing your hair down, smoothes frizz without minimizing the natural shape of your curls. I use it on my clients who have that thick coarse frizzy hair that needs some moisture and frizz control.

It is the first product I use while hair is still dripping wet, it’s a great base product for styling curly hair and providing a good canvas for other curl products, then I will utilize water and spray hair to make sure it is still super soaked, I ask them to put their head upside down and scrunch with an old t-shirt (another frizz eliminating trick).

Soaking wet hair, that is detangled and primed with a product like this, and a bit of strategic scrunching and twisting will give you the most beautiful waves and curls without the frizz. This product is the ultimate curl hydrator in my opinion, and great curls start with hair being moisturized and soft.

It also protects against heat I believe. If I have clients who’s curls tend to fall flat at the root and require more body I will use a diffuser with their head upside down to give the roots some volume.

Not as helpful as I’d hoped it would be. Mostly feels like putting diluted old-school hairspray on my hair. Leaves a slight, but definite crunchy feeling, a pleasant smell, and a distinct dry look behind after spraying on damp hair and allowing to air dry (or “plopping” dry).

Does nothing to enhance the natural wave of my hair – which is at least partially due to my hair’s own quirkiness, but also partially due to ineffective Bounce Me. Probably would work much, much better in hair with a tighter curl to it.

I really wanted to like it after hearing lots of good things, and it’s not a bad product, just not for me.

I love the citrusy clean (and light) smell of this product. I strongly detest heavily fragranced products and all of the Design Me products that I’ve tried are faintly scented which is wonderful!! My hair is soft after use, and I don’t find that I have “whispy” hairs that can’t be tamed.

My hair is naturally wavy and I spray this product on damp (along with the Design Me leave in treatment), scrunch my hair, and I’m good to go! I find it has great volume as well! Very happy with this and all their products!.

I am having a great experience with these products so far. I purchased the curly hair bundle, so shampoo, conditioner, curl balm, and spray gel. And after the first wash I feel like my hair just came to life.

My curls are soft, they hold their shape, and lasted for like 3 days even after sleeping on them. My only disappointment is that when they arrived my shampoo bottle had been leaking all over the box.

I guess the lid was not fastened all the way on, and so all my bottles were a little sticky and covered in shampoo. But with a quick rinse off everything was fine. Shipping was surprisingly fast, and I got everything that I asked for.

Holy …. does anyone care about what they put on their skin and hair. Does anyone read the ingredients. There are soooooo many bad ingredients in these products. Cetyl Alcohol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Parfum, Stearyl Alcohol, etc etc… Look them up people.

The natural light ingredient they give you like argan oil is not even in the ingredient list. It says sulfate free but has Sodium Dodoxynol-40 Sulfate as an ingredient. How disgraceful to advertise your products as ALWAYS CLEAN ….

Fraudulent!!! The ingredients are mostly harmful to your skin. let alone your hair.

Thank you for this curl bounce product gifted to me by DESIGN ME. Ummm HELLLOOOO moisture!!! This is an amazing product, especially for my curly crew. With curly hair we are naturally dry, not too add I’m also blonde so any color treated curls might be dying of thirst & this product definitely quenches it! The smell & texture is awesome for creating a beautiful bounce and healthy shine.

It’s super weightless but holds my curl pattern in place for days. I love it!.

I have 2C, high density, coarse, porous, long hair. Since adding heavy highlights to blend the grays, my hair has been a dry, frizzy nightmare! I have read endless product reviews, watched countless You Tube Videos regarding care and products for my hair.

I have purchased so many products that it is insane, and none fully managed to clump my curls/waves and provide humidity protection. I use a leave in conditioner applied in the shower to soaking wet hair.

I then use a curl primer. I scrunch these products into hair and micro plop to remove excess water. I then apply curl keeper just like gel, using praying hands method to coat each curl. I add more to the crown and smooth over waves.

I then plop for 10-30 minutes depending on if I’m air drying or diffusing. I actually prefer to air dry and this product allows that, though it takes hours to dry. Can form a slight cast which I actually love.

Once fully dry any crunch is easily scrunched out. I NEVER have shine in my hair due to the coarse texture but with this my curls are defined and shiny. Best part is that even in high humidity this holds perfectly.

I cannot speak to 2nd or 3rd day hair as I haven’t been able to test this part yet. This product will always be in my rotation!.

Nice fruity scent but not overwhelming sweet scented! Curl Keeper Original is an amazing Curl definer when applied appropriately! After shampooing deep conditioning my natural curly hair, I applied a very generous amount of the ORIGINAL Curl Keeper to my wet hair, from roots to tips and then with wide tooth comb, I detangled my very long locks while distributing the product evenly! Flipped my head over, worked my fingers through my roots, scrunching as I went! Flipped my head back up, scrunching some more, tips to roots and vice versa! Now, I have dried my hair different ways, giving me different results! Air-dry, towel dry and blow dry with diffuser attached of course! My preference would be Air-dry as it seems to work better for my liking! I actually reapplied the product sparingly and scrunching some more! Ilove that this hair styling product does NOT leave build-up or yucky white flakes on/in my hair, no matter how much I apply or how often! The reason is because it has a water-based formula which I have found, re-activates with water! I’ve went for days without washing my hair while I reapplied to my roots and tips daily after spritzing it with water to re-wet or just dampen! Scrunching is key for long curly locks! Little to no frizz, thankfully! My curls a more defined and way less frizzy than prior to me not applying the Original Curl Keeper styling product! It works wonders on your curls, even in high humidity, day after day!.

This product is clean for CGM however I do have some things to say. My routine is the next I shower with shampoo and conditioner from @sheanoisture then as soon as I get out of the shower I don’t put a towel on my hair I just take the excess of water with my hands and then I apply my smoothie from @sheamoisture and then I I put my fiber towel for 15 min.

After this I take out the towel and apply a little bit of gel in all my hair and that’s it. Regarding the product it’s really nice the consistency is pretty thin not thick at all like a normal gel. It left my hair amazingly beautiful like in the Pic but it did dry my hair and it’s really like you can’t more your hair anywhere cause it’s hard.

And I don’t like they I like it a little more natural. But I guess it all depends on taste, but is not for me.

For the good: This styler provides a light yet firm hold that is *perfect* for fragile fine hair. I rake it through my wet hair with my fingers and then scrunch with a T-shirt. When it’s fully dry, there is a bit of a cast that I shake out gently at the roots.

It provides shine and definition. And controls frizz without weighing down those lanky waves. My hair has never looked cuter. For the bad: Once I wash it out, this styler leaves my hair dry and straw-like.

I never use heat on my already-damaged hair, and this left behind a frizzy fried mess. This whole line for wavy hair is extremely drying for my hair; which is a bummer bc Living Proof is one of my favorite brands!!! I wish it left my hair in better shape because as a styler, it rocks.

This gel is excellent stuff. I’d give it an “E” anytime for excellent! Incidently, there is nothing like abstinence to solve global over population. But then we do not have that problem now, since everyone has already got the covid shot, which makes said volunteers sterile or barren permanently.

Just have to leave it to the Catholic Church from 3rd world countries to make up for the shortfall, since abstinence belongs to the annals of history and is foreign to beauty queens from jungle villages aka cleaners here in the USA.

I add a dab or 2 onto my fingers and just lightly go over and frizzes or loose hair and wa-la no fly always and it dries on SOFT! its not sticky and it doesn’t weigh your style or curls down. I dont know what Id do without it.

Definitely worth every penny. Try it you’ll Love it :).

Although this product defines my curls, it is too stiff and crunchy, for my liking. some may want that stiff curl lok, but i prefer my curls to be looser softer than this product gives me.

Love this stuff. Great amount of product in the bottle sure to last u a bit. There’s two different types of product in this bottle,one is a nice thick cream,the other a thick more yellow gel like substance.

Don’t even get me started on the smell. Pure heaven,smells like the best lemon meringue pie ever made. Doesn’t leave my hair crusty or crispy. Gives me nice waves.

After so many years of trying to make my hair straight by using straightening products, I decided to embrace my natural curls. The bottom and back of my hair is curly but the front and top are straight.

My hair is thin and fine also. About two months ago I found this product and honestly, was surprised by how well it worked. I use it after a shower when my hair is damp, put a small amount of the defrizzing side in my hand, start from the ends and scrunch up my curls.

Then use the defining side the same way and then will put some on the top and sides of my hair. I don’t usually mix the two sides, which I found using them separately works best for me. I’ve also used this product when my hair is dry but again, not together.

If it’s a day that I dont plan to go anywhere and don’t care how my hair looks, I’ll mix the two sides together because it’s a little quicker. I love that it’s inexpensive too. Especially when it’s on sale.

After years of blow drying and straightening my hair I decided to embrace its natural waves. I’ve tried a lot of products including straight coconut oil but nothing worked. My hair was dried out or stiff and untouchable.

First use I saw a big difference. I had defined waves and curls in my hair like I hadn’t seen in using any other product. I have a shoulder length lob cut. I use a small amount of each product that I mix in my palm and then I spread in my hair as i scrunch it.

Allow to dry and that’s it, beautiful waves that even the next day look good. Smells wonderful too.

I absolutely Love this mousse. I’ve tried other brands and always go back to this one. It provides the perfect amount of hold for my curls, controls frizziness, and gives proper definition.

I absolutely love this product! I apply it on damp hair and when the hair dries, it leaves it shiny and soft. I get beautiful soft beachy waves with this mousse. I have thick hair, so was not sure if I should use this product, but it was so highly recommended that I tried it.

This stuff is great and the next day I actually got multiple compliments on how nice my hair looked. It truly does add volume, yet is not sticky. Major bonus. Would definitely recommend for sure.

Not a fan. This product left my hair crunchy and stiff. It did prevent frizz but it also prevented any movement in my hair at all. The smell is great! It does have a high alcohol content though which could be drying over time.

I’m a fan of most Got 2 Be products but this did not work for me. My mom loved it! My hair is medium thickness with a slight wave. Her hair is coarse with corkscrew curls. She said it worked really well with her curl cream.

It’s not an expensive product so I don’t fell bad about buying it. I’m just sad that I couldn’t make it work for me.

This product is good in theory, but not the best for providing results. I like that it comes in a spray bottle as I hate the feeling of traditional gel. Unfortunately, this product just does not provide the hold that my hair needs in order to get defined curls.

My hair ended up being quite frizzy instead. Additionally, I didn’t care for the smell of this product. I received this product through a cashback challenge.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect curly/wavy hair product for some time. Other products have left my head itchy, but I am happy to say that DevaCurl products have exceeded my expectations. The spray gel is super easy to use, although I use a diffuser instead of air drying, and I get so much curl! It does feel a little sticky while damp, but one it’s dry it feels super light and gives me awesome curls.

If you have thicker hair, I’d recommend using the regular gel instead of the spray. It’s about $22-23 a bottle, but it lasts me a month and is worth every penny. I don’t wash my hair every day, so for second day hair, you can re-wet (but don’t rinse out of hair) and diffuse again.

If you have curly or wavy hair, I highly recommend DevaCurl products in general. They have the right product for your tpe of hair.

I have fine, short, wavy hair and was looking for a DevaCurl styling product for use on dry hair to define and hold. This spray gel can be used on either wet or dry hair, but I found that using it on dry hair defeats the purpose because it goes on so wet.

It’s also extremely difficult to control where the spray goes. I have to completely depress the nozzle to get a true mist. My bathroom mirror, along with my arms, shoulders and neck are coated in this gel til it’s all said and done.

I thought I would try spraying it into my hands and applying that way, but it’s just too liquid and sticky. Not good. This one’s going back. I wish the Ulta store near me had a DevaCurl rep that could give knowledgeable guidance before I (and others) spend so much money on these products then end up returning them.

A styling product that does work for me and my purposes is DevaCurl’s Beautiful Mess pomade. I’ve written a separate review for that.

This product feels nourishing for my shoulder-length curly hair. In case it helps, this is my process: Wash hair (fine with wide sausage curls and ringlets) with very very mild products, Towel-squeeze (absolutely no rubbing!), Apply the product from the ends almost to the roots, Twist and settle the curls where I want them to generally fall, Let it dry as naturally as possible (in Winter this means in the car on the way to work with the heater on).

When its dry I gently squeeze the slightly stiff curls to release them into lovely soft shiny locks. If I touch my hair before it has finished drying naturally its more likely to have either a slight fuzz halo or fly-way bits.

I love this curl cream. It smells so good and a little product goes a long way. I love the Davroe range in general and the ethics behind them, but its great that the products are also top quality. I have fine, curly hair and this cream helps give my curls definition and shine.

The only addition that would make it perfect would be if it also helped to control frizz a bit better. I just use a serum for this when my hair is dry which works wonder. But I’ll definitely continue to reach for this curl cream over others I’ve tried.

Love this product. Defines my curls perfectly. I have long hair – below my shoulders. I put about 50c piece worth in my palm, rub over both hands the put it through my damp hair (with my head down) thoroughly.

When done, I scrunch my hair completely. I prefer to let it dry naturally but using the hair drier is ok too.

I’ve been using this stuff for years now and I love it! I used to consider my curls to be more 2c, and when I first tried LUS I got the wavy all-in-one. I was completely underwhelmed by it. I then tried the curly all-in-one, which was better but still not impressive.

On a lark I decided to try the kinky-coily all-in-one and wow! So much curl definition!!! The longer I’ve been using this (and less straightening of my hair) I am seeing now that’s I actually have 3a-3b curls.

The kinky-coily is definitely a heavier formula, but I have really thick, coarse hair that can handle it. It may be too heavy for someone with normal or fine hair, but I definitely recommend experimenting with it if you don’t actually have kinky-coily hair.

This stuff has been a game changer for me because it is so easy. I seriously have the easiest hair routine I’ve ever had and I get compliments every day on my curls. It definitely takes a little trial and error, and in my case some time for my hair to adjust to a new routine.

Now they have a gel, too, and I can’t wait to see if that helps with frizz this summer.

My whole life I had straight hair that I thought had just enough wave to be annoying, but not look good. As I got older, it seemed to get wavier. Then I learned how to take my care of my daughter’s curly hair, which has gone straight, but it gave me some ideas to try on my hair with good results.

I first bought the LUS Curly for her, and I used the last of hers on my hair and was shocked at how well it worked. When I took the quiz on the website for my own hair it seemed like I was between curly and wavy and it recommended the WAVY.

I bought a big liter on it, and it’s been okay. LUS products still work better on my hair than any other brand, but I really wish that I hadn’t gotten the WAVY formula. It said that it was good for increased volume, but I haven’t seen that result at all, and the curls that I was getting before are much looser and fall very flat through the course of the day.

It’s a good product, and I like the way it smells, and my results are still better than with drug store products, but I really wish I’d gotten the curly or at least a smaller bottle.

This product gave me the best hair ever! Unfortunately I think I am allergic to it. I have developed sores on my scalp and intense itching. I’m really really really hoping that it’s something else because this stuff is magic and I bought a ton of it! I’m experimenting now to see if it’s the cause.

Ugggh. I would recommend that folks try the unscented in the small bottle before investing. FYI, my reaction built over a couple of weeks use so it wasn’t immediately obvious. I stopped using it and let my scalp heal and am trying it again.

The itching is mild so I am kinda worried. Honestly I don’t know how I can live without this stuff! I have the best hair ever!! 😭😭😭.
