20 Best Curling Brush For Short Hair (2023 Updated)

Actually my wife Bernadine is the professional who uses your products and has been for many many years. My name may come on the register amount but Bernadine is the professional who uses all of your products.

Bernadine uses nothing but Sally’s products for her customers. Most recent a lady came in and requested she use a Brush iron on her hair for the next appointment and the product she got worked great.

The customer loved the results. Due to covid it is difficult to get more products in the store. Also, it is known by this writer that some products are very difficult to get because of the pandemic. Hope things change for the better.

I bought the same brush iron several times and wore them both out with usage which is why I purchased another one. Sally Beauty is the only place where I could find this particular curling brush. I like the clerks and their knowledge of all items in the store.

This one I bought on line and am happy that I found they still stock this item. No one else ever has this size that I need. Keep up the good work SallyBeauty.

After I found out what to call this item I was p!eased to purchase it. I had one years ago and loved it. This new one proves to be as great as the old one. Heats up fairly quickly. Did not have any tangle issues.

Although with med length hair tangles could be a problem as I recall. I have several sized wands for different curls.

I am the Queen of Hair appliances; I know how to use each of them very well. Unfortunately, the Helen of Troy 1/2 Inch Professional Brush Iron 1512 doe not grab my hair sufficiently enough to curl it.

My hair is long enough to curl, the iron just has no grabbing power. The only way it works is by either holding my hair down with a comb, placed between rows on the iron or, by my actually holding my hair on the barrel to keep it from popping up and out.

As you can imagine, this is a great way to burn your fingers, Am very dissatisfied with the product. if I had the original packaging, packing slip, etc. , I would definitely return it.

Disappointed in this product, the strips of black plastic teeth slide out of the plastic tip as the manufacturer added grooves within the plastic tip so every time I use it, the strips of teeth fall to the floor.

In addition, the manufacturer placed the on/off lever in the center of the handle so every time I hold onto the handle to style my hair, the lever slides to the off position. I had to put a piece of tape over the on/off button and unplug it to turn it off.

I’ve found that curling brushes in the 1/2 inch size are extremely difficult to find, have only found 2 manufacturers that make this size. I bought the Belson brand previous to this but had to return it as the metal barrel broke apart within the plastic handle after only using it for less than 1 week.

I searched everywhere for another 1/2 curling brush but found ‘none’ in this size in any stores so I ordered this Helen of Troy curling brush online. As this was the only 1/2″ size I could find online, I ordered it.

It’s not worth returning as I have more money in shipping and handling both ways than the cost of the brush. I don’t understand why there isn’t a manufacturer that can make a 1/2 inch size curling brush for women with short hair in the same features and qualities as the larger sizes.

I bought a Conair in the 3/4″ size at Target and it is extremely well constructed; however, it’s too big for my short hair.

I have naturally dry hair, so I have avoided using curling irons for the past several years. My hair is also naturally very straight, so if I want curl, I have to get a perm. I was tired of the tight curl look and having too wet it down every day to keep it from looking frizzy.

The curling iron in the stores were either too small or too large. This one seems to be just right. It gives me the curl I want and I’ve had several compliments when I use it. I am using a heat protector product to keep it from drying my hair out so much and it works great.

After curling which only takes about 15 minutes, all I have to do each morning is come it through. No fuss or muss. Love the temperature feature so that it doesn’t fry my hair.

I’ve had this curler for YEARS. It’s probably a decade old but recently have been having issues turning it on, but it was cheap so I never expected it to last 10 years. It was my reliable heating iron.

I never turned it up too hot and I always used a heat protectant so my hair is still in good shape even after curling it all the time.

The ceramic brush is fabulous. I’ve wanted one for such a long time my time and not disappoint. I had to watch a few YouTube videos to master how to use it correctly but once I had I was able to use it successfully.

There are different heat settings which I think is a great idea. The brush heated up very fast and was hot to touch even on the lowest setting. The heat glove is a godsend. The cord is long so no awkward movements trying to style your hair.

The brush gas an auto shut function after 75mins which is a great feature. What I loved most about the brush is that there is a button that retracts the bristles back in so that your is removed from the barrel effortlessly.

This is such a genius idea. No more trapped hair or damaged hair trying to detangle it. Great brush, that is easy to use. Definitely recommend.

This hot styling brush from Revamp is super cool! I love it so so much! Very nice stylish design, has a long enough cord, a heat protective glove. Very easy to use and create a hairstyle in minutes! It also heats very fast, no need to wait minutes.

it saves you time and I really glad. As I style my hair every morning it’s a time saver. With a few movements, I easily add volume to my roots and then create soft curls on my ends and voila! everyday hairstyle ready! I also love that it has a ceramic barrel that is infused with keratin, argan and coconut oils.

I have long thick hair which means I don’t wear it down very often as flat to my head isn’t a great look for my face shape. I was worried how this would work because my hair is very thick and have had it tangled in hair tools too many times to count.

I was surprised at how well this air brush worked, there is a release button that brings the hair grips in which meant no tangled hair! Winning! The brush itself is a good size, grips hair well and styles beautifully.

It leaves a lovely shine and gives my roots serious lift, no more flat head and with a little bit of hair spray it stays styled all day. It also comes with a glove which is super handy, no more burnt fingers!.

At first glance what I immediately noticed about the Ghd glide is that it has a super long cord. 2. 7 metres to be exact and a combination of shorter and longer spokes which are densly positioned to allow undemanding manipulation of various hair types.

Once I plugged it in and pressed the on/off button the sound indicator signals when the brush is ready to use. I then section my hair and glide the brush through my hair watching my hair be transformed from a frizzy mess to straightened, smoothed and shiny tresses.

To turn the Ghd glide off you simply press the same button that turns the device on and allow it to cool down. If you ever leave the house wondering or worrying about whether or not you’ve turned your Ghd glide off or not there is no need to worry as it will automatically turn itself off after 60 minutes of not being used.

The glide heats up to an optimum temperature of 185˚C. The Ghd glide has an ioniser that emits negative ions, which close the cuticle layer of the hair, locking in moisture and creating shine. The longer spokes on the brush aren’t heated and these are the ones the detangle any knots in the hair whilst the short spokes are the ones that straightened the hair.

You can touch the spokes without burning your hand or head. If you have thick, frizzy hair like mine then I wouldn’t recommend that you use this brush like a normal hair brush but rather section the hair and pull that section out straight then run the Ghd glide through that section like you would a traditional straightener.

If you like to wear your hair dead then the Ghd Glide isn’t for you. It does straightened the hair but I would suggest it more as a touch up device. So say you blow dry then straighten your hair one day and wake up the next day and it’s a bit kinky or wavy or you’ve had a ponytail in your hair and you want to remove the hair tie/scrunchie kink then the glide will certainly remove that.

Or if your looking for a quick tidy up before running out the door to drop the kids off to school then the glide is for you. However if you’re looking for that super sleek dead straight style then an actual hair straightener would get you a more sleek result.

Overall I would recommend the Ghd glide to anyone with long, thin, slightly wavy hair as it wouldn’t take too much effort or time to straightened. I am happy with the results I achieve using my Ghd glide as most of the time I simply tie my hair up so running the glide through a few sections to smooth my hair out before putting my hair up in a ponytail or bun works perfectly for me.

I have really thick hair – currently shoulder lenth – with a natural wave which is very pronounced the day after a wash. To minimise washing I used to tie it up, but now I use this little gem, and my hair stays sleeeeeeeek until my next wash.

I wash my hair 2x a week maximum, and now use this at least 1x a week. And sure, now I need to add heat resistant solutions when using this, but at least I ‘wear’ my hair now, and it’s not tied back for most of the week.

It is not inexpensive, and I did a lot of research, but as I have both the hairdryer and the straighteners I stayed with this brand. The straighteners have been usurped by the hot brush – the hot brush being easier and quicker for me to use.

(I used my straighterners less than 5 times in as many years) I do find I press the power button on the handle all the time, but thankfully never hard enough to switch the brush off – I think that I my only gripe.

When I was researching this brush, I really struggled to find reviews from people with frizzy but fairly thin hair, so I wanted to leave a review in case someone else is also struggling to find information.

I have thin but very fluffy hair which dries naturally as wavy. However, when I blow dry it, I am left with very frizzy fluff and no curling wand fully eliminates it. So I wanted this brush to be the middle step between my hair drying and hair curling so I am left with silky smooth hair that is pleasant to the touch and does not remind me of poodles.

And this brush really delivers. It takes 5 seconds on each side to get the job done. If you spend a little bit more time, you then get a nice straight ready-to go hairstyle. In fact, I haven’t bothered curling my hair since I got this brush because, for a day-to-day look, it is already perfect.

A quick warning though: once the brush is heated, it starts making these weird buzzing sounds but I spoke to the GHD customer team and they confirmed that it is how it should be, it’s the metal plates warming up or something.

Otherwise, the brush is pretty amazing and looks very solid. If only you could brush wet hair with it, it would be the best tool in the world but even as it is, I think it is awesome and worth it.

Have used a Denman ball-ended brush for years and gradually lost the bristles as it got older. Tried to buy a replacement but could not find one – they had been replaced by a “superior” design. Then I saw them in the hairdressers and was told they had been bought in Boots.

My hairdresser had also missed them for a long time as it is the design she prefers to use. Then I looked on Ebay, found this one and bought two.

Don’t care for this brush, and it kind of doesn’t fit with the Denman product group. When you think of a Denman, the association is with the flexible rubber base that allows the bristles to move with your hair and flex, instead of pulling hair out.

This one contrasts with that model, because it is just a solid piece of plastic. The bristles have to be pushed pretty hard to move at all, and definitely will not give while brushing hair. Also, the core is too narrow to do the kind of wrap-and-rotate move one would want with a curling brush.

I will probably end up tossing it, once I get over the sunk cost effect.

Good sized brush for blow-drying my fine mid-length hair. Venting helps drying power and gives a good lift. Pity it doesn’t have the fine bobbles on the end of each ‘bristle’ like its smaller models as this one is a little hard on my scalp.

Light and very comfortable to hold and work with.

The styling brush with its rotating brush head and heat makes styling so much easier. When using a thermal protectant on your hair and styling with this, I end up totally smooth and silky hair. This particular brush came with two different size of ones.

However, the sizing can be a little disillusioning as far as the results. Since my hair is short, I need an even smaller brush, because this one does not allow me to add any curls or waves. But it does give a good lift and a beautiful finish.

I just wish they would make this with an even smaller wand, then it would be absolutely perfect! If you have medium or longer hair, you will not be disappointed in any way. However, this does not dry your hair.

It is not made to do that. Your hair should be about half dry to use this or slightly more.

I have a bob and all the other hair dryer brushes had such big barrels. I liked the idea this had a large and small barrel and said it was good to use with a bob. The small barrel was perfect and I tried it on my dry hair and it gave me the bounce I want.

My hair dresser told me to wash my hair every 5-6 days and I use this sometimes if needed in between. It worked great with wet hair, and gave me a sleek shiny look to my hairstyle. I love that the barrel rotates and it is lightweight.

I am in my 70’s and if I can use it anybody can. You can teach an old dog new tricks. You can’t go wrong getting this product!.

Ive never been disappointed in Conair product. This one did not disappoint either. It heats up quickly and does exactly what it supposed to do by curling your hair. Easy to use and simpler for me rather than using a curling iron.

My sister in law, a former hair dresser, recommended this to me and I’ve used it a couple of times when I wake up and my hair has a bad pillow look. Seems to serve the purpose of getting hair in shape again.

Completely ordinary! Nothing “hot” specific about it — an okay brush of the $2. 49 drugstore variety, advertised as something more for a premium price. The name ‘Conair’ and the designation “hot” imply professional quality and something that is a “styling tool” , not an ordinary drugstore — or even Dollar Store! — hairbrush!.

This little brush is perfect for blow-drying short hair, every day or for travel. Conair has discontinued it (who knows why!) so I bought a few extra to keep on hand, just in case something happens to mine.

No worries, though–it is sturdy and has lasted several years and shows no signs of wearing out.

This is a great brush. The one I had was smaller around but this one is easier to use and makes styling easier and drying faster. I will buy another one.

I bought this is in the hopes that it would be a substitute for a blow dry, and while it’s not 100% the same, it does make my hair look sleek and is super quick to use. I have quite fine hair and while the brush attachment on this makes my hair more volumised than a straightener would, I find my hair has a bit of a flatter look as opposed to the bouncyness of a blow dry.

That being said, it’s a very versatile tool, and you can use it to fully curl or just flick up the ends. The only other complaint I have is it’s really easy to get your hair caught around the barrel, and a few times my hair has become really stuck in it.

Overall I do really like this, it’s made styling my hair in the morning a lot quicker and easier, and it provides a lot more volume than a straightener. The style lasts in my hair pretty well (although I really think that’s more to do with the products you’re using than anything), and although I have to touch up each day it doesn’t drop straight out.

It also feels like very good quality and heats up extremely quickly.

Love this tool. Great technology, gentle on hair strands overall. I have long, fine hair but a lot of it, natural color is dirty blonde but with my blonde highlights heating tools can get tangled easily.

I had to play with this a few times as the bristles are thick and won’t grip hair as quickly. Yet I love the results if you start at a top section, brush gently down the hair shaft and extend outward, pause at the bottom ends then roll upward like a curling iron.

With my natural wavy hair it added volume, shine, and polished my ends for a refined look. Excellent quality and lightweight, easy to manage, just perfect for traveling.

I have long hair extensions so I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this item as some customers said it was difficult to use on long hair due to tangling. I am so glad I bought this and wish I’d bought it sooner.

My extensions usually need a lot of styling to make them look their best and my own hair has a life of it’s own so getting the two textures to work together has previously been a bit of a challenge. I now have smooth hair with just the right amount of curl and swirl to the ends (as opposed to cripsy princessy curls you get with a curling wand).

It is important to make sure your hair is smooth and tangle free before using and make sure not to twist the hair when wrapping it around the wand (keep it flat) and the brush does it’s magic giving lovely wavy loose curls.

As to increasing volume at the root, I don’t get much lift but this is probably as I can’t get it close to my scalp because of my extension bonds and also my own natural hair is very fine. It has a rest/stand to keep it from burning your dressing table but I’ve found it can make the table hot so I use a heat proof mat underneath.

I bought a much cheaper hot brush before buying this one but all it did was blow my hair about and get hot whereas with a little practice and improved technique I now only pass over each section once and it is much less damaging.

I simply love it.

I have very long and fine hair with a natural wave that frizzes out when left to dry “as is”, so after letting my hair dry half way I use one squirt of a heat protectant serum in my hair than brush my hair in sections using the heat setting (which is quite gentle and nowhere near as forceful as a normal hair dryer).

This allows me to coax my natural wave out or dry to a smooth finish. This tool is both gentle on your hair and highly effective (and rather fool proof). Highly recommend.

I’ve had this product for about 6 years and I use it frequently. I purchased it long before the recent craze of air brushes because I love the 90s blow out style but I’ve never been able to do it with a regular dryer and brush.

This product changed my world and I couldn’t live without it now. Easy to use, good selection of temperatures and lightweight.

It’s not that I dislike this. it’s just not enough for my thick hair. I was looking for something that would help shorten my drying time (rough/brush dry to about 75-80% then finish with this) but it took sooooo loooong to finish.

I had to work in smaller sections and keep going over and over. I like the combination of bristles and the boar bristles really help give you a sleek finish. but in order to get out all the “poof” and most of the frizz from my hair, it could not be an everyday thing.

And even if I wanted to make my hair REALLY look good, I’d still have to finish with a curling iron. This would be fine for an everyday look, but just takes too long. I am confident this would be a good choice if you have thinner hair.

It was very easy to use. Also – I was worried that it would get tangled in my hair, but did not, so that was a plus. I will probably return this. FWIW, the girl at the store that I asked about it steered me away from the Revlon similar product I was going to purchase.

So – it’s probably better than the Revlon one, at least.

Helen of Troy Curling Iron is not what I expected. I’ve had curling irons in the past, needed a new one and was unable to find the type that has the plastic brush rather than a smooth curling surface so I went on line and found this one.

Since I wasn’t sure what I would be getting I didn’t want to spend too much money. This definitely is NOT the curling iron I had hoped for. I would like to return it but don’t want the hassle. Will have to continue to look.

I had high hopes for this product, but I was disappointed. The curling brush did grip my short hair properly, but I just didn’t see as much curl as I hoped. A curling brush is much easier on the scalp and fingers as the bristles provide a layer of protection, but it still needs to curl the hair.

I had my prior Conair Nano Tourmaline styling brush for well over five years and was very pleased with the performance. The only negative thing I could say about the old one was you could accidently cut the brush off depending how you were using it.

This can’t happy with the “improved” product. I hope to use this one until the teeth fall out and will again replace it with another. Because I could no longer find this product in the store I hesitantly ordered it on line and picked it up at Walmart.

In a world when nothing seems to go as promised I can say this did from ease of ordering to product quality. It was a positive and pleasant experience. Cudos!.

I saw an infomercial with a similar product, looked around the internet and found this Conair styling brush at an unbelievable price. I set it on medium, sectioned my hair as I usually do and was expecting to have to roll over my hair a few times to get it straight.

I was shocked when I brushed it through, my hair was straight with a nice flip on the end. It took me about 20 minutes to do my entire head. I have a basket full of hair care gadgets and this one is my new best friend.

I have very tight wavy, 2 steps below kinky hair, medium thickness. Works incredibly well for me. I ordered and picked up in the store.

The Infiniti Pro Conair Styling brush is by far the best styling tool for fine hair. It has an adjustable temperature so it does not damage my hair with too much heat. Whether you want to curl your hair or add volume to it, this styling brush does it very well.

It has helped me maintain the great hair cut I got from my stylist. When my other styling brush broke after five years I tried three other brands until I finally saw this on the Walmart web site. If you want a styling tool that makes it easy to maintain a lasting up-to-date style this it the one to buy.

I am in shock. I have tried nearly every type of hair styling devices imaginable, even that old rotating hairbrush used in conjunction with a traditional dryer. I always resorted back to a round brush and hair dryer.

Ive honestly gotten so good with blowouts over the years that I rarely needed to add in a flat iron finish. The past few years I stopped straightening and went back to my naturally curly 3a style, only busting out the blow dryer once or twice a year.

From wet to straight, shoulder length, would take me about an hour to blowout given its coarseness and density. This Revlon dryer kept popping up, and I finally decided to try it, fully expecting to return it.

I thought it might cut down my hair styling time by five or ten minutes, which isnt really worth the investment, in my opinion. I was so, so wrong. I wasnt ready for a wash, so I decided to just wet a single strand to see how it worked.

It came out nice, straight and shiny–great. But, a single strand proves little. Out of curiosity, I decided to try it on a dry strand of hair. My hair was stretched smooth at the roots from air drying in a tight wrap but pretty curly/wavy at the ends.

Normally if I attempted to use a blow dryer and round brush on my naturally air dried hair, I would expect to get considerable frizz, denting, and strange lumpy/rigid bits. I cant even use a flat iron on my air-dried hair for the same reasons.

It is really stubborn unless styled from wet. I picked a nice fat chunk of dry hair, because I didnt come to play. I applied the Revlon dryer, and in seconds, the strand went from poofy to sleek. I felt a strange sort of veneration after this.

I pulled out my phone to time myself. I still expected it would take me 20-30 minutes to get my entire head done, and that I might struggle with smoothing out the more unruly bits. This is the honest to God truth.

It took less than ten minutes. I stood petting my sleek hair, mouth agape, for another ten minutes, just to run out the timer, you.

SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS PRODUCT!! I have naturally curly hair and have spent thousands of dollars over years buying not only shampoos & conditioners, serums, oils, sprays, etc. to help stop frizz after straightening my hair, but also $$$ on hair dryers, brushes and straighteners.

Not to mention the HOURS upon hours over years spent painstakingly drying then straightening my hair only to find it frizzing up within hours, even under dry ambient conditions. I couldn’t believe using this magical Air Brush allows me to dry and COMPLETELY STRAIGHTEN my hair and in a few minutes – I’m talking like *6-7 MINUTES*.

And my straightener has been retired under the sink. I haven’t used it since I got this Air Brush. Granted I don’t quite get the volume I was expecting, but it’s more volume than I ended up with after using a straightener.

A tip for those with curly hair: once finished drying my hair, I take the front pieces that surround my face, place the dryer on top of the hair, slowly brush straight down, on my scalp from forehead to ends.

Frizz and baby hairs are STRAIGHT. REVLON: Only 2 reasons this is getting only 4 out of 5 stars: the cord isn’t long enough and the ‘cool’ setting isn’t so cool. If you make this exact product but with the cord longer and the ‘cool’ setting actually cool, I’ll buy a second unit and rate it again, next time with 5 stars.

I never knew how other women can maneuver both a brush and a hairdryer at the same time. Maybe it’s a simple task for most people, but it’s never been easy for me. That’s why I needed this product. I think it’s an ingenious invention! I have very fine hair that tangles easily, so brushing repeatedly while drying is a must to prevent it from drying up into a big tangle.

I will say, this device is quite bigger than expected and rather heavy however, once you get used to maneuvering it, it’s really very intuitive. Just hold out/onto sections of your hair and brush from top to bottom, repeatedly.

It helps to separate the hair in layers, too. This device gets the job done fairly quickly with minimal tangling. A final note of caution: The high mode gets surprisingly hot… I’d say it’s closer to the heat level of a hair straightener than a blow dryer.

So be very careful not to touch the brush part OR the upper handle with your fingers while it’s on high heat. Keep your grip on the lower handle. I am very satisfied with this product and plan to continue using it exclusively…goodbye, blow dryer!.

This hair tool is great when you learn how to use it correctly. I did lose some hair but that lessened after I got the hang of it. This is not a quick process. Takes some time to get the style you want.

My hair is about 5 inches past my shoulders. I believe this tool is actually for hair a little bit shorter than mine. Like I said though it works but takes practice and patience. Work with small sections of hair and then go from there.

I use this not as the main “dry my hair” dryer, but after that, when hair is just damp. It’s more a styler than a dryer. I’ve found it gives my fine hair much more volume and shape.

This product replaces a similar one I had, and works just as well. This model has an extra brush attachment, which doesn’t appeal to me as much. I’m happy I have a choice of two to use. It would be nice if the appliance was a little shorter, for ease in handling, but for now, this works for me.

Knocked off a star as takes a long time to straighten my hair. Then again I don’t use blow dryer or flat iron or any other source of heat on my hair whatsoever. I think this device is more for hair that’s been flat ironed on day 1 then day 2 use this? Takes many attempts for me to achieve a somewhat frizz-free look.

That’s on top of the burn small that happens when heating up, when using, and when cooling down. My air purifier device goes from 0. 02 to up to 50+! Regardless this brush must be healthier than using a flat iron daily! I don’t use the brush daily so I guess if you use it daily you’ll achieve that advert glossy hair look ;).

As I received no presents as a single parent of a child with special needs for Christmas 2020, this year I decided to treat myself to a present. I never get time to straighten my hair these days, so thought a heated hairbrush may be quicker.

I was so disappointed when the box arrived totally crushed. I contacted ghd to get a new box. Over the next week, different people requested information such as proof of purchase and photographs of the hologram.

I was then told to print off postage labels and to pay for insurance to return the brush. I have limited time to complete jobs out of the house and this was not my priority. I only wanted a new box. product is OK.

Bit of a disappointment to he honest.

TranslateShow in original languageDie 2 Bürstenaufsätze sind von der Größe perfekt und reichen aus. Wichtig war mir die Ausrollautomatik und 2 Geschwindigkeitsstufen damit sich die Haare nicht verfangen oder verbrennen.

Preis stimmt, was will man mehr. .

Im really pleased with the performance of the hot brush but i find that a few teath on the combs break off and after a while there are big gaps and then its difficult to use, i did send a message asking if i could buy a set of combs but had no reply.

If anybody has had the same problem id like to know if it was resolved. I have just purchased a new one so im not a moaner it is a problem Thank’s Midge.
