20 Best Cruelty Free Sunscreen For Face (2023 Updated)

Grove needs to clearly list packaging materials in ALL product descriptions. Now that I have the bottle in-hand and I know that it is plastic, I look back at the pictures and I can tell from the look of the bottle that it is plastic.

I initially thought the bottle might be brown glass. The plastic bottle IS recyclable which is good, and I can send the pump to Terracycle. I wish this was in an aluminum or glass bottle with the option for refills without the pump.

At this price point, I feel like that is a reasonable ask. With all that being said, I really do like the actual product inside the bottle! I have normal/sometimes dry skin that is acne-prone. I am in my mid-late twenties.

My skin color is very fair. The product is not tinted. It has an off-white/almost very light gray color out of the bottle. Shake the bottle well before applying. There’s an initial white cast but after rubbing it in, the white cast disappears on my skin.

Unfortunately I can’t attest to how it does on darker skin tones. It absorbs reasonably well. It does tend to leave my skin a bit shiny. I just add some powder foundation over top and it gets rid of the shine.

I have worn this under a full face of makeup without issue, but most days I just wear this product with a bit of concealer in strategic spots and the powder over top. I actually find that this product provides a good base for my concealer and powder to “stick” to.

During more humid months I find it moisturizes just fine. Now that it’s winter and my skin gets drier, I find myself putting on a pump of my regular moisturizer before I apply this. This product does have a scent to it.

It is not unpleasant – I personally like the scent. It is a bit hard to describe- maybe slightly floral. The scent lingers a bit on my face and hands after application. If you rub this product in too hard, it tends to “roll” off in little chunks.

If you apply this product near your eyes, do NOT rub your eyes! I have done this and it stings quite a bit. I feel like this is probably just typical of zinc sunscreens though. Overall, I do recommend this product based on my experience with it.

I use it almost daily. I would prefer more sustainable packaging so I will likely continue my search for a product that checks those boxes as well.

Why is it so hard to find a good mineral facial sunscreen?! In fairness, this one does have a lot going for it: it is light, absorbs quickly (not greasy), doesn’t leave a white cast (on fair skin), comes in a pump bottle, and doesn’t smell like sunscreen.

My biggest issue with this product, and the reason I won’t buy it again, is the smell. I am very sensitive to scent and I really wish companies would just leave products like this unscented! Instead, they have added a very strange, earthy kind of perfume to it.

It irritates my allergies and I end up with a runny nose or sneezing for the first hour or two after applying this. I also just don’t like the scent and it doesn’t dissipate quickly. The manufacturer basically ruined what could otherwise be a great product with this scent.

If you are sensitive to scents, I’d say this is a 2 star product; if you like scented products, it is probably 4 or 5 stars.

Ok so i have oil skin and i tried this on my face for the first time and i notice that it very lightweitgh and greaseless. This was and perfect for me because in the past i ahve tried other brabd and either i broke out or it was so heavy and greasy on my face.

It’s vegan so it doesn;t have all the checmical that using cause a person skin to break out and be irrtated. It’s has a light fragance which is good comapred to some other brands thats can have a strong scent thats can bother your er a lyes and sinus, I have not tried it with makeup but it does works well with out make up.

I tried it for a few days and notice my skin did not burn it gave me a glow look and had my skin feeling smooth. I definalty want to try over anlonger period of time. But so far what i have i like it.

It’s light a great mositurizer, light scent, advoid skin burns leabe skin smooth and soft. Great for all day wear.

I was initially drawn to this sunscreen because it came from Farmacy and all their products have been hits for me. Additionally it’s been difficult looking for a clean sunscreen so this was an added plus for me when this product launched.

Some positives- it doesn’t have the sunscreen smell which was great that I didn’t have to smell that all day. It also didn’t feel greasy or drying on my skin and didn’t break me out. Negatives- it pills if you apply makeup on top of it unless you apply your makeup veryyyy carefully, in which case it still pills but less than usual.

However if you take a big brush the pilling is removed easily. It also has a bit of a white cast if you were to wear it on its own. I mixed the Drunk Elephant bronzing drops with my moisturizer then applied this sunscreen on top and the bronzy glow I had a bit of a whiteish off purple tint? Overall it’s an okay sunscreen, I’ll continue to use it to finish off the bottle but would probably look for another sunscreen once this one runs out.

I like this sunscreen and the biosannce sunscreen. I got this because the biosannce has been out of stock for a while now. I am very pleased though. I am a darker/tan Filipina and I put on sunscreen religiously everyday.

I prefer to wear a mineral sunscreen and this one is a good pick. It pills a tiny bit but you can easily use a brush to brush it off. You have to rub all areas of ur face to ensure it’s rubbed into ur skin before it dries down to avoid pilling.

It sucks this is not water resistant although this sunscreen is one of the better mineral sunscreens Sephora has to offer in terms of no white cast plus it feels very comfortable and light weight. It’s pricey for a small bottle.

Why ??! I’m on a hunt for something like this, but better value and water resistant.

I have been a fan of this product for a while! It was super hydrating and it worked perfectly with the other skincare that I would use. I stopped using it for about a year because I developed a skin condition (not related to this product).

But I picked it back up, and I did notice that the formula was different. Its ingredients are still fantastic. However, the level of hydration is just not the same. This one is a different consistency, whereas the previous one used to be more of a cream.

This is more so like a paste. It does go on as if it got some hydration to it, but it dries down and it feels tightening? It does dry down my other products, and that’s on a hyaluronic acid serum, plus a hydrating moisturizer.

Even so, it gets the job done. 4 stars for ingredients, sun protection, but not a full 5 stars due to the formula change and cooperation with other skincare.

I have very dry, sensitive skin that gets congested easily and also sensory issues which combined make finding a daily sunscreen that I can tolerate very challenging. Chemical sunscreens irritate my skin, any fragrance makes me feel sick and gives me a headache, and sunscreens that sit really heavy on my skin bother me all day.

I have fairly pale skin but I don’t wear makeup so any sort of more severe white cast also caused a major problem. This sunscreen was recommended to me and I’m so glad that I tried it. It has a very slight white cast which fades enough to not cause an issue on my fair skin (though I know that there might be more mixed results for people with darker skin tones), for the first hour or so it does leave my skin feeling pretty oily but it doesn’t sit heavy on my skin And after the first little bit it sinks in and my skin looks glowy but not oily at all.

I wonder if in the summer as it gets pretty humid here if I might find the occlusiveness to be more of an issue but right now it’s very dry and cold here so I appreciate the extra moisture. It has absolutely no smell whatsoever which is amazing.

I wear it everyday and it has not contributed to any clogged pores or irritation for my skin. I’m so glad I found this product!!.

Skin Type – Black Skin (Medium to Dark w/Golden Undertones) – Oily/Acne Prone, Sometimes Sensitive. I’ve been enjoying this sunscreen so far! I’ve been in search of a mineral sunscreen to avoid chemicals on my acne prone skin.

Chemical sunscreens can cause further irritation or breakouts. BUT it’s impossible to find a mineral spf that doesn’t cause a white cast. This is the most minimal white cast I’ve gotten with a mineral spf.

It sits nicely on top of moisturizer and under makeup, no pilling! I find the Unseen sunscreen pills (chemical formula) and Black Girl Sunscreen is too occlusive for oily skin (chemical formula w/ shea butter).

This is the best I’ve found and the cast is manageable under makeup. If not wearing makeup the cast tends to fade after ~10-15 mins or I’ll warm up the sunscreen on my wrist a bit so the cast is minimal on face.

This one is perfect for daily use and doesn’t feel heavy/greasy. For the beach or pool, I typically prefer Black Girl Sunscreen. It’s water resistant up to 80 minutes and the salt/chlorine can help with the occlusive part (breaksdown the formula).

It took me years to find a Mineral SPF that I loved, as I can’t use chemical sunscreens because they make me sick. And to find a Mineral SPF that not only protected my skin, but didn’t feel greasy and worked in all weather – and a couple of years ago, I found Cocokind! I can wear this sunscreen in hot humid heat and in the frigid winter months and it works! In summer, yes, zinc sunscreens can feel a smidgen heavy on the skin, BUT this sunscreen is magic – as soon as it absorbs fully, it feels amazing, like your skin just drank a tall glass of water, but doesn’t feel heavy at all in the heat.

I love that I can put it on in the morning and even when I sweat it has staying power! I do re-apply in summertime usually just one additional time, but I don’t “have” to. If I forget, I still get amazing protection.

I also love that it’s non-nano pure zinc, not mixed with titanium dioxide, because TD makes my skin really itchy, so I’m relieved Cocokind made this formula so perfect. I can’t wait to get my next order, I am stocking up for summer! <3.

This product is very moisturizing and very gentle on the face. As an American I also like that it is Australian because I can have more confidence in the amount of UVA protection I am getting with the product.

I love using this product when I am concerned about high sun exposure or my face is very dry or irritated. I use Adapalene and have had a few cases of the Rentinoid ugliest, and this moisture my face so well and I believe it helped my skin recover faster.

It does not have hyaluronic avid in it for those who may be sensitive to that ingredient or can’t have it in too many of their products. When I find my skin to be irritated, this is my absolute favorite sunscreen to wear.

I don’t use it on my eyes because my eyes are very sensitive to most chemical/organic sunscreens sold in the US. This product can easily be used daily, I just personally do not prefer to use it as my everyday sunscreen because my skin has always been more on the oily side, and I have found that putting this on my face in the morning makes me very shiny — and that is even when I skip moisturer.

I think if you have drier, sensitive skin this would be an excellent everyday sunscreen. I do like this for exercising, pool, beach, or other scenarios where the shine is not a concern for me. Overall I give this product 5 stars because I think it’s a great product and for the price it’s even better!!!! Oh also, the stuff may be shiny for those of us with oily skin, but there is no white cast.

I’ve been struggling to find a sunscreen that would work well for me, I have oily skin, acne-prone and sensitive skin. I’m south east asian with tanned skin. I’ve only used this twice and have been reapplying throughout the day and it didn’t break me out! Usually I break out after a day of using a product but this sunscreen is excellent.

I would agree that it does get greasy, it doesn’t FEEL greasy for me but it does LOOK like it, which I don’t mind. The greasy feeling others get I think really depends on how oily you get, I used to be SUPER OILY.

I think using skincare products with niacinamide and exfoliating with a salicylic acid worked for me in combatting my oily skin, that way, the sunscreen didn’t feel oily for me. It’s about balancing and finding the right product to control oily skin.

This sunscreen blended well in my skin, didn’t leave me any whitecast, I tan easily so finding out that this worked for me was great. Overall, I love this sunscreen!.

I’m sort of shocked by how well reviewed this is! It feels heavy on the skin and looks REALLY greasy. No amount of rubbing in or waiting makes it less greasy-looking. It is incredibly difficult to put makeup on over this because of the texture, and it caused my powder to clump too.

It also seeped into my eyes after a few hours and irritated them badly. Because of the amazing reviews, I really have tried to give this a chance; I wore it several times and tried multiple ways of applying it/trying to cover the greasy appearance, but nothing helped.

In its favour, this is very reasonably priced. I didn’t notice any white cast (but I am also very pale). It does not have a strong smell, and it also did not irritate my skin at all or break me out. I think this is likely an excellent SPF, it’s just very cosmetically inelegant.

I sort of wonder whether the people who feel that this is not greasy-looking are actually applying enough.

I am taking 2 stars off for the issue I had which was pilling mostly. The formula balled right up and essentially chunked up as I rubbed it in. I always applied to a clean and dry face and it happened each time.

I tried different methods such as rubbing in, using my hand to swipe in one singular direction, applying and patting in. I tried increasing and decreasing the amount I put on at any single application and the problems always occurred.

I am taking off 1 star for the lack of response from Sun Bum. It’s been several weeks now since I sent a message wanting to express my concern and inquire as to whether there was maybe a bad batch or to see if there were other solutions for me.

I didn’t hear anything back unfortunately. I wanted to wait till I heard back to leave a review because I do believe that customer service is part of the good and bad of any product. The 2 stars I have given this product are for its lack of fragrance and irritants – this is important to me when using a sunscreen on my face and near my eyes, nostrils, and mouth.

And my favorite part of this formula and why I so desperately wanted it to work was it’s lightness, this consistency is one of the best and I’d be sold for life on this product if it continued to have this light and milky consistency but without the issues I experienced.

I enjoy the products for body that I have bought from Sun Bum. I have actually used the body SPF on my face and even though it is thick, I still love it. I just can’t really use the products that have fragrance on my face, they are not a problem for my body but I have skin issues on my face that preclude their use on my face.

I was looking for a sunscreen with a high SPF for everyday use, got this one because of the good reviews. Originally, I was going to get the bigger version of it, but I didn’t see it say if it was ok to use for face so I settled for this one instead.

The consistency is runny which I don’t mind, I find that it makes me use less when I combine it with my ordinary face lotion. No white overcast on my face, it does leave me looking a bit shiny but that’s fine, it’s something I can blot off with a napkin throughout the day.

I’m giving this 2 stars because I believe it is making my skin breakout like crazy, even on parts of my face that don’t break out usually. I do have acne prone skin so I was really hoping the ‘break out free ‘ label on the sunscreen would be a good match for me.

Not sure what ingredient is causing it, I’ve never had a reaction like that towards sunscreen. I’m repurposing the sunscreen to use directly over my body tattoos, since it’s only my face that is having a reaction to it.

I would recommend this to those who want to use it as body sunscreen, or if you don’t have sensitive skin.

I am an avid SPF wearer throughout the year and always apply factor 50 to my face. I have tried tens, if not hundreds, of facial SPFs and this one really does stand up to many others I’ve tried. The tube is a generous size, the packaging is cute but more importantly it offers broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

I love that the packaging lists that it is water resistant up to 80 minutes, as I find instructions on these products can often not give accurate information on when to reapply. The product is vegan, hypoallergenic and has no fragrance so it doesn’t break me out like some others do.

The formula has no oil and it doesn’t exacerbate my oily skin, which is a problem I often suffer with. The texture is a nice lightweight lotion and it applies easily and absorbs quickly. I’d highly recommend this product!.

I usually use supergoop’s unseen sunscreen but thought I’d branch out to other slightly more budget friendly options. Bought this on a whim after briefly looking at reviews that seemed great at first glance, but looking closer I see some people got this product free to ‘test’ so I’m not sure how honest these reviews really are.

First off, it’s not invisible that is a complete lie and that can either be a pro or a con depending on what you like. On the plus side it’s a sheer skin tinted sunscreen which can be great for a quick ‘no makeup’ look though the color seems to only be a match for lighter skin tones leaning on the more orangey side.

which that goes into the cons of it not being invisible because it’s not all inclusive to darker tones which is unfortunate. Anyway, I tried it before leaving for some quick errands today I didn’t even wash my face first it was just really hot outside and I was in a hurry.

It actually sat really nicely on my skin with just the sunscreen! I also like the smell despite it being a bit strong but it didn’t irritate my skin. It smells strongly of lavender when first applying then it fades.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend it to those who prefer non scented products along with sensitive skin(I could see this irritating skin with such a strong scent even though I was fine personally) Buuut as soon as I got home and showered, washed my face, and applied my normal skincare routine, I put the sunscreen on after my moisturizer and as I tried to rub it in it just started peeling and getting all blotchy!! It looked so bad I was thankfully able to save it somewhat before applying my makeup.

That really just annoyed me because it goes back to it supposedly being ‘invisible’ and supergoop never gives me this problem! I also find that it looks a little matte and oxidizes throughout the day.

I want to give this product another chance but after what happened I’m not sure if I will. If it works for other people that’s great, I just don’t like the false advertising and how it’s worked for me so far.

I am passionate about skincare and while I wear sunscreen year-round, I am especially diligent to apply it this time of year. After all, the best skincare products in the world are of little value without avid sun protection.

I recently was fortunate enough to receive and try out Tula’s new Protect + Glow Daily Sunscreen Gel-Broad Spectrum SPF 30. Now, I never leave the house (or even sit in front of a large window) without putting this on first.

There are so many reasons I love it, but for the sake of brevity I’ll narrow it down to my top reasons. Tula Glow Daily Sunscreen has a gel-like texture that is ultra smooth and lightweight. I can wear it alone or under my makeup without any texture issues.

My skin remains calm and moisturized without an oily feel or appearance. If I wear makeup over it, my makeup stays set all day. Best of all, instead of a white cast, this Tula sunscreen adds a light glow that I feel makes me look more youthful and awake.

I can expect any standard sunscreen to protect me from the damaging effects of the sun’s rays. However, Tula goes above and beyond, also ensuring that their product defies the potential harmful effects of both pollution and blue light.

These are things I can’t help but encounter on a daily basis so I am thankful to have sunscreen that’s working overtime in several aspects. Lastly, I feel good about using a reef-safe product. Now, this isn’t a daily issue for me, however when I am swimming in the ocean I will always choose a sunscreen that doesn’t contribute to the bleaching of coral reefs.

Since Tula Daily Glow Sunscreen doesn’t contain oxybenzone or octinoxate, I can wear it freely without having to compromise wearing sun protection for causing undue harm to our oceans. A great aspect of Tula Daily Glow Sunscreen is that it claims to strengthen the skin barrier and even-out skin tone.

I haven’t been using this product long enough to see that take place yet, but I am excited at the prospect. Overall, I see it as a superior sunscreen to others on the market, as it has many benefits.

I love the way it looks and feels once applied and plan to consistently use Tula Daily Glow Sunscreen Gel-Broad Spectrum SPF 30.

Sunscreen is a staple in my skincare routine, as a pale person living in SoCal I burn within 15 minutes of stepping outside. Chemical, mineral, natural, spray-on, lotion, stick; I’ve tried all the formulas and variations.

This is the first product from Tula that I have tried, and it won’t be my last. Even though I need to wear sunscreen on a day out I always worry about my skin after, 75% of the time my face either breaks out or I still manage to get sunburned.

This sunscreen is formulated without parabens, sulfates, silicon, and fragrance, all things that I have found may have been the cause of my post-sunscreen breakouts. While I do love that classic sunblock smell, not too sure I want that absorbed into my skin.

Even though it’s fragrance-free I find it still has a scent, like a light spiced- pineapple smell. It has pineapple, papaya, ginger formulated into it, so it’s nice knowing that the fragrance is natural.

There is a slightly weird texture to the sunscreen, it’s almost chunky as you can see in the picture. It easily smooths out though once applied, and the shimmer creates a healthy glow. To give this product an authentic review I wanted to wear it a few times and see how it performed.

So far, I have not gotten burned at all while wearing this sunscreen, and I have not broken out either. It absorbs into the skin so nicely, it doesn’t feel greasy or leave a chemically matte finish; my skin just feels like skin.

My face gets a little pink after applying it, but that’s most likely just from rubbing it into my face. It doesn’t leave a white cast which is lovely too. This sunscreen lives in my purse now, I take it everywhere.

Five stars!.

This is not your normal sunscreen – it is a glowy face gel that not only provides SPF but also protects from pollution and blue light (making it a must have for indoors and outdoors). It doesn’t clog pores, is a non-greasy gel making it feel light and cool on the skin, it wears well under makeup or on its own and it gives your skin the dreamiest glow.

This isn’t another face sunscreen with a highlighter, it is packed with probiotics to lock in moisture and protect the skin barriers, has papaya and pineapple to promote even skin tone and ginger root to protect against blue light (so essential while we are inside working from home or maybe watching a little extra TV with the kids!).

It moisturizes when it needs to and just really evens out your skin. I will mention that its not overly moisturizing either because I have problems with that too. I use my regular face cream let that dry and sink in and then apply the sunscreen over my moisturizer.

It also helps to reduce redness in my skin and even out my skin tone. I noticed this within a few days of using the product! My skin was less red and old scarring I had on my skin was slowly starting to minimize.

It’s one of the only products that I’ve seen that works and so quickly at that! Overall, my skin feels so smooth and very supple. I feel hydrated, but not overly hydrated. This product helps my skin to know what I need throughout the day and reacts to the changing climates.

This is my first mineral sunscreen and I tried it because it was listed as one of the best ones to try for sensitive skin. I have been using it a few months now I genuininely like it, I was worried at first because I know mineral sunscreen can be really tricky.

Some reviews have complained about pilling and I haven’t noticed that at all. When I apply the sunscreen, I shake it vigorously, place a small dollop (about 1/2 tbsp), rub it a little between my fingers, let my fingers warm it up a little bit, dot it around my face, and then I start to spread it evenly.

I do notice that it initially feels a little granular at first, but as I gently spread it around my face the white cast and granularity go away. Once it’s set in, my skin does have a soft satin-y feel (similar to the feeling when I use a silicone based primer for my make up) and then after a minute or so my skin feels regular.

So I’m not sure if people are just not rubbing it in enough or letting it warm up (I have read from dermatologists that warming up mineral sunscreens helps a lot with the application). I also wash my face and apply a light moisturizer before I apply the sunscreen.

Basically in my experience it takes a smidge more time to apply the sunscreen, but I would say overall positive. My skin doesn’t feel like i’m wearing a layer of sunscreen which is really nice.

I read another review about this product caking up. This product does NOT cake up unless you are putting over a product that would cause that when the two are combined. I have used my first entire tube and coming back for more.

It was a little thick when I first opened the bottle, but after that first use, simply rub on a THIN layer after other serums have completely dried. Use it on your neck as well to prevent aging. Any 70 spf sunscreen would be thick and look white if you use too much, but the trick with this one is to glide a thin layer over the skin, spreading it out thinly and evenly.

I tap it with my fingers too, and once it dries after about 20 seconds, it’s great for helping my foundation to get the dewy look and stay put. Tip: I also apply the foundation with a desk fan blowing on my face to help “set” the creams so they last longer and do not run off.

Perfect sun protection.

When I first applied this on my forearm I was pleasantly surprised. It is a lightweight, watery lotion-like formula as it says on the packaging. HOWEVER, it pills heavily not only on my face (the face version has almost the same ingredients and Youtubers have suggested just buying the body version to get more ml for the buck) but also on my body, which is what it is intended for.

I wish I had listened to previous reviews instead of the influencers. The latter doesn’t test it out long enough or use enough to see the pilling effect, especially if they are gifted the item and have 50 other products waiting to be tested.

If you just make one swipe, fine. If you use it all over your shoulders and arms, just one thin layer, you will be covered in stringy white “pills. ” I have tried it numerous times with NO OTHER product underneath.

On clean, dry skin, it pills against itself, which renders it unusable since if it is pilling, it is basically rubbing itself off and you won’t get adequate sun protection. Other than the pilling, I’ve noticed that my palms get extremely dry and grey whitish after application each time.

I have light skin tone. It also left white streaks on the areas where I haven’t rubbed it in as intensively (I couldn’t, because it’s already pilling. ) Don’t purchase this, seriously. I would probably use it on my feet and let it dry on its own just to use it up.

I don’t even want to use my hands to rub it in because I’d have to wash my hands afterwards to get rid of the dry, streaky, pilling look and feeling. It’s impossible to layer and reapply, not just this product itself, but other good sunscreens cannot be layered on top of it.

You’d have to shower and get rid of the pill balls first!.

My last purchase of several tubes of this sunscreen was over a year ago. That batch was a thicker texture. It went on leaving a white cast even though it was tinted and I am very fair. I didn’t mind this though.

It wasn’t hugely significant. I love the idea of using a zinc based sunscreen because it’s actually good for your skin. Recently I just bought three new tubes to stock up for the summer. The first one I opened came out in an oily blob when I first squirted it.

You could see that oils had separated from the solids. I then tried kneading the tube and found I could actually shake it and hear the stuff inside, so really a very different texture than the previous order I had which was very thick.

After mixing it like this, and using it a few times, it seems to have less oil separation but it is definitely oilier. On the plus side, it does goes on very smoothly, no white cast at all, and is actually much nicer than the thick version, as long as this is how it’s meant to be.

I don’t know if the oiliness might be a problem for someone with oily skin. So far, I would still recommend it but I’m waiting to see if the other tubes are also like this or whether in fact this one has in fact gone ‘bad’ and shouldn’t be this texture at all.

I think I’ve tried 90% of mineral tinted sunscreens available in Canada. so if you are looking for one, I hope this helps you: Pros: Tint is great for light skins. I usually have a hard time finding a good tint, as they are usually too dark or too orange.

This won’t be a problem if you have light skin. Non-irritating. I’ve been using prescription topical medication and it’s made me skin extra sensitive. This is not irritating at all. it has a light scent, which I usually stay away from, but it’s not bothersome.

Price is good for 20% zinc. Cons: This product just sits on your face, it doesn’t get absorbed (ever), leaving you with streaks all over, and it transfer (a lot). If you put just a little bit, it will be fine, but the recommend amount to get the whole SPF is 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon for face and neck.

It just doesn’t work well. It’s very oily/greasy/shiny, if you have oily skin, I would probably stay way. Since I can’t return it, I’ll probably try it with powder sunscreen, to see if sets a bit, but if you have to add another product to make it work, price is no longer that attractive.

I desperately wanted to like this sunscreen. I have been on the hunt for a mineral sunscreen with 20% zinc that was safe for sensitive skin, was free from irritants, and wouldn’t completely dry out my eczema-prone skin but also stay on my face without sweating off in the sun.

I have been using Biossance’s mineral sunscreen for reference. Going on, the sunscreen was a lot “drier” and spread more like a sunscreen than the Biossance (which spreads more like a traditional moisturizer).

It also dried down much more than the Biossance, which had me believing this would be a more ideal product for daytime sweating. However, within two days of wearing this, my skin exploded with acne. I NEVER break out unless there’s a combo of factors – sweating, on my period, dirty makeup sponges, touching my face during the day etc.

And even then, it’s never more than 1 or 2 zits. This breakout was ALL over my face indicating it was a product reaction. I couldn’t believe it. It took another day for me to realize it was the sunscreen because I seriously never have an issue with products causing a breakout – I never check for oil-free or non-comedogenic products because my skin is so dry and generally loves oils and thick moisturizing ingredients.

However, upon looking up the ingredients, the coconut alkanes came up as highly comedogenic which makes sense since coconut oil will break me out if I use it on my face. I understand I could be really sensitive to this particular ingredient, but since I’ve never broken out like this before in my LIFE, I have to believe there’s some sort of ingredient interaction happening, perhaps with one of my other products that has some lower level of comedogenic ingredients that together with the coconut alkanes exploded my face.

Unfortunately, because this sunscreen was the thing that changed my skin chemistry and broke me out, it’s the one that goes.

I received this from FAB for free in exchange for an honest review. I have to say I am impressed with this product! I have sensitive, dry, rosacea-prone skin, and this sunscreen did not irritate my skin at all.

There are no fragrant ingredients, but there is a super light, almost undetectable smell that I enjoyed. I have pretty fair skin (on the lighter side of Fitzpatrick Type II), and there was a slight white cast visible on me at first.

It dissipated quickly after working the product in for a few seconds, though. I’m fairly confident it would leave a cast on darker skin tones. It spreads across the skin nicely and has calming, hydrating, and moisturizing ingredients.

It isn’t one of those sunscreens that disappears as soon as you apply it, but I like knowing I have sun protection on my face. It doesn’t feel heavy or stifling under makeup. As mentioned before, you do have to work it in a little bit.

I wish it was higher than SPF 30. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of product in the tube. I use A LOT of sunscreen, and the product lasted a lot longer (almost 2 months) than I thought it would.

It is a little on the pricey side in my opinion, but I value a good mineral sunscreen. Hopefully they formulate an SPF 50+ that has less of a cast!.

*I received this product in exchange for an honest review* I have brown skin and this left minimal white cast on me. For my melanated folks y’all know about the purple hue a lot of mineral sunscreens provide on our skin, this one is giving lavender.

It definitely is not transparent but I would feel comfortable being out in public with it and definitely under makeup. There is a noticeable white line around my hairline and in comparison to my neck my face looks a shade lighter.

It is hard to find a mineral sunscreen with a high level of zinc oxide that doesn’t leave some kind of white cast and for what this product is I think it did a pretty good job. It has a thick consistency and takes a minute to rub in but after I worked it in it was fine.

The feel on my skin was noticeable but not uncomfortable and mask like. That being said I only used about two pumps for my face. If you’re a two finger lengths girly you’ll put in some work for sure.

For people with very deep skin tones, if it’s giving Nyma Tang, it will for sure leave some kind of a cast but probably not the harsh one we’re used to.

I was really hoping to love this! The ingredient list is optimized for sensitive, dry skin and lacks silicones, which is priority for me. The packaging is cute and easy to keep clean with the dry touch finish of the tube.

Although the sunscreen is effective, I had to be *incredibly* gentle to massage the product into my skin and was still only able to prevent pilling over about 80% of my face, which means for me this is unwearable either with or without makeup on appearance alone.

The texture and heaviness of the product was also intolerable to wear on either face or body, and I returned the product to Target, where I had purchased it. I hope that Bare Republic continues their use of gentle ingredients in a future reformulation that is easier to apply and more comfortable to wear.

The white cast wasn’t a big deal for my fair skin and the scent is relatively subtle, on par with Neutrogena’s Dry Touch Sunscreens. There was a stronger white cast than with most of the prestige mineral sunscreens that I’ve tried.

Historically, I’ve used the Drunk Elephant sunscreen, but was hoping for something more affordable in this purchase. If you need a mineral sunscreen at this pricepoint, I’m planning on trying the Hello Bello Mineral Sunscreen next, which is known for being water resistant, reef-friendly, and silicone free, though I’ve heard it is more fragranced.

This is by far the best sunscreen out there! There’s a lot of negative reviews here but there really shouldn’t! If applied properly, there’s no white cast or pilling. You just need to apply quickly, and not over rub (which you shouldn’t be doing anyways as it can damage your skin).

If you don’t apply quickly or if you rub over an area for too long, then you’ll experience that pilling and white cast. I rub about a peanut-sized amount on the tip of my fingers. Then I apply it all over my face as quick as I can.

Make sure to do it quickly and focus on the areas where you can see the white (should take about 10 seconds). Then let your skin absorb it (2-3 minutes should be enough) before you go back to apply some more or top it off with any additional products.

I was almost going to return this because the first few times I used it I experienced a lot of pilling on certain areas of the face. But I also noticed that on the areas it didn’t pill, I had the best of both worlds — gentle zinc SPF protection and a bit of radiance.

I also really liked how makeup applies so smoothly over this sunscreen, because some zinc sunscreens can leave a chalky feel that makes foundation look too pale. Not so with this one! Anyway, because the instructions on the product recommend layering it over a moisturizer, and because it’s the dead of winter and I have drier skin, I needed to figure out what would work well with this.

Turns out that a few drops of a face oil applied first work out great! No pilling at all, not even a tiny bit. I’m so pleased. Previously I was using an oil-based moisturizer that didn’t even have silicones in it, but for whatever reason the Tatcha didn’t agree with it.

If you like face oils, I highly recommend using one underneath this SPF.

I have to say that I LOVE this sunscreen. I was sceptical of the price, but I love Tatcha products so I thought I would give it a try. I usually use it under make up and I find that it works great as a primer and really does smooth out my pores.

The best thing about it is that even without makeup it really does give a blurring effect. I purchased this because I was looking for a stronger SPF for under my makeup that wouldn’t clog my pores and didnt feel too thick or cakey, but the fact that it also blurs and smooths my pores is what really sold me on this product.

Other brands have made me breakout but I have not had that issue with this product and have been using it for about 4 months now. The only reason for my 4 star review is that I really think the bottle should be a bit bigger.

A little does not go a long way (in my opinion) so I think a larger bottle or value size would be more convenient, especially since this product is always sold out so its annoying to run out quickly and not be able to restock.

Wanted to love this but it’s literally unusable. This SPF pilled worse than anything I’ve EVER tried in my life. Not only is this annoying and strange to look at, but it also means you’re not getting the full protection of the SPF!! SPF35 is not that high to begin with so definitely don’t use this without some other form of sun protection.

I’ve read that the pilling can happen if you use water-based products underneath and that oil-based products would combine with it better – tried that as well and it made a slight difference but there is was still noticeable pilling.

And as soon as I tried to layer on any makeup, we were back to square one with the whole thing pilling right back off. 2 stars are only because if you do manage to get it on and get it to stay by some miracle, it does definitely fill and blur pores, but words out on whether or not that’s really the best thing for your skin.

A more detailed review, if you’re into that sort of thing: Texture: This sunscreen’s texture is light in comparison to most mineral sunscreens, though not as light as other chemical or Japanese sunscreens I have tried.

I enjoy the velvety texture as I rub the product in. I have oily/combo skin, and this doesn’t feel heavy on my face. It does feel slightly greasy to me even hours after applying, but not enough to bother me, and if your skin is more dry or if you’re used to wearing foundation or tinted moisturizer, you may not think it’s greasy.

Color: The pigment is light peach in color, and it blends well on my very fair skin, giving me just a touch of extra color, which I like. I don’t wear foundation, so I like the sheer coverage of this product – I can still see my freckles after application.

One thing I dislike is if I apply a second coat of sunscreen, the color becomes slightly too orange for me. But I have VERY fair skin, and I think most people with light skin will find that this product blends seamlessly with their skin tone.

Price: The price is a bit steep, but I figure if you bought a separate non-tinted mineral sunscreen and then a quality tinted moisturizer to wear over it, those two products together would cost about the same amount as this two-in-one Colorscience product.

I have sensitive skin, and after using this product I noticed little bumps appear on my cheeks, which I’ve never experienced before. But I won’t knock this product for that, because with sensitive skin you never know what might trigger irritation, and this product will be fine for many people.

Verdict: For people who are looking for a lightweight mineral sunscreen with a light, sheer tint, this is a great product – a high-protection sunscreen and tinted moisturizer all in one cute little bottle.

Try it out, you might end up loving it! For myself, I do enjoy this product, but I find prefer ultra-lightweight Japanese sunscreens that look and feel like I’m wearing nothing, meaning I’m much more likely to reapply them throughout the day for added protection.

(As a side-note, don’t believe the fear-mongering surrounding chemical sunscreens – they are perfectly safe. But if you still prefer to use a mineral sunscreen, give this one a try!).

I am really disappointed with this product. I want to love it, especially considering that it contains antioxidants, it’s reef safe, and has SPF 50. Unfortunately it looks absolutely hideous on my skin type.

Not only does it look blotchy around my dry patches, it makes my acne and fine lines noticeably worse. I thought this was a sheer mineral sunscreen, but I was mistaken it is tinted. Even though it states on the packaging that it “applied clear” which is false.

I dislike the “universal” tint because it doesn’t match my fair complexion. I seriously hate how this appears like I’m wearing makeup and looks significantly textured the more I reapply it. I wish I could attached a picture because it looks extremely unattractive.

I really wish a sheer sunscreen was offered that contained no tint because I haven’t found another mineral SPF on the market with as many benefits as this one. I need an SPF that isn’t expensive like the SPF for rosacea.

I’d much rather have red cheeks with a clear SPF instead of wearing a tinted SPF that isn’t attractive.

I love this sunscreen! I’ve searched high and low for a mineral sunscreen that didn’t leave a white cast, remain tacky, and make my skin feel like it was suffocating. Finally I’ve found that product.

This goes on like a dream, easy to blend and while it is tacky initially it dries down within 15-20 minutes. It starts out a peachy color but ends up looking like your natural skin. I’m a light/medium olive skin tone and it works perfect for me.

I can see where it might not work for darker skin though as it does look slightly lighter than my skin but not drastically. I don’t wear foundation so don’t know how it preforms under foundation but on it’s own it is great.

I apply my serums and moisturizer allowing them to completely absorb before applying sunscreen and have not had any problems with pilling. It does not irritate my eyes at all. I can’t say enough good things about the Face Shield Classic.

I’ve loved every Sun Bum product that I’ve tried, and needed a new facial SPF when I decided to try this. I usually strongly dislike anything glowy or illuminating, but this is a very subtle and super fine-grained glow that looks amazing and very natural.

It also feels really light on the skin and blends wonderfully. No cast or pilling or waiting for the product to sink in. However, it is watery, so you have to be careful if you don’t have the bottle tipped correctly, otherwise you’ll have droplets and wasted product everywhere.

This was a little bit annoying to me at first, but it’s becoming easier to deal with as I’ve used more of the product out of the container. I was also initially bummed about the lack of fragrance, as I love their signature scent.

However, I’ve come to appreciate this, as fragrance can be irritating for some, and this product is good enough that I’m actually glad they made it more inclusive. There is a slight tinting to it which helps even out my skin tone, something I also appreciate because I don’t wear makeup – something that may not work for darker complexions or those that do layer with makeup.

All in all, great price point and a worthy addition to your SPF collection.

Personally I wanted to find something similar to supergoop’s glow screen. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this in Ulta. Firstly it was $15. 99 which is perfect because who wants to pay hella coins for spf girl cos not me.

I have been suffering a weird bout of acne on my cheeks so I was apprehensive when it came to even trying anything new in my skincare but being in my mid to late 20s I knew I needed some asap. As I go to the gym I wanted that natural cute glow pre workout so I thought this would be good.

I have to say I do like this a lot it’s become a regular in my skin care regime, the consistency is a little runny but it has some pearlescent drops in it (not shimmer). When you rub it into your face is does sink in beautifully.

The only thing I don’t like is the packaging, the twist lid thing, ugh it’s so messy because it’s kinda runny it has it going everywhere. But the product itself is pretty great so I would check it out if you like Glow screen!.

This sunscreen is honestly amazing for so many reasons. I have extremely dry skin and this sunscreen does not dry my skin out at all (which I’ve had a hard time finding one that isn’t super expensive).

It is very runny and it feels very thin in the skin. The glow is gives is amazing. It’s not a glitter glow, it looks so natural. This wears amazing under my makeup as well. The only thing that I have the smallest issue with is that this will give your face a hint of color and with my pasty, pale skin, you can tell unless I blend it really well on my neck.

But this is not a big enough issue to stop using this sunscreen. This sunscreen and the L’Oréal true match tinted serum is a match made it heaven if you like light weight skin when wearing makeup also.

Decided to buy this one after not being happy with my “clear-zinc” formulas that somehow still manage to leave me looking like Casper the Ghost ( I’m not even fair-complected!). I am 54 yrs old and have already had basal cell skin cancer removed 2 times from the same spot about 15 yrs ago.

Now I am more likely to get it again so tanning on my face it put of the question let alone burning. I was hesitant and shocked when I first used this – it has the consistency of soup! Okay maybe slightly thicker but not by much! Watch out it is SUPER THIN! I found the best way to apply this is by pouring a little into palm of my hand and then dabbing on my face and rubbing in.

My face is left virtually with remnants of NOTHING. doesn’t appear as oily sunscreen on my face at all. The product absorbs incredibly well into my face. Next – protection factor – which I’ve tested multiple times before writing this review and – I love! In fact, yesterday in near 100 degree with sunshine at the pool – I forgot a visor.

I only applied sunscreen before leaving and sat out for a solid 3 hrs peak time (12-3pm). When I came home I thought I had burnt – face looked red I was like – not going to be a great review from me – but I think it was just the heat! After my shower.

I came to the reviews in desperation to hopefully find some answers as to why this highly rated product wrecked my skin for over half a year. I’ve never had skin issues except for the occasional dry patch during winter time, but five doctor visits and three steroids later to treat the intense itchiness, redness, flakiness, and wrinkles from dry skin (!), I’m reflecting on how this might have started.

Around January 2022, I tried two new products for myself: Skinfix face wash and Biossance’s sheer mineral sunscreen. I had returned the Skinfix face wash thinking that was the culprit – the irony here is that the Sephora employee said it was a “bad batch” and that there had been some sort of recall.

I continued using the Biossance sunscreen because I always use SPF outside and I liked that it was a mineral sunscreen, left absolutely no white cast or pilling, and made my skin glow. However, I’ve noticed that when I go out and use this sunscreen, I have super itchy rashes and hives appearing on my face and/or neck.

The redness and irritation can last for days, or on and off for months as I have been dealing with this. I’ve been making sure I’m hydrated and moisturized, so I’ve had my normal skin for almost a week now – until today.

I used the Biossance SPF again and within 20 minutes of being outside, I began to feel the tingle on my jawline. It was too late and now I’m sure it’s been this product this whole time. The dermatologist had dismissed the SPF initially as a culprit, but seeing these reviews.

yikes. I have literally lost sleep by using this product because I have been clawing at my face and neck from the intense irritation. I am disappointed I stocked up on this product and do not feel right to give it away to someone in case they have the same reaction.

Will need to toss in trash.

One of the most easy to spread mineral sunscreens I’ve ever tried with a good amount of ‘playtime’ to work into skin before it sets/becomes a struggle to move around. Whilst it certainly leaves quite a residue on hands that you’ll probably want to wash off after application, I don’t feel it sitting on my face like you often can with mineral sunscreens so fairly lightweight in terms of feel.

As someone with fairly picky skin, another plus is that it didn’t clog my pores or break me out at all. Despite this however, it can appear very greasy on skin and this is coming from someone with dry skin.

This is odd given the ‘lightweight’ feel, but it doesn’t seem to dissipate or soak in throughout the day. In fact, I’d argue that coupled with your own natural sweat it looks worse as time goes on which makes re-application less than desirable.

Definitely one for the cooler/low UV index days and probably best avoided in the heat. Even for me, two finger-lengths of the product (which is likely below the recommended amount) leaves me looking a little more sweaty than dewy.

Finally, I’m a fitzpatrick type II and there’s a definite tone-up effect in terms of the mineral cast. This does fade slightly after 15 minutes or so but I definitely wouldn’t call this sheer for a majority of skin tones.

I almost gave 4 stars as the actual texture compared to other mineral sunscreens is great. but on reflection it’s far from perfect and not a very affordable option. The hunt for a holy grail sunscreen continues, but it’s good to have this option available as a back-up.

Let me start by saying DO NOT use this if you have dark skin. I’m the palest person I know and you can see this on my skin. I think that’s just the nature of zinc oxide sunscreens but I’m not totally sure.

I used to really like this and I had bought it because of Hyram like a lot of other people. One of my biggest concerns with this sunscreen is the fact that it has Isostearic Acid which is a well known acne causer but I didn’t realize this until my dermatologist pointed it out and it was too late to return this.

I have not noticed any breakouts yet that I can contribute to this sunscreen but just know it’s a possibility because of that ingredients, Cosdna actually ranks it as a 5 in the acne category. My other quarrel with this sunscreen is just the way it applies.

This is not moisturizing even though it might seem like it when you first put it on. It dries QUICK and will not blend into the skin properly if you let it dry before it’s fully rubbed in and you’ll also have white streaks on your face.

This also dries down sticky and will have a bunch of hairs and dust stick to your face. I’ve also found that throughout the day at work, I’ll have white flakes pilling and flaking off on my chin and it’s very noticeable.

As for actual sun protection, I’ve never actually used this in a setting where I would get sunburnt, I use this for daily wear so I’m not sure how well it protects against the sun yet. Since I can’t return this sunscreen I will be finishing it but I am not happy with it and will not be repurchasing.

Let the sunscreen hunt continue.

Lots of pros to this product in my opinion. Nice purse size – I like to always have some on hand in the summer because sometimes you end up in a situation where you need it. No overwhelming scent. High SPF rating.

But I am also more keen to the cruelty-free and reef friendly aspects of the product. These are things that I think about more now and make it a priority when I am shopping. Also very lightweight which is important to me because I really hate caking on a thick sunscreen and the kids do not like it either.

The name of this product cracks me up, but it’s modern and appeals to the younger crowd. This is a great sunscreen for your face. The strength is excellent, and it feels good on the skin. I feel protected and not greasy with it on.

I like using jojoba oil and argan oil, so it was nice to see those ingredients are included in this sunscreen. The cruelty free aspect is excellent. I’m trying to switch all my skincare products to cruelty free brands.

This is good stuff. I recommend it.

I’ve searched for a while for a good mineral sunscreen to replace a brilliant one that SpaceNK sadly no longer stocks. A sunscreen that is photo-stable and effective without chemical active ingredients that may be hormone disrupting, reef attacking or irritating to my sensitive skin.

This is moisturising and sinks into the skin well without the white cast of other mineral screens; I don’t find it tacky or too heavy. The slightly lemony colour actually helps mask my red rosacea prone cheeks too.

Plus it plays nicely with make-up and looks natural. It’s also easy to re-apply. I suspect it might be difficult to wash out of white t-shirts like most sunscreens, but haven’t had that problem yet!.

I received this sample suncreen product a few days ago. I’ll be honest, I usually skip out on sunscreen for the mere fact that it always seems to greasy for me but I like how this one absorbs into the skin and didnt feel like I had an extra layer of cream on my face.

I used it by itself on my face with no make up the first day. It was fine. Next time I applied it right before I used my light weight foundation on top. I waited about 30 seconds before I applied the foundation and it didnt feel too heavy.

The only reason I didnt give it 4 stars was because I wasn’t too fond of its fragrance. Other then that this is a good quality sunscreen.

I decided to try this product as the sun screen I previously used was unavailable. I have been using it for around 2 weeks and haven’t had a breakout (which I have done previously with other facial sun screens) and it hasn’t felt greasy or heavy.

It has a very light sheen I find but I actually like this for the tone of my skin colour and feels it helps a bit with redness. I haven’t work foundation on top yet think it will be fine. Happy to have found a nice one! Also seems like it will last for a long time as a little goes a long way.

This is probably one of my favorite sunscreens I’ve ever tried! I’ve tried buying other sunscreens, mineral ones that “don’t leave a white cast” and cheaper chemical options, and I just purchased this sunscreen for the fourth time.

I also come back to this because it’s a reliable choice and have had no problems. I’m Southeast Asian with a skin tone that’s on the lighter side of the medium/tan range, so if I wear a 100% mineral sunscreen, my skin is light enough that it blends in but also dark enough for someone to tell that my skin tone looks off (sort of like a white cool-toned tint to my warm skin?).

In other words, I just look a bit paler than usual and it looks unnatural. With this sunscreen, I don’t have to think about if you can see it on my skin or if it’s not blended. I usually put on more sunscreen than suggested (just to be safe), and this glides on extremely easily over my skin ( and I also didn’t notice any scent/an unpleasant chemical smell).

It is a bit slippery (no oils are in this, just silicones), but your skin will feel soft after rubbing it in. Speaking of which, you don’t need to put in a lot of effort to apply! I had recently gotten jaw surgery and had switched to a different sunscreen (chemical, but had a white color that disappeared after rubbing in).

I had incisions on the left and right side of my bottom jaw, which sunscreen would be necessary to prevent scarring, and I found that I had trouble rubbing in my sunscreen (walking into harsh lighting, I’d see white along the sides of my jaw from not blending well enough).

I switched to this instead and had no problem, nor did I have to worry about having any weird coloring. The finish is a soft matte, almost similar to the Fenty Pro Filter Instant Retouch Primer. Overall, if you want an SPF that you would enjoy applying and wouldn’t have to worry about looking weird or greasy, this is perfect!.

I wear mineral sunscreen almost daily, but I find that it doesn’t always play well with some foundations and primers. I’d been debating whether to try this product for a while, then it popped up as a sample option at checkout for another purchase.

I was so excited to receive my little sample packet a few days later. It is in fact completely clear and upon application feels just like any other silicone-based primer. I applied my normal skincare products first- vit C serum and moisturizer- and let them fully absorb into my skin (about 10 minutes.

) Then, I squeezed out one small drop of Unseen Sunscreen and patted it on to just half my face for comparison purposes. Immediately, I noticed how much more even it made my skin. Like a fine putty, it smoothed over all my pores, lines and textured areas, leaving a flawless glowing canvas behind.

I was worried about it being too mattifying since I have drier skin, but that was not the case at all. My foundation glided over this product incredibly easy, without clinging to any problem areas. I then worried that as the day wore on, my makeup would start to appear oily or slip off, but it didn’t move.

Not even a little bit, and I maintained that gorgeous glow all day. Although the sample was enough for about 3 applications, I ordered a full size after just the first day. I’ve now used it 3 days in total, with 2 of those days having spent several hours in the sun.

So far, no signs of sun damage whatsoever, even after one day where my neck and chest turned a bit red. I’m so beyond pleased with this product for not only saving me time spent applying sunscreen and primer separately, but for giving me a flawless finish.

This will definitely be a product I reach for often.

You might be thinking: will adding sunscreen to my morning & face every few hours really make that much of a difference? I’m here to tell you: it absolutely will. My skin is on the dry/oily side depending on the time of year- but in the winter my skin wants to match the intensity of the frigid cold snow and crumble away like that granola bar you forgot is in the bottom of your bag as a safety snack.

It’s not cute friends, not cute. The unseen sunscreen revitalizes my skin & lets me have peace of mind that it’s protected from not only the blazing rays of the sun- but also adds a little extra punch of hydration so that I know that despite my genetics- there’s an improved chance of my skin looking younger for longer.

I cannot recommend this product enough! I apply it after washing, toning, adding my serum, and moisturizing to really lock in the moisture. It’s comfortable under makeup & doesn’t affect the texture of my BB cream.

I use Supergoop!’s mineral powder to reapply sunscreen after a few hours if I am wearing makeup- otherwise if I’m not I’ll slather this on again and hit my face with a lil setting spray to feel fancy.

It’s worth the money! I’m inconsistent (despite my dedication to not look like a dried up raisin) so the full sized version will last me two months. As an added bonus: You can ALSO recycle the bottle after you’ve used all of the product so you aren’t contributing to landfills while trying to keep ya skin fresh.

(I may have imagined that last part but I’m nearly 87. 5% sure you can recycle the type of plastic through some method or another). 15/10- recommend.

I love this product, I cannot lie. Why the three stars? I honestly cannot afford to buy this every month, which if I used this generously enough to get the full sunscreen benefit, it would be gone in a month or less.

However, this product is like an MVP in my makeup bag, it makes everything else perform better when I choose to use it sparingly. I love it. But I can’t afford to keep buying such a small volume of product, so I docked 2 stars.

Maybe I’m bitter. Does it replace three products: moisturizer, primer, sunscreen? Yes, it does if used generously, but I still can get those products separately for much cheaper than I can buying this to replace them.

I would recommend this product for anyone who can afford it.

I absolutely Love the 3 in 1 primer with SPF in works amazing. I am a big walker and the sunblock works great. The only downfall or negative I have is that the tube is a nice size for the price you think you’re getting allot but there is seriously very little primer in it.

The video on Instagram shows the model using a good amount I was so surprised when I received it. I have bought 2 so far i use it every day and I only use the size of a pea (very little) because it only lasts a week or maybe two.

I started using another brand primer where the tube isn’t as large and it lasts a long while. I do miss the thrive alot but i just cannot afford to buy it twice a month iI feels great but I feel like I’m getting ripped off.

Makes no sense that there is hardly any primer in the big tube??? ☹️.

I was SEARCHING for sunscreen that was vegan, clean, and not thick. I saw this and pulled the trigger. I’m glad I did because I have my lifetime facial sunscreen! I’m new to daily sunscreen on the face and had yet to find an excellent product.

This is it and you won’t be sorry! The texture is very velvety and goes into the skin fully. I used as the last step before my BB foundation and am impressed. My skin’s not greasy or shiny and I feel good about protecting from sun damage.

The added bonus is the primer. I wish Thrive would make a larger size.
