If you purchase two, you can cool both a high-tdp graphics card and a CPU, providing sufficient cooling for high-voltage ocs. However, the rad screws are unique in that you receive three sizes, but your extra screws from previous builds will not work.
Corsair contracts Hardware labs to make their radiators and they are hard to beat. Really no nead to flush them out as I did with a vinegar and distilled water mix. I did 5 flushes and no particulates came out so the rad was cleaned well at the factory.
Higher performing rad compared to my other E**B while being slightly thinner. 60mm for the E**B vs 54mm for the XR7. Nice to see that they offer a white version for the XR5 (30mm) also.
I picked up an XR7 and an XR5 unit to put in my O11D (non XL) case. It’s super tight so if I did it again I’d just go with a single XR7 or two XR5’s. The thermals are outstanding regardless. Just remember to flush them thoroughly before installation.
I would definitely use these again in one of my builds.
Would not buy again. The AM4 socket mounting solution was either poorly explained, poorly designed, furnished with the wrong parts, or perhaps even all three. What makes me most angry is that I’ll probably never know because the instructions for this thing are so utterly garbage.
I cannot emphasize that enough. See below. When I went to assemble this thing, I first tried reading the instruction manual which again due to it being pictures only and interleaving all the sequences into one was convoluted and difficult to follow.
So you’re supposed to remove your motherboard’s stock backing plate and use a custom backing plate provided which can support multiple different screw patterns. Okay fine except the snaps you use to secure the screws in place are extremely stiff.
I thought I was going to break them. That was just the start of the problems though. Next, the backing plate screws are way smaller in diameter than the holes on the motherboard so the backing plate can float and rotate.
Uh, okay that doesn’t seem right. Now that could be the motherboard’s fault but what’s not the motherboard’s fault is that the screws are shoulder screws and they aren’t threaded far enough to allow the socket-side standoffs to fully tighten against the motherboard.
So then when you put the mounting brackets on, they just sort of. wobble all over the place and I guess you can try to tighten the CPU cooler on top of that. I expect the threads would bind though. And moreover, the last-gen version of this same cooler I have in another machine had standoffs which firmly tightened against the motherboard.
That would lead me to think this one works the same way. But I can’t really know because again, the instruction manual didn’t articulate what to expect. Were the brackets supposed to be loose? Were they NOT supposed to be lose? Who knows!? Think about how much info something as simple as “cinch until finger tight against motherboard” conveys or “cinch until finger tight against shoulder screw”.
That’s all you needed to say. Then I could have known this is or is not design intent, or oh woops they sent me the wrong parts. I ended up completely hacking this thing together the way my brain expects it to work by using the standoffs for the Intel sockets as nuts on the back side of the motherboard and eschewing the backing plate entirely.
(I know, right?) That got my brackets to be solidly linked to the motherboard. Then I tightened the screws with the absurdly aggressive springs, worried I was going to crack the board or the CPU socket.
Or maybe they’re actually not that aggressive because you would have an extra 3mm when not tightening the brackets to the motherboard. Again I don’t know because the instruction manual didn’t explain anything!.
I would recommend this case to anyone who, like me, is putting together an ATX build they want to save a lot of space on. I used my old PC parts to make a smaller build for LAN parties, which is why I wanted a smaller case that still fit an ATX board because that is what I had.
This is a very reasonable case for being a portable build. There is no issue fitting any component inside and the cable management in the back is super roomy. No regrets buying this. That being said, the airflow is low.
The holes drilled in the case are restricted and the magnetic dust filters only add to that. I did not get any screws to mount additional fans in the case but I did use some of the small zip ties to attach a fan on top bringing cool air directly to my CPU cooler as the ATX size power supply blocks the air flow to that area.
But this worked out extremely well because I mounted the fan with holes that made the air flow more level with my CPU cooler. I fit my Hyper Evo 212 heatsink in easily and the top mounted fan pulled air in to keep is running between 29c to 33c at idle and around 37c to 40c under load.
My GPU is an old GTX 760 which does not currently have airflow directly to with a fan. The GPU does however have three fans and with the bottom of the case being vented as well it manages to stay within normal temperatures.

The video which demonstrates installation looks so easy, however it fails to tell you when you remove the pre-installed CPU brackets which come with probably most motherboards, there is a mounting plate on the underside of the motherboard.
This is important when you come to installing the standoff screws, as these go into the mounting plate. Additionally, when you come to screwing the CPU cooler into the mounting bracket, you’ll find the screws won’t reach the holes.
To Solve this I had to loosen all screws on the mounting bracket, turn the PC upright, and have someone push the mounting plate from the rear of the motherboard, while I screwed in the CPU cooler from the side.
That being said, it’s a great product and is installed very securely. Would advise having someone able to assist just in case.
I have used Scan for my PC builds for a long time now. I first used the store around 2008 or 2010. Recently had to replace an aftermarket cpu cooler for my “potato” AMD FX-8350 using an even older Arctic freezer 64 I had on my previous old Phenom.
The bearings just gave out. thought I’d try and squeeze a few more years use out of my PC before I really need to upgrade. again. AM3+ socket coolers are now harder to source given the newer cpus and mobos.
Scan gave me a choice of 2 , unfortunately only one fit my case. The Arctic Freezer 7xCO cpu cooler is designed for Always On servers but is doing a fairly good job in my PC. This years UK summer is slightly warmer than the last few years, ambient room temperature is around 26degC.
My old FX-8350 is currently sitting at 22degC (CPUID HWmonitor) on desktop. In games (Elite mostly) and audio/video editting it can get up 70degC which is considerabley less than it was before. Scan have always had instock what I have needed in the past, or they have Live Chat from the shop website if customers want a quick chat.

Bought this cooler along with an MSI MAG B560 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX Motherboard. Unfortunately, that motherboard has rather chunky heatsinks that are incompatible with the attachment method for this CPU cooler.
Not without using an angle grinder on a heatsink anyway. Even before that problem was discovered, when I unboxed the cooler, I was unimpressed that it relies on two slim plastic ‘lugs’ to support its substantial weight.
I was happier fitting the stock Intel cooler that came with the CPU. At least it fitted in seconds and didn’t look like it could fall off at any moment. The Arctic cooler went back in the box. At the price it’s not worth the hassle of returning.
The Cryorig H7 is a CPU cooler that has three 6mm heatpipes. The tower of the radiator has a special lamella design, the so-called “Hive Fin” structure, which provides better cooling through efficient air circulation.

This heatsink is awesome. Price is affordable and fit in my tower with plenty of room to spare. All of my ram was accessible after installing too. It’s extremely quiet and keeps my tower cool. Both where what i was looking for as i had a stock heatsink from radeon.
My tower would be very loud and hot to the touch. It’s a little difficult to install considering how easy the youtube videos make it out to be. First, you need a very long flat-head screw driver to make the bracket fit your cpu socket.
That seems often overlooked in the tutorials i watched. Second, this is mainly my tower’s fault, but you might have to remove your motherboard to access the back socket and fit the brackets. I wasn’t expecting to touch my motherboard.
It’s not something i’d like to do again, but considering the installation tutorials for the coolermaster, i’d say this was an easy process.

Love Scan’s Sunday ordering. Received Monday AM. This cooler is a little smaller than expected, but that isn’t a bad thing. You need an internet connection to find instructions, which may not be ideal for everyone.
Installation on a mounted board was very frustrating as it relies on the AM4 backplate, and the spring screws require more than a little pressure. Pair this with very sharp edges and it can be quite an aggravating experience.
But once properly mounted the performance is excellent. Compared to my stock AMD cooler, temps are 15-20 degrees lower on my Ryzen 5 2600X, and fan noise quieter, especially under load. Once installation woes are forgotten it’s an excellent product for the money.
Buy this if you want something a notch or two better than the coolers AMD supply with with their low-mid range CPUs. It’s super-easy to fit, no sharp edges and no bleeding fingers at the end. There’s some thermal paste pre-applied so no need to buy extra.
The noise it makes is inaudible out of the case and there’s enough cooling headroom to allow a modest overclock if you want to go there – but obviously if you are serious about squeezing the most from one of these processors then you would need to spend a lot more on cooling than this.
But an excellent cooler for the price: no frills and no fuss.

Let’s now take that same cooler and put it on our HSF/AIO test system, which of course is more a “worst” case possible scenario, and see how it does. Base may have imperfections and is normal.
Unless you’re overclocking this is probably the best stock cooler you can get. It’s more than enough for most gamers and the RGB is nice if you’re into that sort of thing. Definitely a step up from the Wraith Stealth cooler and slightly better than the Wraith Spire.
I would definitely recommend as an upgrade for any of the 65W CPUs in the AMD lineup.
Using this fan and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Thermal Paste, I was able to overclock my Ryzen 5 3600 to 3. 95 Ghz and limit the CPU temp to about 55C at idle and under 98C under load for 30 minutes. That’s roughly a ~10% increase in performance over the base clock speed and puts my 3600 at roughly the same level of performance as a stock 3800X.
Based on my results, I don’t know why anyone would run a Ryzen 3000-series processor at it’s stock frequency when this fan is included with all Ryzen 7 and 9 boxed CPUs. That said I wouldn’t recommend this fan for extreme overclocking.
Userbenchmark shows the 3600 has been overclocked to 4. 3 Ghz which requires a water cooling solution or a thermal siphon to achieve. Overall, I’d rate this fan a 4/5 for performance and 5/5 for value(~$25-$35 separately or included with any 3000-series Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 boxed CPU.
Good temps on both a Ryzen 5 3600x and a Ryzen 7 3700x. Lights up well but no instruction booklet. It comes with both an Addressable RGB cable and a USB2 header cable and you only need one of them. Use the ARGB cable if your motherboard has the relevant connection and you want motherboard controlled lighting or you want to add it in a chain with some led strips.
Use the USB2 header cable if you want software controlled lighting. Download the Cooler Master RGB software for running this model which it doesn’t tell you anywhere. If you don’t plug in either it will just run at a default rainbow pattern which is quite nice anyway.

This is my first radiator purchase. I wanted to try an AIO on my new build. Its built well, packaged nicely and works fine. The remote is nice to have. I very much like the option to turn off all lights when I choose to as I didn’t want lights but its great to have that option.
The Default fan speed is high out the box. Its audible on high but not loud to me(video). I usually just leave it on high but set it to medium when wanting to use less power and I’m not doing any heavy tasks.
In my setup the CPU sits at 26-30C on medium. CPU temperatures jump to 52C when doing heavy gaming with fan speed on high on my setup. Just wanted to provide some details on this setup as its fairly recent and not much out there on this one.

This is a great cooler at a crazy low price. Dropped my temps over 20°c and fits perfectly in my micro-atx case. Great option for budget based systems or any system really. Getting the same performance as a Cool Master Hyper T2 cooler at half the price.
If you haven’t seen the Hyper T2 it’s the same low profile 2 pipe cooler as this one just double the price cause it lights up blue lol. If your not going for looks and just care about performance and getting the job done on your SFF rig at the best price, than this is the cooler for you.
Performance wise this cooler does do very well. between 10 and 20 degrees C lower than a stock cooler covering both idle and full cpu use, works best on a motherboard that is fully compatible. I gave this cpu cooler one or two less EGGS as it’s not detecting as well as other similar cpu coolers as far as fan speed control goes.
Having tested several on different motherboards the ability to control this 200t is intermittent and has a hard time getting above about 870 RPM that includes BIOS and software such as speed fan. The systems won’t remember the fan settings once you reboot your computer.
One system an AMD X4 with asus motherboard did work fine with this cpu cooler, however a dual core intel, an AMD X3 and an AMD X6 on a gigabyte motherboard didn’t work correctly and i had to use speed fan software in advanced mode tweaking assembler code values every time i restart the computer to set the fan to a proper speed because many motherboards won’t recognize the 200t cpu cooler fan controls, many sensor read errors and the fan values change at every reboot so speed fan can’t be used automatically on many computer systems.
Tested a coolmaster 212 and a cpuboss cah-209-02 on the same phenom x3 system as this 200t is on and they were detected by both the bios and windows / speed fan and worked flawlessly. No need to tweak at all.
This fan installed easily, but it’s going to be a tight squeeze. It runs so much cooler than stock and overclocked from 3. 2 to 4ghz it’s still 20 degrees F than stock speed with the Intel bundled fan.
Get this and have it pull air over your RAM and aim it at the case fan blowing out, I’d never buy water cooling after seeing how cold this fan makes things. Even my video card nearby dropped 10 degrees just because it’s moving so much air near it too.
It’s 900rpm speed is effectively silent. Dial your case fan to the same speed and you’ll have a whisper quiet PC you can overclock heavy. It comes with thermal compound already applied so don’t spend any money on getting that, you won’t need it to install, or any tools.
If you’re not taking the MB out, find the person in your house with the smallest fingers, you’ll probably need them to get the latch on :).

Great little cooler for the money. Fan is audible over 1500 rpm in my case but doesn’t ever go over that speed. Load temps reduced by 7- 8 degrees using cpuz stress test, changed from wraith spire cooler.
Be aware vrms might now not get any cooling as this is a tower cooler and not a top down one. In prime95 my CPU throttles at 75 degrees which it didn’t do before, althought had to stop the test as the wraith spire couldn’t cope so think it’s the hot vrms now.
In normal gaming the temps are better and vrms are fine. Would recommend this as a replacement for a the wraith spire.
Not the most powerful air cooler, but very cheap for a copper heatpipe cooler and better than the stock AMD cooler that came with my 5600X. Copes with unlocking the TDP of the chip with precision boost overdrive (highly recommend) just hitting 92C in benchmark level multithreaded workloads.

A great air cooler and (at the time) priced slightly cheaper than the trusty Hyper 212. The ARGB top logo is a nice finishing touch. Idle temps are a good 15-20deg cooler than stock intel cooler (granted this case also has a lot better airflow).
A little fiddly to assemble in a small case but comes with a nice assortment of brackets and RGB adapter cables. The backplate is quite thick and doesn’t allow my cases stock SSD tray to sit behind the motherboard (cooler is mounted with studs so cant use the stock intel backplate that has nuts) but luckily I didn’t need to mount drives there anyway.

Brought my CPU temps down from 80c to 72c at 72F ambient temperature during 2 hour hard gaming session. I was not looking for a big change. CPU idles at 35c – 45c. If you are looking for bigger reduction I would look at a 4 – 6 heat pipe design.
But I remember a few years back they warned against cooling a chip to far below it’s design temperature. It effects performance. Has a nice tower design with the fin thickness and spacing. Be careful not to bend the fins while you are holding to mount the cooler and fasten the clips.
Takes a little pressure, but it is needed to clip it in place. I used silver thermo paste on the processer and cooler to get the temperature results mentioned above. The spring clips for mounting are strong and firm to hold the to the chip.
Good hold help when your mother board is in a tower case and cooler is at 90 deg from floor. I like these tower cooler style because I like getting heat away from the motherboard and the components around the CPU like ram.
The downdraft coolers that come with many CPU blow the heat downward and about the CPU. The tower channels the heat upward through the copper tubes and the fan blows the heat toward the back case fan and out the back.
Whole system is cooler by getting CPU/Motherboard heat up and out.
I would recommend you buy this product especially if using a Amd FX ™-8320 and thinking about using the stock fan. I bought a second one just in case another fan on my other system goes out. Just fyi I had a little trouble locking it down in place as I removed the fan to make it easier to hold and to move it to the other side of heat sink.
When holding it in place, i had to hold the clip on one side while holding heat sink and let someone else push the clip down to lock it in place. All while doing this while it’s in case because it was a replacement.
Over all its a great heat sink for the price! Not sure about overclocking the cpu , if it would keep it cool but does the trick on the stock settings and is quite. works great and i would recommend buying it.
The case I was working with is a little narrow compared to most and I only had about 152 mm to fit a cooler. That ruled out nearly all reasonably priced 120mm fan heat pipe coolers like the Cooler Master 212 and etc.
So, my choices were to either spend more than I wanted to for this machine on a Noctua, DeepCool, or BeQuiet cooler with a lower profile design, or use a 92mm fan cooler. Even in the 92mm fan sized coolers, I still had to be careful to find one that would fit the case I was working with.
This one fits. The trade you make between a 92mm fan cooler and a 120 or 140 is noise. The bigger the fan, the slower it can be turning to move the same or even more air. I put this cooler on an i5 7400 and it’s more than capable enough cooler for that chip even in a small case.
The fan is quiet under normal loads, but it’s pretty audible when it spins up for a busy processor. This machine will be under a desk on the floor and not on top of the desk near the users ears, so the noise level is acceptable.

Bis vor kurzem war der Lüfter allerdings ganz gut und vor allem auch leise. Mein Setting besteht aus einem Asus B550-f und einem Ryzen 5 3600. Die Lüftersteuerung habe ich auf leise eingestellt aber das ist dem Lüfter derzeit egal und auch wenn man manuell an der Lüfterkurve dreht hilft es nicht.
Eine Säuberung und mechanische Überprüfung hat leider auch nicht geholfen. Es ist sehr nervtötend weshalb ich in Zukunft vermutlich einen Bogen um Lüfter des Herstellers machen werde.

It’s a OK heatsink but I’ve seen cheaper. Also if you don’t pay attention to the instructions you could end up installing it the wrong way. Depending on your CPU of course. Also no matter how tight you get this baby.
It will always wiggle so make sure you have it aligned and adjusted before you are done with it. So don’t go overboard tightening it super tight. Also watch out putting that thermal paste on, it fly’s out of the tube.
Running a Ryzen 5 3600 with stock CPU cooler and was having CPU overheating problems. After installing this unit, problems are solved. Haven’t seen over 60 degrees C even under the load that would previously overheat the CPU.

I’d highly recommend this over any stock cooler, it cools better without needing any other adjustments. The fan slightly overhangs the left-most RAM slot, however the fan can be moved up by placing the wire on a higher fin.
Keep in mind if clearance is too close to the front panel of your case, you may not be able to get the fan high enough for certain RAM sticks like the Trident Z NEO I use. My P300 case has just enough clearance to move the fan up a couple fins to fit more RAM, but the fan would be resting on the RAM stick.
When I first looked up reviews for this cooler, people showed the cooler coming with clips. These would go on the stock mounts that come with AM4 sockets and would have the cooler mounted vertically so the fan pushes air upwards and the “Be Quiet!” would be upright.
It now appears to come with it’s own bracket to mount horizontal like most coolers, but no clips. Installation was very simple, you first put the 4 longer black spacers (The thin spacers are also needed for AM3) over the backplate threads (You need to use the backplate that comes with your motherboard.
) Then you put down the two metal brackets over the spacers (one on the left, one on the right) and screw them down using the correct holes. After that, put the bar over the inside of the block (The opposite side of the thermal paste) and line up the holes on the sides with the middle holes of the two brackets and start screwing them in.
I gave a slight twist on the cooler to help spread the paste, whether it helps or not. Screw the cooler down until both screws are fairly tight and require decent force, but don’t over tighten. Once it’s done, you put on the fan by first hooking the wire into the holes on one side (This is your time to decide the orientation of the fan so the cable comes out where you need it) and hook the wire over the fins where the indent is on the thin side.
The wire should slip between the fins and leave a small tab of wire poking out on the side. Do the same for the other side (You will have to stretch the wire back a bit which can be tough).
I bought this cooler for an older system that I use as a media PC. The fan on the stock cooler was going out and needed a replacement. I went to Be Quiet!’s website that has a handy motherboard compatibility lookup to see what coolers work with the motherboard.
This cooler showed up with a big green check to indicate that it would work. However, as I am attempting to install it there is no way the included brackets will work with this motherboard (MSI NF750-G55).
The right bracket fits fine, but the left runs into a heatsink on the board (even if I removed the heatsink some capacitors underneath would still prevent installation). I am a bit frustrated at the customer support, as they seemed to disregard half of what I stated in my attempts to solve the discrepancy between what the website said and what I was experiencing.
It ended up that there was no mounting this cooler on my existing board and had to return for a different (more expensive) product. They said they would correct the website to reflect the incompatibility.
This is my first experience with Be Quiet! and let’s just say that I hope the new cooler can redeem them. One egg demoted for bad compatibility chart, one for lackluster customer support.
FYI, this does blow back, not up. Maybe they changed the mounting brackets later, but I was actually hoping for updraft setup due to my case arrangment but even backdraft is fine. Mounts are VERY RIGID so it can handle its own weight well.

To me thats watercooling performance IMO. I did lock my vcore in bios as it kept spiking when in auto mod making silly no load temps of 50c. No load temp in my garage in Central Texas is 42c with 89F ambient with 1.

I have a Ryzen 9 3900X system and wanted something that was much quieter and delivered better performance than the bundled Wraith Prism cooler. This delivered on both accounts. With the AMD Wraith Prism, I was idling near 50C and the fan was always noisily ramping up even when web browsing.
At full CPU load it was very loud and still could barely keep my CPU under 90C. With this new Dark Rock Slim, I am Idling in the mid 30’s, and full load torture test is in the mid 70s. The fan never ramps up audibly.
At full blast, I still have to lean an ear towards my case to hear it running. It’s truly impressive. The best part is that it is not some massive monster cooler that blocks your RAM and cable connectors.
it is a little tall, but very reasonably sized and slim. Looks very clean in your system as it doesn’t fill up the whole case. Installation was a little challenging as the instructions are not extremely clear.
It’s possible to do without removing MB from case. Took me about 20 minutes, but I could probably do it in 5 a second time now that I know how to do it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a silent, reasonably compact and well performing cooler.
I’ve been using Enermax LiqTech TR4 360 AIO for the paste 2+ years on Threadripper 1950X and it eventually stopped working due to really bad corrosion with temps above 60° while idle. Moving to air cooling made perfect sense, I mean; no corrosion, no dead pump, no leakage, etc.
Shipping: it was surprisingly fast, I received it 5 days before its estimated delivery date (international shipping during corona!). Temperature: 32°-40° (idle on BIOS), 44°-56° (under load), ambient temperature 22°-24°.
Installation: a bit over complicated. Noise: it is really quiet even under load (not talking about bench marking). Things to consider: 1. It partially covers the first PCIe slot (MB: Asus Zenith Extreme) and I had to move the GPU to a different slot.
2. RAM clearance is a bit tricky, make sure that it will fit. 3. It is massive compare to an AIO, you need to check that it will fit. Overall: I am very satisfied with this cooler as well as the shopping experience at this website (first time shopping here).
I am using this to cool my Threadripper 2990WX processor. With the precision boost overdrive enabled, all 32 cores will run between 3. 9GHz and 4. 0GHz for most multi-threaded applications. With synthetic stress testers like Statuscore and Prime95, speeds will slowly throttle down to the 3.
5GHz range, which is still very impressive for an air cooler on 32-cores! This cools better than the two Enermax Liqtech 360 coolers that I tried; both of those AIO coolers failed in under a year, and both were sent back for RMA.
I literally have a brand-new, in box replacement from Enermax sitting unopened because I’d rather keep this air cooler on it. The heatsink barely gets warm and even under full load with synthetics, I never hear the fans.
This is much quieter than the Liqtech. By a mile. The only thing you should be concerned about is the size. No joke– it’s is big as a toaster. 4 of the 8 DRAM modules cannot be installed or removed without first removing the heatsink.
Your video card will still fit into the top slot but the backplate will have less than 2 millimeters of clearance. Just FYI. Highly recommended. Take it from me– I’ve had a 1950X, a 2950X and now a 2990WX, I’ve used a Corsair AIO cooler and the Liqtech 360.
This isn’t going to clog up, outperforms over the long run, it’s quiet and it’s a hoot to look at. When I was ordering the product, I was unsure. Now that I’ve been using it for a month, buy it. Absolutely buy it.

only compatible with aura sync, it would be nice to see this compatibility stretch a little further such as chroma connect, or RGB fusion. unfortunately it’s impossible to sync the RGB lighting affect with the rest of my rig :(.

Die Verarbeitung ist insgesamt sehr gut ! Die Lichteffekte und Lichtstärke des Kühlkopfes sind mehr als Ausreichend. Die Kühlleistung trotz 240 Radiators ist überraschend gut. Mein 12 Kerner 5900x wird nicht heißer als 75 Grad unter Vollast.
Asus werbt hier mit extra für Radiatoren angefertigten Lüftern, die zu Corsair LL120 keinen Unterschied machten…als auch die RGB Beleuchtung der Lüfter ist nicht so sättigend wie z. B bei den Corsairs.
Trotz der einigen kleinen Kritikpunkten kann ich die AiO durchaus weiterempfehlen !.

I recommend the hell out of this. Just make sure you have about an extra 6 inches of room in your case or it might not fit. Before this I was using a standard cooling heat sink and fan. My normal operating temps were between 115F and 125 depending on how dusty it was.
When gaming I would push anywhere from 135F to 155F on my CPU temps. I would start getting paranoid about overheating. I bought this as a replacement just to upgrade and get away from the standard cooler (plus move the hot brick of aluminum away from my Core heat sink), and I DO NOT regret it in the slightest.
Even right now as I am just typing this review I am running at about 86F on my CPU and 74 on my Core. It seems doing this has dropped temps in my case all around. Seriously if you have doubts, I suggest you try this type of cooler out.
