20 Best Biking Shorts For Men (2023 Updated)

I’m going to keep this short, no pun intended! Anyway, I’ve had a pair of these now for 3 seasons, and I haven’t had any of the issues that the one star reviews gave, I think they are a quality short.

None of the zippers have failed, they are easy to open and close, and I put stuff in my pockets too so I give the pockets reasonable stress and still haven’t failed. My shorts use a snap on for the waste and not a button, so not sure if the button thing that some have screamed about is a newer thing or an older thing vs my shorts, but a button can be sewn back on.

I obviously have had no issues with the stitching, the stitching still looks like it did when I got them new. I use them once a week, then wash them in handwash mode on my washing machine, the instructions say to line dry but I throw them in the dryer on the gentle cycle, except for the liner, the liner gets air dried.

Could be my body size but I found the shorts to run a tad large, which is adjustable with the side straps band thing. Not sure if the quality has slipped over the past 3 years since I bought mine in 2019, but I am completely happy with these shorts, and they’re good for at least another season and probably more.

While the padded liner that came with mine will probably need to be replaced at some time this next year or the year after, the short itself will continue to live on. A word about padded liners and how to wash them, padded liners will take on odors so you need to rid that odor when you wash them, the best way to do that is to use your regular laundry detergent and then add a cup of white vinegar to the wash, put the wash on soak mode on gentile or delicate or handwash cycle, so I wash all my liners together with nothing else in the load.

If the odor is persistent after that then do the same as above but add a cup of baking soda on top of it all.

I bought the first ZOIC mountain bike shorts in 1996. They were AWESOME. First shorts engineered for mountain biking. Durable, good fit, removable liner, position, size and angles of pockets. Elastic and Velcro waist to adjust to my changing size.

Still have Zoic sticker on my 1991 Cannondale Mt Bike. Used the originals for 25 years but this year needed larger waist. Searched the market and ZOIC is still innovator and best designed short. The new Ether has rad colors and various lengths.

Most important for me is waist is more adjustable. Fabric light, breathable, nice hand. Pocket tweaked a little but still where I love/need them. Crotch ventilated by material no zippers. Durable pocket zipper liners.

Improved fly zipper Velcro closure. Right length and width of leg to permit movement on and off the bike. COMFORTABLE & STYLISH These are the BEST made 👍.

I have 6 pairs of Ether shorts and 2 pairs of Blackmarket shorts. Love the shorts material and durability but HATE the Velcro that fails and loses its grip and HATE the zipper. To solve the Velcro problem I use a dremel tool to shave off the Velcro and replace it with a sturdier stick on velcro which solves the problem.

To solve the zipper failings that I’ve had I take it to the Asian alteration shop down the road and have them sew a new zipper on ( have done this three times). I shouldn’t have to do this to $75 shorts but I like the material and the fit.

If Zoic could solve the zipper and velcro issues they’d be the perfect shorts.

Normally, depending on brand, I can be L or M. Decided on L in this case. Shorts are too big, and pad feels stiff and does not follow the shape of your body. Makes you look/feel bad. A M would have been much better fit, but not sure if the pad would stick out (on the back).

Quality seems ok but I will not use the L, a waste. : (.

Wasn’t certain what to expect. However, these actually perform well alongside brands like dhb and Rapha. Not quite as good, but for the money an absolute steal and a third of the price of designer cycling brands.

I tested them on a 20-mile ride and I had absolutely no complaints!.

Very great fit and very comfortable. Padding is in the right area. Not too tight on the thighs either and good shorts length. Did a quick 10K ride with a few climbs and a few sprints. Still had good leg movements on climbs and sprints.

Didn’t get the feeling that the shorts are too tight which is a big bonus. A very happy customer.

Very comfortable, great padded chamois, very happy with these. I’m thin and I love the padding. The fit is amazing, great design. Just the right amount of friction on my Fizik saddle (my previous shorts were slippery).

Had them a few months, do several hard one hour rides a week. In previous century I wore wool shorts with leather chamois. My last recent pair were cheap Performance Bike shorts. These Sugoi Evolutions are a huge improvement.

I haven’t tried any other shorts in this price range, but I’d venture to say that shorts in the $100-150 range are worth the price and are just way better than any $50 shorts. I think these run small, and would suggest that if your waist is near the top of a range, go for the next larger size.

(Me 30-31″ waist, size small was way too small, but medium is great.

Top quality cycling short. The fabric gives good support. I like the invisible padding. The waist needs to be an inch higher on the front tummy. I wish that the elastic waistband had a bit more stretch and not so tight around my waist.

It is a bit uncomfortable as other customers have commented. Going up a size would be too big elsewhere. These are still my favorite shorts. The length is perfect. Please make the waistband elastic more forgiving and stretchy on future shorts and a bit higher at the front.

My first bib, so hard to say as I can’t compare to others. But I like it so far. For sizing, I have the exact same short with Sugoi, they are my fave shorts (RS Pro), that is why I went with this bib.

I tried the large and medium for this bib. I wear a large with the shorts. But I’m short, only 5’6” and 34” waist. The large bib is the one still fit me best. It is about 1cm longer towards the knee compared to the large shorts.

The medium bib length felt the same length as my large shorts… but the medium bib was just a tad tight. Hope that helps for shorter people with sizing. Sugoi makes a comfy and quality product.

Awesome radio and very easy to use just like the rest and a different look to it and it fits the hand very nice and also I’ve had good audio reports with it and I would recommend others to give this radio a go.

It’s a bit annoying when I have purchased these shorts before and a friend asked me to order some for her and we went to great lengths to get the size and the colour right and guess what I received the wrong size and colour.

Not happy Jan. Also I ordered another pair and there wasn’t even a proper zip in them, so I won’t be buying any more.

Great shorts! But please add a proper button to the front. Sort of a flimsy solution that’s there now

Finally coming back to review these after having them over a year. This is my favorite chamois for mountain biking! The pad has perfect support where it’s needed and is thin and breathable everywhere it’s not.

I had tried several different brands in search of a waist band that didn’t dig into my stomach, and this one has the most comfortable design by far. The material is comfortable, breathable, and stays in place over long rides.

The legs don’t ride up at all, but also don’t leave elastic ring marks around my thighs after a long ride. They’ve stayed in great shape over a year of heavy use.

This is my 2nd pair of Louis Garneau Fit Sensor shorts and they are now my go-to cycling shorts. I like them because they hug my upper legs well, providing a continuous massage like feeling. To do this this they are constructed using far superior materials compared to the other shorts I have, such as Pearl Izumi.

The insert is thick and resilient, providing just the right amount of padded comfort. The overall fit and finish is perfect. I think these are the best value available for cycling shorts.

The color is NEITHER orange NOR true pink – something in-between. I ordered the size M – as it appeared to fit me best (normally I wear M or – sometimes – L). But the material stretches so easily that – I am afraid – I will have to use a kind of belt ))) If it were possible, I would rather order size S.

So, my tip: if you want to have more “slim fit”, order one size less than usual or than the vendor suggests. It will not be that “baggy”.

I bought these about two weeks ago, and after a few rides with these shorts, I just realized they are see through, depending on how you bend. (I recall something similar making news with a certain brand of “yoga pants” a while ago.

) In any case, after my last ride I thought I could see my leg through the front, and then I stood in front of a mirror and bent over to find out that the only thing not see through is where the padding is located.

If you get these, I suggest you test that out for yourself before wearing these without another pair of shorts on top. As for me, I will stick to a higher quality pair of shorts so I don’t offend any [more???] drivers.

🙂 With the exception of the above, these are comfortable, and the padding is perfect for my riding style. (Another customer stated there wasn’t enough padding — I did not have that issue. ) Good luck!.

I only gave three stars as the “overall rating” due to the fact I have nothing to compare them to, as these are the only ones that I have ever purchased. I am an avid rider, however I use a Fuji Hybrid and hill ride the roads in my area, so I really can’t comment on trail rides, nor long street rides.

I will add that I just ordered my second pair, as the size and feel are pretty decent, not to mention the decent price. Thus far they seem to hold up fine after a couple of months, however i do take great care when washing my gear.

If these continue to hold up, then I will order more. I have read a comment or two about how the padding could be better. For me, I’m good with it, however as mentioned, I only do some 20 – 30 minutes a day street hill rides, so perhaps other riders might need more padding.

I also have a gel cover on my seat as well, so perhaps that’s why this amount of padding is fine. There is no draw string on the waist, which I personally like- however with my size (Med) a few pounds either way might cause some discomfort.

I’m also curious to see how long the leg bands hold up, but so far, so good. Hope this helps somebody, as I am a person who relies heavily on comments when making my purchases.

These Schwinn bike shorts are perfect for the price. I ride for fitness purposes on a trail. I have more expensive gel shorts and these Schwinn shorts do almost as good a job at keeping my backside from getting saddle sore right away.

After about 20-25 miles I can start to feel it if I haven’t road in awhile no matter what I wear, the shorts do help though. Size guide I am approx. 135 lbs and a medium fits me well. The padding is not a thick as I would of liked but for the price and the riding that I do these shorts are great and I eventually plan to purchase another pair as a back-up pair.

I must say I am very pleased with this cycling pant. I saw no fitting issues with the XL pant I purchased. Really like the stair stepping sit pad in the pants and also how the thinner pad is a lot wider than my pants in the past.

It’s been several years of finding a good pant to fit this larger body. The non-draw string is not an issue with me as for others that have reviewed this pant. Also, I am pleased that the company, Aero Tech is regional to where I live and the merchandise is made in USA.

The only negative I found is I was expecting the pants to made of heavier material being an 8 panel pant. I have waited to give my review because I wanted to see how these cycling pants held up after a washing and they are fine, all intact! So, in closing I have plans in the near future to purchase another 2 pairs and hope to get a few good years of riding out of them.

The sell price is great for an eight panel riding shorts. They fit nicely, look good, and fell confortable. I’ve ridden two 20 mile rides and seem to have a little problem. It is almost like the padding should have been moved to the back about half an inch.

The rear part of the padding just cover my sit bones so that is confortable. However, the front part of the crouch area has to much material bunched up that it cause chaffing. Moving the padding back a little would give more sitting support and less material up front.

Maybe a few more rides they will feel better.

I was excited to order these as long-distance padded shorts seem to be increasingly hard to find. I have several pair of the Elite padded shorts which I’ve washed and worn many times – but the Luna short is nowhere in the same league.

I am SO disappointed. The quality is not even close to previous purchases – shorts are very (very!) thin, and there’s virtually zero compression. Even if I sized down due to the overall low-quality fabric I do not think it would help, and I would not expect these to last long.

Previously have made several purchases – other products/padded shorts – but these are going back and I’m moving on to other cycling apparel vendors.

Good quality. All pieces. Easy assembly. Very adjustable to heights needed.

I’ve been riding the Leatt shorts for a few months, and liked the 2. 0 so much I’ve bought another pair. They are light weight, well vented, fit well, and are comfortable. They are snug enough that they don’t flap around, but have enough room in the legs that I don’t feel them when pedaling.

The fabric is softer than most shorts I’ve used, and stretches. I have both the 2. 0 and 4. 0 shorts. The 4. 0 are reinforced, and heavier. I like the 2. 0 for everyday cross county rides, and use the 4.

0 for gravity riding days, or on colder days. I’m a true 32 waist, and the M fits perfect. The waist adjuster straps work well, and keep the shorts up above my hip bones so they never slip down. There are more pockets than I need, but they work well for carrying snacks, and a wallet.

There is a cell phone pocket in the back, but I keep my cell phone in my jersey, so haven’t used that pocket. A standard iPhone fits in the front pockets too for walking around after rides. These shorts are great for before/after rides too.

These Leatt shorts are hands down my favorite of all the styles I’ve tried! They are so comfortable and flattering with adjustable waist tabs to dial in the fit. The huge side pockets are my favorite part.

They’re so convenient for storing my phone that I end up wearing these shorts off the bike a lot as well, making them an even better purchase! The material is lightweight, has a premium feel, and is very durable.

The shorts have been through so many wears, washes, a few crashes, and they still look like new. Side note: these do have a somewhat low rise fit. I personally love this and find it comfortable while I’m riding, but I know some people prefer high rise so I figured it was important to mention.

These shorts are easily the most comfortable shorts I have worn. The fabric has a really nice feel, the fit for me is perfect with the tab adjustment and the slightly elasticated waste providing room for movement.

If I had to nominate some faults, they would be the gusset fly instead of a zip and the hip pockets are just that – they are to the side rather than front and, although very secure with the zip opening, are a little difficult to get into.

In reality though, these faults were initial perceptions and are easily excuse given the super comfort. Durability? Not sure just yet but they have taken a couple of tumbles and are still in good shape.

I have no hesitation in recommending these short if you’re after great comfort and feel at a very good price.

These are my second pair, the first I bought at my LBS, then I saw these on an Alti Sale…it was an instant purchase. The fabric is a lightweight, 2 way stretch, breathable ripstop fabric, I’ve ridden in temperatures between 16-36c and they’ve been very comfortable, the waistband is both perforated and padded to absorb sweat and prevent chafing, these Ranger shorts also have YKK zips and decent sized pockets that easily keep my iPhone 13 pro in place.

The colour is nothing like the image (luckily) they are more of a warm grey or dry clay colour, perfect on the dusty trails I ride. They also come with a good quality liner chamois, It is thin but very well designed and does the job for me.

What really swayed me was the fit and the waist adjustment, I’m usually a 36, but sometimes drop to a 34 inch waist, the simple adjustment means I can alter them easily if I drop some inches. With other Fox shorts I was either squeezed into a 34 or loose in a 36, with these I have a good range of adjustment.

Lastly, even though they fit my knee pads fine, they aren’t massively baggy around the knee, great. Would also like to thank the staff at altitude for help with a previous order, they’re the best online company I’ve dealt with, thank you.

Almost perfect if the crotch area get a zipper or velcro underneath the waist snap button. You don’t want anything to hop in that area while you’re out in the elements, or when you are off the bike, you don’t want any accident less than decency when that crotch area got some free entry/exit.

:D. Overall, very awesome design especially the fact that it doesn’t have elastic waist band as those will lost elasticity over time. 28 is actually 30, tighten/loosen the strap as you go. (or grow).

Inner liner is a bit tight but these material also tend to stretched out over time and lost the elasticity, so tighter now but it will still be fine later, only wear them when riding. However for those who do feel too tight that cuts circulation, yeah, no comment there.

I wish the zipped pocket is larger for a wallet. It’s probably would fit a credit card size wallet, fine, time has changed. lol. Overall, a legit MTB shorts. Highly recommend them.

Overall I really like these pants, they are the perfect weight for the PNW mid fall – early spring. Very comfortable to ride in, they are not water proof, but shed water and muck better than expected.

This is more personal than product – I am at the lager end of the 36 size range, and these go on a bit tight in the legs, then relax after a short time. This also means the adjustable waist loosens too, leaving me with pants that tend to ride VERY low.

Not Plummers crack low but low. I tried these in a 38 and they fell off my hips! The side zip pocked could be a little larger, but a standard phone fits without impacting the ride. The two hand pocket are deep, but not cavernous.

The bottom cuffs fit nicely and do their job well. If you really want to they allow enough stretch to squeeze knee pads on. I would buy these again and just might get a pair in black.

This is the only biking shorts I’ve come across that fit perfectly. The waist sizing is spot on. The crotch and but area not druppy and doesn’t catch when going back and forth across the saddle when mountain biking.

With other shorts I’ve crashed because of short-saddle-snag. The length is perfect, not too long nor too short. The material and stitching seem to be primo quality. The padded lining is the best I’ve come across that comes with the shorts.

Plus, the wild colors really pop. Everyone knows its me riding. This was money well spent for a product that truly has value. These shorts were thoughtfully designed for mountain biking. Believe me, I live in Colorado and ride the mountains every chance I get.

I first ordered a Medium which is my usual size (6/8) and they could zip up and technically fit, but tighter than wanted for riding. I returned and ordered a Large and had to double check that I hadn?t mistakenly been sent a Medium again.

They still hugged more than I?d like. Not sure whether to try an XL or not. I like the quality and look of them but they definitely run small.

I don’t like my “baggies” to actually fit baggy and these shorts work perfect for me. Enough length to avoid any gap, relatively slim cut to avoid snags on seat, nicely placed zippered pockets, lightweight and so far they are holding up.

I’ve had one crash where I wadhed out and slid on my hip and they held up fine. I’m 5’10” 165lbs and wear size 32 pants. Bought size 32 and they fit perfect. My only gripe is with the liner. There are no silicone grippers at the legs and they have a tendency to bunch up.

Not a deal breaker but worth noting.

I like “baggies” but I have had a hard time finding the right fit for longer rides and agressive singletrack. For me the main issue has been keeping the shorts in place while repeatedly getting out of the saddle.

Also on longer rides I have found other shorts to chaffe at the waist or bunch in bending areas. These shorts have resolved all of these issues. They are super comfortable. The adjustment band is easy to adjust and it stays put.

The adjustment sliders are small enough and soft enough so they will not pinch your skin while bending in any direction. The fit around the legs is appropriately tapered so there is no flapping around in the wind or heavy feeling on long sweaty rides.

The best thing I can say about the pockets is that I do not notice them adversely affecting the comfort of the short in any way; I have not used them to carry anything. The liner comes seprately, so you can find one that suits you.

I had high hopes for these shorts. The material itself is very light and stretchy, but it’s substantial enough not to flag around like a pair of running shorts. I put them on, and they felt like they would provide zero resistance when pedaling which is great.

But as I sat down on my saddle, I heard about a dozen small pops. I looked at the shorts, and seams all over the place had broken and the seams were open. Yes, I bought the correct size. I took them off immediately and inspected them.

It looks like the material can stretch a whole lot, but the stitching has no room for stretch and no give. And since they were simple straight seams, the shorts started to come apart instantly. Disappointed in these.

I think with some work on how they are dewn, they could be great. Otherwise, it’s a hard pass for me.

These shorts are a great purchase. Lightweight and breathable, and they have plenty of flex ? no compromised range of motion here. The zippered pockets keep the chapstick and car key in check. Velcro straps on the waistband allow me to fine-tune the fit.

The cherry on top is how sharp they look!.

Doesn’t wick away sweat. Absolutely. After 30 minutes of training your sitting point will be wet, and 30 minutes more you will have multiple calluses, and can’t continue your training. I have other shorts (local german brand), so I have something to compare with.

They costed me ~10-15 euros more, but they worth triple price comparing to this Triban nonsense. FWIW I have two Triban jerseys, and like both of them. Even though the item is cheap, it’s still waste of money, because it’s absolutely unusable for its direct purpose.

Maybe only if you use it for commute, which I doubt someone want to commute wearing sport shorts.

As stated on the ad for these, they are for beginners. They aren’t great at staying up though, as soon as you lean forward to cycle, they roll down at the front so you’ll be fixing them at every stop.

The pads are good for short distances, I find myself riding 20 to 40 miles though so they’re not great for me. I would suggest bib shorts to prevent the rolling at the front and maybe better padding.

Great little pair of shorts, padding is decent for my needs – either half hour to work and back or one hour continuous. Definitely best in summer but they’re thin enough that you can wear them under another pair of unpadded leggings for colder weather.

Bought a size L as no M-L was available in my local store but they’ll be fine unless I lose weight due to the type of material – definitely stick to your true size if possible though. I’m a 14 for reference.

Will definitely repurchase when needed.

This is an initial review after one ride. Material feels very high quality. Thin and relatively breathable but tough. Pockets are ok. I wish they had normal side pockets but whatever. Fit is medium-long, but short to medium for mountain bike shorts.

I’m 6′ with longish legs and standing they graze over the top of my knee caps. Haven’t tried with pads yet but I think some shorter ones will gape, most wouldn’t. Only fit complaint is I would like a slightly higher rise.

They aren’t low per se, but another half inch would be perfect. Waist is true to size.

I bought these for my husband. He normally wears about a 32/33 in pants, I purchased size 33 for him – not too tight, not loose, good fit. They have nice pockets but not too many pockets. I’ve washed and hung them to dry several times now, they wash up great and are dry by the next morning for another ride.

You can’t go wrong with Patagonia, these are quality mountain bike shorts for a great price compared to the other mountain bike shorts I’ve purchased for my husband. And as always, Altitude Sports is our go to place to purchase sporting goods.

I ordered these on a Sunday evening, they were shipped out first thing Monday morning and to my front door on the west coast by Thursday! Super fast shipping! Highly recommend these shorts, my husband loved them so much he’s asked for another pair.

These shorts are extremely comfortable, very light fabric, length just above the knee. The elastic at the waist is perfect, tight enough to hold the shorts in place but not so tight that it binds. Only drawback is the pockets – there are 2 front and one rear, and the rear is the only one that secures, with a button closure.

Would have liked maybe one more secure pocket to keep stuff from flying out on the trail. Hasn’t happened yet and not a total deal-breaker but prefer to not take the chance.

So many things are wrong with these shorts. First, the fabric in the waist adjustment is way too big. These are basically one size fits all, so for a medium waist there is tons of fabric folded over.

Next, because there is all this fabric folded right by the pocket I mistake the fold for the pocket all the time. Also the bottom of the fold pops out making a dorky point popping out on your hips. Also no elastic in the waistband, BUT there is a snap button and no Velcro so every time you bend over or crouch the button pops open.

So you always have to wear a belt which is really uncomfortable with, again, all that fabric bunched up on your hips. I wish I would have returned them but it took time to realize just how much I dislike these shorts.

Oh, and also they don’t dry out very fast, might as well wear cotton.

Bought this pair for an another color in addition to the black ones I have had for awhile. I really like the combination of closing methods on these, especially the belt loops. Other closing methods are fine if they work for you, but a belt is best sometimes.

I also like the plentiful pockets for a day on the trail. On the Khaki color I got I would prefer if the side pockets were not a contrasting color, but it’s not a big deal. overall very nice short that transition from the bike to other activities easily.

The main fabric and design of the shorts are really nice. The fit is good, which is hard to mess up given there are velcro side adjustments. The downside is that there are NO vents. My other CR shorts have side slash pockets that function as vents but these shorts do not offer that.

Final note, the ultra thin mesh outer thigh pockets are a nice touch especially with the offset color, but rippin through trail with branches and stiff vegetation many shred these right off the shorts.

I went with these shorts because I wanted mountain bike shorts with a padded liner. I also like Patagonia’s repair policy. I’ve taken the shorts on a couple rides, and so far so good. They are durable, a bit stretchy, and have an adjustable waist.

I went with a size up because of other reviews (I usually wear a 32 and went with a 33) and they fit perfect, with room to get tighter or looser. What prevented the 5 star was the pockets: there is one zipper pocket on the side, which I use for my phone and it’s great, however I was there was another smaller zipper on the other side.

I have to keep my car key and phone (which I pull out a lot to check trails) and I’m worried the key is going to fall out. Also the top two open pockets feel pretty useless, I wish they weren’t there but it’s not a big concern.

The padded liner is a real winner, it’s mesh in most areas so it’s way cooler than other liners I’ve used for biking.

Ordered these based on recommendations from a friend. Couldn’t be happier with the quality of the product, the tech features like waist adjustment and zippered side leg gear (phone) pocket work great.

The liner is very high quality and the chamois is very comfortable. The liners construction is very breathable and put it to the test for several consecutive days on the bike in hot muggy weather this weekend and VERY happy.

As many reviews have said definitely order a size (or even 2) up. I wear a size 30 almost always but could barely get into the 30s. I ordered a 31 and 32 and it was a tough call which one was best and I could have easily kept both.

I ended up using the 31 as I wanted to over shorts to be a little tighter as I use these on gravel bike as well as moutain. Great product and would recommend to anyone.

Reading all the reviews I sized up to a 6 and they are too big but the excellent waist adjustment lets it work – I ordered online so too much hassle to return but def would have bought a 4 instore. I think the difference btwn the many reviewers who said they run small depends on how much butt you have, not the waist size.

The clever waist adjustment – 100x better than a fumbling with a drawstring every time you need the facilities – one can take it in up to 4″ on either side! I hooked in ~2. 5″ less on both. Lengthwise, they’re a bit long – go right to my knee.

The padding felt a lot thinner than my other shorts but gladly I didn’t notice any difference in comfort, not sure if because of material or the extra layer/friction from the shorts. Things I didn’t notice were the light colour is mesh so I feel it’s too revealing with the hip area exposed so could never wear the cycling shorts by itself.

Wished mesh was just at the bottom. The cycling shorts feel thin too so coupled with the mesh – be careful your nails don’t cause a hole! There’s a tiny bit of orange in the design – too bad they used that orange instead of any other colour in the design for the big logo at the waist, to make it subtler.

I usually wear a long tech shirt so thought it’d be covered anyway. Then noticed there’s another big one at the leg hem. Looks like they spent some time on the design of these: mesh drop pockets to reduce warmth, but full cloth in leg pocket for durability & this pocket is tacked down to back seam so pocket doesn’t flop around.

So convenient to get my phone in&out compared to the riding pouch on my bike. Was a bit worried how hot these would be but materials/design made them no hotter than my regular cycling shorts and these provide some nice cover and handy pockets for keys when running inside a store.

I just cycle for recreation/errands mostly on pathways. Def well made and on sale worth it for the 2-in-1 shorts.
