20 Best Bike Stand For Maintenance (2023 Updated)

I have used this stand several times now with my 30 lb mountain bike. The quick release at the bottom of the vertical post where it meets the feet has to be tight. But once secure, it is solid and stable, yet light in weight.

The stand works great. It is well balanced with just two feet. The two feet also allow it to be placed in a corner with no dissassembly or adjustments when not in use. That’s a real space saver. The clamp is seriously heavy duty.

It rotates 360 degrees, and grips fully in any position.

Starting with the weight, 13 pounds (5kg) makes it portable and easy to accommodate or transport, because of the foldability and easy clamp removal. The adjustable height allows you to work as high or low as you want.

As the clamp rotates 360°, you can attach the bike from the frame or the seat post. It has a steering locker to keep the front wheel fixed, helpful with brakes bleeding or keeping the alignment of steering and wheel.

The tools tray is good enough for special ones with the standard magnet for bolts. Nice aluminum finishing and great plastic fittings.

I love this bike rack. I am now able to work on my 24” Cruiser very comfortably. Holds the bike very well, easy to assemble and disassemble. Easy to adjust the height, in addition to the angle. The bar to hold the fork and wheel is an added bonus.

Makes it a joy to work/clean the bike. It also does not take up a lot of space once it’s folded. Very sturdy and easy to move around. Also had no issues with the included instructions.

Needed one right away to fox some serious derailleur misalignment – my usual method of just flipping the bike upside down was simply not viable for this kind of adjustment (2 hours of frustration drove me to shop for repair stands).

Bit pricey for me but I know rei is going to have quality stuff so decided to risk it. This is a very solid piece of engineering – nice and sturdy and heavy enough that I wasn’t concerned with it wobbling.

Setup took 5 min with the short guide included. I had the bike up and ready to be adjusted within 15 min total after unboxing. 2 hours of non-frustrating work later and bike’s all good to go. Totally worth it for all the work I do on my bike regularly and very compact folded up for storage.

I only have a narrow apartment entryway to work in and it was still not too bulky. I like that the tripod feet sit low and the main frame is nice and thick – no wobble or any other motion even with all the constant pedaling while adjusting.

I’m an occasional bike mechanic – I don’t go to races, but we’ve got 4 bicyclists in the family and rather than go broke with tune ups, two to three times per year I’ll do some maintenance or repairs.

This stand is the value point for the weekend mechanic who isn’t swapping out bike-afte-bike onto the stand. If that’s you, get the next tier up Feedback Sports Pro-Elite ($$$). Otherwise, save your money and deal with turning a knob once in a while.

My only other caveat is the weight limit, so it’s not the right stand if you’re working on large tandems or e-bikes (>65 lbs). An all around great stand! Makes me wonder how I worked so long without one!.

This is a good home stand. Far better than the Park consumer stands that are bulky and lanky when not in use. The compact folded size is great and it folds quickly and easily for the most. The problems are the clamping mechanism in the rotating/folding head and the band clamps for the telescoping pieces.

The band clamps break over time. My first stand had plastic clamps. The second one has cast alloy clamps. Stupid. If they made the clamps out of steel so they had some elasticity or a good forged alloy clamp like a seat post clamp they wouldn’t break.

I do use my stand up to 4 days per week in the summer and it wasn’t built for that. It does last a couple of seasons and last time MEC didn’t have the parts so they replaced the whole stand. I can’t complain too much other than its a pain in the butt when I need the stand and it fails in the middle of the day or a trip rendering it useless.

As mentioned in another heavy use review the head clamping mechanism wears and then starts jamming. Annoying. They could simplify the mechanisim and make this better as there is no fixing it once it starts to be a problem.

All of the pivots, pieces and lighter construction dont lend themselves to heavy ebikes, DH bikes or heavy low end bikes. Its also not suited to heavy duty work as you will feel the flex and it will cause wear in the assemblies.

Realisticly pros and heavy duty users or those working on heavy bikes frequently should look else where. Most home mechs will be satisfied.

I needed a new workshop stand after my old one annoyed me for the last time with its lack of collapsibility – it was like having a ship anchor in the garage that snagged on everything, greedily absorbed space, and wasn’t easily transported! The Park PCS-10.

2 certainly overcame these problems. Despite the description of ‘home repair stand’ which made me feel it may be a bit light and flimsy, this stand is solid and feels professional in standard. The unit takes a short while to assemble, but the result is robust and secure.

The legs fold up neatly and quickly and when collapsed, and although still a reasonable size, it props neatly in a corner or adjusts to a shorter length to go in the car boot. It is rapid to deploy, with the minimum of fuss due to the quick-release clamps.

The top tube clamp to secure the bike works well, although the shape of the jaws lend more towards circular or oval tubing, the match to my carbon bike being a little off (but still secure enough). The space and access all around the stand are good, and the tool tray, whilst very small, is useful.

I would like to see a simple handlebar stabiliser solution built-in or included. This would perfect what is already a great solution. I look forward to using outside in my garden, once the sleet, rain, wind and darkness all go away!.

Beware E-Bike users! While this stand is “rated” for up to 80 lbs. , the stand just collapsed under the weight of my 63 lb. E-Bike causing my E-Bike to crash to the ground and the impact ruined my rear derailleur.

Prior to buying this bike stand, I noticed a review by a customer who had reported the same problem. I called Park Tool and was told that they were aware of this customer review but they could not “repeat” the collapse of the bike stand in their shop.

So, with that assurance, I purchased the stand. After receiving the bike stand, I found that the yoke quick release clamp is the “weak” component and I had a few close calls (stand started to collapse but I was there to catch my E-Bike before it fell to the ground).

I determined that the yoke quick release clamp has to be tightened down EXTREMELY tightly – to the point that I struggled to get the clamp to close using both hands – in order to keep the bike stand from collapsing under the weight of my E-Bike.

Today, because I couldn’t get that clamp to close completely, I loosened the quick release clamp one quarter turn and was able to muster enough strength to close the clamp. But the yoke quick release clamp was unable to hold the weight of my E-Bike, the stand collapsed, and now I have to replace my rear derailleur.

For decades now my bicycle maintenance routine has always started with the ol’ flip-a-roo. Worse fates could befall a man, of course. but no more shall I suffer in this way! In a world where everything seems to be made cheaper and more disposable, the unboxing of the 10.

3 was a breath of fresh air. The quality of the product was immediately evident, and only proved moreso with use. This was money well spent, and if you do all your own maintenance as well, I am sure you will agree.

If I had to level any complaints at all, it would be with folded storage. While it collapses easily and reasonably compact, I have yet to find a place to store it that feels somewhat awkward.

Got a couple of these to use in place of my Rakk Stands (2. 4 mtb tires do not play well). Overall, these work great once you get used to loading & unloading your bike onto this stand. Comes with a few different tubular sleeves to fit different open style cranks.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this stand for either your mtb or road bikes, and especially if you have an mtb with larger tires Likes: 1) The sleeve allows the cranks to spin freely without basically zero friction, so you can perform light maintenance like cleaning/lubing the chain on the bike 2) Tubular steel construction is durable and has a decent heft to it.

It feels solid and secure once my 33 lb enduro bike is loaded onto it A few very small dislikes: 1) the 2 piece design is great to keep shipping cost low for the manufacturer, but when assembled, the tolerance between the base and upright arm can allow for a little lateral play.

Not a huge deal, but if the securing bolt becomes loose, sometimes it can feel a little sloppy and/or make the loading/unloading process slightly more difficult 2) If you have wood floors, you will want to either put some sort of padding on the bottom or get some rubber/foam tiles to place under the stand 3) Maybe could have a little more heft? Sometimes I find myself putting a foot on the base to keep it from sliding during the loading/unloading process.

I have two of these and use them with a Giant ToughRoad gravel bike and a Trek Checkpoint gravel bike. They are light and portable which makes them very versatile. I popped one in the trunk and took it on a month-long cross country car camping/biking trip in 2021.

At every stop, I had a stand that I could use in the camp ground, in the motel room or in the hotel bike storage room. No need to ever prop my bike up in a precarious manner. I must note that the base needs to be level.

The stand does not work well on a slope or rough ground. The area of the base is small and it will tip over if not on a level. It works with modern mountain bikes, fat bikes and gravel bikes that have a hole through the centre of the crank (the size doesn’t matter as it it comes with adaptors and can be modified to fit very narrow to very wide holes).

Unfortunately it does not work with my road bike, my partner’s hybrid, or our 20+ year-old hard tail mountain bikes, all of which do not have a hole through the centre of the crank to accommodate the stand.

I had been wanting one of these Scorpion stands for a while because I liked how compact it is and how it doesn’t require my bike frame to rest on anything and risk scratches, etc. I also liked how you could rotate the crank and do light maintenance, lubing of my chain, and so forth.

But when I received this stand I was surprised that it didn’t have any instructions on how to assemble it. It’s not rocket science and was easy to determine the correct black adapter to fit in my crank arms.

But there are also some little pins included that are supposed to go on one end but they are too long unless you bend them over. It doesn’t really seem like you should have to bend these little clips but that’s the only way they fit or are of any use.

And also if you run flat pedals there is not enough clearance to spin the cranks around without the pedals hitting the stand. So you’ll have to rig a little spacer to make it work well with flat pedals.

All in all after making my modifications and adjustments the stand works well and is stable but it seems like it should work better out of the box.

When raised to height suitable for changing tires on my medium weight bike (Trek 8. 4) the riser post wobbles enough to make it annoying if not difficult to work on the bike; a result of the ultralight design.

The stand is very attractive and the quick release fittings on the riser work well. The hinged clamp arm tightens securely with the large paddle nut and I like that the arm doesn’t have teeth between the stationary and rotating part because the more you loosen it to rotate your bike the more out of horizontal the arm becomes and you will probably have to lift your bike and take the weight off the arm for that last bit of tightening.

This is not necessarily a criticism of the folding arm, something to be aware of. This however is a criticism: I found the Slide-Lock ratchet difficult to open and close around the bike frame. For the most part I had to operate it as though the Slide-Lock function didn’t exist.

It has a rubber coated knob making it it easy to grip and turn, but I didn’t find any substantial advantage to the whole feature. Perhaps if the Slide-Lock were engaged and disengaged with the weight of the bike on the floor it would be wonderful.

Even if it were I could not recommend the Ultralight stand due to it’s lack of rigidity in the riser arm. Myself, I’ll go with the less expensive and more stable Feedback Sports Mechanic Stand. I compared the two side by side at my house.

I bought this and returned after one use. While the clamp design is good, the main flaw with this tripod design is it is very tippy. Especially when doing things like taking off one wheel. It completely changes the weight distribution and then tips over unless you rotate the legs to some position where the bike can’t tip.

Some people recommend putting sandbags on the legs, but if I pay 400+ for a bike stand I would expect it to stay standing. Only other good thing about this stand is it is compact for storage. You will be happier with a Park stand in the same price range.

I’ve been putting up with my old workstand, grumbling at it every time I used it, for years now. The final straw was using my friend’s workstand a few weeks ago – what was I thinking, using that great cast-iron lump for all these years?! So I did the inevitable research, and decided that I’d go for a ‘bench type’ stand, largely because of the flexibility they offer in terms of the working height.

The 360 degree revolving facility also seemed like a good idea. My research brought me to a choice between the Feedback Sports, and the similar Park Tools Team Issue stand. I opted for the Feedback Sports, despite the slightly higher price, and haven’t regretted the choice for a second.

The quality of the engineering and construction is just so much better than the Park Tools rival – which I’ve seen in several LBSs. Having used it a few times now, I’d certainly recommend a bench type stand over the more familiar clamp designs – the flexibility offered regarding working height is just so much more useful than you’d ever imagine!.

This thing rocks. I have a bunch of bikes including several eBikes. I needed something that could easily support 75 lbs or more. This is it. Super sturdy. Only possible gripe is that it’s pretty tall even on the lowest setting.

Not a problem for me, but smaller individuals might have some difficulty.

This stand is heavy duty but I am not in love with it. It is replacing my broken Blackburn Workstand from around 1996. I prefer the Blackburn. I think this stand is too tall. While I think the Park will be extremely durable, I prefer the discontinued Blackburn (which had cast aluminum parts that were not durable).

The clamp also spins too easily. I may modify it with a roll pin to prevent rotation. Yes it it high quality but not a homerun in my opinion.

After significant research, I finally decided to purchase PCS4-2 for my mechanical needs at home. Though not the lightest nor the most compact, the PCS4-2 is sturdy, heavy, and well-made providing easy access for repairs and maintenance.

A multitude of reviews suggest the legs can move inward when moving the stand, and owners have implemented customized solutions to prevent his from happening. I plan add some custom straps to keep the legs separated during use and prevent any unintended collapse of the unit.

Unit does not come assembled, but instructions are straight-forward and set up time is minimal. Overall, I am happy with my purchase thus far, but encourage readers to do research on the pros and cons of various makes and models to ensure the one the select meets their needs and expected usage.

I put off purchasing a repair stand for a long time given that they’re sort of expensive. Now that I have one, I highly recommend it. Tasks that were annoying or I didn’t have the patience for when I had to lean my bike against a wall or flip it upside down are almost enjoyable now.

I am using it mostly just for basic stuff (adjusting derailleurs, fixing flats, truing wheels), as well as washing my bike. The stand holds my bikes–including 30+ lb enduro bike–quite securely. It’s definitely pretty hefty and does not fold down super small.

When you do set it up, sometimes it takes a little wiggling to get the pin for the legs in all the way. If I had a garage or basement where I could leave it up all the time, this wouldn’t be an issue, but as I am in an apartment it’s a little annoying.

In retrospect, I do wish I had spent another $50 or so and gotten a lighter and easier-to-fold model, but it works as advertised and does what I need it to do, so I have no real complaints.

Finally took this out of the box and started working on my bike. For the first time, I can actually see things without contorting down to the ground or being careful that the bike will fall down while my attention is focused on something that needs it.

It unfolds and locks into place for use simply and quickly. It folds and locks into place for storage just as simply and quickly. If you have the cash to lay out for it and no other stand to date, stop thinking about it.

Just buy it! It’s light enough not to be trouble and it’s sturdy enough that it’ll support your ride while you work on it. The other reviews confirm to me that by the time you “need” something better, it’ll still be in good enough shape to pass along at a reasonable re-sale value that selling it along will be a win for you and for the new owner.

And it’ll fold down so that it takes no more room than a broom when you’re not using it. In the meantime, I won’t need to “unfold myself” after working on my wheels. And after only one session, my bike’s in better shape than it’s been in some while.

I spent a lot of time reviewing all the stands at MEC before purchasing this one. I’m surprised this one was so highly rated. Right out of the box, the set-up was a royal pain. the base requires you to push a metal pin through to secure the front two legs in place.

I spent ten minutes trying to get that pin through to no avail, despite trying every which way and angle. That is not something I want to go through every time I want to set up my stand, so I made the executive decision to return this stand and go for the next level up, which is not much more in price and is *substantially* easier to set up.

Best decision I ever made. If you are considering spending multiple hundreds on a stand that you will use for many years and plan on keeping it collapsed between uses, the additional hassle that comes with this stand and the ridiculous pin is just not worth the price difference to something better.

Drop a dime and save some time!.

So far so good. Does exactly what its suppose to do. Only hiccup I’ve had is one time the stand toppled over when removing the bike and having the tool rack loaded down with tools. Easy remedy is using a counter weight on the legs.

Problem solved. Definitely a handy tool to have.

This is a pretty light weight workstand but it is sturdy enough for most modern road bike. The tilting mechnism is quite unique and one of the most secure one I have come across. Consider greasing the joint of the work tray before putting it on cause the fitting is quite tight.

I was happy to see that this stand uses metal through out instead of a lot of plastic like others. the legs, centre pole, extension clamp and bike clamp are all metal parts. The adjustable clamp allows angle adjustment as well so clamping to top tube or seatpost is easy.

The only fault I find is that the two legs do not quite spread far enough for a real rock solid base (you can rotate the top clamp to find the best balance point) but that is the trade of with a stand that easily folds up and away like this.

The tool tray is a nice feature but is fixed in it’s height so it can get in the way sometimes when clamping in. Overall high quality stand, very pleased.

Loads of flex in the pole and legs, even with me tightening everything it is still unstable. Only plus is the head is quite good, basic but good. I’m building my own wall mount to use the pole and head and throw out the legs.

It is a good solid stand made mostly from heavy metal, but it does have a couple of problems. (I will use part names from the instructions to explain. ) First, the clamp between the “telescopic bar” and the “upright” is plastic.

It arrived broken in the box. Whoever boxed it should understand that if you put it in the box broken, the customer will remove it from the box broken. I did not return it as broken because I was able to Gorilla Glue it back together and it works fine; it clamps tight enough to hold the telescopic bar in place.

Second, the “bike support stand” (the horizontal bar at the top that holds the bike), when attached to the seat support does not grip tight enough to hold the bike in the position I set because there is too much weight from the front of the bike.

The torque causes the bike to rotate until the front wheel is on the ground. That is not enough for me to return the stand because I seldom work on the front wheel and if I do I can attach the stand to the top horizontal of the bike frame.

I think they could fix the problem by not making the “bike support stand” so smooth, give that part a sandpaper like finish or put rubber fingers inside the clamp so the part does not slip under the torque from the weight of the front of the bike.

I might rough up the stand part with sandpaper, or put small grooves in it to give the clamp something to grip on to see if that solves the problem. Third, the clamp holding the bike frame even at full tight will not keep the bike from rotating around the frame.

It is not enough for me to send the stand back, just a minor annoyance. The problem is there is smooth plastic trying to clamp a smooth metal frame. I think they could fix this by putting thin rubber pads in the clamp.

I will probably run out and get some pads to try that out. I think it is a good stand for the price. The stand itself is made from much heavier metal than I expected. It is very stable with the four legs.

I easily overcame all the issues so I kept it.

A great product at a good price. It is stable and holds my bicycle firmly without damaging the paintwork. A minor weakness (for me) is that the assembly instructions are only in German. Having said that, assembly was straightforward.

I really like this stand, so why 4 stars instead of 5 stars? The spring loaded button that keeps the stand stable when you are working on the bike is not enough. My stand was leaning forward while my bicycle was being held.

I couldn’t figure out why, and then I realized that the leg collar (where the spring loaded button goes) had slid up a few inches. I slid the leg collar back in position continued to work on my bike, and the leg collar slid again.

If the bike sways at all left or right while being worked on, the leg collar will slip. I don’t think the leg collar would slip so much that the stand would fall, but I really don’t want to take a chance.

If it weren’t for this minor issue, I would definitely rate this 5 stars. The good is this that this bike allows me to more easily perform regular bike maintenance. For the amount of money that I paid for this stand, you would expect the leg collar spring loaded button to be a better design.

I use the bike stand once a week. It is fine for chain cleaning, folds up into easy store position, and components are strong steel parts. Design is not good as it tips easily if bike is not in the correct position.

If there is a way to adjust height, I have not found it. The clamp that holds the bike is poorly designed and has come apart twice, already, while adjusting it. A part damaged in shipment was promptly replaced by manufacturer.

From the moment I opened the box, it was clear that my Park Tool PCS-10 bike stand was a top quality item. Very clear instructions ensured I had constructed the stand in next to no time whatsoever, and I was straight into putting my bike on the stand and tending to some maintenance issues I had been putting off for some time.

The stand is extremely well built, rugged and robust while, at the same time, simple to use and very easy to adjust. Balance is perfect too, allowing me scope to get to those difficult parts of my bike’s brake and gearing mechanism which have evaded me thus far.

In summary, I would very highly recommend this item in particular and, based on my experience, recommend any Park Tool product. I will certainly be buying from them again!.

Easy assembly. Requiring some preparation. Read carefully, or watch the diagram. It is advisable to collect in separate modules. The rack is sufficient for adjusting the bike and replacing components.

Its a good stable bike workstand. Relatively good value. The only negative is that the instructions to put it together aren’t clear at all. That said once I got started it went together fairly quickly.

It has a good construction with a fixed base, but it is troublesome by keeping the bike in the top caliper.

I am tall. I was looking for a tall bike repair stand to work on the family bikes. I appreciate the following features. Long, stable folding legs. Nice large pivoting feet on legs to help support and level stand.

Easy to collapse and store since I do not have a dedicated space to work on bicycles. The additional height adjusting tool tray and included easy to adjust bike hold bar are nice additions. The stand is made of smooth painted metal with metal fasteners, plastic knobs to for the friction joints.

The tubes have plastic end caps. The main tube extends smoothly and tightens to hold the clamping arm and bike. I purchased this bike to help me to bike tuning, adjustments and easy repairs such as tire replacement.

I have noted a tendency for my children’s bikes approximately 35 lbs to rotate the clamp arm up. The clamp tube is held by a plastic slit ‘T’ joint with a small knob. I have to really tighten the top know screw on the ‘T’ joint to hold the bike in a level position.

I had even removed, cleaned the top clamp tube and inside the ‘T’ plastic joint with alcohol. Then I got the clamp arm to stop tilting after tightening the small top knob. I think a little more engineering and testing this would have been a really good value and safer bike repair stand.

I have used a Park Tools Bike Stand years ago. I understand the value, price point, features and design of this reviewed bike repair stand. I would prefer a larger knob or large single level action on the bike clamp also.

For the causal cyclist this bike stand might appeal to you with the noted limitations. If you are a cycle enthusiast who regularly maintains and adjust bikes may not work for you. For the price, quality and noted limitations, this bike repair stand may be useful for you cycling maintenance and repairs.

Pros: $35 price WOW that’s low, huge footprint for stability; all steel tubing for durability; and it’s easy to set up; easy to use. There is a handlebar tie down rod and a parts tray. The clamp jaws also leave room for cables to move above and below, even when the top tube is clamped.

It’s a strong stand. this is plenty of bike stand for me. I think this will suffice for my needs. Cons: the joints are plastic (but thick plastic), and the clamp is plastic (but thick plastic), but then this is a home use rig, not a pro stand.

Also, I want to put a quick-release skewer on the clamp at some point to make it easier to clamp. I’ve a pretty heavy bike, and the stand holds it straight and the wide stance supports it easily without concern about tipping.

As long as I don’t abuse it, I think it will do what I need it to for a long time. There are also holes in the feet so that you could screw it to the floor if you want even more stability. I just bought this and there may be surprises, but it looks good so far.

I was also looking at stands that cost up to $200, but I they were not six times better, so this is a good value. And, if this one does break, I’ll just buy another and still have saved a lot of money.

I didn’t know what to expect. I read the reviews and, since I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, I took a flyer. I am surprised, amazed and incredible happy with this bike stand. Upon receiving the shipment, I noticed how heavy the box was.

It is solid and built of steel, not lightweight aluminum. It is very easy to assemble and set up. I had a bike in the stand within 30 minutes. 15 minutes of that was looking at the stand and smiling! I have used the stand multiple times in various positions and it’s stable, easy to use and adjust.

The wide base means you need space to extend the legs. I chose this over other models that had quick release clamps. since they were plastic/metal it felt like a weak point. This model has simple, easy to use threaded knobs to adjust height, extend the legs and tighten the bike clamp.

They’re solid. I would buy another one today. I’ll add some photos when I’m used the next time.

This stand is strong and stable. I used stands similar to this in professional photography, hanging large light boxes that seem would topple the stand, but it stayed strong. The same for this bike stand.

The tubes are larger than my photography stands, and they extend and collapse easily to raise and lower the clamp part. I think to make it stronger and more stable, PVC pipe could be easily adapted over each leg, which I did per my photography stand.

Bike stand and photography stands are basically the same. I did not receive a tray that attaches to the central post/column. A double -tier tray I think would work the best to keep tools and nuts/bolts separate from each other, when working on the bike, or whatever is fastened/clamped to the stand.

We needed something to park our bikes in the garage that wouldn’t require fixing anything to walls. We’d have preferred for the bikes to stand up, saving a bit of space, but after researching, this was the best option in the market in terms of quality.

I wanted something plastic-free and that wouldn’t be made in China. Got three of these and it has worked well for both cruise and race bikes. Very easy to use and can be moved around.

Like all the other reviewers, this bike stand is a KEEPER! So, got a second one — yes, it’s that good. Even works for a bike w/disc brakes, altho you have to use it on front wheel for that. Also, not mentioned anywhere, but apparently all Saris products are MADE IN AMERICA.

For me, that is a huge plus.

For my road bikes with typical rear wheels and rim brakes including my folding bikes with 20” wheels, it’s been a great stand. But more of a challenge for an e-bike with a rear hub motor as the cable to the motor gets pinched.

Good value for money. It has rubber protection to avoid scratching the inside of the pedalboard. Care must be taken not to lose the rubber protectors at the bottom because it has a tendency to come off.

It could have some more protection on the arms (in addition to the tips) that are in contact with the floor to prevent them from being scratched.

Quick and easy way to “park”, work on and store a bike without it leaning on anything. Folds up for storage. Requires a partly hollow crank. Mine fits in the cog side i. e. offside of my bike. Some bikes have the hollow section on the other side.

I think nearside fitting is more practical to give uninterrupted access to the cogs and chain for maintainance. Otherwise simple and portable gadget that works well.

Much cheaper than many other hollow bottom bracket bike stands. Makes my tube mounted stand redundant for the most part. Great for drive train adjustments and I also use it as a storage stand as my wide tyres won’t fit in my existing stand.

Worked in a shop for a few years that had nice weighted Park stands. This is not that, and it’s also 1/5 the price. For the price, this is actually a little nicer than I expected! The weak spot in my opinion is the plastic ratchet that allows you to set the angle of the bike to the ground.

It’s a plastic toothed type mechanism so if you try to rotate your heavy-ass Turbo Levo ebike it holds, but just barely, and will probably tip over. (it will) For normal work on my enduro bike it’s great.

Folds up really quickly and easily. You could add sand or something to the tripod legs to weight it down but then it’s not portable. It held my 48 lb e-bike at a relatively normal angle without a problem.

Yes it will tip over. It’s not a tripod. It’s a duo-pod 😉 Tripodding this would solve most of the usability issues but also make it heavier and more cumbersome and more expensive. I’d recommend it for weekly work but for daily work spend the money for something nicer.

I have been using this for about 4 years. I’m not a expert mechanic, but for changing tires, tubes, cleaning and lubing chains, cranks and gear cassettes its great. It can be wobbly at times, so I use sand bags on the legs to stabilize when necessary.

I store it in an old collapsible camp chair bag, which makes it easy to hang on wall hook or transport in vehicle. I use this for my 48 yr old 10 speed, 10 yr old comfort bikes(men’s and step thru) and 7 yr old Hybrids(men’s and step thru).

Highly recommend for the beginner to above average DIY’er.

A good sturdy stand, takes the weight of my eBike with easy and is quite stable. The only downside is the clamp to hold the bike can be a little fiddly, and once clamped it interferes with the knob for adjusting the angle of the bike on the stand.

This is a well designed solid little number that accommodates my 25kg ebike effortlessly and folds up once done. It doesn’t come with a tool tray however I ordered one separately which fits and serves its purpose well.

Good quality, easy to use. Needs a better rotation mechanism as you have about 45degrees between settings.
