20 Best Bike Shorts With Pockets (2023 Updated)

Been on 6 rides w/ these shorts averaging about 15 miles each of single track. I’m getting older(read slower) so for MTB rides on the local trails kitting up is a little over kill. I have always been a bib guy so I was a little worried about comfort.

They are comfortable & more importantly you are not thinking about them while you ride. I don’t use hydration packs so the pockets can hold phone, wallet, multi tool, & gel w/o getting in the way. The liner/pad is good but I would not recommend washing them snapped together as straps may be the weak link.

They seem true to size & there is pretty good adjustability w/ the Velcro straps. I got the yellow ones & like the color but I kind of feel like they are fading already. W/ that being said I have never put any cycling clothes in the dryer.

Always hang dry.

The shorts are nice for what they are but I have had 2 pairs and on both the zippers failed in very little time. I bought a pair and wore them maybe 5 times and the zipper on the pocket and fly broke.

REI exchanged them for another pair. Today I went out and the zipper on both side pockets would not close. I probably wore this pair at the very most 10 times. I wash them and hang dry them so I don’t think it’s me breaking the zippers.

Just be careful and if I were you spend a little more money on a different brand. You wouldn’t want to lose your car keys on the trail.

Awkward fit but soft. They will do for around the house but the bottom of the shorts don’t stretch and instead squeeze the area around my knee. Not sure why they wouldn’t make that elastic but it makes me feel like my fat is being squeeze and that’s never a good feeling.

I am a 12/14 and got the large. They fit fine except for the weird knee squeeze. I got the soft cotton so maybe just this style?.

I really like these shorts. They are soft and comfortable and fit nicely. The pockets are quite handy for my cell phone while puttering about the house/yard. Contemplating another pair in another color.

I really love these shorts. I bought a medium and it fits perfectly. They’re soft and fitting. High waisted which makes you look thin. The pocket holds my iPhone comfortably. I will be ordering more!

I purchased these shorts because have a similar pair (same brand, different material), which I run 3. 2 miles a day in. I love those. Full disclosure, I realize these are “yoga” pants, but I have other brands that work for me when running.

The material is very thin, but they are comfortable. After two wears the thigh area pilled up & faded. I have an athletic build 5’7, 150 pounds (size med fits great) so I’m not over weight. These shorts would probably work great if all you do is yoga & you aren’t walking anywhere unless you have legs so skinny they don’t touch anywhere when you walk.

I am very disappointed since I have an older pair that I love (which aren’t available anymore).

So you need to know these shorts have what’s called a “peach skin feel” they feel a little fuzzy and honestly they are too warm for my liking. I got them for hot days as an alternative to wearing leggings but they are thinker and warmer than my RBX leggings.

WHY? Why would you use such a warm thick fabric for SHORTS?? I’ll still wear them because they have pockets but I would’ve liked them better if they just used the legging fabric. Everyone else seems to love how soft they are.

Maybe I’m picky, maybe I’m the only one over 40. idk. They do not ride up and the medium fits me well, they’re just effing hot.

Side pockets holds my I phone 11. Material is very thin, 1 layered. So I had muffin top situations on my legs. They’re not squeezing anything together in a good way. Fine for my home workouts. I definitely would try to avoid leaving the house in them.

(5’5” 120). I got smalls. My cotton pairs from Sam’s that I bought a couple years ago are much better!!.

When I first tried these on I fell in love. They have the buttery soft feeling of the align leggings. After a few wears/washes (hang dry) the material is fading and pilling. For sizing reference I normall wear a size small or size 6 in lululemon and I ordered the size small and they fit perfectly.

Very comfortable- just wish they were slightly better quality.

I live in Arizona these are fantastic outdoor or indoor summer workout shorts especially great because they have pockets perfect for a phone. Super comfortable!!!! This length is hard to find in a good fit but also really hard to find this length with pockets for some reason.

So you will love these.

These shorts are super comfortable. The waist band doesn’t fold over or slip down and there is just the right amount of tension without feeling suffocated. My favorite feature is the pockets. iPhone fits perfectly allowing free hands when going for a run.

They look great for working out or for walking around the neighborhood.

As Rose Rich Women Biker Short High Waist Workout Shorts. These shorts are truly high waisted (goes to my navel and slightly above) with a thick waist band. The legs are long. I am 5’7”, 190lbs and with a size Large these shorts almost touch my knees.

The material is soft and thin, does show under clothing lines, but not see through. Provides some compression without creating rolls, and pocket fits my cellphone without weighing the shorts down. The waist band does roll down slightly but I think it’s more to do with my needing to Size up to an XL.

These are form fitting, not a loose fit. I wash all my synthetic bike shorts and air dry them so they don’t shrink or lose shape and these shorts are no different for me. Retains color and so far no pilling on inner legs.

Overall, good pair of shorts. Not tough enough to withstand rough terrain like in hiking, but perfect for sport wear out and about.

These shorts are ideal to wear when working out. They have just the right amount of compression- firm but not uncomfortable. The size is as described and they are a lovely rich burgundy color. I find these shorts quite flexible and breathable and they launder well with no shrinkage or color change noted.

I recommend the purchase of this product as I am more than satisfied with them myself.

I wear these bike shorts approx. 3 days a week while riding to & from work location. They are easy to care for & appear to being wearing well.

Ordered large as I usually wear 12/14 in bottoms. Was a bit loose around the waist. Medium would fit better. Soft fabric, non binding waist, mid thigh length keeps from rolling up

Didn’t open the package to try on. Length looked to short for me. Returned.

When I originally ordered a pair of these, and then another pair immediately after, these were my dream shorts. The cut accommodates for my thick thighs and butt so they don’t slide down when I squat.

Waist above my belly button, leg length that keeps my upper thighs from chafing without being constrictive. The material was soft and breathable, but supportive and sturdy. Then I ordered two more this year only to find the quality of the material reduced to something bathing-suity that does not breathe as well, does not support, is not sturdy and, as a result, gives significantly more camel toe.

The mortal enemy of any stretchy pants wearer. The material is flimsier now, bunching at my hip creases when I walk and moving around on my waist. The fit is approximately the same, but about an inch shorter so the waist is at my belly button instead of above it.

This combined with the added movement of the flimsy fabric and the rough texture of the seams used to attach the elastic to the waist band is chafing the skin on my back. Like right now. I’m currently wearing them and can feel my skin stinging after walking the dog.

I’ve already detagged, washed and worn them, otherwise I would return them. I’m angry at y’all for changing the quality so much and still selling the shorts under the same model name, thus letting people think they’re getting the same product.

This brand is dead to me until it returns my dream shorts to their former glory.

I’ve purchased about a dozen pairs of various live-in leggings and other Zella activewear over the past decade or so. LOVE!! They hold up. Fantastic quality and price. Flattering, even as I transition to officially being a senior citizen without my usual fitness level during this pandemic.

These run true to size — or even slightly bigger than similar lycra items sold by big brand mfrs. I’m so happy that they don’t cut into my aging skin at the thighs (more squishy in early 60s, even with a low-normal BMI).

I purchased XS and S, but XS actually looks better and neither cut in. (I usually wear 2P — and XS in live-in leggings, but also fit S. In other brands, I have to size up so they won’t “cut in,” even when I was athletic 50-ish.

) As with the leggings, the support/compression is fabulous and unparalleled. (Probably a little warmer than other brands. No padding. ) Prices still reasonable. Thank you, N!!!.

I sized up in these and they are more comfortable. According to the size chart, I should wear a small. I usually wear 4-6 in pants. I got medium and I am happier with the fit. I’ve loved wearing these this summer for yoga, dance, strength training.

They are my current favorite workout bottoms and I am wearing them every chance I get. They are thick like yoga pants so if I’m doing cardio, sweating and it’s a hot day, I would go with something more sweat wicking.

I love them for less sweaty workouts. They are so comfortable and I love the pockets. I got some for my daughter. She is size 2-4 and the small fits her perfectly. They could also be styled for a trendy look with bike shorts but we wear them for workouts, lounging, etc.

I’m so confused. I bought a pair of these last summer that I ADORE and wear for running all the time. When these went on sale, I got two more in black and grey. All of these are size medium. The black ones were SOOO stretchy.

The waistband was visibly stretched out? Wondering if someone tried it on and messed it up. The grey ones were SO different feeling, skin tight with no give. The fabric wasn’t the same at all. And what’s even weirder is the shorts I already have and love didn’t feel like either of these two.

So three pairs of shorts with all different material. I find that this happens a lot with ON Athletic wear. I’ve gotten the same capris in different prints and one print fabric will be totally stretchy, the other with no give at all.

SUPER ANNOYING. I wanted more of the same shorts I already have so badly!.

I’ve found that the sizing for these biker shorts isn’t consistent. In the high rise Powersoft leggings (cropped, 7/8, and full length) I wear a Large (5’8 athletic build, size 10/12 in pants). I ordered my normal size Large in these, and only half the colors I ordered fit.

I ended up getting XL in some colors, and Large in others. I’m not sure if they’re cut in different facilities or what, but if I want a new color I have to order both the Large and XL in hopes of one of them fitting.

If you can purchase in store that would probably be best, that way you’re able to find the size the fits best right away. If you have to order them I suggest ordering multiple sizes at one time, and deal with the hassle of returning those that don’t fit.

Other than the inconsistency size wise they’re great shorts. Not see-thru, great length for longer legs, and wash up well.

I didn’t want to review these right away because I wanted some time to test them out and experience their durability. But it’s still cold where I live so I will say for now that I love how they feel and they’re absolutely flattering! The materials really are a dream in terms of touch and values! I have IBS and tend to bloat most days (my abdomen triples in size by 5pm), and these still hugged me in all the right places.

So as far as aesthetics go, I highly recommend!.

According to the Girlfriend size chart, I’m a Small and thus I purchased a Small. They were super tight on the waistband when I tried to put it on. I purchased a Medium and the fit looks much better now.

I don’t like how they show VPL. I love the bright colors though – please stock more colors, Nordstrom!.

Super quality as always from Girlfriend Collective and lovely detail with the stitching. Perfect length too! Not 5 star as camel-toe is an issue but wear a liner and you’re fine.

This short is near perfect, but they are not fleece. I got the blue pair and love how soft the jersey is. These black ones are not even remotely the same material, I don’t understand why they are listed the same way.

The length on these are wonderful and I thoroughly appreciate the pockets. The waistband stays put and the slight compression is great. I recommend these, but unfortunately I’ll be returning my pair since I was expecting something different.

I am always on the hunt for the perfect pair of biker shorts, and these definitely hit the mark! I am in-between sizes L and XL, so I decided to go with the XL and was very happy with that decision. They are stretchy but not overly, and I like to be comfortable! The pockets on both left and right sides are a huge win and fit an iPhone 12 perfectly.

I bought these shorts in the hope that they would comfortably accommodate my phone, and they definitely did! My phone fit snugly in the pocket but was easy to access when I needed it. Like all tasc products, these shorts are made of cool, breathable, comfortable fabric that washes beautifully.

My new favorite bottom for the summer. Same comfort as leggings, but above the knee length is cooler. Still has the convenient pockets which are perfect for dog walks – phone in one, poop bags in the other.

Wish they came in more colors.

Really like these shorts for working out. They are comfortable and breathable, exactly what I was looking for. However, there are spots starting to pill after just 2-3 washes. This is disappointing and an outlier compared to other Tasc products I’ve had much longer.

They’re comfortable and — most importantly — stay put while they’re on. My girls actually prefer the longer length for gymnastics rather than the shorter tumble shorts. Don’t look any further, these are great.

Good fit, great swim option if your kid hates wedgies from bikini style swim bottoms! Some growing room for my 7 year old that fits most M 7/8 size shorts.

I bought these shorts having had a similar pair from here for years and absolutely loving them. The fit is really nice on these and they’re comfortable, however, they show sweat patches! I’ve never had a pair of shorts of leggings before which have shown sweat so I’m confident it’s this specific material.

Such a shame.

I was a little apprehensive about wearing cycle shorts as I never thought I had the figure/legs for them. But these shorts are the best I’ve ever tried! They’re flattering, they’re practical, they’re comfortable and they’re cool.

These shorts are everything I look for when wanting a short to run in. I love this length, they stay put through my movements, and the pocket keeps my phone secure through each step. They fit really nice in all the right places.

I also like the stitching at the bottom of each leg, as it seems more durable to make the shorts have a longer life.

Fantastic as always, great quality, but they were a tad too long for me so I returned. Unfortunately, I have a larger booty & the curves shorts are too short in the black on me. I’m holding out hoping bombshell makes these exact shorts w/a 3 1/2- 4in inseam.

I am not usually a fan of biker shorts, but knowing that Bombshell does everything better, so I decided to give these a try and they are great. Bombshell worked their magic on these biker shorts and they are hot, not frumpy the way biker shorts usually look.

I don’t know how you do it, Bombshell, but keep it up! I’m 5’4″, 125 and the small is perfect.

Very nice. Ensure you buy your actual size. I purchased one size bigger, thinking the spandex would be to tight and it was not. Again, purchase your actual size. Overall, the shorts are well made and great to wear while exercising, very comfortable.

The best feature of these shorts is the pull tabs on each side of the waistband that allow for a perfect fit. The inside of the waistband is very soft. The shorts have two front pockets which are very deep.

I would prefer traditional pockets because I like to put my hands in my pockets when walking or standing around. I wear them around town rather than on the bike. Still wearing traditional cycling shorts and jersey for all of my riding since that’s what feels most comfortable.

Traditional women’s walking shorts are usually too big for me so I bought three of these shorts because of the adjustable waist.

I am 5’10, 165lbs and bought these in a size large. Unfortunately I cannot return them because I rode in them, but they are not the short for me. They are ultra low rise and the adjustable waistband does not help keep them up – I was worried the whole time that my behind was showing.

They are super tight across the hips as well without much give. Maybe I just needed to buy an XL, but I am usually a Med or Large in Specialized for all other clothing items. These shorts might work for a woman who doesn’t have curves.

I bought the medium size- I am 6’1”, 160#, 32” waist. The shorts extend just to my knees. So when I am on my bike the length is perfect. The zipper left front pocket is large enough to hold my IPhone securely.

The inner short which contains the chamois is held in with two snaps which makes it convenient to remove so you can wash them separately. The one button fly eliminates the need for a cumbersome zipper.

I’ve been looking for a bike short that’s cute and comfy and the Champion Athletics – Sport Bike Short is perfect! I ordered size large and the fit suits my frame perfectly. I’m 5’2 and carry a little extra weight (that’s why I’m biking) and the high waist style did not roll down while I was being active , it has great stretch and breathable compression fabric and the length of the short fell right above my knee.

I love the look of the logo along the leg and there’s also a pocket for your phone! Super cute and trendy! I have the shorts in black but I plan to purchase additional colors. You can wear them for any type of exercise!.

Absolutely awesome shorts. Run larger than black ones. But I am only happy about that. I think the fabric in blue color is simply stretcher. They look and wear awesome. Bought leggings in the same pattern and color.
