20 Best Bike Seat For Seniors (2023 Updated)

I can’t believe how comfortable this seat it. It has changed my riding habits. I have a mountain bike and it had a stock seat that was ok to me. After about an hour of riding my but would start hurting.

With this new seat I rode for over three hours with no soreness. I can’t believe that this seat made such a big difference. I have started to ride more often and ride alot further with this new seat.

My three year old spin bike only got an occasional dust off, was too uncomfortable to workout with due to the racing style bike seat. When I saw this I jumped on it—felt certain it was the solution to my problem.

It was, and is…perfect! The only thing I’d correct is the tool that comes with for assembly. Best you use your own tools, as the one you’ll receive looks like a ninja throw dart! :-/.

If you are a frequent biker, don’t buy this! because the tip of the saddle hits the side of your thigh when your back is bent a little bit. This saddle is designed for cruise bikes meaning that your back should be completely straight all the time.

The use can be that you wanna bike once a week and you want to be completely upright. But if you are a frequent biker that use your bike for daily commutes, it’s very common for your back to be bent a little, and I think the commute bike seat of Schwinn might work for you.

I’m a size 16, 37 year old women and was getting back pain and rear pain when riding my trek mountain bike. This is seat is awesome. Wide but huge to the point that you lose dexterity on the bike. The way it’s shaped has me sitting more upright than my standard seat so I no longer feel any pain.

I was able to ride further in less amount of time and didn’t feel as tired and sore. Putting this on my mountain bike basically made it into a hybrid mountain cruiser which for me is perfect. I ride about 5 miles a day with my 64 year old father who says he wants one now too! 10/10.

I’ve owned and loved the related product, the Serfas 921V for years on my hardtail MTB, so when I picked up a Specialized Diverge recently, this saddle seemed worth a shot. I rode with it during the Melburn Roobaix on the weekend over some pretty rough cobblestones and at the end of the ride my backside was still good to go.

For context I’m a 65kg rider, who likes riding a combination of sealed and gravel/dirt paths. While I’m at the lighter end of the scale, I’m also quite skinny around the sit bones. Combined with an aversion to wearing padded shorts, firm saddles used to leave me feeling quite sore on both the squishy bits and the sit bones at the end of a long, bumpy ride.

This saddle gives me none of that. I’m also running 700x30c tyres at 50psi to help soften the ride a little, so your mileage may vary if you’re a much heavier rider, or running much higher pressures.

If you’re already riding with padded shorts but need a bit more, then this might be what you need.

Seriously. I used to dread getting on my bike because of that hard little saddle that would numb out my intimate parts and dig into my bone! Now, I’ve forgotten all about that fear and I can hop on my bike unhesitatingly and spend all day on it.

Painful saddle just isn’t an issue anymore. post-ride pain isn’t a thing, and dreading getting on my bike the day after a long ride also isn’t an issue anymore. You know a saddle is perfect when you NEVER, EVER have to think about it! I couldn’t be more satisfied, honestly.

After buying a new bike I knew I had to replace the original saddle. It took a bit of searching to find this saddle. I knew I wanted one because I liked it so much on my other bike. Also glad that it is not vinyl covered- would be horrible for hot weather.

Delivered within the time frame promised.

This is my third saddle in 17 months. I just hit the 5000 mile marker and have used it for about a week. I’d give it 4 1/2 stars. It’s a marginable improvement over the last one, which was a definite step up from the original.

I moved from a virtually flat, stock Moab saddle to a much more sculpted Bikeroo model. After 3000+ miles on it, I felt the need for a change. I checked reviews, and the well-rated Respiro looked like a good improvement.

You can see, just by looking at it, that it is more accommodating to the male physique. And so I say, while not perfect, I am glad I have bought and installed it. The short time I did use it, I could tell that it felt better.

Another step in the right direction.

Ok so I formerly have owned the $180 selle bike seats, and they don’t hold a candle. I am an avid cyclist, and ride aggressively, and the narrow and tapered cutouts of my other bike seats were not comfortable (still lots of pinching, shifting around, etc.

, you get the idea). This seat however, is next level. I have only gone on one 15 mile ride in it, but by that point I usually have discomfort/pinching on my other gusseted seats, but had zero discomfort on this one.

I am not one to skimp out on expensive bike seats, because they effect your posture, and therefore your bones and muscles and healing big time. But this one is only $70 and is the best seat I’ve ridden on.

Wow! Virtually no pain after 30 miles and 900 feet elevation! Usually around 20 I get unbearable tailbone pain which affects my pedaling. Love the cutout, it relieves ALL pressure in my tailbone and lower back.

This seat is designed to lean more forward. The only discomfort I felt was a little in the crease between my legs, which was relieved when I leaned forward. So glad I bought this and excited to see how far it takes me! I am 5’4 120 pounds.

I purchased the Cloud-9 Cruiser Anatomic Saddle for my Aventon Pace 350, even though the original Aventon seat that comes with the bike is pretty nice. The Cloud-9 does offer a slight upgrade, though.

The “love canal” indentations make for a more comfortable riding experience, especially on long rides. I can go for 30 miles without any of the annoying “boy parts numbness” that typically sets in after and hour or two in the saddle.

My wife liked my Cloud-9 so much that she bought one for her own bike. She reports back that the saddle is equally comfortable for female riders. The only downside is the stitch & trim work. The material for the seat is fastened underneath by several big, ugly staples and the material has been trimmed sloppily, to say the least.

This is an odd place to cut corners, as the rest of the craftsmanship seems top notch. Granted, you can’t see the shoddy workmanship without actually removing the saddle from the bike, but you’d think they could do better than this.

The original Aventon seat, by way of contrast, offers solid craftsmanship all-around. But in the final reel, it’s the butt that makes the call, and mine say the Cloud-9 is more comfortable. And despite the poor trim work, it seems durable; I’m sure it will last many years.

This bike seat has everything going for it (wide, well padded, good quality), except those springs, IMO, could stand to be a bit “springy-er”. I weigh in at 215, and when I sit on the Cloud-9, the springs barely flex at all.

At least, not that I can tell. That being said, this is definitely a more comfortable seat than the one that came on my bike. I would say it is worth the money, but could be even more comfy if it weren’t so stiff.

Still glad I bought it, though. My wife got one, too, and likes it a lot.

We upgraded the seats on our e-bike with a Cloud 9 seats. Love them. What a difference. Nice cushioning for taking road bumps. I am still debating if we are going to need seat post suspension to add more shock absorbing.

Note: the seat mounting bar of the CLOUD 9 were a bit too wide and I could not attach them to the seat post. So we took the bikes to a professional bike shop and they were able to mount C9 securely on our RAdMission e-bikes.

I had been using the two piece seat on my exercise bike to relieve prostate pressure. But, that caused problems with nerves making contact with the very small pressure points , that make contact with the seat.

So I opted for the largest seat I could find and reduced the pedaling time. It is comfortable and there is ample room to keep repositioning and shifting your body when needed.

the seat isn’t that comfortable. really not enough firm padding. I was disappointed, and couldn’t return without paying $20 UPS. that is almost the cost of the seat. lesson learned, cheap cost cheap product.

Very comfortable seat, lots and of support. It’s a tiny bit noisy over bumps but I did install this seat on a fat bike. If your a bigger guy like me who wants a comfortable seat for a bike, this one is the way to go.

I have not been able to ride my bike comfortably for many years. As a young teenager I could tolerate the narrow racing bike seats, but even as I reached 18/19 years old the seat started to hurt more and more.

I put up with it through my 20s and 30s while riding less and less. Now that I”m 40, I have no desire to ride if I can barely sit. I finally decided to get a big wide seat so I can enjoy riding again with my kids.

This Giddyup seat is awesome. I can finally ride in comfort again. I like the red light too.

The bike seat is well made, comes with a cover for rain proofing, LED back lights (with replaceable battery spot), and a reflective ankle wrap to protect pants from the bike chain. The seat is much more comfortable than my prior two seats.

Working with food requires a hat. This is the best one I’ve ever had. The venting on top helps keep me cool in a hot kitchen. Awesome, high quality product.

A Terrific Seat with great comfort. Perfect for longer rides and for those off road treks especially for casual riders. A massive difference to the seats that generally come with bikes which are always hard.

I have one of these seats on my other bike, Good saddle, Was expecting a mens saddle and when it came it was a womans saddle. Probably will resell it and get a mens. They are nice saddles.

Purchased this seat recently and installed it on my road bike. It is a comfortable seat, easy to install and adjust to one’s preferred position. Good quality seat at a reasonable price.

Excellent quality, very comfy saddle. The bottom is happy on long trips, and that makes the ride so much more pleasurable.

The Daway C99 wide seat is definitely better than a regular mountain bike seat. It is far more comfortable on the buttocks after a long ride 1 hour plus. Definately would recommend for all mountain bike riders.

This has to be the most advanced bicycle seat out there. Comfort #1. Style #1. Quality #1. If you are looking for the best seat for your cruiser, look no further!

Comfortable and safe

Def more comfortable then the stock seat, def not as comfortable as I would like it to be, but im happy with it for the price and it looks great. Be sure you use two batteries in the light or you will be one of the ones complaining about how the light doesn’t work lol.

This saddle is very good. It is very comfortable and also has a low profile for the more competitive people among us. Mind you, this is not a saddle to make extreme competition with, so if you’re planning to do the ‘Tour de France’, you can skip it.

When i first tried it, i thought it was a bit too hard and thin. This is normal for the first 5 minutes or so. As your rump warms the gel in the saddle, it becomes a lot more comfortable as the gel fit your unique form.

The sharp decline in the center permits long sitting and prevent the dreaded numbness down there! Also when riding outside, the gel seems to absorb most bumps in the road and you barely feel them! Quite amazing for such a thin amount of gel.

The saddle itself is very thin compared to normal saddles with spring. I actually had to raise my saddle by more than 3 inches to be at the same height i was before. I’ve been riding it for a month or two and i saw no change, but it might be different in a year or two.

Oh and the price is awesome! One of the lowest priced saddle to boot! And to put the ‘cerise on the sundae’, it looks pretty good. Now stop reading and buy this NOW, you’ll thank me later.

I rode a couple of thousand miles on this saddle before it finally gave up the ghost. It’s comfortable for long rides, in a medium upright position (I have a flat-bar touring bike). I found it nice and soft, but not too wide.

The one thing that wasn’t so good was that the outer layer isn’t very tough. It was waterproof until it got a bit snagged, and then the snag opened up until the gel started coming out. at which point I replaced it with the same make and model, because I liked it so much.

For the price, I would say it’s good value.

My old saddle broke and I was looking for a new one. I purchased saddle online and I was delivered in a few days. So I got a chance to test ride my new saddle and I have to say that I’m impressed with the quality and the results.

The saddle was quite comfortable to sit on for the duration of 80km straight and felt no pain at anytime. Nice padding. Now I will say there are cons. Of course the saddle is heavy than most on the market.

The leather kinda stick to my shorts, but I think this will go away once the saddle is fully broken in.

After using my bikes with factory saddles and becoming sore and painful after only a few miles I decided to try a different saddle. I read which guide and they said these are good and comfy so I got a second hand one.

Never looked back as they are wonderful and the soft foam is very comfy, the build quality is excellent and strong also they are only a fraction heavier to the original saddle. I can ride for miles now without saddle sore or a broken backside.

A good saddle is a must when you distance ride Hope this helps I now have one on each of my bikes, road and off road.

Very comfortable without looking like a sofa. Only slight drawback is that the rails dont allow as much forward adjustment on the seat post as I would like.

Last March I bought a vintage 1981 Raleigh Reliant. The original seat, (37 years old), was squeaking. So I bought this seat. It felt fine. Five months later, this seat started squeaking too. I’m very disappointed.

This is the second Bell product I purchased recently that failed miserably. (I went through 6 inner tubes in a week…. with no puncture in the outer tire. ) I think Walmart should reconsider their arrangement with this vendor, (or insist on tighter quality controls).

Bicycle saddle comfort is a very individual thing. What’s comfortable for one may be horrible for the next. I personally found this saddle to be as comfortable as some saddles I own that I paid over a hundred dollars for.

I’ve only ridden this saddle on a few twenty mile rides, but it’s been good so far. I’m a six foot, two hundred forty pound guy, btw. If it holds up to me, it should hold up to most. Excellent saddle, especially for the price.

I thought the seat might improve the ride enough that I would keep the bike. Seat was really good! Im in my 60s and nothing replicates the comfort of my semi recumbent bicycle. Ill keep the seat as a back up and ditch the collapsible bike.

Awesome saddle!!! I had been riding a Fizik Arione saddle for the past few years, I recently added tri-bars to my Specialized Tarmac SL4 for Triathlon. The Arione saddle created a lot of discomfort in the soft tissue area and created a lot of numbness after riding in aggressive or TT positions.

I decided to try the Sitero saddle. It is incredibly comfortable! No pressure points when riding in an upright position during long climbs, and it is very comfortable when in TT position. It took me a few rides to get used to the wider nose, but it is also extremely comfortable in the TT position for long periods of time.

I have used the saddle for over 300km now and have not experienced any discomfort. I would recommend this saddle to anyone who has experienced soft tissue discomfort when transitioning to triathlon or for anyone who does not like narrower saddles!.

Terrific Saddle, finally solved my problem with my brand new bike. I had purchased a Specialized all carbon bike and the stock saddle was just killing me. I even paid and had the bike professionally fitted and was told to give the stock saddle “some time” to get used to.

After several months I finally through in the towel and could no longer take the pain. Note, I’ve been riding for over a decade and had never had this problem. Well, the feel of the bike completely changed when I switched out the saddle with the Bontrager, now it literally feels like butter.

The saddle is super comfortable and yet still light and sporty. I even went back to the bike fitter and had it fine tuned, the fitter was impressed with the saddle as well. I highly recommend giving this saddle a try, it’s one of the best ones I’ve ever had, especially for the money.

I bought this for my Diamond Back Over Mountain bike to replace one that was just plain uncomfortable. I used to work in a bike store, back in the days of leather brooks saddles being the go to one. We had a saying that either the rider or the seat would break in at 100 miles.

I honestly do not think it will take that long for this seat. I road for a little over an hour last Sunday morning and it felt pretty good for most of the trip. I would say the more I ride the more we will get along just fine.

Its comfortable from the get go and not too heavy. Looks good on my bike as well. I would recommend it and will buy another one for an old but good mountain bike I’m converting to a fixie when the time comes.

I bought a trek mountain bike and was using the Bontrager seat that it came with for the first month or so. And wow my butt was sore!! I didn’t want a huge cushy foam seat, but something a little more comfortable and with some pressure relief.

I tried this seat out, and it has been great. Paired with my padded bike shorts, I rarely have a sore butt anymore. This purchase was worth it.

This seat really supports my thiccy Minaj body unlike the factory seat that comes with Specialized’s Rockhopper. I’m 6’3 and weigh 325 lbs. It has plenty of cushion and doesn’t contrast the styling of the bike.

The original seat is not wide enough & very firm. This new combo is better than the original seat. Bike riding after 40yrs will take time to become comfortable again. This seat combo is a gd start.
