20 Best Bike Saddles For Comfort (2023 Updated)

Most teens would not be happy with a padded bike seat for their birthday gift, but my daughter loved this gift! We have taken up biking as a family activity, often biking 5-10 miles on the weekends. My daughter can now ride long distances without discomfort, making our family outings much more fun! This seat is super comfortable and easy to install.

I highly recommend it (the advantage of this seat versus a cheaper memory foam bad is that you know it will fit any bike)!.

I just complete a 5 day 237mile fully loaded bike tour on a mix of roads and trails with this seat. It totally eliminated my issues with “soft tissue” soreness. I did have some soreness at the back, top of my thigh, my leg was hitting the bike seat there, I might be able to adjust the seat to eliminate this.

It was way more comfortable than my Brooks B17 short seat. I am sure it will not be as durable as the Brooks, but it still looks and feels like new at this point and it rained all day on the last day.

I ride a bike all day at my job and was looking for relief from sit bone pain. This saddle was really good at absorbing shock and cushioning my sit bones, but I really wish it had a cut out rather than a depression.

Unless the nose is tilted very far downward, the depression collects a pool of nasty sweat and I still experienced compression and hot spots in the front. I wish they made this same saddle, but with a full cut out to relieve that pressure and keep sweat or rain from pooling.

This is a great bike seat that is comfortable and has the hidden storage area that unless you know it’s there it hides away anything you store inside it. Though the inside area isn’t all that large, It will hold smaller items, like a tire repair kit and tools in case you have a flat while riding.

Most people won’t know the storage is even there. Storage area does not lock but will not open while riding.

This seemed like a lovely seat until I actually sat on it with shorts. If you look at the picture, there’s a hard plastic part that comes out on each side. When you’re sitting on the seat, that hard plastic digs into your tush! It’s so uncomfortable.

I’m certainly no supermodel stick insect, but I’m also not a heavier than average woman, squishing down the seat unusually deeply. I’m definitely returning this. The design needs to be reviewed.

I bought this saddle to replace a not very comfortable factory saddle on my upright commuter bike. It is very comfortable and a huge improvement over the factory saddle that allows me to enjoy my commute much more.

I like the simple, understated looks and low price – don’t have to worry about this saddle being stolen off the bike while it’s parked. My only complaint is that the vinyl is, as stated, waterproof – but the seams will allow water through, and the foam inside the saddle will absorb quite a bit of it, squishing it back out through the seam once you sit on the saddle.

Just have to cover it up when it rains. Overall, an excellent saddle at a price that is very hard to beat.

I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable this saddle was, considering its rock-bottom bargain price. I basically wanted something comfortable enough to replace my racing-style saddle on my Miele trail bike.

I did not wish to go overboard and spend upwards of $50 or more (for my 7-year old “beater bike”). This saddle was the perfect compromise between quality and price. As I’ve only had the saddle less than a week, I already noticed a great improvement in my riding comfort.

The saddle is great at absorbing the little shocks and bumps that you’d normally expect with riding in the city. Depending on your riding style, it might take a bit of adjusting before you can actually get the right balance for fit.

I preferred to keep mine adjusted at 180 degrees. If you’re on a budget but still want great comfort, buy it!.

This is pretty much the same as my previous Velo Webspring saddle. The padding was a bit firmer although that could just be due to the age of the Velo, the main difference is the cover material. On this it is a bit rubbery and grippy while the Velo had a smooth vinyl surface.

This makes it a bit more difficult to slide on and off, or backwards when braking downhill, as you need to lift more weight off first but it isn’t really a big deal, I’ve no plans to trade it just because of that.

Both this and the Velo are exceptionally comfortable, genuinely unisex and a good size both in width and length for adult cyclists. The springing is a boon over bumps on an MTB with no suspension set up more for street use, yet does not seem to detract anything noticeable in performance.

The extra height over unsprung saddles is useful for me, I would need a longer seat post otherwise. I had a cheaper sprung saddle without the Webspring system, just a gel padded solid plastic base, and it was nowhere near as comfortable even though it was very similar in size and form.

The other unsprung saddles I’ve used in recent years have been quite uncomfortable for anything more than occasional brief use.

The web spring design and gel seat cushion makes a comfortable saddle. With further use the comfort factor should improve, with a little tension being released from the underpad springs.

Fitted it same day it arrived and used every day since for my 5-6 mile ride and found it really coped well with all the road bumps and the ridges in the cycleways (lifted by tree roots). The comfort of the seat has helped me do more cycling than I have done in years.

I do not have a lot of time in these saddles yet because it was the end of the year when I got them on my bikes, but so far, so good. I mountain bike pretty hard and the Silverado is easier to shift around on than my old saddle (WTB Speed V).

I was worried about less cushion and narrower seats, but my tolerance for time in the saddle its really about the same. I put a Comp on my road bike and a Pro on my new mountain bike. The titanium version is comfortable too, although my new mountain bike is full suspension and the old one is a hardtail.

That may make a difference. Further, bike shorts with a good chamois make a huge difference and when I am tooling around on the bike without it I can tell the seat is harder than the Speed V. I think the cheaper Comp version seems a bit more cushioned than the titanium one, but the differnce is subtle.

I have found saddle selection to be quite a difficult endeavor, so simply not being irritated by a change seems to be a big deal as I always came back to my beat up Speed Vs. I noticed a lot of bike manufacturers using Silverado seats and liked my cheap Speed V more than the Prologo (probably Scratch 2 model) that came on my road bike.

I’d say I like the Silverado better than the Prologo as well and I think that on my mountain bike, the ease of movement is worth the change.

I love taking long rides on my bike, but I do not like the bike seats that I have used previously. They always end up hurting my body after. I was able to easily install this on my Schwinn bicycle with no hassle at all.

The Schwinn Commute Pathway foam bike saddle fit perfectly on my bike. I live near a very busy street ,so when I ride my bike in the evenings into the night it is dangerous without proper lights. The LEDS on this saddle are fantastic.

The LEDS are bright that anyone in their vehicle can see you. I loved that it isn’t just a small square like I have on my other bikes. This one is all across the back of the bike seat. It also has the off, on and blinking light setting.

Very easy to access button on even when you’re on the bike as it sits right below the seat on the edge. Very basic, but it’s great. What’s wonderful and convenient is that you dont have to buy extra rear lights for your bike.

I have some for my other bikes and sometimes the light will fall on their own or loosen over time and have to be readjusted. This one doesn’t give me any of those issues at all. The foam seat is also so easy to clean after use too and the foam will go back to it’s original form after you’re done riding.

I needed to replace my new bike’s small seat for a nicer more comfortable seat I found after searching, this Schwinn padded foam seat with LED lighting around the rear of the seat. I am very happy with my seat.

it is just the right size, quite comfortable. The lighting worked as I rode my bike back from the bike store. The lighting is a nice feature. it operates by battery. I noticed a few of the lights were not on When I arrived home I noticed the lights went out.

I prayed to know the issue. I learned it has a round battery. I turned my bike upside down. Unscrewed the battery area Hit the button. and the lights came back on. closed it up. turned bike back up. Pressed the button.

LED lights worked Tried it again. It did not light up It seems to have a gliche. I will locate the issue. I really recommend this seat. As I searched for a replacement seat. I found many oversized seats.

to big for my bike or need. You will like this seat. but I think this also is individual. depending on a persons size The lighting is a nice feature. I was offered a new seat per the lighting issue but it works.

just need to locate the issue. I love the Schwinn seat. Perfect size and comfort. Recommend it as a replacement seat to the thin seat which many manufacturers put on new bikes. Thank You Walmart. always a happy customers.

The subject of bike seats/saddle is a tough one. Each person is different and needs to find what works for them by either trying different seats or getting measured/fit at a shop and buying what they recommend.

It also requires time in the saddle. There is no way around this. I am a tall, big person and this is the most comfotable seat I have used so far. After 400 miles, it is still my fav. I tried the narrower, harder seats that all the narrow people recommend, but the pain never went away, even after weeks of riding.

I also tried the cheaper, soft seat from this same company, but it did not work quite well enough for me. This seat fits my frame well and protects me. It is comfortable enough for me to put 30 mile rides on without too much issue.

When I purchased my new bike I knew immediately I wanted a new saddle. I went to MEC and tested out numerous saddles and went online to read consumer reviews. This exact model was not in stock when I was testing but I had tried the classic and imaged this could be better yet.

Based off the reviews and price of this saddle I decided to purchase it. I wanted something light, comfortable for long rides and trails, weather proof and all without breaking the bank. My first impression was this saddle is very hard compared to my exectations.

After riding it a few times it has broken in a bit but still not as comfortable as I was expecting. I hope in the months to come it will break in more. It is very light, well constructed and feels of quality, breathes well and does not obstruct peddling.

The best part is I can spend hours on my bike and not get numb like I use to. Overall I am very happy with it and it is a good buy especially for the price.

This spring suspension, wide padded seat is like riding on a cloud at a great price. It is 10. 5″ x 10. 5″ so although it is similar in size to the one that came on my cruiser bike brand new, that’s where the similarities stop.

I ride my bike in a rural area with rough road and lots of hills and this seat makes all the difference in the trip. It has soft padding but is firm (I’m a big girl and it holds my 6′ 250# person very confortably) and the spring suspension is beyond fabulous.

This seat makes for a great riding experience for both short and long distances even in rough terrain. Great buy!.

Seat was easy to install This is for my wifes bike. She likes it. She has had two hip replacements This seat makes it comfortable for her to be able to ride again. Highly recommend

Had to replace the skinny seat that came with my back. Im a big girl so I needed something that would have my butt feel like I was riding with a brick seat. This seat made riding so much more comfortable and enjoyable!!!! Have had any pain since switching.

Its also very easy to assemble to the bike. Love it!.

Nice seat! Most anything is better that the stock seat on cheap bikes. Padded the butt bones like I needed. I rode 20 miles and my back side was tired but not sore. It is not like sitting on your couch.

after trying so many bike saddles and always end up dissapointing I am a proud owner of the most comfy saddle ever have. I am spending 12 huers a week on my bike and never experienced pain.

The difference that this saddle made in comfort was immediately evident. Just completed a 20 mile single track ride on the Colorado Trail and I am amazed at the difference in comfort. Highly recommend this saddle for those that are seeking bottom comfort.

I got the wider 185 mm version and glad I did. It does not restrict movement when climbing steep grades.

This brilliant new school seat design features a front to back trough that very effectively reduces the dead junk syndrome I got with all three of my old school solid seats. There is even an ‘air port’ in the trough.

wow. imagine that. This seat rates the five stars for design, comfort and build quality. This is one clean seat design top to bottom. Flat and well padded, my butt likes it. Most comfortable of the four seats I have rode.
