First off, let me start by saying I have Asian black/brown hair, which doesn’t take bleaching very well, and I don’t bleach or dye my hair that often either. I’ve never used boxed bleach kits before, but wanted to try this out after seeing it at Ulta.
2/3’s of my hair was previously bleached and dyed purple. This was about 2 months ago, the color had already faded. This time around I decided to color the other 1/3 of my hair. Packaging: The only issue I had was the tube for the bleach cream.
The tube with the cream was hard to get out, I had to cut the opposite end just to make sure I got all the product out. Product: Like I said, bleaching/dyeing my hair is not something I do often. This is just a review from my experience.
The bleach turned my pre-bleached hair pretty white after about 5 minutes. The rest of the hair that wasn’t previously bleached took about 40 minutes to lighten to a yellowish color. The bleach has a greasy feeling to it, which I’m guessing is a good thing to keep your hair healthy? I didn’t like that greasy feeling, but I can deal with it.
After bleaching I washed, shampooed and conditioned my hair, as well as using a hair mask. My hair doesn’t have that dry feeling like the other products I’ve used. I’m actually going to use it again tomorrow to go over the yellow parts of the hair before dyeing it red.
I’m not one to write reviews but I here I am at 2:30 in the morning, writing one after what just happened to me. I ran out of unicorn hair bleach for the right side of my head and applied Arctic fox (probably a terrible idea overall to mix two different brands but that’s beside the point) with Arctic fox, I went through the most painful experience I have ever been through which lasted over 2 hours.
I am a tough gal but I had to cut the development short by 10 min, my right side of my head is lumpy and swollen, I can’t even move my hair around, my scalp hurts so bad. When Paul Atreides stuck his hand inside of the box, i imagine this is the pain he had felt on his hand.
It was sooo painful to apply the hair color afterwards because of shifting of hair around that now my hair is 5 different shades from white to orange. The box says to not wash your hair for 2 days at minimum.
I hadn’t washed my hair for 3 days. I remember because I was trying to time the days along with my birthday and Thanksgiving day and it still burned the heck out of me. The unicorn worked beautifully no pain – felt really nice – this is the way.
I wish I had two boxes of Unicorn Hair Bleach Party to use. Never again.
I wish I could give this zero stars. I’ve bleached my hair several times at home and I’ve never had an issue before. I got this product because I’ve heard so many good things about AF. Well, this is their flop product.
It didn’t mix properly so it was super watery. It quickly turned to a foamy liquid even though it says no drip and it dripped down onto my roots and forehead. I got 1/4 way through my head (20 minutes) and I had to rinse it out because it processed so quickly and started to burn my forehead.
It gave me chemical burns on my scalp and forehead, very bad hot roots, and my hair started breaking off at my scalp. The woman who fixed my hair said it was a blessing that it processed so quickly that I rinsed it out because I would have lost all my hair if I had finished and let it sit the full time.
When I contacted the company they said that they recommend doing a 2:1 ratio. I told them then it should say that in the instructions because I followed what they said. I don’t know why this max strength 40 volume product is sold to the general public, it’s dangerous.
This high performance powder bleach delivers faster and brighter, superior lightening power. It is Dust-free, Non-drip concentrated formula, extra strength lightening action lifts up to 7 levels, for easy on-scalp or off-scalp application and stays moist and creamy throughout application and processing.
Quick blue works great! It has worked better for me than any other lightning powder I’ve ever used. I am very satisfied with results. It worked very well with a 40 volume developer to get my hair light enough so Arctic Fox color would be extremely vibrant and fun! I often recommend quick blue to family and friends.
Will continue to buy at Sally’s and use this product. My hair is naturally dark brown/black. In the darker picture below I was lightened with a couple bleach baths and previously had Arctic fox colors Wrath and Purple af in it.
I had not used color remover before bleaching, mostly because I really dislike the smell. Also, I am definitely not a professional. I am just doing this for fun and because I like it. In my opinion, life is too short and its just hair, it grows back.
So have fun and do what you want. Cut it short, color it blue, pink, green, who cares. As long as you like it, it is your hair after all. Don’t let anyone or even yourself hold you back from doing what you want! I hope this review will help someone out there.
I love this powder bleach for lightening and bleaching hair at home. I do my own hair, as well as my daughter and friends and other family members and I have done so for many years. so I have tried many different brands and types of bleach and this has always given me the best results.
It is simple enough for anyone to follow the directions and do on themselves or someone else. I do recommend though if you are doing your hair at home to ALWAYS first do a small test strip of hair just to make sure your hair can handle it before you put through your entire hair.
Then I would do a lot of research of the products you are using and reading all directions carefully and fully a few times before getting started and also it never hurts to watch a few YouTube videos.
Research the brands you are using as well and see what others have said about them, it will really make a difference when finding the best items for you to use on your hair at home. If you are doing your own hair and looking to lighten your hair I would recommend using this bleach, my experiences have always been pleasant.
I have bleached my hair before an the directions on this product not great 2 ozs is not enough developer it was like baking soda once it had mixed tried to get it in my hair in fpur sections like it says nope was like cement trying to put in my hair.
My husband ended up putting more developer in my hair to try an mix it in an for it to spread more thank god he did cause otherwise it qouldve been patches. Npte i ended up using 2 packets an still not enough I highly dont recommend using this product at all shimmerimg white an developer a lot better.
I couldnt remember what i used last time so igave this a try. It didnt work my hair is now orangish red lookimg an still can see brown to. Called the one I went to years ago they told me shimering white purple label an npw that I see it i can remember that was it an it will get it done first time make sure when you do this it is like a cake batter not a baking soda mixture wont work an it was burning me at the end to.
Important information Directions 1. Wearing the enclosed gloves, open the bleach plastic bag. Avoid inhaling powder. 2. Empty full contents of bleach powder into the provided tub. 3. Gradually add the developer to the bleach powder in the tub.
Using the brush, blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Sometimes it is not necessary to use all the contents of the developer. 4. Apply mixture immediately. Do not wait a long time.
ENCHANTED FOREST MANIC PANIC HAIR DYE. I’ve always had mixed experiences with manic panic hair dye. If you want the advertised shade you need very white blonde hair, if your hair is brown, black, tinted with any other color it will always come out another shade.
Usually still a beautiful and unique shade but you should expect it be different then the packaging color. I achieved this shade with a faded green and put the enchanted forest hair dye on top. The dye smells good and fruity in my opinion.
It’s thick, and if you don’t shampoo often it will last a long time! The dye is thick and I’ve always achieved gorgeous shades with this brand.
Manic Panic is a pretty good brand of dye for fashion (un natural/ vibrant/ rainbow) colors. Personally. I recommend Arctic Fox. But Manic Panic is pretty good. The colors stay vibrant for about 2-3 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair and what shampoo you use.
But Arctic fox lasts longer. Manic panic are however, brighter colors they just fade faster. There are only two brands of dye I will use on my hair and this is one of them.
horrible. way less in the box than their other bleach and it dried on contact with my hair. it caused irritation and didnt lift my hair nearly as well aa their other flash lightening projects. it left a dust in my hair causing it to snow when i tried brushing my hair after the shower and damaged my hair.
it also locked up my hair and made it impossible to part or section my hair. was missing the gloves, hair cap, and mixing bowl.
Clairol Professional Bw 2 Extra Strength Powder Lightener 1 oz minimizes powder fly-away. Extra-fast lightening. Extra-Moist formula. Lets you create lustrous highlights and special effects in no time at all.

Contains a moisture-sealing humectant, so every application starts with easy mixing and a creamy-smooth consistency that stays super-moist.
I purchased this in conjunction with the 20 Creme Developer – and that’s all you need! I have half-and-half hair: one side is black, the other, pink. Naturally, however, I have dark brown hair so while I don’t need to do my roots as often for my darker side, I do have to regularly upkeep the pink side.
I absolutely destroyed my hair years ago with Splat and other drugstore bleaches years ago (most of those are 40 Developer!) and I am here to tell you – you don’t need higher volumes! This works just as well.
Sometimes my roots can come out pretty brassy still but it’s an easy fix with toner or a purple shampoo. This bottle and tub have lasted me months, I bought them in December and while I am running low, I have enough for another root touch up.
I spent a little under $25 for the both of these and having gotten multiple applications out of them as you make what you need (instead of box dyes where you have to make and use it all then and there) – it’s definitely worth the switch!.
This Clairol bleach lightener powder definitely gets the job done. The lift is great just tend to make the hair a little dried out. I typically like to use this product on bundles or enchanting more so than natural hair for the fact that it leaves my natural hair feeling a bit dry.
But it definitely gives great lift so that a plus if you need a budget friendly alternative to do at home.
This is my first time using this bleach. I usually use a Wella bleach from Sally’s. I heard that this is a very common bleach for at home bleaching. I wanted allot of bleach for cheap, since I can’t go out and get my usual bleach (thanks to covid).
This is a great size, especially if you just want to keep up on your roots, this will last you a while I imagine. It is less dusty than average bleach, however I noticed the texture of the bleach powder isn’t as a finally ground as other bleaches.
It has more of a slight crumb texture to it. But, this doesn’t cause any issues as far as I know, it’s just something I noticed. It is a white bleach! Just keep that in mind, it will make your hair orange if your going from a really dark shade.
I used it as a bleach bath and it works as expected. Overall it’s a good deal for a good amount of bleach, it’s not super dusty. I would recommend especially if you are looking for an affordable bleach.
Our Hair Lightening Kit is exactly what you need to bleach hair to that perfect white canvas so its ready to show off some vibrant color. This 4oz hair lightening kit is vegan, gluten free, and Leaping Bunny Cruelty Free Certified.
I recently ordered 2 boxes of the GDY Lightening Kit from my local Sally store. When I opened the boxes to use them, I noticed that the kit was an older version of the product. The product & its formula have been updated since this kit (like it’s been YEARS) and I feel like I was cheated by paying full price for these old old products.
I have used this kit before many times and the older product does not lighten as well as the current formulas that they use. I’m a big fan of GDY’s products and know that I’m not the only person that’s received old products from Sally before.
Makes me wonder how many other products Sally is keeping on the shelves and selling.
I never want to use another brand of lightener for my hair at home besides GDY! It’s got the best consistency and is so easy to apply. It doesn’t drip, it doesn’t run, and if you pass the patch test, it doesn’t fry your scalp to bits of you accidentally get it too much of it on your skin for a few minutes.
Its developer is not too severe (25 vol. ), meaning you can take your time with application and not worry about the first sections you applied it to getting too light or becoming brittle and weak from the process of the formula.
I especially was grateful for this in my most recent bleach sesh, as I ran out of bleach mid-sesh and had to have my dad buy more! The first sections ended up enduring a few hours with the lightener on them, but they came out virtually unscathed in terms of texture and strength! Plus, they got SO LIGHT that even my new phone’s camera had real trouble capturing the result 😂 If you have hair like mine with low-porosity, a.
k. a. it takes forever to get wet and takes forever to dry, and you want a lightener that’ll take you up to level 9+ safely, this one is the holy grail. Just make sure to buy enough boxes of it ahead of time! 😉.
I did my research and saw the reviews and it seemed like a good product to lighten my hair without too much damage or irritation. Well I guess I was wrong because as soon as I got to my roots to start to finish the application it was burning.
My hair was really damaged afterwards. Luckily no hair fell out but still. Usually if I get bleach damage I can easily fix it but this time it’s being tricky. This stuff really messed up my hair. I have lightened my hair before with box stuff and it was much more pleasant.
There is so much brass too. That’s what I get for being lazy and not going to CosmoProf and enjoying free shipping at Sephora.
Hair type varies from person to person. It is the porosity of the hair that determines whether or not natural hair picks up the pigments. The actual color of natural hair alone does not determine whether or not bleaching is necessary.
Natural blonde hair may require bleaching to become porous just as any other hair color does.
It does its job. You will not have any pigment left in your hair. That said it is very harsh and not something I reccomend. I used it in high school once when I. got it in my head that I wanted pink hair.
Go to the hairdresser. I know this I have multiple in my family. I was being a teenager when I used this but I am encouraging teens and everyone else to leave it to the professionals. I had very short hair at the time so the damage went away quickly.
Golden rules. If you are going to bleach it then tone it. Leave it to the professionals they are trained ( they know the exact time to leave things on, what to do if ___ happens, etc etc)and practiced (daily ,at work, on all hair types) you do not know more than them.
You can spot a bottle job a mile a way. You do not possess the same skills as a hairdresser and what comes in those bottles is not quality. Also you can’t colour over colour. Sorry for rant. It works but is bad for you.
Don’t use it or do anything at home. Go to the salon.
This worked fantastic! Not only that, it smelled nice, and had GREAT directions! That’s super important when it comes to bleaching hair. I was able to lighten my daughters hair at least 7 shades for her to do her purple streak.
I left it only a half hour because I didn’t want to break her hair off, so just imagine if I left it 15 more minutes for the total time?! I’m just so totally pleased with this user/beginner friendly bleach.
Totally recommend. In fact, I’ve already purchased another box for my kids next round. One thing I will note, is not a lot comes in it, I would’ve needed maybe 2-3 boxes for her whole head, but it’s great for doing a couple streaks on short hair or one on long.
I have naturally dark brown hair, and at the time I first used this product, I’d wanted to change my hair color from dyed black to pastel purple and pink. To do this I knew I was going to need a strong enough bleach but didn’t want to blow my budget since I had so many other products to buy.
I normally don’t recommend Manic Panic but this bleach did what I needed it to well enough that my hair looked light blonde throughout before I moved on to dyeing it again. It did take two applications to do this though.
If you have lighter hair, you will NOT need a second application.
L’Oreal Quick Blue Powder Bleach 1 oz Lifts Up to Seven Levels and will achieve various effects, from the very subtle highlights all the way to global sheerest platinum, in one simple application. Quick, controlled Lightening action in a dust-free, concentrated formula.
Now for ON & OFF scalp application. Stays moist and creamy throughout application and processing, so there is no remixing needed during application.
Manic Panic Hair Dye 40 Volume Bleach Kit BLEACH KIT 40 vol. Manic Panic Amplified Flash Lightning Bleach Kit: 28g(1oz) Dust Free Bleach Powder 3. 0 oz. Developer Tint brush Plastic Gloves Mixing Tub Plastic Cap You get everything from developer with bleach powder to mixing tub to gloves to tint brush to cap.
Along with all this comes step by step instructions. Also instructions on how to do a preliminary strand test, which is always an essential part of the process. Results are permanent. Be sure.
Not for use if you want platinum WHITE hair however, I do like this product line. The mixing bowl it comes with is VERY small which makes it hard to effectively mix the product well, so I’d make sure you have your own bowl.
Also, I like the brush, but if you have a lot of hair, I’d buy a bigger brush. Being 40Vol you need to work fast. I have long, thick, course, platinum hair. First application, I used 2 boxes on just my roots, let sit for 2 hours, and then washed out.
I would not recommend 2hrs but I do not have a sensitive scalp, kept it fully saturated, bag over my head, kept checking it. I then had to use 2 toning masks (1 blue & 1 purple) for several hours each in my hair, & then rebleached my roots with 20vol, higher quality bleach.
After that, I “Toned it” with a purple shampoo. & Now 2 weeks later I still have to buy toner for my roots. This is my first time using this bleach kit. Normally I only have to bleach & tone once within a week & I am done.
I’m a product junkie so I thought I’d give it a shot! I will admit that to “normal people” they say my hair is white, but anyone who is platinum and picky like me, all you see is yellow LOL I would recommend this product but for VERY small outgrowth, touch ups, for blonde hair results (not white), or use prior to then coloring your hair a fun color 🙂 I also would recommend this if you are someone who has hair that lifts fast (just careful with 40vol) or whose roots are lighter.
The 40 Vol Manic Panic bleach is the best box lightener I’ve used for my hair. I have very dark brown, almost black, hair, and a lot of bleaches – especially with vol 20 developers – don’t lift me more than maybe 2 or 3 shades, and I get stuck in the wonderful red/orange phase.
THIS however gets me from my natural to a nice light blonde (so from about level 3 to level 10) in one sitting! The only issue I’ve come across, is with my last 2 purchases, as the developer in both have had foam coming out of the closed bottles? Now, my hair is highly stubborn, the developer still mixed with the powder well, and my hair didn’t seem to be anymore damaged that it normally is after a bleaching.
SO I’m not sure if the developer was expired or not? There’s no dates anywhere on either boxes, so I have no way of knowing. But, again, it still bleached my hair and didn’t make my hair fall out or anything, which is why the foam only takes off 1 star.
I have BLACK hair! And I meant B L A C K!!! My hair dressers over the years, asian or not, all made comments about how black my hair is LOL I never have luck trying to lighten my hair! I’ve bleached it couple times in my life, and every single time it ended with my scalp hurts or burns or my eyes just waters because of the fume no matter how/where/what they do, I do have pretty sensitive skin in general.
But I was ok the whole process. Recently after the pandemic, I have no really color my hair for a year, I just feel like changing it up without going to salon, so I figured I’ll just try this. I have thick hair slightly longer than shoulder length so I bought two boxes, and it’s pretty good amount to cover everything.
20 minutes into it, my hair is already gotten so light I’m pleasantly surprised! But that also is kinda of a double edge sword cuz I have not done applying to my whole head which made it pretty uneven! But that’s something I kinda know would’ve happened since I’m not a pro anyway! I’m hoping in a month when I do this the second time, when it’s so light it’ll be more even since they should be almost white.
My hair is rather healthy when I started with this, I can feel my hair gotten flat and don’t have the bouncy-ness anymore after bleaching. Again, this is expected since no bleach is really good for any hair anyway.
There’s some breakage too but not too bad. I do prep my scalp with oil and protection treatment well before going in, and I suggest everybody to do so, it won’t hurt!.
Get the gorgeous, luminous Super Blonde hair you’ve always wanted. Advanced super-lightening action delivers smooth, even blonding from root to tip and lightens natural or color-treated hair in one simple step.
Super-rich creme protects and conditions as it lightens, and the specially formulated conditioning shampoo deeply hydrates, keeping hair soft and manageable.
I have been using this hair color for about 10 years. I have dark brown hair and I leave it on roots for 50 minutes, use purple shampoo for toner and the color is exactly like the picture on the box.
Only use 1/2 box a month. Mix it in a bowl and apply with a brush. Not a week goes by that someone doesn’t stop me and ask where I get my hair colored. And the funniest thing is that I work at a salon!.
Hello ladies, This will be the 2nd time I have written a review on this said product. I have used thia multiple times but this will be the second review because sometimes results change. Product can be the same without the identical finished product.
Upon using this with lighter roots as before i had light to medium brown roots. My hair came out amazing. No toner needed. No purple shampooing in the shower for weeks. Absolutely perfect color. Now ladies I am a firm believer on off scalp lightening I do not take it to the root on my scalp i leave about 1/4 inch gap.
As i said before I love this product. Ni Sally beauty supply run and very cheap. Kit comes with instructions, gloves, bleach, developer, cream lightener, toner, after care wash and applicator tips.
my hair color is super flat and boring with absolutely no highlights whatsoever. I started using the Loreal super blonde number 200 and it works well. My fiance then found number 205 and it makes my hair look beautiful like one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends! I have amazing highlights and it does not make my hair look flat or boring whatsoever! I love this and I will never use any other dye! The scary saying is my hair is super thin but this has never cause serious irreparable damage.
Whenever I am done my hair is always super soft! So soft as a matter of fact it is difficult to put up the next morning because it is like silk and slips between my fingers. I would recommend this product to absolutely anybody that wants to go a natural looking pretty blonde.
For the ulitimate dramatic color results when you dye your hair, you have to bleach your hair first. You can get amazing blonde results, too! Best Choice for Pre- Lightening hair before using Special Effects Hair Dye.
Can be used to bleach hair that is medium blond or medium brown to make it pale yellow or white. Good for frosting, streaking and tipping on light brown or medium brown hair.
This is the best Ive ever used! Ive seen some reviews complaining about the product leaving yellow, orange or brassy undertones. After you dye your hair, youre supposed to use toner afterwards. For orange undertones, you use a blue toner.
For yellow undertones you use a purple toner. Blue is the opposite on the color wheel from Orange, so blue cancels out orange tones. Same with purple. You have to purchase a toner, AND 20-30 volume developer separately.
Best bleach ever. I’ve never used this before, but the regular blonds never get it light enough. This one does, the color i got was amazing. I had a dark pink that had partially grown out so what i got was like a white fading to pink.
🙂 meaning if you have hair color in your hair and do not want that effect, might wanna use a color stripper first, it will bleach the virgin hair but wont remove all color. Had a bit of brassiness but that is normal for me and a bit of purple shampoo took that out.
It definitely lightened my hair! I really should have used 2 boxes bc I ran out. If your hair is past your shoulders definitely buy 2 boxes. Id never ran out of any kinda of color or bleach before until now.
Very good product but not a lot to do a whole lot of hair.

It is recommended to verify the level of the brightening process at regular intervals and treat the skin on the forehead with vaseline in order to prevent irritation. Read the enclosed instructions carefully!.
Great kit, lightening my hair was really easy and worked really well for my balyage. You don’t get alot of bleach but it does work really well and I have had no snapping or thinning of hair, would recommend to anyone wanting to take atleast 4 shades lighter from a strong dark brown.
Bought two i have medium length hair and brown and i tried applied two other all the hair but didnt bleach well as it was too little. It is really a waste of money. I spoke to a professional who told me i needed 5 pack to be able to bleach them well.
I was literally terrified while trying this product because I’m very fond of my hair lol but it surprisingly worked great! It did not damage my hair much at all, if any. I would just like to add that you might need 2 packs depending on your hair, if I were to bleach my hair to the roots then I’d need 2 packs but my hair is down to my waist.
Brite Bleach Kit is your go-to, dust-free, ammonia-free kit for bleaching that can lift and lighten your hair by up to 8 levels. This low odor, high performance lightener is suitable for all hair types.
PETA certified, vegan and cruelty free. Kit contains 2. 7 fl oz Developing Cream 1. 69 fl oz Lightening Cream 1. 69 fl oz Hair Mask Pair of gloves Instruction leaflet Age Group: adult.
Used this on my daughter who has hair just below her shoulders that’s pretty thick. It was hard to apply using the provided gloves and I kept wishing I’d picked up one of the $12 Madison reed kits that comes with the mix bowl, clips and an application brush.
We ran out of the concoction as I was done applying a very sparse layer to the back of her hair so the entire back is still brown. The front (where I was able to apply enough to Saturate the hair) was platinum.
Would I buy 3 or 4 packs of this to get the job done? Maybe. There’s an Aveda school and training salon near me that probably costs about the same so I might do that instead. If that wasn’t the case then yes…as long as I also have picked up the application brush.
I really wanted something that was safer than other toxic alternatives because my skin and scalp, well basically everything is sensitive and i also take allergy meds daily. This was perfect for me i didn’t notice any reactions or sensitivities.
I was extra cautious and even did this outside for better ventilation and used gloves and a smock and old clothes i didn’t mind throwing away or using as old work clothes just in case. I lined my hairline with Vaseline all the way around.
I followed the directions to a T by reading it several times and watching videos as well. If you have never done something like this before it’s best to be over prepared than underprepared because U can end up in bad shape.
If you are looking for a safer alternative product such as this then I’m thinking you are already going to be cautious. I’m very pleased with the results and the items included in the package. I also like to use hair masks and color conditioners to help make this last.
Try this product out if you are on the fence it is well worth it for your peace of mind and your hair.
I love this bleach! It is the whole package. Cruelty free, vegan, effective and gentle. I have a very sensitive scalp that burns easily. I shave the sides and back of my head every three weeks then bleach those areas and my scalp is just fine and my hair is a super light platinum-ish blonde.
I use the Brite silver tube hair color mixed with some purple conditioner for about 45 minutes after my hair dries and get the perfect silvery ashy platinum color. My hair is naturally a dark, ugly dishwater blonde that is not flattering on me at all but this fixes that!.
Powder Bleach Minimizes powder fly-away. Extra-fast lightening. Extra-Moist formula. Lets you create lustrous highlights and special effects in no time at all. Takes blondes to paler-than-pale revs up redheads lightens-up brunettes.
Works quickly, easily and beautifully. Deducted, denser powder minimizes fluff fly-away. Makes applications neater, cleaner.
I have thick, coarse hard to lift hair. This bleach took a lot of my color away, enough to then dye with a dark blonde. I saw a few people that said they didn’t think the smell was as bad as others. not the experience I had, it was so crazy strong it ran me out of my bathroom several times.
However I didn’t care because it works. If you are researching bleach, especially for color correction, I’d choose this one. I used a 40 volume developer.
High Performance Ionic Bleach. Controlled lifting up to 9 levels with iconic bonding system. Even color results, leaving hair a vibrant blonde shades with supple and static-free feeling. Dust free formula provides the most intense lightening procedure.
I used this bleach for years. It worked for the most part. However if a client had any chlorine or metals in her hair, this bleach would instantly get hot and swell. I understand that that is a chemical reaction, but I experienced this more and more often which lead me to believe that maybe it was partly the bleach itself.
The bleach swells, so you have to be extra careful when figuring out how close to feather down before touching the previous blonde.
Blacklight lightener system is the best on the market. They are all meant to be intermixable and are patented technology. Cool tone had bleach resistant dyes to help lift and tone in one step. The only cream lightener thatd ever lifted more than 6 levels.
This blonde powder bleach lightener lifts very well while repairing the hair at the same time allowing for a shiny finish that has minimal damage. This lightener gets my guests super bright!

I’ve never done anything to my hair before and I used this with 40 volume developer, and I went from black to a deep orange with one round of bleach which I think isn’t too bad. I’m no professional but I’m just glad my hair didn’t fall off.
I did a test strand to check if my hair would get stretchy like I’ve seen some on YouTube after using specific bleaches, but it was fine. I definitely would recommend using a plastic bag to wrap your hair if you’re not using foil, so you get an even lift and spray the plastic with some water.
I didn’t do this with the back, so I got patches and the hair that touched my neck was significantly lighter. As for the actual product there is a lot in there which removes panic of ever running out of bleach if you didn’t mix enough.
It doesn’t smell bad either and my roots didn’t sting (I didn’t shower my hair for 3 days before bleaching).
If I knew this product was from your store (bought online), I would have bought it from somewhere else. The 2 snarky ladies that quipped that I had to wear a mask or could not shop there (in store) should have been the last time I attempted to shop from you.
This mistake of buying from you won’t happen again. I can get the products from other stores that respect peoples right to chose. I wonder if this will get deleted like all the other things being censored?.
L’Oreal Quick Blue Powder Bleach 1 Lb is a high performance powder bleach. It has a Dust-free, Non-Drip concentrated formula. Quick Blue delivers faster and brighter superior lightening powder with extra strength lightening action that lifts up to 7 levels.
Suited for easy on-scalp or off-scalp application. Stays moist and creamy throughout application and processing.
I think this is the BEST bleach powder on the market. It can be mixed with 20, 30, or 40 developer; whereas other bleach powders I’ve used can only be mixed with 20 or 30. I saw alot of reviews that said it was strong and would cause you to cough, but I didn’t have any of that.
It mixed very well and quickly with the developer, it wasn’t clumpy and I didn’t have to add more developer to get the consistency I wanted. Fast acting, as soon as I put it on my hair it was blonde.
Directions said wait 45 minutes, but my locs were done baking in 30 minutes. It was very easy to wash out and that was a big plus for me because I have locs. It takes some work to get all of the shampoo and conditioner out of locs so I assumed this would be the same, but no it came out pretty quickly.
this product is absolutely amazing and does an awesome job for such a cheap price! For the longest time I wanted to bleach my hair and I saw this in the beauty store and instantly grabbed it! The first time I grabbed one because I thought that would be enough for a little patch of hair but my hair being very dark I had to buy a second packet XD The results I got and how quickly it when light was almost scary at first, and surprisingly my hair took it very well and did not snap off because I coated my hair strands like to no other 🤗 Being a bleach virgin, I was terrified and had to watch multiple videos from professional hairstylist and people who are used to color their hair at home to know exactly what to do and how to do it.
Thank you Brad Mondo, thank you Gabby and thank you to all professional hairstylist out there who try to educate those who cant always afford to pay $100 per year session!! I will definitely be buying this again as I guess the phrase goes ‘once you go blonde you want to never go back…’ 😂😂😂.
For use with 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 volume cream developer. Superior condition and shine is achieved through a special combination of natural oils and conditioning agents. A beautiful sandalwood fragrance ensures a pleasant environment and comforting experience.
Experience Dual Purpose Lightener and discover a better way to blonde from Paul Mitchell. Dust free formula lifts hair evenly and quickly with control. Natural oils of jojoba and castor bean, in a unique encapsulation process, with a soothing sandalwood fragrance, buffer the lightening process to reduce damage and replenish nutrients lost during lightening service.
Natural tone and shine. Ideal for both on and off scalp applications on-scalp double process blonding, off scalp foil highlighting, color correction, block color techniques, and painting.
This stuff is one of the best lighteners out there. Some of the other lightness I have used fry my hair and it doesn’t lighten my hair as promised on the box. Paul Mitchell turns my hair almost white depending on how much product I use and how long I leave it in for.
And it doesn’t do that thing when my roots lighten 4 shades lighter then the rest of my hair. If you use as the directed on the box your hair will come out as they promise on the box!.
I use this lightener on my clients and I have to say it gets the job done! It’s not your typical lightener smell but instead a nice sandalwood scent. I also love that it proceses fast but you do have to check on your foils regularly to make sure you get the outcome you want.
The only small thing i don’t like is that you need to shake the container before you scoop because the conditioning oils create little clumps that need to be broken up.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! At first, I didn’t like it because I went to a Paul Mitchell beauty school and I didn’t know how to use this product correctly. I now work for a Paul Mitchell focus salon and W0W this product is awesome! First off, I like the scent of this lighter.
The bleach works great. It’s quite aggressive. Works well for Asian and Hispanic clientele. The bleach penetrates the cuticle really good. A little goes a long way. Only down side is I have notice that when the bleach gets hot in the foil the bleach starts to sweat.

am on my second tub of this lightener, so I feel I can give an honest review! I have used different lighteners in the past, and I appreciate how Kenra’s actually has a pleasant scent! I do find warmth is controlled.
However, I mix this lightener to a smooth consistency and about five minutes into applying it I find myself back over at the color bar adding in more developer. This guy likes to dry out! I tend to mix with 30vol, and this lightener takes its sweet old time lifting! Kenra is a gentler color brand, so I can understand the slower lifting process–but it can come to a disadvantage if there’s a time crunch!.
Love Kenra. They gave fantastic products. This bleach always leaves my hair silky smooth even after a second process. This mixes super well with a whisk. Easy to get consistent. Easy to use. Uses the same developer which is fantastic! Great over all.
Kenra color is so great, they offer so many different colors and leave the hair feeling healthy and soft after use. The color lasts weeks through washes and blow dries. I love kenra hair color
